the real question is why Rhysand and co makes the court of nightmares live under a mountain and expects them to be vaguely fucking normal. Would you be normal if you'd never seen the sun? a blooming flower? felt fresh air? Or would you be batshit insane and violent after seeing nothing but stone, stale air, and the same fucking people you've seen all your life??????? Idc if people hate me for it, I'm a CoN sympathizer. These people are fucking victims repeating the cycle trying to survive an entire world that hates them, a leader that will never stand for them or protect them. If Nesta had been sent there like Mor wanted her too, she only would have hated Rhysand more after seeing the abuse.

Soooo, we are 2-0 on SJM female characters (specifically the Archeron sisters) in ACOTAR relationships built on being forced together put in the same location without the option of leaving. And this happened *checks notes* to Feyre twice, three times if you count her going ‘under cover’ in Spring. I’m not sure about you guys but I got a bad feeling.
Elain, sweetie, I don’t mean to alarm you but…

It is funny to me how Harry Potter is literally the main character, yet people tend to go like he didn't suffer that much or he wasn't "abused"; Like, how can one misunderstand the literal main character of the damn franchise?
He wasn't abused; yes okay. He absolutely did not grow up inside a cupboard; the tiny place that is mostly reserved for brooms or cleaning supply. He absolutely was not treated inferior to the other child who lived in the same house. He was totally was not treated like a "freak" or a "stain" that his family was ashamed off. He grew up inside a cupboard while there was a literal unused bed in the same house. And you want to know what that screamed to a child, a baby — who slept inside a cupboard while there being a perfectly usable room right there? You are worth nothing and we don't love you and we are ashamed of what you are.
He wasn't starved, or at least he was fed; Yeah, no. We see it from the first book. How Vernon was no food for you and in the cupboard you go — and by the looks of it, that was like his most common punishment. And then, in the second book — you practically see it happen. He was locked, inside a room with only a can of soup that he shared with Hedwig. Now, tell me what it would do to a child — to be given food through a cat flap, and fun fact? Harry got to eat less than people on war rations; in short? He was starved, yes.
He wasn't abused physically so it's not abuse; As for people's thinks abuse isn't abuse until it's physical (which is inherently wrong because abuse isn't only physically, fyi); Harry has learned to dodge Vernon and he states that, very proudly when his uncle tries to grab him. He dodges a flying pan and states that fact, again very proudly as if it is the norm; do you know how heavy pans are? And do you know what would happen when one hits you? If you want an even clearer proof; Vernon Dursley strangles Harry in Ootp. There you go. Also, in the first book, we clearly see Vernon encouraging Dudley to hit Harry. Read between the lines and actually try to understand what that signifies.
And favourite part; When he wasn't treated like a prisoner, or a freak— he was their servant. And that is very much canonical. Tending Petunia's garden during summers and drinking from the water hose in the garden because of how hot it was? Having to wake up early so he can tend the kitchen and when he wasn't doing all that he is locked away. And it is all canon.
In conclusion, Harry— not only grew up to think that he was inhumane, undeserving of love, a freak that didn't even get to have his own bed because someone like him didn't deserve it, physically harmed enough times that he dodges them out of reflex and also the Dursleys' glorified servant; that is not even taking into account what Harry went through in Hogwarts. And after all that if someone tells me; this child, right here — didn't go through much then well, maybe read the books again?

Hey adults: Why do you like being an adult? What do you like about your life?
A couple weeks ago I told the kids at my work that "Being an adult is pretty nice, actually," and they looked shocked, laughed incredulously, and told me I was the first person they'd ever heard say that
So clearly we adults need to talk about this way more often
The past few years have been hard for a lot of people, me included. Covid sucked. I lost three relatives and three pets in one year. Right after lockdown ended, I got badly injured, and ended up housebound for six months and (much more) disabled for two years, and that sucked too.
And you know what? Literally all of that was easier and better than being a teenager.
I like being an adult. I like my life. Even when it's hard, it's mine, and I am building to the best of my ability the a life that I want to live.
I talked about a lot of why being an adult is something worth looking forward to in my last post, so right now I'll simply say this:
I love actually knowing who I am now. I love that I learned and am learning what I want and need. I love that I have independence and autonomy and don't get treated like a kid. I love the fact that I'm the one who gets to decide want I want to do and what I need. I also love that I'm learning to sew. I love that I've had pet rats, and next will have a pet cat. I love that I got top surgery. I love the way I've decorated my room. I love traveling to visit and crash and even just hang out and do work with my friends, when I can. I love that I started reading good news every day, and that I actually have hope for the future, and that I started this blog and have been able to help give so many other people hope, too.
So, here's a call to action for my fellow adults: comment or reply or tag what you like about being an adult. What you love about your life.
Let's give some kids some reasons for hope.

The thing about mahiru tsuyuzaki is that for someone who consistently sees herself as behind her classmates in skill, in both the show and movie she has very commanding stage presence. Obviously the revue of competition is the more direct example of this, but the first chunk of the revue of jealousy is essentially her toying with Karen in a way that’s not too dissimilar to how Maya treats her in the revue of pride, just played a bit more for comedy. Considering many of the revues show the participants being on close footing skill wise and focusing more on the individual’s willpower (again, barring Maya and Nana in the anime) both of the revues mahiru is in she’s the star even if she doesn’t always see it.

So, yknow how historical figures sometimes have nicknames or titles they're referred to by? Like Queen Mary I being known as Bloody Mary. I was thinking about what Kipperlilly would be known as in the history of Solace.
Picture if you will you're a citizen of Solace reading a history book or wikipedia-esque article about one the legendary Bad Kids' worst enemies and this is what the intro says:
Kipperlilly Copperkettle also known as Kipperlilly Copperpetal, Copperlilly Kipperpetal, Cippergililly Kepperpetal, Kipperface Pennybottle, Kindlesnap What's-her-face, Kettlechip Krispy-kreme, Clamface Cunthead, Cottoncandy Bitchfuck, Mollykiggins Kippermedley, Milky River, Biscuit, and Littledoggy Girlcollar. She is also sometimes referred to as The Clerickiller. It's unclear whether or not she was actually a teenage halfling girl or just four different dogs.

I love Amanda and Johns dynamic because 90% of the time I’m like: Oh my god Dad and his daughter!
But the other 10% of the time I’m like: John exploited Amanda, he set her up and groomed her to be his apprentice. He put her in a situation that would make her extremely emotionally vulnerable and then took advantage of it, used her at her lowest point. He seeked her out, he choose her from a rehab clinic. She was choosing to heal in rehab, she was taking that step herself. And then John took her from that. He manipulated her and stole any chance at a normal life. Amanda could’ve ended up healing but because John took her at her most vulnerable she ended up traumatised and dead. One test wasn’t enough, two tests weren’t enough. He tested her three times and she died because she failed One time. I hate you John.
And then the other 90% I’m like: Awwe my cute saw family:3 they are going on a picnic!

♡ To this day, I wonder what Minhyeok saw in the MC, because to this day I can't find any logic why being in love with a person for so long is impossible for me and knowing that the MC is kind of stupid... if I could, I would sit next to him and ask him why? Among so many good people, he chose MC.

Let’s say that the Az BC was actually a Lucien BC. Let’s say that Lucien had a similar inner monologue during the same interactions with Elain…
…calling her ‘the third’.
…describing touching her as ‘so wrong’.
…emphasizing several times what HE needed from her body.
…claiming he hadn’t thought about a future with Elain beyond the ‘fantasies he pleasured himself to’.
…being willing to kill any other male for showing an interest in her.
Imagine Lucien’s flames becoming embers in Elain’s presence and him pointing it out too.
Imagine Lucien leaving that interaction, after calling almost kissing Elain a mistake, then immediately interacting with another female who caused his chest to spark as he imagined her reaction to receiving the gift he’d originally bought for Elain.
Honestly, even thinking about Lucien doing this gives me the biggest ick, because Lucien would NEVER even think of doing any of this to any female, let alone his mate, but…let’s just consider it.
Can you imagine anyone in the fandom trying to claim that Elain and Lucien were endgame after a BC like this? It would be SO obvious that the author is showing that Elain and Lucien are not compatible beyond their physical attraction even with a bond. No one would be able to argue that the Elucien ship had sunk.
And the way people would rip Lucien to shreds kinda like everyone did to Tamlin for thinking about Elain this way and use it as clear evidence that the bond will be rejected…Even I, a fierce Lucien supported and defender, would hate to even consider defending this kind of behavior from him.
Yes, the big difference between the two BC’s is the existence of a bond between Elain and Lucien. But that just proves my point even more because everyone would be screaming about the obvious rejected-bond foreshadowing because of his behavior.
So why is this behavior considered romantic because Azriel does it? Why does it seemingly confirm to some that Az and Elain are destined to be together? Why is this less obvious because it’s Azriel?
As a BC alone, this chapter makes it pretty clear that E/riel just doesn’t work even when they tried. If they were that compatible, Az would never have been able to stay away from Elain. This was the same guy who told Rhys to chain him to a tree and he would still rip it up to defend his loved ones. He truly believes that the cauldron was wrong and that Elain is his mate? Well, Cassian couldn’t stay away from his mate. Even while dying, he still crawled to Nesta.

Read an infuriating post about The Bad Batch once that went along the lines of this:
“Echo can keep rescuing the regs with Rex or something, lol, but the rest of the Batch deserve to settle down in Pabu at the end of the series!”
Or something.
Or something.
Yeah, that’s our Echo.
Tumblr media
Our ARC trooper, who blew up in battle, spent years as a POW, had his body and mind used as a twisted science experiment to the point where he’s not even considered a regular member of the army anymore, commando, resilient, bad-ass pilot, soldier, dude who had the opportunity to run away like a fucking coward and he said NAH SON THAT AIN'T ME, GIVE MOMMA BIRD HER BEATING STICK and proceeded to run right back into danger to save his brothers using his screwdriver hand and his RAGE and his MAN SKIRT and his MIGHTY FURROWED BROW and FUCK YOU IF YOU'RE GONNA STOP MOMMA BIRD FROM RESCUING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE BABIES.
“Or something”.
Tumblr media
Gotta also love how rescuing slaves - their biological siblings, people they grew up with - is less important than retiring on paradise according to this clown.
Echo's goals for saving his people is seen like a fucking HOBBY.
And this, the last episodes of the series, this badass shines like a goddamned diamond. Folks I am VINDACTED.
Tumblr media
Echo rescued his brothers and sisters.
Echo helped destroy an Imperial facility that effectively ended testing on clones, what he went through.
Echo convinced one of the scientists to help him keep unraveling the Empire's evil plans at the end of the series, even though he had a home on paradise AND HAD EVERY REASON TO GIVE IT UP.
I fucking love Echo.
OR SOMETHING!

Why do the IC of Feyre expect Nesta to play house with them when they can't respect her boundary with Solstice? She told Feyre it wasn't 'their holiday', which already makes it clear that she's uninterested in adapting to fae traditions. It's not a personal insult, it's a boundary that makes complete sense.
Solstice is a religious holiday, where you thank the mother, or whatever. Given that The Mother seems to come in tandem with The Cauldron, not wanting to celebrate it after what they went through makes complete sense. Now that I think about it, Feyre spends ACOMAF being mad that Tamlin and Ianthe did this to her; Forced her into uncomfortable social situations with people she didn't want to be around.
To Nesta, it's Feyre's birthday but nothing more, in which case, Feyre could've invited Nesta to a brunch with her and Elain. Nesta literally invited them to eat with her, but Feyre said no. If they had a conversation, I'm sure that they would've found a place to eat together that suited all of the, even if it was just at Nesta's apartment, or a day when the town house was empty. Or maybe one of Rhysand's other six houses.
There were so many work arounds that would respect Nesta's boundaries, probably go farther to helping her heal, and been fun for all of them. A win win situation.
Besides, if you invited someone to your celebration of a religious holiday, and they said 'no' out of respect for their own culture, religion, traditions, or just because they didn't want to, wouldn't you just accept the answer and move on?
On top of all this, Cassian through a temper tantrum the moment Nesta rejected his gift. Dude, if you used all that intelligence you supposedly have as a General, you'd realise what the issue is.
