Verbanden & Geesten

Chapters 1 & 2 of Verbanden & Geesten, the 11 story in the Kanej Wensen series, are now up on A03.

This title, Ties & Ghosts, is quite literal as well as metaphorical. I went into some interesting challenges with this story. There's no smut, but plenty of action, emotion, and exploration. I even did my first Wylan POV, plus you get another OC POV. Chapter 3 comes tomorrow, after I comb through it one last time. It was the hardest chapter to produce, and one of the pieces that wrung every last emotion out of me while writing it. I sincerely hope my readers will relish seeing Kaz spend time at his family's farm after nearly a decade.

Summary for V&B:

Kaz deals with waiting for Inej to return, gang politics with the Razorgulls, redecorating his bedroom, getting a tattoo, and a visit to his childhood home. Jesper and Wylan visit the Slat, meet Krai, and help Kaz out with some gang politics, among other things.

Talk Too Much by COIN

Help-I've been listening to the same song for about an hour now because it reminds me so much of Wesper askdfgaksgdjkghfg

Most of the lyrics fit them well but the one that screams Jesper and Wylan to me is this part:

You know I talk too much

Honey come put your lips on mine and shut me up

First, when Jesper starts babbling like when he was saying, "I can't make you any promises. Or predict what may happen between us. But I can tell you that...I'd like to find out." and then when Wylan looks away to do that adorable smile of his Jesper panics a bit and says, "You may have gathered this about me, but silences, they really aren't my favorite thing." And then Wylan comes immediately to grab his face and kiss him.

Second, that deleted scene where Jesper offers him a key to his their room. Jesper says, "So...Is that a yes?" And Wylan responds right away with, "Yes. Yes. Yes, I will. I will move in with you." And Jesper said, "Oh, uh- move in. Uh, that certainly sounds very official. And none except that I'm- I'm not so-" And Wylan kissed him to make him shut up asdjhasdjkahsjkacnancajkd
