Started binge watching Regular Show and watched the episode where they work overtime to get concert tickets you know the one where the giant coffee bean squirts coffee out of his man boobs but anyway there's a part where they say the concert tickets are $50 each and as someone who recently bought tickets to see Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin and Starset next year I fucking WISH they were only $50.
#maybe they were cheaper in 2010 i wouldn't know on account of i was 10#but yeah i have too many shows to watch and not enough time to watch them at home#so i downloaded the apps for all the streaming services to watch stuff at work#my supervisor is chill he doesn't really give a shit about us having videos playing as long as it doesn't distract us#but yeah i decided to watch regular show cause i still remember the early seasons but never saw the later ones#but yeah aside from the three bands i already mentioned i'm also planning to see three days grace whenever they announce a tour#i mean i know they're gonna open for distubed along with sevendust#but i assume they're gonna headline a tour after that so i'm waiting for that#2025 will be the most concerts i've ever attended in a single year which is pretty crazy#but that's what happens when your top 4 favorite bands all release new stuff at around the same time and you have little to no self control#luckily i get paid well so i can afford it as long as i'm careful#shut up tristan

i got rickrolled today but it didn't work because i have adblocker installed, so youtube just told me i violated the terms of service. yesterday i was trying to edit a picture as a joke for my girlfriend, and google made me check a box to prove i'm human because i wasn't "searching normally".
it isn't just that capitalism is killing fun and whimsy, it is that any element of entertainment or joy is being fed upon by this mosquito body, one that will suck you dry at any vulnerability.
do you want to meet new friends in your city? download this app, visit our website, sign up for our email list. pay for this class on making a terrarium, on candlemaking, on cooking. it will be 90 dollars a session. you can go to group fitness, but only under our specific gym membership. solve the puzzle, sign up for our puzzle-of-the-month-club. what is a club if not just a paid opportunity - you are all paying for the same thing, which makes you a community.
but you're like me, i know it - you're careful, you try the library meetings and the stuff at the local school and all of that. the problem is that you kind of want really specific opportunities that used to exist. you are so grateful for libraries and the publicly-funded things: they are, however, an exception - and everything they have, they've fought tooth-and-nail to protect. you read a headline about how in many other states, libraries have virtually nothing left.
do you want to meet up with your friends afterwards? gift your friends the discord app. you can choose to go to a cafe (buy a coffee, at least), a bar (money, alcohol) or you can all stay in and catch a movie (streaming) or you can all stay in bed (rent. don't get me started) and scream (noise complaint. ticket at least).
you want to read a new book, but the book has to have 124 buzzwords from tiktok readers that are, like, weirdly horny. you can purchase this audiobook on audible! your podcast isn't on spotify, it's on its own server, pay for a different site. fuck, at least you're supporting artists you like. the art museum just raised their ticket price. once, they had a temporary exhibit that acknowledged that ~85% of their permanent art galleries were from cis white men, and that they had thousands of works by women (even famous women, like frida! georgia o'keefe!) just rotting in their basement. that exhibit lasted for 3 months and then they put everything away again.
walmart proudly supports this strip of land by the street! here are some flowers with wilting leaves. its employees have to pay out-of-pocket for their uniforms. my friend once got fined by the city because she organized a community pick-up of the riverfront, which was technically private property.
no, you cannot afford to take that dance class, neither can i. by the way - i'm a teacher. i'm absolutely not saying "educators shouldn't be paid fairly." i'm saying that when i taught classes, renting a studio went from 20 bucks an hour to 180 in the span of 6 months. no significant changes to the studio were made, except they now list the place as updated and friendly. the heat still doesn't work in the building. i have literally never seen the landlord who ignores my emails. recently they've been renting it out at night as an "unusual nightclub; a once-in-a-lifetime close-knit party." they spent some of those 180 dollars on LEDs and called it renovating. the high heels they invite in have been ruining the marley.
do you want to experience the old internet? do you want to play flash games or get back the temporary joy of club penguin? you can, you just need to pay for it. i have a weird, neurodivergent obsession with occasionally checking in to watch the downfall and NFT-ification of neopets. if i'm honest with you all - i never got into webkins, my family didn't have the money to buy me a pointless elephant. people forget that "being poor" can mean literally "if i buy you that toy, i can't afford rent."
you and i don't have time to make good food, and we don't have the budget for it. we are not gonna be able to host dinner parties, we're not made of money, kid. do you want some kind of 3rd space? a space that isn't home or work or school? you could try being online, but - what places actually exist for you? tiktok counts as social media because you see other people on it, not because they actually talk to you.
there was a local winter tradition of sledding down the hill at my school. kids would use pizza boxes and jackets and whatever worked, howling and laughing. back in september, they made a big announcement that this time, rules were changing, and everyone must pay 10 dollars to participate. when im not scared shitless, i kind of appreciate the environmental irony - it hasn't gone below 40. so much for snow & joyriding.
i saw a bulletin for a local dogwalking group and, nervous about making a good first impression, showed up early. the first guy there grimaced at me. "sorry," he said. "there's a 30-dollar buy-in fee." i thought he was joking. wait. for what? the group doesn't offer anything except friendship and people with whom to walk around the city.
he didn't know the answer. just shrugged at me. "you know," he said. "these days, everything costs money."
#spilled ink#warm up#“why did u tag it warm up” bc i wrote it off the cuff while drinkin coffee lol#btw the 30 dollar buy in for the dog walking is bc they pay the organizer a small pittance so she can#run fb ads and stuff and like she does put in a lot of work i don't mind paying her#but that's exactly what im fucking talking about like.#ppl can't afford to volunteer their time anymore and we all understand it!!! everything costs money for everyone!#like we didn't have to use to say ''do you mind paying me back for the stuff we ate''#we used to be able to afford to feed our friends once in a while!!!

Well, since OpenMediaVault totally broke Docker integration and the only Docker container I've been able to get working perfectly is Portainer, I think I'm moving on to just installing stuff directly from the SSH terminal. Worked for Tailscale.
First thing I did this morning is install Jellyfin. Setting up my library was a lot easier than I expected. I thought I was going to have to run a script to reformat the filenames to Jellyfin's strict naming convention, but it found everything and only a handful of them didn't automatically identify. Fixing those glitches is really easy in the web interface too, especially next to how it works on Kodi.
On the other hand, I have a lot more flexibility with subtitles on Kodi. Jellyfin is designed to be set and forget, so if you want subtitles and you don't have subtitles, you have to tell it to automatically get subtitles for everything, and it downloads one subtitle file, hope it works. On Kodi, if I start watching a thing and decide I want subtitles, I can just pull up an in-player menu to select which service to search and pick which of the results I want. Doesn't work? Download another on the fly. At least I can still change the timing offset, I was worried I couldn't.
Then there's the Android TV app. I like the web interface pretty well, but on Android TV, your options are either "pick what you want out of a wall of contextless posters" or a more advanced option that does show some information and arrange them in a line, but only the ones it recommends you pick, not the full library. If you want to browse the whole library, you have to go back to the basic wall. We really like the view options the default Estuary skin in Kodi provides.
Finally, the transcoding by default is both probably not the best option for my poor little XU4 and also makes it a lot harder to seek to different times in the file than when we were just streaming the Samba share. Jellyfin seems to solve some of my problems but it's not really made for my use case, I think.
A side effect of thinking that I had to rename all my files was I attempted to copy my 200+GB library from the byzantine file structure OMV created to /Media. I just now found out that the reason my 32GB sd card boot disk shot up from less than 20% usage to 80% usage was because, of course, /Media is on the boot disk, not on the 3TB hard drive. I only figured this out after I spent like half an hour trying to figure out how to give Jellyfin the permissions it needed to move its metadata to the 3TB drive.
On to Photoprism, I guess. Maybe I won't completely use up my memory. I am pretty concerned about CPU and memory usage with this little thing. I'm sure that in order to get everything I want up and running I'll need a full-power multicore x64 system.

Why are so many people producing podcasts?
Originating as ‘audio blogging’, podcasts have undergone some evolution in the past years. From their beginnings to becoming a global phenomenon, the rise of podcasts has revolutionized the way we consume entertainment, education, and information these days. First, ask what is a podcast? It is a blog in forms of audio that is distributed globally on dozens of platforms. Let’s get dive into Why are so many people producing podcasts?
Low Barrier to Entry
It’s getting easier to listen. Podcasting has a bit of a barrier to entry tho because it’s not accessed the same as YouTube or similar media content on the internet. Now that there are more podcasting apps out there and more people are listing it’s easier to find someone to explain how to listen. Starting a podcast is relatively easy and inexpensive compared to other forms of media production. Before, podcasts made by APPLE COMPANY were complicated to operate. Hardware and software were both just so so. Also, large space was needed to save the recorded program. However, the function of recording, de-noising, mixing, uploading is improving. This has led to a proliferation of podcasts on various topics, giving listeners a wide array of choices.
For video there is a lot more that goes into it technically. With podcasting all you need is a microphone which can be bought for less than $100 easily and software to record in which can be used for free. We have the list of the Best Mics under 100$.
Grow Your Business Through Personal Branding
I can bet on this. 90% creators you see on internet came to internet to promote their Business and make money. If you have a business and you want tons of traffic there is no better way than creating something on the internet. Podcasting is just one of those where all you have to do is interview and add some of your visions sometimes to ultimately to create a Personal Brand. And later on when people start loving you, show them your product, They will jump over it.
Monetization Opportunities
As podcasting has grown in popularity, there are more opportunities for creators to monetize their content through sponsorships, advertising, merchandise sales, and listener support through platforms like Patreon.
Distribution
Another reason for the recent popularity is that podcasts are now being distributed on major streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, and Apple’s music streaming service. Currently, the most popular podcast publishers are iHeartRadio and NPR, each with over 22 million monthly listeners. These networks offer top podcasts such as Stuff You Should Know, Planet Money, and TED Radio Hour.
Hosting
There are services that make hosting very easy. For example Podbean, buzzsprout, pinecast or podient. Check out this blog to Know which Hosting is perfect for you.
Why are so many people listening to podcasts
There are a ton of niche topics. Do you want a podcast on fountain pens? You’re in luck. What about you’re favorite obscure cartoon from your childhood? It’s probably a thing. There is something everyone will be interested in.
Accessibility
Podcasts are easily accessible to anyone with an internet connection and a smartphone or computer. Mainly because of the widespread use of smartphones, listeners can download or stream episodes on-demand, making it convenient to consume content anytime, anywhere. SOUNDCLOUD on the Internet had only more than 3,000,000 users during nearly 10 years. Once mobile Internet occurred, the number of users increased to 1,000,000,000 suddenly.
Portability
Podcasts have surged in popularity because they are portable. You can listen to podcasts in your car, on a train, and I like to listen to podcasts when I work out or jog and doing any household task. The podcast is a downloadable audio file and you can binge listen even if you are doing something else. So, you can’t easily read a blog while you are riding a bike or driving a car. You definitely should not watch a video while you are doing those things! Now, the podcast pops in and delivers educational value on YOUR terms. You can binge download when you run into a problem (i.e., DivorceAndBeyondPod.com) or a dilemma or maybe you can learn French with a podcast. You can have energy healing chakra clearing meditations.
Diverse Content
Podcasts cover a wide range of topics and interests, catering to diverse audiences. If you’re interested in true crime, self-improvement, history, comedy, or any other subject, there is likely a podcast that suits your preferences. You get content you can’t get anywhere else. Podcasting often covers hyper-niche topics (chameleon breeding), and you’re not going to find that on TV, radio, etc. So while that show may never have 10,000 downloads, the people who find that show, that need that show, LOVE that show.
Convenience
Podcasts allow listeners to multitask while consuming content. People can listen to podcasts while commuting, exercising, doing household chores, or during any other activity where they can’t read or watch videos. How many YouTube videos can you watch while driving? How many blogs can you read while physically working with your hands? The truth is that you can clean your house, mop your floor, walk the dog, brush your teeth, close your eyes, work out, ride a bike, and more all while listening to a very interesting and free conversation or story on exactly what you are interested in. Podcasts can be played almost anytime without intense focus. You can play them during routine boring parts of life that transform those times into extremely interesting and mentally stimulating periods. Podcasts are pretty dang sweet if you ask me.
Personal Connection
Podcast hosts often have a more intimate and conversational tone compared to traditional media. This can create a sense of connection and engagement with the audience, fostering a loyal following.
Long-form Content
Podcasts typically allow for longer, more in-depth discussions compared to other forms of media like radio or television. This can attract audiences looking for detailed analysis and conversations on specific topics. In many cases, people are taking a “deep dive” into a subject vs the six-minute interview you get on TV. The production and consumption of voice are turning into rigid demand. Podcasts are no longer fragmented programs.
Community Building
Podcasts can foster a sense of community among listeners who share common interests. Many podcasts have dedicated fan bases that engage with each other and the creators through social media, live events, and other channels.
Radio’s Decline
Radio has lost its personality. Back in the 50s–70s, people listened to the DJ who brought them their favorite music. The DJ’s personality and passion for the music came through. Now at night, Siri is the DJ playing music I don’t want to hear saturated with too many commercials. Radio will not go away, but now that there are alternatives, they are going to have to pay attention to their listeners more.
Future Prospects
The popularity of podcasts is likely to rise with over 20 million books on Amazon and around 4 billion videos on YouTube, while the podcast space has under 1 million. Alexa will be next. My prediction!
Segmented Information
Podcast audio content enables listeners to explore topics without needing to set aside time to read or watch videos. Podcasts also offer information in small, manageable segments perfect for daily commutes or hectic schedules.
Educational Value
Podcasts offer a wealth of educational content on a wide range of topics, which makes them valuable resources for lifelong learning. Whether you’re interested in exploring the depths of history, mastering a new language, delving into scientific discoveries, or enhancing your professional skills, there’s a podcast to suit every area of interest and expertise.
One of the key advantages of podcasts in terms of education is their accessibility. Unlike traditional educational resources such as textbooks or academic journals, podcasts are freely available and easily accessible to anyone with an internet connection and a smartphone or computer. This accessibility democratizes education, breaking down barriers to learning and empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds to access high-quality educational content.
Moreover, podcasts offer a unique learning experience that combines entertainment with education. Through engaging storytelling, in-depth discussions, and expert interviews, podcasts bring complex topics to life in a way that is both informative and entertaining.
Overall, the combination of accessibility, diverse content, convenience, personal connection, and low barriers to entry has contributed to the popularity of podcasting as a medium for entertainment, education, and information.
Conclusion
Listeners are drawn to podcasts due to their diverse content, covering a wide range of topics catering to niche interests. The convenience of consuming podcasts while multitasking, coupled with the personal connection and long-form discussions offered by hosts, has further contributed to their appeal. Podcasts also foster a sense of community among listeners with shared interests, transcending geographical boundaries.

YouTube Age Restriction Content on Roku
You own a Roku SmartTV. You download the YouTube app onto your RokuTV. You connect your YouTube account.
You are ready to start streaming videos from YouTube through your TV. You go to watch and one of two things happen. The first is the video glitches out and plays the next video inline. The second thing that happens is you receive an error messages that says; "Something went wrong," "Playback error," or "An error occurred, please try again later." The one I kept getting was “Something went wrong. Log into your Google account and verify your age.”
This would not happen all of the time, but would happen on some videos while never happen on most. It sort of behaves like it is an age restriction thing. However, I never have any issues on any other devices with my YouTube account except on the RokuTV. Videos in my watch later would either glitch out and it would skip the video, playing the next one in the queue or it would give me the playback error message. I’d switch to another account and watch the same video and it would work without any hitches. I go back to my primary account it would do the same thing on those specific videos.
After spending a few hours of looking stuff up on the Roku website forums and YouTube videos on the subject I was able to navigate to what the issue “probably” was. The forums were useless. There was some obvious checks and balances suggested. However, most of the suggestions were dead-ends while others didn’t even make any IT sense. The support staff that would chime in from time to time on the thread was either bot responses, (likely) or customer service agents clearly not reading what is being said and that, is like, tech 101. If they are missing that bad then get help from other areas I say. Me being 25+ years in network admin/IT doesn't really care who is at fault with this. Roku is a device for non-technical people so every help question should not be a thousand word essay on technical aspects about Google/YouTube/Roku written in this "I know more than you" mentality. I did get this fixed; but the forum was not much help.
If you experience this glitch follow these steps. You will not have to factory reset your RokuTV or anything crazy like that. All your troubles are with the YouTube app on the TV and how it was originally installed and signed into:
1) Check age/birthday is fully filled out on your Google account associated to the YouTube account in question. I went ahead and also made my birthday public. I cannot verify whether or not this makes a difference. I did it just to be certain that I could get it working. I know people want to hide their personal information, but many of these apps now require as much data about you as it can so it can tailor your experience. They also do this for advertising purposes, of course, but if you want access to the app and all its features you got to give them access to your behaviors and data. If your correct birthday is already there you can skip this step.
2) Now we need to either Reset and/or Remove the YouTube app on your RokuTV. On your RokuTV, go to the YouTube app. Click settings and click reset app. You can either remove the app and reinstall or just redo the credentials. Resetting the app, basically does this, but I went ahead and did a remove/reinstall of the app just to be certain. It only takes a minute. I only wanted to do this once anyway.
3) Reboot your Roku the proper way. Settings --> System --> Power --> System Restart.
4) Reinstall the YouTube app on your RokuTV.
5) Be sure to sign in with your main/primary YouTube account if you have multiple accounts first. If you have multiple accounts on the same email, which you can do, just make sure your primary is the first/primary account that you sign into. I have 2 accounts on the same email, by which one of them is an old legacy YouTube account. That for me was more than likely the issue on my side of this subject.
6) Once I put back in my credentials with my legacy account as the primary account, which it is, the videos that were being skipped due to age restrictions began to play. I had no more glitches either and it seems fixed for now.
For me, I had the newer account on the TV first and it was a year before I realized I had 2 flippin' YouTube accounts. I did not realize years ago that when you create a Google account, mainly a Gmail account that it automatically creates you a profile for YouTube. My initial YouTube account was setup in 2006 before one had to have a Gmail to use YouTube as an account holder. The settings are radically different since YouTube was purchased by Google later in 2006. Some of the legacy settings from before absolutely do not transfer verbatim from account to account. It is important if one has an older YouTube account that is their main YouTube account, like mine, that you have to pay attention to such things, which I did not at the time. Now I always run into some sort of issue with permissions or sync issues. I have most of this fixed now and wrote a blog about my last Roku/YouTube issue. I keep seeing online that these same issues are not easy to find the specific workarounds to fix these issues. I wrote that blog and this one so that there is something coherent on the INTERNET solving these issues. More specifically to non-tech people. I have found they have the most issues with getting technology to work for them.
Hope this helps people that stumble upon this BLOG. My solutions came from years and years of just tinkering with these devices and understanding how these things work. I mean when you walk into a Wal-Mart and purchase a 50-inch SmartTV for under $300; what do you expect?

Online Socializing and Distraction Masterpost
You're bored, you're lonely, you’re an extrovert and social distancing sounds like hell on earth, you're not sure you can handle what feels like endless isolation - I get it and I want to help. This list is broken into two sections: Free for your own use and Free if your library offers it. I am not posting anything that requires money to use (excluding the cost of streaming services for those programs), so you will not see any of the endless extended free trials companies have been throwing out - If you're interested in such a list, go here, here, and here. And Comixology. Free to Use: -twoseven.xyz - RIP Rabbit 😢 Now that that’s out of the way, I know some of you gave up on a replacement - Kast sucked, half the replacements were broken, no one filled the gap. However, after several months of tv watching with friends, I can say twoseven is the most expansive and functional tv sharing site I’ve found. Everyone can pause, play, rewind, etc without it getting out of sync (unless your interenet is really bad) All your friends will need to install the app, it gets funky when using Netflix and Hulu, and I’ve occassionally had issues using it with Firefox, but otherwise it works. -Netflix Party - If Netflix is your main, this is your app. Unlike Twoseven, you can set up audio chat, if that’s something you want. HOWEVER, unlike twoseven, you all need a Netflix account. No free riders here :( *At the time of this post, it’s currently having issues with the latest version, with plans to drop a fixed release by Tuesday. -Disboard and Discord.me - You’re probably already aware of Discord, have an account, maybe a couple servers you’re active in. It can be difficult finding a quality server with both good members and subject you’re interested in - these two are better at finding such servers than Discord’s Discovery feature or hoping one of your mutuals reads your desperate telepathic pleas to give an invite. -Discord - Again, you all likely know of Discord as a socializing platform. It’s been gradually improving its video chat and video share features, letting you and your friends talk while you show off your game/movie/hentai/whatever. It’s at the bottom of the list because I found it to be the spottiest of all the media group share software. -Roll20 - Maybe you’ve always been curious about tabletop games, maybe all your interested friends are in different timezones. VERY useful if you have zero interest in keeping track of numbers or doing the math yourself. Recommend playing using with Discord’s voice chat.
-Facetime, Houseparty, Hangouts, Duo, WhatsApp - None of these are linked since there’s various platforms you can download them on, but basically if you want to video chat - especially with multiple people - these are the most popular. I do not like video chatting so I cannot/will not vouch for any. Make on-nomi a thing and have a drinking party. -Exercise Playlist - Gyms are closed and going outside is currently being discouraged. Don’t give up!
Free to Use IF Your Library Holds a Subscription Your library probably offers a lot of online services outside of ebooks. Their list can likely be found on their website or by searching “[your local/county library] eCollection”or “[your local/county library] online resources.” These are a few yours might subscribe to, but if they don’t you can always make a request:
-Libby and Overdrive - Libby is the app for OverDrive. Read ebooks and listen to audiobooks from your library’s OverDrive collection on mobile using Libby. -RBDigital - Primarily provides a wide variety of magazines in a few languages, but offers some ebooks and audiobooks as well. -PressReader - All the newspapers you can read. If you’re constantly frustrated by paywalls, check whether this is available to you. -Kanopy - On-demand streaming video platform for public libraries and universities that offers films and documentaries, plus a kids’ section. Hey, guess which site has Moonlight, Midsommar, and m’big brain stuff showing, that’s right, Kanopy
-Hoopla - Another public library database - movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and TV shows. Its selection is smaller than Libby/Overdrive, but there’s no holds and no waiting, just read that book. -Lynda - Yeah yeah, learn a skill. More importantly, play around and find an interest. Maybe you’ll like Unity, maybe you’re curious if any marketing tips could apply to your ao3 fic. -Freegal - Unlimited music streaming, download 5 DRM-free songs per week. -Mango Languages - Online learning program for over 70 languages and growing. Do it if you’re tired of being threatened by the duolingo bird. -Bookflix - Scholastic made their book fair online. For the kids. -Consumer Reports - An American nonprofit organization dedicated to unbiased product testing, investigative journalism, consumer-oriented research, public education, and consumer advocacy. Useful for making big purchases, though not as high profile as it used to be.
And that’s all I’ve got! Hope at least one person finds it useful.

Here’s my note before I’ll get started….
(DON’T YOU EVER COPY FROM MINE OR MY FRIEND’S WORK, CHARACTERS, AND STUFF IF ONE OF YOU ARE IMPOSTERS WHO HAD HABITS OF PLAGIARISM! I WILL BLOCK YOU FROM MY BLOG IF I SEE YOUR POST WITH MINE OR MY FRIEND’S ORIGINAL WORK BEING EDITED ALL OVER! I’LL EVEN SHARE IT ONTO MY BLOG SO IF EVERYONE WILL SEE THAT YOU TRYING TO COPY MINE OR MY FRIEND’S THINGS FOR NO GOOD REASON WHATSOEVER! That will be all….I mean it.)
🥜 Brown: Hey guys! I think its finally time that I would to bring my reactions and thoughts for new fighter game coming this year soon. Our creator friend wanted to have this during the last week of Janaury 2022 that I'll take it from here; especially hoping to save his time of doing something special for ❤February 2022 he'll won't forget. However he wanted to delayed it after few days ago of what he gotten from his friend's past post to share; at least for an important reason when there's a bully spammer alert to report on.
Link Here #1
🥜 Brown: It was a good thing to make a right move though. Helping needs is helping needs that he wanted to go through instead of ignoring or saving for another time to share. I'm pretty sure he'll won't forget at the exact time; more or less. Anyways, I'm bringing to you my thoughts and reactions post to share around ❤February 2022 today, but apologize from deleying a bit when me and my friends also help from bully spammer problem to take care of; including another one when he's on DeviantArt. You're welcome, by the way. Now here's this: I've heard about "MultiVersus" since after hearing some rumors until November last year when the first official trailer that you've probably seen before.
youtube
🥜 Brown: It was rather shock me to believe this game is exist from while back, but in recent days later that it had a fresh look. A new Super Smash Bros-like fighting game being developed by Player First Games while published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment; featuring characters from their franchises like DC Comics, Looney Tunes, and even Cartoon Network shows such as Adventure Time/Steven Universe included! I was out of my head to see this huge crossover since.....well anything! Sure there's plenty of times companies wanted to dive in the craze like Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl for example. It does need more content to addressed still, but hoping I can stick around soon instead of move away from. For MultiVersus though, Its something I'll can look forward as well; especially I'm used to have my memories of watching Warner Bros movies and animated shows as much I'm more into Cartoon Network stuff. Though it was the same thing that I'm with the original Teen Titans show, so that counts right? Anyways, this game is being made as a free to play experience to download through consoles or at stream services available. While it was an okay choice to have, but personally I'm much would to prefer anything else. I know about free to play games when I see whether on the app store on mobile phones or gaming consoles. I'm not to sure if I'll jump right in quickly to get one though. On first hand looks promising that grab my attention while the other hand gonna cost me with currency if I wanted to unlocked costumes for every characters. Though there's plenty more than just that, but still. I'm hoping this game can have some unlockables by simply playing through it progress so far. It does happens on other free to play games, right? I'll just wait to find out if our creator friend will managed to get one for his Xbox One console so I can see for himself. At least knowing what to expected before he can say anything about if it's worth it of not. I'm hoping of what he's doing or simply watching review videos on YouTube; whatever he chooses.

🥜 Brown: Aside from that, After checking the MultiVersus's fighter roster looks pretty interesting for my eyes. Each fighters had awesome moveset and specials to write a list down from. Before I can get to that though, I wanted to share some reactions a bit for the character's appearances. Finn, Jake, Steven, and Garnet is one of those characters that I'll be happy to play as them; being as a CN fan like myself and all. It was no surprise though since they owned by WarnerMedia when airing cartoons on television or at streaming services through HBO Max for example. That and also fitting picks since they're skilled of fighting things as good heroes. Speaking of what as I said before, each fighters had special moves and unique abilities if you hoping to help your co-op friend in 2v2 matches for good use. (Or your CPU player depend the option when going for solo play) For example, Steven's abilities when activate his shield power for protection was a nice touch; especially his type is "Support" to aid your co-op or CPU player in battle. Of course each fighters had different types of their abilities for battle that I don't see why not to be curious about. However what I finding this different is because of customization to set up; that includes special moves and taunts of each fighter before going to a match with others. Looks like I'll just wait to find out how does it work when the game released; whether was a good thing or not.
My Thoughts:
🥜 Brown: *Whew* Looks like that's all I could say for MulitVersus while trying to share this, but sorry if I wanted to talk more from when building up my expression or something. Time will tell when I'm coming back soon, but checking this game being developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment was a fresh new look to get into. However being a free-to-play game does have turn back for someone; especially for me when I'm hoping it could've been something else. However this will be a fun game at least for trying something different and the roster of 13 playable characters that me and our creator friend will look forward to. Didn't I forgot to mention they have voice acting from reprised actors we've know about before? Nicely!
😁👍🏼
🥜 Brown: Here's hoping this game will live up the hype, but hoping not too much for our brains can take to believe. There's gonna be some mistakes to be addressed like last time when Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl gotten into a rocky start with bugs and lack of voice acting for each Nicktoon fighters. At least knowing the devs are trying to work on it that should be coming very soon. In fact, today that I'll look forward to its next update through IGN for another fighter added; previously was 🐱Garfield which too be honest was an unexpected surprise since dealing rights from Viacom. Anyways, hope you guys like this post I've come up for MultiVersus to share. See ya later! 👋😁

DRAMAtical Murder Masterpost type thing (Links to buy things and a general introduction to what DMMd is)
So... since information on DRAMAtical Murder tends to be scattered and/or outdated, I'm making this. It's not necessarily needed, but hopefully it'll help someone, and it'll also satisfy my weird need to archive and compile things(?) lol. This will cover what DRAMAtical Murder even is, to how to play/purchase the game, to other links + resources for existing fans. This is mainly just… links to purchase things. So many links. If you have any suggestions, additions, or if something is incorrect, please let me know! If you have any questions at all, feel free to send me an ask or message- I will answer as best I can. A note about the links- links to sites where the item is unavailable are not included here. So there were other sites where things could be purchased, but are now not available, so I excluded them. I tried my best to check that all items were still available to purchase and that they were also official links (Although some of them I kind of couldn’t tell). If something becomes unavailable or a link doesn't work or etc, please let me know. Also, please be aware that as DMMd is an 18+ game, some links may contain adult content. Otherwise, is this post late by like 7 years? Yes. Moving on.
Firstly...
What is DRAMAtical Murder?
DRAMAtical Murder (DMMd) is an r18 Boys Love Visual novel created by Nitro+CHiRAL back in 2012. It has 4 character routes, with a 5th unlockable one. All the routes have 2 endings each, a good and bad ending- with the exception of 1 who has multiple bad endings (Noiz). There was a sequel/fandisc released in 2013 with DRAMAtical Murder re:connect, a SFW PS Vita port in 2014 with DRAMAtical Murder re:code (with the explicit content cut out and an extra route added), and an Anime adaptation in the same year. There was also a stage play adaptation in late 2019. There was a fanmade translation patch released for DMMd and DMMd re:connect on AarinFantasy forums, which is how many fans experienced the game in English. It was only in recent years that DMMd, and other Nitro+CHiRAL games would get an offical English translation by JAST BLUE. Nitro+CHiRAL has released other BL games, with Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and Sweet Pool. Their most recent release is Slow Damage, which will be getting an offical English release as well. I encourage you to support and purchase the official release if you are able to. As the game is now out officially in English, there will be no links or etc to the patch in this post.
Here is one plot summary (Technically from the Anime but the other ones I found were google translate quality); The story takes place many years in the future where the game "Rhyme," a virtual fighting game, is incredibly popular and people possess "AllMates," convenient AI computers. Aoba leads an ordinary life, working at a junk shop and living with his grandmother on the island of Midorijima. Unlike his friends, he doesn't participate in Rhyme, nor does he belong in a gang. However, when rumors of people disappearing spread, Aoba finds himself needing to unravel the mysteries behind the island in order to protect his everyday life. So, basically, DMMd is a BL Visual novel. Like all Nitro+CHiRAL games, DMMd contains content some may find triggering- just as a small warning. Otherwise, and this is coming from a huge fan- I personally think DMMd is amazing. The characters are wonderful, their backstories are unique and makes them feel fleshed out and give the DMMd world more life, in a way- the music is incredible and really… there is nothing quite like DMMd, it's so wonderfully strange and great. I promise you it's so much more than just the explicit stuff. ...But again that's just me. Not everyone will like it and even some fans will not see it the same way I do, but anyway.
How can I play the game?
For the Japanese version; There are two versions of DMMd; the original, and the Windows 10 version. The original isn't sold anymore to my knowledge, however that version should still work on Windows 10. Please note you will need to set your system Locale to Japanese or use something like Locale Emulator/NTLEA to play the game, or it will not work. Setting your actual system Locale to Japanese may cause problems, so keep this in mind. For the English version; Simply use the links provided below to purchase the official English release of the game! Here are the links to purchase the games, including physical and digital copies. Some links may not work for English users, a VPN may be needed. It may also be possible to use a Proxy/Package forwarding service depending. DRAMAtical Murder; (ENGLISH) (JAST USA, uncensored) https://jastusa.com/dramatical-murder (Steam, censored) https://store.steampowered.com/app/1481080/DRAMAtical_Murder/ (Uncensor patch for the Steam version) https://jastusa.com/dramatical-murder-dlc-steam (Note that this patch is NOT needed if you bought the game from the JAST USA store) (J-List, uncensored physical copy) https://www.jlist.com/category/games-computers/visual-novels/blue003le

What about DRAMAtical Murder re:connect?
re:connect is the fandisc/sequel to the original. It has mainly the short stories that add to the original endings, both good and bad. It also has more stories that can be unlocked like Aoba’s backstory, and what happened afterwards with Mizuki. It also includes minigames and the April Fools jokes N+C did before re:connect was released. JAST BLUE has not confirmed a translation will happen for re:connect, but there is still the fan translation released on Aarinfantasy forums. If there is any news on JAST BLUE and re:connect, I will update this post. As said before, there is no Windows 10 version of re:connect, although it should work fine on Windows 10 regardless. Below are the links to purchase it. DRAMAtical Murder re:connect; (Nitroplus store, digital) https://nitroplus.ecq.sc/np00947.html (DMM, digital) https://www.dmm.co.jp/mono/pcgame/-/detail/=/cid=1064apc10368/ (Amazon, physical) https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00BB6X522 (Stellaworth, digital) https://www.stellaworth.co.jp/shop/item.php?item_id=zsKBDBKLWK0 (Stellaworth, digital (Comes with CD bonus(?)) https://www.stellaworth.co.jp/shop/item.php?item_id=KDaAgAaaDxK As before, please note you will need to set your system Locale to Japanese or use something like Locale Emulator/NTLEA to play the game, or it will not work. Setting your actual system Locale to Japanese may cause problems, so keep this in mind.
Then what about DRAMAtical Murder re:code?
re:code is the PS Vita port of the original PC release. It cuts out the explicit content, censors some CGs for a 15+ rating, adds new CGs and even some new scenes, and adds an entirely new route; the Morphine route, aka the Mizuki route. re:code also addressed some plot-holes that were in the original. Here are the links to purchase re:code; DRAMAtical Murder re:code; (Playstation store, digital) https://store.playstation.com/ja-jp/product/JP0169-PCSG00420_00-DRAMATICALMURDER (Amazon, physical) https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00LIQQAI6/ You can purchase and play the physical copy with no issues. For digital copies it’s a little trickier. Here is a guide to downloading Japanese games on your PS Vita; https://kotaku.com/how-to-play-games-from-the-japanese-psn-on-your-non-jap-5983578 ^ Note that this is not a problem with physical copies. re:code is not in English and hasn't been confirmed for an official English localization, but there is a fan translation of the Morphine/Mizuki route that's exclusive to re:code, by shinocchidesu. You can read it here; https://shinocchidesu.net/post/162356717914/dramatical-murder-recode-morphine-route They have also shown the main differences between the original and re:code routes. You can also watch the gameplays uploaded by FancyPotatoCake on YouTube here whilst using the fan translation if you want; https://www.youtube.com/user/SuRi00ReUp/playlists +For the Morphine/Mizuki route, the actual route starts on part 7, at around 21:00 onwards. It’s unlikely that re:code will get an official English translation, but then again- DMMd is, and it’s been like 7 years since that came out, so maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The stage play
In late 2019, there was a stage play adaptation of DMMd, featuring all the routes as separate performances. You can purchase them on the following sites and stream it for up to 60 days before needing to purchase it again; https://www.dmm.com/digital/top/stage/dmmd/ https://mirail.video/title/3290017 The above sites won't let you purchase unless you use a VPN. If you cannot use the link, you can download recordings of the streams here; https://misaki01.tumblr.com/post/190765753950/dl-brain-crash-theater-dramatical-murder-all Please follow the rules listed on the post and read everything carefully. As for stage play translations, you can find more information on them here; https://hkdmmd.tumblr.com/post/622736646854574081/dmmd-stage-play-translations (Thank you again <3)
The drama CDs
There have been various drama CDs for DMMd. The drama CDs (or in this case, BLCD) is essentially the same as the Visual novel, except it’s purely audio. The same voice actors from the VN are in the drama CDs. The bonus CDs; Some of the CDs were included as a special pre-order bonus, with different CDs from different sites. I’m unsure if these are able to be purchased anymore, unless it’s second-hand. You can see various links for the CDs here; https://dmmdresources.tumblr.com/cds There were also a series of "after" drama CDs, which are set after re:connect. (And in my opinion, are extremely important for understanding the routes and their backstories better. I highly recommend listening to them!) The majority of the CDs can be found on YouTube, some also have English subtitles. Shibaface on Tumblr has translated all the main "after" CDs here; https://shibaface.tumblr.com/tagged/translation You can also view the same translations here as documents; https://1drv.ms/f/s!AqrTMWbLX7u5mANJd60_3W2WuK6g Below are links to purchase the "after" CDs. The Side stories
There were various side stories as well, most of them being posted onto the Nitro+CHiRAL staff blog, but there was also a small book released. The main one released as a book, was the Summer Side Stories. It's set after the re:connect good ends. (As a side note, I believe the "after" drama CDs are set after these side stories, or all the side stories- sort of making those CDs the "final chapter" in the DMMd world but… I could be wrong lol) For buying the Summer Side Stories; https://nitroplus.ecq.sc/npo926.html https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00UPW8PXC Here is an English translation for the Summer Side Stories (In PDF format); https://dmmd-support.tumblr.com/post/106543447780/download-click-here-the-team-belatedly-wishes Birthday side stories; Noiz; (Original post) https://www.nitrochiral.com/staffblog/2012/1554.php (Translation by ancestralmask) https://ancestralmask.tumblr.com/post/27089560151/translation-noizs-birthday-2012 Mink; (Original post) https://www.nitrochiral.com/staffblog/2012/1582.php (Translation by memera) https://memera.tumblr.com/post/32354840550 Koujaku; (Original post) https://www.nitrochiral.com/staffblog/2012/1575.php (Translation by ancestralmask) https://ancestralmask.tumblr.com/post/29734654910/translation-koujakus-birthday-2012 Clear; (Original post) https://www.nitrochiral.com/staffblog/2013/1626.php (Translation by memera) https://memera.tumblr.com/post/45398166319 Ren (+ Aoba); (Original post) https://www.nitrochiral.com/staffblog/2013/1659.php (translation by ayuuria) https://ayuuria.tumblr.com/post/48594080767/422-short-story-aoba-and-rens-birthday Valentine Side stories; *The original posts were only up from the 14th to the 17th before being deleted. General merch + Proxy/Forwarding services
I didn't list all the merch available, because… there's a lot. You can buy general (official) DMMd merch from these sites; (Nitroplus store) https://nitroplus.ecq.sc/work/dramatical-murder.html (Nitroplus Store (English)) https://nitroplus-global.ecq.sc/work/dramatical-murder.html ^ Note that the English version doesn't have all the items found in the Japanese site. (Animate shop) https://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/animetitle/?aid=2508 ^ This is where the stage play bromides are being sold, alongside some other DMMd things. (Bromides being pictures of the actors, basically) (CDJapan) https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ ^ You can search for DRAMAtical Murder here. I don't see a lot of extra items still available though. *Just to mention, the r18 Morphine Aoba figure is now sold on J-List. That's the only DMMd merch on there currently (until DMMd releases in English I assume, as the physical copy will likely be sold on J-List too). You can of course also use stuff like Amazon and Ebay, but I believe the sites listed above are the only official sites. Some sites don't deliver outside of Japan. For stuff like that, you can use a Proxy or a Forwarding service. I won't go into detail about them here, but be sure to research them carefully (Especially since some countries won't allow some items and may add extra fees as well). You can also get a lot of merch second-hand too, of course. But beware of bootleg merchandise. It can be pretty easy to see when an item is a bootleg, but often bootlegs can look almost as good and official as the real thing. Below are some guides on how to spot a bootleg; https://solarisjapan.com/blogs/news/ultimate-guide-bootlegs-fake-anime-figures https://animegami.co.uk/blog/how-to-spot-a-bootleg-counterfeit-figure-by-animegami/ These mainly apply to figures, but still.
Extra stuff
A couple of extra miscellaneous links because why not. 100% save data for DRAMAtical Murder (Not re:connect); https://cadavaberry.tumblr.com/post/20877649750 ^ Useful for if you want to replay Ren's route, but don't want to replay all the other routes to unlock it since you keep losing your saves (aka me). *If you haven't played before, please play the routes and don't use this to skip any! You'd really be missing out in that case I feel. A generally amazing resource for so many different DMMd things; https://dmmdresources.tumblr.com/ (That's all I have for right now but I may add stuff later, oops.) I would like to say a huge thank you to all the translators and everyone who has contributed in one way or another to help with letting people like myself enjoy DMMd. This isn't exactly the post for thanks, but anyway. Thank you all. (。’▽’。)♡ I hope this helped at all!! If anyone would like any more information on anything else DMMd-related, you're more than welcome to send an ask or message. I won't be able to answer everything but I will certainly try, haha.

Ep 205: Terry Carnation's "Dark Air" and Rich Hatem
“Imagine the universe, compressed on the head of a pin…”
– Scott’s remembrance of a Carl Sagan quote, which, turns out, probably originates from a parody impression of Carl Sagan
Description:
We have a very special guest joining us tonight, metaphysical "astralnaut," philosopher of the liminal, "Pope of the Paranormal," and host of the AM Radio talk show Dark Air, Terry Carnation. Terry first got his start in the paranormal radio genre when unexpectedly thrust into taking over for another show. While working as a late-night rock n' roll Disc Jockey for an FM station in Buffalo, NY, in 1992, Reginald Wilcox, the host of the paranormal call-in show that aired after Terry's slot was mysteriously murdered while Terry was in the bathroom... or so he claims. In his unflappable sense of duty, apparently stronger than his sense of legal obligation, Terry immediately took over the role of consigliere for listeners stupefied by the supernatural. And in Terry's words, "that's how a legend was created." Now, after a three-year hiatus, Terry Carnation returns with a new podcast, also called Dark Air, available starting April 1, 2021, wherever podcasts are given away for free. While you may not have heard of him, there will be something uneasily familiar about his voice and visage. And the audience will come to know his strange power for tearing off the head of disbelief and reaching down deep into our souls to yank out the viscera of our darkest fears and mysteries. Wrapped around our interview with Terry, our good buddy Rich Hatem joins us once again to discuss his latest adventures and projects. We'll also con him into playing our version of a game show, in the spirit of America's NPR radio program Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! and Britain's Would I Lie to You? We'll tell Rich three outrageous paranormal stories, and he has to guess which one is fake. Please join us for an episode of inscrutable levity.

Hello, friends!
I know that right now is kind of a scary time for many, so I wanted to take a moment to make a post of free resources that you could utilize to try relax & take you mind off of things if you’re having trouble finding ways to spend your time while you’re stuck at home! (Please note: since I’m in North America, most of these are most likely limited to America & Canada, but may work in other regions. If you have any suggestions for things outside of North America, please drop me a line and I’ll see if I can include them in this post!) This is going to be a fairly long post, so please bare with me!
Free, Legal anime you can watch!
No money for paid streaming subscriptions? No problem! I have a Master Post of free & legal old-school anime you can watch from various resources around the internet! Many of these places like Pluto TV & Tubi TV have PS4, tablet, and phone apps you can download as well, so you can watch them on your TV or on your preferred devices. Pluto TV also just recently launched a channel JUST for classic tokusatsu shows Ultraman and Kamen Rider, so definitely check that out if that interests you!! Viz.com also has a nice variety of anime to watch, old and new, including classic Sailor Moon!
Currently on Youtube, there’s some great free & legal anime you can watch as well, including the official English dub of Moomin, the official English dub of Anne of Green Gables, all of Revolutionary Girl Utena subbed or dubbed, all of Slayers & Slayers Next, Mashin Hero Wataru, Ghost in the Shell, and Sailor Moon R: The Movie dubbed! Many of these channels offer even more free & legal anime, so check out their playlists if you have time!
Free, Legal anime music to stream!
If you’re in the mood to listen to some official anime music soundtracks, then AniPlaylist is a HUGE help! With this website, you can look up what official anime soundtracks have been added to Spotify--not only that, but you can see what is available specifically by country! Links to the music will open directly in Spotify, and you can make your own anime playlists with your favorites with your Spotify account! Some of my favorites: Maison Ikkoku, Yu Yu Hakusho, Escaflowne, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and a HUGE selection from the Gundam franchise! There’s thousands of titles available, and it’s constantly updating, so you’ll find lots to chose from!
Free, Legal manga to read!
Looking for some manga? If you have a library card, you may have access to Hoopla--a free, online digital library of ebooks, audio books, music, and streaming media! While their manga selection is limited, you can read a few classic manga there free with your library card, including the classic 60s Batman Manga, Blade of the Imortal, and Lone Wolf & Cub.
You can also read select chapters of official Shueshia manga for free on Manga Plus (which is actually available in many countries, and in some cases multiple languages!), free first volumes to read at Manga Planet (may I suggest the classic Toward The Terra?), and free chapters/volumes at Comic Walker (in Japanese and English!), including Gundam The Origin! Website Yatta-Tatchi has a great comprehensive list of manga sites and what they offer as well if you’re looking for free vs purchase options, so check it out!
More anime/manga related goodies to check out!
If you’ve grown a little bored with the usual stuff, here’s a few misc. things you can try out! Avane has scans of vintage Sailor Moon & Utena anime coloring books that are easy to print up and color!
If you enjoy cooking, website YumPenguinSnacks is a site dedicated to replicating recipes from anime!
Anime Music Quiz is a site where you can basically play “Name That Tune” with anime songs! Challenge yourself, or play with friends online to see who can name the most!
If you want to read some great articles related to older anime fandom & otaku culture, there’s some great stuff online in Zimmerit’s archives!
And of course, if you like podcasts, you can always catch up with episodes of The Anime Nostalgia Podcast here! If you’re already caught up, might I recommend checking out a few lesser-known podcasts, such as CLAMPcast in Wonderland (where the hosts read through CLAMP’s entire manga catalog, starting from the very beginning...and they create recipes for CLAMP-themed drinks!), and Zannen Canada (a Canadian anime podcast, which periodically discusses the history of shows and fandom as released in Canada--which is often VERY different than how it was in America!)
I hope this post gives you a few new things to try out, and helps you take your mind off of stressful stuff for a little while! I spent a while gathering all of these resources, so if you found this useful you can always say thanks by tipping me a virtual coffee at my ko-fi account here! Take care, friends!

25 Ways To Save In College That Work
Let’s face it, most college students are flat out broke. Yet the temptation to live it up and blow through whatever money you do have is absolutely crazy.
I’ve been there. Hell, I practically lived there.
During my freshman year, I blew through most of my savings. It was so bad I really had to start getting serious and see where could I cut back so I could still enjoy going out with my friends occasionally. It was hard at first because I was so used to not thinking about how I was spending.
But saving is like a superpower once you realize it’s possible it becomes easier. You don’t have to fall into the broke college student stereotype! College is filled with tiny ways you can save that will save you thousands over the long hall.
Now if you’re like me you’ve probably read a few of these “10 easy ways to save” articles a million times and the advice can be pretty sketchy and not easy to implement in your life at all.
Well here are ways that I’ve actually used as a college student myself, to not only save but still have fun while doing it.
1. Shop at the dollar store
You would be surprised at what you can get at the dollar store! Everything from small personal care items to cleaning supplies. My favorite thing to do is to stack up on all the cheap snacks and host movie nights in my dorm room.
2. Share account access to streaming services
This was something my roommate and I did. We wanted to watch more shows that were not on Netflix so we decided that I would pay for Hulu and she would pay for HBO. Our dorm was the best place to be because just about every movie or tv show you could think of, yet neither of us had to foot the whole bill. So try sharing accounts with friends and family.
3. Stop buying books use your college library instead
For over two years now I've worked at my college library and it blows my mind that a lot of students don’t know that they can find textbooks at their college library.
Not only do professors sometimes submit copies of books to the library, but a lot of humanities textbooks are in the general collection! Always always check your library to see if they have a copy of your textbook before you start looking online.
4. Don't do unpaid internships/ apply for college funding
I have a secret. I’ve never done an unpaid internship (and I don’t plan to). Not only am I broke but it’s unethical to work for long hours without getting paid and not everyone can do that.
As a history major almost ALL internships are unpaid. I’ve gotten around that by applying for internship stipends through my college.
Almost all colleges have them, so if you get internship contact your school’s career center and ask about funding opportunities! You don’t have to use your own money and you really shouldn’t have to.
5. Unsubscribe to marketing emails
Yes, I’m looking at you with an inbox filled to the thousands filled with promotional emails.
Something I did this year when I was trying a no spend month was to unsubscribe from particularly tempting stores. It’s hard to focus on what you have and what’s important to you when you’re always being sold to. Do yourself the favor of cutting that shit out. Marketing emails are truly the devil.
6. Download coupon apps
This one is such an easy fix and yet so many people don’t do it! I use Honey for my online shopping purchases and I’ve never not saved on a purchase! For in-store shopping I use retailmenot to find coupon codes. These are such passive ways to save you’re losing money if you don’t use them.
7. Abandon your cart
This is a sneaky trick I learned by accident. Once I was looking for a backpack and I was browsing through and I added the bag to my cart but I was still on the fence of dishing out 60 dollars for a backpack. When I checked my email only to see the company sent an email to remind me of the bag in my cart and offered 30% off. I was blown away and ever since then I always abandon my cart to see what kind of deals companies give.
8. Use influencer codes/links
You really should be doing this. The people you follow should add value to your life and one way that can add value is to provide you with discount codes! If there’s a product you're interested in you might want to look up reviews of that product or just mentions and see if there are any influencers who have codes for that product. Not only do they get a commission but you get to see the product in action and then save on your purchase.
9. Pack your stuff well at the end of the year
If you live out of state (or even in-state to be honest! ) you can lose massive amounts of money at the end of the year by throwing out perfectly good items because you have nowhere to put them. To combat this start packing your stuff early like a week or two before moving out and strategically pack your stuff and put a protective covering over things that can be damaged easily.
There’s no reason for you to have to keep repurchasing the same items every time you move back into college.
10. Read the instruction on your clothing
This is something I recently started doing and it was an eye-opener. If you don’t do this you might not realize a lot of clothing have specialized care instruction and most time you just throw everything into the washer without looking to see what those care tips are.
If you’ve ever had a nice top that looked raggedy after you threw into the dryer then you might not realize that item was supposed to be air-dried. Save your self the time and money from constantly having to repurchase items due to improper care.

My first reaction to Disney +
Hello... It’s been a while since I have posted here. I had exams, then summer vacation and then I finally started college! So now that I’ve settled in I thought it would be fun to give you my thoughts on Disney+! Yes, you read that right! Disney+ is here... in the Netherlands. Exclusively. Disney is having a free trial here which started on September 12th and goes on until launch day on November 12th!
So let’s dive into Disney+
Interface & Features
The interface is pretty standard. It looks like Netflix, but obviously with a nice Disney touch! The home page looks really great in my opinion. On top, there is a header that showcases one movie per category (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic). You can browse per category as well. When you hover over the brand you get a little animation. Disney has a castle with fireworks, Pixar has the clouds, Marvel has their intro, Star Wars has stars and National Geographic a scenic mountain view. On the search page, you also have several collections like the Princess Collection (all princess movies and series) or Disneynature (all Disneynature movies). Hopefully, they’ll add some more soon. It’s a handy feature in my opinion. You can also create a watchlist.
I find the movie-watching experience great as well. It’s simple and sleek. You can choose from multiple languages for both audio and subtitles. It’s also really nice to have all the movies in HD. Some of them are even in 4K/HDR! These are mostly Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Live-Action movies and 2 animations (Ralph Breaks The Internet and Aladdin!).
There is an awesome feature that I stumbled upon while I was doing my research for this post. You can change the way the subtitles, from the color to the font. Even the opacity of the background and the font size! I did see some people complaining about subtitles. I didn’t mind them, however, the fact that Disney is truly listening to the users and trying to fix all these issues is great! Two thumbs up for ya Disney! The last thing I want to touch on here is the extras for the movies. These extras mostly include deleted scenes and trailers. However, some of them have some really cool behind the scenes stuff. The making of Beauty and The Beast, Staging The Ball from the Cinderella Live-action and the making of Sleeping Beauty just to name a few! Really great that all of those are on Disney+ as well.
Profiles
Just a quick little thing I wanted to touch on before I go to the content. You can choose from a significant number of Disney characters for your profile picture. Ranging from Disney Classics to Marvel & Star Wars to villains and princesses and even Disney Channel!
There are so many to choose from! It’s overwhelming. Here are just a few
Now it’s time for the most fun part: the content. All of the originals are not on the service yet, those will come out when Disney+ officially launches on November 12th.
Disney
What isn’t on this page?! The amount of content is so incredible. And not even everything is on it yet! Here you can find your classic Disney animations from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Ralph Breaks The Internet. All in glorious HD or even 4K sometimes. They also have some true Mickey Mouse classics like Steamboat Willie. All the Live-action movies are included here as well. From the more recent remakes (even Dumbo is on here already! If you haven’t seen it yet, please do) to absolute classics like The Princess Diaries, Mary Poppins and all the Pirates of The Caribbean movies. If you grew up with Disney Channel, all your favorite movies and shows can be found on Disney+ now! Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Camp Rock, The Cheetah Girls, That’s so Raven, Halloweentown, Descendants and so many more (all the seasons and sequels for everything). For the little ones, there’s some Disney Junior content, like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Pixar
All the Pixar animated classics are here. From Toy Story to The Incredibles 2. Hopefully Toy Story will be streaming soon too. If you love the Pixar shorts, you’ll be happy to hear that these are all on Disney+! Like Piper, Bao, Knick Knack, For The Birds and more. There are even shorts with characters from some of your favorite Pixar movies like Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Cars and Toy Story.
Marvel
I just want to thank Disney and Marvel for basically having all the MCU movies here on Disney+! From Iron Man to Captain Marvel. Most of them in 4K as well. And a surprise… Avengers Endgame will hit the service tomorrow!! I’m already preparing to cry my eyes out again. The only movies that are not on the service yet are The Incredible Hulk and Spider-Man Homecoming. I really hope Spidey will be on Disney+ as well. I need Far From Home in 4K. Besides MCU related content, you can also watch multiple Marvel animation shows. Like a lot of Spider-Man shows, Rocket and Groot, X-Men, Fantastic Four and many more. Some of the newer live-action Marvel shows are also on the service, like Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD.
Star Wars
Now for Star Wars. I started watching the movies back in the summer. Disney+ was not being tested yet. So I was excited that all of the entire Star Wars saga can be found here! From Episode I The Phantom Menace all the way to Episode VIII The Last Jedi. It’s been really great to have 1 place to watch these movies. You can find the spin-off movies Rogue One and Solo here too! You can also watch some animated shows like Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels and lots of Lego Star Wars shorts.
National Geographic
To be honest, I haven’t anything from Nat Geo yet. However, they do have a very exciting original coming tomorrow! However, they have Brain Games! I used to love that show, so I’ll definitely watch that. They have some amazing documentaries. Drain The Ocean, Titanic 20 years later and Free Solo just to name a few.
Disney+ originals at launch
Here is a list + some thoughts:
Star Wars: The Mandalorian (series) (trailers looked very good, so I’m excited for this) Lady and The Tramp (movie) (again trailers looked amazing, great cast as well! Really excited for this!) High School Musical The Musical The Series (series) (yes, that is the actual title, not sure about this one as a massive HSM fan, however, I will check it out) Encore! (series) (not really interested in this one, might watch it one day) The World According to Jeff Goldblum (series) (this is the nat geo original I was telling you about. Such a great idea, who doesn’t love Jeff?! Will watch this 100%) Noelle (movie) (a Christmas movie?! Yes please, I’m in full Christmas mode already so bring it on) Marvel Hero Project (series) (might watch at some point after I have watched all the other things I want to see first) The Imagineering Story (series) (as a huge Disney Parks fan, I might be most excited about this, so that will be the first thing I will watch tomorrow) Pixar In Real Life (series) (I didn’t even know about this until a week ago, looks like a lot of fun, so I will watch this for sure)
The Disney+ app
The app has been pretty solid. It basically works the same as the web version, it’s just on your phone or tablet. The app also has a download feature. Which means you can download anything on the service and watch it offline. How handy is that! If you have a chrome cast, the app is a must. You can cast all of the movies and shows on your TV, which is great because you won’t have to look on your small screen.
Some issues
This was obviously a test version of the final product so it wasn’t perfect from the get-go. The app struggled in the beginning with the continue watching feature. When you were watching a show, it didn’t let you watch the next episode from your continue watching. However, this has been fixed and now works like you would expect. The other big issue was the chrome cast compatibility. When I had just subscribed for the trial it would start normal, however, after a while, it would freeze and the image would get all distorted. So that was pretty annoying. Lots of people were having this issue and by magic, it was fixed a couple weeks later and now works as expected!
Is it worth it?
Now if you either love Disney, Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars or you love everything, yes it is worth it. Even if you just love Marvel and/or Star Wars, I feel like it’s worth it. You have The Mandalorian coming at launch and so many more in the years to come. Like Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, an Obi-Wan show, and so much more. So maybe if you’re waiting for that, you can get it when those shows will be on Disney+. Plus for the price, it’s a pretty sweet deal. Just €6.99 per month or €69.99 per year (which if you calculate it, can save you €13.89 per year). I love everything so for me it can’t get any better than this. Lots of the movies I watched on Netflix were mostly Disney or Marvel movies, so for me, this service is perfect.
Wow, this was a long one. If you have read it all the way through, thank you so much! I hope it was informative.
So how excited are you for Disney+? Will you be getting it at launch or will you wait? Plus if you are getting it, what will you watch first?
Have a magical day!
XO
