horrified to realize my blog doesn’t even pass a bechdel test. this will change NOW.

debbie grayson is one of the coolest characters in the invincible tv show, and is a serious upgrade from her character in the comics. she had nolan, this incredibly powerful, planet-destroying alien, going grocery shopping for her across the atlantic ocean. dude was whipped. she wrangled 2 of the top 5 contenders in the power-scaling verse (this grayson father-son duo), and never once failed at it. nolan was missing her from a viltrumite prison before he died. mark’s entire shell-shock at nolan’s “hey bud, you should help me rule the world or something” shot into anger the MOMENT he said he saw debbie as a pet. this woman just yells cecil’s head off and denies his orders, mandates, offers for help — sees right through him, too, and can tell he’s playing her for leverage whenever he can. clocked angstrom so hard that he broke her damn hand. such an incredible lady that even confessing everything about her life to paul didn’t keep bro from wanting her. haven’t even broached the subject of oliver.

beyond her interactions with the men of the invincible show… she is an incredible character on her own. uniquely fearless and compassionate. encourages everyone around her to be a good person, donates all of nolan’s book money to survivors of his atrocity, bears her burdens with a strength that is beyond just motherhood. consumes enough wine to kill an army of viltrumites. clearly intelligent enough to calculate nolan’s top speed and figure out exactly where to send him so she had enough time to search the house for evidence of his murderous acts. figured this guy out pretty much on her own, had the gall to lie to his face and act like everything was fine and pretty much get away with it. takes nolan’s child from his (basically) affair and raises him as her own with no resentment in sight; got mark AND nolan to look past their power-strength-fight-fight-might-makes-right mentality and listen to her, more than once!

tells mark to follow his heart even when nolan disagrees (regarding titan’s request for help in s1); she is quite literally the reason that our mark is a good person, when so many other variants fail to be. mark is debbie’s son before he’s nolan’s. nolan is debbie’s spouse before he’s a viltrumite, try as he might to convince himself otherwise.

she is the axis on which the morality of those around her is precariously balanced. she provides incredible emotional depth to the show and while she has every reason to lose it, she holds together.

and that’s why she’s the goat.

The reason why I give Caitvi more crap for when Caitlyn hit Vi with the rifle then when Ekko beat up Jinx on the bridge and how they tried to kill each other is because of the couple’s circumstances.

Ekko and Jinx were on opposite sides of a conflict. Jinx worked for Silco and Ekko was trying to takedown shimmer. They were enemies. Jinx was already known at that time to kill firelights, why would they not like each other? And with the situation at the bridge, Jinx killed a lot of enforcers. They were already in a situation of violence so when those two devolved into violence, it makes sense. They weren’t in a romantic relationship, they weren’t on good terms with each other the last time they interacted(the shimmer blimp), and it was of a violent circumstance that lead to them fighting. This wasn’t a portrayal of them if they were romantically involved with each other. We even actually do see this in season two ep 7

Then there is Caitvi. Before season 2 one could argue their relationship is still platonical cause they don’t actually do anything physical. While, yeah, that excuse is bull but they were in a sorta-situation-ship at the end of season 1. Nothing to get them in trouble with China. It wasn’t until season 2 ep 3 that we see their first physically romantic action. They kiss which basically establish that they like each other a lot. They were on good terms with each other and were allies. They were working together to take down Jinx. The circumstance that led to Caitlyn hitting Vi is first, Vi stops Caitlyn from shooting at Jinx when there was a moving child on top of her because shooting a weapon when there is a child nearby especially if said shooter is not in the best mindset is not a good idea. They(Sevika, Caitlyn, and Isha) escape. Caitlyn insults Vi by saying she’s just like the rest of Zaun and isn’t different(which is also very ignorant by implying that the norm is bad and evil zaunties and Vi is some exception to this norm) also saying it’s her(Jinx) blood in your veins. She walks away and Vi grabs Caitlyn and asks why are you the one acting like her. Eight seconds pass before Caitlyn hits Vi in the stomach with her gun before leaving her alone.

Caitlyn and Vi were on good terms with each before this incident. Hell, before they even attack Jinx they fucking kiss. The violence had already wound down, Sevika, Jinx, and Isha had already left, there was no need for violence. It wasn’t a life or death situation. Caitlyn had no need to hit Vi in the gut. Vi wasn’t going to attack her. And if you say, oh you don’t know that, then you do not understand Vi as a character. This wasn’t them fighting, this was assault(since Vi didn’t hit her back). To add the sicken cherry on top of all of this, the show never once acknowledges this. They brush it under the rug and ignore it. Caitlyn never apologizes for hitting Vi or leaving her. They just move straight to sex.

You see why this leaves a bad impression?

@plotdesigner Your lore and world building for the uruk is absolutely stunning and wonderful an I love every little detail I learn about them in your fic(s); I love the way you alternate POVs between characters and manage to give them distinct, individual voices and rich inner lives, even going the extra mile to write Adar in the 2nd person POV; you have a lovely way of weaving in little bits of humor that feels very adequate for the circumstances and also humanizes the characters a lot!

@themalhambird Your Adar/Finrod fic had some very well-developed OCs that were very distinct and interesting to read about, each had their own individual voice; the pairing wasn't something I thought I would be interested in but I finished the little fic before I knew what had happened; the way you wrote the interaction between the main pair was sweet and heart-wrenching to the point it made me emotional (I mean that as a compliment!)

@thephoenixandthecrocodile I love the dynamic between Adar, Celebrimbor and Narvi, they all have their strengths and weaknesses and complement each other very well, I love how you give each character weaknesses and humanizing elements that make them so very relatable; I think it is so cool that your first fanfic is a multi-chapter one and already goes on for so long - that is quite the feat! (and that your 2nd is also multi chapter and finished! Congrats!); I'd love to see more of the way your throuple develops Mordor together, the concept of a dwarven/elvish/uruk construction sounds so cool! and also what their relationship will be like in the future!

@gingeragenda The one fic of yours I read (Adar/Balrog) took a concept that should have been difficult to pull off and made it seem effortless; the interaction (cough) between the two was very sexy; despite the fact that the Balrog got sent out for rather sinister purposes, there was a tenderness that I did not expect between the two characters that I quite enjoyed while reading!

@wowstrawberrycow I love how you want to give Adar good, soft and cute things always, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside; I loved the dynamic between him and Gil-Galad in your AU fic, how Gil is taking care of him as best as he can and is a rock for Adar; love the worldbuilding so far, despite the dire circumstances, there is hope shining through and the two are fighting so hard to carve out their happiness. It's really fascinating!

I think I as a writer I am somewhere between "good most of the time" and "every so often I have a good line" tbh; my lovely readers, mutuals and friends on here make me feel like I am a very good writer (TYSM!) while I myself would tend to believe I am...okay? Maybe? If I have a good day. ^_^'

Do you have any thoughts on Lizzies’ secret life character?

Sad. Tragic in more ways than one. Imagine a deep frown on my face

Although I lovee Lizzie's character to death, I don't think I'm so good at verbalizing my thoughts in depth about her, but I am trying to write a general opinion piece on her. As far as Secret Life goes, I really like how antsy she is to do things that are likely to harm her even when not required to. Eg her immediately going for Cherry trees in spite of them being in a dangerous spot, her trying to save the camel from Mumbo, her readily jumping into the End Portal... Although in that last instance she did seem to just not think about it and be under the impression that she could instantly snipe the dragon kill lol. It's a bit sad even before the party that she's alone since she bounces off everyone so well, but I'll always believe in her. She at one point says "I might be better alone" which is referring to Mumbo regarding a task, but even so it felt like appropriate though sad foreshadowing

I don't headcanon seablings outside of ESMP1 simply because I don't see a portrayal of such a dynamic outside of it, but Jimmy and Lizzie do have multiple cute interactions in SL, like them shaking their asses at each other to communicate lol, it's a shame that the one notable interaction they have is Jimmy accidentally killing her :(. I didn't remember them having so many interactions even if they were brief, I need to rewatch more of Lizzie's Life POVs because the ass shaking is something siblings would do, I have to admit

I also need to point out that I love Lizzie's and Pearl's dynamic as few interactions as they have. The way she's drawn to the same qualities in Pearl that she's drawn to in Joel and with no hesitation rewards her as promised when Pearl gets her a bone, even whilst Joel is trying to appeal to her. And Pearl remembering her slumber party the next session without being reminded was probably the nicest anyone was to her about having missed it

But of course, the sad lonely slumber party... It does not get any easier to watch (or that episode in general. Her idea of getting everyone into the end to pass the night was a genius idea but alas) but god bless Joel. God bless. The one real one. The one constant. And him remaining vengeful on Lizzie's behalf means so much to me. Of course Lizzie's failure of a party and failure to seek much revenge for it resulting in her early death is the tragedy of it all. No less tragic than anyone else dying first but sad nonetheless. And it continues the trend of Lizzie permadying due to a third party which is arguably the most tragic part of her character that I think would make for banger analysis

It's even more tragic to me though that her character gets made out to be all about the SL death while I see little discussion about her actual character outside of that. And also people placing importance on her death because of Jimmy. I absolutely understand it was always going to be at least a little about Jimmy regardless of who would have died first, but the amount of talk I see that makes her character all about her failure and death, and then that death all about Jimmy, makes me sad because I think there's a lot to say about her. So I tend to be adverse to any kind of canary labelling and "She took the bullet for Jimmy/her brother" kind of sentiments, although I do think that the SL finale is still significant and I understand why it had the impact it did on the fandom. Just not personally a fan of a lot of the responses to it

Talked with my therapist again and she approved of sebaciel, and generally the proship idea

She said that "all art is a projection of the artist", this doesn't mean that you are immediately a creep deep down. It means that there is a reason we're attracted to the concept of sebaciel. This varies from person to person, but to me it's the safety and comfort the contract and Sebastian's inhumanity provides. To me, him being inhuman is a positive because in my mind, Sebastian becomes a concept and not an adult man. Therefore: safe.

She said that I recognized myself in Ciel, and that his relationship with Sebastian is an issue of protection and consent. Through the contract, Ciel is provided this, without question or room for argument. It's comforting because it was something I was deprived of as a child.

She said "the devil can only affect you if you let it. (From what you're saying), Ciel doesn't let the devil do anything he doesn't want, he has control of the situation, and this is important to you"

We talked about the antis also.

She said "they disagree with this type of writing because it's an aberration of the norm. But this content is made for and by a select few, usually by people who didn't go through what was normal, people under special circumstances (trauma, assualt, etc).

(Although this is not a requirement to make it and no one is entitled to your trauma.) Not everyone would understand why the artist/author made that, and not everyone will consume it the same way."

We talked about how darkfic and topics helped me cope through difficult times in my life. She said that it was good that I was able to discern and was able to (what she called) "take what you can get and put it to good use". Which meant I used the darkfic I read to protect myself. Although that is not always the case for others.

Even though this is good for ME, it's not good for EVERYONE. Because though it had an overall positive impact on me, some people will be affected by the same thing I'm making/writing/reading negatively. This is why it's important to be careful online. About who to interact with so conflict is avoided. Censorship of the entire thing is something she disagrees with. One of the relevant reasons would be because most of the people interacting with this content were survivors themselves, and like me, someone who didn't have resources, could use to cope with their situation.

Additionally, she said "When you're undergoing incredible stress and trauma, your mind tends to numb you. Interacting with these, reading about similar things you went through activates your empathy. You're able to relate to the character and in turn empathize with yourself. It has the effect of bringing you back to reality, away from the numbness. Through these dark topics, you were able to cope, to process your grief and anger and ultimately, that is good for you"

Anyway, Sebaciel to me is a CSA power fantasy where Ciel has autonomy and Sebastian is happily under his collar. Consent reigns king and I hold the reins. Compared to other dark ships I've read about, this might be the most comforting and healing one so far.

This insomnia is killing me.

This is totally my opinion. I strongly believe that Nic believed Luke and the dancer had broken up in NY. They did hook up on the WT, I believe she was under the impression that A was confused and that Luke had given her the wrong idea that they were more serious than what they were. Leading to all the mixed messages answers.

A resurfaced at the London premiere, and I still believe it was orchestrated by his sister Lauren.

Now, before the cray cray, Luke haters misunderstand me. Luke has some issues. He is truly a nice guy. And with nice guys, they tend to get into situations because they are trying not to hurt people.

He and Nic put some distance between them after the WT. It is easy for them to compartmentalise. Their feelings are just their characters spilling over.

The throwaway comment that Nic made about her being a 7 haunts me. It presents as low self-esteem. She knows she is a good actress, and she is happy to receive compliments when it has to do with her work, but she hates it when people comment on her appearance, good or bad. I might be projecting here, but it makes sense to me. Every time she gets recognised for anything, she pivots to someone or something else.

She loves Luke and cherishes his friendship. I think she sees it to be all that it could ever be. I have been in a similar situation. Again, I might be projecting.

He and A rekindled their relationship over the summer but parted ways again just before S4 filming kicked off. By this time, Nics walls were up.

After the new year, A again reapeared, this time at the family funeral. Again, I think Lauren was the person who invited her. Luke and Nic have been on a filming break. Similarly to the one they had in Nov/Dec last year. My guess is about a month. During this time, he and A started hanging out again.

This brings us to the SAG awards. I have a feeling A was going to be at least at the afterparty, but something last minute changed.

From the SAG awards red carpet, it did seem like it was coming more from Luke's side. Nic was more reserved. But their feelings for each other are real, and they can't hide it. Nic's walls are still up to protect herself. Yes, in my opinion, it was an overcompensation to follow A. Saying in a way that she won't let anything happen between her and Luke because, look, she is now friends with A. Also, I believe subconsciously she is forcing Luke's hand, claim A, make it official.

Now, I don't believe he will claim A. Actually, the opposite will happen. He believes himself to not be a pushover, unlike his character Colin. Because he is a truly nice guy, he acts out in a way that only hurts himself. Like how he took A to the Boss One event and the BAFTA afterparty. Someone most definitely in his team advised him against it.

Luke and Nic will be back on set tomorrow, and I believe they will confront what has happened.

Side note: Luke respecting S3/Polin/Nicola by not bringing A into the light has done what I thought it would. He has gained a lot of positive attention. He was essentially just part of the ensamble nominations, but he was as highlighted as Nic by all the major accounts. Yes, their interaction helped. But essentially, they only hugged each other. In of it self is super harmless and on the surface meaningless. It was the authenticity of the moment that made it blow up.

I listened to the Nikki Glaser episode of Armchair expert with Dax and Monica on my walk yesterday. She famously made a comment about Taylor Swifts weight, which was included in Taylor's documentary. She reflected on how it was 100% on herself. She was projecting as she was struggling with verious forms of eating disorders. She was jealous of Taylor, one for wanting to look like her and two for wanting to be her friend. She apologised to Taylor, owning what she had said. Taylor graciously accepted the apology.

I so resonated with what Nikki was saying. I gained quite a bit of weight in my 20s&30s because of some health issues. Not having the funds to see specialists. I have always been told I was pretty. Sinse from a very young age, but when my late father made a comment a few years ago that it is a shame that I gained so much weight, I am no longer pretty, shook me to my core. I never thought I was pretty. But I suddenly realised I was being treated differently.

Covid happened, I got retrenched and received a really nice settlement. Could finally afford that specialist, psychologist, and dietician. 12 months later, and I am back to what I weighed at university. It has been hard work. Commitment and determination. No excuses and being extremely hard on myself.

Something inside me has shifted. I used to be body positive. All bodies are beautiful and have value. But lately, I find myself thinking very harsh thoughts. When I see someone who is overweight, I judge them. If I can do it, so can they. Why are you not taking care of yourself. Your health is the most important. If you could just stop eating takeouts or sugar. This is me 1000% projecting. It is my own issue. I miss eating nice food. I miss having to just sit and watch movies. Not exercise. Sometimes walking 5km is absolute torture. Everything hurts. My energy is at 0. Every step is extreme effort. But I am being so extremely hard on myself that I just hate on everyone who gets to not do it. I can admit that. I don't go and speead that toxicity on other peoples posts.

These people hating on NIc or Luke, you are telling on yourself. It is not on them. We don't know them. We make assumptions and guesses, but at the end of the day, we only see glimses of them.

Before making that nasty comment, reflect. Are you projecting, assigning labels, and judging what is on the surface?

Hi saw your reply to @alexunbroken about Zoé and I wanted to get your opinion on whether my take changes her personality or not.

Never was a fan of Zoé suddenly landing a lead role in a movie (even if it's a student film), so... why not theatre?

Thought it would be a good idea, since Zoé's supposed talent is acting. Theatre can also help her interact with new people, and maybe even get a mentor that can help her gain more confidence and essentially be the one to guide her out of the mental hole she's in.

I feel like putting Zoé into theatre would be beneficial since it's not a sudden "she got her wish" moment, and the show gets an arc of showing how it helps her character grow into someone more confident and comfortable with herself instead of just going "BAM she's good now!"

Also, since Zoé never had anyone to be compared to in acting, being in theatre could shock her (in a good way) into realizing she's not as all she's cracked up to be like everyone keeps telling her (I like personal growth).

Theater kid Zoé is a perfect fit, I'm just not sure what it would add to the story. That's my whole issue with Zoé. It's not that she has no potential at all, it's that I don't see what she adds that wasn't already there. For example, this idea:

Totally works in a vacuum, but feels weird in the context of canon where Zoé is just a side characters in a cast with over a dozen reoccurring side characters, all of whom predate her by at least two seasons. Why should Zoé get a big, multi-episode arc when there are so many established characters who have been waiting their turn for the spotlight for ages? That's the heart of the problem. Any time the show focuses on Zoé and tries to make her a major character I get annoyed because I don't care about her! I care about the cast we've known since season one!

It would be one thing if Zoé was unique, but she's not. Anything you want to do with her can be done with someone else. Need a lesson in standing up for yourself or just generally becoming more confident? Give it to Juleka, Mylène, or Adrien! Need a redemption? Sabrina, Chloé, Félix, and Kim are right there. Queer rep? Juleka, Rose, Nathaniel, and Marc are all available and have an established person they can be paired with! Want to do something with liars? Lila's got you covered on the villain side and Marinette is there on the hero side now.

Even if they hadn't made Marinette a liar, anyone who is a hero can be used to tell a lesson about lying because superheroes have to lie about stuff, making them a great choice for healthy vs unhealthy lying and all its complexities. Anything Zoé can do someone else can do just as well. I'm still salty that she got the black cat instead of Nino, Kagami, or Luka. You know, Adrien's actual friends??? Characters Plagg has had a chance to get to know and evaluate??? Even a random teen from Adrien's class makes more sense than Zoé.

If you love Zoé, that's fine, she's not a bad character in theory. If she was one of the original girl squad she'd be fine! Her problem is that she's a shinny new character who is just another generic nice person in a cast that is positively bloated with generic nice people, so why do the writers keep acting like she's something special? She's not. There is no reason why she should get more attention than most of the background cast.

If you want to swap her with Mylène you totally can because they're super similar. Heck, you could even swap her with Adrien depending on the plot. I just personally don't see the appeal in that because I'd rather fix the original cast than try to make this incredibly generic outsider fit. This is extra true if you're not doing anything with Chloé because why give her a sister and then have that mean nothing? Zoé might as well be some random kid Andre adopted for public appeal or even just a generic new kid with no ties to Chloé's family since Zoé's plots generally have nothing to do with the family the writers actively decided to tie her to.

I was thinking about J'onn's portrayal in Justice League cartoon iterations, both how good they were and how they left much to be desired. I feel like the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited iteration of J'onn J'onzz was the most in-depth - which speaks to how much DC does not value the character at all.

One thing that I like about J'onn's overall character is that he has the powers and empathy of Superman while also maintaining the intelligence and pragmatism that Batman has. There's one particular conversation (or argument depending on how you interpret the dialogue) between Superman and J'onn that is very tense in Justice League Unlimited: Season 2 x Episode 10, which is called Flashpoint.

The TL;DR is that CADMUS is increasingly concerned about the Justice League's growth in the last few years - especially because they've extended their roster from just seven extremely powerful and skilled individuals to a whole ass army of superpowered vigilantes. So, they start fucking with Supergirl and our friendly neighborhood Kryptonian is understandably not happy. The confrontation between Superman and J'onn, which quickly becomes Superman vs. J'onn, Green Arrow and Flash, taught me more about ALL of these characters - especially J'onn, than damn near all pieces of animated and live-action media.

There are three particular lines from J'onn that helped me understand who he is.

Superman: "Give me one reason not to go down there and take them [CADMUS] out."

J'onn: "If you didn't know the answer, you wouldn't have bothered to ask."

And...

Superman: "We can't let CADMUS get away with this."

J'onn: "No one's saying we should, but we have to keep a cool head."

And...

Green Arrow: (to Supergirl) "Look kid, Hamilton's [fake ass hoe who works for CADMUS] a piece of garbage and Luthor's worse. But this isn't the way to stop them."

J'onn: "We must also consider the possibility that CADMUS is right to be afraid of us."

I love these exchanges because they show me how J'onn is so powerful but he also acknowledges how he has to be so restrained all. the. time. And there's so much context as to how J'onn has to interpret his relationship with humans because not only does he look vastly different from Superman, but his experiences are vastly different because of how humans have treated him.

Bear in mind that this man was literally taken into custody when he got to earth - and he was trying to SAVE earth from the same aliens that destroyed his world (*this applies specifically to the Justice League iteration of his backstory).

But Superman has had mostly positive experiences with human from being raised by a lovely human couple to even forming a relationship with a human woman. AND he's interpreted as white - which adds another layer to his character.

There's a reason why Martian Manhunter is interpreted by some fans as "black-coded" - including myself - because he understands firsthand how humanity's bias can separate people based on looks - especially as an alien who can shapeshift and look like anyone.

So, Superman being ready to fly off the handle because of a negative interaction comes off as almost like a tantrum to J'onn, despite the understandable reasons why he's upset.

It reminds me of one scene from a The Boys episode where Billy Butcher and Stan Edgar are discussing how to get rid of Homelander.

Billy Butcher: [Regarding Stan Edgar choosing to keep a literal Nazi hoe as a superhero for his company] "Maybe you should take a look in the mirror, mate. Cuz that bitch should bother you."

Stan Edgar: "Of course she does. But it's not about me. I can't lash out like some raging, entitled maniac. That's a white man's luxury."

While Stan Edgar's motivations are totally different from our favorite Martian's, with Edgar's goal being to control humanity using the pharmaceutical superhero company he's in charge of and J'onn's goal being to save humanity and make it better, both men have a very realistic view of their current situations, how they are perceived and how they have to respond to be successful.

Plus, J'onn is just a real ass dude to be honest. He doesn't flinch when Superman runs up to him and is crashing out. In the show, he reguarly corrects other heroes when they are using excessive force, such as Wonder Woman.

In my opinion, I think Batman specifically put him in this position as watchtower moderator since he not only has the intelligence to balance all these heroes...but he also has a fucking backbone. Martian Manhunter isn't a follower.

I also think this is why J'onn gravitates towards law enforcement roles, whether it's being a detective or being a literal Manhunter back on Mars. Because to be Martian Manhunter is to be fair to everyone - even when it's hard.

This is why it's so fun to be a Martian Manhunter fan and make up stories about him. Because he's always so controlled, calm and collected that I just want to see him crash out ONE 👏🏾GOOD 👏🏾 TIME 👏🏾 over a love interest.

Like that scene with Martian Manhunter and Superman arguing over CADMUS would've gone HELLA different had J'onn had a superpowered girlfriend who was also threatened by CADMUS.

Superman: "Oh yeah? And tell me, what if CADMUS went after (Y/N)?"

I've been pushed to an extreme recently and I need to get this off my chest for my own sanity. I've been ignoring this for months and doing what I can to avoid it, but things have increasingly gotten worse and I'm at a breaking point.

I know there are a lot of people keeping tabs on my blog for all the wrong reasons. This has led to a lot of my posts, fandom related and not, being taken and manipulated in ways to frame me negatively and warp any and all of my genuine intentions. I've done my best to address situations brought directly to me in good faith and with sensitive context, but everything has gotten out of hand and turned into a situation that has left me paranoid, anxious, and distraught. I need it to stop, even though I know it most likely won't.

This all started with my first drawing of the Dream Team girlfailures au in November and how I drew Claire. I understand the issue people had with it and I recognize some of the counter arguments and their valid points, but I think I explained my points well and they are equally valid. I stand by my explanation and I won't be rehashing all of it. The most I'll say is that my representations of cc!Dream in fandom context and of Girlfailures!Dream/Claire as an AU character are derived of a similar foundation but the latter is a fictional entity and not the real man.

I am always open to critique and discussion, but the feedback I've received and the long standing fixation on that art piece hasn't always been good faith critique, and has much more often been harassment and degradation of me as a person. That one drawing has led to an ongoing issue with what I would consider to be stalking and harassment.

Mar, @/cuntdrolo, has made at least 50 posts about and/or involving me, in those either directly linking my blog, indirectly mocking me and my posts, and harping on topics and discussions I was an active participant in. She claims none of this is harassment and stalking, that all of it is derived from me being a "sensitive golo" and normal fandom drama, when it's not. This hasn't been about fandom drama for a long time.

The only time I've directly interacted with her was to send her this message today:

She responded and blocked me, which is what I wanted, but has continued to post about me and this entire situation (which involves other people but I won't be dragging them into my part of this).

Here is a list of every post about me since mid-November. A few links I know for certain are missing, but I was unable to find the posts and two screenshots I had from that time saying I deserved to be killed for my art were deleted long ago. You will have to take my word for that unless I find them, but I understand and respect it if you don't.

I know she won't stop. I know there are people who will agree with her and support her, seeing only one side of this all. I don't care if people like my art. I don't care if people like me. I just want to be left alone and enjoy this fandom space without feeling like every action of mine is being watched and picked apart to an audience that doesn't know me and doesn't care to know me.

I've been in fandoms my whole life. I've dealt with plenty of fandom and personal drama. I've never experienced something to this degree of obsession, stalking, and harassment. I know a lot of this may get twisted back on me, but know I've done so much to ignore this and move on, but after this week with so much more being brought to my attention. I cracked.

Do not go to her blog. Do not interact with her posts. Do not send her anons. Do not involve yourself in this beyond reading this post and understanding my current mindset.

I don't want to be involved in this anymore. Stop making posts about me and leave me alone.

the reason poolverine is so appealing is also because in all of his two-decade run in the xmcu they have given logan some of the most boring and rushed relationships with women (because it was the 2000s and the mold that they followed for rugged manly protagonists meant an astounding lack of chemistry between them and their love interests in favor of giving them the "dead wife who has a montage at the beginning of the movie" treatment etc etc) and then they put him in a 2 hour long film with a guy even more insane and fucked up than him and they matched each other beat for beat. say what you want about the mcu but they achieved a level of chemistry between logan and wade that fox couldn't reach in 20 years with like four different love interests. which is also a petition for them to either go the gay route or finally let logan find a woman he has good chemistry with and who can pass the bechdel test

the roomies!!! i originally designed this ososan oc trio in full about a year ago to write on an rp blog. it's not really active rn, but i still want to talk and post about 'em, so here they are! just basic rundowns, but i'd be curious to hear which one (if any) is your fav of the three (feel free to leave it in the tags?? if u want!)

anzu:

i wanted to use orange as a character colour bc it's one that wasn't already used in the matsu rainbow, and i had a concept of a gyaru character named anzu kicking around in my head for a long time as well, so here we are. miwa from the mixer ep inspired the eyeshadow (orange rather than miwa's blue obv, to keep with her colour theme) and delinquent totoko's design inspired her ombre dyejob! i went with a blonde-to-orange look as a nod to anzu's namesake fruit (apricot).

the strands framing her face are split into 3 sections at the end (2/3 are grouped together and 1/3 flips in the other direction) which is a little nod to her being one of 3 siblings (eldest), as well as the "三" character used in her surname (mikado) meaning 3. the rest of her hairstyle is just because i thought it looked cute, though.

ososan's style is more simplified, but i wanted to convey makeup that was a little bold, but cute (long false lashes, eyeshadow, & and a soft pink or nude glossy lip). clothing-wise, she mixes and matches a few different substyles (agejo and onee are prominent, with some ane, tsuyome, and general old school gal influences as well?), with a particular fondness for animal prints, esp. tiger print. (that said, orange tiger print doesn't seem all that common in gyaru clothes, so in-universe i like to think that the top pictured above was originally a black-and-white zebra(?) stripe print she thrifted and dyed at home--close enough!)

her nails day to day are usually medium length since she has a lot of hobbies that involve her hands and anything longer makes those things a bit more cumbersome. sometimes they're decoden/bedazzled, sometimes they're just painted a cute colour/pattern, depends on the day! and i think she opts for press-ons over extensions for longer nails, since it's cheaper.

i'm just a bitch who loves purple, that's the reason for this one. i think the hime cut with shorter bangs is nice because you can showcase the eyebrows (i think eyebrows can really elevate a character design so i gave all 3 their own brow shape) without worrying about the lines for the eyebrows and bangs intersecting in an annoying way when you draw it. i like shorter, slightly sharp eyebrows like these because they're easy to draw, lol. i think they're usually furrowed like she's displeased with something, but that may just be her resting face. i also thought this blunter, sharper-looking cut (bold, standoffish) was a fun contrast to anzu's flippy half-updo (bright, bouncy) and yuzu's short, wavy hair (languid, relaxed).

5 piercings on each ear (2 spiked helix & 3 lobe) = 5 siblings including ran (4 older brothers). the other reason for this number of piercings was that her namesake flower (orchid) had--i thought--5 petals, but as it turns out i'm a fool, it's actually 3 petals (including the lip) and 3 sepals??? ah, well.

clothing-wise, influences from various punk/vkei styles alongside some rokku gyaru. (maybe anzu introduced her to this one?) this brash style is the total inverse of how she was expected to dress growing up. (when she and anzu first met, she was an OL with no piercings, undyed hair, and positively miserable, but that was a number of years ago now.) i'm really not reinventing the wheel with "small and angry", but y'know, we have fun here.

yuzu:

is teal distinct enough from blue to count as its own colour? i think so. for yuzu, i really loved the concept of a deadpan-looking character who is very much not the straightman, who in fact wants very badly to be the funnyman 99% of the time. that kind of straight-faced but silly comedic character is always really fun to me.

half-lidded/heavy-lidded eyes paired with thick brows are always a winner to me fsr, and i wanted to give her a more "handsome" looking face with a bit more of a defined jaw than you typically see on women in ososan. as a treat. i wanted her to look a bit like a mysterious prettyboy, but she's not actually mysterious, she's just a space cadet. (and very straightforward about her thoughts and feelings, saying them with little fuss or thought.) expectation vs reality, people deciding what you're like based on their own perception vs what you're actually like, etc. etc.

i don't have anything deep to say about her hairstyle, but maybe that's how yuzu would like it, what you see is what you get. (again, eyebrows vs hair... let that eyebrow scar that i gave her for no reason shine.) as for clothing, she prefers things that are easy to move around in, so her style is the most "matsuno"-like (t-shirts, hoodies, basketball shorts, sweats, etc.). in particular, she likes shirts with phrases, usually in english, that are funny or almost make sense but not quite ("for background visual gags" and "for the english speakers in the audience").

By belonging to someone, even if she comes back injured or fails at finding Delgal, she feels like she belongs and is cherished, by owning someone he feels safe in them not leaving him.

She’s what’s tethering him do you see… And he’s the only thing giving her direction and purpose in her state. She needs a compass and he needs a support.

They’re both so out of it 😭 It’s the weirdly intense and unearned mutual trust and reliance on each other?? They’re each other’s weird little comfort codependent teddy bear. Or at least they were headed towards that before SHE DIED THEN HE DIED THEN THEY BOTH FORGOT ABOUT EACH OTHER AND NEVER MET EVER AGAIN. Though she’s also the guard attack hound keeping him safe… And vice versa he heals her and can rewrite her very being with just one wave of his hand. They’re both so so mentally and physically vulnerable both but they cling onto each other. They can’t perceive things accurately but despite it all someway somehow they stumble into something closer to resembling companionship just before they both die. Falin is just that kind and Thistle is just that lonely. Overworked.

We both haven’t lived for ourselves in a very long time, haven’t we.

They both have a similar devotion to the people they love but again the difference is that Thistle starts overtsepping while Falin is self-effacing. The other difference between them is that people care about Falin <3 People have given up on Thistle long ago, and he has given people reasons to, while people refuse to give up on Falin. Yaad has a mini arc about it dw about it it’s ok he’s not all alone in the end 😭😭 He reached out for Marcille’s hand but they already all wanted to help him, they just had to be given the chance to, Yaad just had to be given the chance to, it’s okay I’m okay
