These are the first poses I've ever made and I've been working on them for a while- SO MUCH TESTING AND ADJUSTING LOL. They're not perfect, but I'm proud of them, I hope you all enjoy :)

I did make these with fundie gameplay in mind, but I feel like a lot of them could be used for regular everyday use!

Sweet Nothings Bench from Cottage Living was used in the pose making process, but most other benches should work!

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - Queen Katherine attended the Beacon Gala last night, an event not originally on Her Majesty's calendar. The gala is thrown annually by the Royal Arts Foundation and ends with a highly-anticipated auction.

The Queen not only attended but met some new Windenburg "royalty", and introduced the gala's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Juliana Jackson.

Queen Katherine and Jackson have been friends for many years and upon hearing of Jackson as the honoree, accepted an invitation. The pair, along with the Prince consort, entered the gala together and were seen mingling with guests.

Her Majesty wore the Queen of Silk gown by @mssims and paired it with the Lucille tiara and diamond choker. Choosing to wear only the Royal Orders of George I and the Order of the Garter, Her Majesty wanted to highlight the gown. The palace confirmed the African print was a nod to her maternal grandmother, Princess Niema of Zulu, who recently died.

Queen Katherine also met Miss Windenburg, Katurah Stewart, the gala's Young Achievers Award recipient.

Stewart wore a green Celebrate gown by @mssims and donned her Miss Windenburg crown.

Katurah, who won the Miss Windenburg crown in January, also took home the Miss Universe Sims crown last week becoming an overnight star and catapulting her into demand.

The 21 year old represented the nation competing against 41 other countries to win the 2024 crown.

The Balsimore native is the first woman, and African-American, to win Miss Universe Sims and Miss Windenburg at the same time, and much of her platform is about embracing your culture through the Arts.

She is an eco-friendly fashion designer, model, and classical vocal instructor based in Easton, and is a voice for African-Americans, opening the door for more diversity and representation in the Arts society.

Miss Universe chatted with the Prince consort, discussing collective initiatives. As patron of the Royal Arts Foundation, Prince Rainier will be working closely with the new Miss Windenburg.

Queen Katherine spoke to the gala attendees and introduced Juliana Jackson, before partaking in the gala's final festivities.

Her Majesty joined in on the auction, where all proceeds go to support the Gala's charity.

The palace confirmed Her Majesty bid on, and won, the Mary Beth of Gibralsim’s Diamond bandeau and a pink diamond ring. Estimated at §1.1m simoleons, they are said to be gifts for her daughter, Princess Grace.

Setting Up TS4 Gameplay

Revamp Sim Worlds

BRAVE THOSE LOADING SCREENS and leave your residential lot! (I promise it's worth it)

NEW LOTS - Each of my worlds have been renovated with lots I handpicked from the gallery - too much work? I recommend using a savefile! Here are some of my personal faves @ratboysims 1, @down-in-simsland 2, @folkling 3 & @sweetbeagaming 4.

RESIDENTIAL RENTAL - these lots help make the world feel more dense and lived in, plus condensing the local households to 1-2 lots leaves room for more non-residential lots to explore with your sims.

WORK AND SCHOOL - I recommend placing offices, schools, and daycare lots. These combined with a few mods (semi-active custom careers and Zerbu's go to school mod 2) and clubs are something I really enjoy.

Set Up Clubs

I really like @sojutrait's tutorial on how to use clubs to enhance your gameplay and is a MUST HAVE in my humble opinion. I usually have a family chore club, work clubs, neighborhood clubs, extended family clubs, etc... and it's so nice to click a button suddenly there are sims there making my game more lively.

To have more than 3 clubs per sim, I use this mod maintained by @kingzaceofsims.

I also use custom club activities so sims (MOSTLY) behave how I want them to. @srslysims has tutorial on how to make your own.

To be able to have club gatherings in vacation worlds I use this mod. It was helpful with sending my pixel kids to camp.

Set Up the Calendar

@aliennooboo made this AMAZING tutorial on setting up your sims calendar that I just adore. I find this helps me remember to do things with my sims and helps change up their day to day life.

Playing

ROTATIONAL GAMEPLAY - I find this keeps me engaged and prevents boredom. It keeps things fresh and allows me to explore different stories. Here is a great resource to get started!

GAMEPLAY MODS - I find adding various mods keeps my gameplay fresh and interesting. I recommend these creators (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5) in particular.

Screenies

POSES - As a gameplay person, I try to use poses sparingly. It disrupts the game for me but I find sometimes I can't convey what I want to without them, so I try to only use a few. This is what works for me, please do what works for you. Shout out to all the storytellers blogs, though, that keep me fed.

RESHADE or PSD files can add some fun color and effects to screenies. ONLY edit as much as you want to. I felt a lot of pressure to get better at this and I am finally finding the balance of how much and what kind of editing I actually like to do. I have collected reshades/gshades and resources here.

House Keeping

Keep back ups of your trayfiles, screenshots, households, lots, etc 'cause it's sims, things break and go wrong.

Keep your CC and mods organized otherwise fixing your game is a hug pain.

Who's your favourite sim that you've made?

it's a tie between my 2 little meow meows pictured above 🥺

amir because he's the oc i'm most attached to and have most fully developed

vlad because i just love the way his sim turned out and he's such a fun character to think about

if they ever met, vlad would be like "greetings." and amir would be like "bro what the fucckkk" 😭

speaking of vampires i also love the idea of au-vampire-amir being this ashamed, existential crisis having vegetarian vampire who struggles with controlling and hiding his bloodlust.

i never get bored coming up with ideas for those 2.

What's your favourite Sims death?

it's been YEARS since i intentionally made any of sims die. i barely do gameplay these days and i am attached to the sims i make. but when i used to play sims chaotically, i preferred to "accidentally" murder sims by fire instead of deleting the pool ladder. i would furnish their houses with the cheapest stoves and fireplaces, and sit back and watching the inevitable unfold... it was the final destination fan in me.

i can't live without alpha hair and i love a well done piece of alpha clothing.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

i've always preferred creating masculine male sims/characters, that hasn't changed throughout the years. i've learned how to take better pictures, how to style my sims better, how to create the kinds of clothes i want to style them in, and i've learned my preferred slider settings and facial features/proportions. i make the same "genre" of male sims over and over and over again, so my style hasn't really changed, but my skills have improved and i've solidified my aesthetic which i am proud of :D

Who's your favourite CC creator?

i really can't pick a favourite because there is just so much sheer talent and a thriving cc community even today, but if i had to pick one, i would say rustynail. i used the shit out of their cc back in the day. everything my sims wore was straight off the runway darling... rusty brought glamour and high fashion to the sims! an inspiration.

How long have you had a simblr?

since even before 2013 😭 tumblr was my main social media for many years LMFAOOOOO and i made a simblr after following many ts3 blogs, being wowed by their screenshots, and i wanted to join in on the fun and wanted to download all the cool cc people were making... that was the start of my ts3 obsession !

How do you edit your pictures?

i use a gshade preset i made, then i mostly just crop and add text in gimp. i don't have the patience to edit my pics.

What expansion/ stuff pack is your favourite?

late night duh and seasons is a close second because it just makes the game so much more immersive and beautiful. pets is also a top one because it adds so much to the game, it's such a well thought out pack in my opinion, and what life simulator can be complete without pets?

What kind of proposal is that? My Sims just get one one knee and jump into their partner's arms after accepting how did you get Zayne to propose to Aspen like that?

Every time I see the way other people play Sims I get so flabbergasted because you guy's game always look so much more fun?

lmaoo not am i sure we're playing the same sims. anyway its truly just poses that's it. i still had to get zayne to propose in the normal bg way. though if you have sacrificial's passionate romance there's an option to take a romantic engagement selfie that counts towards your sims getting engaged which is quite cute. i can't play ts4 without a lil storytelling in my head which is why i like to go the extra mile with my gameplay.. (i need therapy fr)

Princess Katherine is back on investiture duty.

Just one day after The Duke of Kent hosted the first investiture ceremony of the year at Buckingsim Palace, The Duchess of Brindleton Bay hosted the prize giving, again filling in for King George who is touring San Myshuno.

The Order of the Windenburg Empire (OWE) recognizes outstanding local achievement or Service for a Windenburg community in arts, science, medicine or government and is awarded throughout a year. 

For major national Service, the King can honor people who’ve achieved something extraordinary with a knighthood and Companion of Honor of the Order of the Windenburg Empire (CWE).

Among the day's honorees were Olympic swimmer Martiya Summers, soccer coach and former WSL professional player Andrew Beckham Jr, and artist and stage designer Erin DeChamp.

During investiture ceremonies, a centuries-old tradition, members of the royal family present medals to those who have been awarded honors.

Royal expert Monique King explained that the royals who host investitures have rights to the throne and are there representing the Sovereign.

According to the royal family's official website, investitures are currently only hosted by The King, The Duke of Kent and The Duchess of Brindleton Bay. No word on if, or when, The Countess of Boykins would be added to that list.

Over the coming months, members of the royal family will continue to present awards to those recognized in the King's New Year's Honors Lists.

Hi, everyone! My name is Shannon. If I were a Sim, my main trait would definitely be socially awkward. I’ve been playing the game in all its forms almost my entire life, but I’ve always been too self-conscious to really engage with the community. But I’d like to change that, so here I am.

What should you know about me? Well, I live in a very small town in Michigan where there’s not much to do, so I spend a lot of time reading. The Secret History was my favorite book before dark academia was cool, and I’m always open to giving and receiving recommendations! I have an English degree (unsurprisingly) and currently work as a transcriber. I’m a huge music nerd. My holy trinity is Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, and PJ Harvey, but I also love pop music (Charli XCX owns my soul). Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of Alex G, Sudan Archives, and Magdalena Bay. Besides Tumblr, the only social media I believe in is Last.fm. I consider myself a creative writer, but I’m very long-winded (as you can probably tell) and a perfectionist to a fault.

What should you know about my Sims style? Aesthetically, I stick pretty close to Maxis match. I mainly do legacy gameplay, though I don’t follow any particular rules. I just get stupidly attached to my Sims and can’t let go. For a long time, I was ride or die for TS2, but TS4 tempted me to the dark side with its shiny, shiny graphics and, despite its shortcomings, I’m pretty much all in now. I actually have a traditional blog where I’ve been documenting my gameplay to an audience of mostly myself. Recently, I’ve gotten into more plot-centered storytelling. Whenever possible, I prefer actual gameplay to staging, but I’d also like to use this blog to experiment more with poses and editing to become a better visual storyteller.

It also feels necessary to mention that I am very slow. So I’m probably always going to be a few steps behind what everyone else is doing, but I like to discover things in my own time! Anyway, I should wrap this up now. My plan is to make a few posts highlighting the most memorable parts of my legacy, since I’m already eight generations deep. Then I’ll dive more specifically into the story of the current heir, Rowan (pictured above). But if you want, you can find the first few parts of it (which, for some reason, I’ve decided to write like a first-person YA novel) here.
