These are the first poses I've ever made and I've been working on them for a while- SO MUCH TESTING AND ADJUSTING LOL. They're not perfect, but I'm proud of them, I hope you all enjoy :)

I did make these with fundie gameplay in mind, but I feel like a lot of them could be used for regular everyday use!

Sweet Nothings Bench from Cottage Living was used in the pose making process, but most other benches should work!

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - Queen Katherine attended the Beacon Gala last night, an event not originally on Her Majesty's calendar. The gala is thrown annually by the Royal Arts Foundation and ends with a highly-anticipated auction.

The Queen not only attended but met some new Windenburg "royalty", and introduced the gala's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Juliana Jackson.

Queen Katherine and Jackson have been friends for many years and upon hearing of Jackson as the honoree, accepted an invitation. The pair, along with the Prince consort, entered the gala together and were seen mingling with guests.

Her Majesty wore the Queen of Silk gown by @mssims and paired it with the Lucille tiara and diamond choker. Choosing to wear only the Royal Orders of George I and the Order of the Garter, Her Majesty wanted to highlight the gown. The palace confirmed the African print was a nod to her maternal grandmother, Princess Niema of Zulu, who recently died.

Queen Katherine also met Miss Windenburg, Katurah Stewart, the gala's Young Achievers Award recipient.

Stewart wore a green Celebrate gown by @mssims and donned her Miss Windenburg crown.

Katurah, who won the Miss Windenburg crown in January, also took home the Miss Universe Sims crown last week becoming an overnight star and catapulting her into demand.

The 21 year old represented the nation competing against 41 other countries to win the 2024 crown.

The Balsimore native is the first woman, and African-American, to win Miss Universe Sims and Miss Windenburg at the same time, and much of her platform is about embracing your culture through the Arts.

She is an eco-friendly fashion designer, model, and classical vocal instructor based in Easton, and is a voice for African-Americans, opening the door for more diversity and representation in the Arts society.

Miss Universe chatted with the Prince consort, discussing collective initiatives. As patron of the Royal Arts Foundation, Prince Rainier will be working closely with the new Miss Windenburg.

Queen Katherine spoke to the gala attendees and introduced Juliana Jackson, before partaking in the gala's final festivities.

Her Majesty joined in on the auction, where all proceeds go to support the Gala's charity.

The palace confirmed Her Majesty bid on, and won, the Mary Beth of Gibralsim’s Diamond bandeau and a pink diamond ring. Estimated at §1.1m simoleons, they are said to be gifts for her daughter, Princess Grace.

I remember one of the first things I did when Supriya aged up into a teen was to have her take selfies. Because not only is that someting a pride generation heir would do, but at the time I also thought she was one of the prettiest teens in my game ever.

Februari

I decided to fully furnish and decorate an apartment for Supriya to live in and I think this is when I realized that I'm 100% a maximalist when it comes to interior design.

March

Ah, the night of the gala where Supriya and Rohan finally let their walls down 😊. I based the the outfits and the location of the gala (before they got back to Supriya's apartment) on the gala scene from the movie Maid in Manhattan which was a movie I really liked as a kid and for some reason that gala scene imprinted itself in my brain.

April

I love a good sunset. But what I love more is Rohan and Supriya getting engaged in front of a good sunset. The couple moved to Brindleton Bay where they fell even more in love with each other, and I fell in love with the Brindleton Bay heatwaves (when it doesn't rain that is). Rohan and Supriya eventually got married and it was my first cultural in-game wedding and, you guessed it, I loved it.

A pregnancy photoshoot with Supriya and Rohan in that little park with the blossom trees in Lykke Centre, Windenburg. The other screenshot is a screenshot with Cedia as a siren that I never posted in the Halloween post of last year, so I decided to make another post this year with the screenshots I also loved and that didn't make the cut back then.

I was still experimenting with my decorating skills and I had a lot of fun decorating the kids' playroom and Gulshan's bedroom when they were little.

July

I did an "end-of-generation" photoshoot with Supriya and also made one of my oc's, Fawzia, for Thebramblewood's vampire casting call who until then had only existed in my head. And for my legacy I wanted to try something different with the lighting in the screenshots where Gulshan and his friends are partying and I really liked how it turned out.

Gulshan got his restaurant and I love everything about it. I started building this restaurant when I started the 7 sins legacy and I was so excited when I could finally play in it.

I took this screenshot after Gulshan earned 4 stars for his restaurant. I posed everyone except for Lord Hamlet. He just walked past and it turned out perfect for this screenshot. Did I mention Lord Hamlet already? BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM! At first I wasn't sure how a pig who is actually a dog would work out in game, but he is my favorite in-game pet ever and I love him so much. The last screenshot I made to showcase the Poppy cas set by Surely-sims and Ice-creamforbreakfast and all the screenshots for this are some of my favorite lookbook screenshots ever.

Welp, I finally did it. But only four because this might not work. Maybe I forgot something, maybe I misread a TOU, maybe its maybeline. 24 25 Favourite Screenshots of 2024 (Part Two)

It was so hard to narrow down my favourite shots, I had to do this twice!

Starting off round two, Conrad took a magic subway to Glimmerbrook (1) and got there in time for a perfect sunset, and then (2) he met his first ghosts on Casters Alley! (Well, his second few ghosts, since he'd already met Ben but didn't know Ben was a ghost yet.)

(3) Heather coming home at the perfect time to spot a woman who became a major problem but is finally in handcuffs!!

(4) Heather chats with her family while Ash blows super hard to reach his birthday candles.

(5) Child Ash playing in a pile of autumn leaves in the front yard.

(6) The grey apartment building where Conrad grew up as seen from the above-ground subway track running through San Myshuno's Spice District.

(7) Conrad finds a boxing gym to channel his anger after his mother's death, where he meets a pretty redhead - his first love, Ximena - punching a nearby bag.

(8) Lavender was even adorable as a newborn object. I can't explain it just look.

(9) Posing with Reaper Rewards swag for fun to make Lavender's infant debut on Halloween, and I love this photo so much.

I added the painting of Lady Mimsy in the Garden to the Deadgrass Isle Historical Museum because I want to stare at it until it turns spooky like I read about online.

(11) Conrad and Heather being so wholesome after she just shouted down George Brindleton for threatening her kids outside the courthouse.

(16) I love this shot of the Goth mansion in Brindleton Bay from outside their front gate. With the snow and the moon it still gives me Gothic vibes even though the house is nothing like their original lot in Willow Creek.

Because I knew the legacy would move to Brindleton Bay in Gen 2, I wanted them living there, so when I added them to the save back when Mortimer and Bella were still married in Gen 1, I gave them the mansion and Bella's lived happily here ever since!

(17) Ghost Conrad smiles as he contemplates possessing the Goths' grand piano after drinking a Spectral Spritzer mixed for him by Bella.

(18) Infant Lavender smiles proudly when she learns to grab her toes.

(19) After finally coming clean about his past, Heather and Conrad talk things out on a bench near her childhood home in Henford-on-Bagley.

(20) The first family photo I ever posed in game and it's so cute, I framed it a bunch of times!

(21) Conrad gets down on one knee to give Heather a ring on Winterfest Eve, after their unceremonious engagement when Heather was in labour with Lavender.

(22) Can't get enough of those cc jammies, or this perfect candid shot of Heather walking in to find her son passed out above the covers, Conrad getting sleepy, and Queen Cupcake curled up and sleeping at his feet.

(23) Infant Lavender in her unicorn onesie getting a nuzzle from Gord while she pets him.

(24) Conrad and Gord meet ghost dog Captain Whitaker on a snowy Deadgrass Isle. I was so happy to find him and get this arc started and then the game updated and made him a living dog before I could resurrect him! (Not to worry, the plan is still in place because the Gallery saves!)

Bonus (25) Picky Lavender gives Conrad the stink eye over a jar of nasty peas.

Your Sims had been preparing for this hike for a long time – carefully packing their backpacks, choosing the safest route. That evening, they set up camp at the mountain’s base, lit a campfire, and gazed at the stars, warming up in each other’s embrace.

By nightfall, a soft layer of snow blanketed the ground. And in the morning, their adventure awaited – the climb to the very top. A long journey, slippery rocks, but they held on together.

And finally – the summit. Above them, an endless night sky; beneath them, the entire world. 

But the most important moment was yet to come. Just around the bend, she saw it – a bright message spelled out in tiny glowing lanterns: "Marry Me". She held her breath. The wind gently swayed the falling snowflakes, and there he was, kneeling before her, a ring in his hands.

"Will you marry me?" His voice was filled with tenderness and excitement.

She looked into his shining eyes and knew – yes. They stood there, high above the world, but their love soared even higher.

A Proposal at the Aquarium

This aquarium had always been their special place. It was where they had their first date, surrounded by shimmering blue waves, gliding stingrays, and curious turtles. They loved coming back here time and time again, spending hours watching marine life and imagining the world that existed beyond the glass.

This visit felt just like any other. They wandered through the halls, admiring the vibrant fish, laughing as dolphins put on yet another playful water show. But suddenly, in front of the massive aquarium, she stopped.

"Do you remember the first time we met here?" she asked.

She smiled, about to answer – but in that moment, she knelt down, a small box in her hands.

"Let me make you happy. Forever"

Her eyes filled with tears of joy. Behind the glass, jellyfish twirled in slow, mesmerizing patterns, as if dancing to the rhythm of their hearts.

"Yes!" she whispered, throwing herself into her arms.

A Proposal During Renovations

"Looks like the paint isn’t just on the walls", – she laughed, pointing at the bright streak on his nose.

They had been painting the room all day, turning it into a full-blown brush war. Paint splatters, laughter, a game of "guess the color" – their renovation felt more like a celebration than work. 

At one point, she went to the kitchen to prepare a quick snack, and in that moment, he was struck with inspiration.

Grabbing his brush, he quickly dipped it into the paint and started drawing a heart on the wall, planning to turn it into a proposal. But just as he was about to finish, he heard footsteps approaching. He didn’t have time to complete it.

She walked in to find him frozen mid-stroke, paintbrush in hand, standing in front of an unfinished heart. And right there on the table beside him an engagement ring.

Their eyes met.

"You… you’re…" She suddenly realized what was happening, then gasped, "YES!!!"

The renovation was forgotten. All that remained was joy, paint, laughter, and a love far greater than any wallpaper could ever replace.

The water was as smooth as a mirror. The boat swayed gently, cutting through the golden reflections of the lanterns soaring into the sky. They drifted slowly, savoring the magic of the moment, as if the whole world was woven from light and stars.

He held her hand.

"I’ve always wanted to see this", – she said, gazing at the hundreds of glowing lights in the sky.

"Me too", – he replied, rising to his feet and pulling out a small box. "But more than anything in the world, I want to see you become my wife".

The world stood still. Just them, the boat, the shimmering lanterns, and their love.

A Song Proposal 

He was nervous. His heart was racing faster than the beat of his favorite melody.

The park was bustling today – families, kids, musicians, street performers. They sat on a bench, sipping milkshakes, and he casually picked up a guitar. "Want me to teach you a few chords?" he asked. She smiled, taking the instrument. But after a couple of minutes, he gently took it back and said, "Now, just listen."

The first string trembled, then the second, and soon a soft melody filled the air. He sang about how he met her, how he fell in love, how he dreamed of spending his whole life by her side. The final note lingered in the air as he knelt down and whispered, "Will you be my wife?"

But it could be even grander.

That evening, the entire park gathered by the stage – spotlights shining, live music playing, a crowd of spectators. She stood in the front row, watching in astonishment as he stepped onto the stage. Surrounding him were friends, family, musicians.

He sang about love, about laughter, about shared dreams. He sang about her. The song swelled, emotions overflowed, and at the climax, he took a step forward, pulling out a small box. "Will you marry me?" – his voice blended with the ecstatic cheers of the crowd.

She covered her face with her hands, holding back tears of happiness. "Yes!" she cried, and the entire park erupted in applause.

The Proposal Quest

Text message: "I’ve hidden a puzzle for you. The first clue is in your room."

She found a card with a note: "The place where we had our first kiss". At the café by the waterfront, another clue was waiting. And so, step by step, she followed the trail through places that held their most cherished memories, collecting small gifts along the way, her favorite chocolate, a flower, and heartfelt words. 

The final clue led her to an old graffiti-covered wall.

He was waiting for her there. Behind him, among the colorful patterns, was a message: "Will you marry me?"

She held her breath as he dropped to one knee: "You’ve found all the answers. Now give me yours".

Meet my Couple - Blair & Wolfgang

Sims: Blair Watters, my darling child & Wolfgang Munch, my forever Sims 4 crush (and very honestly the only hot teen guy in all the Get Together expansion pack, at least in my very biased opinion, I'm a sucker for the combo of gray eyes and platinum blonde hair)

Notes: Wolf was the first to confess, yet didn't press Blair for an answer. Blair eventually admited to their feelings, confessing in their very own gentle way, by softly singing it to Wolf in sync with the song playing in the radio at that moment: Nights In White Satin. Their most memorable picture was discreetly taken by one of their neighbours after the confession, and marks the start of their dating. Nights In White Satin shall forever be their song, and will surely be the one they will have playing for their first dance as a married couple.

About my two darlings For those whom haven't checked my first story, "What did you see in me?": Wolf and Blair met at school, during a particularly difficult time for Blair. As you can see above, Blair is rather shy, and it was much worse in their teens, thanks to life dealing them a seriously messed up card. Surprisingly out of character for our resident Bad Boi, Wolfgang was really nice to Blair right off the bat, as he could tell Blair wasn't at their best that day. For more... you'll have to check my page ;)

Wolfgang... where to start on good old Wolfgang Munch. A bad boy with a true heart of gold. All he did for Blair, he did pure and simply because he COULD. Not because he wanted something in exchange, but because he knew he could make a difference in the life of somebody whom really, REALLY needed that helping hand. And yes, his first impression of Blair was "What a beautiful voice", for he wasn't facing Blair when they first spoke to him. When Wolf looked at Blair, the first thing to catch his attention (and heart) were the gorgeous silver eyes. BAM, Wolf was done for then and there. Nowadays, Wolf is known as the leader of Tomarang's Simkuza branch, as well as for his top notch designs, painting and restoration of classical cars. Less known to the public is how great of a father he is for the three kids in the house.

Blair... Blair is my baby. A shy, sweet child, cheerful and very gifted musically. Always humming or singing, learned to play the piano at a very tender age, and later on learned to play violin and guitar. It's no wonder Blair chose to study music, making a career of it. Their debut was a surprisingly instant superhit about Wolf's kind heart, hiding behind the awful reputation and fame he has kept since his teens. Sadly, when told this, nobody believes it, which hurts Blair deeply. On how they met... They spoke to Wolfgang on chance, as Wolf was the only one in his group to be quietly minding his own business, and was VERY startled when Wolf stood up (well, I would, too, boi's tall as heck). Since Wolfgang was so good to them from day one, Blair never for once believed it when told Wolf was bad news, even sushing and gently chastising those speaking bad of Wolf behind his back.

Blair and Wolf have a deeply wholesome, very loving relationship. They are each other's confidant, able to tell each other's moods from a glance and the tone of their voices (or lack of singing, where it comes to Blair). Their deep connection didn't come as easy as it seems, it was a slow process, yet, here they are, engaged and getting married very soon ;)

Her words still ring true every single day, and mind you, she was a deeply devoted Catholic old lady, and the very first one in my ENTIRE family to accept me just as I am. And I hope they brigthen your less happy days as much as they do brighten mine.

Sul sul! I'm making this post to introduce myself! I've been storytelling on tumblr for about a month and have loved the reacts and engaging with other simmers like myself! I'm still trying to figure out what I like in terms of story-telling and drama -- but I've enjoyed what I've done so far!

I've been playing sims since like 2008, playing sims 2 on a friends computer after school. When I tell you the way my entire world changed once I discovered this little simulation game. I went home and asked my parents immediately for the game to play on my own PC. From then on, I was hooked -- Sims 2, Sims 3, Sims 4. I wanted every pack, every birthday, or Christmas present was spent on Sims, including chore money! As an adult, I've grown into my habit while learning how to download mods and TONS of CC. Recently, even discovering how to install gshade and using posing - life changed!

Outside of sims, I have a wonderful husband [We've been together for about 10 years] and an 8 year old Border collie/Australian shepherd. If I had to describe myself with traits from sims 4 (no mods or cc), I would give myself Bookworm, Creative, and Family-Oriented. For a couple years, my creative outlet was GTA roleplay, which was fun for me as I love to create stories but it got too much -- interacting with other people and not respecting boundaries. I even assisted in a community helping out with applications -- that was fun! But I realized that the most fun part of roleplay, for me, was creating stories that I got lost in or viewers (I streamed LOL) would enjoy! I decided that I liked to create stories on my own terms and without the [need] to interact with others controlling the story.

SO, thus this tumblr came about - or Simblr [I think I'm using that term right, hopefully or this is oddly embarrassing].

The Sims 4 may not be the favourite game in a long-running franchise, but it’s clearly got one thing right; Gender Expression and Sexuality. Although the game was originally built on a binary system, you could marry same-sex couples, and now with a recent patch, you can express a diverse gender range. They are actively working on being inclusive, and that’s great!

The Competition

A long list of coming-up competitors to the Sims features Paralives, Life by You, and now inZOI. It jumped up very recently, yet it is planned to release in late 2024, although it seems near finished now. It looks, and I don’t say this lightly, amazing. The graphics are stunning. The gameplay seems fun. It is one of the best competitors in a long time. But, in their own trailers, one thing seemed missing.

LGBTQIA+ People and inZOI

The inZOI marketing campaign is HEAVY. It’s almost unavoidable. One user now has access to an early copy, acottonsock is their username on YouTube. Madi’s been making videos for 3 years, something surprisingly impressive. They are a unique breed of Sims YouTuber now, as they do not appear to make ANY Sims 4 content, instead focusing on 2 and 3. Sims 2 and 3 do allow same sex relationships, however they do not allow any diverse gender options. 

This is a bit of an odd choice in terms of inZOI’s marketing team as, although Madi is honestly a great creator, and I do actually plan on watching some of her non-inZOI content, they’re not the most popular Sims YouTuber. There are an expansive number, but I am being honest when I say that inZOI could’ve reached a much greater audience by catering to someone like Plumbella, Vixella, or lilsimsie, who definitely would’ve been down to do it. 

I must admit, I’m glad they didn’t choose one of them. InZOI has made a deliberate move here, and it has calculated risks and benefits. One of the benefits of choosing Madi is the mutual benefit. Madi gains more followers, and inZOI gets to showcase their game. 

I posed 2 questions in my email to Madi, “Can ZOIs engage in same-sex relationships, or any LGBTQIA+ relationships?” and “Can ZOIs be anything other than Cisgender Male and Females?”

Madi responded openly and willingly, and I must admit that not watching the four hour livestream was partial bad journalism, but I didn’t have the time to do anything but a skim. This is wonderful, as Same-Sex Relationships appear to be receiving love in inZOI, but I fear that the gender expression beyond a binary system is sorely lacking, and unless they add it soon I don’t think they will ever be featured in inZOI.

Summary

InZOI is a notable competitor the Sims franchise, and it does feature same-sex relationships, but unfortunately the ability to have beyond the binary system of Gender is sorely lacking. I really hope that something can be done to combat this, before the games release in late 2024. I fear that if it's not, it will be too late.

Happy Harvestfest! We all made out way to my parents house in Newcrest for a weekend full of family, food, and fellowship. One thing we tried to arrange beforehand was the grandkids picture since we didn't manage to get one last year, and now that the babies that were in utero last year have been born (and no one that we know of is pregnant) we decided now was the perfect time. We mixed up the kids so that there was a big kid-little kid plan, mostly for crowd control purposes so that they would be able to handle the toddlers. The oldest four (Noah, Luke, Chloe, and AJ) were holding the youngest four (Grace, Everett, Jackson, and Bethany). As the years go by and the children grow (and with more being born, Lord willing) we'll have to keep finding new ways to arrange all the children.

My parents and the girls at home are all doing great! Now that there's no longer anyone in school, my parents have more time for their other things, though it seems with the more the family grows the busier they'll get! My dad continues to shepherd the flock of Newcrest Baptist, there's a blossoming pastoral staff that also help to keep the place running for the Lord's glory. It also gives him time to travel to speaking engagements at other churches as well as different revivals, jubilee's, hymn sings, and festivals. My mother is also busy with her role as mother, grandmother, and pastor's wife. She somehow finds the time to show all of us that we're definitely loved and valued. She helps to homeschool Barrett and Kyleigh's kids whenever needed, as well as the kids coming to their house for music lessons. When they're not home or travelling to commitments, they're usually visiting with one of us that live out of town, they try and schedule their visits to us to coincide with their travelling for their commitments. My sisters are all busy busy bees! Macie splits her time between being at home or in ministry, and when she's not doing that she's visiting with one of us. Annette works as a babysitter helping families at church that need that extra support, she just loves children and is grateful she gets to spend time with children all day. Both girls remain in a season of singleness, and they're using it to the full, with our cousin Celeste getting married this winter they've been recruited to help with the planning and execution of the wedding. Ashton also babysits children in the congregation, she's in the church choir and spends her days helping out wherever she can. Since she has less responsibilities she spends the most time travelling, so she gets to spend longer amounts of time with the siblings.

We are so thankful for the Lord's grace! Little Bethany joined our family this summer and we are over the moon that the Lord chose for this little girl to join us - her 8 older brothers and her parents are over the moon! We've had two kids get saved this year (Paul & Joshua) and it's such a blessing that we've been able to lead our kids to the Lord for his glory! Since the arrival of little miss, Mason and I have been feeling like the Lord is leading us in the direction of a new house. Since she's so young and has about a year in our room with us, we have time to see whether we're going to extend the house by adding a level or whether we'll move to a whole new house altogether. We've got a bunch of prayer warriors on our side so I'm sure we'll get an answer soon.

Barrett and Kyleigh are also thankful for a new blessing from the Lord, little Jackson made his appearance soon after Parker and Lana's wedding, so we got a 2-for-1 deal really! They're also prayerfully considering their house, so our prayer circles are really working hard in this season our two families are in. They also had two kids get saved this year, it brought so much joy to my heart when Kyleigh shared in our group chat that the girls had gotten saved and baptised at church! My parents started the tradition of gifting the 'savee' a bible and a family lunch, and it's such a precious tradition that they're able to now carry out with their grandchildren. They only have 12 grandkids that are in the average age range for getting saved (of course it can happen before or after that time period - all in the Lord's timing!), but as the grandchildren grow and continue to multiply they're going to need the Lord's help to get them everywhere that they're needed!

Zoe and her family are happy and thriving in Windenburg, Francisco's job gives him weekends off so the family gets to attend church on the weekends. Zoe has amassed a solid amount of students that she teaches piano and violin, as well as some students that she video conferences for their lessons. With two young children to care for and a house to maintain, she's an expert at managing her time. They're slowly approaching the time when Francisco gets his orders and they've got to move, but they've not put their choices in yet so we have no idea where they'll be right now. Little Cassie turns two years old in a few months, so the plan is to have a birthday party for her when we're all back in town for Celeste's wedding. Ashton is heading back to Windenburg to spend some time with them as well as with Amira and her family, she'll ride back with them for the wedding.

Maggie and her family are doing wonderful! They were in Sulani earlier this summer with Reece and Amira's families, it's wonderful getting to see my younger siblings bonding as adults with families of their own. Little Arlo and Iris seem to have grown leaps and bounds since I last saw them, the kids love getting to video chat with them and love whenever they get to visit with each other. Usually Maggie and her family will try and pass through to see us during their travels, so that's when the kids get to see each other.

Reece and Stacie have also been doing great, Liam has breezed through kindergarten and is getting ready to start grade 1. Stacie will be homeschooling Liam through a homeschool co-op, they said that they felt that was the best option for getting the kids socialised with like minded children.

Beckett (24) and Mandy Collins (22)

Beckett and mandy are back for their yearly vacation from the mission field. It's so great to see them in person and hear the wonderful stories they have to tell about the great work that they're doing out there in Selvadorada. Whilst they haven't been blessed with a child as of yet, the Lord has kept them content with their current life and has showered them in blessings of many kinds. They'll be focusing on fundraising efforts for the mission field, as well as trying to see as much family as they can.

Amira and her family are wonderful and thriving! Little Maya is such a sweet girl, a total reflection of her wonderful mother! Amira was such a wonderful baby and child, and Maya is exactly like her mother. Their little family are wonderful and are so blessed by the Lord, and they've been doing more travelling this year when their schedule allows. They'll be sharing Ashton with Zoe this winter as they get to have some quality sister time before we meet again for Celeste's wedding.

Little Grace has joined the family since we were last all together, and her name is so precious! Little Andrew is such a wonderful big brother and these two babies are the light of their parents lives! Priscilla always says that life in Oasis Springs spoils them with the heat, but she does miss having the traditional autumn and winter weather and is glad to be with family - as we all are!

Charles and Lorilee welcomed little Everett into the family around the new year, and have been thanking the Lord for that blessing. Lorilee has been sharing that she's been doing better than expected at the postpartum period, especially for a first-timer. They're talking about moving out of their apartment and finding a house for their little family (that they're hoping to expand!)

Parker (19) and Lana (19) Collins

Lana was also a new joiner to the family this year! She's such a sweet girl and is a wonderful wife to Parker. Their wedding was beautiful and wonderfully glorified the Lord, which is a testament to the minds and hearts of Parker and Lana. As an older sibling, it's been my prayer that my siblings find spouses that challenge them and push them to the Lord, and I'm thankful to say that Lana does exactly that!

We also managed to take a group picture! There's 55 people in our 'immediate' family - imagine that! There's my parents, then the 13 kids, the 10 spouses, and 30 grandkids! The lord has blessed us greatly and beyond our wildest imagination.

For comparison, this is a picture from way before any of us got married, and then a picture with Mason, Noah, and Kyleigh in the family. Who would've thought that in less than 15 years we'd go from a family of 15 to a family of 55! This is probably the biggest example of God's goodness in our lives!

This... poorly lit render was on purpose because this was my first attempt at using a Sims 4 model pulled from the game, and a rudimentary rig. The scene is from my fic, where Odysseus is tempted by the lotus eaters to have some lotus after their visit to their land but before engaging with Polyphemus. He wants to, because the lotus made him dream about his heart's desires. What you don't see is how twisted his joints really are, and the gaping hole in the mesh on his back because of the extreme pose. I had a lot of work to do before this was a viable model for art. But we'd have to bear with the t-shirt and shorts for a long while anyway, because the sims base game does not offer ancient greek chitons.

Heyo! It's nice to see some folks are still around! I'll admit I'm not sure if I'm really back. (TL;DR: I've probably lost the most 'recent' version of the Pierces and all my old CC, re-creating them would be hard, but if worst comes to worst I might re-create gen 5 in sims 3 or 4 and dip my toes back in casually)

I'm currently on a hunt for my old sims 3 files but so far the only ones I've found are from 2 years before I vanished and thus pre-date literally any of the wolf generation of the Pierces, like before the boys were even born, let alone the preparation being done for the witches. There's a weird gap in my files between 2013 and 2018 which encompasses basically everything I need.

As far as I can currently tell, that's as a result of me for some reason leaving my sims 3 files behind on the the laptop I got right before I left simblr when I once again changed it in 2018. Right now it's unclear if we saved the hard drive from that laptop or not, though the odds aren't looking great.

Still, I'm going to put in an effort. I've made myself miss these old sims a lot and if I'd like to get them back if I can. But if I don't have the files it's unlikely I can resurrect the family without it being an utter nightmare that I doubt I'll have the energy for. It would mean re-creating the Pierce kids from their parents genes in CAS, re-downloading the wolf girls, and having to wholesale re-create sims lost to inaccessible fanmail links, and then re-creating the next generation somehow—and either way, the extended family would never recover. Plus on top of that there's definitely a lot of old custom content that would be lost to time too.

But we'll see. I miss sims 3's charm, and I miss the Pierces, and if nothing else if my urge to fight sims 3 into submission lasts I may put the effort in to re-create at least gen 5 and try to re-gather as much CC/poses as I can. Call it a soft reboot.

And if absolutely nothing else, I did recently re-create Elanya and Calypso in sims 4 again. Neither is the right occult right now, but they are cute.

Still not a guarantee I'll come back full time, but maybe I'll start engaging with simblr more casually again once I know where I stand.
