Malcolm Ainsley (anchor): Good evening. Tonight, we turn to Buckingsim Palace, where Her Majesty the Queen has issued a historic Royal Resolution. On September 20th, the Palace formally unveiled a new royal Coat of Arms for the Kingdom of Windenburg — the first such redesign in well over a century.
The Queen’s decree, aimed at balancing tradition with modernity, marks the most significant heraldic update since 1888. The most striking change is the replacement of the white horse with a white deer, crowned and chained in gold, with ice-blue eyes — a tribute to Queen Isabella, the legendary consort of King Albert I. Palace historians note that Isabella’s ice-blue eyes became a defining Windsor trait, now immortalized in the realm’s heraldry.
The Coat of Arms of the Prince Consort was also updated, while retaining the blue boar — a symbol honoring the late Lord Hugo Breece, father of Prince Rainier. One of the most notable adjustments in the Prince consort’s arms is the inclusion of new naval heraldry, underscoring His Royal Highness’s long-standing ties to Windenburg’s maritime traditions.
The Palace also unveiled the new Coat of Arms of the Prince of Brindleton Bay. Prince Phillip, who turned 14 in September, will soon begin royal duties in accordance with the Queen’s wishes. His heraldic arms reflect both history and future duty. Among the additions:
Heraldic Lapels, or white bars, adorning the lion and deer supporters — the traditional mark of cadency for the sovereign’s eldest son.
The Prince of Brindleton Bay’s Feathers Badge, a centuries-old emblem of the heir apparent to the Windenburg throne, whether or not the Brindleton Bay title is held.
The Arms of the Duchy of York, one of the two royal duchies of Windenburg, granted to the monarch’s eldest son at birth or succession.
The heraldic shield is ensigned with the coronet of the Heir Apparent, cementing Prince Phillip’s role as the future of the monarchy.
The Queen’s statement expressed her desire for the arms to ‘reflect the Realm’s enduring history while honoring the legacy of those who came before us, and inspiring duty in those who will come after.’
This resolution places the monarchy’s heraldic identity firmly in the 21st century — honoring the past while preparing for the responsibilities of the next generation.”
White Deer with Gold Crown & Chain (for Queen Isabella)
Prince consort’s Boar Retained, New Naval Heraldry Added
Lapels of Cadency for Prince Phillip
Duchy of York Arms Ensigned with Heir’s Coronet
Prince of Brindleton Bay’s Feathers Badge
Malcolm Ainsley: “Coming up next — how these changes in heraldry echo centuries of Windsor tradition, and what it means for Prince Phillip as he prepares for a new chapter of royal duties.”

THE QUEEN'S BURDEN PT. 2

BUCKINGSIM PALACE • YELLOW DRAWING ROOM • EARLY NEXT MORNING
Queen Rowena: You’re up early.
Queen Katherine: Didn’t sleep.
Queen Rowena: (noticing the letter) So it’s true, then.
Queen Katherine: Mt. Komorebi claims Father signed a treaty—pledging peace, sealed with a child.

Queen Katherine: A son.
Queen Rowena: (steps closer, measured) They didn’t name him?
Queen Katherine: Only a whisper. Kael.

Queen Katherine: You knew.
Queen Rowena: I knew... enough to be uneasy. Your father was a king who kept compartments — loyalty in one, guilt in another.

Queen Katherine: You suspected and said nothing?
Queen Rowena: What was there to say? I had no proof. No name. Just... gaps in his travels. Letters I never saw. A heaviness in his eyes after Brindleton Bay.
Queen Katherine: (coldly) So you left it buried?

Queen Rowena: I kept the crown from shaking. That was my task. Not to chase shadows… or make widows of peace.
Queen Katherine: And now I have to answer for it.
Queen Rowena: Yes. And you will. Because you wear the crown now — and they’ll test the strength of your silence before they believe the sound of your voice.

Queen Katherine: If this man exists—
Queen Rowena: - He is not your heir.

Queen Rowena: Let the diplomats wring their hands. Let the court lean in. But you, Katherine—stand. Let the sims see a queen who does not flinch when the past knocks twice.
Queen Katherine: Father once told me, “Every crown rests on something broken.”
Queen Rowena: (softly) Then let yours rest firmly.

Queen Katherine: If Kael comes forward...
Queen Rowena: Then you answer him as a queen. Not as a sister.

Queen Katherine: Did you ever ask him? Directly?
Queen Rowena: Once. He said, “There are truths that do not belong to the living.”

Queen Rowena: Make of that what you will.
- - - - - LATE MORNING - - - - -

Prince Rainier: (reading aloud, low and steady) “…and so by treaty, executed under sovereign seal in the year of our Lord 1940, Windenburg shall, upon any challenge to its rightful succession, honor the claim of direct male descent through King Edward I of House Windsor…”

Prince Vester: (slowly) That treaty was presumed ceremonial. A formality after Brindleton Bay’s sovereign integration.
Lord Thornwell: It is not ceremonial if it is sealed, ratified, and archived by the Office of the Crown. It holds force—especially in the eyes of Mt. Komorebi.
Queen Katherine: Kael. The letter names him as George’s son?

Lord Shaffer: No, Your Majesty. The letter bears no proof—only a formal notice that a claimant exists. And that Mt. Komorebi recognizes him under the treaty.
Prince Rainier: And this treaty… It was signed when George was King?
Lord Thornwell: Correct. July 1994. Two years after his ascension, and a year after Her Majesty's birth.

Queen Katherine: (quietly) And yet none of us have heard his name. No official record. No royal file.
Lord Shaffer: Because, if I may, Your Majesty— He was never acknowledged. Not publicly. The letter hints at private recognition… but without corroborating evidence.
Prince Vester: (curtly) Komorebi will twist that ambiguity to its benefit. They may be testing us. Or—preparing the world for a greater reveal.

Queen Katherine: What does this Kael claim? A title?
Lord Shaffer: Not directly. But the letter refers to him as “Kael, son of George, rightful bearer of royal line.”
Prince Rainier: We’ll need to verify every word. Every implication. Quietly.
Queen Katherine: (inhales) Have the Royal Archivist cross-reference King George’s travel logs, Brindleton Bay correspondence, and all sealed court records from 1993 to 1995. I want a list of every visit, every liaison, every unexplained appointment.

Lord Thornwell: Understood, Your Majesty.
Queen Katherine: (in a low voice) And summon Uncle Louis.
Prince Vester: Your Majesty?
Queen Katherine: He was closest to my father in those years. If anyone knows the truth, it’s the Duke of Kent.
- - - - - LATE EVENING - - - - -

Prince Rainier: I saw the council disband. I take it the news was… as severe as the seal suggested?
Queen Katherine: Severe, yes. But not unexpected. Uncle Louis has been laying this groundwork for years. Mt. Komorebi’s timing only polished the blade.

Prince Rainier: And the claim? This Kael?
Queen Katherine: Born to a Mt. Komorebian woman in Brindleton Bay. Allegedly raised abroad. Said to be the son of George.

Queen Katherine: A bloodline no one confirmed. A secret my father never confessed.
Prince Rainier: And yet you carry the weight of it now.
Queen Katherine: Because now it isn’t rumor—it’s a diplomatic weapon. Kael’s name is written into a treaty. A treaty delivered under the crown’s seal.

Prince Rainier: You’ve ruled for nearly a decade. You’ve quelled uprisings, defied Parliament, held the country together during recession and unrest. This—this is shadowplay. And you are not afraid of shadows.
Queen Katherine: I’m not afraid of him. I’m afraid of what his name can do. To the line. To the people. To Phillip.

Queen Katherine: He begins his Brindleish lessons soon. We speak of his investiture. His future. But this—Kael—he lingers. Like smoke in a sealed room.

Prince Rainier: Then open the windows. Let the smoke out. Let truth breathe, Kate. Before others shape it for you.
Queen Katherine: And if the truth cuts deeper than silence?
Prince Rainier: Then it’s better we bleed in the open than rot in the dark.

Queen Katherine: (softly) Oh, daddy. He left us a kingdom. And a ghost.
Prince Rainier: (firm) Then rule the kingdom. And name the ghost what he is.

THE QUEEN’S BURDEN PT. 1
- - - - - 28 SEPT 2030 - - - - -

BUCKINGSIM PALACE • MUSIC ROOM •
MASTER OF CEREMONIES: (offscreen) My lords, ladies, and honored guests — Her Majesty the Queen!

(Applause, Courtiers bow and curtsy)
Queen Katherine: (clearly, warmly) On this autumn evening, we gather in honor of the Crown — and of one who now steps closer to its shadow.

Queen Katherine: Tonight, we welcome His Royal Highness Prince Phillip Edward George, Prince of Brindleton Bay — son of the realm and future steward of its peace.
(Polite, warm applause)

Queen Katherine: Let music lead us into the season of change. Let joy dance beside duty. And let Windenburg shine in its unity.
(Applause swells)
Queen Rowena: (condescending) It's nice of you to show up.
Prince Louis: (condescending) Wouldn't want to give you another story to leak to the press.
- - - - - LATER - - - - -

Prince Louis: A bold speech, Your Majesty. I half-expected you to crown him tonight.

Queen Katherine: Not yet. He must first learn to carry it.

Lord Shaffer: Your Majesty — forgive the interruption. The Ambassador of Mt. Komorebi requested this be delivered directly into your hands. He passed it to me moments ago.

Queen Katherine: (sees the seal) What did he say?
Lord Shaffer: Only that it concerns royal legacy.
- - - - - MOMENTS LATER - - - - -

BUCKINGSIM PALACE • ANTECHAMBER
Queen Katherine: (briskly reading) “—in acknowledgment of lineage and by shared ancestry or consanguineous claims, both signatures recognize Kael of Komorebi, born of disputed lineage, as possessing ancestral ties to the Crown of Windenburg...”
Queen Katherine: (breathing halts)

Queen Katherine: (reads it again)
Prince Rainier: You vanished from the floor.

Prince Rainier: (reads treaty) Is this real?
Queen Katherine: The seal is my father’s. And the signature is his.

Queen Katherine: He left us with a crown... and a curse.

Malcolm Ainsley (anchor): Good evening. The Queen, Prince consort, and Prince of Brindleton Bay were pictured arriving at Westsimster Abbey over the weekend, where the coronation had taken place seven years earlier, to attend the wedding of Harrison Danberry, 6th Viscount St. Lester and the Honorable Melissa Frances, younger daughter of the 4th Baron Garnot.
Speculations continue to grow about a rift between the Queen and her uncle, the Duke of Kent, after he was noticeable absent from another royal engagement last week - Remembrance Day. The Duchess of Kent was also not in attendance.
The Queen and Prince consort are hosting an Autumn Ball next week and speculations on the Duke's attendance is already being talked about.
Now that Phillip is 14 and preparing to step into public life, the ball will be his first formal royal appearance since the palace announced his educational future. The ball will introduce him to noble families, foreign diplomats, and media without declaring it a formal rite of passage. The palace has not disclosed of any investiture plans for the Prince of Brindleton Bay.
Royal insiders speculate the Autumn Ball will also serve as a public show of unity and control for Her Majesty. A glittering event where powerful figures appear at ease - “the crown is not shaken” is the silent message the palace is pushing.

By Elira Vaughn | SNN National Correspondent
EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - After nearly two decades as the commanding presence behind the SNN Evening Report, Sir Anderson Crooper, CWE, has officially stepped down from his post, ending a chapter that has shaped both national news coverage and the network’s identity.
The announcement follows a string of quiet absences from the anchor desk in recent weeks, during which veteran correspondent Malcolm Ainsley had begun filling in on an interim basis. As of today, SNN confirms that Ainsley will assume the role of Lead Anchor permanently.
Sir Anderson, 54, joined SNN in 2014 after a decorated run in public broadcasting and quickly became a defining figure in Windenburg media. His sharp editorial instincts and steady on-air presence helped steer SNN through seismic global moments—from royal transitions and geopolitical flashpoints to the landmark 2019 earthquake in Oasis Springs, for which he received two Empire Awards.
Over the course of his career, Crooper has earned 18 Empire Awards in total and was awarded the Eliot W. Marlowe Prize for Broadcast Excellence, the profession’s highest honor. In 2021, he was personally invested as a Companion of Honour of the Order of the Windenburg Empire (CWE) by His Majesty King George, in recognition of both his journalistic distinction and his humanitarian service abroad.
Beyond the newsroom, Sir Anderson is the founder and acting head of the Crooper Humanitarian Organization, a relief agency dedicated to delivering food and critical supplies to civilians in war-torn regions across SimAsia and SimAfrica. Palace sources say he will continue this work “in expanded capacity.”
In a written statement released Tuesday afternoon, Crooper thanked the SNN family and his loyal viewers, saying:
“For seventeen years, I have had the immense privilege of telling this nation’s story—its triumphs, tragedies, and truths. I step away with pride, humility, and a heart full of gratitude.”
Network insiders acknowledge that Crooper’s departure coincides with ongoing structural changes within SNN, including a shift in editorial tone and pacing. Longtime Good Morning Windenburg hosts, Shon Gableton and Cameron Dorly, departed in 2029 and 2030 after similar shifts followed by their contracts not being renewed. While no official connection has been made, several sources suggest that tensions over direction and creative independence had grown more visible in recent months.
Still, tributes poured in from across the political, media, and cultural spectrum.
“Sir Anderson Crooper is a national voice—wise, principled, and deeply human,” said Lord Chancellor Edric Thornwell. “We are better informed because of him.”
Crooper has not announced any formal next steps, though many expect his humanitarian work—and potentially, writing—to take center stage.
Malcolm Ainsley will begin as Lead Anchor of the SNN Evening Report, bringing over three decades of journalistic integrity and global reporting experience to the national stage. Known for his calm authority and incisive coverage, Ainsley has become one of the most trusted voices in sovereign news.
Educated at the University of Britechester with honors in Political History and Communications, he began his career as a foreign correspondent covering conflict zones and royal tours across the Commonwealth. His keen insight into constitutional affairs and domestic politics made him a fixture in palace briefings, state visits, and live ceremonial broadcasts.
Ainsley’s hallmark is his balanced reporting style—equal parts gravitas and grace. Whether covering national elections, royal milestones, or international crises, he remains a steadfast voice of reason in an ever-changing media landscape.
He resides in Eldergate with his wife, historian Dr. Corinne Ainsley, and serves as a patron of the National Press Guild and the Easton Youth Literacy Initiative.

EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - Last week the palace announced that The Prince of Brindleton Bay would be starting at St. Augustine's Collegiate next month. The elite secondary school is known for its traditional, and religious teachings. Now, they're also known for their horrible security!
The school had a security breach last night and the Student IDs of the Prince of Brindleton Bay, and his four closest friends were leaked, along with two other students.
(L to R): Lord Ryan Ginsburg II (son of The 3rd Earl of Carsvil), Lincoln Adams, Lady Hali Jabari (niece of The 4th Earl of Bridgestone), and Lady Mia Myers (daughter of The 4th Earl of Stafford)
Neither the school nor palace have issued a statement on the IDs being leaked but sources say the school has already reissued the students new ID numbers.
The Ministry Police have also launched an investigation, and St. Augustine's is said to be fully assisting. Although no personal information has yet to be leaked, police are unsure if the hackers stole more than just school IDs.

The 14-year-old five-some have been friends since nursery school, attending Britechester Academy together before the boys went off to Cheave and the girls a few miles away at Benedict. They are all starting at St. Augustine's next month - one reason the palace may have selected the school for the young prince.

BUCKINGSIMSHIRE, Windenburg (SNN) - - The palace has announced that in October The Prince of Brindleton Bay will begin his first term at St. Augustine's Collegiate in Kent.
He will be privately tutored during the summer by the academic Dicky Rutledge, most likely in Windenburg Royal History.

St. Augustine's, established in 1912, has long ties to the Crown. They feature an annual royal lecture and more recently, added an annual memorial service for King George.
Several members of the Royal Family have attended St. Augustine's, including Queen Katherine, the Prince consort, and Prince Leo and Princess Anna of Kent.

Prince Phillip, who turned 14 on 13 September, was educated at private schools, starting at the nursery and pre-preparatory school, Britechester Academy.
His Royal Highness was there for two years.
From the ages of 7-13, Prince Phillip was a boarder at Cheave, a preparatory school for boys.
In 2024, at the age of 8, the Queen created him Prince of Brindleton Bay.

Schoolwork aside, Prince Phillip has developed a few hobbies in recent years - including equestrianism. The prince's unsurprising hobby follows in the footsteps of many royals before him.

Despite his young age, the future king is already an experienced rider, after competing in his first gymkhansim in 2024. The prince reportedly “loved” his maiden competition so much that he has competed every year since.
Prince Phillip and Prince Rainier have also become regulars at Sander’s Lawn, Windsor Great Park in recent years. The father-son duo are often seen riding or walking the grounds.
Windsor Stable, located in Abdenshore, Brindleton Bay, houses 6 of Queen Katherine's 8 riding horses, and 5 race horses. Her Majesty's other 2 riding horses are in a stable closer to the palace.

His grandfather, King George, began his education at Harbor House School in South Easton before moving to Cheave school for boys.
He then went on to Gilbertsons where he would become the third of five royals to attend, with Prince Louis and Lord James following after him, and his father and uncle, King Edward II and Prince Albert, before him. Gilbertsons is an elite co-educational private school for boarding and day pupils in St. Lester, Brindleton Bay. Royal insiders suspected Prince Phillip would end up there.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Britechester, King George served in the Air Force and Navy from 1984 to 1989.
His mother, Queen Katherine, began her education at Britechester Academy before attending Benedict School for girls. Her Majesty reportedly asked to be sent to secondary school like her peers and started at St. Augustine's in 2005.

His father, Rainier, began his education at Lancaster School near Wokingsim in Brindleton Bay, a 30-minute drive from Beaverdam Castle. Following in his father's footsteps, he started secondary school at St. Augustines in 2005.
The future Prince consort did not attend university, but completed a Royal Navy commissioning course at Eastonnia Royal Naval College and other courses during his military career.
In May 2015, the then Duchess of Brindleton Bay, graduated from the University of Britechester with a degree in History. The future queen had already been married to Rainier for almost two years and would give birth to Prince Phillip in September of the following year.
Though we are several years away from the young prince attending college (if he so chooses), the University of Britechester would be a sure bet.

THE FIRST LESSON

THE PRINCE'S QUARTERS • BUCKINGSIM PALACE • 13 SEPT 2030
- - - - - PART 3.3 FINALE - - - - -
Alfred [Estate Manager]: Your Royal Highness?
Prince Phillip: (snoring)
Alfred: Your Royal Highness? It's 7:30.

Alfred: It's 7:30, Your Royal Highness. Time to get up!
Prince Phillip: (groggy) Yeah. Yeah.

Alfred: (bowing) Good morning and Happy Birthday, sir!
Prince Phillip: Thank you, Alfred.
Alfred: Lucky Fourteen!
- - - - - LATER - - - - -

THE QUEEN'S DINING ROOM • BUCKINGSIM PALACE
Princess Grace: Happy Birthday, Phillip!
Prince Phillip: Thanks, Grace.

Prince Samuel: (giggles) hAppY bIrtDay!
Prince Michael: Happy Birthday! Hope that smell goes away this year.
(They both laugh)
Prince Phillip: Shut up, Michael!

Prince Rainier: Happy Birthday, son!
Prince Phillip: Thank you, dad!

Prince Rainier: Don't be late today! It's a very important day for you.
Prince Phillip: I know. I won't be.
Prince Samuel: (laughs) He's gonna be!
Prince Rainier: Samuel!
- - - - - THAT DAY - - - - -

PORTRAIT LIBRARY • WINDSOR CASTLE
Prince Phillip: (starring at portrait of King George, his late grandfather)

Queen Rowena: (softly, with reverence) He once told me he stood right where you are. Just after his twelfth birthday. Studied these faces and tried to find his own among them.
Prince Phillip: Did he?
Queen Rowena: Eventually.

Queen Rowena: But not before understanding what these portraits meant. Every sovereign here ruled during crisis—war, rebellion, scandal. And still, the Crown endured.
Prince Phillip: Mother always says the crown isn’t inherited. It’s earned.
Queen Rowena: She’s right. And you’re about to begin that work.

Queen Rowena: Your grandfather admired the ones who held firm when the ground shifted. Your mother? She vowed to become the kind of sovereign no portrait could fully capture.

Queen Rowena: Now it’s your turn—to decide who you’ll become. And how history will remember you.

Queen Rowena: (to Phillip) I’ll leave you to your father.
- - - - - MINUTES LATER - - - - -

WINDSOR GROUNDS • WINDSOR CASTLE
Prince Rainier: You’re wondering why now.
(Phillip nods)

Prince Rainier: Because your mother didn’t get to choose when her reign began. Her father died. The world kept turning. She had to catch up in real time. You, Phillip—you get to start early. You get time.
Prince Phillip: I don’t feel ready.
Prince Rainier: Neither did she. She was in her late twenties. Still grieving. Still learning. Raising young children. But she stepped forward because there was no one else to do it. What her father prepared her for had come.

Prince Rainier: You have us. And you have time. That’s the difference.
Prince Phillip: (quietly) What if I fail?

Prince Rainier: Then you try again. And you remember: you’re not here to be perfect. You’re here to be prepared.
- - - - - MINUTES LATER - - - - -

PRIVATE CHAPEL CORRIDOR • WINDSOR CASTLE
Prince Rainier: Your mother wrote this herself. Not as Queen. As your mother.

Prince Rainier: Starting now, things change. You’ll begin attending select council meetings with your mother. Sit in on sessions with the Lord Chancellor and foreign envoys. Quiet at first—observing. Listening.

Prince Rainier: You’ll study law, diplomacy, foreign policy… not just our history, but theirs.

Prince Rainier: You’ll learn what power costs—and how to wield it without losing your soul. As Duke of York, you will also gain access to the Duchy of York.
(Phillip nods, absorbing it)
Prince Rainier: And at the end of the month, you’ll start at St. Augustine’s. Your mother and I agreed. Many of your friends have enrolled including Hali Jabari!

Prince Phillip: (annoyed) I don't like Hali!
Prince Rainier: Fine. But this is more than school—it’s where you’ll begin shaping the prince you want to be.
Prince Phillip: (quietly, holding the letter) And what if I’m not ready?

Prince Rainier: Then we make you ready.
Prince Phillip: I’ll make you proud.
Prince Rainier: You already do.
- - - - - ACROSS TOWN - - - - -

THE QUEEN’S STUDY • BUCKINGSIM PALACE
Genevieve [Master of Ceremonies]: We’re expecting dignitaries from Mt Komorebi, Americreek, and possibly even Niregia. The ballroom will need to seat no fewer than three hundred.
Martin [Private Secretary]: Your Majesty, the press is already framing this as the largest royal event in a decade. It would serve the Crown well to position it as a moment of “continuity and confidence.”
Queen Katherine: (coolly) Continuity depends on who’s seated where. And who’s not.

Queen Katherine: Has the Duke of Kent responded?
Andrew [Lord Chamberlain]: (carefully) Not formally. His secretary acknowledged receipt of the invitation. Nothing more.
Kevin [Chief of Security]: I’d advise discreet watchfulness. If he attends, it’s a gesture. If he doesn’t… it’s a message.
Genevieve: (softly) Shall I remove his name from the receiving line?

Queen Katherine: No. His absence will speak louder if there’s a place set for him. Let the people wonder why he stayed away.
Martin: Shall we move forward with the traditional order of presentation?
Queen Katherine: (decisive) No. This year, we open with the children. Phillip and Grace will enter first, followed by Michael, Samuel, and Faith.

Queen Katherine: (gentler) Let the world see where the Crown’s legacy truly lies.
Martin: And if the Duke does attend?
Queen Katherine: (firmly) Then we greet him. Cordially. Publicly. What happens behind closed doors is another matter.

Queen Katherine: Make sure there are no surprises on the guest list. No substitutions. If anyone attempts to escort an unknown… stop them before they cross the threshold.
Kevin: (nodding) Understood, Your Majesty.

Queen Katherine: If my uncle wants a stage, he’ll find the lights already on. But it will be my court. My rules.

TIMES ARE A CHANGING

From Katherine's birth onwards, the Windenburg Empire continued its transformation into the Commonwealth of Nations. By the time of her accession in 2023, her role as head of multiple independent states was already established. What was not established was the longstanding trust Windenburg had in a young queen.
The first Seven years of her reign saw great change in the Commonwealth and expansion within the royal family.
At the end of 2025, the Queen was criticized for waiting eight days before visiting the village of Abersat, where a massive sinkhole disaster claimed the lives of 116 children and 28 adults, two weeks before Christmas. Martin Lavelle said that the delay, made on his advice, was a mistake that she regretted.
Udaku was elected Prime Minister and chaos quickly ensued. Though pivotal during the Abersat tragedy, after his coup was established, he was quickly voted out after serving a whopping 88 days.
Deputy Prime Minister, Morris Charmir, was voted into office and took the country into more chaos. Legislation was halted, the economy crashed, and 2025 ended in recession, starting a dismal beginning to 2026.
What held the country together through it all? Their steadfast queen.
2026

In 2026, the Queen had a controversial visit with US President, Harold T. Dixon. The Americreek president had become so politically toxic that his first state visit to Windenburg was downgraded to a working visit. This meant no pomp, no pageantry, and a slimed-down ballroom banquet hosted by the Queen.
The House of Commons refused to extend an invitation for him to address Parliament, as given to other sims world leaders, including his predecessors, Presidents Paulina McNally and Fitzgerald Grant.
Dixon breached royal protocol several times during his visit. When he arrived at the palace the Queen gestured for him to walk with her into the quadrangle to inspect the Guards. Instead, Dixon walked ahead of her, leaving Her Majesty to face his backside. Then he abruptly stopped, forcing her to sidestep and walk behind him to get alongside him. The Queen quickly adjusted and remained steadfast.

During the Queen's banquet at Buckingsim Palace, following the president's toast to the Queen, he breached royal protocol again by placing his hand on her back in an awkward gesture of thanks.
The visit caused outrage on the streets of Easton, with more than 250,000 sims protesting the Americreek president. Parliament was also in disarray, passing only two pieces of legislation all year. As inflation rose, sims of Windenburg protested relentlessly.
2027

By the end of 2026, Windenburg had lost tremendous credibility around the sims world. To help repair their image, Queen Katherine agreed to tour the Commonwealth.
Solely in her capacity as Queen of Gibralsim, she toured their first, often speaking pleasantly of how green and warm the country was with random flashes of rain.

She then toured Saint Malachi, continuing to represent great poise and tradition.
Her Majesty was greeted with elation when she arrived in the neighboring country.
On a visit to South Marvania the same year, she dismissed fears for her safety, even though her host, President Mandela Ofoluwah, was a target for assassins. Hakeem Maximiez wrote:
"The Queen has been absolutely determined all through ... She is impatient of the attitude towards her to treat her as ... a film star ... She has indeed 'the heart and stomach of a man' ... She loves her duty, and honors her commitments, and means to be a steadfast Queen."
While the hard business of politics long transitioned into the hands of those in Parliament, the Queen's public image after 2027 sealed the sovereign's dominance in the largely symbolic role of leading softer politics and public relations in Windenburg and abroad, different than her father and grandfather.
2028

"At 8:10am on 6 August, Queen Katherine gave birth to “an immense, healthy girl” in the Linda wing at Albert II Royal Hospital, with Rainier by her side."
At 35, Katherine gave birth to her fifth child, Her Royal Highness The Princess Faith Sofie, in August 2028. This was the second birth to a reigning Windenburg monarch since Her Majesty' twins in 2023.
Unlike previous pregnancy's, Queen Katherine never had her photo taken whilst visibly pregnant this year. Her pregnancy was kept shielded from the public, but speculations grew throughout the year when Her Majesty continually had the Prince consort and Queen Mother fulfill her duties. Even Parliament was unaware of the queens pregnancy until late June.

The Queen and Prince consort delighted Windenburg and the sims world with their Christmas portrait, featuring The Prince of Brindleton Bay (age 13), The Princess Royal (age 10), The Prince Michael and The Prince Samuel (ages 5), and The Princess Faith (age 4mos). It was the first time we saw the new royal family of seven.
Katherine became the first reigning Windenburg monarch to have five living children. Albert I had five but his first son, William (whom he had with his first wife Laura), died at the age of 3. Albert I went on to have four children with his second wife, Isabella.
2029

In the summer of 2029, Katherine made a state visit to New Wythonia, where she addressed the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of Windenburg. On the same tour, she opened the 33rd New Wythonian Parliament, becoming the first monarch of New Wythonia to open a parliamentary session.
After a tightly contested General Election in November, the Democratic Party remained in control.

Callaghan with his wife, Felicity, meeting with Queen Katherine at Buckingsim Palace as part of a ceremonial transfer of power known as “kissing hands”
Alex Callaghan was elected the 55th Prime Minister, after defeating Morris Charmir, and with a positive approval rating, he helped Windenburg begin to see an end to the recession.
After a six year battle, the Democrats finally passed Bill 174 2024-26. Among other things, the Spellcastor [Reform] Bill repealed section 40 of the Crime and Courts Act 1892 which banned the practice of spellcasting in the UK, with penalty of death.
2030

Katherine toured Mt Komorebi in March 2030, becoming the first Windenburg monarch to visit an authoritarian country, as her and The Prince consort undertook a seven-day tour of the country.

She was received at the airport by Emperor Akio Liu, and a crowd of thousands greeted her in their capital city, Beijsim.
The 5'3 Emperor, who is rarely seen in public, was impressed with the Queen. The visit was seen as a positive step in the relationship between the two countries, with hopes it would boost trade after the Strait of Sims Canal debacle.

The Queen and Prince consort photographed during their visit to the Great Wall of Mt Komorebi.
The Queen and Prince consort toured the Great Wall, the Museum of Qin Simra-cotta Warriors in Xi'sim, and the Forbidden City in Beijsim.
After returning to Windenburg, Queen Katherine focused on her son and heir, Prince Phillip. The Prince of Brindleton Bay will turn 14 on 13 Sept and preparing him for the crown would move to phase two.
By the end of 2030, the Queen's global image had grown substantially but tensions between Buckingsim palace and Kently palace began to domestically show after the Duke of Kent (greatly beloved by Windenburg) missed several royal engagements throughout the year, including 2029 Christmas at Beaverdam with other senior royals - his second time in four years with no justification given.
2030 will end with more than just drastic change within the royal family - a drastic revelation that could change the Queens legacy is also discovered.

THE COST OF SILENCE

THE QUEEN'S OFFICE • BUCKINGSIM PALACE • NOVEMBER 2025
[Equerry]: The Duke of Kent.
Queen Katherine: Uncle. You’re up early.
Prince Louis: I never went to bed.

Queen Katherine: Is Margot unwell again?
Prince Louis: She’s not sleeping. Can’t rest. She needs time away from this city—from those walls. So do I... We’d like to leave Windenburg for a while. A quiet holiday, just the two of us. Brindleton Bay or elsewhere.
Queen Katherine: (curt) This isn’t the time. I’ve asked the senior family to stay close while negotiations with Merrowvale continue. You know that.

Prince Louis: And I’ve honored it. But this… isn’t political. It’s personal. Margot needs air. Distance.
Queen Katherine: You want me to approve a personal vacation for a duchess while we’re in the middle of a trade war? Not just that, but a new, rogue prime minister?

Prince Louis: (steeling) I want you to trust me.
Queen Katherine: You gave me no notice. No explanation. You’re asking for the public to see the Queen’s own uncle flee the city while our economy burns.

Prince Louis: (coolly) We wouldn’t be fleeing. We’d be surviving... You don’t know what this is.
Queen Katherine: Then tell me.
Prince Louis: I can’t.

Queen Katherine: (stands) Then my answer stands. You will remain in Windenburg. Your wife may rest here, discreetly. But neither of you leaves this city.
Prince Louis: (coldly) You think I’m hiding something selfish. That I want to escape while you rule from your marble throne.
Queen Katherine: I think you’re asking me to compromise the dignity of this crown for reasons you won’t name. And I won’t do it.

Prince Louis: Someday, you’ll understand. And it will be too late.
Queen Katherine: (quiet) Then say what needs to be said, Uncle Louis. Or walk out knowing this is where it ends.

THE QUEEN'S OFFICE •
Queen Katherine: The Duke of Kent has made an unofficial request to leave the city. That request has been denied.
Martin [Private Secretary]: Shall I notify the press office?
Queen Katherine: No. There is no story. Not yet. But if the Duke attempts to depart Windenburg—officially or otherwise—he is to be treated as any peer in breach of Crown Protocol.

(Kevin and Martin exchange a look)
Kevin [Head of RPS]: Shall we alert his protection team?
Queen Katherine: (calmly) No. You will relieve them.

Queen Katherine: If he crosses the city limits, his royal detail is to stand down. No convoy. No armed escort. No royal shield. He will travel as a private citizen.
Martin [P.S.]: (uncertain) Your Majesty… stripping a duke’s security may be seen as punitive.
Queen Katherine: It is not punitive. It is procedural. He is declining to act as a royal. He will not benefit from the illusion of one.

Queen Katherine: And if he attempts to leave under pretense of Margot’s condition, remind him: this court has physicians. If she requires help, she’ll receive it here.
Kevin [R.P.S.]: Understood, Your Majesty.
(They bow. Exit.)

Queen Katherine: (deep sigh)

DOWN THE CORRIDOR •
Prince Louis: (to himself) So that’s how it’s going to be.

EVERYTHING'S POLITICAL

KENTLY PALACE • BEFORE SUNRISE •
Prince Louis: (running)

Prince Louis: (running)

Prince Louis: (running)

Prince Louis: (running) Margot? It’s freezing—come inside.

Duchess Margot: (voice thin) He’s still there, Louis. Every time I close my eyes. I hear the thump, the wheel judder—everything stops—and then nothing but night.

Duchess Margot: Six months, and it’s louder now. Louder than the tires, louder than the music that night. I try to sleep and the dark fills with him.
Prince Louis: Listen to me. You’re here. I’m here. We’ll get you away from these walls—away from all of it.

Duchess Margot: I can’t breathe here. The corridors echo. The portraits watch. When the guards click their boots, I think they’ve come for me.
Prince Louis: (firm) Then we go today. First light. I’ll petition Katherine for leave—formal or not. I won’t let you drown in this place.

Duchess Margot: She’ll say no. She’ll think you’re shirking duty, chasing a whim.
Prince Louis: Then she’ll hear what duty really costs. This isn't political!

Prince Louis: (softer) You saved me once. Now I’ll save you.

Prince Louis: Come. Dawn is near. Let’s go inside—pack only what you need.

QUEEN'S CHAMBER • BUCKINGSIM PALACE
(Lorenzo enters)
Lorenzo [Asst Private Secretary]: (bows) I'm sorry to interrupt, Your Majesty.
Martin [Private Secretary]: Lorenzo.
Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: Uh, I'm afraid there's been an incident in a coastal village in South Brindleton Bay. Recent heavy rain caused a massive sinkhole beneath a junior school, swallowing part of the structure. Significant loss of life appears imminent. I would suggest an immediate response.

Martin [P.S.]: What kind of response?
Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: A statement of condolence. I've taken the liberty of doing a quick draft.
Martin [P.S.]: May I?
Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: Please.

Martin [P.S.]: (reading) "I am shocked and distressed to learn of the horrible disaster which has taken place at Abersat. Please convey a message of heartfelt sympathy from my husband and myself, to the young sim's parents and to the families of those who have lost their lives. Signed, Katherine R."
Queen Katherine: (nods in approval)

Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: Downing Street has requested the use of an aircraft of the Queen's flight so that the new PM can visit the site of the tragedy later today. I assume that's a yes.
Queen Katherine: Of course!
Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: Unless you were planning... to visit today yourself?
Martin [P.S.]: (confused) What a question!
Queen Katherine: I don't think now is the appropriate time.

Queen Katherine: One of the most unfortunate things about being sovereign, I have discovered, is that you paralyze virtually any situation you walk into. The absolute last thing emergency and rescue services need, when they're working against the clock, is a queen showing up. I would like hourly updates.
Lorenzo [A.P.S.]: Thank you, ma'am.
(Lorenzo exits)

Queen Katherine: (stunned) I can think of nothing else but those poor children.
Martin [P.S.]: Forgive me, ma'am. There's just one more appointment to confirm today. A five o'clock reception for Sir Walter Vilis.

EASTON LANDING HUB • KENT
Tommy Udaku [Prime Minister]: So the queen doesn't think its a good idea to show up?
Austin Mathers [Aide]: That is what palace sources are saying. She's afraid of stealing the spotlight.
Tommy [P.M.]: I'm not sure I agree.

Tommy [P.M.]: Young sims have died. A community, that she reigns over, is now devastated. As sovereign, she should be on the ground showing comfort to her sims. Her not showing visible support will look very bad on the monarchy!
Austin [Aide]: You think so?
Tommy [P.M.]: The more I learn about this incident, this could turn nasty very quickly.
Austin [Aide]: This is an accident caused by unprecedented rainfall. It's not political!
Tommy [P.M.]: Everything is political, Austin.

EASTON (SNN) — Former human rights lawyer Tommy Udaku took office as Windenburg prime minister Tuesday, the newest leader of the ruling Democratic Party hoping to break a cycle of political chaos and start to address the country’s grim economic mess.
Tommy Udaku, 51, is a social liberal, fiscal democrat and leader of Windenburg’s Democratic Party, which official results Wednesday showed had won a parliamentary election by a landslide. He's been a member of parliament since 2017, and leader of the opposition — Prime Minister Linwood Keller's main rival — since 2021.
Udaku met with Queen Katherine at Buckingsim Palace as part of a ceremonial transfer of power known as “kissing hands” - one of the few times the public gets a glimpse of the duo inside the White Drawing Room.
After sending off Linwood Keller, the monarch formally appointed Udaku prime minister and invited him to form a government.
Udaku becomes Windenburg’s 53rd prime minister, since its creation in 1828.
Keller was the 52nd prime minister and 8th of King George’s reign when he was elected in 2022 — after the late Winstin Churchil resigned forcing a special election. He saw the country through the deaths of King George, The Queen Dowager, Churchil, and the Strait of Sims Canal debacle.
In a farewell speech outside No. 10 Downing St. early Tuesday, Keller stood by the raft of tax hikes — since abandoned — which sent markets spiraling, and the multiple scandals that plagued his cabinet which ultimately spelled his light-speed demise.
In what many sims believe a dig at his successor he said he's “more convinced than ever that we need to be bold and confront the challenges that we face.”
Keller, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer late last year did not mention the disease, his battle, or current health state during his 8 minute farewell speech.
After meeting with the queen, Udaku returned to Downing St., made his first speech as leader and began to appoint his Cabinet, personnel who will give a sense of how he hopes to tackle the plummeting fortunes of the country’s economy and his own political party.
Cabinet members are expected to be announced in the coming days.

2025 GENERAL ELECTION: THE RESULTS ARE IN!
By Cameron Dorly | Published by SNN
EASTON, Windenburg (SNN) - - The Democratic Party has won a landslide victory in the 2025 general election.
The party has taken 3 seats giving it a majority of 50.
It is the worst Conservative result in terms of seats in history, with the party on 43. The Green Party returns their highest tally since 1943, taking 11 seats.
The SNP gained one seats while the Labour Party lost one, a record low since 2013.
Vote share
Democrats gained 3 seats but their vote share increased by more than two percentage points to 38%.
The Conservatives saw their vote share plummet by 4 points to 33% and the party lost 5 seats.
Labour are in third place by share of the vote on 18% but they found it difficult to convert votes into seats, losing one. The party has returned their MPs, including party leader Norman Finity in Kimpton.
The Greens recorded their best ever general election performance, winning two seats and 9% of the vote, while the SNP gained one seat and increased to 2%.
Windenburg’s next prime minister is a human rights lawyer who once called for the Windenburg monarchy to be abolished, but years later knelt before King George to be knighted.
Tommy Udaku, 51, is a social liberal, fiscal democrat and leader of the United Kingdom’s Democratic Party, which official results Friday showed had won a parliamentary election by a landslide. He's been a member of parliament since 2017, and leader of the opposition — Prime Minister Linwood Keller's main rival — since 2021.

Udaku is the first Democratic leader to win a U.K. general election in 20 years, since Toby McNair in 2005. Over the past century, Democrats has been in the opposition much more than in power. But after 14 years of Conservative Party rule, Udaku benefited from the ruling party’s perceived missteps and internal chaos.
Queen Katherine is scheduled to meet her new Prime Minister today. This will be the second PM of the queens three-year reign.

THE LAST OPTION
- - - - - 72 HOURS BEFORE GENERAL ELECTION - - - - -

A SECRET LOCATION • EASTON • NOVEMBER 2025
[1??]: We agreed to wait until after the election. We don't know if the Democrats will choose him!

[2??]: We do know and we can't afford to wait. Once he becomes PM, he is sure to act quickly!
[3??]: I disagree. I think we have better odds waiting. Even if he becomes PM, he will be in a fishbowl. His every decision will be monitored. He'll be weak.

[1??]: Exactly! His party would turn on him if he went rogue.
[2??]: He's already gone rogue. His allegiance will always be to Oasis Springs. I vote we move now. Release this information now! Tonight! The election is in three days!

[1??]: No.

[3??]: No.
[4??]: No.
[5??]: No.
[6??]: No.
[7??]: No.

[2??]: Fine! Mark my words, if we wait we lose our leverage, and we lose our power. The Similati would be no more.

[2??]: (leaves)
- - - - - 49 HOURS BEFORE GENERAL ELECTION - - - - -

A SECRET LOCATION • EASTON
[6??]: Thank you for meeting again. I just...
[5??]: You can't tell them!
[6??]: What other option do I have? He is bound to leak the info himself, he's so eager to move on Udaku.
[5??]: There must be another way.

[6??]: Keller!
[5??]: Keller?
[6??]: He's the only other option.
[5??]: It's risky. What does your gut say?
[6??]: That I should see Keller.
[5??]: Good luck!

10 DOWNING ST • EASTON

Queen Katherine: Prime Minister.
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: For a few more days.
Queen Katherine: Don't say that. The polls haven't even opened yet!
Linwood Keller [P.M.]: Let's sit in my study.

Linwood [P.M.]: I can read the country, ma'am. They hate me. Plus, I've been so ill I haven't even been able to campaign for my other MPs. I'm the party piranha... or scapegoat.
Queen Katherine: You have given your life to serve our country. You are a hero! You're fighting for the nation while also fighting cancer.
Linwood [P.M.]: Thank you, ma'am. So, what do I owe the pleasure?

Queen Katherine: I just wanted to see how you were. Check up on you myself. I know election season can be quite stressful.
Linwood [P.M.]: Yes, well, it's all about how we manage it. Right?
Queen Katherine: Absolutely.

Linwood [P.M.]: Have you heard the rumor about Udaku? That he's working for the OS?
Queen Katherine: I heard. Do you think it's true?
Linwood [P.M.]: Who knows? The press will believe anything these days, without even checking sources.

Queen Katherine: (silence)
Linwood [P.M.]: If it's true, he would be asked to resign from parliament.
Queen Katherine: That could happen?
Linwood [P.M.]: We'd have the votes to move his party to act.
Queen Katherine: (silence)

Queen Katherine: Well, I've taken enough of your time, Prime Minister. I'm sure you have lots of pre-election things to do.
Linwood [P.M.]: Thank you for your visit, Your Majesty.
