i have so many thoughts about luo binghe rising early from the endless abyss but instead of joining huan hua palace he returns to qing jing peak for revenge, believing his shizun must be happy and celebrating, but instead he finds a grief-stricken shen qingqiu who calls out for binghe like he's still there and who sits at his sword mount for hours every day, holding himself in a state of inedia and neglecting the care of without-a-cure like he's punishing himself; and binghe decides then and there that no one can look after his shizun and keep him safe like he can, and his shizun clearly needs him even if he doesn't want to see him, so he follows shen qingqiu in secret and helps him from the shadows

you know one of my favorite little bits in volume 1 is during the demon invasion:

“Shen Qingqiu kicked Luo Binghe aside, having made his preparations. With this one strike, he’d ensure there were no winners.

However, he was not sent flying by Sha Hualing’s palm strike, nor did he cough up fresh blood as his body self-destructed and killed him.”

sqq, poisoned and knowing he can’t beat shl like this, prepares to take her down with him through self destruction. this is SO early on in the novel and on the first read, you don’t really know what he’s talking about. how can he prepare for there to be “no winners”? anyway i love him. guy who won’t shut up about prioritizing his own life while falling on every sword available

sue me but I think Shen Yuan as an old man with crow's feet, laugh lines, and gray streaks in his hair could cure Bingge completely. It would just fix All of his problems.

What if being poisoned with Without a Cure also means that the body is suddenly allergic to a LOT of things.

So cultivation prefers a cultivator from getting sick and all, right? It also makes a person not allergic to the things they otherwise would be allergic to.

And guess what? A lot of people gain new allergies when going through puberty or becoming an adult. (Also can find yourself no longer being allergic too.) But since cultivators start cultivating in their teens... while puberty is happening...

Yeah everyone was surprised when Shen Yuan suddenly turned red and clutched his throat, unable to breath, in a meeting.

At first, they assumed he was being poisoned. Shen Yuan was later able to eat those peanuts without a problem later.

But then it happened again.

And again.

And then Mu Qingfang finally determined that Shen Yuan was having anaphylactic shock when specific foods whenever his Without a Cure starting acting up. He has to be super careful when eating shrimp. and fish. and eggs. and soy...

And the list of foods he can't eat when Without a Cure hits him just keeps growing longer and longer...

hii. your uncaring or cold f/o does in fact care quite a lot. especially in moments of weakness.

yes they care whenever you feel tired, burnt out and maybe they won't say anything. maybe it comes off like they don't care, but that would be ignoring how they find themselves taking up whatever work there might've been to do so you can rest a while longer without complaint. any 'oh you don't have to-'s get brushed off with a little 'go lay back down' or something similar. the shortness isn't because they're irritated, no, it's just because it's a little silly to them- yes, obviously they don't have to, but they're going to because they love you. maybe that's a little too sappy for them to voice, maybe they do reveal that, either way they'll find their way back to you whenever everything's set away and done. whether they're laying down with you or just sitting nearby and working on their own thing, they keep themself within arm's reach should you need anything.

yes they care whenever you're feeling sick or riding out any nasty symptoms. they'll go make any trips out for things you want or need without question, maybe making a quick promise that they'll be right back. maybe it's a little silly to think you're going to keel over in the handful of minutes they're at the store for, but they just don't want you to feel like you're suffering alone. they might not be feeling out whatever it is you are, but they still want to keep you company through it. maybe they hover just a little, if only just to monitor your symptoms, but rest assured they really don't mind doing whatever it is that makes you feel better. if you want a specific food or drink they'll be running through the rain if they have to to get it to you. if you wanna shower or take a bath but don't have the energy to set it all up or to really take care of yourself they're meticulous with it, setting out whatever they can remember you liking and what might help you feel better and keeping any touches gentle and delicate. if you just wanna lay down and have them nearby, they're happy to just stick around, so long as you can spare them the glances they're sneaking at you every now and then while you rest, relishing in the comfort and safety of the moment.

do you ever just remember how one of the most effective things parvis said to get silence to lose faith in saria was essentially "do you really think she would ever choose YOU over everything?" and silence with her low self esteem really didn't believe saria would.

Then in the end saria really did choose them over everything, left her defense director job and her whole life up to that point behind for the sake of silence and ifrit. and silence still doesnt even know. do you ever think about that and lose your mind a little bit.

ive been thinking about the 'mqf finds out sqh is god' thing you said and honestly. i think the best way for it to happen is that someone completely random tells him like 'maybe you should ask sqh for a cure seeing as he made the plant to begin with'. everyone who knew kinda assumed he already did too. this is news to him. tf you mean the most pathetic little meow meow of a martial brother is god. horror violin chord. sqh is already running. adios compadre he knows that the difference between medicine and poison is the dose and believe you him he would make another cure if he could but even 'gods' gotta eat mu-shidi!!!

I AGREE Actually think everyone at An Ding Peak knows very well Shang Qinghua is a God either that he told them or they just worked with him long enough that they went "Hey he DEFINITELY isn't normal" which then spread around towards everyone else and somehow left poor Mu Qingfang out of the loop.

He's unfortunately god, and I don't blame him for what he's going to do to Shang Qinghua once he finds out.

just thinking about how binghe had no idea that without-a-cure even had a cure and he spent all his years as a disciple thinking his shizun would at best be disabled for the rest of his life and at worst die a slow and painful death, and it was to save him.

I love the series where a blue alien partners up with a pink haired protag with the space theme. B) no, but actually these series do have a lot in common and I think anyone whose a fan of one of them should def check out the other!! 🌟

Fuck it we ball, golden route were they all team up and rule over Fódlan together. Canon won’t let them be happy and alive together so I have to do it (+ soldier,poet,king reference since it’s literally them)
