The Duke & Duchess of Hasting's Mayfair residence. The ballroom as seen in season 1 episode 8 was by far my favorite part of this build. I love how the checkered dance floor contrasts with the beautiful stonework! This took a bit longer than expected as I also created the custom portrait of the Duke & Duchess.

So do you remember the royal consorts portraits going around royal simblr? Well inspired by @funkyllama, @warwickroyals, @thegrimalldis and @trentonsimblr I did my version of it but instead of it being just consorts this gallery also features some of Charleston's most notable rulers! Have a calming drink cause it's a long post!

King Henri & Queen Astrid [ruled from 1382 to 1401]. Founders and the first King and Queen of Charleston.

King Erik ‘the Bloodfist’ & Queen Sigrid [ruled from 1435 to 1448]. Successful war leaders who united the warring Northern Tribes and conquered parts of Nord and Rionnag. They were also both spellcasters.

Queen Sofia [ruled from 1448 to 1549]. The first female ruler of Charleston and also the youngest monarch to ever rule. Changed the succession law to equal. Had 3 husbands during her reign. Was a spellcaster like her parents. She also currently has the longest reign.

Queen Märtha [ruled from 1562 to 1576]. Second wife of King Fredrik. She was a Nordian princess that married Fredrik for political reasons, but the couple ended up actually falling in love. During her reign she convinced Fredrik to return taken territories back to Rionnag and Nord and established Nord as a minority language.

Queen Henrietta [ruled from 1662 to 1677]. First consort with a university education. Established laws for women's equality as well as criminalized marriages for anyone under the age of 15. She was also an excellent spymaster.

Queen Sylvia [ruled from 1732 to 1753]. A known patron of arts she helped funding the construction of Charleston's Opera House. Took over the crown after the death of her husband, King Gustav III and reigned until her death.

Queen Victoria I & Prince Consort Harald. [Ruled from 1834 to 1870]. Victoria I wrote several laws protecting children's rights into action, including work laws and the age of equal consent. Harald was one of the founding members of the Nordic Alliance and served as a representative there during it's first 3 years.

Queen Inga & Sir Arthur Johnson [Ruled from 1887 to 1935]. Queen Inga is the only ruler to have used a veto for their marriage. She took the crown after the death of her first husband King Gustav VI; who famously ordered the Spellcaster Purge. Sir Arthur was the last active duty royal knight, and an important character in stabilizing the nation after the purge and it's resulted conflicts.

King Carl-Gustav IV & Queen Arianne (pictured here as Crown Prince and Princess) [Ruled from 1935 to 1960]. First royal couple to have their wedding televised. Both were well known children's rights advocates and build multiple safe homes for kids around the world. Queen Arianne also founded the Children's Royal Library, a charity organization focusing on giving books to children and raising literacy rates.

King Daniel [Ruled from 1992 to 2004] & Queen Marissa [Ruled from 2004 to 2026]. During his rule Daniel added a third gender option to law and hosted multiple LGBT+ charity events. His wife Marissa continued his work after his passing and was a very vocal supporter of her grandson Henrik's relationship with Michael.

Queen Victoria II & Prince Consort Benjamin [Ruled from 2026 - 2036]. Victoria II abolished the law preventing heirs from marrying foreigners in 2034. She also was an accomplished military general and diplomat. Benjamin was a human rights advocate and an exceptional diplomat who's efforts in the field gained him several medals of recognition, the highest being the Nordic Union Cross of diplomacy.

King Henrik & Prince Consort Michael [Ruled from 2036 - ]. First same sex ruling couple. Henrik legalized spellcasters and set them protection laws. He's also the first spellcaster ruler since The Spellcaster Purge. Michael is a former competitive swimmer and nowadays a patron of Charleston's national swimming team. He served in the military during the Charleston-Salix war and earned the "Heart of Lion" -medal of courage for his actions.

Prince Rainier: What were you thinking? No letters to anyone. You know the rules. Those lunch club boys are not discreet.

Cmd Eldridge: Somehow the letter got back to Erica. She wrote to the palace and gave notice of her intentions to seek divorce.

Prince Rainier: This is not good, Jason. That means it got back to you-know-who.

Cmd Eldridge: We have to assume so.

Prince Rainier: Which is why the palace approved our stay in Dacana another four days. They want us away until they decide our fate.

Queen Katherine: (shaking hands) Again, enjoy your retirement, Justice Dathren. Your wisdom will truly be missed on the Supreme Court.

Lord Charles: Thank you, Your Majesty.

Martin: Your Majesty, the Simy Express is running a story tomorrow with the headline "Prince Consort's Best Friend And Wife Have Split." The Windenburg Times' top story is scheduled to be "Wife of Prince Consort's Private Secretary Seeks Divorce."

Queen Katherine: What can we do?

Martin: Elisha is speaking to the press in the Press Briefing Room in one hour. Our contact at SNN said they're willing to assist the palace in any way.

Queen Katherine: What is Elisha planning to say?

Lorenzo: That we are aware of the fact that Lieutenant Commander Eldridge is His Royal Highnesses's private secretary, he's a close friend, and that we are aware of the letter.

Queen Katherine: Any update on the Queen Dowager?

Martin: No, Your Majesty. The Duke of Kent has been by her side all morning.

Prince Rainier: Come in.

Cmd Eldridge: Sir. Do you have a moment?

Prince Rainier: (nods)

Cmd Eldridge: My lawyer in Easton emailed saying that although the press coverage is bad, it should quiet down in a day or two.

Prince Rainier: We both know that's wishful thinking.

Prince Rainier: I've received my own correspondence from Easton. This next step (clears throat), I hope you're not going to make difficult for me.

Cmd Eldridge: (shocked) I... I... No.

Cmd Eldridge: (somber) You'll have my resignation tomorrow.

Prince Rainier: I'll need it now.

Cmd Eldridge: I hereby offer my resignation as Principal Private Secretary to His Royal Highness The Prince consort, effective immediately.

Prince Rainier: (somber) Accepted.

Prince Rainier: You've worked for me long enough. You know the rules. Who we are. How this works. Mistakes and scandals, there's no room for it.

Cmd Eldridge: I understand.

Prince Rainier: You should probably leave us tonight. I suggest a strict "no comment" on all counts, including letters.

Cmd Eldridge: Yes, Your Royal Highness.

Martin: We must depart for the train in one hour if we're to stay on schedule, ma'am. You will only have three days to spend at Sumpterson.

Queen Katherine: I'm happy you were able to re-arrange things to give me a couple of days off.

Martin: The Prince consort returns Friday evening, and Saturday is the Duke of Norfolks ball. Is this the gown you're wearing, ma'am.

Queen Katherine: It is.

Martin: His Royal Highness has also been sent updated instructions for the disembarking. With news of Cmd Eldridge's resignation fresh on the minds of the press, they will be watching your every interaction once you step off the plane.

Lord Craig Darden: If you are interested in the property, I'm going to be very honest. It needs quite a bit of work. One or two windows might need replacing and the electricity, well, still needs to be updated! Oh, and there's no dining room to speak of.

Queen Rowena: (smiles) Oh dear. You're really not a salesman.

Lady Delores: Who is that?

Lord Darden: He seems to be on a mission.

Lady Delores: Running, and wearing a suit in this thick forest?

William Filmore: Your Majesty! Forgive me for disturbing you. I come from the palace. They ask that you return to Easton immediately.

Queen Rowena: Whatever for?

William Filmore: This is all the information that I have?

DOWAGER COUNTESS OF BAXBURY CELEBRATES 90TH BIRTHDAY

Windsor Palace released the following portrait to commemorate the birthday of The Dowager Countess of Baxbury. The painting, commissioned by Her Majesty The Queen, features the four living generations of Her Majesty's maternal line to celebrate her grandmother’s birthday. The Queen's niece, HRH Princess Arabelle, was also included.

The portrait was accompanied with a small biography of the Countess' life, reading as follows;

Vivienne May-Porter, The Dowager Countess of Baxbury, was born the only daughter of The First Viscount of Banlocke, Duncan Fitzroy-Ellory, and his wife, The Lady Mary as The Lady Vivienne Fitzroy-Ellory. Despite her father's social elevation, the Fitzroy-Ellory family were of low wealth at the time of the Countess' birth and, as such, the Lady May-Porter was exposed to social prejudice against more financially gifted peers throughout her early childhood.

Upon turning twenty-three, she married Wallace May-Porter, The Viscount Ellenthorpe, the eldest son of the 13th Earl of Baxbury. Upon her father-in-law's death, she became The Countess of Baxbury. Together, the couple had three daughters; the Ladies Rosemary, Lucille and Sophie. Their eldest daughter, Rosemary, was bestowed the title 'Viscountess Ellenthorpe' and named her father's heir. Their middle daughter, Lucille, married The Marquess of Yhvenhill, later becoming the Duchess of Hancester. The Lord and Lady May-Porter's youngest daughter, The Lady Sophie May-Porter, would go on to marry HRH Henry, Prince of Sandringham. Upon his ascension to the throne, she assumed the title Her Majesty Queen Sophie.

Join a Country Club Mod

Hello! Unfortunately, Rock Ridge Country Club has closed down due to financial mismanagement and embezzlement. However, your sims now can join an even better club: Cedar Creek Country Club!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve completely reworked the Country Club mod from scratch. This mod holds a special place in my heart as it was the first one I ever made, and I’m thrilled to present it with improved quality and new features.

If you’ve used my previous Country Club mod, you’ll notice both differences and similarities. So, how does the new mod work? Your sim can apply to become a member of Cedar Creek Country Club. This time, the process is more challenging, with the possibility of rejection, requiring more effort both financially and mentally.

However, the application process is streamlined for a smoother experience. Steps to become a member:

Pay Application Fee: This is a 5000 simoleon nonrefundable fee.

Fill out Application Form

Schedule Interview: Choose between two time slots and attend within 24 hours.

Write Letter of Interest

Submit Reference Letters: Cedar Creek requires two reference letters from current members. Your sim can ask a member directly or post on the Cedar Creek community forums. If a member is interested, they may call and offer to write a reference letter. This method is more challenging.

Attend Information Session (Optional): If you have questions about the club or application process, attend an information session available on weekdays.

These elements can greatly increase your chances of getting accepted into the country club.​

Once they become a member and pay the $10,000 initiation fee, your entire household will also gain Cedar Creek membership.

As a Cedar Creek member, there are ongoing fees to pay. You can choose to pay annually (over four weeks) or quarterly (over one week). It’s important to stay on top of these payments to maintain your membership. There are many activities your sim can partake in with family and friends. You can find these options on the computer in the Country Club pie menu.​

Your sim can try to appeal to the country club if they have been rejected, kicked out, or blacklisted. The chances of getting another shot are very low, but high charisma can significantly help.

If they get lucky and are invited to meet with the admissions committee, they have a few hours to attend the meeting and must commit immediately. If they were previously kicked out, they will still need to pay the initiation fee again.

Lot Trait

I have also added a Country Club lot trait with the mod. So as a Cedar Creek member if you don't feel like going to rabbit hole activities you use the country club lot trait and use it on any lot.

I wanted the Country Club lot trait to be customizable, so random members won’t show up automatically; you need to assign members to make it exclusive.

You can assign members by left-shift clicking on the computer and finding the option under the country club pie menu. There are a few social interactions available for different sims at the country club, depending on their roles.

The lot trait is straightforward, but the key is to assign members. You can also remove members using the same method.

Does this mod require any DLC?

No, it does not.

Ben: It happens because I don't care to check every corner of a club before having some fun alright. Michael: What about your security? Surely they could check. Ben: Yeah I don't take those with me. Henrik: Why on earth would you not?! Ben: It seriously isn't such a big deal why are you so uptight about this?

Henrik: "It isn't such a-?" *sigh * Ben you KNOW it is a big deal. Without security you could end up in danger. And the photos affect your image as a prince. Which is your job should I need to remind you. And like any job that comes with responsibilities. Ben: Well I sure as hell didn't ask to be a prince now did I. Michael: No you didn't, which is why your father and I have offered all you kids a chance to do something else. Henrik: Which you have not taken by the way.

Ben: Yeah and give up this life of luxury for what? A desk job? Yeah no thanks. Henrik: Ben your title isn't just some free pass you can use to get free clothing and an invitation to all the hottest parties. If you want to keep it you WILL have to start treating it as more then that. Ben: But it sort of is that dad. Henrik: Absolutely not! You are the second in the succession! If anything were to happen to me- Ben: Then Rora would take the crown and I'd keep on going as I always have. It's not like she'd pass the chance to have it. Henrik: Well I did have an international sex scandal with you. So I'm still one up on Ben in that. Michael: Oh dear Gods let's hope they spare us from that.

The bulletin reads: 'While Sleeping peacefully Queen Zarah died at four minutes past nine o'clock' - it was signed at 10:15 am by Sir Roger Webber and Lord John Evans, Her late Majesty's physician and surgeon.
