mini dedication essay to black simmers and ts4 creators below! pls read if you have the chance! <3

this edit is a small homage to afrofuturism and the various unique black hairstyles (and especially the black creators of most of these hairs) that i have downloaded and admired over the years! some of these are old and some of these are new.

to me, afrofuturism means constantly honoring/reclaiming/challenging the past while constantly creating/dreaming of a better society/world/future. a society/world/future that embraces and empowers all of our differences, ingenuity, aspirations, and unique lived/cultural experiences. a society/world/future that does not limit us through the various systems of marginalization and oppression (racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, sexism, xenophobia, ableism, classism, colorism, etc.) that often affects how we, as black people, live today.

blackness is so diverse and intricate yet it's always been a struggle to find my culture within a game that's known for being so limiting, bland, and extremely eurocentric when it comes to hairstyles, clothing, food traditions/events, etc. black simmers have always had to figure out how to make this game more inclusive and make it resemble either more like how our ancestors lived, how our current lives are, or how we would want our lives (and even our children's lives) to look like in the future no matter how dystopian the real world look and feel now. fortunately, these hairs and their uniqueness bring a huge sense of culture and style to this game. they have always inspired me and made me feel extremely proud to a part of the lovely african diaspora (and the ever-growing black simmer community).

in a way, being a black simmer and cc creator usually means that we are often digitally creating our own worlds as afrofuturists to varying degrees (whether we know it or not) every time we open our game, make our sims, make houses, and/or make black cultural cc. also, now i know that cc making is not easy to do and is extremely time-consuming so this post is also just me giving all black cc creators especially those who create for free their well-deserved flowers! here are some other black cc creators who created cc that have greatly impacted my game since i first started playing sims 4: @/leeleesims1 @/simtric @/hi-land @/yuyulie @/sims4bradshaw @/ebonixsims @/xmiramira @/sheabuttyr @/qwertysims @/oplerims @/sleepingsims @/shespeakssimlish and so many more im forgetting probably (im too shy rn to tag ppl but i greatly appreciate y’all fr i hope y’all telepathically get this message somehow 😭).

I've wanted phalloplasty scars in the sims4 for eons now as a few of my OCs (pictured above) have had bottom surgery, but no one had made any yet, so I decided to make my own.

I ended up going all out and also making a set of hysterectomy and top surgery scars to match the style of my phalloplasty scars.

This is my first ever cc!! So if anyone has tips or tricks or really useful tutorials pls send them over I'm very fresh to all this.

I've tried to make them all be Maxis Match and Base Game accessible!

Unholy alliance spoilers

I do love the narrative arcs for the bishops, I really do. But I think it’s so funny, that, yes, the bishops have closure—they love each other, they care about each other so deeply, they lament the past and what they have done to each other (and I guess by extension the Lamb). It’s very sweet, and tbh, I think it’s very nice that at the end of it, the ex-bishops only need each other to remain happy and content.

At the same time……where is closure for the Lamb? That’s all well and good that the ex bishops see the Error in how everything had gone down but….

like the Lamb must just be like oh it’s so good :) how you are all happy :) with your family :) oh this is your home? That must be nice. It must be wonderful to have a home and a family :) No I do not feel a pit of agony in my stomach as my entire species is dead and that this ‘family’ is predicated upon my manipulation and intimidation, therefore always bringing a barrier between me as an individual and me as the God :) no this ascendancy into godhood didn’t warp my view of love being only in the lens of worship and how I can no longer connect to others around me (beneath me!) on a genuine level. *incoherent noises* Error 111 again? In the same household? I thought I solved that. Obviously, the recipe for the dish that's causing error 111 is missing, so the game can't load it? I have no idea which modder has made a custom recipe for Beef Ramen. I tried Littlebowbub, Oni, Icemunun, BrazenLotus, and Robin. The usual subjects for Maxis Match custom food. But none of them has a recipe for that dish. So... Help? Please? If I can't solve that I can't play three of my sims anymore. The two sims living on that lot, and the sim who's currently visiting them.

The newest version (1.8) lets you have multiple xml files.

I rearranged mine to put my vintage one at the top and added the repository, cccasok, and the hairsystems one I just made. If you need help with the code let me know what you need. (I haven’t heard of an “alt-mfbsok” yet).

I think I fucked up the BSOK editor when I tried to edit it to work with the alt-mfbsok. thankfully I had a backup of an older version.

maybe I can poke the guy who made it and see if he can add the alt-mfbsok to it, but i feel bad asking considering how badly my attempts to update the damn thing have gone in the past

I get pretty bored with the same careers because Get to Work and Discover University haven't been updated since their release so here are some jobs/degrees I've put together to help with that.

I also use the sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas cheat to change their uniforms into what I think that professional would wear. For the more entrepreneurial careers it helps to have community lots your Sim can visit to work.

Physics & Computer Science degree + Work on Rocket Science and Programming skills

Education (Professor Branch, lvl 8) ➡️ Art History Professor
