But seriously, impressions can be deceptive. In my experience, yoni animals are the easiest way to guess correctly. Different nakshatras with the same yoni animal can be eerily similar in appearance and "vibes".

Also nakshatra pairs(purva and uttaras) can have similarities too. And btw, don't forget rashi placements and any planets conjunct luminaries and asc. Combine these factors and you can find nakshatras the most similar to a chart that it might not even have.

So, before you decide on a placement, you might want to consider the whole chart and all its major factors. You can play with associations because they often manifest that way, you might never be sure how something from the chart might show on the outside unless you observe and intuitively contemplate real life examples.

I'll give you a nice example. I've always though I had something Purva Phalguni-ish in me. I have that nakshatra nowhere. BUT I have a Venus nakshatra(Bharani moon) and a Phalguni nakshatra(Uttara Phalguni Ascendant), both of which describe Purva Phalguni. I also always admired and "got" Shatabhishas, even though I don't have that nakshatra anywhere neither. I do have Sun tightly conjunct Saturn and Rahu(Shatabhisha's rashi and nakshatra lords) though.

"Yoni" means "origin" and I think that once you contemplate on a nakshatra and its natives, its nature will just reveal itself to you. Yoni animals are truly so simplistic, in a pure way. Cow yonis do have cow eyes. Sheep yonis do have compact but soft features. Cat yonis have prominent cheekbones and cat eyes. Elephant yonis have protruding years, higher cheekbones and a soft, deep expression. Lion yonis have square-ish faces and strong, blunter features.

Yoni animals of all placements do show on a person's face, but moon, ascendant and sun always show the most.

But mainly, to truly understand the essence and the nature of nakshatras and yoni animals, I think it's important that everyone forms a personal understanding of them over time while avoiding delusion as much as possible. Instead of relying on popular labels that have become associated with nakshatras, I'd urge anyone to observe personally and gain experiential knowledge about whatever they're trying to understand.

There's always new things to discover about nakshatras. Don't rob yourself and others of that insight by repeating old narratives. There's also the posts that say new things with questionable or nonexistent proof/arguments and that's what I call irresponsibility and/or delusion.

I clearly see the solar sharpness and the sheep yoni essence.

Sirene asteroid (1009) observations

Sagittarius Sirene people appeal to others when they're fulfilling their purpose or having a clear direction in their lives. For example, my cousin has this placement, and she's able to appeal to others when she's so sure about being a dancer, believing that she was made for that, following the direction set by her heart/intuition without questioning it.

I have this placement too, and I think people come to me a lot in search for answers, to understand themselves better since Sagittarius is all about expanding ourselves.

Sirene in the 5th house is about mesmerizing people when you're in the spotlight, being confident and letting yourself shine. Also when performing, so this is a good placement for celebrities. My cousin has this, and she grabs everyone's attention when dancing, plus her personality (5H) is very charismatic.

I also have Sirene in the 5th House, and I'm not so comfortable in the spotlight which to me comes from the Capricorn degree (10°, 22°). how to use 〜じゃん／じゃない "isn't it?"

if you've been listening to people speak japanese casually, you've probably heard these conversational sentence-final particles! here i'll go over the difference between the two and then give their usages and example sentences. 行こう！

wait, doesn't じゃない just mean "not"?

you would be right about that! but as with lots of things in spoken language, intonation is key here. compare these two sentences in english:

it isn't pretty. (falling intonation)

isn't it pretty? (rising intonation)

clearly, these two sentences mean different things. they use different intonation, but even more obviously, the words come in different orders—in european languages, that's one of the easiest ways to tell a statement from a question. but as we know, in japanese, questions are made without moving words around; so, intonation alone with have to do the job! now, compare these two:

きれいじゃない。 (falling intonation) = it isn't pretty.

きれいじゃない？ (rising intonation) = isn't it pretty? / it's pretty, don't you think?

thanks to the rising intonation in the second sentence, instead of negation, we get a tag question. so if you're reading instead of listening, watch out for situations where you might have to guess or intuit what the intonation of the sentence is!

the difference between 〜じゃん and 〜じゃない

in terms of their conversational meaning or usage, these two particles are the same. however, in terms of "indexing" and social cues, じゃん is a bit more casual and じゃない can have a feminine tone. compare these sentences:

きれいじゃん？ (casual)

きれいじゃない？ (casual, feminine)

きれいじゃないですか？ (a bit more polite)

these sentences all feel very conversational, but depending on how you want to present yourself you might pick one over the others.

also, it's worth noting that じゃん only has the conversational usage: no matter the intonation, it can't mean "not" in regular statements (as far as i've seen, anyway!).

what's the difference between 〜じゃん／じゃない and 〜ね?

both these sentence-final particles ask for agreement or confirmation, as in these two sentences:

きれいだね。

both of these could be translated as "isn't it pretty?" or similar. however, the tag question denoted by 〜じゃん is stronger than the tag question denoted by 〜ね. in other words, ending with じゃん is more like an actual question than ending with ね.

for example, if you said きれいじゃん？, you might be expecting your conversation partner to have had some expectation subverted. maybe you're looking at modern art, and they had initially expressed a disinterest in modern art; saying きれいじゃん？ leaves more room for them to change their opinion or even to disagree with you.

on the other hand, きれいだね is tantamount to a gentle statement, like you already know your conversation partner will agree with you. you might say きれいだね while overlooking a 絶景 (ぜっけい = superb view) such as 富士山 (ふじさん = mt. fuji) or 琵琶湖 (びわこ = lake biwa). after all, who could ever not find those きれい!

addendum: 〜じゃん with falling intonation

i watch someone on youtube who makes lots of designs in animal crossing, and when she is satisfied with a layout she often says 「いいじゃん！」, meaning "isn't that great!" or similar. but why is she using じゃん if she isn't actually asking for confirmation?

this seems to be an instance of a rhetorical tag question. in particular, the intonation of her いいじゃんs is falling, so it doesn't sound like a question. instead, she's making an exclamation out of a question. this is similar to what we might do in english with an exclamation like "isn't that great!", where we might pitch the sentence as a statement instead of a question. (and, to be totally clear, this person also says 「いいんじゃない？」 a lot too!)

Diablerie — not as in being diablerized, but the act itself; of being manipulated into/tempted again; of not being able to stop/her bulimia triggering if she’s for whatever reason feeding from another kindred, something she tries very hard not to do.

Aila — that presence when it stirs.

It’s more “fear for”, but Julian, or specifically whatever he’s thinking when his eyes get that focused black gleam. She knows it like some dreaded visual cue: tunnel vision. It used to be cute, watching him prattle while they lay out on the trailer roof on the New Mexico border two hours before sunrise, but they’re not fledglings anymore — there are very real consequences now.

Her voraciousness — in physical and emotional hunger.

Where their eyes fall; how interested and receptive they are. In kind, how open, honest, or easy their behavior is — if there’s a forced sincerity about it. Mentally: 9 LOL. Sol’s resolve and composure are insanely high and she has such a weak, dissolving and deeply negative sense of self already… it would be difficult for someone to target her in that way and have any luck getting through to really hurt her. Which is a whole other issue 🤦‍♀️

Emotionally (essentially if you are Julian, or her brother Tiago, or the presence of Aila; to a lesser extent Elena and Lettow): 4. Huge upset here is what’s most likely to pierce carapace, hit that soft underbelly. Sol definitely has got that desert fruit pulpy, nutty and horrifically messy centre underneath all the disconnect.

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? (Or freeze or fawn?)

It depends. Sol actually works well under pressure (again as long as it’s not her very specific brand of emotionally taxing trigger).

If she thinks she has a chance at getting through, or has no chance at all in a fight, she will fawn. It’s become insidiously intrinsic: whatever you need, whatever you want, I'll bend to any shape, don’t worry about me.

In an unavoidable outright hostile situation she’ll hold her ground and fight but be dirty about it. The nighthawk is pretty effective on mortals lol. With other kindred or when vastly outnumbered however… she’s not a tank but she’s slippery and her scorpion’s-touch-augmented-protean-claws hit like envenomated machetes. She can draw a whip from her vitae and create ugly little parasitic snakes made from spilled viscera. She will incapacitate, possibly fawn again if something can be worked out (Miss Second Chances To Her Detriment over here), and/then/or shoot to kill. Or die I suppose if she loses.

What animal represents them best?

Scorpions, snakes… specifically the species’ that are shyer, solitary and less aggressive, which in some cases those often have the strongest venom — very fitting for Sol. She can be a handle-carefully-and-don’t-push deal these nights.

It’s more out of symbolism but I really like the idea of the hummingbird for her too, in an “in another life/if things had went differently” kind of way (also the Sierra Vista connection — where she grew up). She was once naturally extroverted, poised, playful, dreamy, brave. Never stubborn or too headstrong, but at least less inclined to do what others wanted of her if she disagreed. Those traits have warped a lot, and she’s since got too-sharp teeth and corpse-skin that really is starting to feel a lot like carapace.

She knows she’s a monster, and she has complex views on that, but at the end of it all cannot detach from her conscience. Guilt eats her alive. I think Sol wants nothing else but to keep from what feels like the inevitable complete unhinging of her jaw.

How would a stranger likely describe them?

Striking, quiet but restless beauty. You guys will have to forgive my art lol. She has soft hispanic/asian features, thick dark wavy hair, deep olive tan skin, long legs. A slow and alluring (but not provocative) way of speaking and moving.

Obnoxious tattoos, dark undereyes, and on closer inspection her gnarly jagged scar can often have a stranger furrowing their brow.

She maintains a poker face, is intentionally unexpressive, but there’s an unconscious sensuality about her.

Sad eyes, like they themselves are trying to tell you something that even she’s not aware of.

Sol dropped out of school and is not academically inclined, but she is tenacious and open-minded and very much a quick, kinetic learner with a good eye for detail. Julian fills her in on whatever important prep knowledge and research she needs from tomes for bigger rituals, but he is usually the one conducting those — Sol has no grand plans. Otherwise she experiments a lot with minor powers within both the blood sorcery and protean disciplines, and her own weird magic-melee amalgamation of them. Because I have to dual-spec or I'll die!!!!!

Some spoilers for Hades 2 early access regarding Chronos below the cut.

He did not look or sound at all like what I expected, but I now immediately understand why all of his adult children are Like That, as well as why they’d quickly drop their previous squabbles and band together to try to get rid of him when he tried to force himself back into their lives. I instantly recognized every single trick he tried to pull on Mel when he first met her to try to manipulate her or put her down to “put her in her place” from other people’s descriptions of their own shitty, appearance-obsessed control freak parents with untreated personality disorders. I think the more understated delivery really works for him, particularly with that underlying paternalistic edge of absolute certainty and treating his enemies like misbehaving children who need to be reminded who’s in charge, even if they’re grown-ass adults. I also feel absolutely terrible for Hades, given that dear ol’ dad is trying to reassert control over him by “taking away his toys” and trashing everything he’d worked so hard to build in order to force him back into his original position of childlike dependency. It’s been almost 20 years and he *really* hasn’t finished “renovations” and fixed up the throne room? He doesn’t give a shit about actually maintaining the realm, just punishing Hades for trying to emancipate himself and be an independent adult by asserting ownership over all of Hades’ stuff and forcing him to watch as Daddy Dearest destroys everything he loved. He pretends to be absolutely rational and objective, but he’s actually a pathetic, emotionally immature piece of shit who throws manipulative tantrums and breaks things to bully his own children into compliance, and I can’t believe Mel has to waste her life fighting this loser who’s got nothing better to do than bully his barely-adult granddaughter. Kudos to Supergiant for making one of the most skincrawling depictions of an abusive dad ever.

But, also, now it makes a bit more sense for Hecate to have raised Mel in isolation—it’s easier to blow off an abusive relative’s appeals to authority when they’re a complete stranger to you. However, it’s also interesting that her early meetings with Chronos are the first time polite, deferential Melinoë has just straight-up told an adult trying to pull rank to fuck off. But that might be because she’s got no memories of him or fondness for him, so there’s no sense of filial piety or family obligation that would otherwise make her blame or second-guess herself. She has a slightly harder time with her, uh, more assertive Olympian relatives who she has more of a personal connection to and are slightly more subtle and “nice” about trying to goad her in specific directions. However, I also think Mel meeting Artemis and Hermes first and them warning her in advance about how overbearing the rest of the family can be might’ve inoculated her somewhat, even if she’s more like her dad in that she lacks the more intuitive way with people Zagreus has and isn’t as certain how to use her own charisma as leverage.

Anyways, I hope Melinoë kicks her Peepaw’s ass, but, given the type of real-life personality he has, I’m not sure if that’s actually going to make him stop or change short of a White Diamond-level epiphany where he realizes what a piece of shit he’s been to his own children and willingly fucks off out of his grandkid’s life forever.

All Kernels need to be prototyped to successfully create a universe - and I have no doubt that all Denizen Hoards must likewise be collected to initiate the Ultimate Alchemy. This feels like a much harder sell than speedrunning the frog breeding, and the only Player who might beat his Denizen in time is the divinely-empowered John.

Without performing the Alchemy, I assume that the immature Genesis Frog (Genesis Tadpole?) will simply be unable to evolve into a viable universe. If they don't find a workaround, Bilious Slick will be nothing more than a fancy garden pet.

RANT ABOUT THERAPY AND WHY IT'S NOT MY CUP OF TEA 🤡

+ trying to guess the therapist's rising and our synastry and ranting about it cause I am tired man (and too sensitive lol)

(Update 23/11/24 : I might have slightly overreacted 🤡😀😁 lol plus maybe the therapist was actually a Taurus rising lol idk man I am confused as fuck about everything bye 😝🤪🫡)

Just had my first therapist appointment since 2021 and what can I say....it was REALLY awkward. I don't know how people are able to spill their deepest traumas like that bro she just sat down and told me to talk 💀 like what I thought she would interview me or start the first appointment with pre-made questions to make a profile, regarding my background, family relationships,etc .. It was really messy and I was so confused throughout the whole thing.

I understand it's a privilege to afford therapy (it was 60euros for 45 minutes lol of course it is) but it is much more complex than just spilling your guts to a random with a degree.

Something about me is that I always thought i didn't really need therapy, no matter how painful a situation was for me. And it wasn't only therapy, it was also opening up to my own friends 💀 i could take care of myself like i always did anyways so whats the point of paying for it ? I understood people who needed it and felt helped by it. But it just wasn't for me. I have realizations on my own consistantly thanks to my self-awareness and trained and developped intuition.

What pushed me to go back to therapy even though i was , and still am, very skeptical in its effectiveness on me, is that this year, I realized asking for help won't actually kill me and that i have my limits as a human being.

I fear this appointment just unfortunately kind of validated my initial more negative feelings towards therapy and the idea that I don't really need it.

As a really introspective and painfully self-aware person who has a hard time asking for help (but is actively working on it), I really don't know what kind of therapy could help me, really. I know I probably have a few blind spots, but it's so out of my comfort zone to open up like that. I kind of hate it.

I want to keep an open mind, and probably try another therapist but damn if I don't f*ck with any, it just feels forced .. I trust divine timing for that because I don't really want to put myself in such a situation again.

Right now, I feel dirty knowing a random woman knows about my deepest traumas in a really messy and all over the place way. She has fragments of my soul, and despite me having somewhat giving my consent for it, it was too fast. Maybe it's my 8th house moon conjunct Lilith (1181) in Leo that is speaking but I feel literally violated. Strong words but this how uncomfortable it was for me.

Guessing the therapist's rising sign and ranting about 12th house synastry...

Random but I think the therapist in question had a Virgo or Leo rising... I already said it's the most common rising signs (especially virgo) and I am losing patience. We probably had a 12th house synastry that's why our exchange was really weird and scattered. She kept on making weird faces while I was talking telling me she didn't understand what I was trying to say.... I know it all too well because EVERY single person I knew or had interacted with that had a leo rising, my interactions with them were like this. I was saying stuff and it felt like it went in one ear and got out in the other. Like they could hear me but not listen and understand what i was trying to say. This kind of reminds me of Willy Wonka's relationship with Mike TV or wth his name is, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Tim Burton's movie. Wonka always said stuff to him whenever he opened his mouth like "I cannot hear a single thing you say because you're speaking gibberish"or whatever. (Me being Mike TV and Leo risings being Willy Wonka).

This is how every single one of my interactions with Leo risings went, no matter their gender or age. It was always like that.

the timetravel def wasn't planned, he had found the spell by chance and it never specified what would happen so he kept it as a backup just in case

during the God Valley incident he got cornered and used it when it became clear he wouldn't otherwise get out of the situation

He thought that his crew would keep watch over his child until he could get back to them since Crocodile was raised with them (looking at you Newgate and Linlin)

Instead of landing near his little Pebble, he turns up in front of ASL and subsequently has to learn to live with the facts that a) he's def not in his original time anymore and b) that somehow the spawn of Monkey D. Garp managed to romance his Pebble

ASL not taking him seriously (S: Should we tell baba or dad? A: nah, he's kinda pathic)

Would be kind of funny if Xebec is just laying head down on the table while Luffy pokes him (Ace and Sabo are judging Xebec...hard) when whoever is supposed to be watching them appears

People finding out in a ranking order of how hilarious I imagine it:

Makino (in the case that ASL are having their lunch in Party Bar) -> "Oh, who is your new friend? Rocks, I have never heard of that name but I can ask around Foosha? Oh, you mean Wani, they're currently on a work trip so I'm looking after the boys, do you want me to take a message? ...What do you boys mean he just appeared??" While Xebec is trying to impress on her the fact that a) he's a scourge of the seas, b) yes please, he does need to talk with his Pebble ASAP and c) no, he does not mean any harm and he's not some crazy stalker!! Ending with him nearly being run out of Foosha or Garp being called on him because he's visiting

Garp -> but in this case ASL already finished their lunch and went back to their tree house (still with the premise that Dragodile is gone for some reason and that they're currently babysat on Dawn), they decided to let that fancy guy follow them because Luffy likes him and they trust his intuition so, so it's just a row of ducklings with Ace and Sabo at the front bickering about Xebec while Luffy follows happily and Xebec is just trudging along, shell-shocked because his Pebble has children!! and being tired af after God Valley, they decide to park Xebec with Dadan because that's where they got left when their gramps didn't know where to stick them (Dadan: I am not running a charity or hotel!! ...fine, I guess he can stay), imagine Garp turning up a few days later and finding not only his grandkids but also that guy he and Roger tried their hardest to kill and who then seemingly disappeared from thin air, Garp and Xebec just staring slently for a moment with completely blank faces before Garp turns around and walks back into the forest, ASL are delighted and want to learn how to do that to gramps before a sudden ruckus starts and Garp comes charging back and just starts trying his best to kill Xebec, cue both of them just screaming at each other over perceived slights while everyone else is just absolute lost (X: My Pebble and your family?? G: And they also became a government sanctioned warlord!! X: NooOOO!!)

Dragodile -> "What do you mean a strange man just appeared and you fed him because he looked kinda pathetic?? Dragon, this is your fault, you and your bleeding heart, we should just remove hi- DAD??"

Thank you for this delightful ask! I do enjoy pondering this AU and you have great and amusing ideas! X'D I don't know which scenario I find most hilarious! Maybe Garp, because poor Dadan has to deal with another guy. But he's so wet and pathetic that she can't say no. She'll just make Crocodile pay for this freeloader since his kids dragged in this guy. And then poor Dadan almost gets her house destroyed when Garp and Xebec clash. (I assume Xebec is stronger than Garp if it took both Garp and Roger working together to defeat him. But maybe he's just strangely depowered from God Valley and the impromptu time traveling so he can't fight at full strength.)

I have some thoughts too but they might be darker than the comedy route we seem to be taking for this AU *lol*

I was imagining that Rocks vaguely knows what the spell does. That it connects blood to blood. Stealing from Supernatural some more, it's possible that he knew that it was going to activate the moment he dies - the energy unleashed in death can be harnessed and directed so that instead of the soul of the person going wherever it goes in the OP world it stays on earth, but Xebec doesn't know what exactly is going to happen. Will he just become a spirit? Fine by him, he's gonna haunt Roger.

It's possible that it was announced that the God Knights managed to kill Rocks' kid, WB believing it because he saw the familiar clothing (that Croc might have exchanged with one of the many civilian casualties because he heard that he was hunted. He's a tough, resourceful 8 year old.) but Rocks knows it can't be true. So he goes to fight, not caring if he dies. Because if he dies and his Pebble is still alive, blood will connect to blood with the spell. If he dies and his Pebble is also dead then it doesn't matter anyway.

And if the spell doesn't do anything or does something else, surely WB or Linlin will take care of his Pebble (who has to be alive.)

So for all Garp knows Rocks is dead. He killed him. And then a blast of energy hit them and they thought this was just some sort of self-destruction by Rocks so that the Government couldn't get his body. But nope. He's here eating Spaghetti with his grandkids. Still as young as he was that day. X'D

And I guess Crocodile would recognize his dad in this case. Because I've also played around with an idea that he, for some reason, doesn't recognize him, doesn't remember anything about his childhood before waking up on a random island, all alone.

But we can do funny/ silly for this AU, I don't mind! Plenty of other AUs I could load full of angst >:3
