definitely Soul, by a long shot. I'm extremely biased towards him and most of the art I draw is related to or centered towards him (but it's probably not surprising that someone with the url tridentkickflipper123 has Soul as a favorite...)

my second favorite jashling to draw is Mind... which I admittedly have tons of fun drawing always. I find that sometimes I'll struggle to draw Soul in a way I like, but with Mind I'm content with how I draw him a majority of the time

and my least favorite (overall and to draw) is Heart. though really only comparatively to the other two; I still really really like Heart and I think about him often. honestly out of the three I think his songs make me feel the most amount of emotion (which is probably fitting haha)

Fluffvember prompt 8 - "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Link stretched, overlooking the terrain down below. He'd managed to get the young shadow warrior to Kakariko Village and let him rest for a few days. He was hoping that would be enough time, between the actual sleep and the food he'd been making to combat the gloom sickness plaguing the teenager. He'd never seen a case this bad, but he'd also never seen anyone possessed by gloom.

But it had been too long. He didn't like sitting in the same place. He had work to do, and he knew Ganondorf would be hunting for his kid.

Link had managed to get a little more information out of the teenager, but not much. Apparently, in the ancient past, he'd been taken in by Ganondorf and his family, had been engaged to Ganondorf's daughter. It was strange to even think the demon king could be capable of having a family. He tried to keep his opinion on the matter to himself, but it seemed his younger companion held very little love for the man anymore anyway.

Or, well... not overtly.

What mattered, in the end, was that they needed to move out. Neither of them wanted Ganondorf's minions to catch up to them or to attack the village.

Link noticed movement and saw his friend approaching. The kid was in new clothes now, having donned the Sheikah armor, hiding his pale face behind a mask, red eyes not quite looking so tired. He seemed to nearly have a bounce in his step as he looked around the village on his way to the hero.

When the shadow warrior noticed his scrutiny, he asked hesitantly, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Link smiled. "You look actually happy. I think that's the first time I've seen that."

Although the kid's face was half hidden, the way his eyebrows rose and cheeks puffed indicated he was smiling. "It's... nice to see my people still thriving after all these years."

"They're some of the best warriors in Hyrule, too," Link added, tilting his head to the side, voice warm. "I bet you'd make them proud."

The younger one's smile faded a hair, but he recovered, growing determined. "I'll make sure of it. We can start by destroying the Yiga."

Link barked out a laugh. "Well... we can eliminate ones on the way. They're not a huge threat."

His friend's serious tone dropped to something more exasperated as the teenager sighed heavily. "They really aren't."

Then the teenager clapped his hands together. "We should mess with them."

That got Link's curiosity. "Oh?"

"I can shapeshift," the teenager said, surprising Link. "It's old Sheikah magic. I can disguise myself as Ganondorf and completely throw them off."

Link hummed, thinking about it, chest bubbling with excitement. "Considering they've been trying to do the same for me with that fake Zelda nonsense..."

Although... that fake Zelda in the castle turned into gloom hands and phantoms. He doubted that was Yiga trickery. But they did do it once, and honestly... it would have been a lot funnier if it weren't for the horrifying reality of his dear friend's situation.

Link pushed the pain of that thought away, indulging the kid. "You know what, honestly, that sounds like a fantastic idea. We should tell them that they need to give up bananas."

The younger one's eyes widened as he slowly pulled down his mask. "That's genius."

Link laughed at the kid's absolute glee. He knew he had to continue his mission, but this... he could make time for this.

Anything to make the kid smile.

cross unconsciously falling in love with dream doesn't sound so fucked up (i am not letting this scene go), like i highly doubt cream WILL become canon -again- somehow but i totally see it working given the context (goddamn such a hardcore backstory it rocks istg)

said this already on one of my cream drawings here but the fact that cross saw dream as a light of hope in his life is so damn wholesome and i beg for them to be together, it literally will make cross' life way happier

it's very implied that all of the x gang do share their feelings so that's why cross says this specific line

and they are seen crying just after that

it may not be a strong feeling for them besides genuine happiness or relief and calm but cross being the one directly interacting with dream wouldn't make it so far-fetched for him to start feeling love

as much as I doubt a bloodborne 2 will ever happen and as much as a decent part of me doesn't want a Bloodborne 2 (FromSoft is just not all that good at sequelizing, methinks), I do have a wishlist of sorts for what I'd like to see from the game if it ever did happen

Different setting. Same time period! I want it to be known that this is the perfect tech level for this setting, but I don't think that Yharnam has any blood left in the carcass. I'd want to see what the Great Ones manifest as in different cultures, most notably the Wild West. Give me the fine line between the roar of a train's engine and and the lungs of a beast, between the tracks and veins of the land. Bloodborne already has a pretty strong theme of horror coming from the abuse of the vulnerable in. Well, you've played the game, you know. We'll just gesture vaguely to Mergo, Arianna, and The Nightmare of motherfucking Mensis. There's a lot to work with in an alternate direction, with the exploitation of workers for the sake of industry.

Gimme new secondary weapons that aren't guns. I'mma be real here with this one, I just want a left handed meat hook to get myself behind an enemy. I think that would be an interesting twist on a parry and reward you for getting in close.

Mobility. Hunters are sort of implied to be fidgety little whippets of fighters, let me run at or faster than Torrent's speed, and on top of that, let me clamber up buildings or cliffsides. No game has ever wanted a jump button more than Bloodborne, Hunters should be able to clamber up and over and dart around obstacles. Hell, Nightreign is a great prototype for such a thing.

More direct eldritch trappings. Look, I love Bloodborne's slow reveal that it's not actually Gothic Horror, I think that it was done masterfully well, I love the little breadcrumbs that let you piece it out if you were paying attention ahead of the reveals, a genre shift like that is one of my favorite things in fiction. But....well the eldritch cat's out of the bag, isn't it? We already know that this isn't gothic horror, that these beasts aren't just some kind of werewolf plague. Lean into the sea, let there be fossils of once great creatures in the desert, let me go under the damn water.

TRAIN HORROR

A character with a slightly more defined background. As much as I know Fromsoft RPGs tend to lean in the direction of complete blank slate, there is something to be said about a story about a character. Look at Sekiro, look at Lies of P. I think those stories are much more engaging on a personal level, because we're not just Nobody. And you're already not just nobody in Bloodborne! There's a very real implication with the Cainhurst Summons, that very frustratingly has nothing to it beyond the "wouldn't it be wild if". It doesn't have to be a lot, just like....give me SOMETHING
