Rebekah Jones has taken to social media to express her outrage after her son’s arrest for posting a meme on Snapchat mocking Police.

Rebekah Jones, a data scientist fired from the Florida Department of Health for refusing to manipulate data on the COVID-19 pandemic, has been in the news again.

This time, her 13-year-old autistic son has been arrested for posting a meme in a Snapchat group that mocked Police for their inaction during mass shootings.

The high angle of his cheekbones and the shape of his eyes, the curve of his brow bones and the shape of his nose. The volume of his hair and the way it curls and gets fluffy when it gets too long.

His hair is black the same way a crow's wing is black. His dad's hair is black the same way a black bear's fur is black. His dad's eyes are blue like the ocean is blue. Danny's eyes are blue the same way a glacier is blue.

His dad has a square jaw and straight flat hair, and he tans and gets a face full of freckles when he's out in the sun for too long. Danny burns like a lobster and his face remains untouched. Danny has a sharp jaw and tall cheekbones, and Sam says when he's not smiling there's almost something regal about him. You would never call Jack Fenton "regal" when he's not smiling.

Sam says when he's not smiling he looks scary the same way a stone statue is. Jack Fenton when he's not smiling looks scary the same way that german shepherd staring at you across the street is.

Do you ever think he grew up wondering if he was adopted. Because of course, he has black hair and blue eyes like his dad. But having the same color doesn't make you someone's child.

Or, worse, things he's heard from the other kids and the other parents and even some of his teachers growing up; that he was the product of an affair. And that his dad was just too stupid to notice. And Danny would defend his parents until the day he died, because Jack Fenton wasn't an idiot and Maddie Fenton wasn't a cheater.

But doubt comes in with fickle tongue. his parents swear up and down that he is their child when he asks about either. That Danny just had his grandparents' features, but he was their son and they loved him.

But Danny doesn't look like either of his parents. His mom's eyes are blue like an aquamarine and Jazz's too. And they burn like lobsters in the sun too, but Jazz gets freckles on her face and so does Maddie. And as Danny grows up he doesn't bulk up or get stocky like his dad did, and when he hits puberty he doesn't shoot up like a tree like Jack Fenton did.

He stays small, and they say he's a late bloomer (and he is), or that he just has his mom's height. But he's fast and has good stamina, and some days it feels like he's built entirely different from his family. That the things they went through growing up just didn't apply to him. Jack and Maddie Fenton both had acne and breakouts when they hit puberty, and Jazz inherits it and he's seen the amount of skincare products she keeps on her side of the bathroom.

And then he hits puberty and breaks out maybe once or twice, but his skin stays clear for the most part and the problems and changes his dad went through just don't happen to him.

And the truth is worse than all of the lies.

How horrifying.

More on this ^ from this... this is 100% why Anne and Marcy think she's straight for the longest time, bonus points if Sasha rarely bothers to tell anyone she's bisexual when half the time she's just called a fake. The fact that she's almost exclusively seen dating boys means nothing when she spends her nights looking at old pictures and watching videos of her girls with that fluttery feeling in her chest that no one else could ever get from her. Twisters AU - meeting the in laws

Been thinking about Twisters and that iconic moment they recreated with the dude pressed up against the girl trying to protect her from the incoming tornado, practically wrapping himself around her as they both cling to the uprights for dear life....

I wouldn't mind seeing that happen with Kara and Lena, except in this version Lena would be the one promising she's got Kara, "I've got you, it's okay, I've got you", while Kara is one hundred percent being triggered by the past literally repeating itself around her.

Then afterwards, Kara is basically unresponsive, so once Lena passes the mom and the kid off to the paramedics, she returns to where Kara is sitting numb in the bottom of the pool, and just sits with her, holding her hands to ground Kara until Kara eventually comes round enough to move.

When she has the presence of mind to actually look at Lena and read the woman's expression, she realizes that Lena understands what's happening-- that Lena likely knows (has always known) who Kara is and her tragic backstory. But there's no judgement in it, only calm assurance.

They only part ways when their respective teams show up. Lena gives Kara's shoulder a reassuring rub before disengaging, shooting Mike (because of course Mon el would be the scummy stooge working for the Luthors under the radar) as she goes. When Mike fusses over Kara, Kara can't help but wish Lena was still with her, missing the woman's staid presence and the bubble of calm around her that had extended to envelop Kara as well.

When Kara eventually confronts Mike about his work for the Luthors and their predatory practices, and basically bites his head off about it, Lena watches from afar, and when Mike storms off to lick his wounds, Lena splits from her crew and approaches Kara once more. Kara can only try to pretend she isn't relieved by her return-- she isn't sure she's successful.

"Hey, ah--" Lena lifts one hand to scrub the back of her neck, plainly nervous in a way Kara's never seen her before. "I'm gonna let my guys handle things on the ground here. Can I-- would you like to come somewhere with me?"

Kara stares, and Lena realizes how weird she'd worded the request. She flushes.

"I mean-- I've got someone I think you should meet."

Kara ultimately-- inevitably-- agrees. Because it's Lena and she needs Lena right now. In the same way she'd needed Alex so desperately after her sister had died, but also... in a different way. A new way. She nods, and before she knows it they're heading to what Kara eventually realizes is Lena's hometown.

When they pull up to a quaint farmhouse standing amid acres of land, Lena throws the truck into park with a smile that Kara hasn't seen before. It carries the warmth of relief and familiarity, and Kara knows that they've arrived to where Lena has spent the majority of her life-- where her heart has always remained.

Lena hops out first, shutting the car door before reaching through the open window to beep out a "shave and a haircut" on the horn as Kara comes around the side to meet her. Lena snags her cowboy hat off the dash and settles it over her braids, shooting Kara a bright smile as the door opens and a lanky woman trots out wearing a grin not so different from Lena's.

"I wasn't expecting you til Labor Day!" the woman exclaims, throwing her arms around Lena in a fierce hug that Lena returns just as enthusiastically. "Ohhh, I've missed you!"

Kara hovers awkwardly, unwilling to interrupt the moment, but well. Clearly an interloper. When Lena and their host part, Lena cocks her head with her arm slung around the woman's shoulders.

"Kara, this is my mother, Jo." She doesn't really need to say it-- the similarities abound, from the bright glint in their eyes and the bright, keen smiles that crease their features, both warm and inviting. Lena glances sidelong at her mother, then slides her gaze to Kara.

"Mom, this is Kara."

Mike's surprise and relief when El says she missed him. He takes a deeep breath.

Bless him. She's not leaving you, bud.

The way he's so eased then. He doesn't initiate the serious part of the conversion, she does, which means she probably had more to say, but her saying she missed him gives him the strength to start to try to tell her the truth then.

He feels like maybe it will be okay. Maybe she'll stay. She missed him. Even when they were on bad terms, she still missed him.

It's so simple, but so common and easy to fall into. The idea that when she stopped needing him, she would leave him because nothing else was keeping her. But missing him was.

She didn't need him. I think he still knows that. The original monologue says that he could tell when she left, and they came up on her already having escaped on her own, only in need of a ride.

He knows she doesn't need him because he knows he didn't save her when he showed up. But he didn't know yet that that didn't matter to her.

He probably thought that because he failed to be a good boyfriend then failed to be her hero, he was confirmed as useless to her. They were having a nice time for now, but she could laugh with any other member of the party too.

But then she said she missed him. Even though he didn't save her.

Even if he doesn't know Will was lying, he knows Will was embellishing. He knows Will was telling him a story about her through his eyes, not quoting her. So "she needs you" was a mistranslation on Will's part, but what he meant remained. "She's not leaving"

Because Mike doesn't need to believe that El needs him. He needs to believe that she'll want him even when she doesn't. She needs to need nobody, which is where she is now. He only wants her to need him because he doesn't believe she'll want him.

But I think this tells him that she does. He hasn't told her he loves her since their fight. He hasn't righted his wrongs. She loves herself now. She got herself out. He didn't save her. Even when he was of absolutely no "use" to her...she still missed him.

Because she missed him. And the surprise is beautiful and so sad. Because he never thought of that before. He never thought that his use could just be sitting there with her wearing pizza box sunglasses and giggling and she'd stay for that.

But she will. And he knows that now. And that's what pushes him forward to start talking about it here. He could have been hesitant and let her lead the way and followed when she got there or corrected her or whatever she was gonna say, but at this point, he took the lead.

Because he trusted her. He trusted her to love him enough. To love this "loser" enough not to leave him. Because she missed him even when he hadn't done anything to earn it.

And so he starts talking. He starts telling her the truth because his deepest fear was that if he couldn't give her what she needed, she'd leave. But he couldn't, and she stayed. Because he's what she wanted.

He feels safer here. She asked him to do something. He can't do it. But she already thinks that. And already thinking that, she missed him. Still.

He was terrified it would be "since you couldn't say it, I'm leaving you", but it was "I missed you". Whether she was gonna break up with him or not over that, a break up doesn't mean leaving and she was never going to leave. And he knew that here. It would have been terrifying if she had said "say it now or I'm leaving" and he still couldn't.

But instead, she said 'I'm sad you can't say it, but you're still important to me.' And she might have at worst said 'maybe we just stop being the type of relationship where I want/expect you to say it'. From her surprised reaction when she thought he was going to a moment later, it's clear after their 4x03 fight she had no expectation of him suddenly being able to (logical, that's really television trope-y for the answer to be insecurity and not just not loving a person and that sucky).

She thought she had her answer. She thought he didn't love her and that meant she was unlovable. Now she's learned he doesn't love her and that has nothing to do with her. So she's telling him that she loves him but can't keep waiting for him because she loves herself too much for that. But she will not stop loving him in doing that.

And that is the best thing he could have heard. That's why he relaxes like he does. Feeling safe. Because in just "I missed you," she just said "thinking I knew for a fact that you didn't love me, when you were away, I still wanted you back in my life". So just as she is thinking "he doesn't love me but it has nothing to do with me, I know that now", he is now feeling safe to say "I don't love you like that but it has nothing to do with you."

THIS is what the monologue later lacked. He felt completely safe to tell the truth. She was not going to leave or die regardless of result, so the only choice he had to make was not "keep her or lose her", it was "tell the truth or don't" with no deeper bearing to those than on himself.

It's a sad truth to tell. So he looks a little sad. But notice how he doesn't look nearly as scared as he used to.

And getting these gifs, I also notice that this is reflected in the blocking! They are now sitting on an even plane, where she was above him before. Because he is not scared of her reaction and she is not dependent on whatever he might say.

It is genuinely just so extremely compelling to watch Eleanor stab every single person who loves her in the back over and over again and then wonder why she's miserable

Her specific storyline is SO rife with tragedy it's unreal

Part of it is definitely "character as fate," we see her go through what ostensibly looks like an arc but she never really changes, she refuses to

She has always wanted a seat at the table and to be relevant and she continues trying to get that by any means necessary, betraying anyone who doesn't align with it

And all she ends up doing is losing everyone and trapping herself over and over again

It's very very good and compelling storytelling
