This all happened cos I wanted to pose people watching in a tree…. But there was like, no people at all? Not even a little bit? So I gathered as many people as I could find publicly available and then kinda, Scrimbled them around as little as possible because 25 actors is a LOT of. It’s a lot of everything. Don’t do that.

These were a lot of fun (and work, but less hard once I had the base template set up) and I think I managed to nail down their vibe without a bunch of letters ;v;'

Also; all the images here were taken by me! With the exception of Tangy, who uses the Mother Crystal image from the Wiki, Mochiie, who uses an HD image of the Eorzean world map, and Ishi’li, who uses a background from The World Ends With You. I even got my own job icon transparencies by taking pictures of the stickers on a black background and cutting them out

I DID IT! Group shot with the squad. :3 Closeups and sillies under the cut! Posing so many actors is always a challenge especially all touching/close together but I think I nailed it with all the little details and everything ^u^

The fellas are having some sorta group reading! I have no idea what book this is- maybe it's something Lev wrote about the WoL's? Or maybe it's a story from back in Thavnair that Mochiie read growing up- either way I think they're having a good time :3

Nothin better than some sturdy knee-thigh length boots for the dusty roads in Thanalan! And the Leonhart Jacket is a staple in Lev’s wardrobe- sleeves to keep the sun off his arms and a fur trim for when it’s chilly in the night. And he hardly ever takes off his Gloves; a must-have barrier for touching things with the scars on his hands. Who knows if it’s going to be too hot or too cold to touch? Not Lev!

This was a little mind melting to work out with so many actors, and wanting to capture a bit of everyone’s general energy in so doing even if some of these guys never actually interact XD

Lev has like -6 rizz but on purpose, he thinks flirting with women is A Manly Thing To Do and getting to second or even first base isn’t even the goal. Colette isn’t giving a singular fuck and claiming space, and also making sure Tangy isn’t flashing everybody her shorts. Tangy is delighted to be here with all her friends, Ishi is thriving, her skin is clear, crops watered, etc. peace sign! Mochi is feelin a lil overwhelmed but trying to look nice for the camera, Tuesday is vibing and mentally planning dinner while trying to look nice for the camera no matter what else is going on, and Chuu is pondering the immortality cycle of the crab.

beep beep QUESTION TIME!!!

what are each of your characters' favorite minion(s) and why? 👀

Bet you weren’t expecting SCREENSHOTS!!!! BAM…!! (I was trying to get into cozy town so these are speed-shots LOL it was a fun pseudo challenge gettin em all done in under an hour)

Chuu’s favorite Minion is the Toy Alexander: a moving mini replica of the time traveling Machine-God? and it’s kinda hot? It’s one of the few machines she didn’t build herself but only because Cid and the Ironworks rushed to do it before she could, fearing the features she’d put into a tiny war machina-Primal. It’s like an action figure to her. It’s set a hilarious precedent though, and she’s still waiting for her Miniature G-Warrior. Chop chop Garlond!

Tuesday’s favorite minion is Gigi, after he has a long talk with Keathan and he retires the Haurchefant Mammet for a spell, worrying for the negative impact it was having on his mental state. He finds a lot of kinship with Gigi, though, being black mage machines. …… he’s a little worried about what misadventures the Inspector is going to get up to next time, though. And that scrawny elezen and his dog, who seemed to conveniently be away whenever the Elezen Inspector Briardien came around….

Nobody knows where that little baby Buffalo came from. Nobody stopped Tangy from scooping it up under her arm like a little purse dog and taking it with her when they moved to the Rising Stones, either. It’s just a little guy! She couldn’t leave it there all alone. What if something like a Pelican tried to eat it… also, it’s cute, and round, and the Rising Stones could use a Mascot anyways.

Ishi’s favorite minion- that isn’t one of his increasing clowder of kitten adoptee’s- is the Odder Otter! He ADORES silly little mascot like creatures, so he jumped at the chance to have a little pal of his own to come on adventures. It even has its own little lantern! He might just cry thinking about it. When he finds out about the Abroader Otter he’s going to become inconsolable. Lmao.

The OOC origin behind Colette’s baby bat is when her and Setsuna first set off on their journey together in Ul’Dah, a stranger came and pressed Bats into their possession. It was baffling, and funny. The IC origin is fuzzier, only that Setsuna and Colette have had them since they first started adventuring and they’re probably attuned to each other in some way. Either way, here’s Colette and aptly named ‘Bat’.

Mochiie refuses to let anything bad happen to little Ryunosuke. Which is why he makes sure the jacket is on snug and fully when it’s raining, so the chick doesn’t run risk of catching cold while they’re traveling together. He has the problem Ishi has with adopting cats, but with Chocobo chicks. He’s pretty sure Ryunosuke is some kinda Hingan Pygmy breed, meant for Nobles to keep in their estates and on display, prized for their docile, lap-loving nature and silky plumage. He doesn’t get on very well with Cindy, or Sandy, but that’s not a huge surprise; the girls are strong personalities, spoiled with attention, and bigger, older birds from a breed meant for Combat, not pets. Mindy tolerates Ryunosuke but only because she knows he would fit perfectly in her mouth if she so chose to, and Mochi would be extremely upset in her if she did.

Levraut’s favorite minion is. Naturally. Canonball :’3 the scrappy little wolf pup saved from the brink of starvation and then fed up, spoiled with plenty of attention and poor manners. He’s stolen a fair number of unsuspecting sandwiches… Lev is going to have to teach him the thieves code one of these days or they’re both going to get in trouble lol.

Because you asked me about the theme songs: If you had to choose one for each of your OCs what would it be?

Goooood Morning! Or evening for you by now I think 🤔🥰 This’ll be easier for some than others B’3 (links will all be to YouTube videos hopefully!) thank you for the question this was a real thinker x3

So Levraut actually has a song we recently heard and went HOLY SHIT ITS LEV’S THEMESONG! Which would be [Creator, by Lena Raine] it has the mysterious suspense of the music box at the start, and then shifts into the cadence of something I associate with the Sea, which is something that sounds like Accordion ahaha (and then it further intensified with electric guitar, which isn’t usually in his soundscape, but it’s So Good)

For Tuesday I’d have to say my first choice is [Hello World, by Louie Zong] as far as songs that make me immediately associate with Tuesday lololol. The other song I have is [Waltz No. 2, Robot, by Hikaru Shirosu] it has, to me, the cadence of going shopping in a small market, but you’re still very ‘young’ in a sense, and small obstacles can feel like big obstacles 🫢 it’s also Piano, which is one of the instruments associated with Keathan! Who has a very heavy influence on Tuesday’s soundscape :3

For Chuusday…. Picking just one is rly hard… hm… it’s not on EITHER of her playlists I think, but [Home Beyond The Horizon by I think Masoyashi Soken and Daiki Ishikawa] Which is a song played on a crunchy, tinny radio. She’s not patriotic, but it was too large a part of her life for it to not have had some major impacts on her, lol. For a less/more serious song (???) I’d say [Hardware Store by Weird Al Yankovic]. It’s got. The vibe. LMAO.

Tangy is also hard to pin down, but I think [Fell In Love With A Girl, by White Stripes] does a pretty good job of suiting both the vibe and at least a Lil Bit the lyrics [because the first three lines remind me of Minfilia and Tangy :/ not that I ship them explicit romantic 100% of the time, but it coulda been. It coulda.]

However I do offer the song from [this post] because it reminds me Thavnair, so the real answer is I have a lot of music in Urdu I need to listen to and figure out his vibe LOL. I found the song in particular after scouring the notes though! Swydghem actually has songs because I listened to a playlist on basically endless loop while writing so even though it’s Baldurs Gate [Down By The River composed by Borislav Slavov] always makes me think of her LOL… Solkmyna gets slightly more associated with [How The Tide Rushes In by Anne Dudley] Jojoha doesn’t have a particular soundscape yet because it overlaps with Levraut regularly😅 (at least in terms of; the Dreadnaughts, which is one of the bands I listen to for him lmao.)

Colette is my monster hunter/Ffxiv cross oc and while I haven’t really given her a whole lotta thought I think [I Want It All by Arctic Monkeys] could definitely fit her vibe, lol. She’s someone else on my to-do for music thoughts, just a little further down the line from Ishi and Mochi uvu;

So! This is such an interesting question I’ve never actually thought about it before 🫢 (how exciting)

Chuu has a fear of pits where you can’t see the bottom, and quicksand. Not that quicksand is often actually a danger in day-to-day life, but the idea of being sucked under and- dying, essentially. Surprisingly ok with deep water and heights, though.

Tuesdays fear is deep water, because… he can’t really, ah, swim. He sinks, like a stone. And he’s not so much afraid as he is creeped out by things that are not human but DO have human-like faces. Like [Deidar] or the [Fishman] from Windwaker (worse, if they don’t behave in a human fashion, or they come close but it’s Wrong)

Mochiie has a fear of bug stings/bites- he’s not allergic, but he knows enough about toxins to be alarmed if he doesn’t know what just got him. 🫢 yet he’ll still handle bugs, just… cautiously.

Tangy is afraid of Magitek War Machina. Over time she gets to the point where she doesn’t seize up at the clunk of their heavy mechanical legs or the whirr of their engines, but it still sets her fur on end. Going to Chuu’s workshop is an overwhelming hellscape (so it’s good their meetings were in a quieter part of the FC house…)

Colette claims she’s not afraid of anything. Not a damn thing. She’s very freaked out by spiders, though, in a ‘set the whole house on fire’ kinda way. Someone else has to safely remove the poor creature before she DOES accidentally burn the house down casting Flare. She’s been getting better, but it’s down to a very rapid exit of the room no matter the case. [Belladonna] in Saint Mocianes Arboretum was a nightmare- but at least she was allowed to blast it to pieces.

Ishi’li … mm.. They’re tough. Before Eorzea he was afraid of cockroaches? Freaked out by the sensation of bugs crawling on him too. But after being in Eorzea and camping a bunch and getting slimed/torched/waterboarded/blown about/All the other crazy shit that happens to the poor WoL in battle… cockroaches don’t seem so scary anymore? The Gnath are literally giant talking bugs… I think they’re afraid of real deep water though. Like where you can’t see the bottom? It’s hard to say he’s afraid of Krakens but I think he might be a little bit.

Levraut is freeze-sometimes-faint afraid of Dragons. If it’s anything bigger than a Chocobo his knees are rattlin’. He tries to put on a real brave face about it, but…. It’s a hard hurdle to cope with. Their teeth, the vaguely sulfuric hint to their breath, the piercing eyes, the ripping talons…. Yeah, he just can’t. Au’ra are fine, after he’s met a handful. But the first one… 🫢 they had to get him smelling salts.

Okay, what is the most huggable creature for all YOUR characters? :D

Oh this is gonna b kinda silly so hold on to your seat or s/t 🫣 (Ty for the questionnnn I needed the distraction and something to keep me awake a little longer heheheh!)

Chuu: Carbuncle; became a summoner almost exclusively to be able to summon her own. They don’t need to eat or sleep since it’s sustained off your own aether so it’s like, the perfect pet for someone who’s idealized form is the flawed beauty of the Machine. Her other most huggable creature is This Thing, one of the Stubby Models whose name I can NOT finds

Tuesday: is a simple guy. He thinks Peatie is the most huggable creature secondary only to June, his faithful and graciously patient Chocobo. They’re both pink, which is a hilarious coincidence.

Tangy: I mentioned in a previous post she’d enjoy having a Dodo/Pudgy Puk/Ahriman plush and that still holds, but I think she’d find Tonberries the most huggable. They’re not necessarily creatures, though,

Mochiie: hands down, finds Chocobos the most huggable creature in all the land. Their big round eyes. Their razor sharp talons. Their bone snapping beaks. The soft downy feathers!!! Can be also be swayed with horses, and Steppe-Dzo.

Colette: Behemoth. It is… Big Uppy Goggy. Reminds her of the [Magnamalo] which is also not very Actually huggable Tbf, but I think Colette could find a way to make it happen anyways.

Ishi’li: wants to hug a Coeurl and Not Die. Wants to hug one so bad. Wdym they’re full out danger electricity cats. :( they are so KITTY… is also extremely charmed by the Odder Otter, lol.

Levraut: finds [Canonball] the most huggable, an act of absolutely no bias whatsoever, definitely. (He also thinks Namazu look huggable, in that like… Cute Aggression way, where he kinda wants to hug one tight enough it makes a squeaking noise)

Chuu sleeps anywhere any which way. Tuesday’s learned to not try to move her to any kind of bed or horizontal position, she’s sleeping fine where she is and when she wakes up if she’s been moved it throws off her groove, especially if she was in the middle of something lmao. If she CHOOSES to go to bed, she wears a big ol shirt and gets all cozied up under a weighted blanket with an eye mask and sleeps for 16 hours. [If her wife is home, she’s laying on-top of her like a blanket because she’s warm, lmao. Chuu is become Weighted Blanket]

Tuesday doesn’t need to sleep in the classical sense, but he does use ‘sleep time’ in the way human brains do; to sort and compartmentalize/toss out things from the last time he’s ‘slept’. (He tends to find a quiet place to do this, the FC house has a custom built ‘nap room’ with alcove beds he’ll use if he’s around home base. Otherwise he’ll even just find a chair in the corner and ‘doze’ for an hour. (Keathan likes to curl up on him from what I remember, because he’s warm, and relatively comfortable. And sometimes the sleepies just Getcha when you’re running all over creation.)

Ishi’li enjoys the fact that they can curl up into a little ball of Miqo’te if they’re having to sleep alone, but at a certain point she starts sharing a bed with Kizuna, who tends to hold her with his tail. And arms. They become a tangled octopus of limbs. LMAO. Purrs sometimes in his sleep. Really needs someplace soft/a bedroll to sleep, isn’t so good at just sleeping wherever on the ground.

Mochiie sleeps sprawled out flat on his back like a starfish in bed, but he’ll also sleep sitting up in armchairs or propped up against a dozen pillows. Or. Leaned up against Mindy with her big Chocobo head in his lap, lmao. He doesn’t tend to want/need a blanket but he does like sleeping in silken pants. 🥰 (he’ll bully Urianger away from staying up late studying to come lay with him in bed…. Only for Mochi to fall asleep and Urianger to just sit up reading with Au’ra deadweight leaned on him. Lmao)

Levraut wants to wear full pajamas to bed (nightcap, long shirt, pants… yknow, the Pajama Set. LMAO. His has Chocobo’s on it.) he snores, but claims he doesn’t. He’s a stomach sleeper, keeping his journal or whatever book he was reading shoved under his pillow (or AS his pillow, if he’s sleeping on a bedroll, hdjdjdjs) he sleeps best in a hammock on board a ship, but he lays on his back or side in those (the side sleeping makes his back complain a little bit he’s young, within the hour he’s stretched whatever cramps or aches out)

Colette! Sleeps best when Setsuna is curled up under her arm, pokey horns be damned. If she’s curled at her side then there’s no chance she’s in any danger. She sleeps naked, because every big comfy shirt for sleeping ends up mysteriously on Setsuna or in her possession, lmfao. She just gave up at some point. (I don’t talk much about Colette or her charge, they’re kinda background brain radiation, but Colette’s fun uvu!)

Tangy sleeps best when other people are around (either also sleeping or just doing stuff in the same room, background noise helps her best) she sprawls out on top of a soft surface (usually her bed) and falls asleep like someone tossed her already unconscious body there. As a Miqo’te she snores somethin’ fierce and awful, but her change into a Hrothgar seems to have fixed whatever was causing it more or less, and she’s now relatively quiet. (Sometimes she growls in her sleep though like dogs do when they’re dreaming!) she would very gladly cozy up in bed with a bunch of people for a big sleepover situation! Push all the beds together pile up all the blankets and pillows…

As a final little bonus; Jojoha sleeps sitting up with a dagger in hand, wary and ready, even when the chance of danger is very small. Solkmyna struggles to sleep on even good days, struggling with nightmares, and sleeps flat on his back like the dead when he does manage to fall asleep. Swydghem sleeps worryingly deep, a side effect of being under the effects of Sleep related spells and medicines. She also sleeps like a corpse, with her arms folded over her chest. Viking funeral style. Both Solk and Ghem sleep better when they’re in the same bed together following her recovery. Jojoha tries to never sleep at the same time as them when they’re staying together, so she can keep watch for. Anything. They’ve had enough misfortune in their lives; she’d rather at least warn them before it strikes again.

Levraut & The Count (de Fortemps) for the NPC thoughts ask game!

“When I become a knight, I hope to serve the Fortemps Family. Honorable, Wise, and Count Fortemps has been known to look beyond a man’s birth- he’s even proud of his bastard, though he doesn’t show it as openly, you can tell. Aaaand… my Father doesn’t like him much. Which has to mean something, right? This expedition, I’ll prove my worth, get your citizenship, and be allowed to properly train to become a knight instead of being forced to learn etiquette and history and how to sit with my ankles uncrossed.” [Levraut, to his childhood friend, aged 15]

Which is to say, Before ‘The Expedition’, Count Edmont was someone Levraut respected, viewed as a sort of role model even if it was somewhat for spite. After the Expedition and his subsequent escape from Ishgard (to leave an oppressive home life and there was nothing left for him to stay for, really, the knighthood dream was in tatters and his friend+friends father had been hailed for heretics and their house out to torch. Fate unknown.*).

His eventual return to Ishgard has him view Count Fortemps with apprehension, worried he’ll be recognized as the child who ‘was kidnapped by heretics’ (staged by himself) all those years ago. (And I’m not sure yet how things develop from there ahaha… though I imagine in the Lev WoL-Au, Edmont becomes a sort of partial father figure in Levraut’s mind, whether Edmont recognizes it or not. In the Non-WoL Lev keeps distance for as long as possible to avoid recognition, to the point of awkward confrontation.)

Lev thinks a number of Etiquettes are, not, dumb, but frustrating or pointless. And after fleeing Ishgard he DOES put his elbows on the table. For like. Every meal. [because forgetting could send hot food into his lap if he’s traveling and the ship pitches ya know ] He also thinks it’s silly that to sit with your knees apart is an offense to Nobility and The Church- regardless of gender. [He does, however, still sit and tuck his legs tidily together at an angle partially under his chair if he’s feeling the pressure of his nerves. He falls back on Old Habits and even picks up an accent!] And he knows Silverware table etiquettes …… but a fork is a fork is a fork. And a spoon is sometimes just a different shape. He’d be hard pressed to bother. …. I suppose those aren’t that common… hmmm…

Chuu keeps in contact with No One from Garlemald except Cid, and begrudging Nero Is There sometimes and she’ll take any opportunity to upstage him. It’s definitely because he founds the IronWorks and keeps getting up to interesting problems and solutions and tech. And, that’s sorta her Nephew (Not By Blood Or Anything That’s Just How She Views Him) 🤔 I wouldn’t say it’s Malicious… at least not on purpose… She does end up BACK in contact with Gaius though, because of Cid and the Weapons. They don’t… talk much? Chuu’s not the person to talk to about your Grief over losing adopted children raised into turbo abused soldiers. She keeps his number “just in case”, though it’s unclear to even her if that “case” is for nostalgic reasons or for actual future intents.

Mochiie picks up a lot of hobbies 🥰✨ As a kid in Thavnair when he wasn’t playing pretend with wooden swords and climbing atop untamed Dodo’s he was learning to identify various plants. To help his Mom, sure, but it was also fascinating how many kinds of plant there were, and how they could all do something different based on how you prepped it/which part you used… and he learns Horseback Archery from the Steppe [something I keep intending to pose on Chocobo back and just FORGETTING….🤦✨] 🤔 Most of the hobbies he picks up tie back to his family, divided across two places as it was. Even cooking ties back to Family. The guy craves community like a house plant craves the sun and presses itself against the window pane. He’ll try anything once if there’s someone willing/wanting to teach, too, having a new skill is always useful… he’ll always come back to gardening/botany and Chocobo rearing though. (Because they feed into each other, in a fashion)
