i hate that the sonic movies get more advertising and attention from the general public than other sonic media does for a number of reasons but one thing that is particularly annoying to me right now is that because of this when a new sonic game or comic or cartoon or literally anything else that im actually excited for happens nobody seems to notice or care that it exists but now that the big new sonic thing (sonic 3) is something that im not really looking forward to at all im constantly being asked and told about it.. like come onnnnn

This was done four days ago (Jan 21) but I still wasn’t feeling good so I neglected to post it anywhere. Kept it around for myself mostly.

#think I was either listening a lot to ‘Messy-Lola Young’ or ‘at least I’m pretty-Harriette’#during the sketching process #maybe some version of instrumental for Car Radio too I can’t recall. was kinda zoning out #anyways the dreading feeling of inadequacy haunts me often #my esteem tumbles and falls frequently but I can’t catch a grip this year it seems #got me worried that I could be experiencing more than simple burnout or laziness #I don’t want to go back to experiencing anhedonia again #anyways haha silly puzzle guy got injured whoopsies #I just wish I wasn’t regressing into that low confidence spiral again #I don’t want to be the kind of person who uses self-deprication and personal belittlement as a shield from feared criticism #but all my shortcomings are so glaringly obvious to me. Everthing I could be doing better. Especially when others do it effortlessly #guess this is all just part of being human #I’m good enough. I’m glad for what I have been able to do. the way spaces end up getting casually gendered is so weird. i normally try to get to my classes a bit early so i can choose where to sit and it's fascinating to watch how ppl will gravitate towards a certain spot depending on the gender of the ppl sitting nearby. by the time the lecture starts the classroom almost always has a visible distinction between the 'guys' section and the 'girls' section. and it happens individually too even when there's not a huge friend group clustering around the same place.

#just something I've always kinda been aware of but was never able to fully put into words until now #i never really look at ppl so it's been interesting actually observing the way people choose their seats #i normally check out the room beforehand or arrive early to figure out where the best spot to sit would be #and i always sit there bc it's the best spot in the classroom (based on my priorities anyway)#and i didn't rlly know how other ppl chose which spot to sit in and i didn't rlly care either bc i had my own perfect lil system #but now you're telling me they just do it based off of GENDER?????#like. guys will sit near other guys and girls will sit near other girls and idk if they're even doing it on purpose or if it's subconscious #just. this is something that has never occured to me to even think about when choosing which seat to sit in #so this has been a mind boggling revelation #at least now i know why everywhere i go ppl always seem to congregate based on gender #and it's like. nobody's enforcing this?? nobody is telling you you Have to sit near ppl of the same gender they just do it by themselves #and it becomes very obvious when you randomly pick a seat and end up being the only person whose gender does not match everyone else nearby #idk. if this was what ppl used to categorize gender then i guess mine would just be Autism #but anyway i would love to hear from other ppl abt this bc i never even realized this was a thing ppl actively did until like super recently #like ik im nonbinary but cmonnnnnn #gender #trans #nonbinary #mine

#they just don't know it yet #50 years from now you'll have totally white/anglo looking people #with hispanic last names #who have a technically legitimate claim to being part of the “raza”#just look at intermarriage rates between whites and latinos #i suspect within the next hundred years mestizos will basically be looked at as #america's equivalent of southern europeans #also i don't know how it is in other parts of the country #but here in california there's also a pretty significant number of eurasians/hapas #they're interesting -- i think they are an underdiscussed part of the coming american race #they are frequently high iq and high achieving and part of the elite class #and they seem to be welcomed as “white americans” pretty seamlessly #for the most part anyway -- of course i've heard stories of some really racist white people that don't accept them #but even my hometown has a very white-eurasian upper class #lol one of my last “crushes” was this hapa girl and she was the daughter of some business executive millionaire guy #who was very active in local politics #he was very waspy #and she was mostly white passing #like you could kinda tell she had some asian in her but it wasn't super obvious #she was kinda ethnically ambiguous -- central asian looking #but anyway i just think it's funny #that the races that are most common and most likely to intermarry (whites + asians and whites + hispanics)#are like all the descendants/parts of the ancient north eurasians #and i just think it would be funny if we recreated them

The evil slow creep of it being like "haha these will just be quick little side quests, not much effort at all!" and then noticing each one is getting progressively longer than the last, thus no longer being minimal effort.. auGh....

#The jump of 76 for the first one to 275 for the most recent ghghjb #what can I say.. I am.. The Elaborator.. The Detail Giver..#number six will HAVE to be shorter....!!!!!! !!!!#I fear it's going to look this way but opposite with some of the main character quests. The first character I ever worked on. like their #first quest I added wayy to much information and detail and side options and etc.#Once I got done with all their stuff I was like.... if they're all like this I will NEVER finish.. So then I tried to be very short about #it all. EVERY single interaction cannot have 10 branching dialogue and 5 different endings and blah blah blah.. as much as I wish it could.#Hiring a butler to stand over me all day shouting ''NARROW the scope!!!! REDUCE the options!!! CUT the dialogue!!!'' whilst I sob #and hit backspace on everything once every five minutes #But that means probably the first character I worked on will be very obvious because their quests might have a different #feel than the others and be longer.. I just CAN'T make ALL of them that long. but maybe I could choose one..#Like out of the four characters that will have full quests for them upon release.. maybe I can add another one thats long so at least #TWO of them have weirdly long quests and the one first character doesnt seem so singled out lol #I hear this happens in real life professional games as well (like people complaining that X character doesnt have as much #content in an RPG as some other one does. etc.) so.. perhaps my fears about everyting not being exactlyliterally equal #are not even that worrisome or something that's a major factor. Still lol #It's not really that concerning to me anyways from a 'how will people react to it' perspective (very niche game. hardly anyone #will play it i'd assume. its not like thousands of people shall desscend upon me to criticize even if something was weird like that.#it'd be like. out of the 25 people who ever play it. maybe one of them is like 'yeah it was kinda weird that thosequests were so much #longer than the others. but idk' and that's the extent lol). My concern is more like.. Writing time..#the more I add. the longer it takes for me to finish. So if I keep ednlessly making things forever longer and longer. then it becomes The #Forever Project. which it kind of already is. considering I started it in 2018 and then forgot about it for the most part of 5 years and am #only resuming it now LOL.. I wanna work on my digipoke au so bad but i don't know where to start ( ;´･ω･`)

It will be from gohs pov definitely not cause of favoritism

I do have the main digidesten decided and what crest they hold to wich I will tell you now

Ash obviously gets the crest of Courage he is there leader I dunno if I have to explain that at all

I'm giving gary the crest of friendship just cause I think it makes sense with Matt in a way tai's "rival" not sure if that makes sense

Goh gets the crest of love not sure how to explain that Decision

Brock gets the crest of Reliability do I have to explain why? Aside from the more obvious answer him being a pokemon nurse is another reason why I think it works

Clemet gets the crest of knowledge I feel this works well with him

Dawn gets the crest of hope!!!!! It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to give her because I wanted to include her but wasn't sure at first what crest she would fit best and then I though about it and it came to me hope! I think this fits her pretty decently with her catchphrase thing being no need to worry and all that

I might not be as clever as I think I am with that one oandkams

Anywa way moving on! Crest of Sincerity goes to misty im not entirely sure how well this fits her but I think her and mimi have kind of similar enough personalities?

And last but not least chloe gets the crest of light! Now I dont really know if this works as well with her? But it was the last one available so yeah
