The #distance. it's been 275 days since I've seen on the the summit road near the Santa Cruz mountains. It didn't talk much but I knew it wasn't going to harm me. What did it look like?. Today I realized that the more I begin to love myself, the less my tolerance for other people's nonsense becomes. What that means is that the more time I spend to improve myself, spoil myself and ensure that I enjoy my own company, the less I actually care about other people's views/drama/opinions. The wasted effort I gave to ensure everyone's happy and walking on eggshells in society , I could have used to make myself happy instead and watching a good series. 😅 How can you be walking on eggshells for other people, but not yourself? I have a lot of growing up to do as a person, I'll admit. Right now, I'm a very complicated person. But I think I'm getting there. As we all are on our own time. None of us are the same as the other. Sisi baik dari rasa kecewa adalah bahwa kita bisa memahami arti dari setiap pilihan yang telah kita tetapkan dalam hidup, bahwa di balik pilihan-pilihan itu akan selalu ada konsekuensi yang juga harus kita terima sebagai bagian dari pilihan. Dari rasa kecewa kita juga bisa belajar bahwa kita tidak perlu mencintai setiap orang yang kita temui dan menyambut mereka dalam dunia kecil kita. Percayalah, akan sangat melelahkan bagi kita untuk menghujani mereka semua dengan kasih sayang dan menjaga hati mereka tetap utuh. Tetapi bukan berarti kita bebas berbuat hal-hal buruk juga, mengabaikan mereka, atau tak mempedulikan mereka. Saya tentu tak meminta itu dilakukan. Percaya atau tidak, konon cinta dan kasih sayang seseorang itu terbatas, seperti halnya waktu yang kita punya di bumi ini yang juga (amat) terbatas. Karena itu, kita harus bijak memilih beberapa orang yang memang pantas mendapatkan perhatian dan kasih sayang kita agar kita tak membuangnya sia-sia pada mereka yang memang tak pantas menerimanya.
