YOU HAVE A TMNT SHATTERED GLASS AU?!?!
Tumblr media
I DO, I DO! It's been in development for a WHILE now, and I've offhandedly mentioned it once or twice on here. But I never really delved into it lmao
The premise is that the OG turtles get transported into the SG world as a last ditch effort to defeat SG Splinter and save the SG turtles! >:3c
SG lore copy-and-pasted from discord:
So for those unfamiliar with Transformers: Shattered Glass (source material that directly inspired this au); it's an alternate universe where not only the roles of villains/heroes are swapped, but the main personality traits of the individual characters get flipped as well.
For example: in this AU, Bradford would be a genuinely caring, teacher-esque guy who got famous for teaching kids self defense and responsibility with his martial arts skills. The Rat King would still be passionate about rats, but he'd be a behavioral scientist who studies the behaviors and intelligence of domesticated and wild rats in order to beat the stigma against them. Teehee.
I love using the canonical kraang technology and dimensional travel in the show itself, so the main plot is that the OG turtles get isekai'd into the "shattered glass" universe as a last ditch effort made by Good Dad Oroku Saki and Oroku Miwa to save the "evil" turtles and defeat the EVIL YOSHI.
Karai and the turtles' roles are flipped in the SG universe, yes. Miwa sees the turtles as her brothers and wants to save them from her wacky as hell bio dad.
Shenanigans DO HAPPEN because this is post-season 5 for the og turtles, and the awkwardness of cooperating with alternative, good guy versions of your enemies to fight against emo versions of yourselves is... wild. Lol. Teehee. :^))
The flipped personalities are way more obvious with the turtles lol
Leonardo is aloof and slacks off, purposely shoving missions and chores onto his younger brothers. He's also lacking the enthusiasm and passion OG Leo has for his interests. SG Leonardo wears disinterest like a badge of honor, though he's also severely lacking in that as well.
SG Raphael is quiet, a pushover, and is much more emotional than his counterpart. OG Raph covers up his insecurities with snark and anger, SG Raph's an open book and is very easily worked up to the point of blubbering out all his weaknesses to his enemies. He hides behind his brothers in battle until Leo or Donnie makes him fight. Saki and his team avoid fighting Raph for obvious reasons.
SG Donatello is a genius and he knows it, that is why he sabotages his underlings and his two aforementioned brothers. He does not use his brains to make inventions or plan tactics, instead he uses his brains to bully everyone else around him and purposely cause problems. He dangles his intelligence above others in order to make them feel bad, especially if they ever ask him to do something with said intelligence.
SG Mikey spent several years in Dimension X on a mission for Splinter, he is now several years older than his brothers and is the self-appointed leader. He is deathly serious, ruthless, has no time for pranks or jokes, and ends up carrying the weight of the team for a majority of their missions. (Because Leo and Donnie keep trying to make Raph do their jobs. 👊😔)
The time difference between Earth and Dimension X fascinated me. So yeah, SG turtles saw Mikey go into a pink portal for like 2 minutes and he came back several years older than all of them. And also a foot taller. That was a very "well damn" moment for them. Lol.
SG Mikey is a more central antagonist than SG Splinter/Yoshi. Evil Mikey centric YEAHHH

Hey! This is TMNT: Children of the Sky Mikey and Leo from Cabin 16 with a survey: who's the most artistic member of your AU/iteration's family?
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
Mikey looked at them with a beaming smile. "I am! And Donnie, technically! Oh but I guess Leo and Raph count! Maybe Vi, too!" He keeps rambling.
"It's just Mikey and Raph." Leo leans over. "I used to dabble in pottery but could never get it. And Donnie just makes his tech the same color as him." A loud "scoff" came from the top bunk.
"It definitely has to be me and Mikey." Vi spoke while sharpening her trident. "No one has the artistic talent that we have. Mine if more physical like dance and fight and his is more... Crafts related. I guess Raph could count because I saw him sewing some plushies but... I don't know. Absolutely not Leo or Donnie, not those two."

Recycled Nightmares
Title: Recycled Nightmares   Fandom: TMNT 2003 Word Count: 4949  Author: aquietwritingcorner/realitybreakgirl Rating:  T Characters: Donatello, Leonardo Warning: NA Summary: During his first childhood, Don didn’t have nightmares. This time around, Don seems to be having quite a few—including ones where Leo is the only one who can comfort him. But whey they figure out why, it wasn’t what they were expecting. Notes:  Part of the Little Don AU, an AU I’ve had forming in my head where, during a crisis with the Time Scepter, Don sacrificed himself to save everything. Instead of it killing him, though, it turned him into a baby, and his family has needed to raise him all over again.  ff.net || AO3

Recycled Nightmares
A shriek split the silent night. High pitched and terrified, it broke the silence like glass shattering, jolting everyone in the lair to wakefulness. A second shriek, this time, with a name, or at least as much of one as the voice could pronounce, split the air again.
“EEEEEEOOOOOO!!!!”
Leo shot out of bed and moved faster than he had ever moved in his life. He snatched his swords up as he ran, not even bothering to put the strap on, and pulled one out even as he practically flew to Donnie’s room, somehow passing both Raph and Mikey, who were also moving quickly.
The door to Donnie’s room was open, but so was Splinter’s. With Donnie barely being one, they still kept his room on the bottom floor and close to Splinter’s in case he needed anything. Splinter had, obviously, gotten there first, but Leo wasn’t far behind, and he all but burst into the room they had renovated for their now-baby brother.
Leo stood for a moment, his eyes sweeping over the room, katana out and ready but there didn’t seem to be any threat. He could hear Raph and Mikey come up behind him, feel how ready they were, but there didn’t seem to be a threat. Just Splinter, holding a crying and wailing baby turtle, trying to comfort him without success.
“I believe he had a nightmare,” Splinter said over Donnie’s wails.
There was a second’s pause, and then they all relaxed a little. Leo sheathed his katana and let out a breath. “I’m glad that’s all it was.”
“Scared the shell outta me,” Raph said, huffing out a breath.
Donnie was still crying, but it seemed to have quieted a touch.
Leo frowned. “Let’s check the perimeter anyway,” he said, looking back at Splinter. “Just to be sure. We want to make sure that nothing got in.”
“A wise precaution, my son,” Splinter said, still attempting to soothe the still crying Donnie.
Leo turned to leave, and Donnie started wailing again.
“Eo! Eo, Eo, Eo, Eo!”
“I think you’re being paged, bro,” Mikey said as they all turned back around.
Donnie was looking at him, distress on his face, and reaching his hands out towards him. Leo blinked for a second, surprised. It wasn’t that Donnie didn’t come to him. No, he went to all of them freely. It was just unusual for him to be this insistent on it.
Setting his swords down, Leo walked up to Splinter and took Donnie from him. The little turtle immediately latched on, crying and sniffling, but holding tightly to him. He babbled between his cries, and Leo had no idea what he was saying, besides his name. Still, he held onto his little brother and rocked him gently.
“It’s alright, little brother. I’ve got you,” he said. “You’re safe. We’re all safe.”
“Mike and I’ll go check around,” Raph said, watching the scene. “You can join us after Donnie calms down.”
Leo nodded. “Sounds good,” he said, still holding the distraught Donnie. He watched as his other two brothers left, and then looked at Splinter. “What do you think got Donnie so upset?” he asked as he tried to calm his baby brother.
Splinter shook his head. “I do not know. He is too small to verbalize much to us,” he said, running a hand on Donnie’s head. “Hopefully, whatever it was, it will leave him soon.”
“I hope so,” Leo said, looking down at the still crying Donnie.
It took almost an hour for Donnie to stop wailing, and another thirty minutes after that for him to stop crying completely. Leo attempted to pass him back to Splinter, but the moment Donnie was out of Leo’s arms, he started wailing again. Eventually, Leo gave up, and just took Donnie out to the couch, where he wrapped them both up, and they slept together. Come morning Donnie refused to let go of Leo and started crying anytime Leo put him down. He wanted no one and nothing but Leo and refused the rest of his family completely. None of them could figure out why the little boy was so upset, but he was, and they just had to deal with it.
Still, by that night, he went down fine, and the next day he was back to normal, laughing and playing with all of them again. The family just collectively shrugged and went about their day, thinking that perhaps it was a one-time thing.
It was two years later when another similar incident occurred. Nightmares, they had discovered, were not that uncommon for Donnie to experience. According to Splinter, Donnie didn’t have nightmares when he was a child the first time. However, this time around, they were something that the family had learned to deal with. Tonight, another scream rent the night air, although this one started out by screaming Leo’s name.
“YEEEEEYOOOO!!!”
It was a terrified, heart wrenching cry that once again had Leo flying out of his bed as fast as his feet could take him and to his little brother. His family was there with him, of course, Splinter already in the room, trying to console the three-year-old, but Donnie only screamed louder, almost hysterically, until he saw Leo. Then he reached for his brother and sobbed.
Leo wasted no time in scooping the toddler up, cradling him against his plastron and shushing him. “Another nightmare?” he asked, even as he tried to soothe his brother.
“I believe so,” Splinter said.
“It’s alright, buddy,” Leo said to Donnie. “It’s alright, I’m here.”
Donnie’s breath hitched as he cried, holding tightly to his oldest brother.
“You got this, bro?” Mikey asked from the doorway.
Leo nodded. “Yeah. You two go back to bed. I’ll stay with Donnie.”
His brothers filed out, but Splinter stayed with Leo, even as Leo tried to calm the tot. Eventually, Donnie’s cried calmed, then quieted, and Leo gave his shell a few more rubs.
“There you go. It was just a dream. You’re safe now. Why don’t you let Father put you back to—”
Donnie’s arms tightened on his neck, and his breathing started to catch again. Leo quickly backtracked. “Or I can stay with you tonight,” he said.
Donnie seemed to calm a little at that, and Leo looked over at Splinter. “Looks like this one is mine, tonight,” he said.
Splinter nodded. “Then I will leave you to it,” he said.
Leo went over to Donnie’s bed and laid down with the little turtle. Donnie pulled his blankets and an old, stuffed dinosaur to him, but he didn’t ever completely let go of Leo.
“You had a bad dream, huh?” Leo said.
Donnie stared at him, but nodded “Mm-hm,” he said.
“I’m sorry it scared you,” Leo said. “Can you tell me what it was about?”
Donnie was quiet for a moment. “…Dere was a scawy man,” he said.
“A scary man?” Leo repeated.
Donnie nodded. “Mm-hm. Gian’!”
“Oh, a giant,” Leo said.
Donnie nodded. “Fi’e ev’eywhere!”
“Oh, that does sound scary,” Leo said.
Donnie started tearing up again. “Yous hurt!” he said. “You ‘er blee’ing and ha’ losta owwies!”
Oh, that explained a lot. Leo reached out and pulled Donnie closer to him.
“Scawy,” Donnie whispered.
Leo began making shushing noises again, doing his best to reassure his little brother. “It was a just a dream,” he said. “I’m right here and I’m alright. No owwies, no bleeding. I’m right here and I’m not going anywhere.”
Donnie huddled against him, eventually falling asleep cradled in Leo’s arms. Leo laid awake for a little bit longer, thinking over what Donnie had said. A giant scary man with fire, and Leo hurt. It was probably from that new show that Mikey had been watching. Wasn’t there a character named Leo on there? He’d talk to Mike in the morning. That might have to be a show that he watched only after Donnie went to bed.
Leo stayed with Donnie the whole night, and the next day Donnie followed Leo like a little shadow, staying as close as possible to his biggest brother, often clinging to him or asking to be picked up. The day after that he was alright, pretty much back to normal, but it did remind Leo of that time when Donnie was one, and he filed that in the back of his mind.
Three years later it wasn’t a loud cry or a shriek that woke Leo up, but a stuttering, tear-filled little voice.
“L-l-l-le-ee-ee-o?”
Leo was awake instantly and rolling over to see the silhouette of his six-year-old brother in his doorway, clutching a blanket and an old dinosaur toy to him. Leo rolled out of bed, heading straight for Donnie.
“Donnie? Buddy, what’s wrong?” he asked as he approached him.
Donnie sniffed, and Leo could see the tears forming in his eyes. He wasted no time, just reached down and scooped up his brother. Donnie immediately clung onto Leo, hard, and started to cry. Leo made his way back to his own bed, sitting down with his little brother and rocking him.
“Hey, hey, shhhh, little brother, I’m here. What’s wrong? Are you hurt anywhere?”
Donnie shook his head at that question, but he didn’t stop clinging or crying.
“Okay, that’s good,” Leo said. “Was it a nightmare?” he asked.
Donnie froze for half a second, and then nodded, still clinging and crying.
Leo nodded, and readjusted, scooting back so that the wall was to his shell.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Leo asked.
Donnie shook his head hard, and Leo got the message loud and clear.
“Do you want to sleep here tonight?” Leo asked Donnie softly, and to that, Donnie nodded. “Alright,” Leo said, shifting to lay them both back. “You can sleep with me, and if you start to have another nightmare, I’ll wake you up, okay?”
Donnie sniffed. “Okay,” he said softly.
He clung to Leo even as he slowly fell asleep, but even after Donnie was asleep, Leo didn’t try to move him. Instead, he just held his brother to him, and dropped off to sleep as well, making sure to keep Donnie safe and warm.
Donnie stuck like glue to Leo the next day, getting as close to him in training as he could, and following him everywhere. Leo had decided not to do some of the training he had planned on doing today because of it, and so he was sitting on the couch, watching some television while Donnie scribbled away on some paper.
Leo hadn’t thought much of it. Donnie was always working on something, even now. It was usually some grand idea for a vehicle, or something that he could build, but sometimes he’d do things like plants or animals. Sometimes he tried to draw out the stories that his brothers told him. But most of the time it was a design for something.
So, when Leo shifted positions and glanced at what Donnie was drawing, well, he froze. He hadn’t been expecting to see a black and gray figure with red eyes and spikes on the paper.
“Donnie,” he said, keeping his voice calm. “Who’s that?”
Donnie didn’t look up at Leo, but his coloring slowed. “…It’s the bad spikey man,” he said.
“The bad spikey man?” Leo asked.
Donnie nodded. “Mm-hm. From my nightmare. The bad spikey man is there, and you’re hurt really, really badly. We’re at Aunt April and Uncle Casey’s, and there’s fire everywhere and a giant man that tries to hurt Aunt April.” He paused his crayon slowing. “You’re hurt so bad that when we get out of Aunt April and Uncle Casey’s I don’t know if you’re alive or not.”
Oh. Oh.  No wonder Donnie wanted to stick so close to him after a dream like that. But Donnie wasn’t supposed to have any of his memories from before. How was he dreaming about this?
Leo reached down and pulled Donnie up into his lap, cuddling the boy. Donnie didn’t resist, cuddling into Leo, his paper crumpling slightly as he held onto it.
“I’m sorry,” Leo said, his voice a little rough. “That… that sounds scary.”
Donnie sniffed a little and nodded. “It is,” he said his voice watery. “It’s terrifying.”
“I know,” Leo said. “But I’m here, now, and I’m not hurt, and the bad spikey man can’t hurt me or anyone.”
Donnie let out a little noise of agreement, but curled into Leo and cried anyway. Leo let him, rocking him.
Later, when Donnie was down for his nap, Leo gathered up the pictures and went to Splinter with them, telling him what Donnie had told him. Splinter, like Leo, was disturbed at this, and spent the rest of Donnie’s nap time contemplating what to do. Eventually the old rat decided it would be best to sit down as a family and explain what had happened to Donnie, in a child-friendly way, of course. They had decided long ago not to hide things from him, and this was no different, especially since he was already having nightmares about it.
When it was time, Leo got Donnie up from his nap, and the boy immediately cuddled into him, sleepily waking up. Leo smiled, enjoying the cuddles.
“Aunt April and Uncle Casey are coming over for dinner tonight,” Leo said softly.
Donnie raised his head. “Are Gus and Marie coming, too?” he asked, clearly wanting to see his human cousins.
Leo shook his head. “Not tonight. Just April and Casey.”
Donnie frowned. “Why not?” he asked. “They usually come, too.”
“They’re going to spend some time with their grandmother tonight,” Leo said.
“Oh.” Donnie frowned, and Leo could see that he was still thinking through the answer. It didn’t completely satisfy the boy, but he wasn’t contradicting it just yet. Leo wasn’t too surprised. Donnie was good at ferreting out when things didn’t make sense, and good at figuring out why, even if it took him a bit.
Still, the afternoon passed fairly quickly, Donnie still sticking close to Leo. By the time that April and Casey arrived in the lair, Leo was helping to cut up vegetables in the kitchen, Don by his side, carefully measuring things for Mikey.
“Hey guys,” April greeted them as she walked into the kitchen.
“Hi, Aunt April!” Donnie said, his face lighting up at the woman.
“Heya, squirt,” she said. “I brought some dessert!”
“Oooh, whaddya bring?” Mikey asked.
“Peach turnovers and ice cream,” she said.
“Ohhhhh!” Donnie said, clapping his hands together.
“Just stick it in the oven, April,” Mikey said. “It’ll keep warm in there. The rest of the food is on the stove and almost done.”
“Can do!” April slipped the dessert into the oven, and then turned to Donnie, hands on her hips. “So. What have you been up to, Squirt?”
Donnie chattered to April about his day, going into detail as Mikey, April and Leo finished up the food, Raph, Casey, and Splinter coming in to help set the table. It didn’t take long for everyone to settle in, and dinner to start. It went well enough, with the family chatting about things, until supper was over.
Donnie sat in between Leo and April, eating and joining in on the conversation, but still obviously trying to figure out what was going on. He grew more suspicious when, after dinner was finished and the table cleared, dessert wasn’t gotten out.
Donnie glanced at everyone. “What’s going on?” he asked, looking a little nervous.
Leo reached over and pulled Donnie into his lap. “We need to talk to you,” he said, keeping his voice gentle. “Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble. But it’s still something we need to talk about.”
Donnie turned uncertain eyes up at his brother. “Talk about what?” he asked.
“Your nightmare,” Leo said.
Donnie shrunk back. “Oh,” he said quietly. “What’s—what’s wrong with it? Is it ‘cause when I have it, I wanna stay near Leo? I’m sorry.”
“Wait—what do you mean, when you have it?” Leo asked. “You’ve had this dream before?”
Donnie shrunk back a little more and bit his lip. “Mm-hm,” he said quietly. “It’s always scary, ‘cause you get so hurt, and I’m always scared that it’s true,” he whispered out. “I’m sorry if I bother you…”
That put a new perspective on things. He’d been having this nightmare before, and every time he wanted Leo? Leo looked up at his brothers and then over at his father. “Master, do you think—when he was a baby—"
“Perhaps,” Splinter said. He turned his attention to Donnie. “My son,” Splinter said, reaching over to cup Donnie’s cheek. “No one is upset that you want to spend time with Leo after these dreams. However, we wish to know about them. Can you tell us about your nightmare last night? I have your drawings from today, if that helps.”
Donnie was anxiously pulling at his fingers, but he nodded. “O-okay,” he said, trusting his family. Splinter sat the drawings down in front of him, and Donnie looked at them for a minute, before looking back at his hands.
“Um… it always starts out in Uncle Casey and Aunt April’s building, up in the apartment. We’re all there, except Uncle Casey, Gus, and Marie. But I’m not worried about it, cause it feels like they’re not supposed to be there. But Leo’s not there, either, but it feels like he should be. It’s storming outside, and everyone is really worried about Leo not being there. It feels like something bad is about to happen.” He paused, licking his lips a little and biting his bottom one for a moment. “And then—and then something happens and Leo’s there and he’s hurt.”
“Whaddya mean, something happens?” Raph asked gently, when Donnie hesitated.
Donnie looked up at him, and then reached for the pictures, shuffling through them. He had never been the best artist, when it wasn’t technical, and that was still true. But with the context he was giving them, his childish drawings took on a new meaning.
Donnie pushed one forward. “I mean, something happens. Sometimes I see it, and sometimes I just hear it, and sometimes Leo’s just there, but it happens.” The paper had a blue square on it, with a jagged hole in the middle, colored black, and what was clearly meant to be Leo on the ground under it. “There’s always a broken window, and glass, and Leo hurt,” he whispered out. He looked at the drawing, and then down again. “I don’t like to draw him hurt.”
Leo gave Donnie a squeeze, and April reached over to squeeze the small turtle’s knee in support.
“What happens next, Donatello?” Splinter asked gently.
Donnie shuffled through the drawings again, and pushed another one forward, this time with lots of black stick figures, and green figures with their respective colors on them. Leo’s was near a pink figure with red on top, and there was a gray and brown figure there too.
“People—ninjas—break in. They come through the windows, and crash into Aunt April’s apartment. There’s lots of them, and they’re everywhere, even at the door. And I know that they don’t wanna just hurt us, they wanna kill us.” Donnie curled up more starting to tear up. “Aunt April has Leo, but he’s too hurt to help, and I dunno if he’s gonna be okay. But we fight and we fight and we fight. We managed to get down the stairs, but there’s people in cool hats in the shop,” he pushes another picture forward, black figures with brown smears over their heads, “and they fight us, too, only they’re a lot better than the other ninja.”
Donnie bit his lip again and looked over at April, before shuffling through the papers. “S-Sometimes this part happens, but sometimes it doesn’t. But I hear Aunt April scream, and she doesn’t have Leo anymore, and there’s a huge man who I know is going to hurt her. But Raphie saves her.”
He shoved a picture forwards, the pink figure of April looking small next to a big black square with a pink circle that has yellow on top. The adults all looked at each other. Hun.
“And then—” Donnie stopped, his breath hitching, like it does right before he cries.
Leo hugged him tighter. “And then what, little brother?” he said softly.
Donnie took in a gasping breath, and reached a trembling hand forward, pushing another paper forward. “And then he comes,” the child whispered out.
On the paper was a figure drawn in more detail than the rest. Black and gray, with red eyes, and spikes coming out of him, it was clearly a picture of the Shredder.
Donnie teared up. “He gets there, and I get so, so scared. Because he’s not supposed to be there. He’s not supposed to be able to hurt us. But he hurt Leo, hurt him badly, and Leo’s not moving as much as he was. We all try to fight him, but he beats us back. He steals my staff and uses it against Father, and I’m scared, because he could hurt Father, but also I’m fighting all these bad ninja without any weapons and they’re getting closer and—”
Donnie cut off, and reached his hands up, wiping at his face, at the tears that were falling. “It’s so scary,” he said, his voice watery. “Uncle Casey gets there soon, on his motorcycle, through the store’s window, and he helps, but there’s too many of them still. We keep fighting, but Leo’s stopped moving or talking and I’m scared he’s dead.” Donnie’s voice wavered, but he kept talking. “We all run and hide in a closet, but then the closet gets locked from the outside, and there’s smoke, and I know that we’re gonna blow up.”
Donnie was fully crying by this point. “We’re gonna blow up, and Leo’s hurt and might be dying and the ninjas were trying to kill us and we’re all gonna die!” He curled in on himself. “We crawl out a hole in the back of the closet, but then Aunt April and Uncle Casey’s building blows up. But we have to run, we have to get away because the ninja might still try to come after us. We’re all hurt but Leo’s hurt the worst and I don’t know if he’s gonna live or die, and that’s when I wake up and—”
Donnie turned in Leo’s lap, standing in it throwing his arms around Leo’s neck. “It’s so scary!” he wailed. “I don’t want you to die! And it feels real! And when I wake up, and you’re not there, I think it might be, and I get scared and then I just have to make sure you’re alright the rest of the day, because it was so scary!”
For a moment, Leo just held Donnie close, shushing him and rocking him gently. “It’s alright, Little Brother. I’m here. I’m not hurt and I’m alive. It’s alright.”
Leo looked at the others, who all looked a bit stricken. It was hard enough to understand what had happened at fifteen. How were they going to explain it to a six-year-old?
When Donnie had calmed some, Splinter reached out for him. “Donatello. Come here, my son,” he said.
Donnie obediently went, immediately curling into his father’s hold, little hand curling into his robe. Splinter smiled down at him and pressed his nose on his head. He pulled back just enough to be able to see Donnie’s tear-streaked face.
Splinter took a breath. “Donatello. Do you remember what we told you when you started asking about the older turtle in purple in the pictures?”
Donnie sniffed but nodded. “Mm-hm. You said he was me, but an older me, and that the Time Scepter had made me a little kid again. And that while I was the same, I was also different.”
Splinter nodded. “Yes, very good. That Donatello had many adventures with his brothers, as I am sure you will have one day. But not everything that happened to him was good,” Splinter said gently. “Nor was everything that happened to this family.”
Donnie looked up at Splinter, his brow furrowing as he tried to piece together what his father was saying. Splinter reached over and picked up the picture of the Shredder.
“We had thought all your memories from your previous life were gone, but it appears that a few have stayed,” Splinter said.
Donnie’s head shot up. “You mean—you mean it’s real?” he said. “My nightmare is real?”
Splinter let out a heavy sigh. “It was a real thing that happened, yes,” he said.
Donnie’s head whipped around to look at Leo in horror. Leo just gave him a sad smile back.
“When we were fifteen,” he said, “we defeated the Shredder—or so we thought. But he survived, and in revenge he decided to hunt me down.” Leo’s smile faded. “It was a rainy day, storming, and I was hurt very, very badly.”
“We were staying at April’s,” Mikey said. “She and Casey weren’t even dating yet, so it was just April’s place. The Foot—those bad ninja in your dream—were hunting for us down in the sewers. We were just hiding out at April’s hoping to wait them out.”
“They did throw Leo through a window,” Raph said. “And he was hurt badly. Worse than any of us had ever been hurt before.” Raph’s fist clenched. “And then the Foot Ninja came pouring through the window and we had to fight for our lives, just like you dreamed.”
“I did try to take care of Leo,” April said. “And we did fight our way downstairs. There was a big man, too, Hun, who tried to hurt me twice that night. Raph saved me the first time. Casey saved me the second.”
“And the Foot Elite, the ones with the cool hats, they were there, too,” Mikey said. “And they were really dangerous.”
“I busted in just like you said, Little Man,” Casey said. “Took down as many of those ninja as I could.”
Splinter ran a comforting hand over Donnie’s shell. “We fought hard but had to retreat to an old cooler that April was using as a closet. The Shredder set the place on fire, mostly likely cut the gas lines, and did blow up the building. We were fortunate in that there was a patched hole where a freezing unit used to be that we could escape through.” He ran a soothing hand on Donnie’s head. “But Leonardo was badly injured and growing worse at that point. We escaped up to the farmhouse, and Leonardo recovered there.” He sighed again, although he smiled comfortingly at Donnie. “Your dream, my son, was more than a dream, but a memory.”
Donnie had been tracking each person as they spoke, and now his eyes were fixed on Splinter. Horror and fear danced through them, even as he teared up again, and he began to tremble from fear. “It all happened?” he said, his voice soft, but horrified. “The spikey bad man is real? He’s the Shredder?”
Don had known that the Shredder was a bad guy, but he hadn’t realized how bad. His eyes teared up. “But—he can’t get us again, right? We’re—we’re safe?” He looked over at Leo. “He can’t hurt you like that again, right?” Tears began to fall. “Right?”
Splinter cuddled his smallest son to him, making sure to keep him as safe and secure as possible in his arms. “No. He cannot hurt anyone ever again.” Splinter said, his voice firm. “Never.”
Donnie turned into Splinter, burying his face in his fur, and crying. It took a few minutes for him to calm down again. “Can I sleep with you tonight, Father?” he asked, his voice muffled.
Splinter pressed a kiss to Donatello’s head. “Of course you can,” he said.
“And Leo, too?”
Leo smiled. “Yeah. I’ll come, too.”
“And Mikey and Raphie?”
“Why don’t we just have a sleepover in the living room,” Raph suggested instead, clearly seeing where this was going. Donnie peeked out from Splinter’s hold and nodded a bit.
“You know what every good sleepover starts with?” Mikey said, standing up. “Dessert! Why don’t we get into those peach turnovers that April brought over?”
Donnie sniffed. “Okay.”
They ate dessert at the table, Donnie ending up back in Leo’s lap again. After cleaning up, Donnie was carried into the living room, where he was passed from person to person while they watched movies, until April and Casey had to leave. After that, his brothers piled with him in the space they had made on the floor, Donnie in the middle, and Splinter nearby.
Donnie cuddled into the middle of the pile of warmth, listening to the TV and to the song Splinter hummed under his breath. He was still upset that the man in his dreams had turned out to be the Shredder, and that Leo had really been hurt so badly. The idea of anyone wanting to do that scared him. But here, with his brothers, he felt safe and protected. His nightmare was true, and that was scary. But his family was here, and they’d made it through. And right now? Right now, that was enough for Donnie. He cuddled in, closed his eyes, and let sleep take him. And anytime he felt restless or started to have a nightmare that night, well, a brother was always right there to soothe him back to sleep. Just like he knew they always would be.

☆Request Blog☆
(I think that's how you do it?)
Tumblr media
♡What I'm willing to do :
Since I'm a total simp over fictional characters, so obviously, I'm more willing to do Reader inserts :)
The reader can be any gender and/or sex.
The pairing can be either platonic or romantic. I can also do other depending on the request.
I can write fluff, angst, violent/gore, possessive character, Hurt/Comfort.
The reader can die as well as the character :D
○What I might do :
Minor + Minor (only platonically and only if the character is actually a kid, like no grow-ups).
Spicy requests but without smut! Sorta a lime?
□What I won't do :
As much as I would love to do smut, I can not, so no smut request.
Sorry, shippers, but I kinda don't like writing about shipping characters. Readers need attention, you know? <3
Reader having a name.
OCs.
Reader with powers and/or isn't human.
Pedophilia.
Incest.
Minor + Major (maybe some exceptions for child and parent relationship, unless it's evolving child abuse or things like that. Keep it sweet and wholesome).
How should you request me things :
So first of all, there are many kinds of fanfic you could request me :
Imagines.
Plots.
Maybe there are some other genres that I don't know of.
If you want to request me something you'll need to give me some details especially if you're requesting a whole plot.
You'll have to give me information about the reader (gender, sex if necessary for you, sexual orientation if necessary for you, personality maybe if you want the reader to have some attitude that will affect the story, etc...).
You'll have to give me information about the idea you have in mind (Just tell me how you want it to feel like and what you want to feel. Free your inner thoughts). Like, if it's a plot you're requesting you'll have to tell me how you want it to begin, what happens during the story, and how will it end (But don't worry, if I feel like something missing from your request I'll just ask you it will be easier).
Areas of entertainment that I'm willing to write about (+infos) :
Transformers:
Request any Transformers movies, shows, comics... I love them all <3 You can also request AUs Transformers like Merformers and Shattered Glass (Not Human AU, though). However, I'm not really a fan of the concept of holograms and holoforms being able to touch someone like a real human. So, no relationship between the reader and holoforms/holograms. Maybe mass displacement, yeah, sure.
Undertale & Undertale Yellow & Deltarune:
You can request any characters from any AUs. However, I won't do cross-overs between Undertale and Undertale Yellow since it's two different timelines and mostly in different spaces. (Actually, it depends on your request...)
This one's tricky cause I know the characters and I saw the whole multi-player gameplay, but I haven't seen yet the story mod, so I don't know exactly how the story goes or even what they are fricking fighting for. But I guess I'll do just fine with your requests.
Call of Duty
TMNT
So, as I said in my willing lists, since they are teens, I'll only do minor + minor for this one as a platonic relationship. Unless you're smashing Master Splinter. You can request this one as well from any shows or movies.
The Last of Us
This one is more aimed at A.M. and the 5 last humans. I might not write about other characters than them.
You can request any characters from this one. Unless you're requesting a kid, so same as TMNT.
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream
Marvel Universe
So this is a very vast territory. So I didn't see every Marvel movie, show, or comic... But if you request me a character that I haven't heard of or haven't seen their movie yet your request might wait a little while so I can either watch the show or movie or either try to learn about them.
DC Universe
Same as Marvel Universe.
Monster-Verse
So this one I was more aiming platonic relationships with the monsters, kinda like Kong and Jia's (Kong vs Godzilla) or island girl's (Skull Island Show) relationship.
Avatar
You can request anyone from this one. But like TMNT and TLoU, if you want to request the teen characters, it has to be platonic with the reader being a minor too.
Tell me if I missed some things, idk what I'm doing...

AU Blind Murdock Reader x Leonardo (TMNT 2014/2016) Chapter 4
"Please someone....help.."
You jolted and Leo's eyes darted forward. He dropped his arms, wondering what it was that broke your focus.
"Are you alright?"
During the beginning, you were quite reluctant to join, and he realized he just needed to be persistent. So after you healed, and tried to get out of working together, you finally gave in. Leo knew if you were going to trust them, he would have to give you a reason to, so there was no doubt about showing you the lair. You'd already been there, and he had the sense that you would be able to find them even without his guidance.
At first, it was difficult, going out together and fighting crime. You still tried to operate like you were solo, and he didn't want to risk a casualty, so he asked Splinter for some advice. He suggested team training exercises. It helped with his brothers, so why not you? That's what you were currently doing, until something distracted you.
"I'm fine."
Fine.
You kept saying that. It was starting to get on his nerves. He knew for a fact you weren't fine. But with your very prominent trust issues, getting that information out would be a challenge.
"I need to go." Leo narrowed his eyes. It was Saturday afternoon. You didn't have school, and he was positive when you agreed to come, you did so because your schedule was clear.
"Where are you going?"
Your fist tightened at your side. "I didn't realize this was an interrogation. I just need to go. Or do I need permission to leave sir." He internally winced at the venom in your voice. He'd stepped on a bomb, he knew that now. "Sorry, I don't mean to be nosy. I was just under the impression that we were going to practice. I'm just a little worried, I want us to work well when we're out there. I can't do that if we aren't familiar with each other. "
"We'll be fine." You spoke flatly. You were already turning before he could say much more. You only made a few steps before his hand grabbed your wrist. Effectively halting your movements.
"Let me help you." you bit down on your lip. Asking for help would take a while, Leo understood that. That just meant he had to pay attention. He supposed you were used to being ignored, so it was easy for people who didn't pay mind to miss the subtle expressions on your face. He was getting better at reading you. "Something is bothering you, it's been that way for a while." He could feel you tense in his hold.
"I'm right." So it wasn't just a hunch on his part. At the start of the session he could tell. You were a bit antsy, and some of your hits were delayed. He'd seen you fight, you were calculated, strong and agile. Today you weren't as quick. Your shoulders slumped, and he loosened his hold, watching as you turned to him slowly.
"There's a girl in my building. She's..in pain. I can't seem to help. Every night she cries out for help and I..I can't do a thing."
"Did you try talking to the police, maybe they can help." you frowned.
"I've called child welfare and they didn't do a thing."
"Child welfare..." The child was being abused.
"(Y/N), are they beating on her?" your jaw clenched, and you turned abruptly.
"Are you going to help me or not."
You didn't answer his question, that wasn't good. Something told him that it was better to just go along with you. If he didn't, he'd be stuck worrying about what could happen. He didn't want you acting rash and getting hurt.
"I'll help."
He wasn't sure what he was getting himself into, but at least this way he was in the loop.
~~~~~
As darkness overtook the sky, you and Leo stood on the roof of your building. You kept flexing your fingers. Leo realized that watching you filter through all the sounds around you was intriguing. You seemed to react like an antenna, picking up signals until you found the right one. Your head would turn at every quick noise you caught. Your outfit really was a clever choice, the black blended nicely for the activities you need to carry out, and your eyes were completely covered, so the chance of someone even catching a glimpse of your eyes was impossible.
"How do you deal with it, all the conflicting sounds. It can't be easy, hearing all that you do."
A pause.
"It wasn't always easy, at first it was chaotic. They weren't sure what to make of me, so they placed me in an orphanage. Some of the nuns thought I was possessed. " you muttered. Leo swallowed. This was dangerous ground. Sometimes you'd give him little pieces of your past.
"This world isn't that pretty anyway, people think this disability is a curse, but it's a gift. My gift. I see everything through my other senses. I try to fix it. But everyone else, they see it all. The death, destruction, yet they are the ones truly disabled. Because they choose to be blind. "
You knew what your purpose in the world was, and this was it.
"Please don't.."
"Be quiet."
Leo straightened, and you turned to him. "Did you hear that?"
He nods. "He isn't sure what it is he just heard. It was an obvious cry for help, but the other voice came from inside the room. So it had to be a family member.
"I don't understand, why would they leave that relative with her if he's hurting her."
"It's because he's her step dad." Now he was even more confused. "She's a kid, what could she be doing that warrants abuse. I know parents are strict with their kids but-"
"He raped her." Leo's eyes widened. He took a step back, disbelief in his eyes. You couldn't see him. But there was no doubt genuine surprise.
"Your father, Splinter, I figured he sheltered you guys from a lot, and you've probably only been dealing with the minor threats. Bank robberies, common assaults. There's a lot more out there. Far more than you guys realize. You have no idea how much restraint it's taken me not to smash that man's face into a wall. It's been going on for weeks. I called the police, left notes for the mother. Even tried to get the girl to talk to me. Nothing. "
You tried getting him alone at night, you'd been studying his routine the moment you knew what was up, but there was rarely an opportunity. The hours he worked clashed with when you attended school, and every other chance he was always surrounded by someone. A friend, coworker, or his family.
"But he's...he's her.." Leo felt sick to his stomach. He couldn't comprehend it.
You just let out a dry chuckle. Dark, emotionless.
"The world isn't that black and white Leonardo. In this line of work, if you can't stomach the sight, you might as well be one of the other blind sheep."
Leo was still trying to gather himself. He finally registered that something was about to go down when he heard the sirens not too far away. "Their on time for once."
"W-Wait what are you.."
"If I can't get him for one crime, I'll just have to make him pay for another." he couldn't even ask what the actual plan was. You jumped over the edge of the building and Leo panicked.
"(Y/N)!!!!!!"
Gripping the ledge, you catapult yourself through the window, crashing into the glass. It broke, startling the man in the bed. He jumped off the girl in shock, and you tucked and rolled, cushioning your fall.
"What the hell!" He barely had a chance to pull up his pants. You drove forward, punching him square in the jaw. He took it, grunting and backpedaling as he crashed into the door.
"H-Honey!! Honey are you okay!!" you could hear the mother frantically yelling on the other side of the door.
"Mommy!!" your head whipped to the side. "I'm not going to hurt you." you said softly. You could hear the rustling of the sheets, she was cowering into the bed. "He hurt you." the girl didn't say anything, and you could hear the labored breathing of the step dad. He was still slightly disoriented from the hit.
"H-He said if I told anyone they wouldn't believe me. I-I was bad. I deserved it." It broke your heart to hear those words come from her mouth. "He's a liar. There's nothing you could have done to deserve any of this. He's a monster, you hear me, there's nothing wrong with you."
"Bitch!!"
That was becoming a frequent title. You just smirked when he picked up a bat from the corner. He raised it, striking in your direction. You dodged, moving in as punched him in the gut. He tried to use the lack of distance to get a hold of you, but you elbowed him in the jaw. He yelled out in pain, dropping the bat. You gripped the back of his scalp, driving his face harshly into the wall. It wasn't enough. You drew back. Clenching your teeth as you smashed his face harder. The crack of his nose was satisfying. Blood gushed down his face, and you released your hold on his hair, letting him face plant. He curled into a ball, wailing.
"Pussy." you sneered.
You shifted from the door, moving back to the shattered window. You could hear the police coming up the staircase. It was then that the mother finally forced her way into the room. She kicked in the door, standing in the doorway partially paralyzed at the sight of her spouse bleeding on the floor. "Mommy!!" the girl raced off the bed, right into her mother's arms. She caught her easily, hugging her protectively to her chest as she watched you wearily. It's then that she seemed to really take in the scene. Her husband's pants were down, and her daughter wasn't wearing any.
"No..." you sighed.
"Protect your daughter, if I see him back here again, I won't be so generous. " You raised your leg, stepping on the edge.
"NYPD OPEN UP!!" She could barely say much, the minute she turned at the call, you were already gone. Police flooded the house, and the little girl just held unto her mother, crying softly in her arms.
~~~~~~
"How did you...what did they take him in for." You and Leo were on the roof. You watched the aftermath of all that went down. Leo felt useless. He'd couldn't do much at that point but stay there and hope you got out before the police got there. The number of officers aware of his existence was pretty small, drawing in a larger audience, especially after his family was almost exposed, it was dangerous. He couldn't take the chance. That wasn't the only reason. Somehow he could still barely process the prospect of what that poor girl went through. From her own family no less.
"I planted some weapons I recovered from a russian mob a few weeks back. My plan was to just dump them at the nearest dock, but I guess there was a reason I held unto them for so long. Didn't think I'd need it, but it came in handy. Those guns have been used in numerous crimes around the city. That doubled with the charges his wife is gonna file, he won't see the light of day anytime soon. "
Your only wish is that you'd been able to do something sooner. Nothing was going to make up for the innocence that was stolen from that girl. Hopefully, with the help of her mother she'd be okay. Leo was quiet.
"You've done this already. "
Until now, Leo felt like he was making a difference, but he wasn't so sure anymore. You dealt with this often, no wonder you were so insistent on being left alone. If he had to deal with people like that regularly, he probably wouldn't trust anyone either.
"Don't doubt yourself. You're a good guy Leo. "
You could deal with the dark, it was a part of you. But Leo, he was pure. He still had hope in humanity. In some weird way, you kind of hoped he'd always be that way. You had no problem dealing with scum. It just meant that someone else wouldn't have to worry about it. You didn't mind suffering, it's all you'd known. You could bear it.

Okay so I know this is from a while ago so feel free to not answer
but do you have any more on your Tmnt Shattered Glass Au? Specifically Donatello. But all take any info you have lol
IM ALWAYS DOWN TO TALK ABOUT MY SILLY AUS, EVEN IF I HAVENT MENTIONED THEM IN A WHILE !!!
SO... Donatello lore.. 👁👁
Donatello's personality was the hardest for me to really swap, despite the answer seeming very obvious in hindsight.
Donatello in the SG universe still retains his intelligence, but he abuses it for selfish memes and relies on malicious incompetence in order to get his brothers and underlings to do stuff for him. Not because he's lazy or anything, but because he enjoys making people do things for him.
He likes the act of manipulation a lot more than what he gets out of it, if the result is lackluster he fixes it up a bit and takes all the credit, or he uses it to throw someone under the bus.
His biggest flaw is his massive ego, which he feeds by taking advantage of others and getting praised for it.
He's been eyeballing these cool new things called "the brainworms" teehee.. He hopes he can use one on someone. For Science(tm) (ie his own enjoyment)
Bro is... not a good guy, and I'd imagine he'd be very easy to hate if I were to ever write and publish a fic for this AU. He's an ego-centric bully that manipulates and holds his intelligence over his brothers' heads (primarily SG Leo and Raph being his victims, the latter more than the forward.) He gets worse before he gets better, though, I ain't giving this kid a bad ending. It takes a while to get there, though. :^[
He does not have a crush on April, he never got the chance to meet April face-to-face before the main story. The Kraang and Utrom have switched places in this AU as well, so April's story with them changes drastically as a result.
OG Donnie definitely butts heads with his counterpart the *most* out of everyone. The second the OGs and SGs properly meet, it is ON SIGHT between those two... which is part of the reason why it takes so long for SG Donnke to even consider switching sides. The brainwashing and the personality he has are the main factors, but the counterpart beef deffo ain't helping. 💀
The ages haven't been swapped around a lot, with the exception of SG Michelangelo's. SG Mikey spent a few years in Dimension X for a mission once Splinter discovered the time difference, so now Mikey is a few years older than the rest of his brothers. However, the social hierarchy goes Mikey -> Donnie -> with Leo and Raph tied at the bottom. Even if Donnie was still older than Mikey, he would still be in second place. Fun factoid. Lol.

"Hey, it's April from Queen of the Birds here! I'm goin' around and asking everyone- counselors AND campers- for their groups favorite two or three songs- could also just be a song you relate to!
We usually have karaoke night at our place, so we figured- why not share around the camp?"
@tmnt-fandom-family-reunion
Vi looked at the human, squinting at her. "...Hmph. I... Guess I can answer. As long as you don't share with any Donnies or Leos." She rubbed the back of her head, staring at April. "I enjoy the song Pathological Facade by Ghost and Pals. I haven't told anyone this, I do hope it stays secret." She narrowed her amber eyes at the human, leaning down her her height.

Raphael X Reader (Soulmate AU)
Summary: Raphael’s name was written on your skin forever, but before you told him, he told you he didn’t have a soulmate tattoo. So you lied and denied you had one too. How could he be your soulmate if he didn’t have a tattoo?
A/N: Hey so this is pure ANGST with a little fluff and slight +18 content at the end... slightly... anyway for this is for the lovely @oceans-daughter-3 (I know it’s not fluff, but I had a dream and well here we are). I love you guys, let me know what you think!

“This is big.” I whispered. “This is... biological warfare big...”
“I just don’t know how he’s doing it,” Donnie muttered tapping on his screens. “If I figured that out, maybe I could stop it.”
“It doesn’t make sense though,” Raph scoffed. “Stockman has beef with Y/n and me, not all of New York... why would he do this?”
Raphael glanced over to me beside him and I quickly looked down, my cheeks flushing slightly. It was hard to deny the pivotal point that was Raphael in my life. What was worse was that his name was written in eternal ink on my skin.
Have I told him this? No. Was I going to? Not even close. For all the brothers knew, I didn’t have a soulmate tattoo. It was easy to fake, not everyone had one. Each of the brothers did... except Raph.
So, my tattoo wasn’t for him then. Who the hell it was supposed to be, I didn’t know. I didn’t want it to be anyone but him. I awaited the fate that would eventually prove that it wasn’t meant to be after all.
“Y/n are you listening?” Leo pulled me from my thoughts.
“Huh? What? Yeah.” I gave a false smile.
“Space.” Raph teased.
I stuck my tongue out at him.
“Careful or I’ll use that tongue for something else,” He grinned making me flush bright red again
“Will the two of you focus?” Leo scolded. “We need to figure this out, you two can flirt later.”
We both grumbled and looked down. My cheeks were still warm. Little did I know that so were Raphael’s.
_____________________________
“Pheromones” I whispered looking to Raphael. “That’s how he’s doing it.”
“Pheromones?” Donnie asked but I kept my eyes trained on Raph.
“They’re like... drugs, that make the mind give into instinct...” I stammered the explanation.
“I know what they are,” Donnie muttered. “I just don’t get why he’s not using them for... something more violent.”
“So, it’s a bad thing that he’s not using this for violence?” Raph mused, smirking at me.
“Well, no...”
“And it’s not affecting us,” Raph pointed out.
“Shouldn’t they though?” I thought out loud. “Aren’t you guys like... more susceptible?”
“It’s not affecting you either,” Raph shot back. “Freak,” He muttered. I narrowed my eyes at him.
“I haven’t been above ground since it all started, it’s not in my system,” I snapped and folded my arms. “but ya know I can go up right now.”
“No,” Both Donnie and Raph protested.
I raised an eyebrow at Raph. He just rolled his eyes.
________________________________
We stared down Stockman on a rooftop on New York.
I looked over to Raph, and he looked at me. We were both ourselves, not under the influence of Baxter’s weapon.
“It didn’t affect us,” I breathed out relieved.
“Well, of course it didn’t,” Raphael rolled his eyes and smiled at me.
“Well,” I smiled. “It’s nice to know I’m not alone.” That had to be a silver lining.
“On the contrary my dear,” Baxter laughed. “If I am so smart to create this pheromone don’t you think I would have tested it on the brothers? No, I have one for Raphael specifically. This is what the two of you deserve.”
“What?” I glanced over to Raphael. His eyes were squeezed shut, straining against some unseen thing.
“Raphael,” I took a step away from him, my hands going up in defense.
It wouldn’t be too bad right? The pheromones just made everyone else zombies... I’d be fine. He’d be fine.
Yeah, maybe I wasn’t convinced.
“Run.” He breathed out before his golden eyes snapped up to mine.
It was a second for me to process but I was too late. In that second, he grabbed me and threw me to the ground. I scrambled up looking for a way out. I couldn’t fight him. Even if I had the ability to, I couldn’t. I wouldn’t.
“Raph, come on,” I pleaded as he stalked towards me. We were predator and prey.
“Oh, won’t it be so sad. He’ll kill you, wake up, realize what he did... Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo,” Stockman sighed amused.
From the corner of my eye I saw the brothers hop into the roof, making their way towards us.
“No! Stay back!” I called, keeping my eyes trained on sharp gold ones.
“Why?” Stockman laughed. “He has no aggression towards his family... you on the other hand never were his family,”
I froze in my tracks. His words broke me more than anything else could. I’d rather have Raphael kill me than believe those words.
“That’s not true Y/n. You know that,” Leo’s voice was the voice of reason.
I didn’t particularly listen though. I was too focused on the terrapin in front of me. I knew he could kill me. Easily. He knew how to, in many ways probably. Not probably... he did.
“Leo, one of us isn’t walking away from this,” my voice was surprisingly calm. “and it can’t be him,”
“You both can walk away from this,”
“No Leo,” Raphael’s voice was calm, cold. “She’s right. She’s not walking away from this.” His velvet voice purred the menacing words.
“Raphael,” I whispered. “I know he’s in your head. I know you’re giving into instinct. Please for once Raphael, be yourself! I’m begging you!”
He came at me viscously and I dodged out of the way. He swept around and knocked my feet out from under me. I fell back, my shoulder hitting the ground hard. I let out a cry and flinched waiting for the blow...
But it didn’t come.
I dared to open my eyes and saw Leo, Donnie, and Mikey holding Raphael back, forcing him to the ground.
Getting up I panted, rolling my shoulders out. Something had to be dislocated.
 “Think think think,” I whispered harshly. “How do I get you out of this.”
“The stuff he used... it has to do with scents yeah? Instinct?” Mikey struggled as Raphael tried to dislocate his arm.
“Yeah,” I took a small step back.
“Then kiss him!” Donnie shouted panting from the effort that it took to keep his brother contained.
“What!?” I demanded. “How is that going to solve anything?”
“Look anger and love are very close together. Passion is passion. Instinct is instinct. You have to snap him out of it!”
The three of them wrestled Raphael to his knees. He still struggled against them, his eyes stayed trained on me, furious growls radiating from his chest.
“Raphael doesn’t...!” I cried. “He doesn’t love me!”
“Bullshit,” Leo snapped. “Even if he didn’t, you love him, don’t you?”
“Of course, I love him!”
It was the first time that I had ever said the words out loud. They seemed final somehow. Those words were what were going to make or break me.
“Then you have to kiss him!”
The golden eyes that once held fury were now petrified as he stilled.
“Please, don’t let her do that,” his voice was a begged whisper that went deep into my soul. “Please I’m begging you don’t let her touch me,”
My heart shattered at the desperation in his voice. Shards of glass that pierced every part of who I was. I wanted to give in. How could I go against such an agonized plea?
“Raphael, don’t you do that to her,” Leo hissed. “Don’t you dare. You are playing a sick game.”
“One that I have to lose,” I whispered tears streaming down my face as my eyes tried to find Stockman, but he was gone.
“It’s okay Leo... Let him win. I’ll kiss him... but he has to win.”
I took the steps forward and knelt in front of him. I didn’t dare to look up. I could hear the faint sounds of his panting and low growl in his throat. My heart hammered in my chest.
This was it.
“I never loved you,” his voice hissed. “You were always too slow, too weak. Your emotions make you weak.”
I met callous golden eyes.
“I’d rather be weak than never feel at all,” my voice broke. “I’m sorry I have to do this Raph.”
My eyes flickered to the brothers, who all had some sort of pity on their faces. I shook the thought and looked back to Raphael.
“Come back to me,” I begged and reached out, my fingers caressing his face as I pressed my lips to his.
I had thought about what it would feel like to kiss him. Just once. Not that I’d ever imagine it to be like this.
His lips attacked mine, the same passion he had before in taking me down in battle returned behind his force of the kiss. But I wasn’t backing down. Not from this fight.
My fingers gripped his jaw tighter as my other hand came up to stoke his cheek, the edges of his mask, his jaw, anything that I could reach.
His hot breath entered my mouth and I almost lost focus as his tongue met mine.
Maybe this was a cruel game after all. Because this kiss was everything I wanted it to be and yet... it wasn’t right. It wasn’t Raphael. Not my Raphael anyway. Not my friend... and not the one written on my arm.
I felt tears slip down my cheeks as I pulled away, leaning against him slightly turning my face from him. I heard him take a sharp breath in.
The feeling of regret washed over me. I shouldn’t have done that. I should have just let him kill me.
My hands fell into my lap where my eyes stayed trained. Until I stood walking away a bit, back turned to him.
“Let me go,” Raphael’s voice sounded strained.
“What kind of idiot—”
“Let him go!” I demanded. “It’s fine. I... I already lost.” I looked up to the empty night sky. “I lost your game Stockman! Are you happy now!?” Tears streamed down my face as my heart wretched.
“Y/n,” Mikey tried. “Are you sure you want us to—”
“Do it.” I gritted out, trying to hold back the cries that wanted to escape.
Rough fingers found mine. I waited for the yank and drag down to the ground. For his aggression. It didn’t come. Instead it an easy tug to spin. I didn’t dare to look up.
Gentle hands caressed each side of my face. My eyes flashed up knowing these were my last moments. He would snap my neck easy. Or maybe choke me. His golden eyes would be the last thing I saw.
His thumbs brushed away the tears that were streaming down my face. I didn’t understand the gesture.
I closed my eyes waiting for death. The relief from pain that riddled my chest. But it didn’t come.
Instead he came back. His lips were back on mine seemingly picking up where our last kiss left off. The cruel kiss.
Though this one was just as rough it wasn’t cruel any longer. It was emotional and bare and raw.
I opened my eyes in surprise but left it all to reckless abandon and curled my arms back around him as he pulled me closer. I could feel the warmth radiating off of him. I whimpered into his mouth and he hummed a response gently stroking my cheek as if to calm and reassure me.
My anxiety ran wild not knowing if this was him or the one who wanted to kill me. When his hand slipped down my arm and to my waist using the leverage to pull me flush against him, I decided it didn’t matter.
I loved Raphael and I’d be damned if I’d let him wanting to kill me hinder that love. I’d be damned if I let a stupid tattoo stop me from loving him.
I heard someone clear their throat obviously somewhere around us. It was hard to differentiate because everything in my mind was blurred by Raphael. Every touch, every breath, every stammering heartbeat.
He pulled away however, his hot pants fanning my face. Both of our eyes were still closed as we sat there, foreheads resting against another, panting.
“Tell me that was real,” I whispered. “Tell me or kill me,”
“That’s a bit dramatic don’t you think?” There was humor in his voice, a sly smirk on his lips.
“Raph!?” I gasped.
“Hey there, sweetheart,” he grinned.
“Is it you? Please tell me it’s you,” There were tears in my eyes again. “I need it to be you,”
“It’s always been me hasn’t it?”
Though he said the words and they made sense in context I knew it wasn’t what he was referring to.
One of our first fights was because I refused to tell him anything about my tattoo. He saw right through my nonchalant lies and demanded to know who it was... I walked out instead of giving him an answer and it was about a week until I spoke to him again.
I nodded.
“It’s always been you,” I admitted defeat. “I’m so sorry Raph,” I whispered.
“For?”
“What do you want me to apologize for? For kissing you? I’m sorry! For not letting you kill me? I’m sorry for that too! For ever having your stupid name on my arm!? I’m sorry! But I can’t apologize for loving you. Not anymore.”
“Baxter was right. You were never just family, Y/n,” He reached out and stroked my cheek. “You were always so much more than that.”
“Raphael don’t— don’t lie to me. Don’t play this game...” I whimpered, pulling away from him.
“I’m not.”
“But how can... you don’t... I’m...” The cries that I had been holding back finally made their exodus.
“Will you stop crying and listen,” There was a slight tease to his voice, but it remained gentle.
I sniffed and looked up at him. He smiled, timid and unlatched the guard from his forearm and let it fall to the ground. He turned his arm over, palm up and I saw delicately etched into his skin...
My name.
“But... you said...” I wiped my eyes and took his arm, my fingers trailing over the letters of my name trying to make sense of it.
“I lied, I had to lie.” He tried.
“No, you didn’t.” My voice was hard and cold. “I’ve spent the last year trying to figure out why your name was on my arm and you had no tattoo! Do you know how scared I’ve been!? To know that I might lose you!? And you’ve kept this from me!?”
“Y/n, I’m... I’m sorry.” He whispered. “Please, believe me, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know...”
I wrapped my arms around myself.
“Y/n,” It wasn’t Raph who pleaded to me, but Leo.
“Stay out of this,” Raph hissed.
“No, she needs to know,” Leo came up beside his brother.
“Know what?” I asked hopelessly.
“It was my fault,” Leo spoke softly. “I’m the one who told him to lie... I gave him the order to. I wanted to keep you safe from us,”
“So, you lied to me? You made him lie to me?” I squeaked.
“We didn’t know Y/n, please,” Leo sighed. “Be mad at me, hate me, but don’t blame him. He just wanted to keep you safe”
My eyes met Raphael’s. I could see tears brimming into his eyes. This was it. What I decided to do would change... everything.
“Of course, I forgive you,” I whispered. “I love you Raphael, and God damn me for it, but I do,”
He let out a hopeless laugh and pulled me into a close hug, pressing his lips back to mine. I relaxed under his touch, melting into the kiss. It was slow and steady this time. We weren’t in any rush. The weight of the world didn’t depend on us.
He seemed to realize that too as he scooped me up into his arms, breaking the kiss and carrying me off towards my apartment.
“I really am sorry,” He murmured into my skin as we curled up in my bed.
“I’m sorry too,” I whispered, stroking my name on his skin, marveling at it.
There were no walls between us now. We were bare to each other. No more dancing around the topic, no more stolen glances and awkward moments.
“When did you... tonight... the first kiss did it...?” I asked quietly. He smiled and stroked my hair.
“It did... by the time you pulled away, it was fading and all I could see was you... I clung to that. To you,”
I looked down and suppressed a smile, my cheeks flushing. His hand gently came up and tilted my chin back up so that I would look at him.
“Don’t hide from me,” He teased. “I love seeing you blush,”
“You make me do it so often,” I mumbled.
“I know,” He grinned smugly.
I made a face and stuck my tongue out at him. A playful growl left his lips.
“I think I told you not to do that,” He rolled over me, pinning me to the bed, holding his own weight so that all I felt was his warmth.
“Mmm. I think you told me to be careful about doing it,” I smirked, “but I’m done being careful around you,” I murmured, leaning up pressing a kiss to his lips.
He chuckled against my lips and followed me as I laid back, still kissing him. It was soft and slow, our breaths intermingling and our tongues figuring out how to dance with each other.
I small moan slipped from my throat as once again he consumed every thought and every sense I had. He matched my small moan with a light growl one of his hands trailing down my figure, sending a shiver down my spine—the other kept my hands pinned.
My breathing quickened and I had to pull away, my eyes meeting warm amber ones.
“You’re beautiful,” He murmured softly, pressing a kiss to my jaw. “Amazing,”—another kiss— “Smart,”—I turned my head to give him better leverage as he continued down my neck—“Sexy,”—kiss—“extraordinary,”—his tongue ran along my collar bone and a gasp escaped my lips— “and mine,”

A small AU bit on "The Darkness Within"
So, this small piece originally sprung up from a very simple idea. The original thought behind the monster in 2003 TMNT's "The Darkness Within" was that it granted each person's deepest desires and that's why it was so hard to break its hold. They didn't end up going that angle and Laird originally had Mikey's deepest desires as having an amusement part like ranch all to himself. That is not the deepest desires I see for Mikey at all. Hence, this short bit. @brightlotusmoon This one may turn into an AU story at some point:
***
"Leo! Where have you been?"
 The eldest turtle blinked, surprised. He knew this wasn't read but Michelangelo certainly looked the same even though the atmosphere didn't. They were on the stuck in an underground hell hole, not the Lair and yet the atmosphere around them looked like the home to a T. But then, it would make sense, he surmised. After all, Michelangelo had always been a fan of family and home. Though, it seemed that the other turtles couldn't appear in his hallucination.
 "Michelangelo..." Leo began, slowly, carefully. "I know this may seem odd but we aren't in reality."
 Blinking, Michelangelo responded "Whatta ya mean, we're not in reality?"
Taking another inhale, Leonardo confirmed, "It's a trap, a trick. Lies. That monster that took Angel's brother... it centers in on your deepest and darkest desires and makes them real."
 "Wh..what?" Michelangelo asked again, "This...isn't real?" He looked around, as if trying to make sense of such a thing, ran his fingers over the looked-so-familiar stone.
"No," Leo said softly, "It's all a mirage...
 "NO!" Michelangelo jerked away from his brother suddenly and sharply, rightly startling him. For all their spats at times, him and Leo usually got along so well. "No, stop lying to me! YOU'RE the illusion then!"
 Okay, okay, so this wasn't how Leo thought saving his brothers would go but he would amend and adapt. "Michelangelo, don't be foolish. We were all coming to save Angel's brother, remember?" He gestured around them "This isn't where we were. You know it."
 "We're ALWAYS trying to save somebody or stop someone!" Michelangelo argued. He paced, angry and Leo had never seen such intensive emotion from him before. "That's no proof!!"
 "Mikey," Leo tried, grasping his brother's arm "if this is real, then where are Donnie and Raph? Why can't we hear Donnie hammering away or Raph pummeling that punching bag and where is Master Splinter?"
 Michelangelo paused. "The..they're here. They're off doing..whatever it is they're doing."
 "No. They're not here because they are stuck in their own illusions," Leonardo corrected. "They can't appear!" He gestured around, once more. "Call them and see."
 "NO!" Michelangelo snapped again "You're crazy, bro!" He paced away from them, laid a hand on the Lair wall "RAPHAEL! DONATELLO! MASTER SPLINTER!"
 Silence.
 "C'mon, bros! Donatello! Raphael! Show Leo that he's WRONG Raph!"  He paused and when no response came, his skin paled, if only slightly. "Master Splinter?"
 He took off at a run and rushed through the entirety of the false-Lair. He came back, feeling flustered and reached for his Shell cell only to find it missing. "No, I always have it cause Donnie'll kill me if I don't or if I break it and..."
 Leo, feeling enough time had passed, stepped forward "Mikey this is an illusion. You have to accept it and then we can break free and save Donnie and Raph and Angel's brother."   "No!" Michelangelo pulled away again, putting his hands to his head "No, you have to be lying to me. The others will be back later. They will..."
 For all his patience, Leo was getting frustrated. He knew this would be difficult but Michelangelo was being ridiculous, "Michelangelo listen to your--"
 "Papa?"
 That soft, gentle voice shut the turtle leader up mid sentence.
 Appearing from behind Michelangelo in the 'door' of the Lair was a small child, female, entirely turtle in appearance. She stepped inward and approached the orange banded turtle, "Papa, what's wrong?"
 Leonardo felt like his world crumbled around him and his breath came short.
 Falling to his knees, Mikey stroked the girl's long black hair, "Nothin' it's nothin'."
 "Dad?" another voice called and from the side room appeared another turtle girl, slightly younger. Then from the same door that the first had come through, another child, male this time. "Dad?"
 "It's okay, everything...everything is okay. Your other uncles are gonna be back soon. Everything's okay..." Michelangelo repeated, though he was starting to breathe hard. He reached out and grasped each of the children tightly and pulled them tight into his chest. "It's...it's okay. Every-everything is fine. It's just fine." He buried his face into the youngest girl's dark black hair, "I...you're here. I'm here...we're all here."
 "Uncles Donnie and Raph and Grandpa aren't." the older girl argued. She pointed to Leonardo. "Just Uncle Leo."
 Michelangelo's face caved and tears gathered in his eyes, starting silent journeys down his cheeks. "N-no, they aren't."
Leo stepped forward, approached and stroked his brother's head. "No, they aren't here. That's why Mikey has to come with me...to find them. Cause I know Raph wouldn't turn down a chance to play with nieces and nephews. Donnie either. They'd be here, spoiling you all to death."
 Shaking some himself, Leo offered a hand to Mikey. Oh, those heart broken eyes that looked up at him. Those blurry baby blues that pleaded, begged, sobbed 'please don't tell me this isn't real.'
 Reluctantly, Michelangelo lifted a limp hand and let Leo clasp his and pull him to his feet. He stood slowly and then turned and stroked the hair of the eldest girl "You look after your brother and sister, okay?"
 She nodded firmly and stood firmly and tall. "You can count on me, Papa."
 He nodded, smiled with tears in his eyes, "I...I know I can." He lay a hand on the boy's shoulder "You keep these two from killing one another, okay?"
 He nodded, smiling "Uncle Leo taught me well, Dad." He reached out and wrapped arms around Leonardo who stiffened and then turned back to Mikey, "And I have your spirit!"
 Choking a bit, he nodded "y-you do."
 The youngest one pushed forward and pulled on Michelangelo's hand, "You'll be back, right Papa?"
 Michelangelo locked eyes with her and she looked up at him with blue eyes that were mirrors of his own. "I...I...I will..."
 She nodded and released his hand after a moment. He pulled away quickly and Leo wrapped an arm around him as they walked off.
 "Papa!"
 Michelangelo half turned.
 The girl had stuck a thumb into her mouth and she inquired, her voice quivering "Am I still your Masterpiece?"
 Tears rolling, Michelangelo stammered "Y-you'll always be my Masterpiece, Little Sistine."
 Turning away from the three, Michelangelo's voice quaked and broke as he screamed "It's all a lie! None of this is real!"
 The atmosphere shattered like glass.

Greetings from the Cabin 9 Craft Fair! Ret Mikey is running a bracelet making workshop and is wondering if you’d be interested in taking part! He has all sorts of beads and bands for you to use!
Tumblr media
(This is @tmnt-reticent btw! This is just my main blog!)
Vi stared at Mikey, before looking at the different choices of beads. "Hmm... Sure." She looked around, just to make sure her brothers weren't around. Good. She slowly picked out the perfect ratio of orange, gold, and pink beads.
She gently took some string, and began making the bracelet. Gold, orange, pink, gold, orange, pink... Over and over, making her bracelet a bit thick. She plopped it on the table. "There."

Vi placed her hand down where the marshmallows were. Or... At least where they were supposed to be. "WHO STOLE THE MARSHMALLOWS?!" Her yell echoed, and she stood up and immediately began brawling with Leo and Donnie.
