You don't have to read this, but I've been thinking about ways to escape that situation. I would consider this a test run because we don't know their hunting strategies. Instead of focusing on running away, I would focus on understanding their patterns, as we know they are Mafia workers who search for people, and we don't know what kind of roles they have in their search. I'm considering whether or not to tell Dust about something, but I'm worried that he or my home might be bugged. If I do decide to tell him, I'll write a note explaining my reasons and wait for Horror to watch over us. While I wait, I'll inspect the garden for any weak points in the walls and observe the usual guard shift times. I might also pretend to have trouble sleeping and ask for some sleeping medication. I know Nightmare would attempt to help me, but he can't be available 24/7, and he won't be there every night, and I would ask for some sleep medication. And when it's Horror's turn I will dump the appropriate amount in his food or drink to mask the drugs when adding drugs to food or drink, I would use sugar to mask the taste and spices to cover up the smell. He is the main person hunting us down, and it's frustrating for Killer and Dust because they primarily used him to track us from the beginning. I will use the tough fabric of our curtains to tie knots and cut them to make a makeshift rope. Then, I will hail the nearest taxi, pay in cash, and instruct the driver to take us to the docks. I would take a boat tour to travel to the other side of the lake assuming that we live near one. They usually don't ask for ID, but I would choose a cheaper one just in case. I would be willing to pay extra if they do ask for it. Once I reach the other side, I would go to one of the destinations and start my new life without them.
An admirable attempt, to be sure. And there's a genuine chance you could get some distance away before they find you, which is no small feat. But there are some pitfalls you might have overlooked.
Guard shifts overlap. Nightmare has been in the game long enough to know the common breaks in armour. He's not just keeping you in; he's keeping his enemies out.
The boys might be dumb, but they're not stupid. They're incredibly observant. They would be able to tell that you're watching the guards.
Nightmare will be able to smell mounting anxiety about an escape attempt.
Where would you get the cash for the taxi? Additionally, you are really throwing the dice by getting a cab from outside Nightmare's home. Good luck finding a driver that isn't on Nightmare's payroll. In fact, good luck finding anywhere in the city where there isn't anyone loyal to Nightmare. There's a reason Dust was so agitated by Nightmare liking you... there's a reason he told you you can't leave.
You're gonna need a lot of fucking sleep meds to knock Horror out for any significant amount of time.
Horror is the fastest at finding you, sure. But if he's out of action, Nightmare will happily take his place on the hunt. And that isn't a good thing for you.
Also... perhaps the biggest issue.
You know food is sacred to Horror right? Incredibly sacred. To him, it's synonymous with love, with care, with connection. Food sharing in the Underground was how you told someone you valued their life. And accepting food was how you expressed the ultimate vulnerability. Horror doesn't accept food from just anyone.
Not only did you tamper with his food, you offered it to him under false pretences. You took advantage of the fact that he cared for you enough to eat/drink whatever you offer. I hope you realise you've absolutely shattered his trust.
He will never believe you, or let his guard down around you, ever again.
You monster.

hello, I'm 16 years old, and I love weed.
I am also decently good at picture editing. furthermore, I detest only having street weed available to me. so when my friend showed me an app that delivered weed, for cheaper than street weed, with higher quality than street weed, I was very happy. I asked her if we needed IDs and she said her sister said no, go to the website, you need an ID. I'm very tenacious person, I went to a break room to get water but they were out of plastic cups so instead of giving up I filled up a plastic bag with the water and drank it like a cat. so what I did is I took my debit card, a blank piece of paper, and a cut up plastic bag, and I did a little photo shoot with him on my table. The card was to capture the dimensions of an ID card, the film was to capture light in a way that an ID card might capture light, and the blank piece of paper was to have under the plastic so it could be more easily applicable as a light map than my table. so, I spend the next hour, mind you the started at 2:00 am, editing an ID onto the table. this wasn't even the ID I wanted to use for the website, this was just a mock-up using one I found on Google images. And what do you know, I got it really fucking convincing. so convincing that when I showed my friend, his response wasn't "look at that obviously digital ID," his response was "look at that obviously fake ID," which was something that could be remedied. for I had scaled the mountain and I had created something from nothing, I had used my birthright of Creation to fucking make a picture of an ID on my table, that looks like it actually existed. It had depth, had lighting, it had pixel by pixel editing. so I go and edit the image of the fake ID and put my face on there and a fake name of my choosing with dates that don't look too suspicious. And then I evolved my creation to be me. I, now a 22-year-old, was sitting on my table. My name was Aron Parker Russo, I was born 2 days after my birthday but 6 years before it. I had created a reality in which I was unquestionably able to buy good marijuana. so I take my creation to the site, and I upload the picture for whichever benevolent employee spends their days mulling over IDs not really giving a shit and just glancing at them to review them. And then, to my utmost horror, it was an AI that scanned the ID. I still tried, I tried to got it through, but it was no use, because the reality I had created was not a reality in which Aaron Parker Russo was known by the government. This is my 13th reason, and I think it could be a banger ass Tumblr post.
I'll be honest, I didn't read this it was way too long, but im glad things worked out for you.

GED Tips (based on my experiences): If you have to do the test online, try to do it in a state without residency requirements (unless you live in a state where the GED test is free/cheap). You don't have to be in the state. I even used an out of state ID and it worked (don't recommend it though).
On that note, try to choose a state that has a cheaper GED price. And one without a civics test preferably. You can pay for the tests with a visa gift card (for those of you who want to hide getting the GED from parents. Also check to make sure they won't mail you the GED).
You only need to get a score of 45% out of 100. Around half the questions.
If you don't know the answer and it's a multiple choice question: GUESS. It's better to answer all the questions, because you may accidentally choose the right answer.
In my opinion, the best way to study for the tests-without paying money-is youtube videos (you can find links to some good channels on reddit) and the union test prep GED study guide.
Look on reddit for guides to find out what skills to focus on. In my experience, reading comprehension, grammar, being able to tell the difference between an opinion and fact, being able to notice bias, and being able to read graphs well was helpful. The GED test times change constantly. Check and check again. If an ideal time pops up (especially one only a few minutes/an hour away)-take it! Immediately! Otherwise it'll go away and you'll have to wait.
GED TIPS!!! This is solid advice.
Thank you so much for sharing with the whole class, babycakes!

nice paper!!! have you ordered any other cool stationery recently, or is there anything that's catching your eye? i have a whiteboard book, notebooks, and paper coming in soon!
yay paper! i did just recently get a new natsumehandmade book cover for my sketchbook (midori a6) to match the one i already had for my journal (stalogy365 a6) and im super happy with it!!
these are my favourite book covers as they're cheaper and roomier than hobonichi book covers while being just as pretty! they also have a TON of pattern options on every shop listing!! if i was the type id buy like a bunch more, but having any that sit around empty waiting for a turn or just hold an old book to go on a shelf feels too sad to me. these things are precious and gotta see use! it took me so long to choose which pattern i wanted both times cus of that XD
the stickers on my journal cover are all from i_spy_cy ^u^
#I CANT IMAGINE the hobonichi girlies that get a new cover for every year and shelf the old cover#that thing still has life in it! its reusable!#anyways the new one seems a bit smaller than the older one i got but even that one has more room than a hobo cover. itll fit future bulk#i have a big (non) problem where i want to bring my sketchbook and journal and pens all with me everywhere#and my active pen collection is currently TWO pen cases big with a 3rd for my unfilled ones and less used tools#so im taking 2 books and 2 pencil cases everywhere#teehee#stationery

VPNs aren't just for pirates and company data anymore
A friend complained to me that they couldn't access pr0n anymore because the government is now requiring ID to verify age where they are, and due to data leaks and privacy issues, didn't want to share their ID even though they're of legal age.
Shit like this doesn't work on the intended target. It only frustrates people who are aren't tech savvy while a lot of kids have already found their way around it because that's what kids do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When I talk about VPNs (virtual private networks), non-tech savvy people's eyes glaze over 😂
It sounds like complicated, unknowable magic. It's not! And you don't even have to understand it to use it!
With the government and ISPs (internet service providers) invading privacy more and more and hackers breaking in and stealing user data from companies, VPNs are becoming necessary.
Some Things a VPN Does for You:
hides your data from others
can make your internet speeds faster if your ISP does speed throttling (purposely making your speed slower)
hides what you're doing from your ISP
keeps you safer from some malware, viruses, hackers, and trackers
allows you to access things that are either restricted in your area or not available in your area (such as content in other countries)
keeps you safer when you're out in public connected to wifi
Below is a basic infographic on how VPNs work. When you access the internet, a VPN encrypts your data - making it into a secret code that can't be read by anyone else including your ISP.
Tech companies, ISPs, etc. want you to think VPNs are complicated so that you won't use them.
When searching for a free VPN, please be aware that a lot of the free VPN services out there are malware or full of viruses and trackers.
Either do some research into which one to choose or use a paid VPN service. You can either pay monthly or yearly - the yearly is always cheaper in the long run.
Some of the Top Rated VPN Services:
ExpressVPN $7 - $13/month
NordVPN $3 - $13/month
Surfshark $2 - $14/month
PrivateInternetAccess $2 - $12/month
ProtonVPN (some sites block this one) $4 - $10/month
CyberGhost $2 - $13/month
I use ExpressVPN, so for the purposes of this post, I'm going to use screenshots from ExpressVPN.
Once you have an account, download the program from the website to your desktop/laptop or find the app on Android or iOS app stores.
Signing in requires a code that the VPN will email to you that unlocks all the features. Pay attention when the program installs because it'll ask you about preferences, and you can easily check yes on blocking pr0n when that's the reason you wanted a VPN in the first place 😂
When the program is open, you'll see this:
As you can see in the screenshot, not only do I have the program, but I have an ExpressVPN icon on my browser. The program installs this automatically, and when the program is running, the icon will have a green checkmark on it so you know it's working in your browser.
You'll notice I've recently connected using Japan. I did this so I could watch a series that isn't available outside of Japan.
The program automatically chooses a location near you, but if you want to access things that are restricted to you, make sure you click on the three dots to the right of the selected location (see screenshot below) and search for a state/country/place that your content will be available in.
Once your location is selected, click on the start/power button, and you'll get a popup notification from your computer that ExpressVPN is connected.
Go to the site you want to use and use it like you normally would.
Here's what it should look like when it's running correctly:
Keep in mind that if you leave a VPN running all the time (which is perfectly fine to do), search engines like Google will assume you live wherever ExpressVPN tells it you live, so searching for "stores near me" will give you results that aren't close to you.
When you're done using the VPN, just hit the power button again and it shuts off.
I use this on all my handheld devices, my desktop, and my laptop for business and personal reasons. I'm a pirate, and I've been using VPNs for a long time, yet none of the ISPs I've used have ever given me a warning about torrenting.
Good luck, and enjoy all the new things you can access!
BTW for anybody wondering, my desktop wallpaper is a map of the world's time zones. So pretty!! 😍

Do you have any advice on transitioning chickens from outdoor life to being house chickens? I recently lost my whole flock to foxes but one silkie, and she’s too scared to go outside again. She’s already a cuddle bug and loves lounging on soft things and being warm, she’s just pretty cautious about any kind of nappy. She’s still recovering from the attack so I wouldn’t be starting anything with her just yet, but any advice would be helpful
Picture of the most beautiful girl for tax
It should be pretty easy, i suggest getting a night time cage for her/ a cage for her to stay in where she can recover. I suggest something like the Deluxe Wabitat. (buy it from the cheapest place you can its fine)
https://www.chewy.com/midwest-wabbitat-deluxe-rabbit-home/dp/183474
My leghorns can fit in there pretty comfortably so it should be plenty on room for a silkie. You will want to remove the ramp though to give her more space. You could also use a large dog crate, prefab coop, or ferret cage instead but i like the high sides of the Wabitat and its easy to clean, move, add perches, ect. You can also buy extensions for it which is nice. While she adjusts i suggest covering the sides and back of the cage so she feels safer. You can easily open the front of the cage and let her come and go supervised (so you can clean up after her) as you transition her to diaper wearing after she heals. Speaking of diapers- AVOID pamperyourpoultry diapers. I own a lot of these diapers in all sizes and id say they are a very poor choice for new house chicken owners and birds not used to being diapered. They have a lot of belly fabric which can put pressure on the crop and its easier for them to get their legs caught. They dont automatically have a waterproof liner and are not adjustable either not to mention the sizing is inconsistent.
My diaper recs are these Your silkie would be a small or an adjusted down medium with this seller. Very affordable and high quality.
This maker SPECIALIZES in seramas and silkies. You just need to tell them you have a silkie. These are great for training and are VERY comfortable for the bird due to having NO belly fabric.
Also the feed you choose will greatly impact the texture of your birds poop, the cheaper and lower quality the more wet and stinky it will be. Keep this in mind! The best feed for house birds is textured feed like Henhouse reserve in my opinion but plenty of house chickens are on normal crumble or pellets.

Mary used to smoke. When Dean was young, she’d dip out to the porch while a casserole was in the oven, and try to cover up the smell with perfume even cheaper than the cigs. But in a cruel switch of fate, the smoke didn’t kill her. The fire did.
When Dean was thirteen, he got himself a pack by telling the corner store clerk they were for his dad. He doesn’t know if they believed him or just didn’t care, but he lit one up and just about hacked up a lung upon first inhale. He kept them tucked in the bottom of his duffle.
His daddy might a taught him to drink, but this was just for him.
It took him until he was sixteen to find the brand his mama smoked, replicate that nostalgia-wrapped scent. By then, he had a plethora of fake ID’s to choose from. Looking back, his chest aches at how young he looked. The baby fat still clung to his cheeks, then. He must’ve looked ridiculous sucking on a cig like that.
He kept it to himself. This was his. He’d drink with John ‘till the old man passed out on the motel couch, and then he’d stand outside to smoke. One night, nineteen years old, he came back in, and John was awake again. And Dean must’ve stunk somethin’ awful, ‘cause John slurred out Mary, you know I hate it when you smell like that shit.
He slept in the car that night and shoved the pack in a rolled-up t-shirt.
Dean wasn’t a smoker, per se. Least, he wouldn’t call himself that. He didn’t smoke ‘cause he was addicted. It just reminded him of her. How she’d smell when she picked him up to carry him to bed, and he’d bury his little face into her shirt, and inhale the scent of tobacco as he drifted back off to sleep.
It’s just a small comfort. Harmless. Sometimes he gets a little tingle in his throat and he’ll swear off ‘em for a month or so ‘till it goes away. Then a hunt’ll go bad, or John will leave, and he’ll be so fucking alone that he just needs a smoke. Take the edge off. Make him feel like he’s wrapped up in his mama’s arms again, safe and loved.
#product of thinking abt my own substance use too hard#and dean smoking#because he wouldve. he wouldve 100% been a smoker#and i think its interesting to examine the root of that#i dont think he would think he has substance abuse problems#anyways. anyways. take this#dean#my writing#spn fic#ezra posts

I've talked before about how, while there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, there is standout UNethical consumption that should be avoided so here are some tips I use as someone with a general vendetta against Amazon:
use the shopping tab on google instead of going straight to amazon when you want to buy something.
[image ID: an image of a google search for "cool lamps". The cursor is hovering over the second tab to the right under the search bar, which is labeled "shopping".]
this will allow you to look through a variety of sellers that sell the item you're looking for. You can also sort by seller, price, condition, and other factors using this feature.
look everywhere else first. I pretty much only click on Amazon when I've exhausted all of the other options on the shopping tab.
The Better Business Bureau is your friend. Some non-Amazon websites can be sketchy as hell. If the business is based in the U.S., Mexico, or Canada, the BBB is basically the mother of all review sites. If you suspect a company is suppressing negative reviews, or if they don't post them at all, check with the BBB to see if the business has a page and if people have complained.
You can also look up "is [website] a scam". This is a bit jankier and less official but it does work. Usually if a website is conning people out of their money someone has posted to somewhere complaining about it.
Choose smaller sellers if applicable.
[image ID: an image of a white origami-style ceiling light made to look like a lapu lapu or grouper fish. the seller is VasiliLights on Etsy, and the price is $243.18 and shipping is $34.29].
Obviously if you're looking for a specific item it's probably only sold on a certain store's website, but if you're looking for unique pieces, it's actually fairly fulfilling to buy from a smaller seller. When you buy from places like Ebay and Etsy, or from smaller websites owned by the seller, you're handing most of that money over to a real person like you who will go and spend it on things they want and need. Sellers are also genuinely happy and grateful when something sells, my mom has been a seller on Ebay for years and she still gets excited when she makes a sale.
If an Etsy seller has a personal website, buy from there instead. This is more of an anti-corporation tip than a specific anti-Amazon tip.
[Image ID: a screenshot of the Etsy shop page for neurodelightful that also displays the address for their website, neurodelightful.com].
Sites like Etsy still take big fees from their sellers which can make business more challenging and result in sellers not being paid properly for their work. Personal sites help reduce this so sellers will often promote them on their shop page. If you like your money to go into the hands of real people and not corporations, buy from their personal website instead.
Take notice when artists advertise their shops here on Tumblr. It can be easy to school by someone asking for money but a lot of people on here sell genuinely amazing art. @/cypric-rat-hyperfixation, @/dappermouth, @/pangur-and-grim, @/pidgie-core, @/ultrainfinitepit, and @/pikaole are just a few people I can think of who sell their art and it's usually cheaper than buying the same mass produced painting that everyone has in their house.
Switch out your Amazon wishlist for a Throne wishlist. One of my biggest pet peeves about leaving amazon was no longer having a wishlist to display on social media that people could actually buy from. Throne filled that role for me. Copy a link for the item you want, click "add gift", paste the link, adjust the price if needed, and bam, now anyone can but it for you. You can even set up crowdfunding for items costing over $10. It's also sex worker friendly and allows you to have NSFW items on your list if you choose!
Finally, understand that there are just some things you won't be able to find elsewhere. Don't beat yourself up for buying a non-essential item from Amazon once in a blue moon. Amazon is a massive overarching corporation that can be extremely hard to avoid especially if you need to shop for things at cheaper prices. The overall goal is to reduce the money given to them and increase the money given to other sellers to send a message that our favor with Amazon is waning and they need to change things to win it back.

Is it just me that thinks there's something fishy as hell with e-cigarette bans ?
I've never smoked or vaped in my life, but every time I hear about a new vaping ban it's always the same thing, "vaping is harmful" and "kids are using it as a gateway drug to real cigarettes". And considering the studies linked always list deaths in the hundreds, compared to millions of deaths from tobacco every year, it just seems like flimsy evidence to me.
Seems like the best thing to do would be to ban tobacco then, but unlike vaping bans where half the world has already completely banned them, the strictest smoking laws I've seen only restrict smoking indoors and outside some public spaces. As far as I know, no country has completely banned cigarettes.
Idk, it just feels like we're seeing corruption happen right in front of our eyes.
We're always seeing corruption happen right in front of our eyes, just might not be identifying it when we do.
E-Cigarette thing is a weird one though, popped up a thing from the UK yesterday handing them out resulted in a 50% increase in people successfully quitting smoking,
Giving out free vapes in A&E helped to double the number of people that quit smoking cigarettes, a trial has found.
Even more my bad, nearly 24% that got the vape starter pack and referral to quitting service did so.
Then there's China that has a state monopoly on cigarettes so they encourage people to smoke, but not directly.
For states and such it'll be a hit on the tax revenue that it will take a while to see reverse, but it eventually will start saving the place money in lower hospital and healthcare so encouraging not smoking is the long run winner, people don't think that way lately for some reason.
The bans on them are weird, yes zoomers were on their way to beating the addiction to nicotine until they made it taste like mango.
All that said the only significant number of deaths or injuries I've seen coming from vapes is from people that get the bootleg juice for them that some dude over on the corner makes and sells cheaper than that stuff you get at the shop and he doesn't check ID's either.
And that's already illegal.
As far as I know, no country has completely banned cigarettes.
New Zealand Scraps World's First Generational Smoking Ban
Dang it they were going to be my GO-TO for this, anyone born this century was too young to buy cigarettes was the law, not shocked it got scrapped even in not the US there's still people that believe in the freedom to live your life as you choose and enough of them to get in the way of a law like that.
Big tobacco in the US has managed to diversify enough that they don't need to fight vaping, since they're making money off of it, vape thing if there's a conspiracy it's probably people that just have no clue and think the posts they see on facebook about a kid who's lungs looked to be full of silicone from vaping either actually happened or is the normal result of vaping or both.
As far as things that shouldn't be banned go, vape stuff is pretty high up there and the benefits outweigh the risks a whole lot in the long run.
At least provide they don't find out in 25 years that it alters your DNA and will cause a 2nd head to grow out of your shoulder and now we've got a whole lot of new contestants for the Zaphod Beeblebrox lookalike competition.
Which would be weird.

Hey what if I did, like, a lets play of On Air Island but! an interactive one where we collectively choose the next option (via a poll) would anyone play with me
Um yeah to expound on that thought
What's On Air Island?
On Air Island is a game I'm currently brainrotting about.
The genre is stated as horror/thriller but even if you're not a fan of these genres id say still check it out because im not a fan either and Yet
This is perhaps because the game has a strong mystery element and encourages multiple replays/going back to try out different options (theres a really comfortable to use mechanic for that too!) so theres this drive to uncover more of the story. Which is why I'm still playing despite having finished all 40 endings already (yes, thats forty endings)
Quick plot blurb: the plot follows the cast and crew of a survival show called 'Never Stop Watching!' set up on a remote island. The show's unique setting is that every cast member streams their experience, and the winner is determined by the number of donations they receive on their stream. However, the island is not as simple as it appears, and soon enough the rankings will be the least of the cast's problems! (Que horror/thriller elements)
Why interactive Let's Play?
The thing I found the most refreshing about OAI is that you, the player, do not play as the protagonist, but rather as one of the viewers on the protagonist's stream. When the absence of 'i would not fucking say/do that' experience hits lol. Because of such setting, aside from the main cast, the presence of Observers - the fellow viewers - is strongly felt throughout the story as well. EzraHanse girlies in the chat you will always be famous. And... sometimes other Observers have completely different ideas about what's good for blorbo from your streams!
Then, since I run a poll aggregator blog and see like hundreds of polls a day, the vision of in-game choices and tumblr polls overlapped in my brain...
...and I thought, hey, wouldn't it be extremely atmospheric and true to in-game experience to have a bunch of people chipping in to determine the advice and tasks the protagonist receives from his viewers? Thus, the idea of doing an interactive lets play was born.
What are the pros of participating in the Let's Play, instead of just playing the game?
Well, first of all, this is absolutely my dastardly plan to make y'all play the game, make no mistake!
That said, if you aren't sure you are interested in playing it, you can experience the story in bite-sized chunks (i just vidded the prologue up to the first choice, and its less than 2 minutes!) on a semi-daily basis, with a little dopamine hit of clickin' the button at the end <3
Another thing is that making 'a donation' - ie, a choice in game - requires in-game currency. There are various ways to farm currency and there are almost always cheaper choices available, however! Since I already played and replayed multiple times, I have many choices unlocked, and it'll be easy for me to farm for the remaining ones. Especially now that I got all the endings and the desire to find the best one no longer plagues me so. So - you can experience the game while avoiding the grind!
And, ofc, as I've mentioned before, having many viewers/Observers would be very true to the atmosphere of the game. Ideally, I would hope for some discussion in the comments too, to parallel the in-game chat! This is also why I hope people who already played the game will participate too 👉👈 The more Observers we have the better, right? ;3
What if I don't vibe with watching videos / miss something / etc?
I'm planning to have a transcript available for each video, and something like a story-so-far post that you can check out to get up to date at any point. I also figure I'll be adjusting the format along the way, if we can get this party started at all, so feel free to suggest improvements to me at any time!

As a young white woman living in NYC,
going to one of the most progressive schools in the country,
I had a lot of learning to do—
I still do. .
I scoffed at “disarm NYPD” flyers on the university walls
and thought “one human race,”
“all lives matter,”
and color blindness
were Very Unique Insights.
I thought I was a vision of leftism,
a queer autist, a feminist artist—
Ha!
My white woman feminism was but a bastardization
of the causes I thought I championed.
I’ve learned a lot since then, so now let me school you:
I’ve never been a stranger to poverty—
we grew up side by side
in the same 4 apartments in 4 years,
the same rooms, powerless,
in the November cold,
but walking through Grand Central
seeing women huddling with
their cats and no shoes
or on my way to class witnessing
a man shit on the subway railing—
the lack of dignity I had felt growing up I
in my rich town
as a poor kid
was personified in front of me.
From the day we are born,
we are conditioned to believe several things about the homeless.
“Most of them have families to go back to,
they just choose not to!”
“They’re addicts!"
“They’re lazy!”
I don’t care.
I don’t care who you are.
No one chooses that life
and I don’t care if you can’t or choose not to work
or if you’re an addict
or if you feel that the streets
are a better place than the home you left for them.
No one would choose to live like this.
Laziness or addiction doesn’t make anyone
deserving of freezing to death in puddles of piss
on the city streets
when there are 27 vacant homes in this nation
for every houseless person
suffering, day by day, in desperation.
How do you expect an addict
to get clean when they’re fighting
a constant war to survive?
No, Debra, even every cent saved
of the change they make
during gruelingly humiliating
panhandling shifts
from which they have
nowhere to return
to hang their ratty hats of
emotional exhaustion,
will never equal housing.
“They should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps!”
Do you suppose those living on the street
have access to their identity?
The last time you sat through a job interview,
do you remember the necessity to present yourself,
to know who you are and what you can do?
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
Do you remember the necessity to present an ID,
a birth certificate,
a social security card?
Are you aware of how difficult it is
to get any which one
without the others?
Would you hire someone
who hasn’t showered
or washed their clothes in days?
It is cheaper to house the homeless
than it is to continue to let poverty thrive.
It’s healthier for the economy
when more people spend more money
instead of 1% of the population
hoarding 80% of the national wealth—
a dragon guarding her egg,
not to hatch, but to sit
and putrefy.
So if you don’t care about the people,
care about the economy.
The solutions are the same,
but The Government, LLC
would rather perpetuate the cycle
by pretending to build safety nets with our tax dollars
and continuing to convince us that poverty is a moral
rather than a systemic failure—
and they are partly correct.
It is a moral failure of those systemic engineers.
The system isn’t broken or failing;
it’s operating exactly as it was designed to,
so that no one gets any bright ideas
or realizes that hard work doesn’t pay
or that We The People deserve more.
The average citizen is much closer
to the edge of financial ruin
than they are to economic excess.
Still, we shower hostility and humiliation
upon our most vulnerable
while screaming “save the children!”
to restrict the autonomy of women
and force more children
to be born into more poverty.
Of no concern
are the 3 million living children
who don’t know where their next meal will come from
or if the power will be on when they get home,
if they are so lucky to have one.
We punish parents for the great sin of being poor,
either ignoring or indifferent to the trauma that burdens children
and leaves families in ruin,
just to throw money at others to take them in.
“The goal is reunification,”
is a plagiarized pretense,
a counterfeit charade
made up to perpetuate the placing
of the blame on the parents.
The abundance of this era
is disguised as a catastrophe,
an engineered scarcity.
It’s not out of the ordinary
for brokers to masquerade and misrepresent
the prosperity of this country,
to preach poverty as a personal flaw,
too expensive,
or simply Not Important.
The poverty crisis is a tangible social construction.
We’ve obliterated millions of acres of nature
for houses to sit empty
because our people can’t afford to pay to live in them.
We trash 66 billion tons of food unsold annually,
covered in coffee grounds and cat litter so
no hungry belly can stumble across such a treasure,
instead of committing the treason of donation.
Laziness is the brainchild of
The US Propaganda Machine—
and an efficient machine it is—
created to cause vitriol toward the poor
so we can alienate ourselves from them
and pretend that we aren’t one paycheck
away from being homeless.
If the pandemic has taught us anything
it’s that people do want to work—
before the two weeks to flatten the curve
reached its end,
isolation and lack of productivity
stoked the flames of mental illness.
People want to work.
People want to do work that they’re passionate about
and people want to make a difference with that work
and to be appreciated for that work.
People want fair compensation for their labor
and I don’t think that’s wrong.
The benefits of living in a society
have disappeared as American Hustle Culture
has taught our people that
they should be working 80 hours a week to survive,
that they’re Entitled or Greedy or Lazy
for wanting to have any semblance of a work-life balance
while working jobs they hate
in environments they hate
with pay rates that barely cover the gas to get there.
Working is no longer rewarding;
there is no incentive to produce for a society
in which you’re no longer working to live,
but living to work,
because that’s no existence at all.
We have AI creating art while
our labor is manual
and our people starve in the streets.
Isn’t this supposed to be the other way around?
I can see it now: queer space age socialism,
where AI takes care of functioning society
so that we can create, experience, philosophize, and find meaning.
Our politicians are businessmen.
The duty of a businessman
is to help a company profit.
The duty of a politician is
to help their people thrive.
Their skills are not interchangeable.
All lives matter
except, of course,
for those of the Black,
queer,
trans,
or broke,
those of women or immigrants or muslims—
identities overwhelmingly victimized by the Cycle of
Poverty,
beaten down by centuries of
Generational Trauma,
but still braving and working
through the storm to make things better for those after them
instead of believing that because they suffered,
so too should everyone else.
They walk backwards along the path
to light candles for those following
when they were made to guide themselves.
We coddle capitalism
like boomers think we were coddled
to turn out so entitled as to expect
to be able to afford a house
with our pay.
The document
in which We—
a nation of immigrants
that houses more vitriol for immigrants
than we house our own people—
declared a stolen land ours
states that we all have the right to Life,
Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness—
but we fail to realize
that these and basic necessities
are inherently intertwined.
My political stance, concisely,
is that I care about people,
and if you find that a problem,
disrespectfully,
you are not a patriot—
and no, I won’t respect your opinion
if it degrades, oppresses, or perpetuates violence
against those simply trying to live their lives,
and live them well.
The only intolerance I will tolerate
is the intolerance of intolerance.
In this era of abundance,
in the “Greatest Country on Earth,”
human rights are not up for debate.
There is no excuse.
There is no excuse.

lifejackets
I have not seen any posts here about this yet. I do feel like this might just be a "me" thing, but one thing I often do is put on my lifejacket very snuggly and then do things at home. Things that don't necessitate flotation, like cleaning the dishes, working from home and even taking naps. Obviously, I don't do it for the sake of not drowning, but I do it to satisfy some intense sensory needs. I find that wearing a snug, tight and bulky life jacket provides compression and overall just feels like a hug that could save my life. It is much cheaper than a weighted vest, and it has the added bonus that it makes me feel very safe. Obviously, I still prefer wearing it in the water. I am a good swimmer, swam competitively for 6 years, but whenever I get the chance, I still choose to swim with a life jacket on. I have had one seizure too, and sometimes when I'm overestimated it is very hard to swim, so the life jacket adds a layer of protection that lowers my anxiety. Unfortunately , I still feel very embarrassed about wearing a life jacket in public... even if I'm at the pool, im always the only adult wearing one. I often end up taking it off...I do not know exactly why I love life jackets so much. I think it is related to my autism, but I am not sure. It has been this way since i was a child. Id sneak in to the boat house just to put on my little life jacket in secret. Has anyone else had similar experiences or something? Just looking to see if I am alone I'm this

Benefits of Paid Education in Croatia
Unilife Abroad Career Solutions
Benefits of Paid Education in Croatia
Safety
When it comes to public safety, Croatia is an example to be followed. In 2020, the US State Department ranked Croatia at the highest safety category, thanks to economic and political stability factors. The Croatian population can walk freely around their cities, enjoying the country without any significant safety concerns.
Affordable living
If you’re worried Croatia will be as expensive as other popular European destinations, you can rest easy. Croatia is cheaper than most countries in the European Union , and a single person can get by with just under US$800 per month. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment can be as low as $350, and general expenses such as electricity, water, and internet will amount to approximately $210. Keep in mind cooking your own food is cheaper than eating at restaurants and you’ll be able to enjoy a comfortable life in Croatia.
Job opportunities
Croatia has a great job market for locals and foreigners alike. Unemployment rates are low, and more than 50.000 foreigners find work in Croatia every year. Because of the high demand for workers in different sectors, the government allows international students to work in the country during their stay.
Multicultural environment
Croatia’s location makes access to the rest of Europe extremely easy. This easy connection to other countries makes Croatia a multicultural country, with visitors from different parts of the world who get to enjoy the country’s welcoming environment. Locals are friendly and patient with foreigners and will love to help you learn the local language during your stay.
Quality of life
There are many reasons why the quality of life in Croatia is so high. The country’s investment in high-quality education and public safety, plus its stable economy and affordable costs make Croatia one of the best countries in Europe to live in. In the larger cities, the population’s satisfaction is even higher, and international students can enjoy all the benefits of a Croatian lifestyle when they choose this beautiful country as their destination.
World-class research
Croatia is known for its history-making inventors including Nikola Tesla, Franjo Hanaman, and Slavoljub Penkala. The country invests heavily in innovation and research, which benefits entrepreneurs and academics alike. Students in engineering and technology-related fields, especially, will find in Croatia an ideal spot to develop new ideas among some of the brightest minds in the world.
Unilife abroad career solutions

Your Own Peril
:: By Daymond Duck Published on: July 29, 2023
Again and again, Jesus told His people to watch for the signs of His coming, but there is silence in many pulpits. Most of those in the pews are not watching, and if someone tries to alert them to what is going on, there is a big chance that they will remind us that Jesus said, “Of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father in heaven” (Matt. 24:36).
While I do not believe that anyone knows the day and hour, I sometimes wonder if that is the only thing they know about the subject.
When it comes to Matt. 24:36, there is good reason that Jesus was saying no one knows the day or hour that Heaven and earth will pass away (Matt. 24:35), not no one knows the day or the hour of His Second Coming.
Concerning those that choose not to watch, it is important to remember that Jesus (He gave the Book of Revelation) said, “If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee” (Rev. 3:3).
On July 16, 2023, the Assistant Editor of The Christian Post, Leah Klett, interviewed well-known pastor, author, TV preacher, and Bible prophecy expert David Jeremiah.
Pastor Jeremiah urged Christians to be ready for Jesus to come for His Church (the Rapture).
He talked about some of the things that Jesus told Christians to watch for, and He warned that those that are ignoring the reality of current events (signs) are doing so at their own peril.
I cannot put words in Pastor Jeremiah’s mouth, but it sounds to me like he was telling Christians that there could be consequences to disobeying Jesus.
Some of the consequences might be loved ones left behind, no crown of righteousness (II Tim. 4:8), fewer rewards in Heaven, embarrassment when one stands before the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Cor. 5:10), etc.
It is sad that so many pastors and church members are ignoring 25-40% of the Bible, and those that are doing it are doing it at their own peril.
Here are some recent signs that we could be getting close to the Rapture:
One, concerning the ashes of a red heifer without spot or blemish (a requirement for cleansing priests who build or serve at a rebuilt Temple): last week, I mentioned that the Jews are building a tourist and research center at Shiloh (where the tabernacle stood for about 300 years after they returned to the Promised Land from Egypt).
I mentioned that on July 16, 2023, it was reported that the Jews had moved a 22-month-old red heifer to the facility and that they would soon move two more there so visitors can view (but not touch) them.
Since then, I have seen another article that said those three red heifers are pure and without blemish.
If just one of them remains unblemished until early next year, it can be sacrificed, and priests can be cleansed to build and serve at the next Temple.
Two, concerning a cashless society and the tracking of all buying and selling: on July 20, 2023, the U.S. Federal Reserve activated its FedNow service.
The service began with about 35 banks and credit unions, and more are expected to sign up with each passing day.
As I understand it, FedNow is a system that converts cash into a digital currency that can be instantly transferred electronically.
According to my understanding, at this point in time, it is a voluntary system with a few nice features (fast, convenient, will not need germ-laden cash, cheaper than printing money, good for the economy, etc.) that will be promoted to get people to sign up.
Those that are wondering if they should sign up for all these goodies should know that critics say FedNow is a first step to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
The next step will be to require bank customers to have a digital ID (with face scan, hand scan, or whatever), then FedNow will be replaced by a CBDC, then the government will know what any individual is buying and selling, be able to control how much they spend, control what they buy and sell, shut down or seize their bank account, etc. (This will be a major step toward the Mark of the Beast, but it is not the Mark of the Beast.)
While FedNow is coming on the scene and getting banks and people to sign up, bank customers will have two options: cash or digital money.
But after enough people get a digital ID, digital money will be the only option, and customers will have no choice.
Next, CBDCs will be merged into a global platform or a global currency.
Finally, people will be required to take the name, number (666), or Mark of the Antichrist if they want to buy and sell.
Simply put, the ball has started rolling downhill toward the Mark of the Beast.
The Rapture will happen a minimum of three and one-half years before society gets there.
People that ignore this are doing so at their own peril.
Have you got that:
Step one, FedNow is up and running.
Step two, a digital ID (with face scan, eye scan, or whatever).
Step three, replace FedNow with CBDC.
Step four, merge CBDCs of individual nations into a global system.
Step five, require people to take the name, number, or Mark of their government (the chosen leader of the New World Order).
(Note: I am not an expert, but I get a lot of e-mails asking, “When, etc.,” and this is my understanding. But remember that the fulfillment of Bible prophecy will get faster and faster at the end of the age, and these steps could happen very fast.)
(More: Understand that we are transitioning from more than 190 sovereign nations to a one-world government. The transition went into effect with the Sustainable Development Goals on Jan. 1, 2016. The original goal was a 14-year transition—2016 to 2030—but there will be a meeting on Sept. 18-19 to try to speed it up. The five steps above are steps in that transition. Globalists thought it would be next to impossible to go from more than 190 nations to a one-world government in one day. They decided to do it in steps, and we are now more than halfway through the transition. They were also afraid that people would be more likely to riot if they tried to transition too fast. They want to ease into it as much as possible.)
(My opinion: Even if the UN agrees on Sept. 18-19 to speed up the transition to a world government, it will still be a while before the Antichrist confirms it and rises to power. Why? Because Ten Kings must appear before the Antichrist appears.)
Three, concerning signs in the sun and moon (Acts 2:20), it is not clear what those signs are, but on July 20, 2023, it was reported that the earth has been struck by unusually powerful eruptions on the sun over the last two months.
The sun goes through cycles, and scientists were expecting an increase in solar activity in 2025 but not in 2023.
The question is will the eruptions worsen between now and 2025?
Just know that the Bible says there will be signs, the eruptions are unusually strong, they are early, and they are probably impacting Earth’s climate more than cows passing gas.
(More: Golf ball to tennis ball-size hail broke through the roof of a Walmart store in Rice Lake, Wis., striking customers and scattering hailstones on the floor.)
(More: On July 21, 2023, it was reported that more than 95 million Americans were under heat watches and warnings from Florida to California. Many records were broken, and the temperature in Phoenix, Ariz., reached 110 degrees Fahrenheit or more for 21 days in a row.)
(More: On July 24, 2023, the water temperature at a buoy in Manatee Bay, Florida, was 101.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Several surrounding buoys verified this record-setting number by reporting temperatures above 99 degrees.)
(Question: With record-setting temperatures in the ocean at the same time that there are powerful eruptions on the sun, why do some politicians and so-called scientists blame climate change on the cows and farmers using too much fertilizer? Are they mentally challenged, pushing an evil globalist plan, or what?)
Four, concerning famine at the end of the age: on July 20-21, 2023, with millions of people near starvation in Africa, Russian missiles destroyed grain storage facilities and 60,000 tons of grain on Ukraine’s Black Sea Coast.
Five, concerning the turmoil in Israel since Jan. 2023 over the Reasonableness Standards Bill that will allow the elected officials in Israel’s Knesset to overrule controversial decisions by unelected liberal judges and possibly change Israel’s future from that of a secular nation to that of a religious nation: as of July 24, 2023, key parts of the bill have passed votes in the Knesset three times, and the bill is now the law of the land.
Israel will be more religious and conservative in the future than it has been in the past.
(FYI: I am not saying rebuilding the Temple and resuming the animal sacrifices is a good thing, but I am saying the Word of God must be fulfilled, and this is a major step in that direction. According to Scripture, Jewish priests will rebuild the Temple, resume the animal sacrifices, the Antichrist will defile the Temple and stop the animal sacrifices at the middle of the Tribulation Period, the Jews in Judea will realize they made a mistake, flee into the wilderness, and turn to Jesus at the end of the Tribulation Period. The Reasonableness Standards Bill that just passed is a move in that direction. They must rebuild the Temple and go through the Tribulation Period before they get saved.)
(My opinion: To be honest, Satan is using the issue to try to weaken and destroy Israel and prevent the Second Coming. He does not have a chance.)
(More: More than a thousand pilots threatened not to show up for duty if the Reasonableness Standards Bill passed, and readers have expressed concern about the safety of Israel if the Battle of Gog and Magog broke out. Know that God is the true Defender of Israel and not the pilots. The weaker Israel is when that war takes place, the more glory He will get; Ezek. 39:1-7.)
(More: There are a lot of gays in Israel that are terrified that Israel will go back under the anti-gay Law of Moses. There are many Muslims and others that are afraid that the religious Jews will demand that Israel gets all the Promised Land, and that would start a war. I believe we are watching a major shift in Israeli politics and religion.)
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to Heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

also sorry to say the same thing endlessly but i see it so often so ugh. part of the big reason why pro prostitution discourse drives me absolutely insane is bc people today act so immensely offended abt slavery and want to blame like. every single individual in the past for it and act like everyone who didnt personally do something abt it is a piece of shit (while also forgetting that slavery is one of the worlds oldest institutions and has been practiced throughout history almost everywhere on this planet by almost everyone)
but then you apply this to prostitution today and it goes out the window. forced prostitution which is internationally one of the biggest slave trades - sex trafficking is the fastest undergrownd criminality and it is one of the most profitable if not the most. it is i would say one of the most brutal forms of slavery because it involved children and teenage girls in a very large part, and it is frankly brutal as it involves being raped 10+ times a day. id choose being a household slave or a musician slave or a worker any day. sex trafficking victims today and the worst off street prostitutes (with 0 chance of ever getting out) frankly live in worst conditions that many slaves saw around the world
obviously not every single person who doesnt spend their lives trying to do something about it is personally responsable and a piece of shit, this is ridiculous. but people today are very much using plenty of the endless justifications which were and are used for slavery and acting like abolitionists are insane. well you see some slaves sold themselves into it. well you see some slaves actually rose up in rank and accumulated wealth and bought their freedom. well you see some liked it. well you see some ended up rich and curling kindoms. well you see -
well you see that still doenst justify it. the complexity of slavery and the fact that it wasnt always brutal or that for some it "worked out" doesnt justify it. because the price payed by all those who suffered absolutely horribly is not justified.
.. . .... today there are more slaves internationally THAN EVER IN HUMAN HISTORY. EVER. slavery is arguably more brutal than it has ever been because it is no longer regulated as much and concepts of housing feeding taking care of and respecting your slave dont exist. a slave today will not rise up in a semi-flexible system to become king. slaves today are cheaper than ever and thus more dispensable and vulnerable than ever. a very high amount of the food we eat the clothes we use and the things we use are made with slave labour. today
if you arent personally doing something about slavery or sex slavery today then every single person of the past isnt personally responsable and guilty either. but stop doing fucking moral outrage over the past without looking at today
and at the very least stop fucking doing justification for it. we still need abolitionsts TODAY. we need abolitionists for the slavery in the prison system wr need abolitionsts for the slavery happening internationally and we need abolitionists for sexual slavery
the arguments made for pro-prostitution which ignore the sheer amount of horroe and how it fules sex trafficking arent that difference. some sell themselves into it for some it works out etc etc. are you that differnt from the people of the past? why do you refuse to look at the horror and at least condemn it?
and for fucks sake. how dare you act like youre so morally superior and different from anyone in the past when you not only live in a global society directly bennefiting from slavery, but want to act like abolitionists are crazy?
