the first time it happens, it’s a mistake — a brief moment of vindictiveness manifest in the way he whines and nuzzles into your neck before opening his mouth and sinking his teeth into your skin. when you gasp, your head tipping back, kenma pauses, pulling back, his mind already cataloging this very interesting new piece of information for later use, but his eyes have yet to catch up — his body has yet to catch up with the sight of you, cheeks pink, lips parted, eyes slightly glazed over as you stare ruefully up at him, a hand coming up to press over your mouth as you frown.

“w-what was that for?”

kenma hums, sitting back with a pout, “you were the one being unfair.”

you scowl, “how was i being unfair? you lost the game fair and square — the stakes were loser does the dishes.”

kenma sniffs, his nose crinkling at the thought, “but we have a dishwasher — it’s literally in the name —”

“but the nice wine glasses can’t be put through the dishwasher!”

you push yourself up onto your elbows even as kenma slumps back on the sofa, groaning loudly. still, he lets his head slump to one side to stare at the rapidly darkening patch of skin at the junction of your neck and shoulders. there’s something that feels dangerously like desire calcifying in the pit of his stomach and he weighs the pros and cons of leaning forward to give you another good bite.

really, dinner was great, dessert was better but — this.

suddenly, he understands what his teammates had always meant when they’d said they could keep on eating forever, even when their stomachs were full to bursting, even when they thought they’d be ill.

“stupid wine glasses…” he murmurs, leaning forward to prop his chin on your shoulder. you laugh, a soft, breathy thing as you reach out to tug a strand of hair from his low, messy bun.

“but the wine was good, no?”

kenma hums, letting his head loll back and forth, his eyes flickering down once more to the round ring of red now rising against your skin. he allows himself a tiny grin, leaning forward to press a kiss over the tender flesh. he makes note of the way you gasp, soft and expectant, the way your body seems to tense and then go laxed beneath his hands.

“yeah…” he whispers, smirking as he sinks delicate fingers into your hair, gently shifting your head to one side to allow him more access, “guess it was good…”

he presses another kiss to your neck, just slightly below the reddening hickey.

“g-guess? that was — a-an expensive bottle…”

“hmmm…” kenma trails his lips down over your shoulder, tugging lightly at your shirt, the wide collar falling away easily. when he finds yet another patch of unmarred skin, grazing his teeth over it, he feels the way you reach up to fist your fingers in his hair.

“’zume… don’t think you can get out of doing the dishes like this…”

kenma laughs, letting his breath puff out against your skin seconds before he opens his mouth and takes another soft bite. he doesn’t miss the way you whimper this time, doesn’t mistake the hitch in your breath for something like surprise when he knows better — and he knows you best of all.

“not trying to get out of doing it… just… we never specified when the loser has to do the dishes so…” he licks his lips, glancing up at you with a bright, devilish flicker behind his eyes, “i’m just taking my time with the meal. nothing wrong with that, right?”

tsukki.

it is a normal thing, for you to wake up in the morning and find remnants of the night before scattered across your skin like sand dollars littered upon a stretch of beloved beach. and tsukishima is never apologetic — ever.

if anything, he looks upon his work with pride, smirking as you tug at the collar of your shirt, tutting.

“tsukki… i told you not to bite so hard…”

“hmm… sorry, i must’ve forgotten,” he props a cheek on his hand, peering at you over his glasses, his tone the farthest thing from apologetic, “heat of the moment and all.”

you shoot him a reproachful look in the mirror and watch as his grin widens ever so slightly.

“the girls are the museum are gonna have a field day with this.”

tsukishima shrugs, slumping back into the bed with a loud, long sigh.

“dunno why girls have such a weird fixation on other people’s boyfriends. ‘s not like it’s any of their business.”

you tug listlessly at the collar of your button up shirt, resigned to the fact that you’ll never be able to hide the marks properly as you heave another sigh.

“it’s just how we communicate — it’s like… how guys sometimes just need to like… punch it out — or whatever.”

“or whatever?” tsukishima almost chortles, rolling over onto his stomach again. your schedules at the museum only overlap 2 days a week, and the rest of the days, either he’s off or you are. it’s a miracle the pair of you were able to meet in the first place, let alone hit it off like you did.

“yeah. i don’t know how guys communicate,” you say, even as tsukishima swings out of bed to come up behind you, looping his arms around your middle.

“we… don’t, really,” he admits, in a customary deadpan, propping his chin on the top of your head with obscene ease. you frown up at him, tilting your head back till it hits the middle of his chest.

“you’re gonna make me late again.”

“so?”

“so — unless you want me to get fired —”

“they’re not gonna fire you. you’re too good at… cataloging maps, or whatever it is you guys do in the cartography department.”

tsukishima spins you around his arms, pressing you lightly back against the mirror. he considers you for a moment, with eyes just sharp enough to pass for academic interest, but you see the darkness misting its depths, the pressure in his fingertips as he leans in to seal his lips over yours in a kiss that could only be called searing.

you break away gasping, only to feel his lips trail fire down your neck seconds before —

“t-tsukki — !”

he pulls back with a satisfied smirk; you can feel yet another bruise blooming along your skin.

“there. one more thing for you and your girlfriends to bond over, hm?”

kageyama.

it is a deliberate thing, the first time. but kageyama remembers the strange gravity, the tug just behind his navel, the persistent itch of curiosity as he leans forward to sink his teeth into your skin.

he likes the way you hiss, the way you go soft in his arms, the pair of you already a pile of tangled limbs on the massive sectional in the living room, the lights dimmed, half a bottle of red wine yet un-drunk on the coffee table.

“tobio… what —”

he hums, burying his face in your shoulder, fingers digging into your sides.

“… something i wanted to try…”

“hm?” you gently card your fingers through his hair, quirking your head to one side.

“it’s just —” he pulls back, a deep blush prickling his cheeks as he looks anywhere but at you, “something… i’ve wanted to try. for — a while,” he admits, looking shockingly small for a internationally renowned volleyball player, hunched over on the couch like this, his lips stained dark with wine.

you giggle, leaning up to tilt his chin back towards yours.

“sure. you can try whatever you want.”

you lay back, stretching out beneath him, pliant and willing, and kageyama goes still for a solid four seconds before he narrows his eyes, an un-namable hunger clawing at his insides as he pulls you beneath him and groans into your skin.

he likes the way the colors seep the surface of your skin, likes the way it’s so obvious against the bright of your collarbones. he spends all of the following day in an intoxicatingly good mood, to the point where his teammates are understandable suspicious. but he just tells them he slept well, that he had a good dinner last night, that wine was really, really delicious.

there’s the barest hint of a tease in his voice, and anyone else might’ve thought he’s completely serious, that he’s actually worried. and in a sense, he is — he’d never want to actually hurt you. but he also knows that — to a certain degree, you revel in this kind of pain.

you chew on your bottom lip, shaking your head.

“no… it’s — it’s okay.”

“yeah?” he sounds entirely too happy with himself as he reaches forward to thumb at the damp spot on your skin, “ah… that one’ll be pretty. just like you!”

he laughs, his joy so pure and infectious that it makes you blush. you look away.

“hm? what is it, pretty girl?”

he bends back down to press a light kiss to your collarbone, peaking up at you with those would-be innocent eyes.

hinata laughs, that self-same, joyous sound.

“but i like teasing you!” he says, with no hint of malice, not a single sliver of shame.

you can only cover your eyes with your arm, turning your head away.

“aww, don’t do that —” he says, coaxing your hand away before pinning both of them above your head with a single, fluid move. your breath hitches.

“don’t hide from me…”

it’s too much to hope for that someone with eyes like his would miss such a thing. you watch as the dark, lightless centers of his eyes grow ever so slightly larger, threatening to overtake the honeyed ring of his actual iris.

“can’t… can’t help it…” you look away, feeling the waves of indomitable heat, wave after wave, washing through you, collecting at the base of your stomach to twist into something deeper, something harder.

“can’t help what, hm?” hinata laces your fingers with his; distinctly, you can feel his thighs flex on either side of your legs, locking you in place. the summers are hot in rio, but you can’t help but wonder if more than half the heat in the room might be coming from the pair of you alone.

all around him, the air wavers like a reflection in pond-water —

“shou… just —” you lick your lips.

“ah…” there’s a soft whine curling at the edge of his voice as he leans down, “you’re not playing fair at all…”

desire pulses like a heartbeat inside you.

“shouyou, please,” you beg, trying to wrest some semblance of control back from him but he’s having none of it. he pins your hands to either side of your head, his bed more than wide enough for the pair of you, with room to spare.

“mah… you gotta be a bit more specific than that,” he says, his voice almost casual as he noses into your pulse point right beneath your jaw. you hold your breath and a second later, the harsh sting of his teeth rakes through you, chasing pleasure down your spine.

also I like to imaging mc and mams dancing together, and just because he’s a dorky romantic he ends up scooping them up to kiss them instead of dipping them down, like it causes heads to turn and stuff but he doesn’t really care, he loves Mc so much and he thinks people should absolutely admire them and be dazzled by them exactly like how he is✨

NO bc i swear to god there's a scene where she mouths what someone else is saying ☹️☹️ i know she's always paying close attention to how people say things or how they move cuz she Never knows what to do with her arms or what facial expression to make ... she's practicing in the mirror no matter what kind of social interaction she knows is coming... that's why she has a mirror in her hut in the wilderness.... it's all coming together.

autistic lottie who's SUPER empathetic and can't control her facial expressions when she's feeling other peoples emotions :( when you're upset about something and she's trying to comfort you she's looking at you with the Saddest doe eyes ever it almost makes u more upset just looking at her cuz u think ur upsetting Her now😭

i know she gets Super emotional when watching a sad movie too.. like she's tearing up before it even gets to the super sad part 😭 she tries so hard to cry quietly whenever she does cuz she doesn't want to bring attention to it :/

thought about this a few times but i don't think ive ever said it but! i love love love the idea of lottie who stutters.. not even bc she's nervous but because she just has a stutter! lottie who speaks maori and when she's super nervous, she'll start messing up english with it ☹️

she just feeds off of others emotions its crazy.... coming home to her after work and being pissed off, ranting to her about how bad ur day was and she's looking at you like YOU fucked up 😭 getting angry with you basically and you have to ask for reassurance that she's not rly mad at you 😭 her face switches up so fast ...😞

she could cry at parts ur not even supposed to cry at 😭 she's very intuitive too....she can guess the outcome and that's part of the reason why she cries so easily lul. she's already wiping tears out of her eyes during a calm scene before tragedy strikes and ur just trying to enjoy the movie 😭 don't even ask her to watch sad dog movies btw. she'll hate you for a few days for putting her thru that.

i cant stop thinking about history nerd lottie 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 lottie who brings up random facts when you mention something slightly related to whatever it is she brings up... or just sitting in comfortable silence with her and she really wants to tell you about the history of 14th century Europe or some shite. adult lottie helping you with your college history homework :(( going to her when you have a question and she ends up rambling on for almost an hour about a yes or no question 😭😭 she always asks you how ur doing in that class andoh my glob taking you to history museums 😭❤️❤️❤️ acting smarter than the guides and telling you how things Really went down...

for rest and relaxation⋆.ೃ࿔*:･🎐

GIVE YOURSELF TIME ;

give yourself time to rest and relax and focus entirely on yourself and feeling better. choose a specified amount of time to just rest. this frees up time for inner work, healing etc. during that time identify the "why" to which u feel the way that you do.

identifying the issue helps you, after the rest and relaxation, to understand what it is that u need to focus on the most. therefore u can formulate goals suited to deal with the issue. set some ground rules before you start your resting period so that then your not going to be moving backwards on your goals.

RESTFUL MOVING ;

when u rest its important to not just sit at 0%. what i mean by that is always do at least a little something. when u make it a habit to just give 0% and do absolutely nothing, you'll find that things that u worked for will start to deteriorate and ur health both mentally and physically will be worse then when u started which isnt the point of rest at ALL.

im not saying that while ur resting and relaxing you have to be doing a whole workout or running x amount of miles. what im saying is that whilst resting do 1% of that. an example of restful moving could be...

dance when u wake up - i saw this in a tiktok and basically the logic behind this is that when ur dancing ur giving your body freedom and fluidity that translates to ur brain as well. so that then ur not so stiff and rigid and it improves ur mood.

DURING THE ROT ;

something that i find interesting to do is that while ur rotting, document it and write out what u do/did while rotting. that way when ur done with ur rest and relaxation you can look back and see what u did. doing so can also help u see what u needed or easily identify what was wrong/what sent u into rot.

ways i spend my resting time : setting aside time to think, write in my journal. spending time girlblogging, working on projects and formulating ideas. spending quality time with my dog. watching shows that i have on my watch list. reading lots and lots of books, manga etc. taking frequent naps and writing down the dreams that i've had. doom-scrolling on tiktok. watching true crime video essays.

AFTER THE ROT ;

if you haven't read my post the feel better formula, i rly recommend that u do so that then u can see the how to get out of that rot. but if u haven't read the post i'll quickly go over the points here.

listening to music and dancing

listen to songs that give you dopamine and just songs that you'd feel comfortable dancing to. in the feel better formula post i mentioned that twice gives me lots of dopamine so whenever i need some i listen to their songs.

practicing self care

getting ready everyday has been a game changer for me. even if ur not going out after ur rot just get ready as though you were. get into some cute clothes, practice self care, do ur makeup

a nice long journalling session

my journalling routine is update my diary 2x a week and do a shadow work session 1x a week. but for my longer journaling sessions i'll do an extended shadow work session and journal and get out whatevers on my mind onto paper.

(self care activity + something that engages ur mind + REAL rest + movement + hobby = feeling better).

SOME WAYS TO RELAX ;

sound bath ; sound healing is something that’s been interesting to learn about for me. so the concept of a sound bath is just relaxing and bathing yourself in sound frequencies as a way to relieve stress, healing, and general wellness. 

how i like to do it, is i’ll just look up “sound bath” on youtube and while im stretching or just laying down i’ll listen to it and it’s so soothing! or i listen to these subliminals by i want it i got it and they have frequencies in them so i do that as well. 

at home spa day ; reference this post bcuz it gives a little at home spa day routine.

More on SakuMei! Alrighty so if they got back together I see them being much more mature and ready for a relationship than the first time around. It starts out very slow, they’re hesitant to get back together after what happened the first time. But since they’ve been friends for so long, they fall into a natural comfortability with one another

They enter a honeymoon phase, being the happiest they’ve ever been together. Their friends are happy to see them happy, although there’s some slight jealousy on Natsuhiko’s end. Mei is leaving the art room more and actually trying to enjoy her “life.” Sakura helps her work through her existential problems and figure out who and what she is. Mei helps Sakura make sense of their own feelings and learn how to express them. Instead of focusing so much on their own wants for a relationship, they focus on helping each other. And through that help, they both become comfortable expressing when they’re unhappy with something or want something in the relationship to change. Real healthy shit, we have left their toxic yuri days behind

As for the type of dates they go on, I think they’re very lowkey. They drink tea and read books in the broadcasting room, or in Sakura’s boundary. Due to the open space, their dates often turn into group hangouts, so if they want privacy it’s best to go to the art room or the library. The art room isn’t always safe as Nene and Tsukasa will barge in whenever they feel like it. But the library can get crowded too so really, this school is hell for these two introverts. They make it work though, once the students have cleared out it’s pretty vacant

If you haven’t noticed I’m a big filmbro and like to include movies in just about every fic I write. This is more of a Sakura/Natsuhiko thing but I apply it to other ships with them, I think Sakura would be rly into creepy/gory movies. They have tackled the Disturbing Movie Iceberg (I’m only two tiers down, I’m too sensitive to watch all that shit lmao) and like to make ppl watch gross movies with them. To Natsuhiko it’s a form of torture but Mei doesn’t care for fiction so she’s more indifferent (Ik a lot of the movies on the Iceberg are documentaries/home videos but shhhh we’re ignoring that for this). She complains but she doesn’t get scared or grossed out the way Natsuhiko does, it’s more that she’ll point out how unrealistic the special effects are and make fun of the bad writing. Bad movies are Sakura’s favorite though so they laugh along, that way they end up bonding over their judgemental natures. By the end, Mei might end up falling asleep on Sakura’s shoulder

Most of their dates involve them just sitting around and talking. They don’t always have to say something, but they can keep a conversation going very easily. Neither of them are that talkative in crowds but one-on-one they could yap for hours. Because of this they know each other super well, they’re able to keep up with each other’s interests and viewpoints. They get into deep, philosophical discussions often, which leads Sakura to lighten the mood with tea

Now let’s imagine them in another life where they’re both human and get to grow old together. OG Mei and No.4 Mei are twin sisters here bcuz I said so. I don’t see No.4 Mei doing art full time but she keeps it up as a hobby for whenever she’s stressed, partially because it’s something that connects her to Shijima. She would have an art room in her house full of paintings of Sakura and her family (credit to you for that hc lol). OG Mei absolutely becomes an art teacher tho. I could actually see No.4 Mei going into the medical field and becoming a doctor, since art isn’t really her thing I think she’d be more of a science person. There’s also more personal reasons for it, she wants to help kids that are going through what her sister went through

For Sakura it’s hard to say. I think they’d own some sort of gothic tea room. They sell tea there as well to make some extra income. Not that they need it with their rich doctor wife, but it’s a nice bonus. To commit to the bit they wear black vintage gowns to work every day. And their house is an old manor, funded mainly by the aforementioned doctor wife. One thing abt Sakura is they’re going to commit to an aesthetic. They host a lot of events at the tea room like murder mysteries/scavenger hunts, especially around Fall. Mei stops by each one to support her partner, and when she does she’s always the one to solve the mystery

They have a son, one of those cursed little Victorian boys. They also own an unreasonable amount of cats, all with very formal names. They’re very weird parents, but good ones. I’m getting Addams Family vibes. Mei also goes butch in the future so she can be the Gomez, trust. They encourage their son to learn healthy communication skills and take up hobbies so he can explore his interests and make friends. They’re also very loving towards one another, a very romantic couple. They end up having a wonderful life together, along with their son and many friends who crash the manor. Natsuhiko and Shijima pop in most often, along with Tsukasa and Aoi/Nene. On occasion Mitsuba will drag Kou up to visit but he always gets creeped out by the place. This would make a great family sitcom

Common ADHD traits/experiences I've heard of !!

(I was gonna make a post about why I might be neurodivergent but I figured it'd be going a bit too personal. Also this is just easier)

(ADHD is much more nuanced and complex than I may make it appear in this post. A lot of ADHD people don't have a lot of these traits or have traits not mentioned here. For example there are three types of ADHD (inattentive, hyperactive and combined) and most inattentive adhders are not going to be hyperactive lol)

Warning: badly worded (I'm stupid that's my excuse). also I'll go on personal rants as to how some of these may apply to me (whilst I can reasonate with each point listed here I won't go on a rat on all of these)

Physical hyperactivity (inability to sit/stand still (I used to think this meant that people with ADHD were incapable of. Sitting down (while constantly fidgeting or not) for one whole class)(I was an idiot)(I still am)). (Just overall constant , movement (I might have it idk I'm ALWAYS

Excessive talking

Stimming, fidgeting, general and overall repetitive movements (such as flapping hands, pacing, clasping hands together, etc)

Low attention span regarding things that don't garner much interest to you

More likely to be autistic, have anxiety or depression (or generally have other diagnostic conditions)

Ability to Hyperfocus on specific things, at times out of their control

More likely to have a lower Performance in school that most people

Proneness to addiction

Rejection sensitive dysphoria/RSD (really sensitive and afraid to rejection or criticism or disapproval or stuff like that. I'm questioning if I have it and I'm pretty sure I do bc i would have a whole breakdown bc i accidentally had a bad unintentional thought about this cool person I didn't want to hate me)(it's complicated)

Emotional disregulation (easily irritable, excited, stressed, stronger emotions, more likely to lash out, etc)(people with this are usually described to be much more emotional)

restless leg syndrome (except it's permanent lol)

Lower memory spans regarding most things

Forgetting to fulfill basic needs (such as eating, drinking, showering, etc)

Women/AFAB people are more likely to be diagnosed with inattentive ADHD (this of course does not rucking mean afab people can't b hyperactive my god)

Having Hyperfixations (things you're DEEPLY invested in for a period of time, it can be a few days, weeks, months, sometimes more than a year, depends rly)(I'm still questioning if I'm neurodivergent but like I'm pretty sure I was in a DEEP hyperfixation mode when it came to sonic for like. A YEAR. like I literally it was literally the only thing on my brain the only thing in my life. and I would get realllytyy excited about learning obscure information about it or infodumping and I would flap my hands bc of how excited and passionate I was Abt it)(man I miss the times when I was so passionate about stuff I liked it was so fun :(( )

Higher/lower levels of empathy (I've seen this moreso been brought up with discussions regarding autism but I've also seen it brought up with ADHD itself too)

10. what inspires your drawing ideas?

it depends! lyrics, fics, other art, a suggestion, an outfit, an image, a memory, a Want...there's pretty much no limit to things tht cn potentially trigger a Vision shdfjg most of the time it hits out of nowhere though. when it happens it feels like a burst of tv noise n it kind of swims around unformed in my brain until i go on pinterest or sit down and actually scribble a sketch to solidify the idea like i am trying to find a clear radio frequency

despite the fact that he has been uncharacteristically cooperative as of late, yuuji has always been on the trickier side for me. megumi, and as much as i loathe to admit, gojo, are /very/ up my alley in terms of character design and drawing them feels very intuitive as a result. the tall lanky prettyboy type with Eyes (tm) and Eyelashes (tm).....i hate myself im sorry you could read me from fucking space anyway yuuji i had to fight for. for all the men and boys i draw, i tend to prefer androgyny when it comes to facial features n body type, so characters that lean masculine or are a bit rougher (?) around the edges in general always give me more trouble. fr tht same reason i also find nanami very difficult to draw gshjd it's probably mainly a lack of practice/familiarity but also something about his hairstyle makes it fucking hellish every time i've attempted it, not to mention he's blond. also his expression bank starting and ending at Stressed doesn't leave me with much leeway cries i can't prettyboy-ify him as easily as i can with yuuji

15. what is your favourite part of your creating process?

i LOVE the process of turning the sketch (indecipherable) into the sketch (clean)!! I think i might have said it before but this part is where i find myself able to hone in on how i want the finished piece to look without the pressure of having to actually make it look good just yet. 2 draw a comparison, it is the lore doc bullet point stage of a drawing where i get to play around n lay everything out in front of me :)

also this is not rly confined to a specific step of my creative process n it can happen at any time, but just in general when th flow state hits and my music is blaring and everything is clicking and working and i'm just genuinely enjoying my hobby ,, not 2 be dramatic but tht makes life worth living to me honestly. it doesn't matter that i'm drawing anime boys making out, being in that state makes me feel like this is what i'm meant to be doing

with the opposition of the abyss and the light realms, i like to think that childe - for a while at least, after their encounter in the eyes of the oratrice - was drawn to fontaine because of neuvilette, and aside from neuvi's potential battle ability, it's why childe was so eager to fight neuvi. childe seems to be more restless than usual in this new fontaine act and seems to be trying to find a way to quell... whatever that is growing in him. though childe may not know of neuvi's true identity, he would act on the sole fact that he wants neuvi for something. cue demands to see the chief justice that poor wriothesley has to hear from. every fuckin' day. the way childe would raise his head in visible interest when he realizes the chief justice is visiting (and bonus if he can tell that neuvi is near because of the abyss-light realm embodiments of either men). and then a lot of visits to the chief justice's office post-prison era uwu

and then he realizes that. neuvilette is not worth fighting. i think i already briefly touched on this in our dms but after repeated encounters of rejection, of provocation, of neuvi helping along a little melusine (which childe comically ended the encounter into a toy advertisement, to not upset the kid), and an actual attempt at stricking an injury on neuvi, the chief justice just. doesn't retaliate. and childe realizes that this man does not have the heart of a warrior. not in a derogatory way! he just realizes that trying to goad neuvi into a fight is like. robbing a defenseless bypasser. and that's not childe's style! so eventually he does calm down. emphasis on eventually, considering whatever's happening in fontaine rn is making childe more feral & less perceptive than usual.

i rly like the thought of neuvi (and this is specific to what we've talked w our neuvichi) making childe's single grain of empathy act up, esp bc neuvi's someone who cries so easily. whereas he'd treat anyone that isn't his family the aloofness and poor attempts at comfort with a joke and filling the awkward air in conversation when theyre visibly upset, i think he'd respect neuvi's emotions and actually finds himself... feeling them, empathizing with them. it'd confuse childe what to do and if he's right in how he comforts neuvi bc negative emotions are so alien to him. but he'd really try! his first attempts of comforting are poor, like making a very awkward joke to lighten the mood. but he gets better over time, like knowing when neuvi needs the silence. or if neuvi needs to talk about it. or if neuvi wants a distraction

(this is meant to be an indented bullet point HSKJDAHD) and if ur into it, maybe childe being sensitive to neuvi's emotions is also part of the abyss-light realm opposition they have? vice versa for neuvi being able to feel childe's emotions somehow too, but for the most part, childe's emotions are so... distant. even the happiness childe puts on feels fake at times, despite him always smiling. BUT YEAH ANYWAYS.

and something more fluff adjacent. childe is not someone meant to sit still, but neuvi is adamant on working during his hours and childe unfortunately has to respect it, or else he'd probably get kicked out of the office (if not by neuvi, then someone else HAJDHASDASD). cue childe's attempts to keep himself busy. from picking up and reading some of the books in his office (and telling neuvi every detail he finds himself fascinated with, despite knowing full well they're neuvi's books), helping neuvi with any paperwork he has to deal with, running little errands for neuvi (and buying neuvi dessert to snack on while working), to something more 'distracting'. like braiding neuvi's hair, instinctively hugging neuvi from behind and asking him what he's doing (and childe actively listening if neuvi does explain the cases neuvi is dealing with), and kisses. maybe make out a little. most annoying ginger cat there is.

my reflection on having a thought diary

hey everyone, i wanted to talk about starting a thought diary, and things that you might want to do if you start one. if you've not heard of this phenomenon, it's basically a journaling exercise that's a little less structured than the daily formats. therapists may suggest it to assess your emotional regulation and keep track of your cognitive distortions, but while i do like it for that, i've found a different purpose for it.

i feel like it's helped a lot so i wanted to share my experience of the past five days using it so far. under the cut, i'm gonna go over why i started it, some of the basic things i started doing, the reasons why i feel like journaling isn't received well with some of the mentally ill, and some suggestions you can take if you want to start one. you can read along or not, but i wanted to make sure i wrote this somewhere more easily accessed (and easier for me to read, lol).

so, why is this important? this sounds lame

i heard about doing this in a random inspirational youtube video, and decided to do it impulsively, lol

but the reason i kept going with it is because i wasn't going to have regular access to therapy for a few days and i wanted to be able to keep track of the thoughts i was having. i have untreated ADHD and severe anxiety (among other things), so this was, as you can imagine, particularly difficult.

another reason i started this: i won't say this next particular phenomenon is strictly because of my BPD, but oftentimes with borderline, a lot of emotionally charged events become sucked into this weird vortex and they become inaccessible when the emotion is over. so for example, i was pretty sad the other night about my phone possibly being lost forever, i ugly cried for maybe 45 minutes to an hour and felt distressed until it turned out the phone was perfectly fine and found, but right now, i feel no connection to that event. i know it happened, and it was sort of embarrassing, but i can't consciously remember what that distress really felt like (or rather, how intense it felt).

so this is why i started the thought diary. i wanted to be able to have physical evidence that i felt the way i did, and the thoughts i was having at that time.

okay great how does it work

so what i do is ... i'll have a small book (it can be a rly cute one or an inexpensive one), and my entries will start with the day i wrote the first one. and then i'll mark a timestamp, and write whatever i'm thinking about. if this sounds difficult that's fine, i didn't realize how useful the timestamps would be at first so i didn't include them until later.

i wanted to stress here that this isn't supposed to be that structured, so you don't have to write in it constantly. if i feel like my thoughts are too much to write, or i don't feel like writing, i just don't. on the flip side, if i feel like i want to share something that feels like too much effort to share with another person, i just write it down. the lack of structure here is the key point because it's why all of my past journaling attempts failed. i felt like i had to have something to share every day, when the whole day is already gone or has barely started and i don't feel like thinking about it. this is why a thought diary helps: i can just share one thought -- or several -- over the course of the day.

maybe this is easier for you, or maybe you like having the structure of the day laid out before you. if that's the case then a thought diary might not be for you, which is fine!

i also like to decorate my thought diary, which is pivotal to having anything that is yours.

and that's totally chill. the lack of structure is what pulls me in, but i know people aren't usually fans of self-reflection or having to sit during a separate time of what i imagine is a pretty hectic day, just to write about what exactly is going on in your head. it was a nightmare when i had to have a bigger page, but i feel like having the smaller pages is helpful for me.

but ... you'd be surprised at how many thoughts one person has within the span of maybe an hour. and that's just the thoughts i decided to write down.

okay yay! i think it's fine if you decide you don't like the idea after trying it, because at least you tried.

but a lot of things i like to keep in mind are:

it doesn't have to be formatted any specific way. the format for me is literally just: day (which is just the one for the day), timestamp, thought. maybe a drawing or two if i feel like it, but that's literally all you need for this.

as for any journal or personal writing thing, put your name on it and decorate it as you wish. stickers can go inside and outside the pages. i want to stress that you should do whatever you want forever with your own stuff. because it's yours!

while i've been very sparse about particularly evocative or personal material, i think i'm going to stop being sparse like that because it ruins the purpose of a journal. feel free to be as crazy as you want in there with your thoughts.
