We're all basically playing with dolls. And if someone's playing with them in a way you don't like? You can this simple and easy thing called blocking them. Or blocking a tag. There is no need to whine and cry about how xyz people are "ruining" a fandom for a ship or how a fandom has a "problem" of having xyz. Like. C'mon now.

I think in recent years there's been a big issue arising in fandoms since corporations started sanitizing the internet for more ad revenue: instead of letting people have harmless fun playing with dolls, people are now instead choosing to try and oust those people from playing entirely due to it not being "morally correct".

And that is, quite frankly, stupid. Imagine going up to a horror novelist and saying they shouldn't write their novels bc it contains morally dark/gray/bad things.

Imagine saying someone shouldn't play a video game and should feel gross playing it bc it has a bunch of dark/taboo topics.

Imagine going up to someone exploring dark/taboo materials in safe, creative ways and saying they should feel disgusted for that.

That sounds dumb, yeah? That sound ludicrous, yeah?

Then why are we attacking other people for morally dark/taboo ships, hcs, and content in their own works? Why are we calling it a "waste of potential"? Why are we calling it gross and bad when it isn't hurting anyone?

Listen to me. We have GOT to relearn to be harmlessly uncomfortable. We have GOT to relearn tolerance for things we do not like. People shipping or having hcs of xyz is not ruining fandoms. The purity culture of not letting people have fun in their own corners is.

Pebbles hating on Sun? I'm here for it. I love your version of Suns so much because it just encapsulates all their flaws that people often ignore. Is this my Pebbles bias speaking? Yes absolutely. Nobody LETS Pebbles be angry towards Suns when he has every right to. They just let the anger be outweighed or completely ignored in the favor of Pebbles own screwups.

I want to see Pebbles come into his own, decide he has worth as a living person, and there is value in living. Then, as someone who values his OWN worth, realize that Suns was toxic. That their friendship and mentorship was toxic. Let him be angry and let him cut that out of his life so he can focus on righting his own wrongs (which Pebbles does canonically anyways).

Realistically, Sun's and Pebble's friendship would never be the same. Even if Pebbles forgave Suns, I can't see their relationship being anything but strained. Moon and Pebble's situation cannot be compared to this since Moon is A. extremely forgiving/patient and B. her collapse was an accident on Pebble's part. She was angry yes but chose to rekindle her relationship with Pebbles in the end.

Five Pebbles is a completely different person from Moon and has a right to handle his mentorship with Suns in HIS way. So yeah, I cannot see off the string Pebbles doing anything but trying to heal from what Suns did to him (while also dealing with his own guilt).

I have been made aware by a friend on insta that the creator of the challenge mikasleaf is Tmnt 2012 leo*ai shipper and they are fully aware that leo and karai are a toxic relationship regardless of the incest or not. Which is disgusting in its own right.

(If you continue to do the challenge that’s fine I understand it’s ment to be a fun challenge for lovers of tmnt, not hating on you for that :)
