I really need to see Billy, child of Fawcett, The magic city, using magic first asking questions later.

Like give me a Batfam adoption fic where billy is terrified of his Gotham family knowing he has magic because Batman *hates* magic and metas, and he doesn't know if other gothamites share the same sentiments.

I really want to see a bruce has to reveal he is Batman before they realize Billy has magic, and billy is just terrified.

"Oh my gods the man who *hates* magic is my adoptive father, there is no possible way he or his family could accept magic into their household" type thoughts, he is completely spiraling and bruce, trying his hardest, reaches out to comfort him.

Billy of course reacts badly, he is used to Fawcett foster families knowing about magic and given his track record of disappearing, most believe he has magic.

If billy wants to escape he has to act fast and act now. If he falters even a second a ward could be placed against him and he will have to fight tooth and nail to escape again. He won't be locked up again.

He throws his hands up as if to block a strike, chants a single incantation, and is gone in a glorious golden spiral. Leaving behind nothing but the last remnants of his too fast breathing and a well-worn backpack that will have nothing in it come morning.

This is an au that @armed-teddy-bear and I came up on the Shazam Fam Discord server.

The "10 year old champion of magic adopts an 1 year old clone" au.

Or:

"Billy Batson doesn't like how Superman treats his test-tube baby and kidnaps him" au

Conner is surprisingly alright with having a 10 year old as dad. He (a 1 year old) is aware that age doesn't mean anything about maturity.

He calls him Dad, even in his downpowered form and tries to be a good boy, out of fear of being abandoned if he where to be bad.

Billy is still his childish, innocent, self but he loves his boy and genuinely tries to help him with his powers. He also has started to dislike superman, as he reminds him a lot of his late uncle.

Superman is a bit worried for his friend, as he still believes that his Clone is a weapon and a danger to society. On the other hand, he is glad that this thing is out of his hand.

Luthor pays the child support.

(The most liked Theory is that Captain Marvel is another Clone of Superman, whilst Billy is Luthors. They are both Conners parents genetics wise and probably feel weird to be around the other one)

Conner also stopped being superboy in favor of becoming "Lieutenant", Captain Marvels side kick.

His new persona also gave him the nickname "Lieu", what allowed him to create a secret identity.

Lieu is a softboy. A kind soul that adores old people and animals. Someone that smiles easily and is extremely emotional.

Conner on the other hand works in an animal shelter and is scary. He has an strong resting bitch face and looks angry all the time.

(The costume was made by an elderly Lady he usually carries to her bingo weekends. Its his most priced possession and nothing pisses him more of than it getting damaged)

Another important thing is that Conner was able to grow into himself because of Billy. He soon learnt that he didn't have to copy someone else to be kept around, so he started expressing himself more.

(His Teammates didn't recognize him when he returned "home". He was the heartthrob for a few months after that. To bad he isn't allowed to date till he reaches double digits.

Hello Billy Batson Fans

I’m looking for that one tumble post that jokes about how Captain Marvel says he draws power from the Greek gods and then lists like 2 Greek gods, 2 Roman gods, and teh 5 most problematic men of the Mesopotamian. And also says taht the reason that he needs to be pure of heart is to counteract the grimyness of the power sources.

For no particular reason, Shazam!: Fury of the Gods came to mind today and I'm not even gonna lie, the lack of Asher Angel in that film still pisses me off to this very day. I don't know whose idea it was to not make Asher Angel a massive focus in that film after his amazing arc in Shazam, but it was a terrible decision and it still shows after all this time considering it's one of the few major issues that immediately stand out when you look back on Shazam!: Fury of the Gods. 

Asher basically was the glue of the first Shazam film considering how great he was as Billy Batson. He was legitimately able to bring out the best in so many characters throughout the first Shazam movie. Plus, I think it's also due to his amazing dynamic with Jack Dylan Grazier (Freddie Freeman) -- which I consider to be the heart and soul of Shazam. It's so frustrating because it was one hell of an avoidable mistake and could've easily allowed the Shazamily to continue forward in the DCU but there's absolutely going to be some sort of changes, considering the massive negative reception Shazam 2 had. What those changes are remains to be seen, obviously.

(spoiler alert, I guess?) There's zero chance that Gunn doesn't immediately address it, considering Shazam was recruited to the JSA in the post-credit scenes by the Peacemaker cast. However, there are definitely gonna be changes with that since Gunn has already confirmed that Peacemaker is affected by The Flash story-wise. So, if there was a change I'd like to see with Shazam and his family going forward in the DCU it's that I want Asher Angel to replace Zachary Levi entirely.

In Shazam 1, Billy Batson was a standout character despite Asher's young age. In Shazam 2, Asher still shined in his very brief moments, like the final moment of Billy saying he loves his mom before the big final fight. So, in my opinion, Asher can easily play Billy Batson in both forms in the DCU like Grace Caroline Currey did with Mary Marvel throughout FOTG. That may be an unpopular opinion and that may be a terrible take due to how marketing works, but after the lack of Asher being a key flaw of Shazam 2 and seeing how bad Zachary Levi was in Shazam 2, I'd take that as a solution any day of the week.

Been wondering what the culture of magic folks is like in DC.

Like with Cap we obviously have the fics or HCs where he hunts for wendigo or joins the great hunt on Halloween or is weary of Fae, Gnomes and Leprechauns. But ehat does that imply about the culture of Prople Of Magic. (Like PoC but PoM) They're obviously going to have a vastly different culture, especially those surrounded by magic. How does this affect the kids who are PoM but not immersed in the culture.

Perhaps Giovanni Zatara believed in the importance of seeming more human as to hide among them and riase Zatanna that way, she didn't get the bed time stories of fae or clever foxes, didn't get the stories of offerings and hospitality towards strangers.

How would Zatanna feel knowing that she was suddenly lacking such an integral part of her. She knows it was for her safety and for easy of fitting in with her more human peers, but she is still missing something.

She is a being of Magic and just as connected to the plights and feelings of that culture, but it has not been ingrained in her. She will not *give* her name to a stranger, but she may hesitate to provide lodging to a strange man cloaked in shadows and glowing faintly gold.

And then this hero pops up, calling himself Captain Marvel, coming from the distinctly Magical Fawcett and boasting stories of hunts and fae dinners, of the kids on the sidewalks playing hopscotch and bouncing past the small Farie circles.

Of every little action having a small sparkle to it. Of kids who aren't even technically magic knowing more about her culture and experiencing more than she ever will be able to.

How does Cap go about involving her in their cultures celebrations without upsetting her father, she so clearly wants to be apart of the maypole ceremony, but the blessings bestowed on the town affect those who complete the dance, but all children of magic and those with connections complete it at least once before they become an adult. And wouldn't that be horrible to find out you missed such an opportunity.
