I know we all have a lot to worry about right now but something very close to home for me is breaking national news right now so:
Please follow and with any spare energy you have get activated about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He's a 29 year old father from Maryland who is in custody in El Salvador right now without the ability to contact his family. He was deported due to an "Administrative Mistake" (quotes are not mocking. that's what the white house admitted verbatim.) despite being specifically granted protection by a judge due to threat of violence.
JD Vance is lying about his case on twitter. As this story breaks into the national mainstream please spread the word that (even though it shouldn't matter anyway) Kilmar Abrego Garcia does NOT have a criminal record, and fearmongering about MS-13 specifically has been used to marginalize Maryland's Latino immigrant community my whole life.
This is tired, and it's violent, and it's bullshit. Please advocate in whatever way you can for Kilmar's safe return home.
