Beautiful Butterflies and Colorful Flowers are Here for Summer
Beautiful Butterflies and Colorful Flowers are Here for Summer shows readers a beautiful male fiery skipper feeding from an Indian blanket flower. It also explains why the author/artist was so taken by the colors at the scene.
Saffron and Fuchsia The first day of summer is just around the corner and central Florida is ready. Since we’re starting to get some rain, the wildflowers have been popping up all over and the pollinators are out in force. On Friday I spotted these gorgeous red and yellow Indian blanket (Gaillardia pulchella) flowers. When I stopped to get some photos I also found a whole host of fiery skippers…

can we talk about the alternative vinyl design for 2x7????

Don't get me wrong, I loved the one we got. Especially since it's more subtly replacing the Jinx & Vi design, but this looks so amazing.
I love the colors. I love how at peace the two look in eachothers arms. I love that they included the blue smoke tattoos and the clockwork design.

Toyota Sera, 1990. First shown as the AXV-II concept (which was very close to production ready) the Sera was a Japanese market only coupé based on the platform of the Paseo and Starlet. The Sera's butterfly doors were hinged at the top centre of the windscreen, and bottom of the A pillar to open forward and up in a similar manner to the McLaren F1 - the F1's designer Gordon Murray has cited the Sera as the inspiration of the McLaren's door configuration. Many have subsequently been exported from Japan, primarily to other right-hand-drive markets (no left-steer Seras ever left the factory). It was not directly replaced when it was discontinued in 1995

Colorful Bean Leaf Rollers are Back in Florida
Roller Flight Here in central Florida we have lots of gorgeous butterflies of all sorts of shapes and sizes. Most we see throughout the spring and into the late fall or mainly in the spring and fall with just a few being around in the middle of the summer. The bean leaf roller butterfly or long tailed skipper(Urbanus proteus), however is only seen in Florida in the fall. They happen to be one of…

I caught this rambunctious creature flying around the kitchen. Outside you go.
Life pro tip: a cheap butterfly net with telescoping handle is excellent for relocating small friends, especially if they’re skittish and obsessed with the ceiling.

Hey! Could you ID some of these for me?

These four. ^^ The top two and the bottom left one I all found at home. I think I may know what the bottom left one is, as I found the caterpillar and hatched it myself. But I just wanted to be extra sure. (Right after I took that picture it flew off in our house. I managed to catch it and released it outside after Lol) And the bottom right one I found on a road trip a year or two ago, in Sioux Falls in September. It stuck out so much in the green grass. 😂 First thought it was like an ablino woolly bear or something. So I thought I would ask about it. The bottom three below this are just extra. I took them in butterfly houses and wanted to show you them too. ^^ Tysm. 💜

Hello! Thank you for letting me know your home location via IM.
Your friends here are a blinded sphinx moth, a Chinese mantis, a small/cabbage white butterfly (Pieris rapae), and a Virginian tiger moth caterpillar.
Love the butterflies as well! Always fun to visit a butterfly house and be surrounded by flappy friends.
