Neopets is so funny right now. It's a 24-year-old website and half its pages haven't been updated in 15 years. Its ostensible audience is children. The core active audience appears to be nostalgic 20-40-year-olds. Old code means no accounts or pets can ever be renamed. The virtual pound is full of virtual pets named after Justin Bieber. It has an economy and inflation is rampant. New ownership is combating this with the stimulus of random super-rare items via daily quests and events, while the equivalent of Neopian Upper-Crust complain that their investments are deflating. You can't say seaweed or grapes.

hi everyone sorry to make another post, but I was sick with a sinus and ear infection that I had to miss 4 days of work to recover from. I just need enough to get out of the negatives and pay for my car insurance, which is $160. I’ll hopefully be getting a second job remotely soon but until then I am a little bit fucked.

Hello!! I made some test sticker sheets. However, they didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, so I don't want to sell them for full price. And any less than that, given Et*y's fees, would have me in the red, so I'm giving them away as freebees with another purchase in my shop!

Please note that these are B-grade because they are transparent and there is color variation.

I hope to make some more, actual sticker sheets I can sell in the future!

And here we are again… kit “add-ons” being put behind a paywall for 3 weeks.

Just because you recoloured or tweaked meshes a little bit DOES NOT give you the right to paywall these items.

I’ve also realized that people are doing this more and more. Editing EA meshes the slightest bit, calling them their own and then putting them up for early access.

There are SO many creators that make original meshes, put lots of time and effort into making ORIGINAL content and are not charging people for it. I am all for making money off of your work, but so many creators are blinded by it.

People will support you if they want to. If you deserve it, it will happen, i promise.

I’m so tired. I’m tired of having the same conversations.

A lot of the ones I have up currently are limited stock, and once they're sold out I'll have to take some time to restock. All buttons are 1 inch in diameter and plastic-backed, but I'm hoping to eventually be able to branch out into other sizes and metal-backed buttons. I also do custom designs (2$ for 1, 15$ for 10).

Having a semi-niche object/aesthetic based interest is so funny. You’ll get into it when it’s pretty much just you and 10 other freaks and you’ll usually pretty easily find affordable stuff online to add to your collection, but the harder to find stuff is often largely lost to time.

But then the interest suddenly gets more attention and the harder to find stuff suddenly pops up as well as things you’ve never seen before, but now it’s gone in an instant, and much of the more accessible stuff starts becoming less common and more expensive. But it’ll still be juuuuust niche enough that there’s not enough interest to convince manufacturers to like, take advantage of it and make new stuff. And then after a few months to a year it dies out and goes back to normal. It’s a weird, weird balance.

Anyways shout out to the rise of Frutiger Aero and its sub-genre HelveticaAqua. I’m glad we’re holding hands.

mother-of-pearl carving is a traditional craft in bethlehem; said to have been brought over by franciscan monks from italy in the 15th century. the tradition is still going strong today.
