i need this cold to go away NOW PLEASE

it has been four days and i think i have gone through every conceivable symptom. i’ve had the aches and pains (gone now), i’ve had a sore throat (also cleared up), i’ve had constant, yet mild, nasal and chest congestion, i have laryngitis (lost my voice), and i have had several asthma attacks over the last two days

i thought i was on the mend yesterday- felt really good all day, barely coughed, was a little fatigued at most.

today? i have been up since 5am because my lungs are trying to escape my chest via my throat. i cannot stop coughing and have taken every possible medicine- daily inhaler, emergency inhaler, cough/cold meds. i cannot take any more meds without adverse side effects at this point. and idk what to do. i can’t stop coughing. it hurts. i’m so tired. and i’m supposed to be leaving for a vacation today 😭

i should’ve been more vigilant about protecting myself so i didn’t get sick- i cannot catch respiratory illnesses without feeling like i’m dying because i have a chronic lung condition (woohoo asthma- fuck every doctor that told me i would outgrow it. i didn’t! thanks!)

I reread Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I know, I know, it was a bad idea. I can practically hear you guys screaming. The issue is, my brain can’t let go of those characters now, and I feel compelled to write PJO fanfiction, which may slow down my DC stuff a bit. i found it incredibly endearing that chapter 109 insinuated that twilight, at least at some point, was very interested in the existence of aliens.

before you guys start calling this most recent chapter weird or stupid, i’d like to remind you that this is the same show where:

twilight has a whole mission where his job is to hide the fact a politician wore a toupée

in fact, a man literally dies over that toupée

there is a shonen-style tournament arc where they play tennis against people who use gas powered tennis racquets

yor literally fights people called “sickle and chain barnaby” and “steel gut gullickson”

daybreak the spy exists

don’t get me started on the name of the inn patrons in the ski chapter

oh and anya is a telepath and bond can see the future

spy x family has always been weird and silly; it’s a comedy first and foremost. that’s what i love about it!

I know everyone wants to hate on him for being “stupid” and blame him for everything that happened because yes from an outsiders perspective he made questionable choices but isn’t that what HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE DO?

I know so many people who’ve “played nice” or tried to downplay abusive behavior. You try and tell yourself “It wasn’t that bad”, or that it was just some crazy experience that should be forgotten. It seems so much easier to stay silent and just try to move on.

Oscar’s note being illegible was because of the patrons choosing the option to forget knowing him during episode 40, the other options being to forget meeting John and to forget the duck pond memory of Faroe, which Arthur called his happiest. So sadly it was seen as the best option out of the three that could possibly be lost 😔

One day, Eddie’s live streaming in his studio. Steve comes down after a run and drops down on the couch like, “Over-did it today. My legs feel like jello.”

The way the camera is set up, you can only really see Steve’s faded Hawkins High Track and Field t-shirt and his running shorts. And because Eddie hasn’t actually gotten better at not immediately forgetting about his live-streams, you can see him jump up on the couch from his seat on the floor and straddle Steve.

You can see him lean forward and hear him kiss Steve out of frame before he is nudged back, “Ed, I’m sweaty and gross.”

“I like when you’re gross.”

That gets a laugh out of Steve and he says, “Let me take a shower and then, uh, think about joining me upstairs.”

“That’s the first run he’s went on since the death threats,” Eddie points out fifteen minutes after Steve went to take a shower and then abruptly ends his stream like, “Sorry, got to go fuck my husband. Bye.”

the thing I can at least say about my hero is that it really stayed true to its core theme. heroes win and villains lose. regardless of how abused the villains are, how manipulated they’ve been, how strong their need to be seen and heard is, the heroes will always win in MHA. we should’ve never expected anything different tbh there’s no redemption in MHA for the bad guys. which is such a shame bc gentle got to be redeemed only bc he was a “good villain.” but kurogiri’s story was against his will, and so was tenko’s, so to see that potential redemption go to waste like that was a big disappointment
