When Inej leaves Ketterdam she steals a coat. Not just any coat, it belongs to a certain barrel boss. He didn’t quite realize something was missing, at least not until Inej was standing on the ship that was going into the open sea. She turned around, leaned on the side, reached for the thing that was laying on the ground and slowly, looking at him directly, puttied on his coat. She smiled to him, her face was glowing in the sun and he just couldn’t take his eyes off of her.

Only a couple hours later, when she was long gone and he was seating in his office, he realized what she’d done.

And then he burst out laughing, he didn’t do it for years, he laughed and laughed until he couldn’t breathe, until the room went dark and he felt like he would soon faint.

On the table lai a note “fifth harbor, seven month from now, bring my favorite bread. Only then will you get your coat back”

He knew she would come back, she always did.

A Story of her Own

This is the story of a Sun Summoner that is much much older than the Darkling and is looking for her own haven if one might say. Can Aleksander be that for her? Is it even what she's looking for? Well you'll have to read the story to know ;)

Back in 2021, after watching Shadow and Bone for the first time, I somehow got inspired and started writing. And the result was this, my very first fanfic, A Story of her Own.

To be honest, there are a lot of cringe parts specially in the beginning and you can tell I'm newbie writer, but I'm still super proud of it. What I'm less proud of is that it's still not finished, but I've been working a lot on it recently so maybe I'm finally going to complete this.

I am taking a looooot of liberties in this, regarding canon, the magic system, the history of the world. But I do think it's at least coherent. Also there's a lot of smut because... I like that.
