Toshinori and Inko finding out their pregnant a year into marriage and just sitting staring at the test like...oh. This was not exactly in the plan...nor did they even think it was possible??
They tell Izuku first of course and when they do he actually thinks they're kidding! Haha! That's actually...pretty funny, guys...uhhh...why do you both look so serious.......oh, oh shit. OH. All Might and Mom are having a kid? He's going to be a brother? In his twenties??? HUH?
Cut to nine months later and Izuku's holding his little sister, Toshinori beside him, arm around his shoulder, as Inko watches on with love and pride, because their family feels even more complete than it was before.

leans out a window. it is not salem’s fault that oz uses child soldiers to guard his fortresses. it’s not her fault that he made a deliberate strategic choice to recruit children into a war they didn’t even know they’re fighting. (and it certainly isn’t her fault that he’s been getting kids killed in training for decades before she made her first move!)
he has been trying to destroy her for thousands of years while salem lived in exile, not fighting back, until one of those grown-up child soldiers found out the truth and gave her something to fight for. if your defenders are all children because you set up your fortresses to masquerade as schools, if you for decades continually made the choice to use children as unwitting human shields then you don’t get to blame the enemy when children die on the front lines. YOU PUT THEM THERE.

When the daughters were 2-3 years old Alcina did notice differences in their personalities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Example: Timeout
Bela wouldn't stay, period. As soon as Alcina stepped away to leave her alone, she'd just leave. It took many tries and eventually Alcina would win because there was no way a two-year-old is going to win over her. Actions have consequences, and Mama is here to teach her daughter to follow the rules.
This didn't stop. Every single time she puts Bela in timeout the same thing happens. Because just Alcina is stubborn, so is her daughter.
Cassandra was different. She'd actually stay, not move at all until Mama gets her however, she doesn't do so peacefully. She'd be crying and screaming her head off in rebellion, but she doesn't move. Kinda better than Bela but much much louder and she she doesn't stop until she is released.
Daniela was never put in timeout so that information is not available.

Noticing that TV and film will often have a character either have had an abortion in the past that isn't showcased on screen (and just used as part of the character's ~fucked up and twisted backstory~) OR contemplate getting an abortion in the present day but not to through with it. Just once I want to see someone delete that fetus within the events of the plot and not be like. Extremely majorly punished for it and/or be in the wrong
#ramblings of a lunatic#was watching a tv show w the fam recently and it's the 2nd series of a show that was clearly written with only 1 in mind#so in the 2nd season a character gets pregnant (bc ofc) and contemplates getting an abortion#only to do the whole 'omg she thinks she's lost the baby and realizes she wanted to keep it all along!'#which like. fine and valid and happens to ppl irl I'm sure#but like. this season doesn't establish if she wanted kids prior or if she has a stable job (she was struggling career wise-#-last season and the timeskip this season doesn't go into it)#AND has this fucking bizarre scene w/ her boyfriend (whos mostly been irrelevant and occasionally annoying up til now)#where he says it's 'our pregnancy' that she was going to terminate and when she (rightfully) bites back-#-saying 'you mean MY pregnancy?!' he just. storms off and deflects#which would be one thing but we have to wrap up the main plot so she just apologizes to him (for other plot stuff)#and we're never given any indication that his opinion has changed and they're just happily parenting at the end of the season#which just. left a bad taste in my mouth#like I KNOW i know not every bad thing said on screen needs a big blinking arrow that points out that it's Bad and Wrong#but idk how I'm supposed to feel in a series that has painted itself as explicitly feminist up til this point#presents the outcome of a woman dating and bearing a child for a man w seemingly zero respect for her bodily autonomy as happily ever after#w no follow up#like the whole series is centered on a group of sisters and this pregnancy story happened to the youngest one#who's always seen as needing to 'grow up' in season 1. so assuming this is meant to be building off that arc it's so WEIRD still#bc yes being a parent is an opportunity for many ppl to mature emotionally but that's not really something the character-#-reflects on all season. it's more abt her burying her past relationship w a season 1 guy (who was infinitely more interesting than new guy)#-than anything to do with that#AND EVEN IF IT WAS the notion of pregnancy as a punishment/reckoning meant to make her grow up or take responsibility-#-which is secretly a blessing in disguise i. god the show fell apart so hard here for me#and my mom and sister were just cooing over the baby at the end and i didn't speak up bc i didn't want to be a bitch#and in all fairness I'm probably being a tad uncharitable in this post but like. don't piss me OFF man#anyway. normalise abortion storylines that aren't backstory fodder and aren't fakeouts for baby plots. please

Objectively very funny that Arlecchino is at most like. 32.
Cos Clervie died when she was 16 and we know they were similar ages, so let's stretch and say Arle was 18 when Clervie died and then fought the previous knave when she was 19. In that year, Freminet joined the House of the Hearth and remembers it, so at youngest he was about 4. He still seems pretty young now (Wriothesley calls him a "kid" and he's definitely treated as Lyney and Lynnette's younger sibling) but let's assume Freminet is currently 17.
Some quick maths and Arlecchino is 32 (19+(17-4)). She has children in their twenties. When she first took over she was a teenager herself!! All the harbingers think Childe is a baby but she was so young???
Also imagine the harbinger dynamics when half of them are practically immortal ageless beings of hundreds of years, then some orphaned teenager shows up and jumps up to rank 4 in the space of what's practically a long weekend for these other guys???

how come all the other ships get fae lord/prince x runaway human prince AUs!?
Where is the over 5k fic about Fae Ra's al Ghul and human prince Timmy???
Timmy who's kingdom has fallen apart, who has runaway to find a way to bring back the dead king and restore peace and order to his home. Timmy who determined to complete this quest in spite of all others doubts, who would rather die in unknown lands than give up and be proven wrong. He must do this; for his people, for his brothers, for himself.
Ra's, a powerful Fae lord who finds a young human that has stumbled into his domain. Centuries old, ethereal, mysterious, draped in the finest of fabrics. Ra's offers a deal, a typical Fae kind of bargain. The Fae play tricks, twists words, play games; but this human boy is smart. This human boy he finds himself holding great respect for.
Dealing with Fae, what trade do they agree upon, is it a delicious mistake?

As unreasonably strict as Alicia can be at times, she can be shocking when she sees nothing wrong in allowing a twelve years old to sip on some wine at dinner.
She’s the og wine mom plus she owns her winery and imports the finest wine across the world. So it’s natural that her own children would develop a taste for it and learn to appreciate good wine from early on.

Remember my really weirdly famous post about if Gershwin is Cecil's middle name or a part of a hyphenated last name?
Well I was thinking about it again since the TTRPG called it his middle name in a trivia question
And today I remembered, it's like a common thing for men's middle names to be their dad's first names. Well, at least in my family (Grandpa's name is Dad's middle name, and Dad's name is brother's middle name)
So his dad's first name could be Gershwin, and then he was given that as a middle name. And any time it's hyphenated in the script is an error that I read way too hard into
I mean it's kinda weird that Esteban is calling his grandpa by his first name, but it's not like he's met him, and neither has Cecil. It would make sense for them to be pretty detached
