Started rereading a fic I started reading like, two years ago, and James referred to Regulus as his "brother" and I had a stroke

why it is that when people are writing a fic for a certain character they add tags for different characters. Like if it’s a fic for Tom riddle x reader, they add tags for Malloy x reader or Harry x reader, EVEN X OC. SOMETIMES EVEN CHARACTERS THAT ARENT EVEN IN THE SAME SHOW/MOVIE/COMIC.

Also, if it’s a poly fic, you shouldn’t be adding regular tags like the ones I said earlier. You should only be adding ones like this for example:

Poly!maruaders x reader OR Remus x Sirius x James x reader.

NOT!!! Each character with the reader or oc.

Adding other characters in this way in the tags, from what I’ve seen, was never a thing until around just last year.

LIKE YALL PLEASE STOP ADDING TAGS THAT ARENT PART OF THAT SPECIFIC FIC.

“You did. You did provoke me and you know that for a fucking fact.”

“Well, there weren’t any eyewitnesses. Nobody would know. It’s your word against mine.”

“I’ve been here for a while. You had no injuries, you know, because I chose not to fight back. But now you’re here after a couple days. Why is that?”

“My guardian visited. You know that.”

“Right… mine did too. So what about it? Did you get beat up too? My guardian gave me more bruises than you did. It’s almost like they’re twins, your guardian and mine. They’re very similar. Is that how you got that blood on your face? That bandage on your arm… I suspect that’s how that big, big stain got on your head, isn’t it?”

“That’s not… You’re wrong.”

“Don’t act like that. You know I’m right. Your guardian must have changed your shirt for you after it happened. But it looks like it still got a bit dirty… how sad.”

“Shut up. Seriously, I can’t believe they put me in a room with you and not Nene or something. I could probably deal with her dumb childishness, but you’re just a creepy ass—“

“Careful with your words there. You know we’re being recorded. Would you rather be in solitary confinement than be here with me? You’re too judgmental. You know I’m not bad company. Or maybe you’d just like to be with your little boyfriend? I can assure you, he’s probably gonna have another little accident on the field and end up right back here. Must be weird seeing me in his bed, hm?”

“Did you ever learn how to read a fucking room, Sirius? And he’s not my boyfriend, he’s barely even my friend. Don’t just assume things.”

“Oh, I can’t assume things? You want me to list the facts? I saw you both behind a tree with you sticking your fingers in his mouth. I wouldn’t say people with a normal relationship would do that.”

“Sorry? That wasn’t—“

“Wasn’t what?”

“It wasn’t, like, supposed to be weird. Or sexy. Or something else, it was just— I was helping him.”

“Helping him what? Get off? He was lying on you, making direct eye contact, with your fingers in his mouth.”

“I was trying to see if he could taste me.”

“And you’re saying that as if it makes your situation any better.”

“No! I’m being serious. You know how he can’t taste anything. I wanted to see if… maybe it was only foods he couldn’t taste. I’ve been testing this for a while. He can eat soil, grass, paper, and a bunch of other things without tasting them. But… there was something I hadn’t tried getting him to eat yet.”

“…”

“Me. Well, not me, but humans. I didn’t want to go off and kill someone so I just… I told him that we should just hide somewhere during the day and he could try, maybe, biting me hard enough to draw blood to find out if he could taste it.”

“Could he?”

“Yes.”

“What a freak.”

“Sirius.”

“What? I’m stating a fact.”

“You’re a bitch.”

Alrighty, the votes decreed that Pre-Present day would be next so here it is!

Pre-Present Day - The Phantom Some time in the future— due to a faulty experiment— One man is sent back through time and space and winds up some day in the past— just exactly when we don’t know. He’s lucky that he knows the local language, but there’s just one problem with that… He can’t speak it! So whilst traversing the land as a mute, he uncovers a secret lying within the countries’ museums, a collection of jewels that can grant one wish if gathered together! Of course, he aims to use them to get home, but it seems that somebody else has their eyes on these jewels. Thus making it a race against the clock to gather them all up!
