Selina: Selina was apart of Bruce’s many relationships he has had over the years the only difference is that she has been with him the longest. Their relationship has been complicated throughout the years but that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t love him. She cares she really does. But she never got to know any of his adopted children sure dick and Damian but that’s it. So she didn’t know of your existence until well your death. She’s heard of your mother before yes but that’s it. She barely knew you. So why why does she feel this intense motherly protection while staring at your dead body lying on the floor. Why does she grieve like Bruce. Who is just as broken. She never wished for children she was fond of them yes but she hasn’t thought of having her own. But looking at you, looking at your lifeless form. She wishes she did have a child. She wished you were her child so she could’ve prevented this from happening. From you succumbing under the darkness. But Selina doesn’t give up, she’s not the type to. So she will help Bruce find a way to save your from the pips of death. And maybe you’ll see her as someone to look up to. Because she knows she will never be your real mother but she can atleast try to.

Clark: clark Yas a complicated relationship with Bruce as a whole they've never seen much of an eye to eye for their senses of justice but they are still able to work together as a team reluctantly. But behind Bruce's gold demeanor they both care for each other to an extent. Clarks worked with a multitude of Bruce's kids to know basic information about them but to clark your an annomoly to him. He had not once met you or have heard about you before not until well Bruce asks him for his help to bring you back to life. And that's when he's. Left surprised he thought Damian was his only bio child. So Clarks distraught on what Bruce has just informed him. But he doesn't take time to process it an immediately agrees to help his friend. That's when he also gets to learn more about you and your so called situation. To say he's pissed is an understatement. What you went through was absolutely horrible, he could never imagine such a young child going through. But that doesn't mean he won't stop helping Bruce no this fuels him to help Bruce even more. To bring you back, to make sure you get the love you need. And then take you for himself.

Harley Quinn: harley and Bruce gave a complicated relationship going from our enemies to accomplices to semi friends to enemies again, let's just say it's complicated. But she doesn't hold any true murder intentions against Bruce because he has helped her in the past, guided her in some way. So of course she's in debut to repay him. So when the big bay asks her for help on bringing you back she's a bjtshocked overall. She's fought some of Bruce's kids but she's never heard of you before. Not even in the underground. So it's strange to say the least. She never once heard of you. Well maybe she did once hear about Bruce's many flings but that was years ago! But when she gazes at your now dead body she can't help but feel a sense of dread in her gut. This Isanti right and she know it but she does own big B for saving her and now she can't really back down can she? Maybe if they could bring you back maybe she could help you escape.

Danny (laughing): "Enjoying each other's company?" Tell me, how have you and Roy been "enjoying each other's company."

Jason (blushing): None of your concern. Anyways, the two of us would be living with Roy and his two-year-old daughter, Lian. Thing is neither of our apartments are big enough for the four of us, so we are thinking about buying a house in the suburbs. But I wanted to ask you first.

Obanai is very protective of you, and even that's an understatement.

He knows you're strong, especially for a kid, after all, you're his Tsuguko.

Surprisingly, you didn't become his Tsuguko just because you're like a sibling to him, you became his Tsuguko because he could recognize your strength. (And you wouldn't stop pestering him)

You're very close to Kaburamaru, and he likes to be near you, just like with Iguro.

When you're not training with Iguro, you're more than likely taking missions here and there, or you're at home.

He didn't really like the idea of you meeting the other Hashira, besides Mitsuri, mostly because he doesn't exactly care for any of them.

He holds very high expectations for you, but at the same time, his expectations are also very low.

Giyuu Tomioka ;; The Water Hashira

Tomioka wouldn't exactly bother getting to know you, or bother talking to you, unless you initially started a conversation.

At first, it would seem like he was ignoring you, but if you kept pestering, he'd slowly open up, day by day, and start talking to you.

If you didn't happen to start a conversation upon meeting him, he may give you a wave upon seeing you, but besides that, you won't get much else.

He's very awkward around other people, especially children.

Even if you don't exactly talk, or if you aren't exactly friends, he'll get you a snake keychain for your birthday every year.

He may not know much about you, but he knows how much you hang around Obanai, so he assumed you liked snakes.

Mitsuri Kanroji ;; The Love Hashira

Mitsuri absolutely loves you.

She loves taking you out to lunches, when she's able to.

No matter the length of your hair, she absolutely loves to put your hair up, or do your hair.

She has a tendency to buy you things from random markets. If she happens to be there, and see something you may like, she's buying it and giving it to you the next time she sees you, with the widest smile on her face.

Sleepovers with Mitsuri are a must. She manages to convince Obanai to let you stay with her for a night or two while you just have a girls night.

Muichiro Tokito ;; The Mist Hashira

This mostly depends on when you meet Muichiro.

If you meet him before he regains his memory, he constantly forgets who you are, just like with everyone else.

He doesn't much care for you, and if you strike up a conversation with him, he's not very into the conversation.

If you meet him after he regains his memory, that also depends on who you are to Tanjiro.

If you're close to Tanjiro, he'll start up conversation with you occasionally, and you'll basically be acquaintances, or friends, if you happen to be lucky.

If you're not, he talks to you occasionally around the base, but doesn't actively try to start up conversation with you.

Tengen Uzui ;; The Sound Hashira

Tengen believes you're Obanai's little sister, even if you tell him otherwise.

Maybe a year and a half after you meet him, he'll slowly start to accept that you're not.

But even then, he still calls you "Obanai's Flashy Little Sis"

Suma frantically worries about you, due to the fact that you're a child, and taking on important missions.

Makio acts like she couldn't care less, but is still kind of worried for the same reason Suma is. You're just a kid, and a Tsuguko at that.

Hinatsuru, just like the other two, tends to worry, for all the same reasons, but she's very sweet about them.

After Tengen's retirement, if you're about to head out on a mission, they'll stop by and give you a few snacks for the road.

They kind of act like protective family members.

Like your uncle and three aunts, in a sense.

Gyomei Himejima ;; The Stone Hashira

Gyomei treats you like one of the children he used to care for.

He, like Obanai, is rather protective, but he's quite lenient about it.

He even gifts you one of his spare beads, hoping they'll protect you on your journeys, given how young you are.

He's almost like a father figure.

Sanemi Shinazugawa ;; The Wind Hashira

Sanemi doesn't much care for you at first.

That's an understatement, he doesn't say a single word to you and simply walks away.

In an odd way, you remind him of Genya. He's also just.. not good with children so he has no clue what to say, or how to act.

If you, some how, some way, get him to talk to you, he's very stiff and very rude at first.

He wouldn't be able to get rid of the thought of Genya while talking to you, so that's how he reacts, as if he's talking to Genya.

Over time, he loosens up and begins to talk to you more often.

Kyōjurō Rengoku ;; The Flame Hashira

Your first meeting with Kyōjurō is very, very loud.

You might think you're deaf for a few hours afterwards.

He will bring you food entirely unwarranted, you have zero (0) choice in the matter.

He'll also ask if you'd like to eat with him, which you do have a choice in the matter there.

He's a rather silent eater, besides the occasional "Umai!" after every bite.

If you'd like to have a conversation with him, he can talk about anything and everything, and is always willing to.

You tend to remind him of Senjuro from time to time, and when it happens, the widest smile appears on his face.

Shinobu Kochō ;; The Insect Hashira

Shinobu is very sweet towards you, especially when you first meet her.

You remind her of Kanao, in a sense.

If you manage to grow close to her, in some way, she may let her guard down here and there.

She'll never fully let down her guard around you, because she knows you're a kid, and you don't need to know the truths of her life.

She makes it known, very often, that if you ever get injured, she's willing to patch you up, good as new.

No matter how bad the wound is.

AITA for asking my gf's son not to call me dad?

I (22M) have been dating my gf (24F) for 4 years now. She has a 7 year old whose dad isn't in the picture anymore - he hasn't been since the kid was born. My gf says he was abusive and I think there are some charges against him but as far as I know, nothing was proven. He has other kids too who he does have a relationship with but he doesn't have custody rights with my gf's son so they hasn't been allowed to have a relationship.

My gf and I live together and are both in college. I am going to be a surgeon and she wants to study science but she hasn't decided what to do with it yet. Because we're both busy with that, her son doesn't live with us full time. He stays with her parents during the week. This means that we have to dedicate our weekends to looking after the kid. I didn't really mind this at first but her parents are really pushing for her to look after him during the week now too, which we don't have time for. I hear how that doesn't sound great but the plan has always been that her parents will take care of the kid until she finishes with school. She has classes for 4+ hours from Mon-Thurs, plus she needs to spend a few hours studying every day, then she has labs on Friday for most of the day. I have classes all week for fewer hours each day but next semester I'll probably be doing an internship so I'll have more work to do. Then we pick up her kid on Friday evenings and spend the whole weekend with him. There's hardly any time for us to spend time alone together. I like her son and he's usually fun to have around but both of us are obviously stressed from having no down time so most weekends my gf and her son get into an argument or something and things escalate. I try not to get involved when that happens. Sometimes my gf and I are the ones who end up arguing and in that case, I usually go to my parents house.

Basically, I'm not super involved with the kid. Her parents want us to spend all of our free time on parenting despite originally agreeing that it was better if my gf focused on school. He has a dad who could probably be more involved but my gf and her family don't want him around. I've suggested that maybe it would be a better solution for her son to live with his dad full time, that way she can focus on school and then her career and still have time for herself and for us. I love her but she doesn't really have maternal instincts and she doesn't actually want kids, she has said a lot that she regrets not giving him up for adoption.

Recently, we were out for dinner with my gf's sister and kid, and the kid called me his dad. He's done this a lot and usually I just kind of ignore it, but no one else corrected him this time and I felt like the kid deserved the truth. I asked him then and there not to call me dad because he has a real dad who probably wouldn't like it. He didn't seem upset by it but my gf's sister lost it. She thinks I don't want the kid around and that I'm the reason my gf doesn't spend more time with him. She also thinks this was the first time my gf's son heard about his bio dad. Total conjecture, but she won't hear my side of it. The kid knows I havent been around since he was born so he obviously knows someone else must be his dad. I told my gf I don't think it's fair to let the kid call me dad when he has a real dad out there and she sort of agrees. She told her son not to call me dad anymore and they had a long talk about it. She still doesn't want the real dad involved but that's a whole other battle.

Here's why I think I might be the asshole: I said this to the kid in a moment of annoyance, which probably wasn't the way to bring it up. Like I said, he didn't seem upset by it but I wasn't there for the longer conversation so I don't know exactly. I think he's old enough to be allowed to know about his real dad in a more serious way. It's kind of messed up that he could run into his dad in the street (we live in a pretty small town) and wouldn't know it. I'm not his dad and for the foreseeable future, I won't be responsible for him as a parent because he still lives with his grandparents. I think it's reasonable to say that he shouldn't call me dad. So, AITA?

I think this episode did a good job showing how joel sheltered ellie sometimes too much and imo re-contextualizes current ellie’s weaknesses. in the 16th bday flashback he tells her he doesn’t want her going on patrols yet so that she can enjoy being a kid. we see on her 17th birthday that he struggles with the idea if her growing up (and growing away from him) and ellie is becoming fed up with his overprotectiveness. she even tells him: you don’t own this house, you don’t own anything (including her). he didn’t let her go on patrol until she was 19. up until a year ago, she basically was just living a normal life in jackson (or as close to normal as can be). not dealing with infected or outside threats at all. even when shes on patrol with joel and they hear about eugene, joel tells her to go back. I think this perfectly ties into ellie maybe seeming “incompetent” at times in seattle. she seems out of her element because she IS out of her element. joel did not want her to have to deal with these dangers and as a result shes not fully equipped to deal with the level of threats her and dina are facing

I was just thinking about this yesterday, anon!!

In the games, Ellie is already on patrols at 16. Jesse even talks to Joel to tell him how he thinks she's ready to graduate from group to partner patrols. And though Joel thinks she's still a bit young, he recognises that this is what she wants and lets her do it under the condition that she stick to shorter routes.

Ellie has only been doing patrols for 9 months before Joel dies in the show. He waits until she is 19 to let her go on any patrols at all.

It's an interesting change. One that, like you said, makes her seem like she doesn't know what she's doing all the time in Seattle. It also makes the reasons for Jesse's anger much clearer, and really hilights the recklessness of what Ellie is doing-- because she doesn't have years of patrol experience like the others. She's not incapable of fighting or holding her own, but it's not a skill of hers that she's been allowed to refine in real life circumstances.

She can shoot infected from miles away with Tommy and fight Caleb in the barn as much as she likes, but that's not the same as hundrends of soldiers with guns, seraphites with an elaborate and dangerous communication system, and infected that she's never seen before in her entire life.

Joel's over-protectiveness has done a lot of harm to his relationship with Ellie, and also her preparedness for things that will inevitably happen to her.

He says that he won't let her go on patrols because he wants her to enjoy being a kid, but seems to have forgotten that even though they're in a community that mimics the times before, being a kid nowadays is a completely different experience to how it was in 2003.

Kids in Jackson are getting put on patrol as young as 16. They're being taught safety drills for if raiders or infected infiltrate the town. Some of these kids, like Dina, have had guns in their hands and experienced unimaginable loss all before they were 10 years old.

Being a kid doesn't mean what it did before the outbreak, and it certainly doesn't mean that to Ellie Williams of all people.

She had the weight of the world put on her shoulders at 14. She's been alone her entire life. Everyone she has loved has either died or left her.

Being a kid sucked for Ellie. The 'good old days' that Joel talks about were unbelievably traumatic for her. And now she's in Jackson where yes, it's safe for her here and she is living in an abundance of things she's never had before-- but that doesn't mean that the last 15 years of her life never happened.

And as much as Joel wants to play house, wants to have a normal father-daughter relationship with Ellie, he forgets that this is not his kid. They love eachother as if she is, but she's not. I'm sure there's some form of guardianship system in Jackson, but that is nowhere near the same as a legal adoption or something pre-outbreak. The foundation of their relationship is built on trust and trauma, and it cracks every time Joel messes up and lies to her.

To Joel, daughters have an expiry. He never got to see Sarah grow up, and the moment he broke down his walls and let Ellie in, she was going to be murdered. It makes sense that he would be protective, that he would shelter Ellie, want her to be safe. He misses when he was her protector, and the older she gets and surpasses Sarah in age, the more scared he probably is that he'll lose her.

But in his attempts at trying to keep her around, he just ended up doing the opposite.

And now Ellie is stuck with the consequences of that.

SV Game of Thrones AU where Shen Yuan transmigrates into a character who is basically Joffrey Lannister.

Luo Binghe is a mix of all the Stark kids, but mostly Sansa Stark and Jon Snow. Su Xiyan and Tianlang Jun had a Rhaegar-and-Lyanna thing going on, and Binghe's adopted mother was Su Xiyan's older cousin, who took him in after the fact and had him legitimized because she was the only remaining heir and had no other kids.

In the original story, King Shen Qingqiu (Jiu) develops a suspicion about Luo Binghe's heritage and, being just as paranoid about Heavenly Demons as Robert Baratheon was about Targaryens, invites the Luo family to come to court. Ostensibly so that Binghe can be playmates with the king's son and heir (Shen Yuan). Binghe's mom is horribly worried that they've been found out, but has not choice but to accept the invitation.

Of course, OG Prince Shen Yuan was a rotten little sadist who made it his life's mission to torment Luo Binghe, was eventually revealed to be the bastard spawn of Queen Qiu Haitang and her own brother, executed Binghe's mom for alleged treason, is party to the slaughter of the noble Liu family, and is eventually gruesomely assassinated at his own wedding feast.

Shen Yuan himself doesn't want to torment Binghe, or slaughter anyone, start any wars, or of course be gruesomely assassinated at his own wedding feast. He would much rather live his cushy life as a crown prince, figure out how to administrate a kingdom properly and also implement some better waste management practices to reduce the awful city stench (like, Shen Yuan was never terribly interested in plumbing in his first life but he is absolutely invested in the subject now.)

The problem is that the System absolutely demands that there be a war and certain other plot points in order to propel Luo Binghe into some sort of narrative destiny. Shen Yuan's not sure why because the last time he checked, the book series was stalled with Luo Binghe seemingly dead, and the television series had basically rendered everything he'd done pointless by the end, but regardless the System won't just let him peacefully evade all the drama and spare Luo Binghe all the suffering.

Boo.

Plus there's the concerning matter of the Northern Demon King awakening and mustering armies to conquer the south (and getting derailed by the beleaguered quartermaster of the Nightswatch, who keeps wondering when the fuck the actual protagonist is going to show up to handle the increasingly concerning plot points, because Binghe should have been exiled by now...?), Zhuzhi Lang resurrecting his uncle (as a dragon?!) across the Narrow Sea, and the Qiu family plotting the murder of the king and a coup to seize power...

My Checklist for Helluva Boss Season 3!

This list consists of all my theories that I have for season 3. I've been seeing people share their predictions, so I wanted to share mine!

♡ Barbie Wire's reappearance: I have a strong inkling that Blitzø may run to her while he goes to Sloth to pick up Stolas's meds. I don't think Barbie would mention Blitzø almost getting executed but I would love it if it does.

♡ A Pro Choice Storyline: I want Millie to feel that she has the right to choose whether she wants to keep the baby or not and not let the pressure from society keep her from making a choice. I also want this storyline to align with Stella's backstory where it shows what's it like to have a child you don't want with a man you don't like.

♡ Verosika's Healing Journey: All I really want is for Verosika to at least go back to rehab to help her alcoholism. After Apology Tour and Mastermind, she seems to be doing slightly better.

♡ Tilla & Cash Buckzo Flashback: I have a theory that Blitzø and Barbie's parents are similar to Stolas & Stetlla, where Tilla stays for the kids, while Cash was abusive. I also want this to be a way to help Blitzø connect with Via, since they've never really interacted.

♡ Loona & Octavia Interaction: I want it to be opposite of Seeing Stars, where it's not a calm conversion. I just want to see Loona passionately open up to Via about having the first 17 years of her life with no parents in an adoption center while Via had the best childhood that anyone could wish for.

♡ More Fizzarolli: I just like the clown twink.

♡ The Divorce is Finalized: The divorce was initiated in S2E1 and by S2E4 Andrephelus was talking about compensation for Stella. Then S2E8, Stolas says that he won't dwell upon the divorce, and in S2E11 Andrephelus refers to Stolas as "horny ex husband" to Stella but as her "husband" during the trial. I don't think the divorce was ever finalized. With this I want Blitzø to find out what kind of wife Stella was to Stolas.

♡ Striker vs. Blitzø: I don't have a prediction on how this'll happen but I would love to see Blitzø get angry for Mastermind and Western Energy. I also want Striker to say something petty like "Didn't you say it was a transactional fucking?" (S1E5).

♡ Barbie joins IMP: I don't think she'll stay long but it would be cute to see Blitzø help his sister out.

♡ Stolas's Weight Gain: To me, I feel that Stolas struggles with body image and self confidence. Stella literally called him "scrawny" and a "twig" in S2E1, and I feel like his eating habits are not healthy. It's literally cereal and absinthe. I would love to see him try Blitzø's cooking and explore new food items where he gets a bit heavier (and his thighs get thicker).

♡ Moxxie & Stolas Interactions: They are great characters but I want them to have friends outside of their partners. Stolas can sing with Moxxie and they can eventually watch musicals together. I really just want them to have a friendship like Blitzø and Millie does.

♡ Stolitz Cheek & Forehead Kisses: I'm still not over the fact that Stolas was unaware that Blitzø kissed his cheek in Mastermind. Also, they've seen each other's holes already so they deserve to be soft with each other.

♡ Andrealphus Failure: I've had this theory since the end of Mastermind where hell would basically freeze over to an apocalyptic wasteland because Andrealphus doesn't know how to use the Grimoire or do any of Stolas's duties. It can be easily forgotten (because we don't see it really) that Stolas is like a tarot reader/astrologer and he curses the moon during the Harvest Moon Festival so that the farmers can grow crops. Andrealphus is a peacock that has ice powers do geometry.

♡ Octavia's 18th Birthday: After that Sinsmas fight, I don't think Andrealphus will just let Via have Stolas's possessions. He'll most likely do anything to get rid of her and keep the power. I can see him trying to marry her off to someone and Blitzø and Stolas find out. I would love to see Blitzø slip up and call Octavia his daughter when he's trying to save her. I can see this being the finale and Season 4 is the aftermath.

♡ Stolitz Conversation: Eventually, Stolas and Blitzø are going to have to finally talk all that happens between them. I really just want them both to apologize and Blitzø drops that he loves Stolas. I've been waiting for these two talk it out for three years!!

Pregnancy side fic for ask game

This one is a side story for Isolde (There Was Only One Bed - Touch Starved Edition) and I'm so soft about it. It's completely canon for their relationship, I just figure I'll include it as a second work in the same series on AO3, since I know that pregnancy and kids can be a huge turnoff for a number of readers.

In Isolde's story in general, I'm playing around with non-human biology. For kids, my take on the canon is that human-elf babies (Human-blooded, by DA lore) are generally only possible if the elf is a magic user. The genome suppression involved to make them compatible is just too much to ask if we're talking just ambient "elves are always a little bit magic" situation. Isolde is an elven woman with no magic, so, they're basically working with the assumption that they're completely infertile, and they'll adopt children when they're ready. That's also a really sweet moment, by the way, they're both orphans, so it's kind of emotional:

She miscarries at about 6, 7 weeks. Sits on the floor, crying without realizing it. When Emmrich finds her, and asks her if she’s alright, she lifts her face to him and tells him that she won’t be able to give him children. He doesn’t have time to wait around with her, not at his age. He should find someone else.

He looks completely taken aback. Sits at her side.

"Do you even want children?" he asks her.

She thinks of holding his baby in her arms. Of a child, sitting on Emmrich’s lap, kicking their feet and asking him endless questions that he answers so patiently. Of a teenager, almost as tall as he is, grinning with his arm around their shoulder, impish and sweet. A boy in the kitchen, tongue between his teeth, measuring flour. Of whittled child’s toys, and one day, spoons for the household they have made for themself--

The longing is sharp and sudden. She squeezes her eyes shut, turning her face away.

"Oh, Isolde," Emmrich says—so softly that he must have seen. He wipes away the trails of tears. "Come, my love, there’s no need for grief."

"But—" she says, and her throat closes.

He kisses the top of her head. In that same soft voice he says, "When the time comes, we shall make a foundling child—or children— very happy indeed."

Blindsided: it tears her heart open. "I’d like that very much," Isolde manages to say. She begins to sob, and he gathers her into his arms. Presses a cheek against her hair, strokes her, waits for the storm to calm.

...so it takes them completely by surprise to learn that Emmrich's magic is enough to enable a pregnancy. (An elven-blooded child, with the human side suppressed: a phenomenally rare occurrence.)

When Isolde first realizes she's pregnant, about six weeks in, she knows that she can't tell Emmrich. She can't let him get attached to this little life that they won't get to keep.

But nine weeks in-- exhausted and periodically nauseous but trying so hard to hide it-- she goes and takes a midday nap. When Emmrich comes to wake her, nuzzling up to her, she flinches-- her breasts are too tender.

Realization dawns in his eyes, and he tells her she may be pregnant.

She panics-- "No!"

"You weren’t supposed to know yet. I’m only going to lose it," Isolde says, in a small, upset voice. "The thought of you getting so excited, only to…" Emmrich places a warm, tender hand on her belly. "I will love it for however long it is with us, whether a day or a lifetime," Emmrich says.

But she doesn't lose it. Against all odds, their child grows.

At some point-- right around the time that the baby starts moving in ways Emmrich can feel-- Emmrich realizes that it has a spark of magic.

A spark of magic that feels just. like. his.

It also turns out they're the sort of couple that find pregnancy to be a transformative, transcendental kind of experience, something that shifts the way they relate to each other in beautiful, unexpected ways.

They also can't keep their hands off each other lol. It's adorable, but also absolutely insufferable for their friends.

When their daughter is born, a healthy and hearty 5.5lb/2.5kg (elven babies are small) Emmrich weeps for an hour straight.

This baby is their first and only biological child. She's followed a few years after by several adopted foundlings <3

How reverse AU Vesemir became Papa Vesemir

No, really, if you were wondering how did an old mercenary end up with three orphans

Eskel was first. Vesemir had a contract on a small group of slave traders in Kaedwen who were kidnapping peasant children, because nobody would care enough about peasants to do something about it. Well, nobody cared until rumors spread and it made nobility ruling the area look incompetent. So, Vesemir killed traders, and it just so happened that they had a boy with injured face with them, ready to be shipped off to an auction with a promise of good profit because "hillsfolk boys are sturdy enough to entertain some old nobles who ain't attracted to their wives anymore". Vesemir didn't know what to do with a kid and kind of just let Eskel follow him.

Next was Geralt. Basically the same as canon version. Visenna didn't want to raise her own child, so she just dumped him on Vesemir. Hey, old man, I heard you have a kid now? Here, take mine too. One kid, two kids, what's the difference? At that point Vesemir's fatherly instincts are awake, he can't not take Geralt. Vesemir promises to himself that this is it, two kids is more than enough, he won't take any more children under his wing. He keeps his promises for two whole years.

In some village Vesemir comes across little boy playing in the mud alone. Vesemir asked where his parents are, intending to ask adults if they know someone in the area who may have a job for him. The boy told him where to find his parents in exchange for a piece of bread. Vesemir told Geralt and Eskel to stay with the boy while he goes to talk to adults. Well, shit. Old mercenary found a crime scene. Alcoholic husband killed his own wife and proceeded to drink himself to death. And that's how Vesemir broke his promise to himself and adopted Lambert. Vesemir didn't tell him what actually happened, instead lying about invoking law of surprise. Lambert believed it and was angry for "kidnapping" him, but with time he more or less figured out what really happened

And yes, we still don't know whether in this AU Vesemir a human, a witcher in hiding, or something else. All we know is that he was already old when he picked up his boys, and looks completely the same now, almost 17 years later

It's Chef that notices somethings wrong at first

'Noah's' constantly at work, spending time doing things that isn't 'his' job. 'He'll' complain about it but as soon as someone else offers, 'he'll' just glare at them

Then there's the fact that 'he's' constantly out of breath and falling asleep all the time

There's a particularly rough day where the night before Neha's dad went off it at her for daring to backtalk him after everything he's done for her, despite him being kind enough to let her stay under the household despite her shortcomings. Then there's the fact she was stupid enough to be put in a position where she has to work for a minor old celebrity of all people, couldn't she just think for once.

So she's having a really bad day and everything is kind of building up around it, she's definitely not in the right headspace and ends up getting injured helping set up for a challenge

Chef sees this and immediately sends 'him' to the current med tent, intending to hold an intervention before the kid actually kills 'himself' dammit

He lectures 'Noah' for being stupid, because does 'he' really hate 'himself' so much that 'he's' just running 'his' body into the ground? 'He' shouldn't act so recklessly, he thought 'he' was supposed to be the smart one.

Neha doesn't really register everything that's said to her, just bits that she puts together. She just snaps. She's sick and tired of people telling her she should hate herself or the way she looks because why won't anyone just let her live her life and goes off it at Chef.

She ends up spilling everything while she's yelling at him and Chef is actually a reasonable adult. Absolutely terrible at comforting but pretty good at solving problems

So it goes on a while where he just gets her to work under him (turns out she's also great help in the med area), giving her a space so she can stop with the whole Noah thing and actually take care of herself, basically mentally adopting her.

That gives him an idea and he takes advantage of his foster licence (those in the military are encouraged to get one) as well as his... connections to just kidnap Neha from her home. Not that her parents notice at first. When they do their furious but well, Chef can be pretty convincing

And thus the healing arc begins

She gets to grow her hair out, stops taking anything she doesn't want to take (or needs to) and wear whatever she wants- especially since Chef has a bit of a passion for collecting outfits. He definitely gets her own matching versions for his costumes

She also learns a ton of different skills from him, like how to fly a plane, and is basically strongarmed into being healthy. Very much against her will

This takes place during action so Chris and Chef are in their divorce arc meaning that Chris has no idea that Chef has just adopted one of the contestants because he just didn't tell him

He gets a shock when he comes home one day when Chef said he'd go over and cook and he just sees 'Noah' lounging on his couch, using his facemask that he ordered in from Thailand

Then Chef and Neha just gaslight him. What do you mean you don't remember your own daughter? Yes, daughter did you hit your head?

She does get actually adopted

Chris is 100% the stepdad in this situation and he's suffering because of it

Their first family outing is a heist to steal Neha's dog back. It's chaotic and not at all legal but successful in the end

Blaineley gets herself involved much to Chris' horror. But she's an absolutely amazing big sister and definitely too young to be an auntie, Chris

It kind of becomes a running gag where people just appear in Chris' living room

You can bet Neha's smuggling animals in as much as she can- Chris has more than enough room. It becomes a game, how long it takes until she's caught

Yeah, when her cycle kicks in properly she uses it as an excuse to bully Chris in revenge for everything she had to do working for him and the best part? Chef always sides with her

She doesn't compete in the third season but she is there as Chris' 'apprentice'. This does mean she has to join in with the costume shenanigans as well as a couple of changes in some challenges. Instead Justin gets to compete

The three of them basically troll the cast, especially with the voice and costume shenanigans. The audience gets to know straight away because she finishes the sign off for Chris in her Noah voice

Alejandro flirts with Neha to try and get more information on the challenges. Instead, he gets a shovel talk in front of the rest of the cast from Chris to his horror. It's also when everyone else finds out that apparently Chris has a kid. They're all traumatized.

Then we get the role reversal, Neha is the one chasing him except her flirting is a bit unhinged... Her only points of reference are Chris, Chef and Izzy after all. She could just curse out his entire bloodline and thinks that she made a significant move on him

Worst part? It actually works. Turns out the guy who made out with a pineapple is not actually normal. At all.

She's not subtle about the fact that she's 'Noah' either, constantly referencing it. But it doesn't click with the rest of the contestants until she has to sing a song and just duets herself, switching between the two

Also, apparently spending so much time with two maniacs actually rubs off you

I just envision Chef as a girl dad you know, and Chris is there on the side, unwilling at first but secretly cares in his own borderline psycho way

i have literally been waiting for this forever, this was probably my fastest one bc I was already packed with ideas.

• She/Her

• Born on September 24th, 2010

• 4'11"

• Karen is seen as "naïve" by most people because she gives everyone multiple chances, but she does that on purpose. It started as genuine naivete at first but when she got older and realized how awful her parents are, and the world in general, it at first sent her into a bit of a depression (hence why she became close friends with the Goths in the first place). Later on, she decided to cope by forcing herself to see the bright side of everyone. Her only rule is just don’t actively hurt her, and she'll be fine with anyone.

• She doesn’t hate her parents but doesn’t feel safe with them at all, especially not Stuart. I mean, they have a meth lab, like dude-

• She really wanted Kenny to legally adopt her when he finally turned 18 but she decided to stay because she knew how much that would break Carol to have all her kids basically abandon her (even though, it's her and Stuarts fault for mistreating their fucking children).

• When Kenny confessed that he was Mysterion, she was overjoyed. Her hero, her guardian angel, was literally related to her. She was very touched by the lengths he went to make her feel safer especially since he was just kid too. It made her feel a lot closer to him, since with the alter ego gone, Kenny acted more like Mysterion in terms of his protectiveness. She kind of figured it out herself anyways, it was becoming obvious when Kenny's puberty hit and his deep disguise voice was starting to crack so his actual voice came through more.

• She did ask him to teach her parkour and how to fight. He immediately said no because he didn’t want her getting hurt, but Wendy offered to teach her karate instead.

• Makes flowers for Tricia out of pipe cleaners.

• Uses the cans Red gives her to make jewelry. She makes rings and belts out of the pop tabs, cuts out the bottoms to make pins with, and uses some of them to make lamps and pencil holders.

• Feeds stray cats and keeps them near her house. She won't bring them inside because her house is much too shitty and violent to let animals live there so she just lets them stay outside.

• Henrietta helps her cut up her tights and sew patches into her coat.

• Bakes cupcakes and makes bracelets with Kelly, Heidi and Tweek every weekend to bring to the Children's Hospital.

• Being friends with Tricia led Karen to be pushed outside of her comfort zone increasingly and slowly started becoming more and more angry at her parents, specifically her father. She started having outbursts of suppressed anger and joining in Tricia's fits of chaos. Kenny isn't worried because he knows her rage is justified and Ike usually tags along to look out for her so she doesn’t hurt herself but in her teens, Karen acts similar to Tricia when provoked and starts crashing out at small things. And when I say crashing out, I mean she just starts screaming at everyone. She isn't strong enough to do any real damage.

• Literally the only one who genuinely thinks Ike is cool. He makes cringy math jokes and she always laughs at them. She thinks his awkwardness is cute and finds it pretty refreshing that he's a nice, responsible kid in contrast to Tricia and Firkle who are basically just agents of madness. She's also really impressed by the fact he's literally a freaking knight (a Canadian one but a knight nonetheless). Every time they play knights and princesses, he and Tricia are the knights and Karen's the princess.

• Everyone Karen knows has received a handmade bracelet, necklace and/or card. This includes her family, friends and Kenny's friends. Even Shelly and Scott.

• Kept a streak of her hair dyed purple and dyed a few more strands dark pink as she got older.

• Karen never "officially" joined the Goth kids because Kevin didn’t want her smoking cigarettes, and she didn’t like just wearing black all the time. However, when the Goths got older and found out being goth only really consists of listening to the music, (which Karen did at the time and still does) and having goth values they appointed Karen as an honorary Goth kid.

• "Coraline" is Karens absolute favorite movie, because when she was a toddler, it was the only kids movie Kenny could find in the Dollar Tree and ended up being the first movie she watched. After that she was HOOKED. She got super invested in theories about if Coraline escaped, she started copying some of her fashion, and dressing up as her for Halloween (she colored her hair blue with hair chalk she got from Tricia and got a yellow coat from Goodwill.) She became very fascinated with The Other Mother/Beldam and did lots of research on where that concept came from.

• Listens to Flyleaf, Evanescence, Krystal Meyers and The Awakening

• Draws spider webs on everything.

• Watches the Twilight Saga unironically, and the Firkle bullies her relentlessly for it. She even reads all the books and, for some reason, enjoys Stephanie Meyers.

• Dances in the rain with Ike and Tricia (Sheila hates it because Ike always ends up falling in the mud)

• Cuts/dyes her brothers' hair and eventually her parents when Kevin moved out.

• Got a Hello Kitty flip phone from Kenny for her 13th birthday.

• Genuinely believes in magic and has begged Red to teach her witchcraft.

• Tried to do a seance to summon a ghost with Firkle a few times.

• Watched "Labyrinth" once when she was a toddler and thought it was an insane fever dream.

Before yall start in the comments, I am aware Evanescence, Flyleaf and Krystal Meyers aren't goth bands, Karen just primarily likes Christian rock but she listens to goth music too. (The Awakening is a Christian Goth band yall)

First post is here! Please note y/n and Flowey aren't actually involved in the general "Clover gets stuck in the pizzaplex" thing and are entirely optional depending on how you wanna view it. If Clover survives the pizzaplex they get adopted by y/n (blah blah legal adoption shit), if they die they just kinda. Well they're dead.

Please note I do not condone or support Scott Cawthon and his opinions or politics. Anybody who tries to argue with me or say I support him will be blocked.

Scattered thoughts about the AU in the read more below, they won't be organized very well sorry.

*When clover gets stuck in the Pizzaplex the first boss they have to deal with is Martlet. They kite her around before getting her to ram into a fuse box causing her systems to restart and the anti virus to work again.

*Clover is a big fan of the Wild West area of the pizzaplex and thinks North Star is super cool. So they ask Martlet to help them get there because in this childs brain of COURSE the Sheriff would know what to do and how to help!

*North Star genuinely does his best to help Clover but eventually gets attacked by another animatronic that messes up his system. He tries to kill Clover but with Martlet's help they both end up resetting his systems back to default.

*Guardner watches over the Pizzaplex's greenhouse area (Its my au and I want the pizzaplex to be as unhinged as the Mall of America so fuck you if you hate it I think its neat). Gaurdner isn't infected with the virus and just wants Clover dead because they accidentally broke a flower stem and she is SO TIRED of kids NOT RESPECTING THE RULES. They are banned from the Greenhouse forever (but not really let her calm down and she'll reverse it).

*The Feisty Four are now the bandits for the wild west area! Moray was originally from one of Foxy's attractions but was repurposed. Ed is the boss bandit with the other three basically acting as background characters for hijinks. The kids who visit the Wild West area of the pizzaplex are considered the Sheriff's deputies.

*Axis is a staff bot and he is very stubborn when it comes to his job. Yes he will still fall in love with a trash heap tho. Let my guy live a little damn.

*Y/n primarily works on the Wild West area bots and is constantly getting on North Star's case about his wires getting messed up. North Star constantly deals with scolding from y/n and barbs from Flowey.

*Y/n takes Flowey with them almost everywhere in the pizzaplex. He tends to swear at others so they decided it was safer if they could just carry him around and take him away from people.

*North Star was ECSTATIC to learn his favorite mechanic adopted his favorite Deputy. He constantly begs to be able to babysit Clover.

*North Star has a prior companionship to Sun and Moon, as they were all formerly theater bots. North Star however got the better end of the deal as he still gets to act in front of others.

*Martlet constantly sneaks food to Chica when nobody is looking. They're besties.

I know you’ve probably answered this dozens of times (sorry) but how do you come up with ideas? I’ve been trying to get back into writing but I’m stumped

usually i go look at other media and ink about how i would put other characters into their situations. you can find a lot of AUs based on this, but there's also tropes from your favorite media that you might want to try writing.

for an AU: often times i see people draw conclusions about which characters would fit into an AU based on the character type (ex: a sunshine character acting like a sunshine character from another show), but i like to think about the situation the character is in. Say I want a Gravity Falls au for the Batfam. I could just shove the characters into the character types and it would be fun. Dipper and Tim are a lot alike with their smarts, I suppose. Or Ford and Bruce have a lot of similarities between each other.

or i could go a step beyond... Tim and Pacifica have similar backgrounds even if they don't have the same personality. Stan and Bruce are nothing like each other, but I can imagine Bruce waiting however long it takes to try and find someone he loves. I could combine these aspects into a fun au: Bruce Wayne lives in a mysterious manor in the woods. He's kind and the townspeople love him. He was raised by Alfred, a family friend, after his parents were killed in the woods. Bruce knows that his parents were killed because of the strange happenings in the town, and he follows his late father's journals while studying everything Gotham has to offer. Only, two of them are missing. Years later, his first adopted son Dick Grayson lives in the town and helps people who are afflicted by Gotham directly, and Bruce is searching for a young Jason Todd, his adopted son, who got lost in a portal. The local rich kid Timothy Drake found the one of the journals that Bruce hadn't found, and starts looking for monsters in the woods. Eventually, he and Bruce start working together.

Thus, I've expanded upon the AU with one simple shift in thinking!

for the tropes: let's use The Sea Beast as an example (wonder wonderful beautiful movie) (spoilers up ahead)

My favorite part was the growing parental relationship between the grumpy sailor Jacob and the young free spirit Maisie. Scenes where they grow closer and form an understanding of each other are fun, but I really liked the scene where Maisie brings up becoming family, and when she realizes that Jacob is turning her down, she grows upset and wishes for them to forget the entire conversation. That scene HURTS because Maisie lost her parents and thought she would find a family in the other Hunters. But she ended up learning that she could never be a Hunter since she doesn't have the heart for it. This is her last chance to find someone who might understand (at least, she believes it is) and Jacob basically implies it wouldn't work. But eventually Jacob figures out that he does want to be a parent for Maisie, and it's really sweet. I ended up wanting a scene like that in one of my fics, and now I've gotten it written into an outline. It won't be exact, but it helped me pull inspiration.

Basically: consume your media critically, think outside of boxes, and nurture your creativity. The more you understand what you're reading/watching, the easier it is to find ideas for your own story :) don't be afraid to push limits and see where it takes you

Okay so I'd like to talk a bit about my alternate hero names for the bat family in my au and who gets to keep what and why!

ROBIN!

Okay first things first if you have the mantle of Robin you don't actually go out and fight crime. Bruce is a good dad and no parent would actually let their child fight crime. That being said Bruce did train them constantly and did kinda mock patrols and mock encounters. In my little world Bruce would ask the nicer of his rogues like Ivy, Riddler, and eventually Harley (after the Joker Jr. Incident) to help with the fake encounters.

I keep thinking of Ivy hiring goons as Batman asked to help train a young Dick Robin (It took a hell of a lot of convincing on B's part and him agreeing to let Ivy give the kid ice cream after) and being like

Alright when you see the kid dressed in bright stoplight don't freak out, you're allowed to throw a punch but if you hurt him Batman will be the least of your worries

Cut to tiny-feral-ass-fuck-Robin Dick Grayson absolutely wiping the floor with the goons, not a single splatter of red paint on him (the goons were shocked to learn that they didn't have actual guns and bullets, they were paint ball guns... Ivy would never)

So yeah if you see a Robin (which most of the time you won't because everyone in Gotham is kinda convinced that they're all still cryptids or just out right ignores the Bats) you're safe, Batman's not going to let a child out at night to fight crime when it's unsafe.

First the big change!

RED ROBIN

SO in my au the mantle of Red Robin is meant to be what the kids hold while they're transitioning into their own vigilante persona. Originally when Dick was like a late teen and Jason was freshly adopted, Bruce and Dick had a very serious discussion about Robin becoming a mantle to pass on just like Batman was a mantle. Bruce told Dick out right if he didn't feel comfortable passing it on he didn't have to and if Dick didn't want to continue being a vigilante he doesn't have to either.

In my mind it took Dick about a month to make up his mind on wanting to continue being a vigilante and immediately came up with Red Robin as a kinda temporary mantle, so he was still honoring his mother and father but also kinda transitioning away from being Batman's protege and becoming a partner.

Dick was ready to offer Jason the Red Robin mantle but then he was killed by Joker. About a year later Tim comes along and basically forces his way into the Robin mantle and is Robin for a bit of time before he's kidnapped and tortured. While Tim is recovering Steph and Duke becomes Robin, when Tim is ready to go back to being Robin Steph is offered the mantle of Batgirl by Barbara which she accepts and Duke immediately becomes Signal. When Damien comes along Dick offers Tim the mantle of Red Robin until he's ready to become his own hero.

Cardinal, Red X, Stray

Both Tim and Jason get different names in my au. Because of Jason's story and how I have it planned out he never becomes Red Hood, instead while recovering from being resurrected Jason helps Barbara with Oracle shenanigans like Tim did while recovering from Joker. And Tim leaves the mantle of Red Robin behind so Damien can carry on the tradition of holding it while transitioning from protege to partner.

I fell in love with the idea of Tim using the name Cardinal (we keep the bird theme cause it's cute) that way he can still keep his Red and Black.

For Jason the name Red Heron started as kinda a joke or pun, like a red herring (I feel Jason would hear the literatary pun and immediately love it) and also keeping the bird theme... But I'm also tempted to make him Red X... Idk I've always liked Red X's design

The reason behind Red X is because in my au Dick was the leader of the teen titans, like the early 2000's teen titans and if I remember correctly Jason is red X in that though something would have to change a bit for my story anyways because of the age differences.

I think Jason becoming Red X would have something to do with his time working with Babs. Both Tim and Jason worked with Babs as basically extra hands for Oracle, the boys being at the cave and Babs at the clock tower. I think for Jason's origin as Red X I might have Jason and Tim team up to like to follow a lead that Babs was working on before randomly disappearing. Maybe everyone believes she's dead but Tim (much like when Bruce was caught in the time stream which isn't apart of this au) believes she's alive, he goes to Jason who is always down for whatever crazy shit and they team up together.

Then we have Jillian who I wanted to make into Catwoman's protege because I had the idea of Jillian training with Selina once and it was all over. I don't remember where I heard Stray being used as the name for Catwoman's proteges but it's what I'm using for Jillian.
