I had to do the exiled queen ending where Sans and Papyrus keep Toriel company in the ruins. I'm going to be real with you, I've only ever played the pacifist route. So everything I know about other routes is from the internet. That said, despite my lack of personal experience to give my opinion credibility, I still think the neutral routes are underrated and this one in particular could make such fun fan works. Their dynamic... Toriel literally had a joke ready and prepared just in case the impossible happened and she for some reason met Papyrus. Like!!! Papyrus and Toriel would do mayonnaise treatments together. They could debate about spike puzzles and discuss books. I've seen the trope of Papyrus and Toriel getting competitive over Sans's attention but listen. Look deep into my eyes. Sans and Toriel would get competitive over Papyrus's attention. And it would be glorious, they would all have so much fun.

And like,,, the guilt that comes with being happy again after suffering the kind of losses they each have... I am insane I am insane I am insane!!!

So anyway here they are all in a cuddle pile listening to Sans read a story. He does the voices and everything, it rules.
