you see each other every day and he’s the bane of your existence. he gives you the ick, from his stupid hair to his stupid mouth to the stupid way he stands so tall above you. like he’s just one of those guys that just knows how handsome he is and he’s expecting you to fall at his feet like all the rest of them. utterly repulsive. and the way he torments you, it’s like he knows how much you hate him and he’s doing it on purpose just to get a rise out of you. he started this whole thing, really. you would’ve been happy to be a quiet hater, but he just had to instigate.

now every day is like a new exercise in how much of a bitch you can be to him, and you relish in it. it’s absolutely fucking delightful, like an outlet for all the anger you’ve been holding onto all of your life. he didn’t know there were so many different ways to be called an idiot, but you find a new creative way to do it nearly every day. why is he so obsessed with annoying you? maybe it’s enriching for his simple mind. if you ask him directly, he’ll say it’s because you’re like an annoying little sister. then he’ll try to grab you and lick your face, sending you running away gagging. he annoys you to no end. every opportunity that opens up to punch or slap him, you take. every opportunity to gross you out and make you make that scrunchy face, he takes. you two are a match made in hell. you even hate it even when he makes you laugh, because fuck him for being funny when you’re trying to be annoyed.

despite all of this, the synergy between you two when working together is unmatched. shit just gets done when you two are on the same team, even if you spend the entire time quipping back and forth, biting at each other. but when you both crack down and focus, it’s like you don’t even need words to communicate. you can read the other’s thoughts and know exactly where you’re needed, bouncing off of one another effortlessly.

people start to point out how as much as you say you hate each other, you two have become glued at the hip. constantly working together. talking to each other by the water cooler. eating lunch together, laughing and arguing interchangeably. someone suggests you two should start dating, another says he thought you two already had a thing going on. you both scoff.

Labor Day weekend was so fun who would come to my cookout? New set and look at the kitten 💕

i did finish my book today btw it was Dead Cat Tail Assassins and it was Fine. I don't think that author is for me, but I did enjoy it more than Djinn. There just. wasn't too much to say about it lol it had some funny bits, I liked Old Man, I didn't like how every time a new assasin was introduced theyre like "we don't know their past!" as if thats not a core part of being one of the Dead Cat Tail Assassins. The end was fun! The end was silly but it fit the rest of the book! It also left me saying ʷʰᵃᵗ ᵗʰᵉ ᶠᵘᶜᵏ which is always fun! I find myself more excited to read The Spellshop though. Maybe it was the wrong vibe for the moment. Don't know. Don't care to read it again.

Which of your characters are more likely to cook for a group of people and which ones will wait for someone to cook for them?

Ok so this feels like it should be a scale…..

So to elaborate under the cut;

Vel has like a small crowd of children he’s taking care of. Feeding a crowd is second nature- especially on limited ingredients and picky palettes. Everyone feels better with food in their belly.

Mochiie is an adventurer and often somehow ended up the guy maintaining whatever perpetual stews or making the call to stop for lunch- and then feeding everyone. He likes cooking! He likes baking and sharing the kitchen with others. It’s bonding ok.

Tuesday CAN cook but can’t necessarily eat, but he loves to be helpful/of use. Usually someone else steps up to the plate of cooking first, so he takes a kitchen assistant role. Is also the guy you can count on to drive to pick up food to save the delivery fee (or even hit multiple restaurants. What a guy 😭✨)

Tangy can almost cook but probably shouldn’t be trying to feed more than herself- her creations can end up somewhat peculiar and niche in both texture and taste; but SHE likes eating them, so there’s no harm in letting her feed herself.

Tag isn’t like, a super remarkable cook but between him and his twin he has a little more skill in making something stretch to feed an unexpected amount of people. Like turning 2 eggs and a handful of random veg and leftover cuts into a meal for 6 or whatever.

Ishi’li CAN cook, but Kizuna does it so often and enjoys it so much more that they’re kinda just “kitchen company” instead. And they like it that way!

Khor doesn’t have a ton of passion for cooking (he enjoys mixology! That’s different though.) so he can cook for people in a pinch but he’s not his own first choice. A meal for many made by him would hit the basics (meat/grain/veg) and probably be satisfying, but like…. Yknow. It’s no egg sandwich from the Bismarck.

Lev can cook eggs. And roast meat! And probably make some other simple meals….. but he wouldn’t enjoy the pressure or workload of trying to cook for a group.

Colette would rather snack on something or order takeout instead of cooking. That’s someone else’s job. Hand her a bag of Doritos.

Gemmini is also the sort to just get take out…… but it’s like hot rollers from the gas station. Everyone pick out and pay for their own meat tubes ok :/ she’s getting a hotdog with shredded carrot and onion and sriracha and honey.

Chuu literally created a robot (Tuesday) to cook for her. She doesn’t cook. She will starve if her MRE’s/Archon Loaf is out. Or chips. Like. She just won’t eat hot food if someone else doesn’t put in the effort to make it for her lmao.

Why are Vel and Gem + the Geneq twins on this list…? Cos I had ideas for em lmfao.

Who’s Vel? That’s a wild question. Isn’t it past your bedtime? Hes currently technically under re-construction along with all 5 of his kids, being a single father with your deceased friends children is painge. Technically, took Tangy in for a while pre-start of ARR.
