In some of my previous posts, I mentioned that I don’t own any paid expansions (except for the free ones from EA + Epic Games). So today, I wanted to share my favorite base game-friendly mods that make my gameplay so much better!

🌿 1) Wonderful Whims by Turbodriver This mod adds depth to attraction, preferences, and relationships—without the ahem explicit content from Wicked Whims (which was a bit too much for me 😅). Perfect if you want a more realistic romance system!

⚙️ 2) MC Command Center by Deaderpool An absolute must-have! This mod lets you control almost everything in your game—story progression, pregnancies, cheats, and more. The game just doesn’t feel complete without it.

💼 3) Career Mods by KiaraSims4Mods If you want more career options in the base game, Kiara has a ton of well-balanced and immersive careers to try out!

🤰 10) Pregnancy Overhaul by LittleMsSam Adds more depth to pregnancy. A small but immersive addition!

💤 11) Dreams & Nightmares by AlainBM_Mods Probably my favorite mod—it gives Sims actual dreams and nightmares that impact their mood. It’s such a unique touch to storytelling!

🌟 12) 100 Traits by Chingyu Adds SO many new personality traits, making Sims feel unique and realistic. No more identical Sims with the same base game traits!

💡Want to highlight your Sim’s biological parents?

Just add them to the сharacter сard, and boom - hover over the Sim’s icon, and their parents will be automatically highlighted ✨

No more tangled family trees! Everything is clear, quick and easy.

If a child is adopted, just add biological parents to their card. Even if they’re not in the tree, the child will still highlighted on their own!

And if you use occult markers, you can even add adoption icons for extra clarity!

Call it chaos. Call it art. I just call it fun.

One day, I’ll be famous for something more than an abandoned car in a hospital parking garage. (Yes, there’s a story. No, you can’t have it. Yet.) Today isn’t that day. Instead, it’s the day I start blogging about Sims 4 challenges that I may or may not finish. Call it chaos, call it art. I just call it fun. 🎮✨

I play with mods—lots of them. Will I link every CC item you see? Maybe not, but if you ask nicely, I’ll do my best to track it down. This space isn’t rated 18+ (not even sure Tumblr would let me), but with the sheer drama, messy stories, and occasionally unhinged gameplay you’ll find here, it might as well be.

I’m old enough to have nostalgia for landlines and young enough to still press "randomize" on life. Sims has been my escape for longer than I’d like to admit, but I’m always learning something new about the game. Challenges? I start them with big plans and messy endings. Maybe blogging will keep me on track. Or maybe it’ll just give my ADHD more side quests.

Training the New Guy.

The next day, a new man was waiting at the door of the book store for Esther to unlock it. She assumed he was a customer who just happened to be very enthusiastic about the new titles they had coming in that day - but he soon asked if there was uniform and what he was meant to do in this role.

She was to train him. Milo had left a note on the desk, finally sharing his plans with her. She felt an intense drop in her stomach whilst reading, but knew she needed to be brave and confident. This new guy depended on her... and he was kind of cute.

His name was Archie. He seemed sweet. Maybe promotion celebrations this weekend would need to be with him instead of Milo, he'd just secured a new job too, after all.

Noah got an unexpected call—he’s been chosen for 7 Wild Dates, a reality show where he has to go on seven perfect dates, all while hidden cameras capture everything. If he nails all seven, there's a grand prize waiting.

At first, he wasn’t sure about it. Dating on TV? It felt like it might pull him off his path. But the reward could really help his homestead grow. After thinking and praying, Noah decided to give it a shot, staying true to himself.

Rules

There is no set rules , just focus on having fun. Change this up or follow along, you choose.

You pick what Careers you want for each generation unless stated otherwise

Make money how ever you choose plus the ways listed for each generation.

Generation 1

- Make money from selling puppies and or kittens

- Make money from pet shop

        Aspiration - Friend of the

       Suggested traits -  Cat lover, Dog lover, Loves outdoors

🌟 New Update: Kitchen + Living Room! 🌟

Hey, Simmers! 🌸 So, while playing, I took a quick break and popped into another household to redecorate a bit. I’ve got some fresh CC, and I couldn’t wait to try it out!

In the kitchen, I added the usual essentials like oven mitts and a countertop outlet (because, let’s be honest, every kitchen needs them). I also got a new pot and appliances—sadly, they’re just decor and not functional, but they look cute! 😂

I also found some new wall art!

Finally, I don’t have to resize some smaller paintings over and over with cheats. My favorite creator for these beautiful pieces (and rugs) is samtuse963. Definitely recommend checking them out!

And then, there’s the new armchair I got. I’m in love with it! The floral pattern is just perfect. Shoutout to AggresiveKitty, the creator behind this gem. It’s just chef’s kiss! 😍🌸 Curseforge download (armchair)

Your Sims had been preparing for this hike for a long time – carefully packing their backpacks, choosing the safest route. That evening, they set up camp at the mountain’s base, lit a campfire, and gazed at the stars, warming up in each other’s embrace.

By nightfall, a soft layer of snow blanketed the ground. And in the morning, their adventure awaited – the climb to the very top. A long journey, slippery rocks, but they held on together.

And finally – the summit. Above them, an endless night sky; beneath them, the entire world. 

But the most important moment was yet to come. Just around the bend, she saw it – a bright message spelled out in tiny glowing lanterns: "Marry Me". She held her breath. The wind gently swayed the falling snowflakes, and there he was, kneeling before her, a ring in his hands.

"Will you marry me?" His voice was filled with tenderness and excitement.

She looked into his shining eyes and knew – yes. They stood there, high above the world, but their love soared even higher.

A Proposal at the Aquarium

This aquarium had always been their special place. It was where they had their first date, surrounded by shimmering blue waves, gliding stingrays, and curious turtles. They loved coming back here time and time again, spending hours watching marine life and imagining the world that existed beyond the glass.

This visit felt just like any other. They wandered through the halls, admiring the vibrant fish, laughing as dolphins put on yet another playful water show. But suddenly, in front of the massive aquarium, she stopped.

"Do you remember the first time we met here?" she asked.

She smiled, about to answer – but in that moment, she knelt down, a small box in her hands.

"Let me make you happy. Forever"

Her eyes filled with tears of joy. Behind the glass, jellyfish twirled in slow, mesmerizing patterns, as if dancing to the rhythm of their hearts.

"Yes!" she whispered, throwing herself into her arms.

A Proposal During Renovations

"Looks like the paint isn’t just on the walls", – she laughed, pointing at the bright streak on his nose.

They had been painting the room all day, turning it into a full-blown brush war. Paint splatters, laughter, a game of "guess the color" – their renovation felt more like a celebration than work. 

At one point, she went to the kitchen to prepare a quick snack, and in that moment, he was struck with inspiration.

Grabbing his brush, he quickly dipped it into the paint and started drawing a heart on the wall, planning to turn it into a proposal. But just as he was about to finish, he heard footsteps approaching. He didn’t have time to complete it.

She walked in to find him frozen mid-stroke, paintbrush in hand, standing in front of an unfinished heart. And right there on the table beside him an engagement ring.

Their eyes met.

"You… you’re…" She suddenly realized what was happening, then gasped, "YES!!!"

The renovation was forgotten. All that remained was joy, paint, laughter, and a love far greater than any wallpaper could ever replace.

The water was as smooth as a mirror. The boat swayed gently, cutting through the golden reflections of the lanterns soaring into the sky. They drifted slowly, savoring the magic of the moment, as if the whole world was woven from light and stars.

He held her hand.

"I’ve always wanted to see this", – she said, gazing at the hundreds of glowing lights in the sky.

"Me too", – he replied, rising to his feet and pulling out a small box. "But more than anything in the world, I want to see you become my wife".

The world stood still. Just them, the boat, the shimmering lanterns, and their love.

A Song Proposal 

He was nervous. His heart was racing faster than the beat of his favorite melody.

The park was bustling today – families, kids, musicians, street performers. They sat on a bench, sipping milkshakes, and he casually picked up a guitar. "Want me to teach you a few chords?" he asked. She smiled, taking the instrument. But after a couple of minutes, he gently took it back and said, "Now, just listen."

The first string trembled, then the second, and soon a soft melody filled the air. He sang about how he met her, how he fell in love, how he dreamed of spending his whole life by her side. The final note lingered in the air as he knelt down and whispered, "Will you be my wife?"

But it could be even grander.

That evening, the entire park gathered by the stage – spotlights shining, live music playing, a crowd of spectators. She stood in the front row, watching in astonishment as he stepped onto the stage. Surrounding him were friends, family, musicians.

He sang about love, about laughter, about shared dreams. He sang about her. The song swelled, emotions overflowed, and at the climax, he took a step forward, pulling out a small box. "Will you marry me?" – his voice blended with the ecstatic cheers of the crowd.

She covered her face with her hands, holding back tears of happiness. "Yes!" she cried, and the entire park erupted in applause.

The Proposal Quest

Text message: "I’ve hidden a puzzle for you. The first clue is in your room."

She found a card with a note: "The place where we had our first kiss". At the café by the waterfront, another clue was waiting. And so, step by step, she followed the trail through places that held their most cherished memories, collecting small gifts along the way, her favorite chocolate, a flower, and heartfelt words. 

The final clue led her to an old graffiti-covered wall.

He was waiting for her there. Behind him, among the colorful patterns, was a message: "Will you marry me?"

She held her breath as he dropped to one knee: "You’ve found all the answers. Now give me yours".

🌿 New Gameplay Update – (Not Quite) Rags to Riches! 🌿 Part 2

⚠️ TW: Death 💀 (elder Sim passing, ghost interactions)

Hey, Simmers! Brunhilda has been playing her guitar anywhere she can, trying to earn enough simoleons to survive. She even played in the park, where her questionable musical talent put the surrounding Sims to sleep. 😆

But let’s be real—what’s a Sims playthrough without a little romance drama? I decided that Brunhilda needed to find the love of her life, so she started dating non-stop until she met someone she found Extremely Attractive. And guess what? That person was none other than Bruno di Caprio. (Yes, this was supposed to be Leonardo di Caprio, but my naming system dictated Bruno was next, so… here we are. 😆)

Small issue: Bruno was already an elder. 🫠 And when he and Brunhilda finally took things to the next level, well… he literally dropped dead. Right after woohoo. 💀

I begged Grim Reaper to spare him, but no luck. And then, just when I thought things couldn’t get more ridiculous, Bruno’s ghost picked a fight with Grim. Like sir, you just died, this is NOT the time! 😭

Also, Bruno was married before all this, but fun fact: when a Sim dies and becomes a ghost, their marriage status disappears. So... problem solved? 😂 No longer bound by his previous commitment, Bruno proposed to Brunhilda from the afterlife. Because nothing says "till death do us part" like… completely ignoring death. So yeah, now Brunhilda has a ghost fiancé. Because, of course.

Then, I wanted Brunhilda and Bruno to have a baby. But, surprise surprise, ghost Sims can’t impregnate anyone. (EA, please, let me have ghost babies properly!!) So I thought—well, why not try for a baby with Grim Reaper instead?

A great idea, except... it wasn’t working. No matter how many times they woohoo’d, Brunhilda just wouldn’t get pregnant. (Brunhilda + Grim Reaper ... and Bruno just playing video games)

So I caved and used MC Command Center to manually assign Bruno as the father. I had planned for one baby, a single little sim boy, and moved on.

Then, I took a quick detour to fix up some CC outfits for my townies. While I was at it, I noticed that one of my Sims had just given birth to identical twin girls, and I was genuinely impressed because they looked exactly the same—like, perfect copy-paste twins. 👀

Feeling good about my little makeover session, I went back to Brunhilda’s tiny home and started renovating a beautiful nursery with the money she and Bruno had saved up.

Everything was set up, all ready for their one baby.

Then I sent Brunhilda for an ultrasound and...

"Excuse me? Why are there TWO babies? I ordered ONE!???" 😭

Sooo, yeah. Looks like Brunhilda is having unexpected twins. Thanks, universe. 😭

— Looks like I forgot to set the "number of girl babies" in MCC To get just one boy, I needed to set girls to 0… but I left it blank. And of course, the menu says "leave blank for random." RIP me. 💀😂
