Harry asks Sirius for girl advice and all Sirius can think about is his only real interactions were with Lily and their friends (memories severely degraded by Dementors as they were happy memories), his batshit relatives and the House of Black interactions should probably be studied by psychologists so all that would really do is scar the poor kid, some old schoolmates but the longest one he ever had (excluding accidentally killing that one kid but it’s not like student safety has ever been a concern at that school) was with that girl he was partnered with in Transfiguration way back when and he’s 78% certain that he read about her and her family being murdered by Death Eaters in the First War so he sure can’t write her for advice, and the female Death Eaters he was dueling but Sirius very sadly thinks that he’s pretty sure Harry’s not asking for fighting advice. Sirius is out of his depth here and sends Harry off to some Order members who feel attraction

He sends Harry to Remus first to help with the boy problems, and since Remus is extremely gay he is able to offer some advice, but then he sends Harry to Kingsley because Harry is a disaster bi just like his dad and so is Kingsley. Harry gets the advice he'd been looking for and ends up married to Luna 10 years later (because we do NOT marry our high school sweethearts in this household no sir) and give Sirius 3 grandkids the end.

I’m thinking of writing a fic where Sirius gets amnesia (unknown how as of yet) and such. Modern muggle au. I want it to be a pretty chill, happy story with probably not much plot just vibes.

Remus: gay, five years old was attacked by Greyback and cut up, gets tremors on chronic pain now, uses a cane to walk, nerd (will read anything but mostly loves textbooks/educational books), lowkey autistic (you don’t know til you know), always spouting weird facts when he’s uncomfortable, obvi super pining for sirius

James: pansexual, dating Regulus, plays basketball, does one on one with Marlene and they gossip/vent about their day, works out all the time, super smart but a dumbass, actual sunshine with abandonment issues

Regulus: trans (formerly Lyra), bisexual, dating James, nerd (big into learning like remus, he and remus hang out to learn random shit together) plays badminton singles, autistic af, very quiet until he gets comfy then he never shuts up, likes legos (touch and you’ll die)

Peter: aroace, everyone’s bestie, chill and just living his best life, closest with Mary (both just chill but always judging everyone together)

Barty: gay af, dating Evan obvi, graffiti vandal/lowkey arsonist, besties with Pandora, intentionally does stereotypical ‘quiet kid’ stuff just to fuck with his peers, everyone’s afraid of him just how he likes,

Evan: asexual but will ruin Barty sexually (doesn’t get any sexual gratification but enjoys watching Barty squirm and have the best time), collects animal parts in jars and has a ‘bone room’, is that creepy kid, has definitely been to the psych ward before

Lily: lesbian, poly-ish, dating Mary and Pandora, huge chemistry nerd, in the debate club, very popular/friends with nearly everyone

Mary: bisexual, poly-ish, dating Lily and Pandora, very cottagecore, quiet vibes, besties with Peter, vegan/all about saving the planet (but not in a awful way), forgetful and always has a million alarms and reminders on her phone

Marlene: nonbinary they/them, so lesbian they never had to come out, obsessed with gf Dorcas, plays basketball, them and James often do one on one and vent, loves movies and will watch literally anything

Dorcas: lesbian, dating Marlene, most said words are probably “wtf Marlene”, party girl, cheerleader, legit hates men except Reggie but only because they were close before he transitioned and she’d miss him

Pandora: unknown sexuality (always just shrugs when asked), very manic pixie girl vibes, heavy on the manic, sometimes commits arson with bestie Barty, Evan’s unused dead things’ parts are made into fertilizer for her garden (which is impressive btw, mostly flowers but a hidden section of poisonous plants), always has something creepy or downright unsettling to say

-James is Indian

-Remus is technically white but he does not look it (and it always surprises people), and he’s conveniently unattractive bc I love ugly remus

-Pandora and Evan are black (with naturally white blond hair ofc) and Pandora has vitiligo

-Sirius and Regulus moved from France as children

chapter 68:

when does sirius figure that he’s aroace(/that he doesn’t feel the same about romance and sex as his friends)

psa this is talking about canon sirius

firstly, i feel like sirius has always had a skewed point of view on love because of what was displayed by his parents in his childhood. he believes love is conditional and that you can earn it, in fact, he believes you have to earn it. (this is part of why his relationship with regulus isn't as close as the fandom perceives, he doesn't think regulus has earnt his love or vice versa.) in first year that belief starts to be deconstructed by james loving him unconditionally and what he learns about james' parents.

in third year is when sirius first thinks something is wrong with him. james is obsessed with lily and he just doesn't understand why. peter was asked out by a hufflepuff and they go on a date and sirius doesn't understand why pete would say yes to someone he doesn't know well. he still struggles to believe that you don't have to work for love and he also fails to understand the concept of attraction.

in fourth year both sirius and remus can't sleep and sirius starts going on a rant about how he doesn't understand how james and pete want to go out with girls and not spend time with remus and himself anymore. so remus asks him if he's gay and he says yes. that must be it. and pleads remus not to tell anyone.

fifth year has girls asking sirius out left and right but he says no to all of them. in the first half of the year, the day after a full moon he and remus are talking after he had brought some chocolate to him and remus finally confesses his crush on sirius. sirius doesn't understand why you would like someone like that but is too afraid to hurt remus' feelings and split the group apart so he fakes attraction back. the prank happens at the end of fifth year and that's how remus and sirius break up. their relationship was messy enough, trying to hide it and sirius trying to give remus the romantic and sexual love he wants. sirius and the rest of the marauders stop talking and he leaves for the summer break ostracised.

james and lily start dating at the start of sixth year and james can't stop talking about how wonderful lily is and all the dates they go on and sirius catches james and lily having sex in their dorm too many times. peter is dating sybill trelawney and sirius is over it, he just wants the marauders to go back to the way they were in the earlier years. he's still awkward around remus and their relationship never truly fixes itself. at the end of the sixth year he goes home to find regulus getting his dark mark and is completely over his family and everything that's gone on with the marauders and relationships during the years. he packs a trunk and heads to the potters and breaks down in effie's arms saying that he doesn't understand love.

i genuinely think sirius could live his whole life without knowing what aromanticism and asexuality is but i'll give this a happy enough ending anyway.

throughout seventh year the marauders, lily, mary and marlene get closer because of their ongoing fears about the war. marlene had always been a close friend of sirius, even staying by him during the aftermath of the prank, and their friendship had always been queer, even including marlene letting him know she was a lesbian in fourth year. he lets marlene know how he's felt over the years and how he just doesn't understand how broken he could be. in return, she lets him know she had a muggle friend who feels similarly and they go by the labels aromantic and asexual. he finally feels a sense of clarity within himself and his lack of attraction and takes on his labels, but because of the upcoming war he never gets a chance to tell the marauders.
