A new Team Rocket Takeover event has been announced in GO, running from Jan15 at 12am until Jan19 at 8pm, local time.

It adds Shroodle and Grafaiai to the game via 12km Eggs.

Recent page from my Pokemon fancomic, Shadow of the Sun. I was very proud of how this turned out that I figured I’d share as its own piece. This depicts the Divine Wheel, which is believed to be the form of the universe in the world of SOTS. Arceus, the All-Mother, is the creator—son Dialga the turner of the wheel—daughter Palkia the preserver—and child Giratina, who will end the world when the time comes and return everything to the Unknowable, where everything begins and ends. The 18 spokes represent the elemental types, which all Pokemon cycle through as they reincarnate.

The other day I had to go out shopping with my family, and while I usually hated shopping for once, I have found some pretty funny Pokémon merch (or rather, bootlegs).

Anyways, after this fun run I realised that there was the back of the box that shows all of the characters available and I’m just here to say that I wish I never saw it.

Charmander and Pichu aren’t bad ig, but the latter is a bit unexpected at this point.

James and Gary are There. Gary at least got the canon family so I can’t be too mad. James, however, is stuck with the last two of the pack imo, Gengar and Snorlax (Gen 1 who get GMax and a Mega/Z Crystal respectively… also just very well known mons) and now I’m scared if it’s an allegory for Meowth as a big cat and Jessie being dead or something. Or maybe I’m just reaching.

ALSO. Each part they have works into making a Dialga and Palkia, so there’s that. Maybe that’s the reason why they are all badly made and have been summoned to the White Space. Someone make a fanfic about it.

Further on my quest to find a small gift token for some people in a class I teach, I came upon this curious thing.

Wrong! Deoxys movie sticker be upon you!!! No, seriously, how did they get that as a sticker? I love the rep though, just wished we had all of the other characters too ngl to complete the pic. My brother loved the second Ash on the bottom pic, said it looked very smug, and honestly imagine using that sticker. For what occasion would it be most useful?? Also miscoloured OG Ash on the third row from the bottom my beloved, more 3D pics, Skitty in a Contest stage, DP Ash?? And Birch merchandise (we need that around here). Now there is one more sticker page left (it repeats the same pages afterwards), and I honestly gave up hope. And I was right to, but still, look at this lol:

The only Lucario you will ever get. That Croagunk one with Chimchar at the back. That one Ranger from that one Ranger’s special (I think the Deoxys one???). And of course, we can’t forget Shedinja.

So yeah, it was definitely a pretty eventful shopping day. I couldn’t get a picture of it, but there was this holographic picture in a frame that had Pikachu changing into different Kanto Starters, and another frame from another shop that flashed with Ash and the gang from multiple series (got jumpscared by XY help). Idk but that existed lol.

I've updated the relationship chart to be cleaner, more compacted, and with the additional mons that will be important. I've decided since Diantha will only be precent for Urain's child/young adult life, they'll be taken off the chart for the sake of my sanity.

I knew how I wanted Demo and Rose to come into existence, but it took a little brainstorming to find something that made sense for Mino as a walking pile of bones.

Synergy is both Biologically Jasper's but also also mutated within his body rather than growing inside an egg like mythicala are supposed to, so they're somewhat special.

Feel free to ask for any more context regarding my funny little fellas if anything interests you. ^3^

In the beginning, there was a vortex of chaos. All mixed slowly together, and everything was a blur. One day, a large egg appeared in the center of the chaos. For a long time, the egg continued to shake.

Eventually, the vortex stopped, and the egg broke. The absolute god Arceus was born.

The scattered fragments of the egg transformed into giants, and attacked the newly born Arceus. However, Arceus quickly grew, and continuously defeated the giants. At last, after a fierce battle, Arceus defeated all the giants.

The wounded Arceus created an alternate self. As the left and right side of Arceus’s body were different, it created two selves. Arceus gathered the body of the defeated giants, and poured its blood into them.

From the one who resembled his left poured out light, so Arceus named it Palkia, the god of light. From the one who resembled his right poured out darkness, so Arceus named it Dialga, the god of darkness.

To the two, Arceus commanded that the world be filled with people, and fell into a deep slumber.

Although Palkia and Dialga were different in appearance, they loved one another, were joined, and had many children. However, there still existed no world, and their frail children, who had nowhere to go, died one after the other. Though overcome with great sadness, Palkia and Dialga thought of creating a world where all could live healthy and prosperous lives.

Palkia and Dialga called their children Uxie, the god of eyes; Mesprit, the god of heart; and Azelf, the god of voice.

When Uxie open its eyes, everything that was there appeared. There was now contour and color in the world. When Mesprit wished for it, everything that was there could be felt. A sense of calm spread. When Azelf shouted, everything that was there trembled. A blessed timbre began to resonate.

To the three, Palkia and Dialga gave the seed of life and told them to nurture it.

The three gathered in a circle and prayed, and the seed sprouted.

The sprout quickly grew, and became the giant tree of life. However, the tree continued to grow, soon filling the entire world, and no one was able to move.

The three asked Father Palkia and Mother Dialga for help.

Dialga and Palkia joined once again, and had three children. The god of the sky, RAYQUAZA; the god of the earth, GROUDON; and the god of the ocean, KYOGRE were born.

RAYQUAZA wrapped its body around the tree of life. GROUDON and KYOGRE slammed their bodies into the tree of life. Eventually, the tree fell and broke into three pieces.

Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf prayed, saddened that the tree would rot away like this. Then, the pieces of the broken tree would transform into the sky, earth, and ocean.

RAYQUAZA became the pillar that holds the sky. The shadow that reached into the heavens became the three gods who sustain the sky: Dragonite, Gyarados, and Tyranitar. The air filled the sky, and the stars sparkled.

GROUDON became the land that covers the earth. The roar of the diving land became the three gods who sustain the earth: DAABU, SAAN, and GOODON. The earth shook, and the mountains stirred.

KYOGRE became the veins of water that embraced the oceans. The ripples that disappeared into the seas became the three gods who sustain the ocean: LATIAS, METAGROSS, and LATIOS. The ocean was filled with water, and the waves whispered.

Thus the world was born.

Palkia and Dialga, and the various gods, were very pleased with this, and filled this world with their children.

That peaceful world was a paradise for the children of god.

The children of god would continue to multiply.

Through that, words would change little by little.

Over time, the gods began would call those who lived in the world by two names.

The children of god who resembled the great father, Palkia, would be called “Pokémon”. The children of god who resembled the great mother, Dialga, were called “humans���.

The absolute god Arceus will soon awaken, and seeing the world filled with its descendants, will promise great abundance and prosperity.

Anyways, here’s my mad ramblings about Giratina and Arceus’s backstory.

Tldr: Giratina’s a conglomerate of angry souls scorned by Arceus.

How it Started.

The original one has chosen favorites over the passage of time. Heroes, legends, protagonists…

Arceus intervenes for those it loves, and the consequences of a god touching the mortal world is devastating in its entirety. One act of divine intervention causes entire civilizations to collapse. One whispered suggestion drives an entire legacy insane.

So Arceus, paralyzed by its love for the mortal world, acts very little, learning from its mistakes. Apathy soaks through every motion. And thus is the way of the world.

But people love the Originator. Religions are born from Arceus’s rare deeds, and generation on generation taught its benevolence. Imagine spending your entire life chasing after that golden light. Imagine knowing its real and there, and it loves you.

Imagine begging it for help, and seeing it turn away when you need it most.

I think those people would feel very abandoned indeed, if they spent their lives worshipping, and receiving no response at all.

Giratina is born from the abandoned, the lost, and the angry. They’re a hundred thousand souls who’s adoration turned to spite. They’re an entity who demands for Arceus to look at them, so they can finally rest.

Arcues can not look at them in full, because if it does Giratina will fade.

(Scio, beloved. For I can not let you go.)

So the Original One banishes the Unwanted Beast into the distortion world, and Giratina seethes, and starves, and screams.

(Here are two truths about the Beast Between Dimensions—

1. Some part of them still loves Arceus. Arceus is their anchor, after all— the sole reason why they exist, why they are. But Arceus can not love it back in a way that matters, and that hurts.

2. Giratina is made of a thousand voices. Some of these voices remember that there’s a world above. They miss it.)

Why Giratina attacked Hisui in PLA:

PLA Giratina’s not a new god, but they’re very, very bitter and barely coherent on a good day. Volo serves as a conduct to help unite the broiling mass of ghosts against Arceus, and thus Giratina’s hatred overcomes any flickering affections they have for the land.

It doesn’t help that Arceus intervened for Hisui, sending Akari to directly stop Volo from summoning Giratina.

(As for Volo, well.

Imagine being a child who was thrown into the future due to Palkia and Dialga’s fits, who learned his people (his world) no longer exist beyond a shadow in the history books and a single, bitter lore keeper.

Volo doesn’t remember his original culture beyond vague imprints and singing praises to Sinnoh, but he knew he was loved, and he knew his family is dust four hundred years in the past. There’s a special sort of rage in him that echoes Giratinas.)

(Why did you abandon my people, Arceus? What kind of god are you, to leave those who love you so callously behind?)

(Maybe some part of Giratina recognizes Volo, beyond a feeling of kinship.

Maybe some part of Giratina grieves because it recognized the child Volo was.)

When Volo gets his pound of flesh, (when he realizes Arceus is not beholden to him, that the inherent alien morality Arceus holds is not a personal slight), Giratina will finally rest.

Anyways what I’m trying to say is: Arceus is never a person, but a nebulous embodiment of the connection shared between pokemon and humans. It tries to experience what it’s supposed to embody, but millennia of watching people be and cease has given it choice paralysis, apathy, and a hoarding issue. If something lasts forever next to it? Good.

Giratina was once a person. (Correction, a LOT of persons.) They don’t think very linearly either, but they have context on mortal matters and are thus the more benevolent and malicious of the two. One day, time will smooth them into something like Arceus. We can only hope the two keep each other in check.

THE DIFFERENCE OF LEGENDS ARCEUS GIRATINA VS PLATINUM PEARL GIRATINA

If the ancient version of giratina is an angry conglomerate of ghosts scorned by Arceus, the modern iteration of Giratina’s a creature that’s more settled in its skin and more assured in its duties. Giratina still has beef with Arceus, but they unionized into one being who’s love of the mortal world has triumphed over its ancestral grudge. One might even postulate they have shifted their anchor from Sinnoh the god, to Sinnoh the place.

Kalos Trio Theory/Headcanon

This theory is based on the current "Teraleak" information, so open under the cut at your own risk, yada yada yada.

So, the 'Teraleak' includes a full telling of an early version of the Pokemon World's creation myth. Unlike the myth we know of "Egg -> Arceus -> Dialoga, Palkia, Giratina -> Lake Trio -> Arceus takes a nap," this telling goes far more in depth. To paraphrase from my understanding of it:

From the churning chaos and nothing, an egg emerged. The egg hatched into the Orignal One, Arceus, and the fragments of egg shell became Giants. These Giants tried to kill Arceus, but it grew too strong and too fast for them, and Arceus eventually killed all of its attackers. Too injured from the battle, Arceus gathered the Giants' corpses and poured its blood into them, creating Dialga and Palkia in its own image. The Original One proceeds to take a nap.

Palkia's sound lets space grow, while Dialga's steps let time flow. Now being the only two things concious in the universe, Palkia and Dialga fall in love(?) and create the Lake Trio, who bring their respective aspects to the young universe.

Palkia and Dialga gift the Lake Trio a seed and command them to look after it. The Trio pray, growing the tree bigger and bigger, but it grows out of control, taking up the space of everything. The Trio are forced to knock it down, where the Tree of Life then splinters into three pieces.

Three other deities, those of the earth, waters, and air, (One toasty godzilla, one large whale, and one snekky boi respectivelly, to be precise) take these three pieces and create the land, seas, and skies.

Beta-Giratina is born from Rayquaza's shadow as it holds up the skies.

Now obviously, Giratina has been changed to have been created with Dialga and Palkia, rather than as a dark spectre of Rayquaza, but that got me thinking: what if that role went to someone else? Not that exact train of thought didn't really get me anywhere, but it did lead me to the idea of the Kalos Trio being related to this Tree of Life. Not only are they based on norse creatures who resided in Yggdrasil, the Norse Tree of Life/World Tree, but they perfectly encapsulate the Tree's ideals, and a growing universe.

Palkia and Dialga brought space and time. The Lake Trio brought beauty, emotion and joy to the universe. The Weather Trio brought the world as we know it to the universe. But what is yet to be mentioned? Life.

I propose that Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde were the gods this tree created. Xerneas, to oversee its beginning. Yveltal, to oversee its end. And lastly Zygarde, to oversee the journey between. A somewhat more flimsy connection is that I believe the Kalos Trio and the Weather Trio are the only actual red/blue/green legendary trios.

Its possible that left unchecked, the Kalos Trio are why the Tree of Life grew so out of control. Xerneas flooding it with life, Yveltal's death causing it to smother everything else, and Zygarde keeping it orderly enough for the process to run unopposed. The Weather Trio, in turn, create the wider world so the Kalos trio and their powers have an open, safe expanse to flourish in.

One of the reasons I would love seeing a revival and sequel to the Orre games is the potential of Shadow Pokemon is terrifying, considering just how many Pokemon that are essentially gods have been introduced since Gen3.

Like, special mention to Darkrai, who can cause unending nightmares and sleep if the victim is left untreated by the Lunar Wing (and this is normally unintentional), or the embodiment of death and destruction Yveltal, which could easily wipe out entire towns, or Eternatus, a Pokemlon that has base stats much higher than Arceus in its Eternamax form, or hell, even the creation trio, with dominion over space, time, and antimatter.

Just imagine how bad things would be if any of these guys got corrupted to the extent Lugia did:

Or even on a smaller scale, there's dangerous Pokemon like Mega Gengar that regularly seeks out lives to take (a villain in the movies works out how to Mega Evolve a Pokemon without a bond being needed, I imagine one of Cipher's scientists could do the same thing) or mass brainwashers like Malamar or Aegislash that could be used to "recruit" new members:

From this post. I want to show everyone my Darkrai in Twisted Wonderland! This is some of my plot and idea about that!

....Yeah, I just turned a maniac pokemon into a cinnamon-roll-boy who full of anxious-

I know that PMD Darkrai isn't a shiny, but his sprite used these colors so I used it too. If you wonder why his eyes color before/after came to Twisted Wonderland are different, I'm gonna tell you later.

Anyway, from what I said in the last post. After he (because in PMD used he/him, so I will use it accordingly) got attack by Palkia while he trying to escape, Darkrai losing his memories and end up in Twisted Wonderland as a human.

By the words "losing his memories", it's mean almost everything. It's like how Player end up as a Pokemon with no memory in the game, they know what is Pokemon, what is human and many things, but still can't remember many things either. In Darkrai's case, he can't remember his name or his old life, but still can remember what is pokemon. He knows that he was a Pokemon not a human. He just can't remember which one of Pokemon is he or how he turned into a human. His memory and his personality was reset almost to the zero.

Darkrai woke up in a dark and cramped coffin, a feeling of discomfort and pain spread throughout his body.

Why is he in the coffin??? Who put him in the coffin!? -wait- is that a flame!?

This poor amnesic boy started panicking when he saw blue flames emanating from the coffin lid, he immediately kicked the coffin lid out with all his strength.

Grim was an unlucky one who standing in front of the coffin in that moment.

The first thing Darkrai thought when he met Grim was: What kind of pokemon is this kid? (Meowth? Espurr?? Litten???).

But after the first encounter between Grim and Darkrai, it was followed by death threats from Grim. Darkrai run away and Grim chasing him for the robe which he was wearing right now-but he can't remember how he got it.

Darkrai accidentally used his power to cross the shadows when dodging Grim's flames for the first time, and he didn't even notice.

Darkrai, who had just escaped from the angry cat-like pokemon(?), gasping for breath while confused what just happened, and realized something when he saw his reflection.

He is human...

But he not supposed to be human

He don't know how, but he knew that he shouldn't be a human. He was a pokemon!

...He might not sure which species he was, but he sure that he was a pokemon before.

Time for panic and fear when he realized he had no memory and was now being chased in a strange place.

Darkrai met headmage Crowley, he saved him from Grim and tried to take him to the orientation ceremony.

It didn't help him so much when he tried to explain his situation to Crowley, and of course! he doesn't listen...

And when Darkrai standing before the mirror of darkness, in the eyes of many people who were staring at him at that moment. This happened.

'State your name'

"I-I can't..."

'Louder!'

"I'm sorry! I can't remember my name!"

Sounds of confusion and question sounded around him. Darkrai was really uncomfortable with all of this. But the Dark Mirror still read his soul to assigned him in some dorm.

...if that can happen.

'The nature of your soul is...' '.........unclear to me' 'It's so dark...this soul is too dark for me to read it. I can't sense magical power from this one. Soundless. Colorless. Shapeless. Utterly vacant. Therefore, no dorm would be appropriate.'

Crowley began to cry out in disbelief that the black carriage receive a person who cannot even use magic (but Darkrai didn't came here by the black carriage...). Grim demanded that he can be a student here instead Darkrai.

Annnnd You know what happened next.

The Chamber of Mirror set on fire. One student had flames on his robe. Now everything is in chaos and out of control.

Darkrai was stressed, he feel not safe, he had a headache, he wanted to get out of here right now.

'I don't know if I thought of it or not... But I felt that the pain on my body was growing more and more as my headache....'

After they manage to capturing Grim, it wasn't long before Darkrai can given Crowley any excuses or clarifications. He collapsed to the ground and fainted in front of everyone.

And when Riddle go to check on him…

"Headmage! He's bleeding right now!"

It was the time for everyone's turn to panic as they rushed to take him to the infirmary. We have a no-magical student who is bleeding and seriously injured right here! Get out of the way!

(I don't belive that being thrown across dimensions from the attacked of God of Space-Time would not left anything behind. Of course, he must have suffered some injuries, and it's not just a little wound too.)

Grim still here with Crowley with Riddle's collar on his neck. The only reason he hasn't been throw out is because our headmage still believes that he is Darkrai's familliar.

What a messy ceremony.

This poor boy is very confused and panicked, his stress will only get worse because of all the Overblots and his own problems in the future.

They announced the Presents already! I hope we get a Zacian/Zamazenta raid event (colours based on the game I expect them to appear in)

Diving through the leaks from today (I have not slept yet) in regards to the cut gen 5, 4, and even 3 content has been such an adventure. I feel like I've discovered several more AUs in which 1 small decision could have had a ripple effect on the franchise for years to come.

Especially the gen 4 beta lore that was apparently dug up. Yall thought shit was religious now, they had a straight up PANTHEON planned. Not to mention it makes that church suddenly make sense- this wasn't just worshipping a Pokemon, this was literally a god with god like mythos. Like Arceus hatched from an egg in the middle of chaos at the beginning of time, his own egg shards became GIANTS that tried to kill him, and Arceus rapidly grew and beat them all. He made Dialga and Palkia to be his alter egos out of his own blood and to be God's of time and LIGHT, apparently, and Dialga and Palkia LOVED EACH OTHER- not hated and tried to kill each other, LOVED EACH OTHER. HAD CHILDREN. And assuming I read correctly, those two had the lake trio, who made the tree of life, destroyed it, and Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre were born. It's pretty hardcore and confusing stuff. The giants stuff absolutely puts the Fighting Plate lore into perspective with its text "the power of giants fills this plate with power" or something.

I think it's pretty obvious why it was all cut or severely dumbed down, but it is actually very interesting to see that at some point, they were extremely dedicated to the world building of the franchise before they kinda said "fuck it it's whatever now."

On a mechanical end, it's also incredibly interesting. Gen 5 was almost the gen to introduce 3d models for players, apparently. I think it's pretty obvious why they went with an enhanced 2.5d approach, given the ds wasn't ready for much beyond ps1 graphics, but it's still incredible to think that was even a concept at the time.

And the lost beta Pokemon, oh my God. Gen 3 had a bunch that were eventually redesigned. Lickylicky in gen 4 almost made sense because it's body looked READY TO ROLL OUT! Archeops in gen 5 was almost cool af with some slightly different proportions. There's just a bunch that go completely unused.

And characters- yall, Team Galactic almost served cunt. Saturn almost was cool, and Mars and Jupiter would have DONE something to people. There's also in depth profiles on certain characters- Skyla was apparently modeled after Jennifer Lopez and was coded to be Hispanic. Each gen 5 gym leader had races assigned to each, and a real life inspiration behind each.

Even mechanics are talked about- a lot of scrapped ideas, such as one from Morimoto that was basically Pinkan Pokemon from Orange Islands but shifting your Pokemon's colors depending on the berries they ate. Masuda apparently had some reservations about following Pokemon- hence why it was so limited in DP and other games he directs.

It's information like this that really amazes me. So much of what could have been, so much info fans have theorized just kinda confirmed in some cases. I wish they'd talk about this stuff, because this is all genuinely interesting to see. Genuinely, I want to know the thought processes going on for some of these ideas and designs.

Cepheus once had a brother named Aladar who he now hates, due to the fact that he reset his universe therefore wiping out the memories of his dear nephews. He still keeps an eye on his brother, cementing his hatred for him even further. He misses the time when his brother was young.

He has three children: Kasimir, Orion and Genera. A giratina, palkia and dialga. He regularly goes to visit them. His best friend is a mew called Kel. Kel is someone who has experienced most of what he's experienced, being the original mew from his first universe.
