Some doodles from a few weeks ago--one platonic, one romantic.

The drawing on the left is April using Raph as a throne (bc she's a queen... it sounded funnier in my head). I like to think the turts just kinda let April do anything with/to them, within reason. They know she wouldn't purposefully harm them, so they go along with whatever, especially if it's amusing.

The one on the right is Donnie helping April get comfy after a stressful day. I haven't been super into the romance genre lately, but decided to draw middle-aged/married Apritello fluff, anyway. Just wanted to portray my fav thing in any type of relationship: Soft, selfless acts of kindness for the sole purpose of caring about a loved one's well-being. <3

Donnie was supposed to have his arm/leg bands and belt but I was side tracked while drawing this and forgot they existed lol (I can usually effectively draw and watch a show simultaneously, but apparently that wasn't the case for Only Murders in the Building lol--I was too invested in the show).

I finally finished it... I didn't draw for a long time because of my poor psychological state, but it kind of passed.

They are about 35-40 years old here. They are married, but each has left his last name (yes, it is possible). They did not have a wedding in the usual sense. They just signed and celebrated it with their friends and family. Everything was calm. That was enough for April and Donnie.

April and human Donnie silliness

I'm not typically a fan of romantic flirting, but this idea made me laugh (and I hope it makes you laugh, too) XD

I have this hc where Donnie spent years pretending to be suave/flirty with people he liked (it was part of his "emotionally unavailable bad boy" image he thought he needed in order to be liked). In the beginning of dating April, Donnie realized the suave image was the opposite of who he is and wasn't who he enjoys being. April is completely unaffected by romantic/serious flirting (she thinks it's kinda cringe), and originally started flirting back as a joke... until she realized 1) Donnie is weak for her and actually enjoys being flirted with, and 2) she enjoys making him a blushing mess, which is not hard to do.

Later on, they develop a playful competition to see who can fluster the other person first (Donnie has yet to succeed, but he's determined to find what makes her blushy... which is a comic I have a storyboard for and plan to finish at some point).
