Dovepaw being worried for the other Clans + her thoughts about having this power should put her above the Clan rules could be so interesting. the series back-and-forths over Lionblaze (we must protect ThunderClan) and Dovepaw (we must protect all the Clans) even though Lionblaze gets annoyed at Dovepaw for using her powers to look after ThunderClan???

The whole "being obsessed with Prophecy and what it means" is probs a part of Jay's character (as he baso became a med cat to fulfil his destiny) but it also feels like a gross misunderstanding of what a Prophecy is. All the "the dark forest is rising. This might be what the Three is meant for" is like putting the horse before the cart- a prophecy is meant to describe a situation and hint at the character/means to solve it; but PO3/OoTS has the characters/means to solve, but no conflict :/ its a bit backwards.

I like the mentions of Firestar + Sandstorm going on night hunts etc.

Blossompaw/fall's a cunt lol. Shes kinda fun but shes not nice at all especially to Ivypool.

also the title??? is banger. the Forgotten Warrior, with Leafpool on the OG cover??? wow. espec as its constantly brought up that Leafpool was the medicine cat but no one sees her as a warrior really.... TBH all these titles are just as good as the TPB titles in terms of meaning/how good they are.

so so happy that you asked about this one kairo, it's very dear to me bc i'm also a huuuge fan of cannibalism as a concept <3 (the way most of my sukuna drafts include cannibalism lmao, but he's just perfect for that)

generally, i want to portray cannibalism as a way of trying to keep someone, being afraid of losing them, done out of desperation, and idk if it makes sense, but I think once you read about reader's backstory in the finished fic it will make more sense

it's going to be a non-linear narrative, so with some flashbacks in between that show reader's backstory and how her cannibalism started, and also how her relationship with sukuna began and progressed

sukuna is actually going to be the 'normal' one here (more or less). i thought it would be interesting to make reader the fucked up one in this case, tho sukuna will still be sukuna yk

it will also focus on her relationships with the men in her life, like her father (with whom she has a very strained, distant relationship and who abandons her), her adoptive father (who ends up dying👀) and sukuna ofc

and she moves into this small town after some things happen in her home town (cannibalism😁)....and she meets sukuna who's been living there his entire life and wonders why someone, especially a young woman like her who'd usually be starting university or at least be trying to move into a big city, would suddenly move there

there are still some things i need to figure out, like what sukuna does and how he finds out about reader being a cannibalist...

it's going to be pretty gross and angsty, but also kind of sweet and romantic in its own way^^

I might even include some smut, not rlly sure about that tho👀

it’s clear that the 2012 writers don’t rlly know how to commit to romantic subplots so they either go the “they are super into each other right off the bat so there’s little build up” angle or the “will they won’t they,, but we’ll never show them actually get together” angle

i’m not saying these are atrociously bad or anything but it can be really annoying in the long run

apritello is the entire reason i got into 2012 when i was 11 lmao so it got stale for me when the show focuses less and less on their development since they didn’t want to commit to an actual subplot after the bigfoot fiasco. they both grow, sure, but it’s pushed to the background and we never see them talk about it. instead we get a kiss in a non-canon music video ://

with ramona, while it’s incredibly sweet how in love they are, the pacing of their first episode was ,,,, bad lol. the first time i watched it i was so underwhelmed i was like,,, this gets better?? right?? and it did but yeah i think that first episode for sure needed tweaking.

and more mona would’ve been great too. she needed some character exploration outside of her relationship with raph,, like having her talk more with the other characters her age (i would kill for april and mona content). i’m not saying she doesn’t have depth. she does. but a lot of it gets pushed to the background for her dynamic with raph.

they just didn’t even try with mikey and renet i’ll be real. they threw renet in there as a love interest and then kept making her and mikey kinda go in circles with their interest in each other. they’ll be cute and close in some scenes and then renet will act like she’s just humoring him while mikey kinda forgets about her when shini shows up.

i think renetangelo is cute to some extent (tho i do dislike 2012 mikey a bit so that doesn’t help) but time travel romances are automatically rlly hard to write well and since 2012’s romance writing is already messy, they weren’t going to do well. and renet herself is automatically more interesting when she’s not interacting with mikey. like her platonic dynamic with leo?? adorable. my favorite renet is 2003 and she’s not a love interest and she’s so charming!! renet is just a fun quirky friend of the turtles.

y’all know i love a lot of tmnt love interests so the fact that i prefer renet as a friend prolly says a lot about how she should be written gjdkdk

i don’t wanna talk about leo/rai much, but other than the glaringly bad i/ncest issue (both siblings and cousins), they just weren’t very good as a romantic dynamic either?

but like ,,, with karai, leo saw her as an escape from being a leader so he can explore his rebellious streak. which is interesting! but unlike with lotus, leo was willing to betray her behind her back, and karai was willing to manipulate him to do what she wanted him to. but okay that’s getting off topic. back to the pacing,,

season 1 gets a pass for me since i actually love the pacing of season 1 alone (like honestly, after the cousin reveal, there wasn’t any romance up until season 2 from my memory,, and even before that after karai betrayed leo and the other brothers found out, leo wasn’t into her,, it was his brothers who were making fun of him), but afterwards, season 2 onward,the timing of leo/rai moments were always a slap in the face bc they were always. ALWAYS. right after they acknowledged her as family THRJEKSJDJDKSK

but yeah i think pacing is the worst problem of 2012 ships :p

i watched speak no evil w my brother and now i need to talk about it. not to make this about race but something that jumped out to me was that this movie would only work with the whitest fucking family you’ve ever seen. let’s start at the beginning

1) we did get there late so idk what purpose dunking on danish ppl served so let’s just skip to the part where they let their twelve year old daughter ride a scooter with a man they JUST met. if some white middle age man offered to let let me ride saddleback on his motorcycle my parents (or at least my dad) would be like hell to the mf no and then we wouldn’t be allowed near him or his wife or his son ever again

2) speaking of his son that’s another reason why the movie would be over before it started. that’s prob more of an immigrant thing though (or like a machismo thing) bc i don’t think i’ve ever been allowed to play with boys no matter how old we were

3) okay actually my mom would have been a little fooled by that british accent

4) oh my god if we went over to this family’s house and the hosts were like “you’re sleeping in the same room as our son! :)” my parents (probably both of them) would be like hell to the MF NO. and then we’d drive back home and go no contact

5) the lack of backbone killed meee. if for some reason we weren’t gone by then you know what would have done the trick? some unfamiliar man being our fucking babysitter. my dad would be PISSED. my mom would be like “a brown man? girl…”

6) the husband telling everyone to swim in their underwear? girl…

7) i’m kinda forgetting the other details so im officially done dunking on white ppl. no offense to agnes bc she was distressed but feigning her period while she was bleeding in the front was like ..?

8) OH WAIT. back to dunking on white people bc if my parents (even my mom!) found me in some family’s BED holy shit. they would not careee about that lady’s sob story they’d escalate shit so much that the hosts would just kill them right then and there

9) also that stuffed animal agnes had was sweet and i love the lengths her parents went for her but my dad would be like get the fuck OVER it girl. and then if i tried kicking the backseat well. haha. let’s just say thqt wouldn’t end well

10) okay but also if i showed my mom those pics i dont think she’d believe me no matter how weird these people were LOL. like she’d still try to leave but i dont think she’ll be like “omg you’re right!”

11) the cheating beat was what rlly did it for me. like if that were my family the movie would be over before it even started. like i was confused why the wife kept saying her man was angry bc he never even yelled at her and the closest he ever came to lashing out at agnes was trying to get her to stop kicking his seat

12) he rlly was so in love with patrick though i thought there’d be at least one kiss between them

13) why did ppl (read: men) in the theatre start BELLY LAUGHING when patrick kept kissing the wife? gross

Idk if other people care or not but something I cannot get over in Poppy Playtime is, so far, has a TERRIBLE allegory & message ab child abuse.

the antagonist of the game are the kids playco didn’t just abuse but also tortured and enslaved, and how does the game paint them? It not only demonizes them and KILLS them for revolting against their abusers, but also has us, the player, someone WHO PLAYED A PART IN IT, kill them ourselves??

In chapter 3 it’s especially bad because the hour of joy is painted as a bad thing, even though the whole point of it was to free the tortured child victims. They say “they killed innocents too!” As if to say that makes them equally bad? It’s such a gross way to portray child absue victims it’s uncomfortable. I find it so odd how the game goes out of its way to show us the torture the kids endured at playco but also have us kill them for acting out/becoming insane after said torture.

And it gets to the point where I ask “what is this game trying to say?”. Fr what is it? Human experiments are bad but also the victims are bad too for going crazy and wanting to kill their abusers?? I don’t understand.

The victims aren’t perfect and I’m fine with that but I can’t stand how the “violent ones”are portrayed to be heartless monsters while the nonviolent ones are the good guys. Fang has a similar thing with bloodthirsty kids souls but it doesn’t actively make us root against them either,

Monty strummed his bass, humming the lyrics to a song one of the staff had showed him yesterday. He was spending the day with Sun and Moon while the plex was getting deep cleaned, since Superstar Daycare was one of the last places on the list.

Well, mostly Sun at the moment, Moon’s AI was taking a nap in their shared headspace.

Monty stopped playing to nudge the other with his elbow.

“Hey, Sun.”

“Yeeeeeeees?~” Sun lilted, rotated his head to look at the gator so he wouldn’t have to from his comfortable position.

Monty cleared his voicebox and drew in a deep ‘breath’.

“Mon-?”

“GRAAAAAAAAAAWWWRRRR!!!”

“GOODNESS GRACIOUS!”

Sun swayed, disoriented from the sudden sound; auditory processors  ringing. 

“What the Faz is going on?!?” Moon yelled. His nap had been rudely interrupted by whatever the heck just happened and he demanded to know why!

Oblivious to their confusion, Monty grinned at the floor and scratched his cheek with a claw, the end of his tail twitching as he tried to hold back from wagging it full force.

“That means ‘I love you’ in gator,” he said, awkwardly. “Made it extra loud so Moonie could hear it too.”

Well gosh, they couldn’t be mad at him now.

“Aaawwww, Gummy. C’mere, you!”

Sun held the gator’s cheeks to turn his head towards them and pressed their faceplate against his snoot, and then all over his face.

“Mwuah! Mwuah! Mwuah!”

Monty laughed, trying to break out of the Daycare Attendant’s hold.

“We love you too, silly.”

“Bleh, gross!”

Monty jokingly rolled his eyes and lightly bunted his snoot agains Sun’s faceplate in retaliation.

Fully explained below but tl;dr - it’s either until the travis team (i legit forgot the name i know the colour is red or smthhhh) keeps winning the Super Bowl/maintains a relatively good reputation OR until Taylor gets bored of him and looks for another shiny toy to make a complete fool of herself over (so like by this time next year) OR they get married and ride off into the sunset towards some happily ever after.

Howeverrr just for funsies: the way I see it is by working backwards, starting with if I see them getting married, and honestly…based on ttpd, leaning towards yes. When they will get married I have no inkling and I don’t even feel like speculating cuz of all those gross pregnancy/marriage rumours going around 🤢 I think they’ll get married cuz:

their careers are such that they’re both lifting the other up when they show up for games/concerts, there is no conflict of interest (ie no competition) cuz of the vastly different fields they’re in. Also, he was more established than joe at the start of their r/ship which makes for a very rosy picturesque love story image which at least some part of Taylor desires (based on her interviews, the fearless/speak now eras) but she’s also become quite jaded (as per ttpd) so maybe she thinks this is the closest she’s going to get to it

i also think she’s in no rush to leave a r/ship this comfortable after her last 2 emotionally complex ones. Not saying this is good or bad of her; I do understand why she would want to take it easy now (and possibly forever) but given how little they seem to have in common, I don’t think she can find this r/ship as emotionally fulfilling as she would want with a life partner, so I don’t see them sticking it out forever.
