How about "stop distracting me" for your Tav and whatever character they're romancing?
*looks at my growing list of Tav's* Uh...yeah. Sure. Seriously though, thanks. I should break the dam for writing in this game.
Five Ten sentence prompts. I allowed it only because extensive dialogue tagging doesn't really count...does it? Anyways, on the road to Baldur's Gate, my half-drow bard, Fiona, and Wyll...who I'll probably wind up writing more for because poor Wyll has so little content and Fiona hasn't shut up since I started playing.
***
The evening air was crisp with a growing chill, but he hardly noticed despite sitting far from the night's fire, enthralled as he was watching her practice a performance. She moved gracefully, her feet gliding through thr steps of a well-known dance, fingers plucking the notes of imaginary strings, and her voice humming a lilting tune all while she wore a face that haunted his memories--one not quite her own.
"Stop distracting me, I can feel your stare like the point of your rapier," she said, sing-songing to the melody she hummed. A moment later and her feet stopped, a hand went to her hip, and those silvery blue eyes pierced him with a combination of false accusation and twinkling humor.
"That is hardly my intention, though it does not bode well if one adoring fan is enough to drive you to distraction," Wyll laughed, "Especially when I am merely wondering at the necessity."
"The necessity is in the fact I am the only one who remembers what having an actual job is like, and if we wish to not sleep in the cold for our entire duration at Baldur's Gate then we need coin," Fiona answered, "It's just...been a while since I've has to focus on so much during a performance."
"That is the necessity to which im referring," Wyll said and rose, moving to stand in front of her. He watched as her disguise spell dissipated the moment he reached out towards her, brushing her hair from obscuring her face and trailing his fingers down her jaw, urging those eyes he loved to look back at him--one silvery blue, and one drow red. "I understand, but for your sake I wish you did not feel the need to hide, that you could trust the world enough to show the heart I know."
Those eyes softened considerably as Fiona smiled, leaned up on her toes, and--just before closing the distance between them with a kiss--uttered, "If only the world had half the heart you did.

Picking outfits is hard when you're a werewolf in a monster-hunting empire and also you're fuzzy and your House is known for wearing clothes that cover as little as possible.
(this is from an au of my campaign! the werewolf is not mine, and the entire premise of the au is that she gets raised as a noble in the arcane noble House instead of as a farmer, and the monster-obsessed heir to the House gets to bother her. he also has opinions about fashion.)

the contrast between jat's adventure and treeboy's adventure is soooo funny, jat's skipping around the forest like "karlach understands my 'used as a child soldier' trauma :D lae'zel and shadowheart and karlach all have crushes on me :D people actually like it when i kill things to protect them :D astarion and i are going to take over the world and no one will ever control us or take advantage of us or hurt us ever again :D i have friends and they like me and i'm super powerful and i'm having the time of my life :D :D :D" meanwhile loreleaf's curled up in a fetal position on wyll's lap like "if i have to kill one more living being or talk to one more devil or make one more decision that affects the lives of people outside myself, i'm going to self-immolate. don't let lae'zel come to the funeral"

Sketchy experimental piece I did a while ago (and might have posted on my RP blog, I don’t remember) in order to play around with some of Clip Studio’s coloring features. I dig the soft palette because dog knows I suck with watercolors otherwise. :P

How I would have done Teldrassil
There was some Sylv discourse today on twitter, which I totally missed and Nobbel deleted whatever tweet he made so idek what it was about lol, BUT I read some "how it should have been" tweets and I wanted to write down how I would have done Teldrassil:
So, Azeroth just got stabbed and everyone is trying crazy experiments with the newly discovered Azerite. Kaldorei druids end up making some azerite infused super-life substance that has pretty great healing properties, but by accident, they discover it has the opposite effect on undead. It vaporizes undeath. Maybe someone had an undead battle pet out and it touched the goo and it died like a cartoon in roger rabbit.
Anyway, the worst thing to happen to Azeroth in recent history WAS undead and having a potential weapon against that is super good, but there's the whole political problem of ~oops~ we have something that can instantly vaporize a particular enemy race… a race that's not insanely well liked even by their allies... a race that can only keep 'living' by preying on the dead of everybody else, and makes anywhere they live spooky and rotting and gross to everyone but them… anyway we won't keep this secret forever, but, in the middle of this whole azerite-rush, we'll just wait until tensions are not QUITE so high, then bring this all to light in a peaceful and honest way and both factions will have control of supply and security etc., and use it only for the good healing properties, or against any new undead threats, and definitely not against Forsaken.
But ofc, Horde spies end up discovering the existence of this Undead-Away and tell the Warchief.
A good Warchief would handle this by demanding it all fully be turned over to both factions, they would acknowledge the benefit of having that kind of power, studying the tech, but also acknowledge the extreme danger to an integral part of the Horde, and take extra steps to ensure their safety and reiterate the Forsaken's value to the Horde.
Warchief Sylvanas, however, would need to ensure Undead-Away was destroyed, and kill anyone who knew how to make it, at any cost. That type of unique threat to the Forsaken could not be allowed to exist. She would claim the Night Elves had been creating a weapon unbeknownst even to their allies (technically true), and were therefore preparing to be aggressive (a lie). She would omit the fact this weapon only affects undead, maybe even orchestrate an incident that made it seem like it affected the living too, with the help of her alchemists. Even if it came to light that this weapon only really affected undead, the idea of deceitful Night Elf weaponry would still have been planted, that particular knowledge would come too late to really matter.
Teldrassil must be attacked and temporarily controlled in order to purge this substance too dangerous for either faction to control. "USE IT ON THE ALLIANCE" some more bloosthirsty members of the Horde would say. No, no, Sylvanas would say, that would be dishonorable :). For the good of Azeroth, such a weapon must be destroyed. Sylvanas has turned a new leaf after all, she's not blighting anymore, she's interested in stability as Warchief. Both factions should be kept in check.
So, the plan would be to surprise attack Teldrassil, occupy it, purge the city of all the Undead-Away, and then... leave. They would make their intentions clear to the Alliance (after they had started the attack, of course) and actually, pretty true to their word, they would let anyone who wanted to leave the tree go peacefully. Obvs any nobody-druid who knew how to recreate the weapon would wind up dead, and any too-important druid would have to risk escalating the conflict by calling out Sylvanas's lies. But for the most part, there would be no excessive death caused by the Horde forces, Sylvanas would even make a point of publicly punishing any Horde for unapproved violence.
Sylvanas wouldn't need or want a greater conflict than necessary, so there would be none, unless the Alliance wanted to return to all out war against the Horde over what would ultimately amount to just be humiliation.
Because a pre-BFA, pre-Jailer, pre-shit Sylvanas's end goal was this: Don't die. She tried dying before, and she went to Hell, so her goal now is Never Die Again. Never Dying would be achieved by ensuring the Forsaken are a strong race with a secure future. For that, she needs a balance of Forsaken power, but also healthy and happy living races that keep reproducing, so that they keep dying, so that Forsaken can keep reproducing.
But, at some point during the occupation, Teldrassil burns. And we don't know why. Maybe some Horde did it to be mean. Maybe it was an accident as some Night Elves fought back righteously against the occupying Horde. Maybe some kind of magic + Undead-Away is insanely flammable. We never learn the truth, and if we did, it doesn't matter. The Alliance blames the Horde, and the Horde blames the Alliance.
The leaders of the Alliance heroically and epically rescue most of the citizens still in the city, with Tyrande and Malfurion leading the effort. The Horde occupying the city are not quite as lucky, but they're soldiers. So a lot of them are tryhards and have gliders so they can just jump off the tree :). And some Alliance and Horde still die horribly in flames.
Night Elves lose their home, and Sylvanas prepares for the Alliance's retaliation. It wasn't her goal, but it's something she can work with. The Horde and the Forsaken will not fall, and the banger ass BFA trailer actually makes sense and isn't false advertising.

The Underdark Blessing
Wordcount: 1986 Kinks: Ovi, eggpreg, breeding, webbing?, drider, cumflation (technically). Synopsis: In the deep underdark, a drider waits to give her clutch to the next prey to come along. The Goddess honours her with two strong orcs.
Thank @daddymakesitbetter for this one, folks!
The underdark; her place of sanctuary, darkness, welcoming. She skittered through tunnels and across walls as if it was nothing, despite the bulk of her form. Slender chitinous legs, round and smooth abdomen, and of course, her Drow half. The dark elf form of her upper body was graceful and slender, bereft of clothes or any of the trappings of an old forgotten society. Few were as blessed as she; the most loved of any spider. For she carried a great weight, bearing down her body, slowing it’s elegant movement. Whilst her form ached oh so heavily for relief, she must be patient. For if she waited, then it would come. Prey always came eventually.
The daylight never reached down here; but something else did. Settled high and out of sight, a foot resting on a guidewire, she felt it. Vibration. Not quite in her trap yet, but a sign… shifting, peering through her jet black eyes, there. A group, it seemed. Her fangs drooled, eager, and she had to hold calm, steady. Bhakiss was patient, as with all things. They were blundering along – such big, heavy bodies. They would hold many of her young, yes… if only they would fall to her trap. So delicate had she strung the wires, surely they would not notice until too late…
She felt the first twang, as the webbing caught. A confused mumble, a rough gasp – and the web began to sing, the fighting of her heavy body, forcing it to the limit of it’s power. They were speaking, deep voices that rumbled oh so pleasantly through every part of her chitinous body. In this darkness, often they carried flaming brands, but this group seemed not to have them – good, good. Confident, perhaps; or they saw well in the dark, like her… the voices were becoming more frantic as she began to carefully move across the ceiling, eyes fixated on her great web. And there they were, oh, what a perfect gift, a kindness from her most generous Goddess.
Both of the women were completely, helplessly tangled. Their leather armour askew, weapons out of reach, hair sticky, arms spread. The perfect fools, both of them throwing all of their energy into resisting her web. Exhausting themselves. She waited, just out of sight, long white hair curling around her shoulders, until they began to sag. And only then did she carefully lower herself, settling her legs onto the ground. As expected, her appearance surged them to energy again – hands so helplessly held that every stretch towards a weapon only trapped them more. With her own ability, well, it was beyond easy – stepping onto her web, moving to sweep the weapons away, casting the foul iron into the abyss. And they shouted, so loud, so strong… perfect to carry her young.
“Oh, sweet voice.” Bhakiss whispered, voice forever dry and sibilant, since her fangs had taken root and she needed so little to talk now. “I cannot wait for you to both sing.” and she laughed, as soft and rough as old leaves dancing in a breeze. They shared a dark eyed glance, full of fear, and oh, that was as delicious as anything else. The slightly smaller of the two was first; building a heavy mat of webbing, drawing it with expert legs over her body, trapping arms to sides and making her a helpless bundle – but leaving her face exposed, trailing a fingertip down that jawline. Lifting the wrapped orc, she drew back, scurrying away. The other shouted, starting to thrash again – crying out for her compatriot, so unaware of what awaited them both.
Up, up, over the walls, a little slower with her new toy, she slid into the gap that opened into her own den – mats of webbing made it comfortable, and old bones, still sticky, littered the ground. For this one, she began to spin – sticking her to the wall with powerful strands. Leaning in, sniffing at her neck, ignoring the cries and attempt to bite. Long dark hair had fallen from it’s ties, forcing her neck at a strange angle – all the easier. So carefully, now, she sunk her fangs in. Venom – she had several, of course, but Bhakiss was careful, making sure to only drip the most potent of aphrodisiac into her system. The orc cried out, of course, in terror – unaware of what a beautiful thing was about to occur. As she drew back, stroking her hands over that face again, the drider chuckled – then turned to sweep away. The exhausted larger one was easy enough to move, no fight left – and she was strung up onto the opposite wall. The spider queen had been so kind to her… so very kind.
They were both dosed; by the time she had gotten the second to the wall, her hair lighter and fairer, her complexion softer, the first one was starting to pant. Flushing. So much interesting variation in these soft creatures… it was a fascination to her. But the needs were becoming hard to ignore, and she could not hold on much longer – this blessing would have to be taken, as greedily as she would, for why would she have been given it if not to grasp firm? Carefully, she began to peel away the webs on the slighter one. Panting now, and yet still trying to yell, to complain, to fight …
“Ascen, are you – are you okay?” the larger one called, breathless herself. Their words were something she barely recognised any more, but it was a language that they had spoken regularly, once. A foggy, distant, unimportant memory. “I’m burning,” Ascen called back, gasping, “I can’t think – so hot -”
“I’m going to get us – out of here,” the larger groaned, clearly losing her own fight, and the drider hissed her own laugh. The leather armour was falling away so easily with the swipes of her claws – baring the underclothes, and then, with a well placed snip – it all fell away. Tight little breasts, held usually so far away – strange, fascinating things. And her hole, already dripping and ready, shining with fluid, catching in her soft hairs. Yes… good. Bhakiss leant down, licking a stripe across her taut belly. Strong, yes, and soon to be swollen…
“You are… a good toy. A great blessing. You will sing the praises of the Spider Queen for me.” she rasped. She couldn’t wait any longer. The other was crying out behind her, as she lifted her body up – the immense spider abdomen hanging easily on the wall. Her ovipositor, unable to be contained, had slipped out; dripping and oozing with it’s own heavy slick and aphrodisiac. It wasn’t ready to release cargo just yet, and whilst it ran like a hose, long, slender, rubbery and ridged, it would fit easily inside the orc. She slapped it down against her swollen lips, causing a rough gasp from Ascen. Followed swiftly by a moan, and oh, yes, what music, as the laden tool stroked it’s aphrodisiac into her most sensitive skin. Unable to see, it took a few long moments before she finally drove home – and the orc howled in pleasure. Gutteral at the end, body trying to buck despite how well attached it was to the wall. A few well placed thrusts, and Bhakiss was panting herself, feeling as that thick pussy sucked down every inch of her length. It must be pushing her to the limit, and oh, what a gift, what a beautiful gift – she began to move, a steady but rough pace, feeling the squirming orc below her.
She had to remember not to break this one too thoroughly; if they were too full, after all, they would not be able to walk away to spread her young…
The cries had turned into moans behind her; squirms and whines of frustration. Trapped as she was, after all, the larger of the orcs would be unable to pleasure herself, relieve any of the deep burning. She must be so jealous of this toy, the one now singing so very beautiful as Bhakiss kept up each rolling movement, immense abdomen bouncing, body building up. Like a kiss from her Goddess, pleasure flowed through every inch of her form – and her tool began to thicken. It was spreading, and the orc was howling as she clenched, and then stretched, and couldn’t clench any more, as every inch of the thick ovipositor was pushing to her limits. The trembles in her body uncontrollable, and the drider felt a wave of joy herself – that she had given such a great feeling to her toy. It would take well, yes.
And now her mind hazed, clawed hands gripping the wall, as the first wave rolled down. Thick cream and sticky goo – a gentle bed for her young. Ascen cried out, twitching – her back not arching, for it could not, but instead, each pulse stretching her. Turning muscles to soft curves; filling her belly. And then the next wave began. She must be most careful, here; each deserved their share. The grunts and moans matched the noises from her toy; the tennis ball sized egg rolling down, a hold, and then a pop, pressure releasing – and over, and over, and over again. Each egg slithering down to where she had kissed their womb, and settling inside. The moans had become jumbled pleas, for more, for release, for everything. Yes, the goddess would be so very happy with her loyal servant…
Sliding out, slowly, her member drooled onto the floor; a quick wad of web, sealing off to make sure not a single egg would get loose. Not that Ascen was in any way able to object, now; eyes glazed, body twitching as she rode the utter joy of being filled. Halting only to gently carress and lay a swift kiss on that swollen orb, the drider turned to her other. There would be less build up here, because her body was trembling with holding back, but it mattered little. Rough slashes to release her from clothes, and the orc was shaking violently, her hole so wet and ready that long strands were already falling; the webbing had become slick rather than sticky. When the drider sunk all the way in one move, she howled with the sensation, legs jerking. Leaning down, Bhakiss stroked her claws over that flushed, glazed, most beautiful of faces.
“Yes. Sing. Sing your love to the spider Goddess.” she murmured. The drooling words were barely lucid, but she rocked, feeling the worship within them. Oh, yes. Yes. Her cock was already swelling, filling, it’s thick goo tumbling out, eggs already loosening onto it, more wild and haphazard as she thrust, hard enough to bounce the orc against the web that held her. Rough fucking, feeling her ovipositor catch on a swollen clit, both of them moaning and begging and pleading to her queen together as the rest of her cargo fell out. Packing and swelling and growing, every one sunk deep and then, finally, with a shudder, she realised… she was empty. Tender abdomen twitched, claws struggling to grip onto the rock, a few final thrusts to send waves of raw joy through her… and she slid to the ground, ovipositor slipping loose, slowly withdrawing to her body. She leant in, kissing the orb that hung in front of her, stretched and reddened green skin. Such life squirmed within…
“Oh, Goddess,” she mumbled, thickly. “Thank you… for this blessing…” on shaking legs, she climbed again, settling heavily onto her resting web. Her body ached in the most wonderful ways. Her toys moaned, singing so gently for her as their brains began to drop to sleep too, packed and lost in orgasmic pleasure. In the morning, she would release them to waddle their way back to the underdark… lay her eggs in the soft dark places… and maybe this time, some of them would hatch…

Twelve weeks pregnant
“I knew it! I knew something was up with the two of you!” Shadowheart was practically out of her seat as she spoke. “I just didn’t know it was his. I thought the two of you just got a segregate or something.”
“We're going to be an aunt and Uncle Wyll, isn’t it amazing!” Karlach released the hold she had on herself and let her excitement spring free. Shaking Wyll like he was a rag doll.
“Yes, that is amazing, Karlach dear, but could you stop shaking me? I fear I’m going to be sick.” At his words, Karlach stopped shaking him, and he placed one hand on the table and one on his stomach to try and stop the room from spinning.
“That…That’s amazing, you two.” Gale looked positively shocked. “I just have a few questions, if you don’t mind.” The others nodded in unison.
After what seemed like hours of being questioned by your friends, the food was finally served. Gale had spared no expense for the meal, crafting each dish so that everyone had what they wanted and what they would enjoy the most. You sliced into a relatively rare steak and watched as the red blood covered your plate, causing you to salivate. Your pregnancy cravings had two settings, sweet and bloody; there was no in-between.
When you took a rather large bite, Gale started to ask more questions. He was always searching for knowledge, and the topic of vampire children was something that was yet to be covered majorly. It felt like he was entirely too interested and asking far too many questions so he could publish a book on the topic and be credited as the one who found out how it was done.
“Tell me again, how exactly did you manage this astounding feat?” Gale had a large glass of red wine beside him and began slicing into his own dinner that you had no doubt paired nicely with his steak.
“When a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, they…” Astarion spoke for you while your mouth was full of meat and blood.
“Asatrion, I know how sex works. What I want to know is how her fey blood allowed your seed to impregnate her.” Gale looked at Astarion, not too pleased to be getting a talking to about the birds and the bees.
“We don’t know, maybe since he’s also technically still a high elf, my ovaries allowed it.”  You said after you swallowed your mouth full of steak. “What we do know is I’m pregnant, it's his, and I’m a walking miracle.”
“I can see why you kept this a secret. There’s no telling what would happen if people found out what you were carrying.”Glae took a small bite of his food.
“What do you mean?” You placed your knife and fork on your plate.
“I only mean that vampires aren’t people's cup of tea usually. And there's a reason why there is not a lot of knowledge about half vampire half humanoid children….” Gale hesitated, not wanting to go on.
“And why is that?” Astarion stared at Gale, a challenge in them.
“They’re hailed as being unholy abominations and killed…” Gale looked down at his plate, not wanting to meet yours or Astarion’s eyes.
“We won’t let that happen! Aunty K and Uncle Wyll will not let that happen.” Karlach slammed her fist on the table.
“No, we will not.” Wyll echoed his wife's sentiment. “We will just have to keep the fact that they are Half-vampires a secret. How is it that people normally find out the parentage?”
“Other vampires, usually it’s almost as if they can smell it.” They all looked at Astarion.
“We can. There’s a particular odor that goes with the undead. I hide mine because I can’t stand the smell.” Astarion looked at you, noting the color that had drained from your face. “We can do the same for our child, dear.”
You reached for Astarion’s hand under the table, and he did the same. This opened up a whole new fear. Maybe if you moved out of the city, that would lessen your chances of being discovered. Though, as far as you knew, the last vampire to grace the city was Cazador, and since then, it had just been Astarion these last fifty years. He never mentioned smelling another vampire.
“There hasn’t been another vampire in Baldur’s gate since Cazador… right?” You looked at Astarion.
“No, I don’t know why usually there is always a vampire lord in a large city. Maybe they are afraid after what happened to the last one.” You saw his eyes glaze over, going a thousand realms away, and squeezed slightly. He returned the squeeze, gently glancing at you sideways and sending you a small smile.
“What about the rest of the population?” Shadowheart spoke up. “Are they going to be a threat?”
“Astarion walks around, and normal people can’t tell he’s a vampire… Well, unless they look at his teeth.” Gale said as he tilted his head.
Astarion flashed him his best shit-eating grin.”It took you all days before you realized, and it was only because this one woke up and caught me.” He gestured towards you.
“Then we should be fine. They probably won’t have long fangs like Astarion, and we’ll teach them not to go around biting people unless they deserve it.” You picked up your glass of blood and blueberry juice and took a long swallow. The blood and juice mixture coating your tongue and filled your belly.
“I should have known you weren’t drinking wine this whole time.” Shadowheart picked up her own glass. “I can smell the blood from here.”
“Yeah, all the signs were there, but at the time, none of you knew Astarion had it in him to knock me up.” You smiled at Astarion as he glared at you.
“I was always more than capable. I just didn’t know I could, and if I did, I would have been trying a lot harder to do so all these years.”  He pulled your hand to his lips and kissed the ring that he had placed on your finger earlier that day.
You felt your face grow hot as you thought about all the ways he would prove that to be true. Every night, a different position, and every night, you would scream his name in ecstasy. Astarion could sense your arousal and mouthed one word in response. Later.
“You two are disgusting.” Shadowheart took a long drink of her wine.
“And you’re just jealous you don’t have someone to make love to.” Astarion’s eyes didn’t break from yours. “This child will be loved and protected. I can promise you that no one will harm them or you for as long as I still draw breath.”
“Fuck.” You cursed as his decoration of love and devotion to you and your child only stoked the fire growing in you more.
The others looked away, looking as if they wanted to be anywhere but where they were now.
“If the two of you are going to…. I gave you a private room for a reason… Please use it.” Gale pushed his plate away.
“Oh, we’ve already broken in the room, Gale.” Astarion stood up slowly. “One thing you can write about if you are going to publish a book about vampire humanoid babies is that the hormones the mate gives off are simply irresistible.”
“Don’t call me your mate; that's creepy and weird.” You stood along with him. “We’re not animals.”
“No but we Certainly act like we are in heat.”
Astarion extended his hand to you, and taking it, he led you towards the stairs. You twisted your fingers in with his, creating a weave that even Mystra couldn’t untangle. The hormones racing through you felt as if someone had placed a lust curse on you. Every inch of you buzzed with the need to have Astarion touch you, taste you and have him fill you.
“See you all in the morning. Don’t wait up.” Astarion said as he moved up the stairs towards your room.
You and Astarion made your way toward the room that neither one of you would be leaving the rest of the night. Reaching the stairs, you slowly made your accent, the wetness between your legs growing slicker as you thought about everything you wanted him to do to you. Astarion looked at you sidelong, and you saw that he was doing the same. You peered down to see his length straining against his pants.
“Don’t you wish you could not wear pants to Astarion?” You turned your focus back to traversing the stairs, your legs growing weak from your thoughts.
“I’m not sure the others would have liked me coming down for dinner in nothing but what the gods gave me.” He said as you made it to the top of the stairs just down the hall from your room.
“Probably not.” You turned the corner, now entirely out of sight from the others. “But maybe n…”
You were cut off as Astarion pinned you against the wall, his body flush against yours. his erection pushing into you. You moaned as his lips collided with yours, and his tongue entered your mouth. doing a full sweep of the area before pulling out and biting your lower lip. He let go and looked at you hungrily.
“Gods, you smell delicious, my love.” His teeth moved down to your neck but paused just short of taking a bite. “And you tasted divine earlier.”
You could feel his fangs on your neck just above your skin, primed and ready to sink in if only you asked. You turned your head to the side to give him a better angle. He still hesitated. His hot breath came out in short bursts on your neck, and you could sense his animalistic need to feed.
“Is it because you bit me earlier? Is that why you won’t bite me now.” You pulled back, no longer feeling his teeth or breath on your neck. Placing your hand on the side of his face, you forced him to look at you. His eyes were dilated. “What if I feed from you first?”
“That would work.” He turned his neck towards you, giving you the left side of his neck. The one you bit a few weeks prior.
“Not out here.” You grabbed his hand once again and led him to your room, shutting the door behind you and locking it.
Astarion stood in the middle of the room, looking at you in anticipation. You stared back at him, not knowing what to do. The last time, it was rough and full of need. This time, you wanted it to be a little different.
You pulled off your dress, exposing your body to him, not breaking eye contact, but for the split moment, the gown went over your eyes. Astarion drank you in, looking up and down as he took in your naked form. He moved to touch you, and you put your hand up.
“You too, Astarion. Get naked.”
Astarion gave you a cheeky smile as he pulled off his doublet, then his shirt, boots, and then his pants, making sure that they would be last. His length sprang free, and you felt yourself grow even hotter as you drank in his form. He did an added spin for good measure, letting you see all of him.
“If our child has half of both our good looks, then they’re going to have an easy life.”Astarion’s fingers shook as he spoke. He longed to touch you but waited for you all the same.
“Sit down on the bed, Astarion.” He did as you asked.
You walked over and sat on his lap, your button sitting between his legs so that both your legs were hanging over his right leg. You kissed just under his left jawline, and you felt his length stiffen more as it sat against your leg. You trailed light kisses down to his neck just by his jugular, paying extra attention to that area.
“Are you teasing me, or have you lost your nerve to bite me?” Astarion sounded out of breath.
“Patients Astarion.” You placed your teeth on his skin like had done to you earlier when he was fighting his instincts to bite you. “Good things come to those who wait.”
At that, you sunk your teeth in, breaking the skin and feeling his hot blood enter your mouth. He flung his head back and moaned as your tongue probed and sucked the holes you made in his skin. You sucked until you couldn’t taste his blood anymore on your tongue, pulling away from his skin with a pop.
Astarion moved his head to look at you. This was only the second time you had bitten him, and from the look on his face, it would not be the last. He grabbed and twisted you so that you now laid on the bed with your legs between his and them hanging slightly off the bed. He placed a hard, needy kiss against your lips and slid his tongue into your mouth once more.
“The taste of me on your tongue is something I want to taste every day, my love.” He broke the kiss. “And it’s time I returned the favor.
He moved to your neck, wasting no time as he sunk his fangs into your skin. You gasped, Since being pregnant, this is one thing that you missed the most. The feeling of his fangs in you as he sucked blood from your veins was simply erotic, and you could see why there were so many erotic novels about vampires.
You reached your hand down to find his hard length, taking it in your hand and pumping it slowly. Astarion moaned into your neck as he sucked more of your blood out and into him. You wrapped your legs around his waist and used your hand to place him at your entrance. Arching your hips slightly, he slid into you, and Astarion gasped, pulling away from your neck.
“Don’t stop.” You said as you angled your neck to give him a better angle. “Feed and Fuck Astarion.”
“Gods, I love you.”
Astarion’s fangs sunk back into your neck and, as he did, started a slow, lazy thrust of his hips in and out of you. The feeling of his fangs in you, taking your blood, and the feeling of his length taking his pleasure sent you close to the edge. You moaned his name as his slow, lazy thrusts turned into harder, needier thrusts.
He pulled his fangs from your neck, not waiting to drink too much, just taking as much as you took from him. Astarion hooked his hands under your knees, allowing you to rest them as he thrusted into you harder. Pulling almost entirely out before slamming back into you. You moved your hand to your now swollen and sensitive clit, rubbing circles and allowing your climax to grow faster.
You looked at the holes you made in his neck and thought about the hole in yours that would match the thought pushing you over the edge of your climax. As you moaned, his name Astarion soon followed after the mix of you tightening around him and his name on your lips being too much for him to contain himself. You felt him fill you fully as he still thrusted his length inside you, milking his own orgasm to completion.
“We should definitely get into the practice of trying to make children,” Astarion said as he leaned down to kiss you. “I have never seen you so aroused.”
He placed a hard kiss on your lips. “I agree; how many do you want? three ? four?Though it took us fifty years to conceive this one.”
This child was a miracle in itself; truth be told, you weren’t sure Astarion and yourself could handle more than one child. Let alone this one.
“True.“ He was grinning ear to ear. “But we can sure try.”

Note
How do you think the Dragon Age Inquisition advisors and companions would react to Child Inquisitor being the child of the Champion of Kirkwall? Also could you make Fenris the child Inquisitor's father?
Cassandra: This is...problematic.
Varric had told her enough of the Champion's husband to know that Fenris will already be desperately hunting for his child, and the Champion...so much of their family is lost, it is unthinkable that Hawke will not be in the same state. Trying to convince them both that the inquisition has not kidnapped their offspring for political reasons will require all the tact she does not have.
And will rely on the very little goodwill she can wring from Varric, who she technically did kidnap for political reasons. She will need to keep Josephine close by at all times.
Solas: For so young a child, the dalen is already a political firestorm waiting to happen. The guilt he carries from having his magic stitched into their very flesh (and the pain this child is feeling from it) was already enough to convince him to stay, but being so close to the power center of both Inquisition and the Champion of Kirkwall is an unexpected boon. He will keep his finger on the pulse of all things anchor related, and keep himself close to the actions that are working to restore Thedas to order.
And by helping this child now, keep himself on the right side of a very angry elf who might be a problem before the Dread Wolf has his power returned.
Varric: Okay so, here’s the most important thing: he should have known.
Logically there is no way that Varric Tethras-Kirkwall’s author in residence and nominally a captive of the Right Hand of the Divine- could have known that the child of his best friend in the entire world had somehow snuck away from home AND traveled halfway across the blessed world AND infiltrated a highly secure theo-political conclave designed to reign in a burgeoning civil war to enact some sort of temporary peace. He has contacts and resources and keeps an ear to the ground, but that doesn’t mean the Merchant’s Guild can tell him everything the minute it happens.
And yet the fact that a child exists in the world who is half Fenris (impulsive and quick to defend what is his) Hawke (and carries the legacy of that family) really does mean that there wasn’t anywhere else they’d end up. It’s not a comfort to Varric when the Seeker and his best friend’s kid crest the hill toward them, but it certainly changes his standing with the Inquisition. So long as the kid is there Varric’s not leaving-- he owes Hawke at least that much and more. One way or another things are going to have to be put to rights.
Blackwall: Once, as another man in another life, his actions had led to the death of four children. Even then, in the height of his arrogance and conceit, Thom Rainier had stood over those small shrouded forms and would have given his own life a hundred times over to spare them. Nothing could have brought them back, of course, and no matter how many times he had knelt before Andraste's statues and begged for Her forgiveness it was not a burden he could lay down himself.
This child, Andraste's herald or not, is not a replacement for Collier's children. Defending their life will not wipe out the debt he owes to that slaughtered family. But as he shoulders his shield and sword in their defense, it just might be a start to that forgiveness.
That will be enough.
Vivienne: Children are not in a Circle mage's destiny, no matter how high her star may climb. The dreams of children with her perfect bone structure and Bastien's eyes will forever be only that. Madame de Fer has come to accept this, has spent her entire life accepting this. If she is softer with the new apprentices newly torn from their families, more patient with the young mages still struggling with a life behind walls, that is no one business but her own.
The Herald of Andraste is a child. No matter their illustrious parentage or the fame carried by those parents, they are too young to be bandied about as some sort of divine tool to rescue the world. The Game has no minimum age, of course, and Vivienne is not naive enough to think that Hawke's offspring will not have to play it in time, but she will be taking special care to to keep both eyes on the child to whom they will ask so much of.
And a sharper eye on those who would use them. Fenris is not the only one who can glow, when needed.
Sera: Little people need looking out for, and not much littler than a sprog. From the first jump their tiny Herald has an ever devoted guardian, one who ensures there is as much fun as serious herald business, and cookies for all.
When the parents do eventually arrive, her general distrust of all things magic and ardent desire to preserve their childhood will endear her to Fenris like none other in the Inquisition. Someone must look out for the little people, and while their methods are not the same each can respect the other.
Dorian: Vishente Kaffas, this is a child. In the light of that discovery a great many of his opinions on Alexius's plans (mostly on how his mentor is simply desperate to save Felix and not thinking clearly) and brutally altered. This man who wants to murder someone hardly old enough to see over the table is not the man he once knew, and there are no excuses he can make that will make it less barbaric.
By the time they are escaped from that terrible Not-Future Dorian has formed a trauma bond with this young person as profound as any he has known, and their safety is now absolutely his priority. Despite his disinclination for their creation Dorian is not opposed to children, and along with others is very content to take over their education in all things both mundane and magical.
Fenris's arrival is still loud and bright and involves quite a few angry comments between former slave and not yet magister, but in the end Dorian's unshirking resolve toward the young Herald will carry the day. When Fenris eventually finds out that his child is set to inherit Dorian's seat in the Magisterium as the heir to the current Pavus heir, that argument will be even louder.
Iron Bull: The Qun is very clear on the care and feeding of children in their charge, and it has never been in his destiny to be a Tamassran. Nor is the Iron Bull ignorant of the identity of the Inquisitors parents. But seeing how small the Herald is, something deep and protective in the mercenary captain surprises even himself.
(His Tama is both surprised and not to get a letter from her former charge, and if her memories of the little boy hold true he will read her meaning in the otherwise clinical advise on the care and keeping of young children.)
Watching the Chargers adopt the little Herald as one of their own has another lasting effect. There is no decision on the Storm Coast, not with this true understanding o family, and in truth Bull was lost to the Qun long before Gatt came south with an unbeatable test.
Cole: "So young, so bright, wanted to come south to find Uncle Varric, never meant to hurt anyone. You just wanted to help, to heal the hurt and make it whole. I want that too!"
The innocent and ardent desire of children to do good, and the boundless compassion that comes with youth, makes the Herald and Cole perfect companions. This friendship is strained by the arrival of Fenris's Anders driven loathing of abominations, but a more patient Hawke might ease the way there.
Josephine: She has younger siblings, and is currently responsible for the fate of House Montiliyet. The care and feeding of one small child is...well, child's play. If only Cassandra would not keep pulling her aside like some talisman against the Champion of Kirkwall.
If it were less entertaining, their ambassador might have informed the Seeker that her letters to Aveline Vallen have already abated much suspicion...
Leliana: There are one or two amongst her agents who have some experience with children, and she assigns them watch over their Herald. Beyond that, the spymaster keeps a distance. A child need not know all the brutal things done to keep the world turning. That is sacrifice enough.
If, every once in a while, the young herald is soothed after a nightmare with Ferelden lullabyes in an Orlesian accent, few are brave enough to share it.
Cullen: Maker's breathe, he'd thought he left Kirkwall behind him. Like Leliana he assigns soldiers who either are parents or who are good with children to keep a weather eye on the child, and adopts Cassandra's strategy of using Josephine as a shield against Champion and/or Lyrium Ghost rage.
Once was enough.

Galicaea murdered Cassandra and Sol murdered Ankarna - which is why Kipperlilly Did That
We learned in Revelations and Revivifications (Episode 11 of Season 2) that it was her Clerics from Fallinel who murdered Cassandra. That's just straight up a fact. Now, we don't know exactly what her role in this is but, "As Above, So Below." If Galicaea's top priests are making this move, then Galicaea was down with it.
I've heard a lot of people refer to the wolf aspect as if it was some 'real' version of the faith that's been corrupted. It isn't, it's an Older aspect and its one that Tracker and Co. love a lot more but both of them are a result of worship.
We learned about this 'Last Great Sylvan War' around 900 years ago about the proper way to worship Cassandra. While the High Elves who settled it went with "Erase the goddess - to understand mystery is a heresy," I'm guessing they also heavily influenced the Wood Elf/Non-High Elf variant of Galicaea into being more in line with their version. Obviously a remnant survived in folk religion like with Tracker and other Werewolf communities, her revival reveals that prior to her, there hasn't been any serious challange to Falinel statement.
I think that then Sol started marching North. Gallicaea had claimed Night as hers and hers alone, by deceiving their shy and naive sister and then went to finish the job with Ankarna. But her? No way they could convince Ankarna to kill herself, especially now that her sister was 'dead' (Cassandra technically managed to live via the Quasi-Reality inside of Sylvaire, Kristen more redefined her and allowed her to be alive outside of the Nightmare Forest).
So I think that the Human Priests of Highcourt and the Elves of Fallinel agreed to wipe them out. Sol's paladins burnt their way up the coast and conquered it - we know that the land of Elmville is native Halfling territory, but right next to it is the Mountains of Chaos which was, in my opinion, their true target. Sol wanted the aspects like Conviction, Fire, Rage, Etc. while he gave Helio Summer.
Meanwhile, Ankarna? Her turning Infernal wasn't something done to her, it was something she/her priests did. Why would they do that? Because they're being invaded. The Giants probably took on a more leadership based roll compared to the far less capable to defend themselves Halflings, Goblins, Aaracockra, arguably even Orcs. Turning more and more evil, brutal, and extreme is a result of her being back further and further into a corner. It was a defense of the other races and for her own life.
I think that, while adventuring in the Mountains of Chaos for Spring Break, the Rat Grinders found out about Ankarna's priests and believers being wiped out, maybe one of her ancinet and long forgotten temples. That was it and it would have been it, if Kipperlilly didn't learn about Cassandra. I think her sheer, burning jealousy made her want, above anything else, to bring back a Goddess herself.
And her solution was going to be Lucy Frostblade. And for about two weeks, Ankarna was brought back with Lucy being her sole worshipper. And this is what I think happened next: sweet, kind, Lucy Frostblade's Ankarna wouldn't be the warlike aspect. She'd be like how she was before the Humans and Elves attacked, a kind and loving goddess.
Except there's a problem. There's another worshipper - just one.
Jace Stardiamond, draining power from the corpse of the long dead war goddess.
So, he and Kipperlilly somehow get in contact (my money is through Oisin secretly being a sorceror the whole time and just Acing wizard classes with 0 effort) and together they agree there's only one solution - kill Lucy Frostblade so their version of Ankarna can remain. The High Five Heroes kill Lucy and all begin worhsipping Ankarna (all under the influence of Devil's Honey.) Kipperlilly, Oisin and Mary Anne are all in on it (symbolized by their Blue backgrounds) but Ivy and Rueben refuse to go along with the murder but, since they're not in the way, they're able to be devil's honeyed into not knowing (Symbolized by their red background).
Ivy's weird reaction to Fig? She always 'knew' that Lucy was alive - she's not important to the plan anyways, so she doesn't need to be included. Some random lie is fed to Ivy to explain why Lucy isn't recognized as 'dead.' Reuben though? Kipperlilly can still use Reuben - use him to proselytize and spread the word of Ankarna - so not only does he need to be aware of the details around Lucy's death and all the Ankarna stuff, he also can't know the Ratgrinders killed her. He clearly still thinks highly of her - I think that vomitting the 'blood' in his dream was Fig breaking the Devil's Honey barrier in his mind.
Which is why, as Gertie told us, Kipperlilly ordered two bottles RIGHT after break. They need to keep him in line with the plan.
Jace changed the records in the school so that Yolanda never realized that she switched gods from Ruvina, and used his own spells to fuck with the name and hidden it (clearly there's a difference between the rune on the paper, which no one could read, and the translated version in Fallinel which has been sat for a thousand plus years), and did the same to the body. Yolanda, trusting him as Vice Principal, tells him about her fears, he goes with her into the woods and then instantly kills her in the clearing.
The plan is to take Ankarna from the Dead/Undead form (but now conscious thanks to their efforts) back to being actually alive via a Cleric believing in her.
Of course, in the mean time they need a Cleric. Make him expendable, but still useful. Make the cleric be a Priest of Helio or Sol so that they can kill him, immediately planeshift into Heaven behind him, eliminate his soul and then Oisin and Kipperlilly sneak into the office and bring back the Goddess. In fact, I bet they're gonna fling Buddy Dawn's soul into the void and using the death of a cleric of Helio, Ankarna will return. Killing Buddy was the act of Conquest they needed.
Rueben is obviously in doubt, trying to get help from his Uncle (skipping Forest Animal Murdering and asking for a ride home?), but I think Oisin is in it for the power. Mary Anne is a Kobold, and I think Oisin's Grandma is the dragon her tribe is sworn to so she just follows him around.
I don't think any part of Jace Stardiamond's section of the plan, the bit about the return of Ankarna, has anything to do with Kipperlilly running for preisdent or their quest against the bad kids. Killing Buddy in the Last Stand was just a conveint series of events but as Brennan said in the adventuring party - it looked like killing Buddy was already on the table. That wasn't a freak out move, it was on the agenda, she just wasn't there yet.
For the Presidency, unlike the Ankarna plot where only Oisin and Stardiamond are conspirators, all the Rat Grinders are in on it because they all seem to have personal beef. Except for Oisin and Mary Anne, who seem to be fine with the Bad Kids as a whole, just still on Kipperlilly's team for the race.
For that, Kipperlilly frames the Loams for embezzling, pocketing the money, and then using Ankarna's nightmare king form to kill the Loams when it looked like she was being to thoroughly looked at. Now she has money for both Schemes and the Campaign. Stardiamond tells Reuben to move Frostfaire to the Thistlepsing Tree (just to fuck with the ground and, if I had to guess, be the reason why Gorgug has been getting angrier and angrier as the season's gone on. Specifically, he seemed to really 'Get Mad!' when fighting Grix).
Kipperlilly knows about Buddy's grandpa so after Yolanda gets killed by Jace, Kipperlilly tells Buddy to ask his grandpa to apply while Jace puts the question to Mazey (a decision he should've made himself, to be honest). Bobby's here just to get Kristen expelled, and when they they decided to take the last stand, she grabbed a Rage Shard, strapped it on an arrow, and aimed it at the proctor.
I think that, as the ultimate 'fuck the bad kids' move, the Proctor would go angry and huge and the party would be forced to kill him. Not only does he die, but they were the ones who killed him which would MURDER their grade. I would guess.
But Kristen saw her, and could prove that another student directly interfered with the test (via undergoing a zone of truth). So instead, Kipperlilly indirectly interferes and puts the 'lets kill Buddy' part of the Main Plan into effect. Probably would have happened anyways (they're in a pocket dimension alone, great time to kill a man tbh)

In a attempt to be a inclusive of everyone’s needs as possible Jawbone has turned room near the into only food storage there are areas for each races needs and dietary requirements along with areas in them if someone other needs.
There are also areas for common residents of the manor (non manorling bad kids)
Half orc area (Gorgug and the Barkrock)
Mainly meats and other high protein foods
Stocked by Lydia in an attempt to help Gorgug as he eats “too little”
Goblin area (Riz)
90% coffee
Sklonda also stocks it in an attempt to feed Riz some non coffee based foods.
Human area (Kristen, Tracker and Jawbone)
Stocked by Jawbone and Kristen.
What you would expect in the average home
Werewolf area (Tracker and Jawbone)
Stocked by Jawbone
Contains raw meats and dog treats for tracker ( Jawbone has tried to stop Trackrr eating them but can’t)
Infernal (originally tiefling but had to be changed as Fig became more devil than teifling) (Fig)
Stocked by FUg with the help of Gorthalax getting things she can’t
Hell based spices
Whatever hell based food Fig is trying this week
Elf (Adaine, Aelwyn, Sandra lynn)
Stocked by all three members
Similar to the human area but with stupid amounts of fallinel teas that Adaine and Aelwyn drink
Half-elf (Fabian)
Mainly snacks for when he is staying there and for movie nights
Fig steals from this one claiming that she is technically a half elf too. Fabain pretends to hate it but really doesn’t mind
Ghost (Zayn)
Stocked by Jawbone with items from Zayn’s requests
Ghost foods
Half phoenix (Ayda)
Jawbone added this one after Ayda started spending her not working time at Mordred more often than not
A lot of pirate based foods
Foods Ayda knows Fig likes as she knows when fig doesn’t like whatever new hell food she’s trying this week she doesn’t have much else in for herself
In the manor it is practically a crime to steal someone else food and they all respect this apart from fig with Fabian’s.
This system has tripped up guests on many occasions when they accidentally open the wrong cupboard and are slightly confused why it’s only coffee in there.
Stealing food is not allowed but they definitly all share all the time as long as they're asked first. You just have to be careful when choosing snacks out of someone elses area (with permission) because it might be completely unpalatable to your species (or straight up inedible, many a manor resident has accidentally got food poisoning by sampling something they shouldnt).
Human food is the safest, because humans have THE blandest pallet and zero resistances to anything (tracker and jawbone have to stay away from the chocolate, grapes and onions though, they're very allergic).
Elven food is usually fine too, but some of the snacks have weird little magical effects for the 'aesthetics' that interact weirdly with some species. Gorgug had some sort of fancy fairy-bread, and was hiccuping butterflies made of bubbles for three hours afterwards (which was weird, it was SUPPOSED to make your hair change colour for a while before turning back to normal. Adaine wrote the manufacturer a letter stating that there should really be a warning on the label). Adaines cupboard is also stocked with little biscuits she made for fun. People are free to take a few but always try to save some just in case Aelwyn comes to visit.
Gorgug, Rahg and Riz are not allowed to share any of their food that has mushrooms in it except with eachother, especially if its something that has been specifically made for their species (goblin made cured meats are delicious but some species just cant handle a little toadstool). Some of the stuff they can eat is straight up toxic.

Sleeping Beauty | Chapter 1
Read on AO3 [x]
Pairing: Thranduil/Fem Reader Summary: A Sleeping Beauty inspired tale with Thranduil the Elvenking, and a female elf living in Mirkwood under the care of Radagast, who is actually the 'lost' daughter of the late High King Gil-Galad. Note: This is x reader but I have given ‘you’ a name. Also I needed Radagast for this story but I think technically she’d have been born before he even arrived but let’s just ignore that. If you’d like to be tagged in future chapters let me know. Translations: lothíriel (flower-garlanded maiden) anarórë (sunrise) vanwa (lost) aranel (princess) melui (lovely)
Tumblr media
“Lothíriel!” Radagast cried out the nickname he had called you since you were but a babe in his arms, standing at the door of his little cottage deep in the forest of Mirkwood. His fingers curled around his wooden staff as he looked this way and that, brows furrowed with just the mildest hint of frustration. He was rather used to this song and dance by now. You would seemingly go missing from right under his large nose, sneaking off through the trees to mingle with the wildlife and sing to the flowers. You were a daughter of the forest, sure enough, and there was seemingly nothing that Radagast could do to keep you in check. Not that he would ever wish to dampen your spirit or dim your light, but it was his job to keep you safe and sound, after all. Keep you... hidden.
A great many years had passed since the days when this task had been appointed to him. Since that fateful day of your birth in Lindon when the Enchantress had dared show her face, laying ruin to all that could have been for you. Then the darker days that followed still. The Last Alliance. Your father, High King Gil-Galad, being slain by Sauron himself, alongside King Oropher. Dark days, indeed.
You knew nothing of any of this and that was how Radagast intended to keep it. For now. You were i vanwa aranel, as the tales told, the lost princess... and you needed to remain that way for at least another thousand years or so yet. When the full danger of the Enchantress was no longer a danger to you.
“Anarórë!” Radagast called again, using the name that you had been given just before being smuggled from Lindon under the cover of darkness. Your name was the only thing your father had been able to give you and he had gifted you the name that his beloved Queen had longed to bestow upon you - naming you after her most favourite time of day - before she was killed by the evil Enchantress that was to blame for your being out here and not in the halls of a palace as was your birthright.
“Ooh!” Radagast shook his head, turning to the bird on his shoulder with a worried expression as he heaved a sigh. He was always prone to concern, especially when you were not within his line of eyesight. “Now where has she gotten to!”
Tumblr media
You were rather far away from the cottage where you had grown up, and from your uncle Radagast, whom you loved with your entire being but who could at times, to be quite frank, drive you rather mad. He made such a big deal of keeping you safe but some days it could feel like you were suffocating. Like treading water and never being able to move forwards. Some days it seemed that he would have enchanted the cottage to keep you inside at all times if he could. Still, you knew that he simply loved you and wished to keep you from harm.
The Greenwood was beginning to change, even you could feel that. There were pockets of thick, suffocating darkness and you could have sworn that once you saw a spider. Not just any spider but the largest spider you had ever seen in your whole life. It was said that the Elvenking was preparing to lead his people further north across the forest river due to this growing shadow.
Despite being an elf yourself, you had never met any of the wood elves that lived under the Elvenking’s rule. In truth, you did not even know the King’s name. You had watched a few of them in secret but you had never dared approach them. Radagast had always explicitly told you never to speak to strangers and something about the look in his eyes made you realise that he had some genuine reason and you followed that rule rather explicitly.
Still, you did not understand why, for how could you? How could you know that evil could take the fairest of forms to trick you into its clutches? How could you know that such evils were indeed looking for you? Actively seeking you out all over this world and had been since your birth? Radagast kept your history from you to keep you safe. As far as anybody need know, you were naught but a simple elf-maid dwelling beneath the trees of the Greenwood.
Still, it could be lonely, and you often imagined yourself outing your own presence and being welcomed into the fray of others of your kind. You adored your uncle, you truly did, and you loved your life in these woods with the wizard - but some days only conversing and interacting with him and the squirrels could become quite tiresome in a sense.
“Hey!” You laughed, lifting your gaze as a little robin gently tugged on strands of your hair from where it hovered in the air beside your head. Your thoughts melted away as you turned your focus to the little creature, suddenly realising that it was not alone. A group of familiar little animals were lined up on a nearby tree branch, looking down at you rather expectantly.
“There you are!” You chuckled, moving closer and reaching out to run your fingers through some of their fur and feathers. “I was beginning to think that you had all decided to abandon me this day!”
The animals tittered and shifted, little sounds coming from some of them as they shook their heads in dismay, eager to let you know that they would never! This little group of beasts made up some of your closest friends in this wood and a lot of days you would meet them in the clearing and pass your afternoon together.
“Oh, I am only teasing.” You laughed brightly, moving over to sit upon a fallen log, gazing up at the sky.
One of the birds began chirping and you turned to look at them, shaking your head a little as they told you Radagast was looking for you. “Well, I am not ready to go back yet.” You replied. “I have barely been out of the house in the last few days.” Another little chatter from the bird came, telling you he was worried there were strangers in the woods, and you shook your head. “He needn’t bother. Even when there is, I do not approach them. Does he not trust me? Sometimes he treats me as thought I am still a child!”
A soft silence fell upon the clearing, all your little friends looking sad as they contemplated your words, your loneliness. Even they seemed to know that even though you had them, and even though you had Radagast, perhaps it wasn’t always enough.
“Come on now!” You chuckled, brightening a little. “Let us not dwell on all of that. I will go back soon, I promise. He will not start to truly panic for another while yet.” You knew him well enough to know that you had some time to spare before he came charging through the trees with his trusty rabbit sled. “Come, keep me company while I pick some berries. Tonight I am going to make some more cakes!”
Tumblr media
A distance away through the trees, a large brown elk was moving at a gentle trot. Astride him sat a lone rider, shoulders straight and guard up just slightly. His long white hair was cascading down his shoulders, free of any elaborate adornments, and as he rode he looked about him, studying the forest.
King Thranduil was travelling alone, something that he did not always do anymore, but his trusty swords were at his side and he knew that, if necessary, his elk could outrun any dangers that they may come upon. If he did not get them first. There was a shadow falling somewhere, he could sense it, but it was still faint and with any luck it would stay that way.
Thranduil turned his attention to the path ahead of him as he moved through the forest, aware that he would have to turn back soon and return to his realm. There was a lot to do, many preparations to make, however he had been rather needing a little bit of peace and quiet. He could defend himself well enough and it had been some time since he had been able to be truly alone. He had a heavy weight on his shoulders and he had since his father, Oropher, had fallen to Sauron, leaving him to rule. Thus the Prince had become the King overnight and, while Thranduil had often had an urge to flee and hide, it was not a whim that he would give into.
As his elk moved through the trees, Thranduil suddenly became aware of a sound filtering through all the other woodland noises. It wasn’t exactly close by and it appeared to be coming from somewhere to his right, which was not the direction he needed to go, but he found himself pulled towards it somehow.
It was somebody singing, he realised, and he normally would have simply smiled and left them to it but it was such a beautfiful melody, a voice the likes of which he was not sure he had ever heard before in all his years - and Thranduil had heard a lot of singing in his lifetime.
“Melui...” He murmured to himself, lost in the beautiful tune for a few moments before he stirred again and urged his elk to the right, struck by the sudden desire to find whoever could produce such a sweet sound.
“Come on, my friend... this way." He directed to his elk as he gently tugged the reins to redirect the beast, heading off in the direction of the singing, not caring if it was perhaps a little out of his way as his curiosity got the better of him.
His elk snorted, disgruntled at going off track, though it reminded the animal a little of the prince of old and it easily gave in, shaking its large head as it trundled off through the trees in the direction its master commanded.
