i like the idea that lily is one of the smartest people in hogwarts but she's also just like

very clumsy. she drops things, she trips on air, and she's very unlucky too, gum sticks randomly on her hair (mary or marlene always cuts the tips of her hair every month or so because of that), and everytime something like that happens, she makes an odd sound as she snorts and laughs.

because yes, she's clumsy and unlucky, but she's surprisingly positive about it, she finds everything to be very funny, and mary and marlene are so used to it by now that they're always ready to hold her before she falls, take her out of the way of something that's being thrown, or just hold something she dropped before it breaks.

i like lily being a bit of a mess, let her be a bit of a failgirl as a treat, she's adorable, and she's a genius!!!!

(also, mary can't help but look so, so fond and in love with her whenever lily laughs when she trips on the hem of her robes, like she makes the entire day brighter just by smiling)

Now here's something I'm actually happy with!

Initially wrote off those two as not interacting much given Claire's (girl in purple, my friend's @sw00nii character) personality, but we were rambling and she brought up the idea of Claire asking Mary to come along with her to investigate prehevil during the festival since;

1; Claire is a sick and frail person, so going alone is really not the best idea with a bunch of moonscorches and monsters running around. Since Mary is one of the most approachable and agreeable people in the cast, she is a perfect fit to be her "sidekick" of sorts as she goes around the place and takes photos for her upcoming scoop. + Mary is a very sturdy fighter, she can protect the both of them relatively easily depending on the situation. But this is more of a bonus since I don't think Claire expected the malnourished homeless woman to be able to kill off monsters while bleeding profusely like it's nothing.

2; Mary lived in Prehevil her whole life so who's best to tell her the location of places? (Even of there's some areas Mary could neve bring herself to enter again)

So yeah! Weird unexpected duo be upon ye! May talk/draw them more eventually

ok this has been SITTING in my inbox. I was thinking about drawing something but ive caved and im just gonna talk.

YES. That girl can DANCE and she loves it!! I feel in the 19th and 20th century everyone could do a bit of social dancing because thats just what people did for fun. I think the Parkers and the Watsons both taught their kids to dance 'older' stuff they would have done when they were younger, like a solid waltz, quadrille, two-step, polka, what have you. MJ learned them all with fervor. Pete... learned some of them.

I think MJ and Pete would probably do (east coast) swing most often. Because they are hip and of the times. I think Pete probably would have had MJ and Robbie get to know each other through dance, actually. Like Robbie was around the welfare center when MJ was and Pete immediately was like Yes, now MJ can practice with him and not me (ultimate backfire because how he's got 2 partners)! Harlem is definitely the hot spot for swing, with black Americans engineering the whole thing. MJ was totally ecstatic to have a friend over there to run into who was a ready and willing partner!

I do have to say that MJ is a total back lead when it comes to Peter. They will ARGUE on the floor (in good fun). She'll be like 'do that one move I just taught you!' or 'If you fumble this texas tommy i'll kill you' or 'ok on this next backstep we're doing Charleston... aaand triple step, back step.' And Peter will snark back. Whenever she really wants to piss him off she'll make him practice Balboa (he thinks it looks stupid).
