#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan xichen#jin guangyao#jiang cheng#wei wuxian#qin su#EDIT: Tumblr published an earlier draft with only half the notes I wrote so: late entry on my JGY thoughts.#Unlike the mystic powers of the stockmarket (what the OG meme is referring to) I think this situation calls for more active investigation.#qin su is such a deeply tragic character to me and I really wish we got a bit more from her.#Love everyone who sent me messages about her after the last time she appeared.#I think she needs a spin off of her being a transmigrator SO badly.#MDZS has so many interesting characters - but it sometimes fails to give them the proper room to really develop past a role in the plot.#That's just the consequence of writing a story like MDZS. Not every character in a book *needs* to have a rich inner life and backstory!#To do so would bog down the story and obliterate any notion of pacing. It's just not possible.#Jin Guangyao (nee Meng Yao) is unfortunately not free from this leeway rule. He is the culprit of this murder mystery plot#and thus NEEDS to encapsulate the themes of the book. And personally he's a 7 out of 10 at best on this front (in the AD).#MDZS is about rumours twisting reality and working towards truth. And about how people & situations are rarely ever black & white#JGY has his motivations. He's well written in regards to his actions making sense for his character.#What started as good traits (drive to succeed & improve his image) became twisted over time (do anything to maintain his image)#and it's a good parallel to WWX! He has the same arc (with different traits)! Bonus points for IGY in that regard.#but man....by the time we confront this guy for murder there's not a lot of grey morality. He's just...deep in the hole *he* dug.#There's a beautiful tragedy to it! More on JGY in later comics - this is getting pretty long already!

It's one of my favorite games of all time.#.....the final battle took me out of it a little bit ngjfkdlnshjk#It introduced a bunch of new mechanics and maybe I'm dumb but it felt like it wasn't super clear how everything worked#First I restarted it because I dropped a globe of invuln on the starting area thinking Orpheus could just activate the stones from that far#Then I restarted it bc I basically ran out of time on the rounds...except I didn't realize the fight would continue since every other-#-turn-based round counter was usually a game over#THEN I actually summoned the flaming fist to help clean up right at the end which made the camera SUPER confused when I went in the portal#It was a mess.#I still give the game an 11/10 tho lmao#Oh also Orpheus did something - I don't know what - and then the dragon just died with 120hp left. #witch hat tag#orufrey#er.... i'm too tired to have anything to say..i worked several days on this.#wait.. didn't i say just recently here that i probably wouldn't ever depict 'what if alaira is qifrey's sort-of ex'. What's going on#i don't even remember deciding to draw this..it's all a blur..i'm not sure why i WOULD decide to draw delicate scenes in my head#that i wouldn't really want to share with anyone/discuss so why did i draw it...#some part of me really really wants to draw things that are more and more true to myself...#maybe because of my alienation with most romance/shipping/dynamics the rest of the world depicts.#orufrey really is perfectly suited to me - what i read in the text and what is in my head. well anyway#i am TIRED of drawing poses and angles and..maybe now i will actually take a break from drawing bc of the tediousness of Angles#btw it really is a 'stretch of time' . . . assuming witches graduate age 18-20#well orufrey are canonically 30-ish. they've only had agott around for presumably about TWO years (?) bc she took the test age 10#and it feels like oru moving in/unknown atelier acquisition/building (?) .. i guess that could be a year or so before agott at most#(she was the first disciple) so... ????????? What about the other 7 or so years ?!?!?!!?!?! Unemployed Brimhat Hatred era#that time is very nebulous. after qifrey went to the tower i feel like it's been implied he and oru drifted apart a little.#certainly they didn't live together at first... no way. that doesn't feel like how it is based on things oru has said about becoming Eye#idk. I'm tired now. i don't usually think of alaira as necessarily qifrey's ex and this being how things went in that 'sliver of time'.#i usually prefer the idea that they have their first kiss with each other in their 30s cause That's Just The Orufrey Lifestyle#just felt like making a more relatable alternative view of my own Cai Orufrey Canon one time. btw im a big monoshipper and it hurt a bit#let's leave it there. this is surely the most i've worked on a 'single' art - though now i realise just how much longer the fic took :')

Batfam timeline
I made a timeline for the Batfamily and it worked out surprisingly well:
In short/ words:
Bruce was 8 when his parents died, 20 when he took in a 9 year old Dick. Barbara became Batgirl a year later with 13. Dick moves out with 18 and Bruce gets empty nest syndrome and adopts an 11 year old Jason.
Jason dies with 16 and Tim forces his way into becoming Robin with 12. Stephanie becomes Spoiler a year later with 14 (so she's a year older than Tim) while Bane breaks Bruce's (35y/o) back. Cass becomes Batgirl a year later with 15, she's a year older than Tim and 3 younger than Jason.
A year later Jason returns to Gotham with 19 and tries to kill a 15 y/o Tim. Two years later Damian enters the family with 10 and tries to kill a 17 y/o Tim.
The next year Bruce 'dies' with 40. Dick is 29 when Bruce is 'dead' and he takes care of an 11 year old Damian (Bruce was 29 when he took care of an 11 year old Jason).
Duke joins the family when Bruce returns the next year, he's 16.
So at the present (let's ignore Alfred's death) Alfred is 71, Bruce 41, Barbara 33, Dick 30, Jason 23, Cass and Steph 20, Tim 19, Duke 16 and Damian 12.
#i thought bruce would be older#but the only way to make him older without increasing his kids age#would be if he lost his parents at 10 and adopted Dick with 25#then he'd be 7 years older#48 years is still younger than I thought#i know some ppl want Cass to be older than Jason#then she would have to be around 18 when she comes to Gotham though which i thought was a bit old#though i can see her being 16#batman#batfam#bruce wayne#alfred pennyworth#dick grayson#batfamily#jason todd#barbra gordon#tim drake#stephanie brown#cassandra cain#damian wayne#duke thomas#jim gordon#timeline

FINALLY!! At long last, I've gotten my hands on a Pumpkin Kitty, after a whole year of wanting and waiting.
Her name is Latte! (Short for Miss Pumpkin Spice Latte) You can also call her Miss Spice!
#I spent 10 minutes picking her out omfg#not even exaggerating. I was deciding between this one and one of the last 3 unstuffed PKs#altogether there was only 5 of them left in the store including the 2 stuffed displays#the other one I was looking at had a nearly perfect pumpkin eye patch but less pumpkins overall#and their face wasn't as nice plus the ears were a bit wonky for my taste.#tho it was really hard to tell which would be better while they were unstuffed and flat#in the end I chose Latte because right away she looked to have a sweet face. her ears were nice and she had better patch placement#including a couple full patches on her tail#tbh if I'd had the money I might have bought both because the decision was hard#the bear builder actually asked if I was alright while I concentrated on studying each of those damn cats#I apologized and explained wtf was up with me. she was very understanding#I've always had this quirk where sometimes it'll take forever for me to pick between plushies I really want#especially if they're both the same exact plush. because then I gitta focus harder on finding out which has the better personality#you get what I mean?#anyways this has been a thing for me even as a real little kid#I remember spending and hour-hour and a half almost every time when my dad took me to choose my monthly webkinz#“my monthly webkinz” god that makes me sound so privileged. it was the nicest/best thing my dad could afford to get me because we were poor#he wanted to spoil me as all good fathers do but that was the most he could afford and I was always so grateful and still am! but I digress#anyways I took way too long to pick which kitty would become my Latte#but I'm glad I had the opportunity to choose yet alone to actually see pumpkin kitty irl available for purchase#what do you guys think of her?#stuffed animals#plushies#plushblr#build a bear#BAB#pumpkin kitty

Someone who studied wild cats for a full year here, can confirm jaguars (and most things in the felidae family, so most cats) do have penile spikes, no knots, usually have rather small and that they can breed their mates up to 100 times per day, though each session lasts from about 3-10 minutes

Rey, who is in my very biased opinion, one of the funniest "girls" I have because she's just a guy, truly. Like Rey is just short for Reynold because he was recruited by a a goddess to help the hero she selected and the hero is conveniently Reynold's younger brother. So he agrees to help under the condition that the goddess gives him a female body for the other world. She's like "really odd flex but whatever" and gives him a female form and he's like "you know. I can't really blame anyone but myself for not specifying 'please don't turn me into a Lisa Frank personification'."

#attack on titan#kenny ackerman#a lot of his more comedic relief-ish charm gets lost in translation#hes funny as hell guys. i mean it. also#it is a lot more obvious in the manga that Kenny genuinely pities Historia’s circumstances to the point he lowkey feels a bit bad for her#her and Levi are very similar in conception#but her birth is a morally reprehensible action and Kenny genuinely believes killing her when she was 10 wouldve been far more merciful#so its like#his umpteenth reason to despise rod#this entire scene has a vastly different tone in the manga bc Kenny doesn't even start off aggressively#he only snaps when Historia insists for the third time#before that he's moreso patronizing and talks to her like shes still that bug-eyed 10 yo who saw her mother's throat sliced in front of her#like yk how in the anime he pushes her hard enough for her to fall on the floor when she grabs his gun#in the manga he literally just...#lifts it up in the air away from her grasp.
