“THE GREATEST SHOWMAN”
Way back in year 1800s, in a plain quite riot-free New Jersey area. There was a boy named P.T. Barnum who was looking in the mirror and thought when he looked down then he noticed that his right shoe was broken and looked in the mirror again and his father Wheeler Barnum saw him so he dragged him and said: Wheeler Barnum: “Let’s Go! They might miss the train”.
After that they went to the Hills Borough to visit a fancy house because they going to give a renolium. When father and son were inside the fancy house, Wheeler’s maid was fixing Boroz and his son was in his reach. Once P.T. Barnum was away from his father and P.T. notice that a beautiful girl named Jenny lind, Boroz Lind’s daughter, was drinking coffee. P.T. found away to imitate Jenny in drinking coffee so he did something silly and laughed and spilled the contents of Jenny’s coffee. Boroz heard and saw that so he bought Jenny closer to him and said: Boroz: “Is this how we’ve taught you to behave”. P.T. answered at the same time: P.T.: “It’s my fault sir. I maid her laugh”. Boroz thanked P.T. at the same time slapped a whip and said at the same time: Boroz: “Stay away from my daughter. Wheeler was just looking at the incident as if he was stunned.
After that, the two went away from the father and son. P.T. looked at his father who was about top cry. Then P.T. went to the river side alone and Jenny Lind followed him and sat next to him and said: Jenny: “How did you get out? Father is sending me to finishing school. I don’t know what my future will be”. P.T. said at the same time: P.T.: “I do”.
P.T. first led Jenny to the forest and went to an Abandoned Luxury house to show Jenny around.
A few days ago, Jenny was leaving to study abroad to finish her studies and P.T. was dreaming of achieving her goal in life, so she sent a letter to Jenny so that she should know every move she made. While they were exchanging letters with Jenny, P.T’s father was sick and weak and passed away at the same time P.T. was forced to steal food from the stores and the owner caught it so he was crying was taken away someone saw him and gave him something to eat.
P.T. thought a selling news paper to make money and he continued to give letters to Jenny.
Today twenty years later, P.T. Barnum will visit Jenny Lind at her house and say goodbye that he will take Jenny. The two got together at P.T. proposed to Jenny and got married. Jenny wants no matter how big or small the house is, as long as they are together as a family.
A few days later Jenny was pregnant. P.T. works in a letter company.
When P.T. got home he notice a leak in his roof so they fixed it and at the same time he saw his two daughters Helen and Charity playing on the roof. P.T. played with his son and after that he showed something to his children. While he was telling a story about it and at the same time saying happy birthday Charity and he continued to tell the story. Charity made a wish: Charity: “I wish to merry Santa Claus”. P.T. said: “That is a good wish”.
The next morning P.T. thought pf a way for his dream of his family to come true.
One day later P.T. surprised his family so he visited then and came to the point where P.T. showed his dream to his family. He was able to erect a museum named Barnum’s American Museum of Curiousities. The children inside that museum were amazed. P.T. introduced someone to his family Malley, a thief. They toured the inside of the museum to show his family.
One day P.T. Barnum offered to go to Barnum’s Museum to watch but no one accepted them. They just throw the papers they are given on the way. The Barnum’s family went home sad and tired but P.T. didn’t think of giving up so he thought going to the house where Charles lives.
P.T. introduced himself to Charles and he showed him something and said: P.T.: “I am putting together a show and I need a star”. Charles said: “You want people to laugh at me”. P.T. answered was: “well, they’re laughing anyway, kid. So, might as well get paid”. Charles turned it back again faced again with a smile.
P.T. went home and in the evening he wrote and print what was needed to work or perform at his Museum.
He spread what he did on the walls or on the trees so that someone could see who wanted to apply.
After that, a few days later, everyone who wanted to perform at Barnum’s Museum came.
One by one, everyone who wanted to perform introduced themselves, one of which is the tandem of Anne and W.D who are doing Trapeze. Next is Tattoo Man, a person who has many tattoos all over his body. The third is Dog Boy, a man wo jumps high and whose entire body is covered in hair. The Fourth is the Heaviest Man with a record of 750 pounds which is Heaviest than three bears. Next is Irish is the tallest man in Hill Borough. And when everything was over, P.T. printed it again and stuck it on the walls so that people would notice and influence them to visit Barnum’s Museum.
Many people went to the Barnum’s Museum and the performers were ready to perform. There is a performer who is shy so P.T. motivates that. Everyone performed inside the museum, the performers felt no nervousness and no fear, so they did it well.
When they finished performing, everyone inside applauded then they didn’t know that someone was watching criminal degrading which will promote their museum.
That night, Heaviest Man, W.D and the other performers got into a fight so P.T. took them away and let them inside.
After that they performed again one day to make money. So many people watched that the ticket sold out quickly. After all that, they raised a lot of money and interviewed Mr. Barnett’s P.T. who had just come from the Herald and told P.T. that: Mr. Barnett: “Doesn’t it bother you that everything your selling is fake? P.T. said? “It doesn’t matter where they come from. The joy is real”. Mr. Barnett immediately replied: “So you are a philanthropist”? P.T. answer was: “Well, hyperbole isn’t the worst crime. Men suffer more from imagining too little that too much”. That’s why he left and P.T. passed Mr. Barnett on his away.
Since then, P.T. Barnum has become famous. For his performers to be inside while the audience was interviewing them. The performers who wanted to go at couldn’t start it anymore because P.T. preventing it, that’s why everyone struggled so they went out. All the spectators were surprised by what they saw but they continued to go out. P.T. become greedy that he only wanted to be recognized by the audience, so P.T. followed where his performers went P.T. went to each house of his stage manager one by one to apologize for being greedy and pushing them away. He apologized to them and sent them back to Barnum’s Museum to perform and get know the audience.
After that, everyone agreed and they said that if it happed again, he would find someone else to fool him. Since them they able to perform again and the normal people’s threatment of them has improved.
The end.

Comfort (Part 1)
George Weasley x Reader, Draco Malfoy x Reader
Summary: George has always been there for you, and that doesn’t change when Draco breaks up with you. And you’ll need his comfort more than ever when it seems like your ex-boyfriend has moved on already. You’ll realize that maybe some chapters have to close so others can open.
Words: 995
You can find the other parts of this series here: Part 2
A sigh escaped your lips as your eyes wandered over your notes from Potions class, noticing today's date you had absentmindely scribbled down on the top of your parchment paper.
George looked up from his own notes at the sound of your voice in the otherwise quiet library where you had sat down to study together, and asked you with a small smirk, "You alright there, Y/N? Finally joining me in my desperation over Snape's Potion class?"
"Today it's been two months," You mumbled quietly, so stuck in your own thoughts that you didn't regard his initial question.  "Two months since-" You couldn't bring yourself to finish your sentence, and you didn't have to. George knew what you were on about, a small "oh." forming on his mouth.
"Two months since he-" He started, and you nodded softly.
"Since he broke up with me like I meant nothing after we had been together for almost a year? Yeah," You didn't mean to sound bitter, but there was a part of you that couldn't help it. The wound from your breakup with Draco wasn't fresh anymore, but it wasn't exactly healed either.
You were okay most days, able to distract yourself with the help of your best friends - the Weasley twins, and especially George, had been there for you nonstop - but some things still reminded you of him and brought back the pain. Even if it was something as silly as today's date.
"You know I'd be more than happy to make him vomit slugs or slip him a puking pastille for what he's done to you," George joked, knowing he could cheer you up this way, "You just have to say the word."
He accomplished what he wanted, as he could see a small smile forming on your lips again.
"And you know I appreciate the offer," You remarked fondly, "But it's fine, really. It's silly that I'm still bothered by it, honestly.
"It's not silly." George's voice was more earnest than before, "He's done wrong, Y/N. And you're allowed to feel hurt by that."
"You turning into Dumbledore with all that wisdom?" You couldn't help but tease, knowing that George would know that you appreciated his kind words nevertheless.
"Maybe," He replied back, that familiar gleam of goofiness back in his eyes, "You should feel lucky, normally I'd charge 5 galleons for this kind of profoundness. But you get this free sample since you're my best friend,"
"Thank you, truly." You responded sarcastically, mockingly bowing your head to him as a thankful gesture.
Looking back down on your notes in an effort to finally study, you caught a glimpse pf today's date again. A painful reminder of what had started this funny banter with George, and the smile that you just had disappeared again.
You hoped George hadn't noticed, but as he spoke up again you knew he did.
"We could go to Hogsmeade later," He suggested, trying to offer a distraction to you, "Fred and some others were actually talking about going, we could join them."
It didn't take long for you to think of your answer, knowing that a good time with your friends could be exactly what you needed today.
"Sounds good," You answered, "I'm in." And with that plan set, you could finally concentrate on the parchment paper in front of you.
It was late afternoon when you met just outside of Hogwarts with the others who wanted to go to Hogsmeade, and the sun was already beginning to set on this snowy winter day.
Ron, Hermione and Harry were tagging along, as well as Dean and Seamus that followed closely behind them. Fred and George were the last ones that arrived at your meeting point, the latter's Gryffindor scarf only loosely wrapped around his neck, seemingly thrown around it in a hurry. George came to a stop next to you, and your hands instinctively went up to pull his scarf closer around his neck protectively. He didn't mind your quiet gesture in the slightest, instead looking down at you with a soft smile. There had always been this sort of small intimacy between the two of you, even when you had been with Draco. It felt innocent, really. You never questioned it, as it was always something that came natural to you within your friendship with the red-head.
"Come on people let's go, we don't have all day." Fred remarked with a smirk and clapped his hands together, as if he and George hadn't been the last people to arrive.
As a group, you began to make your way down to Hogsmeade, you walking between Fred and George, as it had become a habit between the three of you. It was colder than you had expected, the freezing temperature creeping up your jacket and making you shiver.
It was only the slightest shake that ran up your back, but George noticed it anyway out of the corner of his eye. Without speaking a word he put his arm around your shoulder, and pulled you closer to his side. You felt your stomach flutter, but chose to blame that on the warmth that engulfed you. It certainly wasn't the sudden feeling of being this close to George that made you feel that way. It couldn't be.
He and you  spend the rest of the way listening to one of Fred's newest prank ideas, and for a moment you forgot the reason why you had needed a distraction in the first place.
That was until you arrived at Hogsmeade, and you saw him. There Draco was, stood in front of Honeydukes. You immediately spotted a familiar girl next to him, and your stomach turned at what you noticed next.

birthday- klaus hargreeves
ahh i've been away for so long i have a job now n i'm applying for a start into a degree (crazy,,) soo i wanted to write something small just to make up for me being away (plus it was just october first aka hargreeves day soooo)
y/n and klaus look out for each other on the streets, and though they don't have much, y/n is determined to make his best friends birthday special
tw - homelessness, poverty, hints at drug dealing/prostitution/drug addiction (this is set way back on klaus's 21's, he/they pronouns klaus and he/him pronoun reader but tbh you could read it as they/them or any other nonbinary pronoun because it doesn't go into detail on body, also i kind of wanted to give a backstory to the jacket sooo)
Tumblr media
——
y/n and klaus had known each other for over a year now. they were both out on the street, and they watched over each other. it didn't take long for them to get close, they were all each other really had out here, so when y/n realised that's klaus's birthday was coming up, he wanted to make it extra special. he knew how down the other got, he'd seen it last year, and really he couldn't blame them. this wasn't a situation anyone ever wanted to be in, and on special days like that, it all just felt even worse.
they didn't have much money, only what y/n made from busking, and what klaus made from whatever he did that he refused to tell y/n about no matter how many times he pleaded to know. still, y/n wanted to make today special for them, to show them that even out here, he still had someone who cared about him, no matter what. the challenging part was making up an excuse to get away to go and get everything he needed. they never really left each others side, except for when they both went off to make whatever money they could so they wouldn't have to starve, so y/n knew he had to be careful about how he did this, or klaus would know something was up.
"where are you off to?" klaus tilted their head a little as y/n grabbed his guitar case. y/n gave a small shrug and pointed to the case before he spoke up. "i'm gonna go busk, make us enough to eat" he hummed, but he could tell straight away klaus wasn't buying it. "we have way more than enough.. you've been going out even later than normal.. can't we just rest for a day?" he asked, reaching out to grab his friends hand.  y/n shrugged and gave klaus's hand a small squeeze. "i'll only be half an hour this time, i promise. i just wanna make sure we have enough in case something goes wrong. you know how cold it gets this time of year" he gave klaus a reassuring smile, and klaus sighed in response, pulling their hand back and giving a nod as he pulled his knees to his chest. "okay.. but you better not be out there all day, i miss you when you're gone so long.." they murmered, and y/n felt a pang of guilt in his chest. he hated seeing the person he cared about so much so sad, he just had to hope this surprise made up for it.
"i promise, i'll be back before you know it" he smiled, bending down to give klaus a small kiss on the forehead before he stood up again, slinging his guitar case over his shoulder and heading off, and if he'd been just a little bit slower, he wouldn't have missed the way klaus's whole face heated up from the small kiss. as he reached the bakery and walked in, he took a look at the cakes at the front. compared to what food they normally lived off, they seemed outrageously expensive, but y/n wanted today to be special, which is why he'd been working so hard to make so much extra money. after a few moments of browsing, y/n pulled out his wallet and pointed out which one he'd chosen, handing over the money to the cashier. it wasn't often that he and klaus had this much money, so it still felt odd to be paying so much for something, but seeing how happy it would make klaus would make it all worth it.
after he'd thanked the person at the counter, he took the cake in the paper bag they'd put it in to, and he headed off to the corner store to pick up some snacks for them to share, and candles for the cake, of course. by the time he'd finally returned, klaus was still in the same spot as before, he hadn't moved an inch, and y/n knew he was trying not to let it show how much today was getting to him. "what's in the bag?" he asked, and y/n shrugged again, putting it down with his guitar. "dinner" he hummed, wrapping his arms around klaus and pulling them close. "as much as i love sitting here with you, i need you to go do something" he started, and klaus groaned quietly, but nodded none the less. "what is it" they mumbled, looking up at y/n and moving a hand up to push some of his y/h/c hair put pf his face.
"i need you to go get me some cigarettes from that store down the street. they're only place round here that has the ones i like, and i got trespassed when i stole that time we hadn't gotten anything in days" he reached into his pocket to pull out a ten dollar bill, handing it to klaus. klaus gave another nod, taking the money and standing up. "fine, but you owe me" he gave a small smile, the first from them that y/n had seen that day, before he left, and y/n quickly began the work of setting everything up.
birthdays had never been something that were widely celebrated in the hargreeves household. when seven kids all shared the same birthday, it was too much effort for their parents to go to all that trouble, though grace had always made sure they each got their favourite things to eat for dinner, it was more than their father ever did for them. after dark, they would all get together to give each other something small, usually something odd and insignificant, but for all of them, it was the best part of it all. it was the only time they really got to feel like kids, and now that klaus was out here on the streets, they missed it. as they made their way to the store to get y/n the cigarettes he asked for, he thought back on those days, and he couldn't help but get emotional. they missed their family, but they couldn't go back. they knew that. not when he was like this, they'd all just agree to send him off to rehab, and klaus didn't even want to think about going through that, even if they really did need it. as he made his way back, cigarettes in hand, klaus sighed. it wasn't fair. they never wanted to be this way, but they were stuck now, and there was nothing he could do to get out.
while klaus had been out getting the cigarettes y/n asked for, y/n was frantically trying to set everything out before klaus got back, and when he heard approaching footsteps, his excitement began to skyrocket. he couldn't wait to see how klaus would react. "you know i think the owner's starting to get suspicious of me too.." klaus trailed off as he pushed past the door of their makeshift shelter, his eyes widening as he saw the cake lit with candles. "happy birthday" y/n smiled wide. "i know it's not much but, this is why i've been working so much more. i wanted to make today special for you-" he was cut off by klaus throwing their arms around him, hugging him with more force than y/m had ever felt. "it's perfect.. thank you" he whispered, pulling back to look at y/n, tears of happiness welling in his eyes. "there's one more thing, i saw it the other day, and i just knew you would love it" y/n reached under the pile of blankets that lay near their rollout mattresses and pulled out a wrapped present, handing it to klaus. the tears that had been building up finally began to roll down his cheeks as he took the package, holding it tightly. it was like being home again, everything they'd been missing so much, it was all right here.
y/n couldn't take the waiting anymore, he'd always been an impatient person, so he quickly began to urge klaus to just hurry up and open it. "c'mon, open it" he grinned, and klaus gave a laugh as they finally began to open the present. it was a jacket, a patchwork of browns, greys and blacks with a fur trim. "i love it" he looked down at the present for a moment before he lent in to hug y/n again, and y/n hugged back, gently pressing a kiss to the side of his head. "i saw how sad you were last year, and i didn't ever wanna see you that sad again" he spoke quietly, and klaus just nodded, the happy tears turning into a full on sobbing. even though they had so little, y/n still went out of his way to do all of this for him, and klaus knew they would never know what they did to be lucky enough to have him. "i love you so much" they whispered, pulling back to look up at y/n as he spoke back a soft "i love you too", reaching a hand up to stroke his cheek gently before they lent in and pressed their lips against his. y/n kissed back, and when the kiss finally broke he smiled against klaus's lips before he spoke quietly. "if you don't blow those candles out soon this whole place is gonna burn down"
klaus laughed, their laugh really was the most beautiful sound y/n had ever heard, and he watched as klaus leant down to blow out the big "21" candles. they didn't have much out here, it was dangerous and they both knew it always would be, but as they laid down on their mats (that they'd pushed together this time, so they could hold each other) later that night, they both knew as long as they always had each other, it would all be okay.

Yaku had a rough day, practice with the Japan National Team had exhausted him, he could barely walk to his shower to get off all the sweat from his body. He had been staying at the Japan's volleyball Association’s Dorms while he got arrangements done to stay in a more comfortable place. The cool water felt great against his sore body, they practically cleaned the gym floor that day doing drills and receives most of it. He was amazed to see that Hinata had gotten better at them and also was glad to see some old friends and known faces, he was also happy to see Kuroo again but he wasn’t going to tell him that out loud
He had a reputation to keep.
He closed the water and stepped out fresh, and feeling better, maybe not less tired but a bit more comfortable with his body. Yaku slipped on his pajamas and looked at his phone. The little LED had twinkled the whole afternoon, the color red immediately made him think that he must be out of battery and as he unlocked it he found your message. A smile grew in his lips. After his graduation you both had tried to keep contact. At the time you were still a second year but you got to be acquainted quickly. You had lived near each other, yet, you didn’t attend the same middle school it wasn’t like you an Yaku had talked too much, until you became a first year at Nekoma.
“I don’t know if you’ll see this before training but I wanted to show you this” and then showed a photo of the new samples you had prepared for your bio class. You worked as a teacher on a Junior High School, and had talked him about your plans on using plant samples to teach about the common tissues on them. He smiled at how proudly you had shown him the images from the microscope. He replied to you congratulating on the quality of them. He remembered how fascinating you found the world around and how happy you were on telling others about it. You had always rambled facts about animals, space, plants, the solar systems, name it you probably had a fun fact about it. It was that hunger for knowledge and the love of spreading it was what drawn him to you on first place. You were part of the science club. Professor Murakama, the bio teacher was in charge of your club, and Morisuke hadn’t talked with him outside from classes but Kuroo had insisted on him to help him getting some works they had delivered and he wanted a revision even though he almost got a perfect mark.
“Hello there!” he greeted them. He had lifted his safety glasses. And the small circle of students that surrounded him turned to them. Morisuke didn’t know most of the people there, since most of them were first years, but he waved at you. You returned it. Of course you knew Yaku, he had lived next to your house since forever but you had never actually been close. Kuroo got to the professor and he just stood awkwardly on the door frame as everyone returned to the working tables.
The professor muttered something to himself. As he checked on Kuroo’s worksheet. “Yaku, why don’t you join our experimentation while I go to the teacher’s lounge with Kuroo?” he asked him. “You can use my lab coat and safety glasses while you are at it.”
Morisuke put on the equipment as he reminded everyone to be mindful of the lab rules pasted on a cardboard on the wall behind Yaku. The students divided on partners and you sat on a work table alone.
“What is it (Y/LN)? Why aren’t you working with anybody?” Yaku asked as he sat down next to you.
“We are an odd number of students, so today is my turn to work alone.” He turned to see one of her classmates mouthing to her that he was sorry. “You are free if you only want to watch, since you don’t have rubber gloves.”
That day seemed so long ago, he had watched as she prepared the acidic solution in a beaker and added drops of phenolphthalein before adding a strong base and watched in awe how the liquid started to get a hot pink color.
“Wha- Whe- How?!” he had asked you.
Since then, it was history. He had sometimes went at lunch time to see how were you doing, being a first year was tough. And you sometimes met him at the cafeteria before getting back to your friends. Then he got your number and that’s when the rambling about random science facts became constant. He always had at least one image and a new fact, such as “Hey! Did you knew that elephants are the only species with 4 knees?” He always had a smile at that and he didn’t notice when he started to look at them with fondness until his teammates pointed it out. And then it happened, one day he just didn’t get the random fact of the day as you two had started to call it, by your second year, even he had started to send you those kind of things or whenever he found out about some new exhibit. His friend urged him to already ask you out as he clearly had signs of endorphin rush whenever they mentioned her or Talk saw her. Up to this day he never knew why he didn’t do it, even more when he got so concerned that you didn’t even saw his text, since you always answered quite fast. He walked outside of the VB team staff room and walked to the entrance alone. And he rose his gaze and you were there under a tree, with your head between your arms. He rushed at your side, without knowing what to do, he put his hand on your shoulder.
You shot your head up only to see his face. He looked as your face was tainted with tears.
“Hey, (Y/N),” his voice wavered. “What happened?”
You only cleaned your eyes with the corner pf ypur jumper. And used a napkin to clean your runny nose. “Nothing
I am fine, Morisuke.” You managed a constrained smile, he stood up and offered his hand.
“Come on, let me walk you home.” You took his hand.
That day you were supposed to tell your feelings to your crush. You had been harboring feelings for him since you met him on your first year and today, you (with Yaku’s help) had worked enough courage to tell him. You had crafted a love letter to cite him on your classroom and tell him there after school. He had also helped you (he almost did it all) to bake some small cookies to gift him.
There you stood with your crush in front of you, you had told him. You had done it, this is the moment where he accepts and-
“I like you, as a friend, your intelligence is quiet intimidating and I can’t see you as more than a friend because of it.”
Morisuke had heard your story, as you started to sob again. You were sitting on the sidewalk in front of your house as he took out a napkin and scooted near to you as you kept crying, his left arm grabbed you by the shoulder and he embraced you. Your violent breaths calmed and he let you go. His uniform now had moisted with what you called “nose tears” (“Morisuke! Did you knew that when you cry some of your tears go down on your nose and that’s why you have a runny nose every time you cry?”) but he could wash it later. Right now the only important thing was you.
“Morisuke, you are my friend, right?” He nodded. “is my-“
“No” he had answered right away.
“But you didn’t even let me finish” you pushed him with a playful manner.
“I knew what you where gonna ask and my answer is no.” He searched on the paper bag and handed you a chocolate filled bread. “I know your favorites are caramel ones, but right now you need something to raise your serotonin levels.” You took it and looked at him, you had sent him that fact when you had suggested to make the cookies. “Besides if he feels intimidated by something as petty as that, he doesn’t deserve a the time of day, he doesn’t deserve you.” He grumbled. You had stared at him wide eyed as his face started to get pink and bid you farewell as he slammed his house door. You smiled as you clenched the bread.
And then his graduation came. You had sneaked from cleaning duty thanks to your best friend (“Go get him, (Y/N)!”) He had also been encouraged by his friends this might be the last time he could tell you about his feelings. His family was throwing a small dinner and they had invited you since you had started to spend more and more time with Morisuke. His mom had made Stir-fried vegetables with other dishes. All his family gathered inside as you two talked on the same sidewalk, you both had been sharing some good old laughs.
You still held your stomach with your arms at Yakkun as he rubbed his leg after slapping it while he laughed. He had the sting of tears of laughing and of pain on leg, but he kept going. Until both of you had calmed and the small faint dread of bursting out laughing again came back.
“Ok, now in all seriousness, (Y/N)” he tried to regain his composure and you snorted at him as he bit his lip to suppress another laugh. “I have something to tell you- please breathe
slowly” His gaze was heavy with feigned disdain as he turned around to not laugh at your violent rapid breathing caused by another burst of laughs. You inhaled deeply trying to calm yourself.
“So?”
“Yeah,” he chuckled. “Have I told you the reason why I never accepted the two confessions I ever received?”
You gasped. You had been pestering him, one of your best friends into telling you but nothing had worked. “No! But please do tell me! I can’t believe it is finally happening!” you grinned at his question.
He breathed in slowly, as he started the word vomit, he saw your grin slowly disappear. As your eyes slowly went down. His heart his head started spinning. His face was becoming red, he wanted to turn back and get inside his home like that afternoon all those months ago. His whole being felt as if he had his guts stolen.
“And I didn’t worked up the courage up until now to tell you.” He sighed, for the first time, defeated. “I like you more than a friend, I-”
His eyes went wide when you hugged him by the neck and kept pressing pecks to his cheek. Then that hollowness became a party of elephants dancing on his gut. He finally turned to you, on your face shined the biggest smile you could manage.
“Yakkun, I was supposed to confess to you today, you stole my idea.” If he could have turned an even deeper shade of red he would have, he worked his hands up to your face and kissed your temple and smiled through his embarrassment.
Months passed by fast, as he had made the arrangements to move to Russia and play on the Super League. Lev had been helping him to make the contacts. You were currently on your third year, and whenever you could go home early you helped him studying Russian, you helped him craft flash cards and as you said the word in Japanese he answered always making a different grin. Much tp your laugh. You also helped him on his writing
you both sadly sucked at it. You tried to have non-study-dates-because-you-also-need-to-stop-worrying-about-me-and-school. Yakkun also helped whenever you found problem in a class
which wasn’t really often, but he was glad whenever you asked him for advice. Days after you got your college acceptance letter from college, he left Japan.
Yakkun had fallen asleep remembering the times you had stayed awake studying as he made you company over a video call or he had stayed awake after a particularly rough training just to have a “meal” with you.
His phone buzzed, once, twice, and the third time he picked it up. A pool of drool had formed under his face. He squinted his eyes at bright screen.
“(Y/N)?” he asked with a groan.
“Salutations, Mori!” over the speaker he heard the car engine.
“What is it?” He yawned as he stretched his arms and some of his joints cracked.
“I-” you hesitated before answering. “I found something really cool, I was wondering if you could join me.”
He rubbed his eyes, before turning to see his phone screen.
3:00 AM
He sighed with defeat. “Sure, just let me put a shirt on.”
You drived off, he took the copilot seat and dozed off yet again. You felt guilty of waking him in the middle of the night, but you had been waiting for this the whole week. Earlier you had called Kuroo just make sure the team had a free day before resuming their training. You side eyed him as how he curled on the seat breathing softly. The light of the city were getting behind as you approached your destination. The small lights of the highway and your car illuminated the way.
“Mori, we are here.” You gently shaked him. You were parked on a resting spot. In front it had a small hill covered with grass. The moon cleared the way. Mori had just woken up again and was getting out as you unloaded the trunk. You got some small snacks in a bag and a blanket.
“You woke me up at 3 AM
For this?” he was ired. And his expression showed clear dissatisfaction. “Listen, (Y/N) I know it is- Are you even listening?”
You had turned your face up and a teeth smile crept on your face. You lowered your face and moved your hand up so he could see. A meteor shower painted the sky as he looked up in awe and the it hit him, you had been mentioning this the whole week.
“You forgot, didn’t you?” He looked at you his face had softened as he approached you.
“I’m sorry (Y/N).” he murmured grabbing taking the bag. You turned your head side to side.
“You’ve been working to the bone lately.” You took a step nearer and cupped his face with your free hand. Your eyes locked with his soft gaze as he smiled fondly. His forehead rested on yours and then he pushed his lips to yours, your skin started to get goose bumps as you exhaled , you had been yearning for this.
“Did you know it was worth to get up at this time?”

Based on the episode today and possible plot for tmmr's stream tmmr >:)
"Why did no one come?!"
Poor Tommy had gotten excited about the idea of seeing his friends after weeks of only seeing Ghostbur and Dream but nobody had shown up, "Maybe...maybe they're just late?" Ghostbur suggests warily while slowly getting more blue.
After another 10 minutes of waiting, Tommy lets out a sad sigh, "They're not coming, lets just go home. I should've known they wouldn't want to visit me."
That night Tommy went to bed hungry and alone. Ghostbur, for the first time since he died, got angry and when Tommy went to sleep he set out to find the expected guests.
He first saw a lonely half enderman stranded in L'Manberg, "Ranboo! Why aren't you with Tommy and where is everyone?!"
"I thought Tommy was at the beach party so I didn't bother to go look. I hate water, it literally hurts me, so I obviously didn't go to a beach party. Everyone went through the normal nether portal."
"Thank you :), can you go stay with Tommy while I find everyone?"
"Sure! Let me go get some stuff ready"
And so Ghostbur went towards the original nether portal and travelled until he eventually found a newer portal. As soon as he entered he heard people but nobody was happy.
He travelled towards the beach area and found an obsidion sphere with Dream standing in front of it, "You were meant to go to Tommy's place so I could kill you all there in front of him but I guess making it seem like you had abandoned him will work too."
"Dream let them go!" Ghostbur shouts while flying over to the ball and tries to mine it, "You're hurting them!"
"Oh please, you've hurt them way more than I could ever hurt them."
"What are you talking about Dream? That was Alivebur, I'm Ghostbur!"
"Oh shut up about the whole Ghostbur thing! You're Wilbur whether you like it or not, you hurt everyone in this ball. You blew up L'Manberg. You caused Fundy to have no parents. You caused the split between Tommy and Tubbo. Everything is because of you!"
Wilbur's form starts shifting between normal Ghostbur and insane Wilbur before staying on insane Wilbur, "Dream what you don't understand is that I don't care! I lost the will to care when I lost everything! I know what that made me do and I would never want Tommy to feel like that! There was a reason I said that Tommy would never be president, I also know the chain of what happened to presidents pf L'Manberg. I saw what happened to my old best friend and predicted what would happen to him before it even happened. Tommy may be a gremlin and I may want to punch the little fucker but he is my little brother and I will not let a green bastard like you destroy the one thing that I gave him. A chance of a peaceful life with his best friend."
"Those disks-"
"THOSE DISKS WERE A GIFT FROM OUR MOTHER TO US!!! Tommy was only a baby when she died and so his only thing of hers is those disks. Those disks are an obsession to you all but to me, Tommy, Techno and Phil. Those are the the most important items in the SMP. You need therapy Dream, those disks are an addiction and you need to break from it."
"I CARE MORE ABOUT THOSE DISKS THAN YOU DO-"
"THAT'S BULLS*IT!!"
None of them noticed the two miners come out of the portal, one extremely tired and one scared. The tired one immediately hid behind the scared one after seeing Wilbur's new form.
Ranboo sneaks up to behind Dream and pulls out Death Spader before slamming it against Dream's head, knocking him out, "That was easy." He jokes before looking at Wilbur, "Ghostbur? You look different..."
Wilbur flies down to Ranboo and smiles sadly, "This is how I looked before I died. Dont be scared though, I'm still Ghostbur." He turns to look at Tommy and glide towards him while Ranboo starts to break open the sphere, "Tommy I know you're scared but the Wilbur you knew, he died. He's in Heaven with Sally in old L'Manberg."
Tommy backs up from him, "You blew up our home! Why would you do that?"
"I couldn't live there Tommy, I knew I wasn't stable enough to rule a nation so I had to find some way to keep me out of presidentcy. If I hadn't blown it up then you would've kept pestering me to keep being president so I blew it up then had Dad kill me."
"You could've left and go have a peaceful life."
"Everything inside me was wanting L'Manberg, I couldn't just leave. At least with me dead I can still watch over you amd part of me can be happy."
Ghostbur flies over to Fundy back at the broken sphere, "My son, are you hurt? Dream didn't hurt you did he?"
"No, Ghostbur, I'm fin- Woah! You've changed."
"Yeah, dont worry Im still good old Ghostbur."
After some apologies and adjustments to Wilbur's new look, everyone was happy to go to Tommy's exile location for the true party.
Dream woke up with a banging headache and chains around his wrists, "Hello Dream, remember me?"
"Schlatt?"

still the same
one-shot. felix x reader
genre: idol!Felix au, nonIdol!reader, fluff, bestfriend!au
words: 1.8k
warning(s): none
‱‱‱
After a day full of responsibilities, you slumped yourself on your comfy sofa and opened the tv. You smiled as you saw who's the one appearing on the tv. You almost forgot that it's Stray Kids comeback day. Your smile widens as you saw your bestfriend, your past love, Felix performing, he's really cool, you thought, compared to the Felix from several years ago, the Felix who stole your attention and your heart.
You were bestfriends since middle school. You love your bestfriend, you're sure. But as time passed by, the love that you felt for him isn't the one that can define the "love for a bestfriend", and it came to the conclusion that you want to be more than a bestfriend. Luckily, the feeling is mutual. You guys we're happy. Being the giddy high school sweethearts at your campus. Felix is quite popular in your school back then because of his cute and handsome persona, every girl can't resist his beauty and personality. But when you guys became a couple, everyone rooted for your relationship. Saying that you we're the "perfect couple" in your school.
But the time came when Felix told you he needs to go to Korea where his grandparents live. The reason? He got accepted as a trainee in an entertainment company. You know how Felix loved to dance. You're his number one fan. And being a good girlfriend and a bestfriend, you accepted your fate with him. You accepted that he need to end your relationship with him. But you promised each other that you'll stay as bestfriends like before. And that leads you to the present, being his number one fan and a dedicated stay to Stray Kids.
The members know you, pf course because of Felix. They also know your past relationship with him as his ex-girlfriend. You already went to their concerts every time it holds in Australia. You also met them personally. Maybe being a member's bestfriend and ex-girlfriend is a lucky thing for a fan like you.
Someone called you as your phone rang from the center table. You giggled as you saw the caller id.
"Hey, lixie. What's up? Your cute bestfriend missed you so much!" You answered his call
"Hey, y/n. I'm good. Missed you too! Anyways, how's office? Did you already watch our performance? Did you saw your bestfriend and his overflowing coolness and visuals?" You can hear the smugness coming out from his voice. You rolled your eyes and huffed at him.
"Work's okay and I'm home early but sorry for your poor ass cause Lee Know caught my attention." You laughed when you heard him grunt.
"Just kidding, your cool, okay. But I'm not lying when I said Lee Know caught my attention. His reddish orange hair really suits him. Urgh. He's so freaking handsome!" You said as you recalled their performance earlier
"Hey y/n! Thanks for the compliment! I know you'll like my overflowing visuals!" Your eyes widen as you heard Lee Know shouted from the other line.
"O-oh! Welcome Lee Know! You prick! Why did u put it on loudspeakers! I'll make you bald when we meet!" You felt shy as Lee Know heard your comments about him.
"Hey! I put it on loudspeakers when they knew you're the one who's calling. They just missed you, you know." Felix said. You smiled as you heard that.
Being a stay, you're used to these kind of things. Whenever you call Felix or him calling you, the boys always budge in and talk to you telling you that they missed you. You feel like you'll have a VIP ticket for being a bestfriend of one of the members.
"Hey, Lixie, are you at home? How's today?" You asked after the boys have a little chitchat with you.
"Hmm. We're at home now. Today's good. Glad we came back after six months. Feels good to perform again live after the tour. Hey, sorry I didn't get to go there last time. Don't worry, after our promotions, I'll go there and have my vacation there." You can now sense the little tiredness from his voice. But you can sense his eagerness to go there.
"Hmm. Don't worry about going here. Just focus on your comeback first. I can wait. Australia can wait you know. Just have enough rest and do good on your comeback and we'll root for it!" You cheered him up. You also missed him so much. You missed your bestfriend so much.
"Thanks, really. Y/n, you're really my energy booster. Anyways, I'm going to change and ready for bed. Missed you, love you! See you soonest!"
"Yeah, yeah. Rest now okay? Love you too!" You heard the dial tone linger on your ears as Felix end the call.
After you washed up and get ready to bed, you called Felix.
Several weeks after your call with Felix, you heard nothing from him. And you understand that since you witness how busy Stray Kids are. You can see how busy they were even though they already ended their comeback promotions. You, on the other hand, had to finish the remaining paperworks that your supervisor asked you to do. You lightheartedly finished it all off. Your friend, also your co-worker Alexa invited you to a coffee shop after work.
"Hey, y/n. Did you already saw their latest Instagram post?" She's pertaining to Stray Kids. Like you, Alexa is also a stay. You guys were not that close at first when you started working at the company you're currently working at. But one Stray Kids concert here in Australia leads you two in an inseparable friendship. She also knew about your relationship with her bias. Yes, Felix is her bias. She envied you for that. But no hard feelings. She's okay with it and happy.
"Hmm. What about it?" You said after taking a sip of your sweet Mocha drink.
"My gosh, Felix is the one who posted. He said that he's excited to go back here! What does that mean? He's going here! They're going here! Oh my gosh!" You froze at what she just said. But later realized that Felix really meant it. He's going to spend his vacation here.
"Oh really? Maybe he meant that." You said to yourself.
"Huh? What you say?" Alexa asked you.
"Uh, last time he said that after promotions he'll go here. I think he'll really go here." You said and drink again your Mocha.
"Hmm. Your bestfriend missed you that much, huh?" Alexa cooed and teased you. You just chuckled at her. You can't wait to see your bestfriend again.
"Lixieeee!" You rushed to him as soon as you saw him at the other side of the airport.
"Hmm, you called?" You got answered by a sleepy and groggy voice.
"Hey, sleepyhead. Sorry, you resting?" You asked
"Uhm, yeah. But not that deep. Why did you call?" You can hear shiftings from the other line as Felix sit down.
"Uh, I just want to clarify, if you're going here. My friend saw your post and she thought that maybe you're going here after your promotions. I just thought what you'd said to me the last time you called me." You said shyly.
"Uh, about that. Yep, I'm going there the day after tomorrow. Manager hyung said yes and I'm going there for one week. Hah! You missed me that much huh?" You can now hear the teasing in his voice. He's now wide awake.
"Urgh, yes, okay? It's because you didn't go here for a year! Hmp!" You said and you heard him chuckled at your mini tantrum.
"Okay, okay. I missed you too sunshine, just be ready when I go there, yeah?" He said and you nodded as if he can see it.
"Okay. See you in a few days!" You said and you heard him answered before you end the call.
"Hey, hey sunshine, I know you missed me but let me breathe first." You let go of him and said sorry.
"Sorry. Just excited." You said as you slightly tapped your feet in embarrassment. He just chuckled ad ruffled your hair.
"Okay. First, I'm hungry. Did you eat?" You shook your head and looked at him.
"Okay then, let's buy some foods first, and let's go to your apartment." He said as he carried his backpack and hold your hand. You can sense that there aren't many fans compared to times when all eight of them go here. You think it's just lucky for both of you. You can walk in peace with Felix having a good disguise with a hat and mask.
You guys are still the same. Nothing changed even if you had to split up from your relationship. You're still the same y/n, the same Felix that are bestfriends that are meant to stay forever.
"So, how's the trip, Lixie? Did anyone recognize you?" You started a talk while eating.
"Yeah, but only one. She's a little girl. And I got carried away and let her take a picture with me. She's just so cute. Besides that, nothing else happened. It was peaceful, luckily." He said as he munched some foods.
"Good for you. I missed the guys. Where did they spend their vacation?" You asked about the others.
"Uhm, Changbin hyung and Hyunjin stayed at the dorm. Seungmin went to his parents, Lee Know hyung went to his hometown with Jisung, while Channie hyung is with Jeongin in Busan. Ah! They asked me to give you these. Wait here." You nod at him as he went to his room and grabbed the gifts from the members. You gasped as you saw the gifts from them.
"Wooow, they're so thoughtful! I'm gonna cry." You said as you wiped the invisible tear from your eye. Felix chuckled at your action and grabbed a box from the gifts.
"Hey, this is from Lee Know hyung, he said, you should try these products. He said that it will also suit you the hair color he had when we promoted." He handed you the box which is a set of hair products. You laughed at Lee Know's cleverness.
"Lee Know's crazy. Anyways please send them my big thanks for these! I really missed those guys! Can't wait to see them again." You said as you still check the other gifts.
"More than you missed me? Ouch, now I'm hurt." He said and dramatically hold his chest. You just throw a small box at him and laughed.
"You and your dramatic ass. How many times will I have to tell you that I missed you? " you said. He just chuckled and pinched your cheeks hard. You shriek and wriggled your face out of his touch.
"You're still the same y/n. can't stand my pinches. Hah!" He mocked and stuck his tongue out.
"And you're also the same. The same dramatic and meme-faced Lee Felix." you also stuck your tongue out at him.

Tobio Kageyama x F!reader Word count ~ 1977 Genre ~ Fuff - SFW Happy birthday @sunkissedautumn sorry that it’s a few days late!  This my first time writing Kags so we shall see how it goes!
Tumblr media
Kageyama stood in the hall way stiff as a board with nerves, a light  blush covering his cheeks as he stared at the beautiful petit girl in front of him, he rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from her, thrusting his other hand out to her that held a teal, her favourite colour, bag, “happy birthday,” he mumbled  to her.
The h/c girl, allowed her own blush to cover her cheeks as she gently took the bag from his finger, “thank you,” her own voice quiet and shy, the pair both liked one another but neither of them acted on their feelings. They had been friends since the first day of high school, he had bumped into her on his way to class, if he hadn’t caught her, she would have fallen to the floor. Kageyama apologised profusely to her and since they have been friends.
She opened the bag and squealed, inside was the cutest plushie of a penguin, a keychain also a little penguin, she pulled out the card from within the bag, opening the envelope, she smiled at the card, there were two hand drawn little penguins hugging each with Happy Birthday written in bubble writing, she opened the card to find two tickets to aquarium. Looking up at threw her eyelash to meet Kageyama dark eyes, she bit her lip.
“You, umm, you can take anyone you like, it doesn’t have to be me-”
“I want to go with you,” She quickly cut him off, her blush spreading across her cheeks to her ears and down her neck as her words spilled from her lips, his own blush grew deeper as Kageyama nodded giving her a small smile. “So, umm, Saturday? At ten?”
“I’ll pick you up from yours,” He replied, nodding placing a hand on her head giving it a gentle pat, making sure to not mess up her hair that was half tied back in a braid.
Reaching up on her tiptoes, the girl, placed a quick gentle peck on his left cheek “Thank you for my presents, I'll see you later.” She quickly turned on her heels and headed to her classroom, hopping he didn’t see how deep red her blush had become.
“So, did she like them?” The ball of energy known as Karasuno’s middle blocker suddenly appeared next to Kageyama after the girl had rushed off towards her classroom, his fingers were pressed against the spot where her lips lingered for a second. “Oi? Kageyama?”
“Huh? What did you say Hinata?” The shorter ginger boy’s eyes widen at the fact that Kageyama didn’t snap at him, he knew why, smirking he replied, “She like the presents then.”
Whipping his sweaty hands on the fabric of his black jeans before he knocked on the door to Y/n house. He had been here loads of times, for movie days to studying together but for some reason it felt different this time. This time he was picking her up and it was just going to be the pair of them, no one else, usually when they went out it would be with the rest of their friends such as Yachi, Hinata, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. He stood there waiting for the door to open, it felt like eternity, but she finally opened the door, there she stood in a doorway, wearing a boat neckline baby blue jumper, that was tucked into a black skater skirt, little tanned ballet pumps. She looked beautiful with her gently curled, she had put on a light layer of make up only marasca and a little eye shadow that matched her jumper.
Y/n gently twirled her toes against the floor of the entry way pf her house. “Hi Kags,” She mumbled, y/n hands were gentle clasped behind her back. “Hi, S/n, ready to go?” The h/c girl smiled, grabbing a jacket and her purse.  The pair walked along toward the station, the two nervously both walked silently next to one another, both wondering what they should talk about, they had often spent time together alone, but both of them felt like it was so different this time, they weren’t even sure if you could class it as a date but it felt like it was a date the pair had taken forever to choose their outfits, to the point Y/n had called Kiyoko, even though she had graduated two years prior she was still close to the ex-Karasuno manager.
Kageyama had done just the same, he had begun with Hinata who wasn’t much help, he also tried Tsukki and Yamaguchi, Yams being a little more helpful but Tsukki’s constant comments just made the matter more complicated. In the end he called Suga, who happened to be with Daichi and Asahi, of course Asahi jumped at the chance to help the boy dress appropriately.
It was their seniors that put the idea in their heads that this was a date.
“No, Kageyama! You can’t wear that on a date! Haven't you been crushing on this girl for the past three years.” Asahi grumbled, Kageyama could hear the former setter and captain laughing in the background. “Your nice black jeans you got last time you were in Tokyo with us, and the blue shirt I made buy. Yes, wear them, oh and do no wear trainers, you need to wear something comfy but not trainers.”
“Y/n! You have to wear that black skater skirt; it hugs the curves of your waist nicely and pair it with your baby blue boat neck jumper.” Kiyoko smiled through the phone at the third-year manager who she recruited all those years ago, Tanaka appeared behind his girlfriend, planting a kiss on her cheek before saying; “Kiyoko is right that will suit you perfectly and make that boy drool for ya! Have fun on ya date!” Those final words cause the blush to explode over her cheeks and her eyes widen, before she could stutter out it wasn’t a date Tanaka had already hung up.
The pair kept taking sly glances at one another, sometimes their eyes meeting, causing them both to look away quickly. Biting her lip, Y/n sighed though her nose, her lips parting to speak, but Kageyama words slipped out first, “So I was thinking we could look around the mall first, get some lunch before going to the aquarium?”
“Sure!” Cringing at the sound of her own enthusiastic voice, thinking it was maybe to enthusiastic. Kageyama eyes widen at how cute she looked when she cringed. “Cute,” He mumbled chewing at the inside of his cheek.
Y/n head flicked towards him, swearing she heard him say cute, yet it was so quiet and with the buzz of the people and the traffic of the street she barely heard him, so she couldn’t be sure, “Did you say something?” peering up at him, eyes burning with curiosity.
“N-no,” he stuttered out, praying she didn’t actually hear him. They finally arrived at the mall, Y/n spotted the cute little stationary store, squealing she grabbed his hand dragging him in the direction of said store. It wasn’t until Y/n lift her hand to pick up one of the notebooks did she notice they were still holding hands. “O-oh I’m sorry.” She quickly let go, blushing.
“It’s okay, I, umm, liked it.” He replied as he bit his lip, this may not be a date but Kageyama would be damn if he left today without telling her how he felt. “You did?” He nodded giving a small smile.
Fuck it she thought, it’s been three years I should tell him how I feel, she peered up at him “Me too, so, um, want to, um,”
“Y-yea I w-would.” He strutted out reaching his hand out to take her hand, Y/n thinking the same causing their hands to bump into one another's rather harshly. Both turning their heads away bashfully before laughing slightly. Kageyama reached out for her hand again, slipping his fingers between her, the blush on his face seeming to never disappear since the day started it. “So, s-shall we continue?”
Y/n smiled up at him, giving him a nod, the pair left the stationary shop and continued to wander around the substantial shopping centre window shopping ever now and again either one of them would want to go into a shop, Y/n did laugh when Kageyama dragged her into the sports shop and was fussing over the latest range of volleyball shoes. She found his passion for volleyball admirable and quite adorable.
Midday rolled around and the pair made there way to the food court, Y/n somehow managed to talk Kageyama into dropping his heathy diet for today and convinced him it was a burger and fries' time. They pair squabbled over who was paying, “No, S/n, this is your birthday treat you are not paying for a thing.” He nudged her shoulder while his smiling down at her. “So, what do you want? Tell me then go find us a table yea?”
Grumbling under breath, “Fine, I’ll have a double cheeseburger meal with chocolate milkshake, thank you.” She gave his hand a squeeze before slipping her fingers out from between his. He nodded with a smile and gave her a gentle push towards the seating area. Pulling out her phone for the first time that day she had seen the third year volleyballers group chat had exploded with constant question of how hers and Kageyama’s day was going.
From: Y/n   To: The boys and Yachi  12:16pm  Sorry guys, we just stopped for food we are having fun so far.
She replied quickly before slipping her phone back into her pocket looking up to see where Kageyama was at, noticing that we was walking her way with a tray containing the food in his hands. He placed the tray down on the table before taking a seat opposite her. Thanking him she grabbed her burger and fries before the pair started to munch happily on the food, she couldn’t help the small giggle to slip past her lips as she saw the look of pure happiness spread over his face as he took his first bite of his burger. “When was the last time you had a burger?”
“To be honest I cannot remember the last time I got a burger.” He shrugged continuing to scoff it down.
They made their way to the aquarium, their hands slipping into one another naturally. Showing the tickets at the front desk they entered the first hallway which was filled with different types of corral and sea anemones, Y/n’s hand slipped from Kageyama’s as she giddily walked to the windows to peer in as Kageyama followed after her. He loved how happy she was looking at the different creatures.
When they finally made it to the penguins, Y/n was struggling to contain her excited, “Kageyama! Look they are so cute!” Her voice filled with pure excitement as she wrapped her arms around one of his as she giggled.
“Hey, um, Y/n?” Y/n head moved so quickly to look at him, Kageyama was sure she would have whiplash, she looked like a fish out of water with the way she was gaping at him.
“You... You called me by my first name” She gasped at him,
“Well it is your name.” He smirked at her, “I wanted to ask you something.” She nodded motioning him to continue. Kageyama bit his lip taking a deep breath. “Will you be my penguin?
Her eyes widen at his words, before a face splitting smile crossed her face. “I would love to be your penguin, if you will be mine, Tobio?”
Wrapping his around her shoulders pulling her into his side, he buried his nose in Y/n’s h/c hair with a gentle smile on his face. “There’s no one else I would allow to call me a penguin.”

Okay, so I actual don’t write angst scenarios (bc I’m a baby and I am way to emotional invested in my own writing orz) and THAT is why this could have been WAY angstier than it is right now and I know out there are literal ANGST MASTERS who probably would have done way better with this request than me, b-but
 Even though it is not THAT angsty(some of you guys are probably like, pf, angst? Have you seen angst before, Celine? This is puppies and rainbows compared to some real angst; and I know... I am just rly bad with angst so it is rather... a little drama and then happy end? XD); Though, I was super happy I could write for my owl son Bokuto; I am just bad at refusing a request and I actually quite liked the idea, actually; ugh I hate letting you guys down, sorry anon, but I hope you can still enjoy it a little ;A;
----
No. No please. This couldn’t be happening right now. Looking at the pregnancy test between your fingers you started shaking, trying hard to not start crying. How could this have happened, you were always using a condom, since most of the birth control pills you took affected you negatively.
Reality hit you, it probably broke a few weeks ago, that was the only logical explanation, but this
this was not the right timing. You were only 20 and your boyfriend had a very promising volleyball career he had been working on ever since you knew him.
Right now, you were glad that Bokuto was at a meeting with his team, because you couldn’t help but cry, however you also made a decision, a decision that would be hard, but would save his career, because you didn’t want to be the one ending everything for him.
You knew Bokuto, he would take responsibility, he would be there for you and that is exactly why you wouldn’t tell him, because you wanted him to chase after his dream and not be worried about you and your child.
....
“You’re acting weird, F/N
”, Bokuto’s curious golden eyes were examining you. You jumped a little. “What? No, Kou, you are only imagining things, I guess I am just tired.” You tried your hardest to distract him with something else, talking about how his training was going. It had been two weeks since you found out you were pregnant and slowly you knew it was showing that somebody was growing inside you. You couldn’t run away any longer, today it had to be done. Just hearing how excited your boyfriend was, hooting like a little kid who got a candy he was talking about how he felt spiking the ball, having a professional team behind his back. You only laughed, you liked hearing him this excited and it made everything a little bit easier.
At night, when Koutarou was sleeping soundly beside you, you gave him one last kiss, his cute little snort making your eyes all watery. “I love you, Kou, so much, please forgive me for being selfish.”, whispering you combed through his freshly washed hair, before you carefully removed his arms around you, not waking him up.
You kissed the envelope one last time, a tear dripping down on the paper, before putting it down on the kitchen table so your boyfriend, no, ex-boyfriend, could see it when he would wake up in the morning- thank god not even an apocalypse could wake this man. Wiping away your tears, you took your car keys, since you had packed your suitcase yesterday, knowing that today would be the day, and you hid it inside your trunk, only taking the things that were most precious to you and you needed for a new start.
Looking back one last time you rested your hand on your growing belly, softly stroking it, whispering, “I’m sorry you won’t meet your Daddy, but I’ll make sure to tell you about him, I promise little one.” Turning away, you started your car, leaving your current life behind.

The next morning, Bokuto was waking up, but you were not in his arms, which was a very rare occasion. No, rather, your bedside was cold as if you hadn’t even been sleeping here tonight and soon, the worry hit him. You had been acting weird the last couple of days, he could see and feel it, so this worried him. Quickly jumping out of bed he rushed through your apartment, opening every door, calling out your name with his typical boisterous voice. “Where are you, F/N?!”, he bit his bottom lip when he entered the kitchen, searching for you, but you were nowhere to be found.
When he saw the envelope he could feel his stomach turning. This was not true, right? This was just a letter, you were probably just shopping, right? He didn’t have to worry, right? He was this close to falling into one of his depressive states, before even reading the letter, so he tried his best to get it together, as he reached for the envelope, opening it and reading what you had left him.
Dear Koutarou!
I know, when you read this you probably know what is going on but are in denial.
I am sorry, I never thought I would one day have to write a letter like this to you. Kou
I am gone. Please don’t look after me, you won’t find me.
It’s childish, right? I couldn’t even be adult enough to talk about it face to face with you, because I knew you would have tried to stop me and me being weak when it comes to you, I probably would have given it. But Koutarou, I had to make this decision.
I know you probably overthink everything, now. If you did anything wrong, but let me tell you – no. You did nothing wrong, you were always there for me, I had so much fun being with you and I felt loved and I loved you too, Kou, there is no one on this planet I love more than you, please don’t think this was easy for me, but some decisions in life hurt us deeply, this is one of them.
Kou, please don’t think about me too much, concentrate on your career, I want to see you on TV, so don’t ever give up. Be happy again, find someone who can make you truly happy.
In love, F/N
His knees were weak, his legs shaking, gripping the letter tightly some tears made their way down his cheek. “But, F/N
no one can make me happier than you
” and that’s when he broke down on the kitchen floor – sobbing.
Of course Koutarou tried calling you, but you had changed your number and even though you said not to search for you, he tried, he tried to find you, but you were gone, like you said.

.
Months went by and one hot summer afternoon a scream echoed through the hospital room. You had a lovely little baby girl, naming her Natsuki and she had the same sparkling gold eyes as her father, well
to be honest, the only thing she had from you was her cute little nose and the shape of her eyes, everything else was Bokuto – and it hurt. But it also made you happy.
Years went by and you tried dating, but no one ever made you as happy as him, so after four dating fails, you decided to stay single for a while, dedicating all your love to your little Natsuki and whenever her Dad would be seen on TV you made sure to tell her; you wanted her to know and whenever she would ask why Bokuto was not with you two, you just told her, “I’ll tell you when you are older, Natsu, I promise.”
Bokuto himself also tried to go on with his life. Even though it was hard, he knew there was nothing he could have done to prevent this, you made your decision to leave him and he had to accept it. At the beginning he felt a lot of hate towards himself and it affected his performance, however he made sure to not let this chance of being on the national team slip, so he got himself together again, thinking “Watch me, F/N!”

..
It was pure coincidence. His team came back from China and they all finally deserved a holiday after fighting with everything they had, getting them the silver medal. He was alone when he traveled all the way south to Okinawa-Islands. He needed to just do nothing for once, so this was perfect, however he didn’t think this would happen.
It was the third day after his arrival, he was just walking alongside the road, the beautiful ocean sparkling in the background, when he heard something. It was a laughter he hadn’t heard in over 7 years. Wait, this couldn’t be it, right? Ah, but there it was again and this time, there was also your voice, “Natsu! Don’t run, you’ll trip!”
On the other side of the road, there you were, a grocery bag in your hand, the other covering your mouth a little. “F/N.”, it was not really loud, but it was enough for you to halt for a second and look to the other side and there he was. “Kou
”, the bag of groceries fell out of your hand, your eyes wide, he still looked like before, only a little bit more mature. “Mommy, what is it?”, Natsu grabbed your hand, concern in her golden eyes, before she also looked across the road, curious as to what you were looking at, or better who you were looking at

Natsuki had seen her father multiple times on TV, giving interviews and playing on the court, so when she saw him, it was crystal clear to her, that this right here, this was her father. Her face lit up and even though she was a very well behaved and raised child, right now she just sprinted full force over the road, without thinking or looking. “DADDY!!!”, screaming, she didn’t see or hear the car coming down the road.
Bokuto couldn’t believe it, there was a little girl by your side calling you mother and she looked
so much like him. So, you were pregnant? You had raised a child all on your own these past 7 years. Why? Why didn’t you say anything, he would have taken responsibility. Shocked, he couldn’t move at all when the little girl screamed, her arms wide open, running towards him, when he suddenly heard a car and as he slowly turned his head, it started honking and a terrible squeaking sound was heard from the friction of the stopping wheels on the road, your scream in the distance, “NATSU?!?!”
Thankfully his legs were reacting way faster than his brain was, because if he would have waited any second longer
He started dashing too, grabbing the little girl under her arms and only centimeters away from hitting the side mirror of the car, he wrapped his arms around her, stumbling to the other side of the road, before completely falling down on his knees, kneeling in front of you know.
You were shocked, your knees were weak and you thought your heart was about to stop beating. Tears were trickling down your cheek, you thought that was it. When the car came to a halt, the driver screamed through the open window, before driving off again, but you couldn’t care any less, right here, right now, your daughter was save and the one who saved her was no other than her father himself.
Bokuto was the first to react, he rose from his position, now standing in front of you, Natsuki clawing at him like her life depended on it, she was clearly shocked too and before anyone could have said something Bokuto was raising his arm and only a second later he also pressed you against his chest. “Kou
” You didn’t want to, but you couldn’t hold back and started sobbing, clawing at his shirt, the other hand holding onto your daughter’s hand, gripping it tightly.
Natsuki looked up, tears streaming down her face, before she reached out to touch Koutarou’s cheek, making him jump a little before turning his head to look at her and even though she was crying, she had the most radiant smile on her lips that he had ever seen. “You are finally here, Daddy
”, before breaking down completely, crying and sobbing, she buried her head into his chest.
Bokuto was almost crying himself, all those years, he never knew about his little family, but now that he held you both in his arms, he knew one thing for sure, “Yeah
and I’m never leaving again, little owl!”, because he would never, ever let you go, not after finally having you in his arms again.

A Journey To Find True Love
Tumblr media
We start off with Archie as the bachelor, Ronnie is in his season. The story progresses, and she becomes the next bachelorette after he finishes his season. Both of them go on their journey to find true love.
I will be writing this AU in the form of a tv show. Since, we all know that “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are reality tv shows.
Previously on “The Bachelor”
Archie and the remaining women had fun at the Riverdale Performing Arts Center for their group date
Betty told a sweet story about wanting to be a writer
 Cheryl’s bold move surprised everyone
But it was Ronnie who really caught his eye after a deep conversation about her home life
Ronnie got the group date rose
Ethel got the first one-on-one date with Archie, opening up about a trauma in her life as well
And Archie gave her a rose, after seeing her kind heart
Midge and Melody got sent home at the rose ceremony.
Cheryl, Ronnie, Ethel, Betty, Josie, and Valerie remain.
Who will win Archie’s final rose?
 Okay. Without further ado,
 Buckle up, buckaroos!!!
Week Three.
(setting: Bachelor Mansion, in SINGAPORE! Living room. Ethel, Josie, Cheryl, and Valerie are sitting on the couches. Betty and Ronnie were laying down on the carpet next to each other.)
“It kinda sucks that Midge went home. I really liked her,”  Ethel said.
“She was pretty cool,” Josie said in agreement.
“Quiet peasants, there was a knock on the door. I think it’s a date card. Valerie go check,” Cheryl said.
Valerie rolled her eyes as she got up, walked over to the door and picked up the date card.
She instantly got choked up. “It’s....a one-on-one.”
All the women gasped in unison and ran towards her.
        (setting: Confessional Booth)
“I know I told Archie that I wanted to take this relationship slow. But I didn’t mean it as like, oh hey let me give other girls attention except you. You know what I mean?” Valerie said, and sighed. “I don’t know. I just don’t want to feel like I’m falling behind. I know he’s already developing a really strong connection with Veronica, Josie, and the others.”
She tucked some of her hair behind her ear, as she looked down. “When I saw the name on that date card. I just....I lost it. This is so discouraging because, he is literally getting distracted by all these shiny objects. I’m starting to think that all he really wants is a fucking trophy wife. Someone who is shallow as hell, and has NO depth whatsoever.”
(setting: Bachelor Mansion. Living room)
“Who is it?” Betty asked, giggling.
              “Tell us!” Ronnie said cheerfully.
Valerie did her best to hold herself together.
She took a deep breath. “Cheryl.”
                 Cheryl screamed.
“Awww, congrats girl! Hope you guys have fun,” Josie said, hugging her.
“Oh we will! What am I going to wear? Oh my gosh I need find my favorite red heels,” Cheryl said, running up the stairs.
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“Cheryl got the one-on-one. I hope they have a good time,” Ethel said. She smiled. “Oh geez, I’m sorry, I can’t say that with a straight face” she laughed.
“Cheryl just seems like the type of girl who gets what she wants all the time. And that makes me nervous because I really like Archie a lot. But I guess I just, have to trust him.”
(setting: Outside Bachelor Mansion)
“Hi!” Cheryl said, running towards Archie, tackling him with a hug.
“Hey Cheryl!” He said, picking her up. “How are you?”
           “I’m good! How are you?”
“Good,” Archie began. “So, listen. Don’t freak out. But I did a little bit of lurking on your Instagram profile.”
“Why would I freak out?” Cheryl gushed. “I’m flattered.”
Archie grinned. “I’m glad. So, I found out a few things about you” he said, twirling her around and hugging her from behind. “Some of them were things I already knew. One, that you take the color red very seriously-”
“I am red,” Cheryl giggled. “Sorry, continue.”
“It’s all good. Two, you live near these really beautiful mountains.”
      “Also correct.”
“Three, that you look absolutely gorgeous in every selfie.”
     Cheryl giggled, “Proceed.”
“And lastly, that you love to shop until you drop.”
Cheryl raised her eyebrows. “I’m impressed.”
“So today,” Archie said, taking her hand, leading her to the limo. “I realized that there’s nobody else I’d rather spoil today, except you.”
“Awwww Archie,” Cheryl swooned. “You are such a gentleman.”
“What do you say we get out of here and go shop?”
    “I say, let’s do this!”
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“I was outside having some coffee,” Ronnie said. “And I couldn’t help but overhear Archie and Cheryl’s conversation. He’s taking her shopping?!”
(setting: Bachelor Mansion. Kitchen. Betty was making pancakes. Josie, Ethel, and Valerie were sitting at the table, waiting for Betty to finish to all have breakfast together.)
Ronnie entered the room. “So, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. But...”
“Oh gosh,” Josie began. “Spill it, girl.”
“He’s taking her SHOPPING,” Ronnie said.
Ethel almost choked on her coffee. “Oh my goodness. That is so...”
“It speaks volumes. Doesn’t it?” Ronnie laughed.
Betty turned around. “I mean,” she began, flipping the spatula. “What else are they going to do?” she laughed.
“I bet she’s gonna love that,” Ethel said. “She is going to LOVE being pampered.”
“Well damn Ethel,” Josie laughed. “Tell us how you really feel.”
“I’m not saying it to be mean,” Ethel continued laughing. “Cheryl Blossom is going to LOVE being pampered.”
Betty turned the stove off, and served breakfast to all the girls. She glanced at Valerie. “Hey Val, are you okay? You’ve been kinda quiet.”
“Huh?” Valerie asked. “Oh, yeah I’m fine. Thanks Betty. Um, if you guys don’t mind, I’m actually going to take my breakfast outside.”
Valerie got up and walked away.
“What was that about?” Josie asked.
“Maybe it’s just getting to her,” Ronnie said. “I mean this experience, as fun as its been so far, it’s not easy to watch him fall for other girls.”
“True. But the way I see it, it’s more about wanting Archie to be happy at the end of the day,” Betty said.
“You’re right B,” Ronnie said. “As much as I want to be with Archiekins at the end of this, I’ll still be happy if he chooses one of you. Because I know his heart will be in great hands.”
     Josie, Ethel, and Betty smiled.
Tumblr media
(setting: Mall in Singapore)
Cheryl was in the fitting room, trying on multiple dresses.
Archie sat outside, chatting with the sales associate.
“This your first date?” she asked.
“It’s our first date...without other women.”
She laughed. “Awww. I can tell, you’ve already bought her a ton of things.”
Archie smiled. “I just want her to be happy today. Besides, every time she comes out of that fitting room, she looks amazing. And I’m like okay, you need that dress.”
“Awww, why can’t there be more men like you,” the sales clerk said. “Then again, you are the bachelor.”
Cheryl came out of the fitting room, wearing a black strapless dress with fringe across the bottom.
           “You look stunning,” Archie said.
“Thank you love-muffin,” she giggled, giving him a kiss.
“What’d you think of this one?” the sales associate asked Cheryl.
“I love it. Classy meets edgy,” Cheryl said, looking at herself in the mirror.
“If you wear that to the cocktail party tonight, I won’t be able to keep my eyes off you,” Archie chuckled.
“Then I shall,” Cheryl said with a wink. She turned to the sales associate. “Add this to his tab.”
         (setting: Confessional Booth)
“I don’t want to think about Archie and Cheryl,” Valerie said. “I really don’t. But I can’t stop. It’s just so irritating for me.”
(setting: Restaurant in Singapore)
Archie pulled out Cheryl’s chair as she sat down. “I just want to say thank you so much for today,” Cheryl began. “You really made me feel special. And that’s not a feeling I have every day.”
“I’m glad I helped with that. You deserve to smile and be happy, every single day,” Archie said.
“As do you,” Cheryl said, taking his hand. “Archie, I think that in any relationship that I have, it’s really important that I share with you every part of who I am.”
“I want you to,” he said, smiling. “I want to know as much about you as I can.”
She took a deep breath. “My brother, Jason, passed away recently.”
Archie immediately pulled her close for a hug, as she buried her face in his chest, crying.
“Cheryl, I am so sorry. I’m so sorry,” Archie said, rubbing her hair.
She looked up at him. “It’s the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to go through in my entire life.”
“You don’t have to explain-” Archie whispered.
“But I want to,” Cheryl began. “I want to allow myself to be vulnerable with you. This is what’s always stopped me in my previous relationships. I tend to push people away because in my life, all I’ve ever known is abuse from my mother. I live in an environment that is just...cold. Every day, I’m so cold. Just from being there.”
He hugged her tighter. “I really appreciate you trusting me enough to tell about this. I just hope you always know that with me, you’re in safe place. I won’t ever judge you, or think less of you. Especially not for being open about things you’ve gone through.”
She smiled. “I do feel that. And that just makes me like you even more, Archie Andrews,” she said, wiping a tear from her left eye.
He picked up the rose that was by the candles. “Cheryl. I think you know by now that you are someone who, I was definitely excited about. Ever since you first stepped out pf that limo on night one. And I really do see a lot of potential in our relationship. I’m glad that we established trust in each other tonight, and that I know the side of you that’s bold and fearless, and the side of you that’s sensitive and vulnerable. You are absolutely strong, and I admire you for it.”
He gestured towards her. “Cheryl, will you accept this rose?”
       “Of course I will.”
They leaned in for a kiss.
(setting: Bachelor Mansion.)
Cheryl arrived at the mansion, carrying twenty shooping bags, could barely even open the door. She stumbled inside the living room, to find all the women sitting in the living room, watching The Lion King.
              “Hey guys!” Cheryl greeted them.
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“So Cheryl walks in and she’s got like a million shopping bags. Like I don’t even get that many presents on Christmas,” Ethel said. “He was excited about their date. It was obvious, he couldn’t stop buying her things.”
(setting: Bachelor Mansion.)
“Archie picked these out himself!” Cheryl cheered, showing the women a pair of diamond earrings. “He was so cute. He was just like, whatever you want it’s on me. And well, I couldn’t say no that that!”
           All the women were.....smiling.
Ronnie took a giant sip of her wine.
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“I’m so mad,” Ronnie said, tears streaming down her cheeks. “It just sucks, knowing that someone I’m dating, is doing that for someone else.”
She paused. “But Cheryl’s a good person. She has a good heart. I’m...I’m so happy for Cheryl.”
She put her face in her hands as she continued to let the tears fall.
(setting: Cocktail Party later that night, at the Bachelor Mansion)
Archie raised a glass. “You are all so beautiful, and so special to me, in your own ways. This upcoming rose ceremony might be the hardest one so far because I’ve already gotten to know all of you. I appreciate those of you who have been so open and honest with me about things you’ve gone through. It just shows me how much you put your trust in me.”
               Ronnie, Cheryl, and Ethel smiled.
“I’m looking forward to tonight. And, as you all know, next week is Hometowns. And, I do want all of you to do me this one favor. Before I meet any of your families, I want to know that you feel confident in where our relationship is at right now,” Archie continued. “So, cheers to us being here on this journey to find true love.”
Everyone raised their glasses, and took sips.
“Arch,” Betty said. “Can I steal you away for a bit?”
“Of course Betty,” he said, taking her hand as they walked away together.
“Well that escalated quickly,” Ethel chuckled.
Josie glanced at Valerie. “You okay boo?”
“I just haven’t had any time with Archie,” Valerie said. “It’s really upsetting. I’m scared I might be going home.”
“Honestly Valerie,” Cheryl said, putting down her glass of champagne. “I really think you need to just, get out of your own head. I had to talk to him about something that was really hard for me, but now I feel really great about it. Just pull him aside to talk to him, like Betty did just now. The only thing really stopping you from having more time with him....is you. You can’t make excuses, you just have to act. Because if you don’t, it’s not going to be good for your relationship.”
“I’ll just be patient. Eventually, possibly, I’ll talk to him,” Valerie said.
(setting: Outside on the porch swing.)
“You’ve been pretty busy,” Betty chuckled, playfully nudging Archie’s shoulder.
“I have. And I feel good about it. But my wallet doesn’t,” Archie laughed.
          Betty laughed.
Archie gazed at her. “I love your smile.”
She giggled. “I like the way you look at me.”
“Well I can keep doing that for you.”
She laid her head on his shoulder. “So,” she began. “You don’t seem like the type to really have any skeletons in your closet.”
“How do you figure that?” Archie chuckled.
“Because I see it. You have so much optimistic energy, lighthearted smile, and a really pure heart. You’re honestly a big ball of sunshine. I don’t picture you having any deep, dark, secrets to hide.”
“I’m an open book,” Archie said, putting his arm around her. “The one thing about me that could scare you or any of the other women away, is how loudly I play my guitar at midnight.”
          She laughed. “Night owl?”
                  “I sure am.”
She looked down. “What’s wrong? Are you an early bird?” he asked her.
“I do...have some skeletons in my closet, Archie.”
He kissed her hand. “Betty, whatever it is, just know that you’re safe here with me.”
“My dad is a serial killer.”
Archie was at a loss for words...
“Or was, at least. He got arrested recently. I was honestly terrified to tell you, because I didn’t know how you’d respond. This isn’t something that I just freely talk about with anyone who will listen. But it’s something that...really changed me. It made me start to see the world for what it is. A place that, can be beautiful. But can also be a dangerous, scary place.”
He hugged her tight. “I’m so sorry Betty. How did you...?”
“He confessed it to me and to my mom. I called the cops on him, and they took him away. I haven’t seen him since.”
He rubbed her shoulders. “How do you feel?”
She sighed. “This is the first time I’ve ever talked about it, with anyone besides my mom and my sister Polly. And it feels...okay to talk about it. At first I was just so ashamed of myself...but I don’t need to be. They were his actions, not mine. But I do feel so much hatred towards him.”
“It’s understandable,” Archie said. “I think that’s so mature of you to realize that you aren’t the one to blame, for any of it.”
      She smiled. “Thank you, Arch.”
“I can’t imagine.....going through anything like that,” he whispered.
She sighed. “It’s a topic that I always stay away from.”
He turned to look her in the eyes. “Thank you for opening up about this. I know this must have been extremely difficult for you. But I’m honored, I really am, that you were able to trust me with something so personal.”
She smiled. “You made it easier on me. You always make everything so easy.”
“Betty,” he said, pulling her closer. “When I first met you, that night. You reminded me of home. You’ve always been such a calming influence on me.”
“You still give me butterflies,” she giggled.
“I see how phenomenal you are,” Archie began. “And sometimes I worry about, not being good enough for you.”
She rested her hand on his cheek. “You are more than enough, Archie Andrews.”
They leaned in for their first kiss.
(setting: Ballroom, at the Cocktail Party)
Archie sat down on the floor, playing his guitar.
“Hey stranger,” Josie said, entering the room.
                               “Hey you.”
She sat down next to him.
“You know what I just realized?” Archie asked.
                    “What’s that?” Josie responded, smiling.
“I don’t know enough about you,” he chuckled.
“Well maybe if you gave me a one-on-one,” she said playfully.
He laughed. “I wish every date could be a one-on-one.”
Josie leaned her head on his shoulder. “My mom is the mayor of Riverdale. And my dad is a rockstar, currently on the road with his band.”
                     “Your mom is Mayor McCoy?”
“Mhm,” Josie giggled. “So, hope you treat me right.”
“I think I’ve been doing okay so far,” he winked, kissing her.
“Maybe you should work a little harder,” she laughed, kissing him back.
            (setting: Living room.)
“Did everybody already have time with Archie?” Betty asked.
           “I certainly did,” Ronnie said.
           “So did I,” Josie said.
           “Ditto,” Ethel said.
           “I haven’t,” Valerie said.
“People are already having double time, so you should probably go talk to him now because-” Ronnie began.
“Who’s having double time?!” Ethel asked.
          “Cheryl,” Ronnie responded.
            Valerie’s jaw clenched.
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“Is she serious? She already had a one-on-one date with him! What, was that not enough? I’m so annoyed,” Valerie complained to the camera. “Not only was Cheryl a big part of the reason I didn’t even get time with Archie last week, but now she’s doing the same shit this week. AND...I literally just told her I was upset about not having time with him.”
(setting: Ballroom.)
Valerie entered the room, “Knock knock.”
Cheryl was sitting on the floor by herself.
            “Archie’s gone?”
“He went to the kitchen to refill his glass,” Cheryl said.
Valerie sat down next to Cheryl. “Veronica told me that you were over here talking to Archie.”
“Yeah I just wanted to tell him thank you for the date we had, and that was it,” Cheryl explained.
Valerie paused. “I don’t understand that.”
“What don’t you understand?” Cheryl asked.
Valerie took a deep breath. “I was open with you, about being upset about not having time. You seemed genuinely concerned-”
“And I was,” Cheryl said. “And then I told you for like 20 minutes to go talk to him. And instead of getting that time with him, you just continued to sit there-”
“You decided that what you needed to say was important, that’s the bottom line.”
“I didn’t even think twice about you in our conversation because of how good-” Cheryl began.
“See that’s the thing, I feel like sometimes you DON’T think.”
Cheryl scoffed. “Because I’m not here for all of the girls, I’m here for Archie.”
       “How old are you again?”
       “Oh, stop it.”
“I just feel like your actions solidify a maturity level. And I feel like someone who had a higher maturity level would’ve taken those things into consideration.”
“You have the right to feel that way, and I have the right to not care,” Cheryl said, getting up, and walking away.
(setting: Confessional Booth)
“I am so NOT in the wrong in this situation,” Cheryl said. “She had every chance to go talk to Archie. For crying out loud, there’s only six of us! Most bachelors, they have 15 women to talk to in one night. She has no excuse for being so prissy and lazy. She is not putting in any effort for Archie and it SHOWS.”
She did a hair flip. “I think she’s intimidated by the fact that Archie is establishing serious connections with all of us, not just me. She’s dug her own grave at this point, and if she goes home then....is anyone surprised?”
(setting: Rose Ceremony)
Ethel, Ronnie, Josie, Betty, Valerie, and Cheryl entered the ballroom.
There were three roses on the table.
Archie entered the dining room. “Hey ladies. This decision tonight was really hard because, I really like all of you. But I do feel confident in decisions, as usual. So if you don’t get a rose tonight, please understand that you’re amazing, and your person is definitely out there.”
He picked up the first rose and took a deep breath.
                “Betty.”
Betty walked over to him. “Betty, will you accept this rose?”
            “Of course, Arch.”
He picked up the second rose.
               “Josie.”
Josie walked over to him. “Josie, will you accept this rose?”
“Guess you’re meeting the mayor next week,” she said, playfully.
Archie laughed as he picked up the final rose.
Ethel, Veronica, and Valerie intently stared at him.
              He smiled. “Ronnie.”
Veronica walked over to him. “Ronnie, will you accept this rose?”
            “Absolutely, Archiekins.”
Chris Harrison entered the ballroom. “Ladies, I’m sorry. Take a moment. Say your goodbyes.”
Ethel walked over to Archie. “Thank you so much for everything. You made me feel hopeful for love,” she said, giving him a hug. “Your wife is in this room.”
Valerie walked over to Archie. “You’ve been making a lot of easier choices with the people you are pursuing. And if that’s what you want, then great. Go for that. But... I was at a cross roads because I do want something real, magical, everything you’re looking for. And I don’t regret any of my time with you. There’s a great group of girls here. Find them. Figure out who they are. Don’t get distracted by the shiny objects.”
Betty, Josie, Ronnie, and Cheryl were shook. Their jaws dropped.
“Goodbye Archie Andrews,” Valerie said, exiting the mansion.
Archie narrowed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Uhh
.okay. So, next week is hometowns. I’m really excited to meet your families. And deepen all of our connections.”

Part 10_______
Y/N POV
_______
As the night drew on the coffee shop closed and I aimlessly strolled around the city. My mind was cloudy, barley reminded of what happened today, to a normal person I might've looked drunk, but I was just confused.
I somehow found my way home, the flat door was unlocked. Clutching the gold embellished handle, I pushed it open. The place was completely trashed, Pillows were scattered everywhere, things on the table we astray, blanks were half way across the room. Worst of all splat in the middle of the couch laid a sleeping Roger and Tammy.
I knew I was going to have to clean up with mess in the morning, but I started to make my way to my bedroom. Little did I know Roger was wide awake watching me.
"Turns out I didn't need you to set me up."
That little prick. I payed no attention to him and continued on my way.
——————
I woke up the next day, barley remembering what happened the previous night, it barley fazed me. I smelt fresh coffee being brewed and sat straight up. I smiled remembering I had a date with Deaky later tonight. I knew I had to clean up the living room, so I went to do the task.
As I made my way down the hall way I heard a deep voice speaking. It can't be Roger, he has one night stands all the time and leaves every girl in the dust, that's his legacy apparently. To my surprise Tammy was making breakfast for a shirtless Roger.
"Good Morning Y/N." Tam spoke sweetly. She was happier than usual, something was up and I didn't like it. Her hands grasped the frying pan as eggs sizzled, I have never in my life seen Tammy even pick up a frying fan. I glanced at the half asleep Roger, he looked messier than usual, which makes sense due to the deed they did last night. I barley slept it was that loud, I doubt the other girls did either. I disheveled slowly out of my thoughts and saw Roger and his signature smirk plastered all over his face, disgusting is what I wanted to think but for some reason I liked it. I didn't want to like it.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed an apple to eat, I didn't want to be in that kitchen anymore. I strolled into the living room for the second shock of the day, to see it clean. One thing was different one pf my vases my grandmother gave was missing. There was supposed to be two, I'll ask Tammy later she has a "guest."
I went back through the kitchen to see everyone was up, Crystal and Cynth looked sleepless, Crystal had her hair in an extremely messy bun and a blanket draped over one of her shoulders. When Tammy's brown eyes landed on me she clapped her hands giddily. What the actual hell, she started to speak, "Guys I have an announcement to make," Let me guess she's pregnant, "Roger and I have just started dating!" He smiled deviously from the corner of the room. What in the world is he planning?" Everyone congratulated her and then it came to me, "Great, now you can teach him how to us a hair brush." the girls chuckled. "Hey!" Roger started. Tammy looked angered, "Why can't you be happy for us? Are you jealous or something?!" I laughed, "Absolutly not! I'm going out with John  tonight." her face faltered, "Note for next time, when you shag be mindful of your roommates, we kind of want to sleep." I tossed my apple up and down while going back to my room. This is going to be a long day.
------
It was around an hour before John was supposed to pick me up, Tammy and Roger were no where to be found, thank god, and Crystal and Cynthia were going out to see Brian and Freddie. I put light made up on and brushed my hair. Deaky said that we were going out for coffee, so I put on a pair of jeans and my own band's t-shirt. I decided to wear a pair of worn out sneakers since the weather wasn't that nice out. I went down to the kitchen to eat a little something before leaving.
I then sat to peacefully watch some TV, this was the time I enjoyed by myself. Before I knew it it was time to go, I was interrupted by loud knocking on the door. I scrambled to turn the TV off and clean up my things. I then went to open the room for Deaky, when I did he smiled, he looked absolutely adorable my heart fluttered, maybe roger was just a quick faze, maybe I avoided his charm, maybe I'll live life with John.
"Hi Deaky!" I smiled I kissed him oh the cheek and he gave me a tight hug, "Are you ready to go? he whispered. I nodded. He swiftly slipped his hand into mine and blushed. We made our way down the stairs and I swore I saw a head of blonde hair and one with brown poke around the corner, I must be going mental.
The drive to the coffee shop was nice and calm, John's car smelt of mint and coffee, it was peaceful. The music on his radio was playing softly and we quietly talked about music with each other, still holding hands mind you. The more time I spent with him I though less of Roger, my heart was pumping, I was nervous.
After a short drive we were at the shop, John was a gentleman he opened the door for me and we went to find a seat, it was connected to a bookstore, the place was filled with light chatter and people reading quietly. We sat down at a red booth and faced the books. Once again I saw the quick glance of two people resembling Roger and Tam and it seems like Deaky also saw. We looked at each other with confusion. We both asked each other, "Is that..." "Tammy?" "Roger?" and low and behold both of them walk out, holding hands. They made their way up to us and sat down, John and I were so confused until Roger spoke.
"We heard about you arrangements and decided to make this a double date."
Oh my god....

Strawberry Wine
Tumblr media
This is part 3 pf Feel Like Talking. i have spent the last thirty minuets trying to find a kissing gif for this and I give up. I hope you like this one it’s pretty light and fluffy. Leah remembers the early stages of her and Negan’s relationship.
AU Negan x OC Leah
Warnings:I’m gonna say underage because Leah is only seventeen in the memory but there is no smut or anything like that. And maybe language
Part 1  Part 2
For the rest of the day I couldn’t get Negan out of my mind. I almost started crying two or three times which was hard to explain. I decided on walking home only living a few miles from my store I could use the time to clear my head. I didn’t want my mother to see me as a blubbering idiot.
I walk walking down south street when I saw my dad out of the corner of my eye.
“Hey darling.” He says standing up from the bench he was sitting on quickly throwing away his cigarette.
“Daddy you know your not supposed to be smoking.” I say walking up to him.
“It was only one sweetie. Let your old man live.” He says accepting my hug.
“Yeah but one turns into you puffing like a train.”
“I promised you I would stop and I did. I just like to have one from time to time.”
“Where did you even get it from anyway?”
“Negan stopped by wanting to talk to me.”
“About what?” I ask my heart clenching at his name.
“Just to see how I’ve been. He left right after you went to bed at the party. He just wanted to catch up. You know he lives near here.”
“Yeah I know.” I say softly, remembering he always liked this side of town. It having a great few of the trees and mountains.
“I’m sorry sweetheart did I say something to upset you?”
“No, i've just had a strange day is all.”
“Well why don't you come in. Take your mind of everything.”
“Daddy i’m not a little girl anymore I don’t want to play DJ.”
“Now, now come on for old time sake?”
“Fine.” I say letting him lead me into the small radio station.
“Look what the cat dragged in.” My dad says to the three old ladies who insist on helping with the radio
“If it isn’t my little lady bug.” The ones closest to the door says standing up and pulling me into a hug.
“Hello Mrs. Pots.” I say hugging her back. Her a sweet plump woman who gave everyone a nickname. I don’t even think she knew me real name.
“What brought you in today?” Mrs. Grainaway says her knitting a blanket.
“Dad thought it be good for me.”
“Right he is as always.” Mrs. Cainsmith says reaching her hand out to squeeze mine.
“How is your life been dearie?” Mrs. Pots says sitting back down.
“Same as always.”
“Still live with your parents?” Mrs. Grainway asks not judging just sounding curious.
“Yes. I’m saving up to buy a house.” I say hearing my dad clear his voice.
“Good afternoon ladies and gents how did you like that number?” He asks inside of the booth sitting down and talking into the mic.
“Back to work ladies.” Mrs. Cainsmith says smacking the chair beside her the three of them moving to their respected spots.
I move out of the way sitting in the corner watching them move around each other seamlessly. I always loved coming in here after school just to watch.
I remember I asked my mom how they did it without talking to each other. As if they could read each other's minds. She just smiled and told me that’s what happens when you get old. I didn’t know what she meant at the time but I understood it completely now.
They all knew each other. They knew where to pick up where another one failed. I saw it in my parents early in the mornings at breakfast.
They knew exactly where to be and where each other would be. I started to see it in me and Negan when were alone. It one of the many things I miss about my younger self.
“Alright we got a request in from ann anonymous. They want to hear Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter for old times sake. Well here you go hope it brings back some memories.” My Dad says pressing a button the familiar guitar filling my ears.
As she started to sing I started to remember my own memories.
I was walking down the gravel road going out of town the rain already soaked to my skin. Hearing a a car coming from behind me I moved out of the way only for it not to pass. Seeing a black truck beside me I turn to look threw the window recognizing it as Negan in the driver seat.
Opening the door I climb inside.
“Thanks.” I say smiling at him.
“You going out to the farm?” He asks talking about my grandpa's farm.
That where I met him him a year ago helping rebuild the barn. Only for him to end up being my teacher this year.
“Yeah, I was planning to go for a swim but as you can see.” I say guestering to the windshield.
“That’s not gonna happen.”
“Probably for the best. Your Pappy got me and a few other men working today don’t need you directracted anyone.” He says making me blush.
“Okay sure.” I say pulling at my wet T-shirt it sticking to my suit underneath.
“I hate being wet.” I say the AC making me shiver slightly.
“Good thing I found you then huh?”
“Yeah. So what are you working on? I thought you were out of the handyman business.”
“I am. He wanted me to come by and pick a tree to turn into a chest for your grandmother.”
“Aww that’s so sweet. I wish I had someone who loved me like that.”
“Well love like that is worked for.”
“I don’t know. I think my grandparents have always been in love. Like they were just born to find each other and fall in love. Same with my parents.”
“It’ll happen for you. Your young.”
“I’m seventeen my grandparents were married already and my parents were about to get married and get pregnant with me.”
“Different times.” He says pulling onto the dirt path leading to my grandpa’s house. Us already on his land.
“Better I think.” I say letting out a huff.
“Something tells me you are having problems with a boy.” He says glancing at me.
His eyes dancing up my frame for a second it making my stomach flip.
“No, quite the opposite really.”
“Oh?”
“Guys my age are idiots
 “ I say earning a chuckle.
“Well you're not wrong there.” He says putting the truck in park.
Going by the fact there was no old ford in the driveway and the tracker was sitting by the barn my grandparents were gone. They never went anywhere alone. I felt butterflies in my stomach for a second realizing I was free to do whatever I wanted. The teenager in me wanting to do something bad. But I had Negan to watch me.
Looking at him I realize that I’ve liked having his attention on me. Us always talking last summer and now that school was out and I didn’t have fight past other students just to say Hello I had to admit I missed talking to him.
“What, I got something on my face?” He asks running his hand over his beard it starting to get the smallest of gray in it.
“No I just realized it’s been a while since we talked. It’s nice.” I say shrugging my ears warm.
“I’ve missed it too.” He says making me smile.
“You wanna do something fun?” I ask turning to face him.
“By fun you mean something that is gonna get one of us in trouble?”
“Maybe... “ I say grinning.
“Well not unless it’s inside I don’t think it’s gonna happen.” He says guestering to the rain it picking up.
I bite my lip as the only sound is the drops pelting the truck and the soft radio.
“Why not tell me what’s got you so set on finding love?” He asks after a moment of silence.
“It’s not about finding love. I mean sure I would be happy to have someone but it’s just I don’t relate to any guy my age. They like cars or sports or TV. I just want to be with someone I don’t have to entertain.” I say laying my head back on the truck bench.
“I hate to tell you darling but you have to entertain all of us. Just with what changes as we get older.”
“Your talking about sex right?” I ask turning my head to look at him.
“I take it by your tone you've had sex then.” He asks a slight smile on his face. He was clearly entertained by me at the moment.
Shrugging I put my feet up on the dash and point at the barn.
“Sixteen birthday party.”
“That’s why that little Donny boy kept following you around?”
“Yeah you see what happened to him.” I say sighing.
“Aww sweetheart I’m sorry.”
“Why? We had sex.” I say shrugging again.
“I take it you didn’t like the feller then?”
“Not really.” I say looking out the window watching the tree branches move in the wind water running down the glass.
“Then why sleep with him?”
After not saying anything I felt Negan softly hit my arm.
“Come on you can tell me. Think of me as your cool uncle.”
“I’d rather not think of you that way thanks.” I say not crazy about where this conversation is going.
“Yeah? Why’s that?”
“I’m not stupid Negan. I hear the way woman talk about you when you walk into a room.”
“Oh really?” He asks turning to face me.
“Do tell?”
“You either sleep around a lot or make one hell of an impression.” I say smiling when I earn a chuckle.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“You should.”
“So you don’t the boys at school why not getcha an older boy. I’m sure your daddy wouldn’t mind if it made you happy.”
“I think he’d kill me.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Because..” I say not wanting to answer.
Lucky for me a familiar song played from the speakers.
“I love this song.” I say turning it up just as Deana Carter started to sing.
I join in with her on the second verse, fully aware of Negan watching me but I didn’t care. It was really one of my favorite songs and it let me avoid the questions.
Before the song ended my grandpa’s car drove up next to us. I smile at him waving realizing my time was up.
It was only two days later when I was in the loft of the barn listening to an old country station when I heard someone climb the ladder. I was on my stomach in shorts and a tank top laying on my stomach so I had to look over my shoulder to see Negan’s frame standing there.
“Oh it’s you. I thought I was alone here.” He says smiling at me making me blush.
“It’s me.” I say lifting my shoulder in a shrug.
“What did you come up here to slack off?”
“I came to the barn looking for a drill bit but when I heard music-.”
“You thought you would be brave and check it out?” I ask earning a chuckle.
“Something like that.” He says walking over to me and sitting on the hay bell next to my head.
Moving to sit with my legs crossed I stretch my arms over my head.
“So you are gonna slack off anyway.”
“I figured a break wouldn’t hurt.”
“Fair enough.” I say picking up my glass of tea taking a drink then holding it out to him.
Taking it from me I glare at him when he hands me back a empty glass.
“That was mine.”
“I was thirsty.”
“Now I have to go get a new one.” I say pushing myself up and walking towards the ladder.
Turning to look back at Negan still sitting there I wave him over.
“Ya coming or what?”
“You want me to go down first?”
“No
Maybe.” I say rolling my eyes. I could climb it but I could never go down unless someone was at the bottom. One of the reasons I was still up here.
Chuckling he pushes himself up his hands on his knees. He was dressed in boots and jeans his t-shirt clinging to his broad frame. I take a breath it always surprising me how attractive he was.
‘He is your teacher Leah.’ I tell myself as he walked over to me.
“Want me to take the glass too?” He asks holding his hand out.
Handing it to him my stomach flips his hand brushing mine it rough from working all the time.
I move out of the way as he easily climbs down the ladder.
“Alright your turn sweetheart.” He calls up to me.
“You’ll catch me if I fall right?” I ask looking down at him.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” He says smiling at me.
Turning around I grab the wooden ladder and slowly make my decent. I jump when I feel Negan’s hand on my hip his fingertips brushing under the fabric of my shirt.
“Easy, I gotcha.” He says him right behind me.
Moving down the last few feet I reach the ground only to trip over Negan’s foot.
“Whoa.” he says catching me from falling steading me.
“Now I see why you asked me to go first.” He says smiling at me.
“Exactly.” I say nodding.
“How about that tea?”
“Oh right. Let’s go.” I say us heading to the barn door.
Biting my lip I glance at him as he starts to whistle him seeming not to have a care in the world.
“Thank you.” I say quickly.
“Excuse me?” He asks looking at me.
“I said thank you. For back there. Not letting me die ya know.”
“I don’t think you would have died. Got hay in your hair and maybe a bump on the head.”
“Either way, thanks.” I say placing my hand on his shoulder and standing on my toes to press my lips to his stubbled covered cheek.
Instead of his cheek I jump back when my mouth meets his.
“I’m sorry.” I say blushing my heart thumping inside my chest.
Instead of answering me he gently takes my face between his hands. Bending down his lips brush mine as my eyes flutter shut. Kissing him back I wrap my arms around his neck as he slowly moves his mouth over mine.
Pulling away from me he lifts the corner of his mouth in a smile.
“Now we're even.” He says heading towards the house leaving me with more questions than answers.
“What’s got you in a good mood?” Mrs. Pots asks pulling me from my day dream.
“Nothing. Old memories I guess.” I say smiling pushing myself off the wall.
“Where are you going?”
“Home, it was nice seeing you ladies. Tell my dad I’ll see him later.” I say waving at him and leaving.
I start my walk home shaking my head about how just a memory can completely change your mood.

Survey #140
“let’s just kill everyone and let your god sort them out.”
Know any magic tricks?  Not anymore, but I had... three of those kiddy magic kits you could get from Schoolastic lmao. Do you sleep well most nights?  No.  Waking up in the middle of the night is way too common. You can take any illegal drug without any bad consequences, which one?  Assuming "bad consequences" include all possible negative side effects as well as ingesting carcinogens, I guess weed.  Least dangerous and boy would it be nice to be happy and chill as fuck for once. Do you remember the last dream you had about the person you love/like?  Not really... even though she's in most of my dreams now, I can remember that much. Could you ever be friends with somebody who was homophobic? As someone who's bi, no.  Well... I guess it depends on the intensity.  Like my sister doesn't agree with it, but she's not like "omg you're going to Hell, Britt."  I have a friend who's against it as well, yet I love her.  Just part of living in the Bible Belt, I suppose. Honestly, would you rather be complimented on your looks or intelligence?  Um.  That's actually hard for someone who's a self-conscious fuck.  I guess the latter? Do you find it harder to apologize or to accept apologies?  Give them.  I accept them probably too easily. Would you try to frame somebody else if your mom committed a murder? No. Honestly, have you ever danced naked? No. What was the first illegal thing that you did? Did you get caught?  Illegally download music, and no. Who was your first good kiss with?  Jason. Would you kiss this person again?  I would literally rather kiss a venomous snake.  Not that that would be much different. Who was you hottest bf/gf besides the one you have now?  Love truly is blind, because before I dated Jason, didn't think he looked that good.  Dated him, he became the most attractive guy in the world to me.  Now, don't see what I saw then. How often do you drink water?  Eh, I maybe finish a bottle a day. What does your phone case look like?  I don't have one weeps. What do you take the most pictures of?  Nature. What are you always in the mood for?  GO OUT AND PHOTOGRAPH. Would you rather be a surgeon or mortician?  Mortician. Would rather be a musician or a painter?  Musician.  More exciting. Does your brother/sister have black hair?  My brother does. When you were little, did you hate veggies?  I actually loved them. When you text, do you type out the full word, or use abbreviations?  Usually the full word. When you are about to go to bed, do you put on some sort of noise?  No. What do you do when you have nothing TO do?  Sleep or obsessively refresh the same websites wishing I had hobbies. :') Has anyone ever prank called you over and over and OVER?  No. What is your favorite Christmas movie?  Jim Carrey's "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." And what about your favorite Christmas song?  "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and "Christmas Chimes" or whatever it's called. What is your ultimate favorite stocking stuffer?  Gimme chocolates boiz. After Halloween, do you sort out all of your candy into little piles?  I did as a kid. Have you ever overdosed on a drug?  Once accidentally and once purposefully. When was the last time you called the police, and what was it for?  I never have. Have you ever kissed a guy you didn’t want to kiss?  I've never kissed a guy back if I didn't want to.  I don't consider you standing like a statue while someone kisses you you doing so in return. Do you own feather earrings?  No. When you listen to music with headphones, do you keep the volume low enough to hear surrounding noise faintly, or do you blast it?  I blast it, whoops. Do your parents have any authority over who you date?  No.  They never have. How many different shades of nail polish do you have?  Zero lul. Are you lucky enough to have an ice maker in your refrigerator door?  No. Have you ever watched an anime series, start to finish?  Four off the top of my head. Who was the last person you messaged on Facebook?  Colleen. Do you prefer waffles or pancakes?  Pancakes. Which word did you say first, mama or dada?  "Dada." How old were you when you learned to walk?  Idk. Where do you see yourself in a year?  Thinking about that makes me nervous.  Idk.  Could go bad or well. What’s the worst thing you’ve ever experienced?  Heartbreak. What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?  Ummm.  Maybe mountains? Do you have an embarrassing period story?  No, thankfully. What fascinates you more: outer space or the bottom of the ocean?  Space! Did you choose your sexuality?  You don't?????  Choose????????? Look at your nails; Do they need to be cut?  No, because I'm a weird shit that peels them off. What is your state’s minimum wage?  $7.25 ew. Are you listening to any music right now? If so, what are you listening to?  Um "Orgy For One" by Ninja Sex Party look it's catchy and happy okay it puts me in a good mood. Are you more independent or dependent?  My therapist and I briefly explored the idea of me having dependent personality disorder, so. What’s the worst curse word or saying that you know of? I don't believe in "curse words."  Who decided they were bad??  I believe in derogatory words (racial, sexual), not "curse" ones. What’s the warmest it can get over there? Fallen (M) Chapter One
Tumblr media
Next
Hi! This is a Jungkook AU! I really hope you enjoy this series! Happy reading!
For me my world has always been one way, in one system, black and white. There were no ‘gray areas’. Until I met you
I guess I should start from the beginning, huh? It’ll be easier for you to understand this way. So it won’t hurt as much
 Or at least I hope.
“(y/n)! Are you listening~” Your friend, Nari waved her hand in front of your face. “Huh? What?” You ask, completely dazed. Your final exams have been back to back non-stop. You spent nearly almost all your free time studying, and the small few hours you’ve worked, you actually enjoyed. I suppose it’s my only break from the oppression of school. You thought.
“Party, tonight. My house. You coming?” Nari was the party type, but she wouldn’t get shitfaced. She’d just go to have fun and enjoy herself. She gets a sort of ‘natural high’ from them.
“You know that’s not my style” You sigh while rolling your eyes. Never in your life had you gone to a party (aside from birthdays), and you most certainly aren’t going to start now. “Aw come on! It will be so fun~” she cooed.
The bell rang and you internally growled. Exam for college algebra, my favorite. “No, besides my exam plate is stacked enough for a party of 5 to eat. I need to cram.” You sighed “it’s always about studying this, cramming that, work this. Come and hang out with me~ I miss you-“ “bye love” You waved her off with her retorts right with her.
Being short was never fun for you, especially through the halls. People always pushing past your shoulders, constantly being pinned against others because everyone is just trying to do the same thing, get to their class.
Not paying attention, you tripped. You fell flat on your ass, because someone’s bag was on the floor.
“Taehyung!” You heard someone yell.
Looking up, you see him. Jeon Jungkook. Smiling down at your pathetic self on the floor. “Sorry, my friend threw my bag. I hope you didn’t get hurt.” He said sweetly offering his hand, but you refused picking yourself up. All the girls in the school were in love with this guy. But you knew what he was known for, getting girls in bed then ditching them. You weren’t about that life.
“It’s fine,” You faked smiled “It’s my fault for not paying attention anyways” a small chuckle escaped your throat. A boy with silver hair and a red bandanna came running after you. You could feel Jungkook staring at you, but you ignored it.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t think anyone would trip!” The boy apologized. “It’s okay, really.” You smiled gently at the boy and patted him on the shoulder. “I’m gonna go now, bye.” You quickly said, excusing yourself.
I’m guessing that’s Taehyung. You thought.
Walking into class, you cleared your head and readied yourself for your exam. You were still in high school, but since your school offered college classes, you decided to take them. But it was a heavy workload, and you barely had time to enjoy yourself.
“(y/n)! Don’t think you’re getting away that easily!” Nari called after you as you walked to your car. Your brain was completely fried from that exam. Logarithms, polynomials, exponential functions, and even some damn calculus was in that test! That professor is evil. You swore that you were going to be dreaming of the equations for the next week because it is so damn engraved in your brain.
“You’re coming to the party. You’re a junior, live your life. We can have a sleepover and just talk about stupid things when the party's over” She begged with her hands together and puppy dog eyes. You felt bad, you hadn’t been spending much time with her despite her always texting you to hang. “Well it is Friday so
” “Yay!” She jumped and hugged you. “You won’t regret it!” she started to run off. “I have work till eight you know!” I yelled after her and she just put her hand up as if saying ‘yeah yeah’.
“That girl I swear” You couldn’t help but smile. Nari was like a ray of sunshine. She’s always fun to be around, and she can be very down to earth. At times she may not look it, but she’s a good judge of character and people's moods. She always seems to know just the right things to say.
You worked in a small coffee shop. To be honest you weren’t much of a coffee person, you were more of a tea person. But the aroma of coffee was so intoxicating to you. Different coffees had different scents. Some were bitter, some were sweet. Your favorite was the ‘Indian Monsooned Malabar’ blend. It had a bittersweet scent but it invades your senses and makes you feel so relaxed and at home.
“Hi Hoseok” You smiled at your co-worker. You both went to the same high school, and your shifts always seemed to sync up. “Hey, (y/n)” He gave you one of his famous bright smiles. You always took notice of his customer service since he’s always tipped well.
“Counter today?” You asked, tying your hair up and throwing on your apron. “Yep” He laughed, slipping off his backpack and green bomber jacket. Stepping into the back, you quickly made yourself look presentable. A little bit of lip gloss and mascara. You didn’t care much for how you looked, but at work it was different. You like tips, and you found that when you look a little more cute, people tend to tip well.
“Is Brian and Chase still out there?” you asked while pinning on your name tag “Yeah they’re cleaning up right now.” he was doing the same as well. He fixed his red hair today to look a little curly. Hoseok was a dancer, you’ve seen him a couple times. Mostly through just late nights of closing the shop. But each time it was more enjoyable than the last. He danced with so much passion and elegance, it truly is beautiful.
You clocked yourself in and did the same for Hoseok. He had already started preparing some of the coffee grounds. You guys had a system. He’d prep, you’d clean. Then at the end of the night you would prep and he would clean. This is how these things have always gone between you two. You worked surprisingly well together.
“Oh hey man!” Hoseok said, you turned to see him giving a bro five to Jungkook, who’s eyes immediately found yours. “Hey” He smiled back at Hoseok “Can I get a cappuccino?” “Yeah sure, (y/n).” Hoseok quickly shot you a look and you had already started.
A medium roast espresso blend in a drip coffee machine. As the cup filled, you steamed the milk, whipped it until it became a froth. Gently, you poured the milk over the dark liquid. You created a tree design in the froth due to it being December. Taking a small moment you admired your work.
Walking over, you brought him his drink. “Here you go sir, is there anything else you’d like?” You fake smiled, a beautiful art that you’ve picked up through this job. You honestly didn’t want to be around this douche. And this is the first time that you’ve ever seen the hoe here in the two whole years that you’ve worked here.
“Yes, I’d like you.” He brought his coffee to his pink lips and locked eyes with yours. Your heart clenched and you felt the blood rush to your cheeks. What the fuck? You thought. “Sorry, but I’m not for sale.” You smiled sarcastically and walked off, fists clenched. How bold! And rude, what even was that! Why is he even here. Why am I blushing? Why is my heart pounding?
“(y/n) one americano” Hoseok called “G-Got it” you stammered and mentally cursed at yourself. Hoseok gave you a weird look but you ignored it and made the coffee.
As soon as Jungkook left, you felt the tension in your chest release. How annoying. He was there for at least an hour, and every time you passed him to give customers their orders, you could definitely feel him looking at you. It was like a 6th sense or something, but you could definitely feel it.
You went to his table to clean up. And as you were, you saw a $20 tip and his number on a napkin. Your eye twitched. Who does this boy think he is? A sex god? I don’t want this dumbasses number! After putting the twenty in your pouch, crumpling the napkin, wiping down the table, and made your way back to the sink.
Is he trying to buy me? Get my attention? Well he got it alright, he’s lucky I don’t shove my foot up his ass. Wait- no I am a peer mediator that would be not something a good samaritan would do. “(y/n), I know I’m cute and all, but stop daydreaming about me and make a chai latte to go” Hoseok smiled at you, and his words brought you out of your thoughts.
“Pf, you wish dude” you laughed and he followed suit.
The rest of your work evening was pretty normal paced. Just the same old back and forward motions, you and Hoseok messing around. Counting tips, etc.
You were prepping all the coffee machines for tomorrow when Hoseok tapped you on the shoulder.
“What’s up?” You asked, wiping away at the stains in the metal rim of an espresso bean grinder. “It’s eight, your shift is done” you shooed him away. “I’m not gonna leave you my work load. That’s not cool.” you sighed, turning to face him, well more like looking up at him since you were short. “Yeah, but I don’t mind. Besides you have Naris party to go to right~” He teased. You wondered how he knew but he answered that for you. “I’m going too, but I overheard you guys in the parking lot in front of the school” he cleared his throat “You’re a junior, live your life.” He quoted Nari, but in a higher pitched mocked version of her voice.
Laughing, you pushed Hoseok's shoulder. “She doesn’t sound like that you idiot” You chuckled and he pretended to flip his imaginary long hair over his shoulder “She totally does” he said still in the ridiculous voice.
You two laughed a bit more and then found an agreement since you both were going to the party it would just be easier if you both closed up the shop.
“See you at the party (y/n), don’t get shitfaced now!” Hoseok teased as we got into our cars. “Please if anyone is getting drunk it’s you or Namjoon.” “You’re probably right” He smiled brightly, and from there you both drove to Naris place.
Luckily since you had to go to work, you dressed nicely. A pair of black ripped Jeans, a slightly oversized black shirt that said ‘NeverMind’, a simple white beanie and white hightop vans to match.
The house was a large two story white home on private land. Both of Naris parents are overseas at the moment for their company. The house was already flooded, and cars were starting to line the driveway. Loud music bombed from the entirety of the property. People were outside watching others on the ‘Keg stand’. That weird beer thing where people do a handstand and try to drink as much beer for as long as possible.
Oh boy. You thought as you stepped out of your black mazda6, Hoseok right behind you. “Don’t be nervous!” He slapped you on the back. “You’ll have fun”. You seriously doubted that, but regardless, you walked with him to the entrance and through the swarm of bodies.
As you entered the house, people were grinding on each other with red solo cups in their hands. Strobe lights flashed all throughout the house. The music was now so loud it felt as if your spine had vibrations going through it.
Making your way to the kitchen you found your best friend, you somehow lost Hoseok but you were honestly fine with it since he’s friends with pretty much everybody.
“Nari” You sighed in relief. “(y/n), you made it! I’m so glad!” She gave you a tight hug. Nari had on a skin tight red dress that made her boobs stand out. She paired it with a black velvet choker, and some red heels. “You trying to get laid? You look hot” You said and your best friend smiled. “Nope, just making sure guys know I’m not a snack” She gave a wink. Her beautiful long black hair framed her face and body nicely. She had a small frame but just enough curves. Her skin was pale, and she had big brown eyes. A lot of guys like her, and it’s easy to understand why.
“Let’s go dance (y/n)-”
“Hey Nari”
Both you and your friend turn around to find Namjoon, Yoongi, Seokjin, Jimin, Taehyung, Hoseok, and Jungkook. I almost puked and Nari almost melted, she has a thing for Namjoon.
“H-Hi” She stammered cutely. “Want to dance?” He asked, his voice deep and confident, but red stained his cheeks as he held out his hand. She quickly looked back at me asking for permission, her eyes desperate. How could I say no? I gave her a nod and she took his hand swiftly and led him to the dance floor.
“Shit” I cursed, completely forgetting there were 6 other guys in this kitchen.
“Ah! You’re the cute girl from earlier!” Taehyung exclaimed, making your eyes widen. “C-Cute?” You stuttered, a flush running over your cheeks. He gave a cute laugh and you wanted to bolt. “I didn’t think this was your scene.” Jungkook smirked. You wanted to slap him. “(y/n) right? I’m Yoongi we take the same music tech class.” He said, but of course you already knew who he was. “Hi” Jimin smiled, along Jungkook, he’s known as one of the hottest guys in school. “Don’t crowd the girl!” Seokjin exclaimed. “Okay mom~” Hoseok teased.
“Hi” You said quietly as all the boys stared at you, it was uncomfortable, and something you were not used to. You were that one quiet girl who sat in the back of the class with a book in her hand, the one who spent her free time studying. The ‘Teacher’s Pet’. Not the girl who goes to parties, and adding onto that getting noticed by a bunch of hot guys.
“(y/n) don’t be weird” Hoseok laughed and patted you on the back. You shot him a death glare. “So you’re name is (y/n), you’re so cute and small” Taehyung said, bending down to look at you better. Why does he keep calling me cute? This is so weird, Nari please save me from this hell.
“So, (y/n)” Jungkook saying your name sent shivers down your spine. “What?” You asked, no fake niceness in your voice. The others were taken aback except for Hoseok, he was used to it. “Get my number?” He asked, not wiping that ‘I know I’m irresistible’ smirk off his face. “Yep I did, and I threw it away. I don’t want it. I’ll pass, not smash. Thanks.” With that, you walked away leaving them all stumped. You ran up the stairs to Naris bedroom and shut the door locking it behind you.
Your face was burning bright red. What was that?! Why did I say that? What’s wrong with me, why can’t I just be a quiet girl that doesn’t stand out? Throwing yourself on the floor, you let your racing heart rest. You felt the steam rise from your face. This isn’t me.
“(y/n)! Get your ass out of my room and come have fun!” Nari’s voice came from the other side of the door. Very muted, but still audible. So quick! What the fuck does she have ninja senses? “Fuck no! I just embarrassed myself”. Suddenly her door was open and she came to my side. Wasn’t that door just locked?
“Telling off a fuckboy? Being a badass? Be proud! I’m proud!” You covered your face as she beamed at you. “Where’s Namjoon?” You peeked through your fingers, up at your friend. “He’s teasing Jungkook for getting rejected. Now, let’s make you look hot so he really gets pissed.”
“Oh hell no”
“Yep deal with it”
“But your clothes are revealing!”
“That’s the point!”
You fought with her till you was reduced to a pair of short black shorts, a white crop top, that was more of a bra if we’re being up front here, a black and gold choker, your beanie and shoes. She made you take your hair out, and straighten it. She put a dark reddish brown lipstick on you. Looking at yourself in the mirror you stared, mortified.
“I look like a whore” You shot her a death glance and all she gave you was a smile. “That top really shows off your baby abs” You were slightly athletic, running and core strengthening was about the extent you’d go to. “I don’t have abs, and I don’t want to be seen like this.” You hid your burning face. Too much skin was exposed.
“Just for one night, (y/n). Own it and be badass!” without even giving you time to respond, she grabbed your wrist with a surprising amount of strength and dragged your sorry ass down stairs.
You got some looks, mostly of shock. One of those shocked faces being a Hoseok and a Seokjin. Nari lead you through the pit of sweaty bodies, towards the middle. ‘Dance’ she mouthed, moving her hips and throwing her hair around to the erratic beat of the music. You slightly moved your hips, but you felt awkward, like everyone was looking at you. Nari rolled her eyes, grabbed your hands and started jumping up and down with you. “Go crazy and have fun!” She yelled over the insanely loud trap music.
Somehow, somewhere inside you, you hit the ‘fuck it’ button. So you did as she said, you moved your hips rhythmically, you tossed your hair side to side, and danced with your best friend. If you looked stupid? You couldn’t care less. You were on such a high, it was almost like the music was coursing through you and all you could do was move how it made you feel.
Suddenly someone's hands gripped around your waist. Quickly, you turned around and it was Jungkook. All the fun you were having? Gone. But, an idea popped in your head. “You don’t give up do you?” You yelled, still moving your hips to the beat, his hands still held firmly. “Not when I see something I like” He answered, tongue running over his glistening pink lips. He turned you around, your back against his hard chest as he grinded against you, you could feel his erection against your ass.
With a smirk, you turned standing on your tippy toes, wrapping your arms around his neck and brought your lips to his ear. “I’m not something you can have.” you whispered, while playing with the hairs close to the nape of his neck. With that you removed his hands and swayed back over to Nari, but you didn’t break eye contact with him. He looked dazed, confused, and most of all, really, really pissed.
The rest of the party was pretty much one fantastic blur, you and Nari just danced, had fun but then when everyone was going, you two collapsed on her bed.
“Finally everyone's gone” She weakly laughed “God I know” the both of you were tired, but she jumped up almost nearly as energetic as she was at the beginning of this party. Almost as if she was remembering something she was excited about.
“What was that with Jungkook?”
I really hope you enjoyed this chapter! I had a lot of fun writing it, please give me feed back. Also my requests are open so feel free to ask away!

Ten years ago today, The Devil Wears Prada premiered in theaters, and fashion has never been the same. From "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.", to "That's all.", the movie shined a glamorous—if not slightly brutal—light on the glossiest of industries. The woman behind the glamour? Super stylist Patricia Field (also of Sex and the City and Ugly Betty fame). Below, she opens up to HarpersBAZAAR.comabout the legacy of the film and how she created the style of its iconic characters:
Harper's BAZAAR: I can't believe it's been 10 years since The Devil Wears Prada came out. How do you think the fashion industry as a whole has changed since then?
PF: I think the fashion industry, as a result of globalization, has undergone a uniformity. I'm not saying that's good or that's bad but that is my observation.

HB: How you were able to create individual personalities through the clothing of the main characters: Miranda, Andy and Emily?
PF: There's a formula you start off with and it starts with the script, because in the script it describes the characters and there's dialogue, and you learn about the character, who is fictitious, that we are creating. So that's step one: the script. Step two: character. Step three: Meet the actual human being, the actress or the actor. It's extremely important to have a relationship with the actor. I always feel my job is to support the actor who is creating this character.
The more information you have, the better you're able to have success. Part of that relationship is getting to know one another. You need to develop a respect, a trust for each other so that you're comfortable in this collaboration. So that's the general rule for all filmmaking for me. With Miranda Priestly, who is a chief editor, my idea was to create Miranda Priestly, not any other real chief editor, because it has to be an original for it to be interesting. Even though Devil Wears Prada originated as a book and it was in reference to Anna Wintour, I was not trying to recreate Anna Wintour. By no means. I was putting together a new formula that included very strongly the script and Meryl Streep. After meeting with her and talking with her, having a dialogue back and forth, you start to educate yourself . It's really important. Dressing is personal. I'd like to think that part of my formula, if possible, is finding any parallel lines between the character and the actor. If I can abstract those parallel lines and stay with them it becomes more organic and believable. Meryl had very good ideas that I liked very much, including her white hair, because I felt the white hair was a great palette. I could put anything to it. It was dynamic. That's an example of the kind of collaboration that I'm talking about. Some actors come with many ideas, some actors come with less ideas and say, "You're the expert, dress me, I don't know anything about fashion." Getting back to Meryl Streep, I wanted to create a fashion editor portrayed by Meryl, so it was very important that I understood her body, her ideas, and so on. After this so-called "research," I came up with—based on Meryl Streep—I went into the archives of Donna Karan, because when she started in the '80s and the '90s, her silhouettes were classic, they held up in time, they fit women, they flattered women, they weren't difficult. You can't start putting difficult clothes on a person. They're actors: they have to move, they have to feel real. And Donna said "Yeah, go to my archives." I went to New Jersey where she has a warehouse and I went through racks and racks, and I brought a lot of pieces out from there, and we used a lot of those piece. I was really happy because they weren't recognizable. They allowed Meryl to create her style, and I knew that fit-wise they would be good. They wasn't constricting or an outlandish shape or something like that.

HB: And Donna is famous for her workwear anyway.
PF: Absolutely. And the fact that I was in the archives, it was not recognizable. It wasn't Donna Karan 2016. It was very important for me be in that zone because I wanted, when people saw Meryl in these outfits, for it to look completely as her original style and not be distracted by the current trend.
HB: It's timeless.
PF: It is and I think timelessness is a very important factor in whatever I do. That's what makes a classic. It's obvious what's timeless and what is not timeless, but you need time to find that answer. I used it a lot for her workwear—she wore other designers, of course—but that was the foundation. It allowed me to create a style around it because it didn't dictate the style. It went with everything, you could wear it so many ways. So that is one of the main factors about Meryl as Miranda Priestly—that she have her own unique style. Style has become very important, the whole idea of style, what your personal style is. It's your identity, and that's what we're creating here.
When it came to Annie Hathaway, of course I went through the same exercise. I met her—I had never met her before—she was a young girl, just graduated out of being a princess for Disney—other than her role in Brokeback Mountain, which I thought she did a really good job in—so she was excited and open to this new stage in her life as an actress. She was optimistic, she was happy. I took on whatever information I received from her, and it was all positive. So the story is, she's a writer and all of a sudden she gets this job as this big deal fashion editor and she has no background in fashion at all. She starts out looking a bit grungy, non fashion-conscious. And along the storyline she develops into a little fashionista. After my meeting with her and understanding her personality, I got the idea that she's a Chanel girl. And when I spoke to Chanel—and here we go again: classic—when I spoke to Chanel they were very happy. They wanted to put their clothes on a young girl. They were very happy to work with me, which was great because there's nothing like cooperation when you're trying to paint a picture and you have all your paints there, and in this case the paint was Chanel. So her transition from the beginning to the end fit her persona. So there's that parallel line that I was talking about—it's believable about her, her whole persona. She's not Versace, for example. The expression comes in the styling and how you handle it. You take the classic and you take it on a little styling trip and then it becomes individual, original, interesting.
20TH CENTURY FOX
Emily Blunt, she's another one, I love her. She's very outspoken, her lines are underscored, she can handle extremes very well. Just based on my meeting her—I would bring her things and how she would react to it—she was my actress who I could be a little bit more expressive. I could take some chances, some liberties, because she could handle it within the way she delivered this character. She delivered it boldly and very expressively, so I linked that up with the wardrobe. And Stanley, I really didn't have a clue about this character. I went to my wardrobe fitting and I walked out understanding this character 100%. That was wonderful. He's fantastic, he can play anything. He and Meryl are the same in that sense. They can do any role and I so respect the two of them for that. They're not typecast in anyway. That is an actor, as opposed to a type that becomes a celebrity.
HB: Did Meryl offer any other input into what her character was wearing, aside from the white hair?
ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
PF: Yes. Basically the process is, if she needs an outfit for a scene, I'm not gonna bring her one thing or she's gonna tell me this is what she wants. Based on the range of what she expresses and the range of what I bring her, I might bring her 10 different options she can choose. I think collaboration is extremely important in the process. And at the end of the day, I'm not on camera. Meryl is. The actor is. I think it's very important that they're involved. I never think of an actor as a model. A model wears what you tell them to wear, that's their job. An actor is different. It's important to work with the actor because in the end that's who the audience sees and that's the success that you need. Believable, great to look at, but it all has to come together. I notice a lot of people don't understand that aspect, they think it's more like fashion. I love to do fashion. I always put fashion in all of my storytelling because that's what I am, but I'm not selling clothes, I'm telling a story.
HB: Were those montage scenes particularly challenging? Gathering all those clothes and making sense as a whole?
PF: David Frankel, who is the director and writer and someone who I've worked with many times in the past—who I have a close relationship with—he would come into my office and say, "I just wrote a scene. It's a montage. Meryl is coming into the office and each time she comes into the office she throws another coat down and another coat down." And I go, "David, ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching!" Anyway, we did it. Those and the Annie montages in the street, those are some of the most remembered scenes. They were written after the main film script was written. They were add-ons as we were preparing. Also, I took David to Paris with me to couture. I said, "Come on, this is what you're gonna be shooting. You gotta come and see." We went and that really worked out very well. It inspired him.
HB: Did you design anything yourself for the film?
PF: I was asked to design a bag for Annie. It shifts into a clutch and has a circular handle that's part of the shape of the bag and it's got some fringe on it.
HB: Were there any designers that you were adamant about working with? Prada, Chanel
Valentino himself makes a cameo in the film.
PF: That was great, his cameo in the film. I love Valentino. I love his spirit, his love of life, his enjoyment of the whole experience. He's wonderful. I just landed on the designers as I got into the script and the actors. There were no imperatives. I used other designers besides the ones that I mentioned. But the main thing is, it's not about the designer as much as it's about the piece. Concerning Annie Hathaway, because she's in so much wardrobe, she had to have a style and I came up with the Chanel idea and that worked out. She didn't only wear Chanel. Same for Meryl regarding Donna Karan. Meryl wore some Prada, she wore different things. There wasn't just one thing. When Meryl went to work a lot of it was from the Donna Karan archive. It was important to me because in trying to create a style for this character, I didn't want the clothing to be current, on the runway or in the magazines, and be recognizable. I wanted it to be all Miranda Priestly, individual and original. It's like Anna Wintour has her own style, she's the original of it. Carine [Roitfeld], she has a completely different style, it's her style.
20TH CENTURY FOX
HB: What was your favorite look to put together?
PF: Going back I liked them all, but based on the reaction, I know that when Anne does that Chanel transformation with the mini checked skirt and the thigh-high boots, people loved it. I put a twist on Chanel but the Chanel was there.

HB: How was designing for The Devil Wears Prada different from Sex in the City, a very fashion-heavy series?
PF: Well it was a different story. It was a different situation. You had different actors. You have to deal with each of them individually and the characters they're playing. It's hard to compare them because they're entirely different. It's really difficult to in any way to compare them. They're much easier to contrast than to find similarity. Again, it depends on the actor. You have somebody like Sarah Jessica Parker, who is a fashionista. She loves fashion. And that's a perk! And she can come with ideas because she's thinking about it. She loves fashion. So the collaboration yields a bonus that way. She loved her role as a supermodel. She loves that. That's like a gift. It's not fashion first, it's storytelling first. And then I throw my fashion and style into it because that's what I know and that's what I do. When you have actors who can support it, it's great. Sarah Jessica could be wearing a pair of five-inch heels and she's running down the street and her feet don't touch the ground. That's a beautiful thing to see. I can't make that happen. That has to come out of the actor. I can only recognize it and utilize it, but if it's not there I can't make it happen. You have to deal with a certain reality and expand it in anyway you can.
JK: Are you surprised by the staying power of the film and how beloved and iconic it is ten years later?
PF: I'm very happily surprised. I never thought that this would become a classic on its own. I never really thought about it going in, "I'm gonna make this the most unforgettable movie." I just go in and do my job and be positive and have fun with it. If I'm not enjoying it, it doesn't happen.

Teaching children financial smarts a good investment
The UAE has a commendably business-friendly and entrepreneurial culture and yet like most countries it generally misses the trick of catching youngsters when they are most impressionable to give them a sound financial eduction.
It is not an original idea to call this innovation. Anybody familiar with Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book series, will have read all this before.
A report in The National last week about an hour-long financial literacy course run by Kids Finance Initiative on Saturday mornings in Dubai for two age groups, 9 to 11 and 12 to 14, caught my eye. The eight-week course for Dh640 looked like a great investment in the young minds.
I was lucky to be born in a business family. My parents were both start-up success stories, and I learnt everything around the kitchen table. When my school took us to visit a local bakery I asked how much it cost to make a bun and went back to tell my dad. “Son, that is called a profit,” he explained.
Not everybody can start this way. But instilling the basics of financial common sense in the young is a good idea.
For example, the simple principle of good and bad debts. A bad debt means that you get a product earlier than saving up for it but end up paying a lot more for it.
A good debt like a mortgage will enable you to live in a house and buy it at today’s price without having to put up the full amount. Rising house prices may make you rich over the long term.
That is already a little complicated for the first grader. How about how to open a bank account and download the iPhone app? What services do banks offer? And how will they try to take away your money if you let them?
Managing your pocket money is a very good way to appreciate how to handle much larger amounts later in life. The world’s second richest man, Warren Buffett, did just that.
An interesting case study would be to ask what would you do if you won a lottery? I did win the Premium Bonds in the UK once as a child, and can still remember the thrill of being able to buy anything in the toy shop.
In the end I decided to spend half the money – and half of that on my brother and sister to keep them happy – and reinvested the rest in Premium Bonds, money I never saw again as the certificates got lost.
Credit cards alone would definitely be worth a one-hour lesson. What does a credit limit actually mean? Where does the money come from? Is it for free? How is it different from a debit card?
Years ago the head of a UAE credit card company told me his firm was making a fortune out of people who did not know the difference between a credit and debit card. Think of all that interest paid on cash withdrawals on a credit card.
It is by getting the basics right early on that consumers will also become sceptical about the claims of financial fraudsters and charlatans.
How was it that so many airline cabin crew in the UAE, usually bright and well educated, fell for a foreign exchange scam recently that was offering to double their money in a short period?
Anybody with half a wit might ask: “well, how are they going to do that legally?” For older children some cautionary tales of the great financial fraudsters of our time would make an interesting end to any course in financial education.
How does a Ponzi scheme work? It sounds like a mathematical puzzle but really only amounts to paying winnings out of early receipts to encourage greedy people to invest.
These were not things I learnt about as a child, but the world was a much simpler and more honest place then – or was it? Human nature does not change very much over time.
Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad books take this basic financial education a step further with the rudiments of capital accumulation and entrepreneurship.
That’s the point really, this is just another step on the same ladder of financial success. But you need to get your foot on the ladder first, and that is probably best achieved by financial education at a rather tender age, in my humble opinion.
