custom searchbar suggestions – update wip!

They then hover over the provided suggestions, namingly #photography, #art shares, #fav games, and #cat tag, each with a corresponding emoji preceding it. As the mouseover activates, the text in the searchbar changes to match that suggestion. OP moves the mouse away from the suggestions box, and the searchbar text reverts back to what they were typing before. I first made this widget 5 years ago, and well, it’s quite outdated. I was procrastinating I started remaking this (pure JS). Will make this live when I’m done with a couple college assignments.

More people on this site need to pick tumblr themes with a search bar on them. I'm sure plenty of people have picked ones without one for a reason, but I'm sure there are also people who don't realize that's an option or how valuable it is, particularly in terms of accessibility.

I know there are fewer options for already made and free themes when looking for ones that have a search bar (though in my opinion the ones that are there look fine), but I'd rather have a less pretty tumblr theme that's at least accessible than a pretty one where visitors (and I) can't find anything.

I'm upset at the search system on my blog. I search for words or tags I remember using for previous posts, and it never shows them under the search bar. It's deeply infuriating, as I like looking back on my old posts (so I can reblog them whenever I remember them). I don't know if it's because my blog is like 2-3 years old now, bit it's infuriating. I want to find my old posts without constantly going through my blogs archives.
