The Savannah Python Master of Hunting And Swallowing
The Savannah Python: An Astonishing Display of Hunting and Swallowing Techniques
The Savannah python is a remarkable predator, renowned for its impressive hunting skills and unique method of capturing prey. In the vast grasslands of Africa, this powerful snake employs a combination of stealth and strength to ambush its victims. Once it identifies a target, the Savannah python strikes with incredible speed, wrapping its muscular body around the prey to constrict and immobilize it. This technique not only ensures a successful catch but also highlights the python's adaptability as a top predator in its ecosystem. The thrill of witnessing this process in action is a testament to the raw power and efficiency of one of nature's most fascinating hunters. Visit https://nisafari.com for travel tips and guides.
After successfully subduing its prey, the Savannah python showcases an extraordinary rolling and swallowing process that captivates onlookers. With its highly flexible jaws, the python can consume animals much larger than its own head, allowing it to enjoy a varied diet that includes rodents, birds, and even larger mammals. The swallowing technique involves a series of coordinated movements, as the python gradually works the prey into its body, using its powerful muscles to aid in the process. This remarkable ability not only demonstrates the python's evolutionary adaptations but also emphasizes its crucial role in maintaining the balance of the savannah ecosystem. Observing this incredible display of nature's ingenuity offers a deeper appreciation for the intricate relationships between predators and their prey.

Klik... we were about to release concerning news... but it seems to have resolved itself, everydrone.
The Coyul Warlord "Strong" escaped from Qenik forces yesterday after a jailbreak of Strong loyalists, and the snakehunt was thought to be a lost cause until we reached out to the Tactician to track Strong's implants, and they offered the Engineer's assistance, who promptly traced the rogue Warlord, leading Qenik forces to a system of caves near Mount Exile.
Tumblr media
But when the Qenik found Warlord Strong and their allies, they were all already dead, Strong was evidently slain by a vibesword wound to the head, the others had similar wounds.
The Qenik report that there's no evidence of other Coyul being there, no tail trails. But there is evidence of an Aradak presence, claw prints of one Aradak drone, with a shed piece of chitin found at the scene. Its coloration suggests whatever Aradak were there were of the Giat dynasty and likely a hunter or a worker.
How a hunter or a worker would use a Coyul vibesword or could single-handedly take out some of the strongest Coyul isn't known and investigations are ongoing.
That being said, this one is relieved that Strong is finally gone.

Just finished one of my own! Only spent like 40 mins on this while I’m feeding my dog, so it’s not the best
Sorry for the shitty handwriting lol
Tumblr media
But Snakehunter is a blind warrior! The “snake” comes from the snake-like pattern on his forelegs, while “hunter” comes from how good of a hunter he is, plus the fact he can hunt snakes by listening to the sound of them move
I wanted to make him have a really complicated pattern, so I went with a combo of a couple different patterns!
He’s a chocolate and flame mink point, but is also a chimera, which basically means he can has two different designs! (It’s more complicated then that but this is the simple version lol.) His second pattern is a genetic mutation, making his fur blue and ginger tabby! They also have some low white spotting, along with some random scars, like a burnt paw
Overall, I believe the pattern is technically genetically possible, but is so rare it would never happen lol
Well, black eyes aren’t actually something that cats can have, so that part isn’t accurate lol
He’s also a grumpy lil dude
Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyone remember the warrior cats meme thing i make like, two years ago? i remade it !!! here's the template + my version!

Settlement: The River-Town of Ollard’s Take
Charming countryside, lovely people, just don’t expect to get a good deal down at the local market. These people come from raider stock after all, they’re used to driving a hard bargain.
-Letters from a wandering astronomer
Setup: Back in his day, Ollard “the Oarbreaker” was a captain among a barbarian horde who’s rampage across the continent is still spoken of well over a century later. Unlike his fellow plunderers, who were largely lost to time (and the spears of the people they sought to enslave) Ollard realized that the greatest treasure he could set his hands upon was the river his people had used to range so far inland and settled his forces, rich with plunder and supplies, upon a lake that divided the coastal region from the territory’s heartland.  When his kinsmen returned next raiding season, Ollard charged them for the privilege of accessing their preferred stomping grounds, even denying them if his price wasn’t met. Over generations this tithe evolved into a protection deal with the people of the heartland, and the foundation by which the house of Ollard became a powerful vassal of the then ascendant crown.
Today, Ollard’s take is a hub for traders and travelers, the exact sort of place a group of adventures might want to post up while looking for their next job. Though a bit rough and tumble in places, the people of the Take respect those who win glory for themselves, making them far less likely to chase the party off like the rablerousers and troublemakers they are.
Adventure Hooks
Though the Take itself is prosperous, the lands beyond the rivers northern bank have been largely abandoned since the raider wars, boasting all manner of ruined villages and keeps ripe for exploration. There’s always rumors that the house of Ollard will redevelop these lands, but its almost as if there is some force keeping people out of the retaken forest that prevents such an expansion.
Without a doubt, the best place to get a drink in town is the Splitting Hare, easily identified by the sign of a rabbit chopping firewood over the door.  Here, the sounds of reveling merchants and mercenaries mixes with the thuds of throwing axes hitting their target, as the cheers of onlookers spill out into the attached mooringyard. Here the party might get hired as a trader’s escort, or be able to pick up the strange gossip from both up and down the river.
The appearance of a great, scaly beast in the Waterways surrounding the take seems to have everyone on edge, though the party are receiving conflicting information. The town’s merchants want it dead, but the baron and baroness that rule the take have yet to post any kind of bounty. Instead, their daughter has taken it upon herself to hunt the beast, possibly asking the party (should they have earned themselves enough fame) to join her crew.
Further Adventures:
Seeking to bind the often maverick house of Ollard more tightly to the kingdom, the local peerage have conspired to wed the raider’s heir (Linea) to the charming and poetically minded firstborn of a neighboring Countess (Tyric). Unfortunately for the stability of the realm, not only did these two make a bad first impression on the other, Tyric was forced to break off a dalliance he was having with a fey he’d met while out on a hunt once he learned he was due to wed, and ended up transformed into a marauding river serpent for his slight. Delighted at the prospect of not only avoiding a marriage but living up to her ancestor’s reputation as a slayer of beasts, Linea has taken Ollard’s hunt and set out on a snakehunt, leaving her parents to fret over the war she might start with her bloodthirst.
The Countess is quite concerned about her son’s absence, and has dispatched both emissaries to the baron’s court and agents to scour the Take for secrets. One of these agents, more a clever hook than a blunt instrument tries to use the party and their established reputation in the town to get the answers they seek. To his mind, several of Ollard’s descendants were notorious for taking hostages to ransom or to secure the Take’s independence in the ascendant kingdom, and he’s sure the current Baron and Baroness are’t much above kidnapping his patron’s heir to avoid feudal entanglements.
Some time after the threat of the serpent is introduced, the party will be approached by a wealthy river merchant who claims to be in possession of an unbreakable net and a beast luring flute, and is willing to pay the party good coin if they help him wrangle the beast to shore.  By then the party will have been made well aware of Linea’s desire to slay the beast, and will have to weigh the gratuity of a trader against the gratitude of a future baroness. In reality this well equipped merchant is Tyric’s fey lover, Cackler, who sees all this chaos as a lesson for her beloved. Surely after he’s devoured his betrothed, he’ll come to his senses and see that the duties of his mortal life are so much less important than the youthful promises he made to her, right?
If the party acquit themselves well (Saving Tyric from either of his ladies, avoiding a diplomatic incident, keeping Linea’s parents well informed rather than conspiring with a reckless teenager), the house of Ollard will see them rewarded with both a knighthood ( were eligible) and a keep. This will give the party lands and income far beyond what they could usually make with mercenary work, but will tie them inexorably to the Take and the family that rules it.

The Lore of Kaldheim: The Kannah
The Aldergard
Tumblr media
“The Aldergard is an ancient forest of pine, yew, and deciduous trees stretching between the fields of the Feltmark, on the west and south, and the slopes of the Tusk Mountains on the east. The edges of the forest are sun-dappled and welcoming, but toward the center, the trees grow together into a seamless twilight canopy.
Kannah
Tumblr media
The forest is home to the nomadic Kannah clan, who maintain temporary settlements in the forest but regularly send groups on exploratory expeditions. Some such expeditions even extend into other realms as the Kannah search tirelessly for a path to Starnheim. The Aldergard is so large that some Kannah wander for years without ever leaving the forest.
Near the eastern edge of the forest, in the highlands rising into the Tusk Mountains, stands the Cursed Tree—a massive oak that is perpetually covered in snow. Kannah sagas say that this is the site where a god cursed them to remain forever in the Aldergard, with no hope of entering the hallowed halls of Starnheim. If the Kannah leave the forest, winter follows them and torments them with constant, increasing snowfall, eventually making forward progress impossible and forcing them to turn back. The Kannah maintain a small settlement near the Cursed Tree, where they perform runic rituals in hopes that one day the curse will be lifted.
The Kannah are led by Fynn the Snakehunter, the only human who has ever managed to wound the Cosmos Serpent.
Cursed and Cursing
When the Skoti defeated the Einir, the Kannah were hopeful that their curse might be lifted, and they pled their case to the new reigning gods. But the Skoti were busy with their own boasting and squabbling and paid no attention to the cries of the Kannah, so the curse lingers.
Thanks to their ill treatment at the hands of divine beings, the Kannah despise anything related to gods, including the Cosmos monsters. They believe that killing the Cosmos Serpent will give them enough power to rise up and destroy the Skoti, end the curse at last, and claim Starnheim for themselves.”

Instagram finds.
First one is one hell of a random crossover from philbarnes28.
Second one by  #christophwaltz looks like it might be a good irl design for the movie characters...if that G.I. Joe 3: Ever Vigilant comes out.
Third one is a goofy design by b_turner art. The twins look happy and crazy, just like I likes them.
Hopefully we see some twin action in the Snakehunt series of comics coming out.

Driven 100 MPH - Yes, and we're not telling my mother that.
Ridden in a helicopter - No. >< Which sucks because I want to. I especially want that action movie moment while I (securely strapped in) lean out the open side door and get to see the ground.
Gone zip lining - No. *sulk* And after watching "Medicine Man" as a youngling, I really wanted to.
Been to an NFL game - No. The only "professional" sports I've ever seen were the Diablos baseball games my parents occasionally took me to.
Been to Canada - Tooooooooooo far north for me to reach.
Visited Florida - While the crocs are VERY enticing, that's ... really about it.
Visited Mexico - Repeatedly! I mean... I grew up on the border, so...
Visited Las Vegas - Once! A whirlwind 24 hour trip to see the Scorpions in concert. {WORTH IT.}
Eaten alone at a restaurant - Yes because I have no problem at all doing things by myself. Also lazing on an outdoor patio with a cappuccino and delectable pastry while reading a book uninterrupted is fabulous.
Ability to read music - Not even a little. The little symbols are pretty though!
Ridden a motorcycle - Many a times because my father bought a Harley Softtail (in Aztec Bronze, and yes, that was a continual running joke in my family). I also got my BFF to take her first (brief) motorcycle ride from a random friendly stranger on our college campus when my car ran out of gas and we were pushing it to the nearest gas station.
Ridden a horse - Also many a times! Friends of my family had horses and for a few years, I was on a horse every weekend. I also took English riding classes in college.
Stayed in a hospital - Once for an appendectomy (involuntary) and once when my high school friend had ovarian cyst issues, so I stayed with her so she wouldn't feel alone/scared.
Donated blood - I should, but I don't even know my blood type and you get a needle near me, we're gonna fite.
Been snow skiing - I am neither graceful nor athletic and dislike the cold, so I've not availed myself of the slopes here in New Mexico. (Yes, we have ski slopes in New Mexico.)
Been to Disney World - Nope!
Been to Disney Land - Nope! But my BROTHER has gone, my PARENTS have gone and even cheekily sent me photos of my mother hugging Donald Duck before I've ever had the chance. So I may very well never go just to use that as something to whine about to my mom. (We're an odd family.)
Slept outside - Many, many "camping trips" (snakehunting trips) were taken when I was a wee lass, so yup! Even if I usually ended up being told to get into the pickup truck's cab because no one wanted to hear me complain about being too cold or bitten by bugs.
Driven a stick shift - For years and lemme tell you, a 2 hour lesson in a parking lot does not prepare you for handling a standard shift Neon in college peak hour traffic on hills.
Ridden in an 18 wheeler - Yup! Friends of the family had a couple used for their home business and we often rode along on brief trips to nearby cities.
Ridden in a police car - Not for lack of trying.
Driven a boat - No. Nope. Will not. Will nOT. Fuck you and your watery ways.
Eaten escargot - Yes and they tasted like garlicky mushrooms. Quite tasty!
Been on a cruise - See above with "fuck you and your watery ways." I will NOT go into or on the ocean.
Run out of gas - See way above re. "ridden a motorcycle."
Been on TV - You can't prove anything.
Eaten sushi - Many, many times. A couple of restaurants in the city near where I grew up/went to college knew me and my friends by name for that reason.
Seen a UFO - Not for lack of trying. I WAS an X-Philer as a youngling.
Been bungie jumping - NOT YET.
Been stuck in the house for days - My parents worked year-round and I had summer vacation off from school while living in a rural area. Needless to say, I got into a lot of mishaps.
