So to everybody watching Kiseki Dear to Me, did side couple syndrome hit you guys as fast as it did me??? Because I was fucking gone for these two in this moment!!!

A lot happened during the Jun & Jun finale, but none of it matters to me because

MY TWO DADS ARE CANON!

The episode started with Hyun Jae showing up to the photo shoot even though he was supposed to be out all day, and he demonstrated why he was such a good agent. He framed the photo shoot issues as being the fault of Jun because he is new, which made Simeon happy since he was always upset how much Hyun Jae babied Jun.

He told Simeon that he knew he was sooooo professional that he could get the job done regardless of the issues (remember, they had a fight over this word on the rooftop!).

Then, he delivered the final touch by feeding into Simeon's competitive nature since Simeon had told Jun the one who cares the most loses.

And my dad produced amazing photos because this is what all of this was about! He didn't want to lose to Jun!

And in case anyone was wondering why I call them my dads . . .

And the entire time Hyun Jae was talking about being a parent, who was there?!

SIMEON!!!!

That poster of him showed up again in the scene just like it did at the dinner!

THEN THEY MEET

And just bask in this conversation with me:

Then Hyun Jae tells Simeon time DOES matter since he rudely dismissed their time together on the roof.

They are flirting and joking and being the best dads ever!

THEN THE BIRTHDAY!

I already have second lead syndrome. I love this little coffee guy and the way they stare at each other and I love how they obviously know each other and it's darling and why, why is it always in Korea @absolutebl what do their second leads have that get me so hard?

On the other hand, I suppose giving him to the restaurant worker also works. Ooo, a Korean BL with double sunshine/tsundere pairings and one is stranger/one-sided enemies and the other is just regular enemies but they're also all adults? I love it here.

At least my second lead syndrome can turn into my more typical second couple obsession. Good to see that!

Oh my God Chang Heng & Dan Yin???? 😭What the heck? 🥺 They should have had their hopeful, lovely and loving ending 🥺 what was this pos "buddies" thing? Nah.

My girl Dan Yin is a fairy/warrior princess/ romantic yet badass...she's literally the best and she deserves all the happiness and romance. And Chang Heng? Bro I was rooting for him from the beginning & eventhough I hated watching Dan Yin's heart break (OK and I may have cursed him while doing so) I went on hoping he ll give them a chance.😔 I thought that since they went down to earth, things might change between them 😭 why not? Wtf?

I love angst ok, but this was properly cruel ❤️‍🩹

Ps. I hope I'm not alone in this and I also hope there are some fics with these two in ao3 because I can't take it otherwise.😔

Ok so I did some research and apparently Dong Yang sort of adopted Chen Yi after Chen Yi’s parents were killed in a gang war? And he raised Chen Yi and Eddie basically as his own little brothers to take over the gang some day. So based on that, I’m thinking Eddie is mistaking Chen Yi’s devotion to the gang and respect for Dong Yang as their leader for Chen Yi being in love with Dong Yang. And Eddie has pretty much had a crush on Chen Yi since they were kids.

Words cannot express how much I need to see more of the feral murder bunny and his keeper!!!!!

Also!!! I learned that Ze Rui did a lot more than just kiss Zong Yi in the book….👀👀👀👀

I love Sam. I love that he genuinely cares for Yoh. I love that helping his mom wasn't just a gesture to get Yoh back, I love that in his corporate midday he misses his boyfriend so much he just wants to be somewhere close to him - so he goes to help his mom out. I love that he hasn't changed one bit - dare I say his character feels even better now. I love that he's still himself. I love that he's still Yoh's Sam as he said. I even dig the nepobaby ponytail look on him, which might be a very unpopular opinion.

This pair is so genuinely interesting and captivating and the chemistry is off the charts. Imagine the potential if they got more than 4 minutes of screentime during the past few episodes. The rushed resolution of their conflict was underwhelming, but I'm still glad it happened and they didn't brush it away. I was genuinely afraid, with the plotlines all over, they might forget something is happening.
