If there's one thing I've seen over and over again in the Dracula Daily + Re: Dracula fandom, it's the desire for an animated adaptation. Not of media-inspired-by, but of Dracula itself. And so, I've made:

...something that is decidedly not animated.

Yet.

I'm hoping to get Dracula Reanimated (tentative name) in exactly 1 year from now, by the end of DracDaily's 2025 run, perhaps even the beginning of it if I'm really good. But in all honesty, it could take till 2026 given the teeny complication that 1) I've no animation skills whatsoever 2) fulltime job.

So, I hope you'll stay around for the next 2 years at least to see this completed.

In the meanwhile, if you'd like to support a project by actual professionals, try @theholmwoodfoundation . After finishing the show nbc hannibal leaves you with the distinct feeling and impression that will and hannibal fucked absolutely raw and nasty on screen despite there being no such scene. The power it holds.

actually while im on the httyd topic I have something else to say. I really hate post httyd 1 toothless and the way the marketing took the design.

I know everyone has talked about this so much already but man it just really REALLY hits especially when looking at footage from the old movie again. the head shape being pug-ified... bigger puppier squarer eyes. almost no trace of the ability of actually having slit pupils. the erasure of his markings. the toning down of his night blue iridescent sheen in certain lights in favor of pure monochrome black... it is such a downgrade.

I think something the movies after the first one rly fail at is in making dragons feel fearsome. they just get reduced to cool pets and that´s just... weird imo. I know in the books dragons are pets too but they get treated as hunting dogs too. it would have been cool to explore that as opposed to just "huge as fuck dogs/cats that also fly"

they are creatures that have shared the world with people for aeons, hunting and being hunted. it´s two species going toe to toe head to head for centuries. a tamed wolf is still a wolf and wolves are dangerous. it's sad that we didn't get that. i know a lot of it is bc its a kids movie but man... man. let them keep a bit of their edge at least... its part of what makes them so cool. its part of the stakes of everything!

putting your foot on sunday's lap under the kitchen table as he's drinking his morning coffee just to watch him try to act normal. quietly giggling to yourself, you rub against him and take note of the way his wings twitch – he won't look at you, thinking that it'll be punishment enough. that you'll stop if he doesn't react.

but he's doing more than enough already.

his ears are growing warmer and warmer, a faint flush of pink taking over the apples of his cheeks, and it's all just making you want to push him even further. he looks... cute like this.

he takes another sip of his drink and nearly spits it all out when you put more pressure to his clothed crotch; his slender fingers wrap around your ankle in a fraction of a second and you freeze. but he doesn't push you away like you thought he would – he simply keeps you there, as he finally turns to meet your playful gaze.

his is way darker, his pupils bigger than ever.

the silence in the room is thick and dense, heavier than usual, and your heart stammer behind your ribs. sinking your teeth down into the plush flesh of your lip, you wait for him to scold you.

it's exciting.

the real punishment.

the idea that he'll have you kneeling in front of him, between his thighs, begging for his forgiveness. but you can feel it, he's just as excited as you are.

you wonder whether he's thinking about the same exact thing – about you whispering apologies into his thighs, your lips ghosting over his clothed bulge as he observes you with keen eyes. as he tries to stifle the sounds that'll try to crawl up his throat.

you push into him just a bit more. he squeezes your ankle.

he doesn't look away when your lips curl up into a smile.

If Timmy struggled with adjusting to magic because he was raised on earth, does that mean this is the reason Peri also struggles? Since in his early years he grew up on earth with his parents?

Yup! There's a multitude of reasons why Peri struggles so much, but they all lie in his origins. Peri was born from a wish! And Wishes, well. They're not meant to last long. Most wishes become unstable as the years go by, but Peri's persisted because he's an entire living being!

CosWan initially feared Peri wouldn't grow up properly, but he turned out nearly as fine as any other Fairy would! Probably!!

Growing up on Earth, being related to the VonStrangles, born from a 10 year old's wish, living past the lifespan of wishes, beyond that of humans... Each part is rather small, but when added together, it culminates into a very... very unstable baby.
