he fell for him (but literally)
if you. cant tell already, i freaking love the fallen au. literally pinned the original post on my discord so i can get my little box of serotonin any time i want (is that weird, i just really like the arts,,)
bizly falls so he can join grizzly (500 word drabble)
and a lil rant on how my brain expanded on that au at the end :D
Wings sprouted from his back as he fell hundreds of blocks into the pit. More feathers being ripped away from the wind than actually growing, and a constant feeling of your hair getting ripped out but ten times worse because the new anatomy was fresh and vulnerable. He held on to much of the wings as possible, but it didn't do much.
He thought he'd hit bedrock, but no, he just kept falling into the void because there was already a giant hole in the bedrock layers.
It must've been so much more painful for Grizz.
Then his lungs were being ripped out, drained, squeezed until there was nothing left. But he couldn't die, he was still immortal. And he fell, deeper and deeper into the darkness of the void until he felt something somewhat familiar: teleportation.
His sunglasses felt somewhat different.
He had a new anatomy.
He was where Grizzly was.
His sunglasses were lifted up for a second, rubbing his eyes and looking around. Red, a lot of red-
A knife at his throat.
Everything was still blurry and dizzy, but he knew who it was. He'd recognize those eyes anywhere.
"Grizzly?"
Red eyes, brown hair with a streak of white, ram horns and pug ears. A great, black wing raised high in the air in authority.
Cold laughter filled the Nether, echoing around the duo.
"You've come here to chase me even after death? Oh, I thought it would be Charlie, or even Condi!" Charlie's name was spat with venom. Grizzly had a psychotic smile. Kind of hot-
"But."
The knife inched closer to his throat.
"I guess I should've known you'd betray me too." Grizzly's voice was almost soft, if not for the slight singing of the words and the anger behind it. "Bizly."
His mind froze. His name. His name coming from Grizzly- said like that-
He hated it.
“Grizz-”
“Don’t say my name!” Grizzly hissed. Blood dripped onto Bizly’s hands.
Bizly couldn’t move. Not even to flinch away from the pain. More blood. But he... did deserve it, didn’t he? He was so pathetic. Couldn’t even stand up for someone he loved. His cheeks were wet, and something was running down his face. But it almost instantly disintegrated into the air. The knife was lifted from his throat, and he almost chased after it.
He didn’t register the knife being flung away, the loud clunk of it hitting the floor. He couldn’t process the warmth of arms around him, a body being pressed against him. A hand uncovering his hoodie and resting itself on his hair. Wings surrounding them.
Only the presence, the familiar scent was translated into comfort.
They exchanged no words. Not even “sorrys”. But they both knew what they meant. Regret, guilt, anger, shock, it was all thrown out the window when the two made contact.
They’d figure something out. Right?
But for now, the only thing that mattered to the fallen duo were their hands laced together, wings uneasily converging, and feeling each other’s presence, their heartbeats slowly falling into one simple rhythm.
-🌹🟦 -
So Grizzly's been corrupted by the apple. Apple was trying to take over Fallen Grizzly, and almost succeeded before Bizly landed. Apple's goal is to cause destruction and pain because it feeds on that. That's why even though Grizzly's gay as shit in this au for Bizly (/pos ofc) he doesn't hesitate to almost kill Bizly on the spot. But then Grizzly sees Bizly actually cry and that kinda brings the normal-ish Grizzly back.
Apple saw a moment of vulnerability when Grizzly was physically tired from growing his wings and literally breaking through bedrock with his body, and mentally drained from the betrayal.
Bizly doesn't even care anymore. Grizzly's like "oh shit thats my bf, apple get out of here"
They never exactly talk about it but Bizly's overheard Grizzly talking to himself (apple) enough to vaguely know what's going on. So he shows more affection than he usually would in an attempt to prevent apple from completely corrupting Grizz. This doesn't last forever.

That fan theory that Shadow saved Robotnik's life at the last second by teleporting and that Shadow, Robotnik and Stone all live together now somewhere is my favourite fan theory because this is how I imagine it and I truly hope that the fourth movie makes this canon:
Tumblr media
And I think Shadow and Stone would be buddies cuz they have some things in common like the badass motorcycle skills for example.

"What eventually did the trick was a gentle rock of the swing accompanied by Tom’s quietly singing John Denver. By the third chorus of the second song all three boys and Maddie were asleep. Tom let his head fall back. His best friend and his boys, all jammed together while the crickets kept time with the swing. It really couldn’t get much better.
And they still had three days of vacation to go."
Surprise, I'm back with this piece again, except now ✨ DIGITALIZED!!! ✨ Once again, this is fanart from none other than the lovely fic "Part of the Tribe" by @samthefrank and @humanityinahandbag !! Aka the fic that rewired my brain and that I have revisited at least five hundred times. 💙💛❤️ I am addicted to this family 🥹

Communication
Read on Ao3
For @year-of-the-echidna Prompt 2: Communication
tw for Sonic movie 3 spoilers, hidden injury, lack of communication, minor family drama, hints of trauma
Knuckles’ brief and humiliating battle with Shadow the Superior Hedgehog mostly hurt his pride.  At least that’s what he believed until the adrenaline wore off.
The injury to his wrist had been such a shock of pain he hadn’t been able to reign in his reaction.  But the pain was gone a moment later.  There were other things to focus on.  It wasn’t until he and Tails were tracking down both hedgehogs that it began to ache.  By the time they took shelter at Tails’ Garden of Chaos, the injury revealed itself in its entirety (and definitely not while he was impersonating a Pokemon).
But Knuckles didn’t have time to be injured, so he did as he had always had and ignored it.  It probably wasn’t that serious anyway.
But then he woke up restrained beside Sonic and Tails and tried to flex his way out of their chains.  The tension made his wrist throbbed in warning: f Knuckles did not respect this injury, it would get worse.  He might have ignored this and forced through the pain after Shadow released his black portal of death… but as nice as free hands would be, the chains ensured his brothers would not be swept away.  So long as the strength of his teeth could carry them through.
And carry them through they did!
Unfortunately they were carried to a new problem–for Knuckles at least.
Waiting for Tom to free them from the chains with his cutting bolts might have been a good time to inform the Pretzel Woman of his injuries.  She had gone to lengths to impress on him her desire for honesty with these situations.  Plus she seemed to always find out about them afterward anyway, no matter how old they may be.
And yet… Knuckles said nothing.  If he reported his injury, the healer might force him to stay out of the fight.  Team Knuckles needed him!  Who else would break glass in case of emergency?
Then everything fell apart.
Knuckles couldn’t whine about his achy wrist when Tom lay gravely injured.  When Maddie left them behind, her eyes so distant and sad.  When Sonic betrayed his vow to protect the Master Emerald from misuse–and then after.  When the fox looked so small and hurt.  When Knuckles looked into the uncertainty of his youngest brother’s eyes.
He was an echidna warrior.  The Most Dangerous Warrior in the Galaxy!  And the only family still at Tails’ side.  He had to be strong and sure.
Many things happened after that.  Occasionally his wrist would flare with stabbing pain, but Knuckles was well practiced in ignoring such things.  There was too much at stake to waste time feeling hurt.
And then… then they were in a hospital room.
The Pretzel Woman hugged them each.  First Sonic, then Tails, then Knuckles.  She asked the three of them if they were okay.  Knuckles looked to his brothers first, but found them both watching Tom mournfully.  The doctors said he was doing well.  He should be fine, but he would have to stay a few days.
In his heart Knuckles squirmed between his desire to honor the Pretzel Woman and report his injury and his shame: how could he complain of something so minor when their Donut Lord had been cut low?  And when he looked at his brothers’ anxious faces, he had that feeling again.  That urge to be strong and steady because that was what they needed when everything felt fragile and unsure.
This was all to say that Knuckles wasn’t needlessly hiding his injury until the Donut Lord got out of the hospital.  He had many reasons to keep it to himself.  And he thought of more as time passed.  A week later, Tom was home and recovering.  All their attention needed to be on caring for him.  Two weeks after that, they were celebrating their family being whole again.  Knuckles didn’t want to ruin that.  Two more weeks after that and too much time had passed.  Maybe the Pretzel Woman would never find out?
Knuckles’ wrist barely hurt at all anymore!  Unless he rotated it.  As long as he moved his arm and hands in very specific ways, he would be okay.  Unfortunately, while trying to show off his skills with a particularly heavy hammer, he rotated his wrist and it let out a horrible pulse of pain.  It throbbed the rest of the day, but he ignored it until he woke the next morning with his glove feeling painfully tight.  His mind went to the ‘abscess’ incident from so long ago.
With no small amount of dread, he realized it was time to tell the Pretzel Woman.
*
“Knuckles?”  Maddie asked.  “Why did you shove me into the coat closet?”
Knuckles looked up into the shadows where her face would be.  The closet was a strategic decision to lessen prying eyes and ears.  The fewer people that knew of his injury the better.  But he would admit he was also glad for the darkness.  He had to take this like a warrior and confess, but the gloom fortified his courage.
“I must report an injury,” he said quietly.
He heard the Pretzel Woman inhale.  The air shifted as she moved and suddenly a light flared.  Knuckles glared overhead.  He’d never noticed the thin chain hanging from the ceiling, it was far over his head but within easy reach for the giant human.
The closet was still strategic… but now he could see Maddie’s frown.
“Where?”  She asked, kneeling down.  “Show me.”
Knuckles fumbled with the cuff of his glove.  The last time he’d had a hand injury they had to cut his glove off.  This new one was made differently.  The cuff unstrapped easily and Knuckles was able to remove his injured wrist with minimal jostling.
Freed from confinement, the injury was clear.  Years of wearing the arena’s shackles had worn the fur from his wrists so it was easy to see how his brown skin was stained red.  The skin was tight, flesh swollen over the aching joint.  The color and swelling weren’t as bad as the time with the abscess.  The pain was… comparable.  Knuckles hoped this would not be the same issue.  That had been… unpleasant.
The healer took his fist in her tiny hands and began feeling along the joint.  Knuckles held still and did not show any weakness, even when her nimble fingers pressed down on a place that sent a jolt down his fingers.  She asked him to relax and moved his hand forward and back and side to side.  She rotated his hand in just the way that hurt most.
Knuckles wasn’t sure how to react to this.  Logic told him he should conceal that it hurt.  But the Pretzel Woman had made it abundantly clear she did not like when he did that.  Curse his wrist for not being stronger!
“Did that hurt?”  The Pretzel Woman asked.
Knuckles realized he had been glaring at his wrist and met Maddie’s eyes sheepishly.  “It’s not so–”
She raised one of her thin brows and Knuckles’ mouth clicked shut.
“That is the worse spot,” he said.  Even in the safety of the closet, it was as close to admitting to pain as he was willing to get.
“Well…” The Pretzel Woman looked thoughtful.  “I’d like to do an x-ray.”
Knuckles grimaced.  He hated the ex ray machine.  He had to lay down in strange positions and the energy the machine created made his nose feel like it was full of spiders.  Then the machine made portraits of all his secret injuries, new and old, and then Maddie got upset!  But Maddie was already going to be upset.  Knuckles didn’t know how, but she seemed able to tell the age of his wounds when she took her x-rays.
His shoulders sagged in defeat.  “Alright,” he said.  “I will do the x-ray machine.”  Perhaps if he cooperated now, she would be less angry with him when she inevitably found out he had concealed his wound.
Maddie frowned down at his wrist.  “When did this happen?”
Or she would find out now.
Sure, Knuckles could lie.  Sonic probably wouldtrickster that he was.  But not Knuckles.  He bowed his head and prepared to face her wrath with honor.
“My first battle against Shadow…?”  Against his will, his voice lilted up at the end.  Pathetic.  Own your shame, he scolded himself.
There was a pause and then the Pretzel Woman leaned back.  “Knuckles,” She dropped his name like a stone.  “Is this injury weeks old?”
Knuckles stared down at the discarded glove in his hand.  “I… apologize.”
“No!”  The Pretzel Woman stabbed one of her needle-thin fingers at him.  “No, I thought we were past this Knuckles!  I thought you were getting better!”
Knuckles swallowed, his throat felt strangely thick.  He’d expected anger, not this… disappointment.
“I’m sorry,” he said again, closing his eyes as though he might shut out his shame.  “Many things were happening and then Tom was injured and then recovering…”  He trailed off.  He dared to open his eyes and glance up at Maddie from under his lashes.  She watched him with an unreadable expression.
“That… was a really hard time,” she said.
Knuckles didn’t know what to say to that.  They’d all thought they were going to lose one of their tribe.  Saying it was a ‘hard time’ felt too small, but he had no better words to describe it.  “I did not want to make it harder.  Not when my injury was so much lesser and Sonic and Tails needed me to be strong.”
Her face softened, though her eyes were pained.  “Sonic and Tails are strong enough that you can take care of yourself–”
“They were frightened.”  He’d been frightened.  Knuckles looked away, staring at the thin closet door, all that shielded them from unseen enemies.  An echidna warrior was afraid of nothing, but when the ambulance doors closed on Tom’s pale face...  Knuckles hadn’t known the last time he saw his father would be the last time he ever saw him.  He hadn’t known if that last look into the ambulance was the last time he would ever see Tom.
“They were frightened and I did not want to place concern for me on top of that…”
Maddie sighed and shifted from kneeling to sitting.  She was shorter than him like this.  He wasn’t used to looking down at her.
“I’m sorry,” she said.  “I’m sorry you had to step up like that.  And… I’m proud too.”  She offered a soft, tired smile.  “You’re becoming quite the good brother.”
Knuckles studied his glove intently.  He wasn’t sure why–usually he loved to boast.  The Pretzel Woman had strange powers indeed.
“You can always tell me when you’re hurt.”  She took his good hand in hers.  “I want you to promise me–”
“I cannot.”  Knuckles withdrew his hand.  “I’m sorry.”
“Wha–why?”  The softness that had come to her voice lessened as anger took root.
Knuckles was ready to take it full-force.  “I cannot promise to always be forthcoming with injuries.  This has proved it.”
“Proved what?”  She crossed her arms.  A dangerous sign.
“If you had known I was injured, would you have let me come on our mission at the G.U.N. headquarters?”
“No.”
“Then I cannot promise.”  Knuckles crossed his arms over his chest to show his decision was final.  The move was definitely not undercut by his pained wrist not moving into place correctly.
“Knuckles.”  Her tone was dangerous.  He avoided her eyes, but even without looking he could feel her glare like shards of ice.
“You needed me,” he said.  “What would have happened in case of emergency if I had not been there to break the glass?”
“We probably would have come up with a whole different plan!”
That was probably true.  “But what if that plan failed?  I am the strongest of all of us even when my wrist is damaged–what would happen to you without me?”
“Knuckles, that’s not the point.  The point is to take care of yourse–”
“The point is that I will never remain behind while my tribe goes into battle without me.  Not again!”  With his arms crossed, he could not study his mitts, so Knuckles just stared straight ahead.  He could not look Maddie in the eye right now.  Of course, he didn’t need to when she wrapped her arms around him.  Hugs were something he was still getting used to.  They were surprisingly powerful things.  He stood perfectly still and focused on breathing and blinking.
“I’m sorry,” she said.  “I just… I want to protect you, you know?”
“That is what I want to do.”  Knuckles breathed in her scent.  She smelled of baking and breakfast, of her husband, their family, and various oils and lotions she used to keep her skin and hair clean and healthy.  He didn't remember his own mother but he thought this was probably what a mother should smell like.
When she pulled away it seemed both too soon and too late.  Knuckles wanted to follow after her just as much as he wanted to back away.  Hugs were very strange things indeed.
“We’re at an impasse,” she said.  “What are two family protectors to do?”
Knuckles considered this.  “Hopefully, not ground me?”
“I’ll never punish you for being hurt,” she said quickly.
Knuckles leveled her with an unimpressed look.  “But you so often get angry.”
Maddie’s returning expression was equally unmoved.  “That’s because I love you and… if I can’t stop you from getting hurt, then I at least don’t want you walking around in pain.  Not when I can help.”
“We are at an impasse,” Knuckles rubbed his injured wrist to hide his expression.  Like hugs, he was still getting used to ‘I love yous’.
Maddie took the hand from him and touched it gently, with the hands of a healer.   “Can you just… just keep trying to get better at telling me?”  She asked.  “Even if you can’t promise.”
Knuckles nodded.  “I cannot promise, but… I will try anyway.”
Because Knuckles loved her too.

Saw a fic where Longclaw lives and angst happens. Anyway! Now I really need a fic where she lives and it takes her forever to go after him for some reason and by the time she has found him it’s post movie 2 or 3 and she sees Sonic and Knuckles sparring or playing hide and seek tag or something and she immediately assumes that Sonic is in danger and she didn’t kill all the echidna’s like she had thought and this one is going to hurt Sonic so she charges yelling Sonic’s name to get his attention, to get him to move towards her, while heading straight for Knuckles to finish the Echidna tribe once and for all
The angst of Sonic so happy to see her before realizing that she is 100% intending to kill his big brother and Knuckles not wanting to hurt her for Sonic’s sake but also she’s attacking him, she wants to kill him

Assorted Agent Stone POV monologues about Robotnik, post sonic 3.
It's funny. For the past.. years, all my life revolved around the doctor. But now, I don't- I don't have anything left of him. All our bases were eventually destroyed, the Badniks are probably in the bottom of a river, I could do anything; the slates wiped clean. But here I am, looking for traces of him.
———
He called me his friend; can you believe that? Doctor Robotnik, the god amongst men, the biggest genius of the world past and future, called me his friend. And all it took was a sacrifice to save the world, to save the people who left him behind and won't give a damn about him, come tomorrow morning. I didn't- I don't- want him to be a hero. I don't have the right to change his mind, and I will never put him at fault but he left me and I couldn't protect him. I'd rather stay by his side as an aide than have him leave behind his only friend.
———
I'm not sure when but at some point my admiration for him became something too.. personal, to be professional. Maybe I saw him act too human and I wanted to be human together. The doctor liked to present himself as a cynical machine, a monster created by society who had risen above beastly instincts to be its master. It's not like he isn't that, it's more like he acts like that because in his eyes everyone is the enemy. I don't like to speculate about him because then he'd have my throat but well. I think he so quickly took to his grandfather because machines don't have family and his grandfather so quickly broke that part of him by merely existing. (I wish I could've done that.) It's like some Greek tragedy isn't it? God turned man by family, before being backstabbed by it. Maybe he'd like that narrative, dramatic and such. Maybe he wouldn't like how personal it is. I wish I was important enough to have my own story. (No that's not right, I wish I was important enough to Him to be apart of his.)

I am a new Sonic fan - more a Shadow fan I might say - for more than a month now. Watching the third movie (twice!) and the awesome contents for the year of Shadow as made me obsessed about Shadow and Maria's relationship.
Sincerely, I hope we get a mini serie about Shadow's time with Maria at the research base. It can only be 3 episodes. I want more Shadow and Maria moments together!! I think, a spin off movie should be about his origins and Black Doom.
On another hand, since I came out of the theater after my first watch, I can't stop thinking about a moment in the spin off movie (if we get one) where Shadow is depressed about finding his true origins and is struggling about finding the meaning of his life. Walters (if still alive) or someone else (Rouge?) find a letter that Maria wrote him thinking that her illness would soon take her. This letter would guide him through this hard time and act as her final words to him.
You can find the letter under the cut.
Dear Shadow,
If you're reading this letter, it must means that I am no longer with you.
As you know, I have an illness that grandfather is trying really hard to find a cure. However, I can feel that the toll it has on my body is increasing. I am sorry for not sharing this with you as I didn't want to add this pressure on your shoulders when you are already struggling about finding your place on Earth.
I wanted you to know that, even thought our time together was short, I am glad that we became friends. The moments we had together are my most cherished memories.
I really hope that you can find who you are and where you come from. If this isn't the anwsers you were looking for, I wish that you will still remain the friend I remember. A friend with few words, but with a big heart who cares about others.
Earth might not be perfect and humans can be cruel, but I believe we live on a beautiful planet where everyone has a chance to be happy - including you.
Even if fate takes us apart, I will always be in your heart.
Your dear friend,
Maria

hey guys
so like i’ve been working on a sonic movieverse fic for the last few days, i’m like 3.2k words in, but i have encountered a Problem.
i’m not even fully sure that this is good. like it’s fine. but like. i keep comparing myself and my writing to other fics i’ve read and authors i like and it just doesn’t feel good. i know a lot of the people i read are adults and i’m some teenager who writes in google docs on her school computer during class but i just really don’t know. people have told me it’s good but again i’m unsure and worried about it being ooc and all that stuff too.
my point here is i need someone to beta read for me. preferably someone who’s seen sonic 3 for obvious reasons, but if you haven’t and are fine with spoilers that works too. could be anyone, though i’d also prefer someone who’s a teenager just for comfort. i need someone who knows the characters well and is willing to help me with characterization and writing in general. reply to this post or send me an ask if you’d be interested :3
thanks y’all!!

SCU hardest difficulty writing resource
I was working on an SCU writing project when I realized that no one had made a list of the changes made in the hardest difficulty video so I decided to do it myself it took me 3 hours, 53 minutes, 35 seconds, and 61 milliseconds and is 12 pages 7445 characters long excluding spaces its got some gaps and definitely has errors because I don't myself have access to the mod and thus can double check these things nor look at the extra stuff we didn't see like the horses that being said I would love it if anyone wanted to add on.
Here it is after the cut:
Charlie
Enchanting
Horns Five causes you to make a clown horn nous when taking damage if holding something with the enchantment
Crafting
You need a crafting table to create a furnace
To create a chest you need to make a chest plate out of wood in a furnace
Smelting
You need a furnace to create a crafting table
Interacting with a lit furnace sets you on fire
You can create a meat sword in a furnace using red meat like pork
Food
He added cardiovascular disease so if you eat too much red meat you die
And olk plank can be turned into a piece of mutton
When you eat a pec of bread a message will appear in chat that says “Oh {Name} always loafing around”
When you eat a piece of raw cod it will soot out an explosive projectile in the direction they were looking
There seem to be two types of raw salmon one enchanted and one not the enchanted on is enchanted with knockback X
Eating an apple causes the chunk the player is on to be eaten away down to bedrock i also heard a distorted Schlatt “apple” but I'm not sure if that's the mod or the video
Eating rotten flesh spawns a lot of zombies I’m estimating that it's at least 60
Clicking with the Gapple summons a tower of six TNT each one block apart that floats in the air and then explodes along lighting striking to the front left and right
Eating an enchanted golden apple causes about four  chunks that the player is on to suddenly disappear
Bizly
Mobs
We know that he did something fucked up to horses but we don't know what it was exactly
Iron golems look like naked villagers
Polorbaers look like pink among us, are always hostile, and take less damage oh and their speed has been increased
Chickens rapidly multiply when near players are always hostile have a slight increase in speed and do a lot of damage
Cows have red eyes their head or flipped and they slowly float upwards they are also immune to the explosives fish send out as they phase through the cow
Spiders look like the default Lego minifig
Villagers sell the Sonk Ponkel for one emerald
There is no such thing as a baby chicken all chickens spawn in fully mature
Zombies have white possibly glowing eyes
Sheep scream
Lamas have been reskinned to look like the fortnight loot lamas and their spit damage has increased. It is unclear if they had their drops changed as we never see one killed
There is an entity we never get a good look at or description of that isn't normally in the game and if it is seen you have to stand completely still to survive it, it also makes strange industrial machine noises
Wolves die when someone looks at them
Hoglins are tinted lime green
Squids ink you making you blind
Taming a parrot spawns a wither
Endermen look like weird stretched turtles
Bees are a turquoise mint color, are permanently angry, and drop bee straws which summon more bees
Condi
The Nether
You randomly combust
Netherbrick doesn't have a texture
Nether fortresses spawn wolves
The End
Endstone is replaced by pizza
You get nausea for 2 min 30 sec upon entering the end
The ender dragon’s been replaced with a block of dirt
The dragon's breath attack spawns bees
Breaking an end crystal spawns about 5 TNT when you respawn after exiting the end through the portal you get killed immediately
Grizzly
Tools
Torches are upside down and they flashbang when placed down
The iron shovel forces you to dig straight down once you use it and while activated all blocks take a single hit to break including bedrock then once you have fallen into the void it Tps you to the sky directly on top of where you fall into the void then get teleported back to the top in an infinite loop
The diamond peacock breaks after one use and makes a squeaky noise
Weapons
Wooden swords give you splinters that damage you every time you use the sword, (and may also blind you not sure about that last bit)
Bows fire once and do a million damage
They added in “Vanishing Mist” the sword that splits the world in half it does about half of the ender dragons' HP
They added a fucking Glock and bullets
Nature
Dirt can feel pain and screams when you break it
Dirt gives you the hunger effect
Water is poisonous and hurts you if you go in it or drink it
Theirs some kind of a never-ending storm
Lava heals you and while it does set you on fire that fire is harmless except in the nether where it acts like normal lava
Misc
Unclear jurisdiction
When a player is struck by lightning they turn into a zombie
Coal gives you black lung
Buckets have a chance to spill but I'm not sure if it's from sprinting or just walking around charlie did say “Be careful not to run with that bucket” but that could be hyperbole
The sea pickle makes Jojo yare yare noises
We are told not to touch granite limestone obsidian or cobwebs but we aren't ever told what they do/why we shouldn't touch them
Something happened with silverfish but I can't tell what it is over the panic about chickens
You can also craft in a furnace
Crying obsidian is round

Think about BG3HD, Slimecicle’s bg3 play through. Then think about bg3. Think about how everyone talks.
Just think about the fUCkhINg cONtrAST okay. Between the main four’s absolute buffoonery, their rambling, and then EVErY npc they come across. So eloquent. So British. Think about the fucking NARRATOR. She’s so mysterious and serene and fucking crystalline. And she’s narrating for THESE GUYS.
Picture, if you will, BG3HD as an actual anime. The video does it well enough, but imagine like, the full thing with three seasons and more dialogue. They had 200 hours, alright, what do we really need to make up? And imagine the bg3 narrator as their/the audience’s narrator. Bonus points if it’s PAIRED with Charlie/Xiv’s narration from the video. Fucking wild.
Or just… whatever they were saying in the ‘editor’s cut’ (please exist please exist please exist), and just. Just listen to clips online, of bg3 audio, and imagine the four/three/four plus rai responding to that.
An alternative? Rai as the narrator. His little ghost at the end inspired this one. He never outright says “us”, “we”, “I was there that blue transmasc that’s me”. But the way he talks implies he has a deep connection to the other three, even if it’s somewhat one-sided. His emotions and opinions will be clear as day (the latter outright stated and used for funnies, the former a bit more subtle and genuine). He’ll refer to the group as ‘our heroes’, in classic narrator fashion, and I can see him saying “our heroes, plus Rai” because it’s funny, and also I imagine his ghost harbours a lot of regret for his attempted amicide.
I quite like this idea. Somebody make a fanfic.

"Can't Die with Regrets."
SONIC 3 SPOILERS!!!
Based on this post
AO3 version
“If neither of you have the guts to help me, then I’ll do it alone.”
Words that Sonic was regretting. Severely.
It had been nearly an hour since he’d last seen his brothers. In a fit of rage, and grief, and too many negative feelings for him to process, he’d all but stolen the Master Emerald and hunted down Shadow, fully intending to kill him.
Looking back at himself, the way he’d just lost control, he felt ashamed, but he could still remember why he’d done it in the first place. He still could feel the paralyzing fear that had gripped him when he’d found Tom unconscious, completely unresponsive. Fear that had quickly turned into an early kind of grief, reminding him all too much of a night long ago, when he’d found himself alone in an unfamiliar forest at night, crying over the loss of Longclaw.
His first parent.
Things had been fuzzy. He was scared. He was stressed. He was angry.
He had not waited ten painful years for his family, only to have it stripped away from him again. He didn’t know what he would do without them. Without his dad.
“What kind of hero abandons his friends to pursue revenge? Abandons his family?” Shadow’s chilling words still echoed in his mind. He hadn’t had an answer. All he’d been able to feel was rage, and grief, and a spiraling sense of being completely out of control.
And while the fury had subsided as he remembered Tom’s words to him recently, about not letting his pain from losing Longclaw change who he was, the grief had stayed. The fear had stayed. Even as he let go of Shadow, as they sat and talked about their experiences with loss, the pain continued to burn in his chest.
Sonic pushed it to the back of his mind as they both charged up on the Chaos Emeralds and went to stop the giant cannon about to destroy a chunk of Earth. Talking with Shadow had helped him a little, as he reminded them both about how they could deal with their grief and their pain. Finally befriending this edgy other hedgehog had done him well. Fighting alongside him was even its own brand of fun.
But it was hard to not think about his family.
How the last he’d seen his parents, his father was in some kind of coma and being taken into an ambulance. His mother was looking at him and his brothers… strangely, as she sat with her husband. With a blank expression, one that chilled him and stirred a different fear entirely in his stomach.
Like she wasn’t quite sure of them anymore.
And his brothers?
He had not parted with them on friendly terms. He’d been in the thick of his grief-induced anger still. He’d snapped at Tails for attempting to comfort him, and had nearly fought with Knuckles over his demands for the Master Emerald. Knuckles had refused to fight him, which in hindsight made him feel even worse.
He wanted to apologize to them. But he didn’t know where they were.
In the distance, the huge cannon thing was crackling with chaos energy, clearly about to fire. Shadow dealt with the last of the bots that they’d been fighting, then they were both making a beeline for the cannon.
It probably wouldn’t destroy the entire earth— it was a precision weapon— but it would still kill many innocent lives. At the moment, it was aimed directly for London.
As far as Sonic knew, his entire family was down there.
So the only plan he could come up with in the panic of the moment was to block the hit directly, using the combined chaos powers of both himself and Shadow.
It was a big risk for sure, but there was no way he was letting that blast hit the earth.
“Now this might hurt a little!” he yelled to Shadow, as they flew directly up in the line of fire.
The cannon unleashed its blast.
It hurt more than a little, as they both raised their arms to create an invisible shield of sorts, blocking the blast, protecting those far below.
“This was your plan?” Shadow demanded beside him, his voice strained as he squinted against the blinding light.
Sonic didn’t answer, grunting as he tried to conserve his quickly-draining energy. Desperate for any kind of hope, he hollered, “Would someone mind shutting down the giant death ray?!”
He figured it was just the Robotniks up there, and they were the ones who’d planned this whole thing, but somehow his plea was answered. Slowly but surely, the continuous blast started to tilt, gradually away from the earth.
However, it was quickly getting harder and harder to keep blocking it. The ray was hot and excruciating to the touch, only less so because he was in golden god mode, but even that energy was starting to… fade.
Sonic gritted his teeth, nearly whimpering as he struggled to keep on blocking it. Hundreds of people are at risk down there! he snapped at himself silently. Including your family. Keep at it!
The ray continued to turn, slowly.
The edges of his vision started going dark.
He shook his head slightly, glaring up at the ray. The ray glared back at him.
You HAVE to do it! You have to get back to them! You have to see if Dad will be okay. You have to check on Mom. You have to apologize to Knuckles and Tails. YOU HAVE TO!
SO KEEP AT IT!
“Can’t… hold… much… longer!” he gasped out, as if whoever was turning the ray could hear him. Shadow looked over at him for a split second, then immediately turned back forward, pushing even harder against the blast.
Sonic couldn’t risk looking down to see how far the ray had turned from the earth. All he could do was keep looking up, keep hoping against hope that they were going to save everyone— and make it out alive. Both of which he couldn’t afford not to do.
But it wasn’t looking likely.
He didn’t have any more energy he could just summon out of nowhere. And he was very quickly running out of time.
And even as he struggled against the ray, his heart began to sink.
He had too many regrets. Too many things he still needed to say. Too many things he still didn’t know.
Stupid cannon should’ve waited a bit longer, at least so he could’ve gotten a chance to do all that.
But, just like throughout this whole ordeal, he was absolutely powerless with such a thing.
It was too late.
The darkness at the edges of his vision spread, as his arms and body started going numb. And with a final yelp, he blacked out.
The last thing he registered was a hand on his shoulder, forcefully shoving him to the right. Then everything went blank.
---
Sonic had truly thought he was going to die.
If he’d fainted while still in the direct path of the death ray, he would’ve gotten incinerated.
But that hand that’d pushed him… had it gotten him out of the way? Shadow had saved him?
His consciousness slowly edged its way back in, stirred by the sound of coughing. As his senses recovered, he realized he was lying down, sprawled half on an earthy floor, halfway on top of someone else…
Vision and hearing foggy, he squeezed his eyes shut tighter for a moment before wearily blinking them open. “Sonic, look,” a young, familiar voice said quietly.
Slowly, shakily, Sonic pushed himself to his feet, still trying to register what was happening, where he was, what was going on. But as he looked up, the memories returned, and another wave of grief hit him hard.
There was a huge, nebular mass in the sky above them, clearly the result of some kind of massive explosion. Tails had gone on excited rants to him in past months about astronomy, and stars, and what happened when they exploded. How they left a beautiful nebula blanketing the space around them even after they were gone.
“Shadow and Robotnik,” Tails said quietly beside him, staring with a hollow look up at the remains in the sky. “They sacrificed themselves… to save everyone.”
…Oh.
Shadow was gone.
Sonic looked at the distant fire, swallowing. “You always have a choice,” he murmured, remembering how he’d told that to Shadow right before they’d gone in to stop the death ray.
“The light shines, even though the star is gone,” was what Shadow had said, as they’d sat and reminisced on the moon’s surface.
They’d saved Earth, and everyone on it, but Shadow had given everything to make the right choice in the end. He’d become his own fallen star, like Maria, and he would shine on even now that he was gone.
Sonic’s chest ached. For all the drama and violence and pain of the last few days, he would never forget Shadow. The words they had shared stuck with him. Shadow had not deserved to die. He’d become a hero when it had mattered the most.
And so had Robotnik, apparently.
Sonic swallowed again, then turned to face his brothers, a sudden dread pooling in his heart. In what he’d thought were his final moments up there, he’d been desperate to live so he could apologize, and he’d pictured himself dramatically rushing back, shouting out the “I’M SO SORRY”s, hugging everyone left and right, rushing to do everything he thought he couldn’t. But now that he was faced with the real opportunity, and the reality of what had happened, he… was scared.
Scared that he’d gone too far. That they wouldn’t trust him again after he’d betrayed their oath.
Especially as he realized that Knuckles and Tails must’ve saved him after he fell. Even after what he’d said to them. It was the only explanation for how he’d woken up piled with them both in the middle of a corn field, relatively unharmed for having apparently fallen all the way from space.
“Guys, I’m really sorry for running off like that,” he said softly, avoiding the two pairs of eyes locked on him. His heart pounded uncomfortably in his chest. “I shouldn’t have left you behind.”
He dared to meet Knuckles’s eyes. The echidna stared back at him, his eyes hard.
“The truth is,” he went on, shifting his gaze again, “you’re the best teammates a hedgehog could ever ask for.” He glanced at Tails, the words spilling out now, and he was struck with a sudden gratefulness that he was here, getting to say all this, when he’d truly thought he’d missed the chance. “And the best friends,” he quickly added. “…Can you ever forgive me?”
Sonic held his breath. Silence reigned. His heart skipped a few beats.
Knuckles continued to stare.
Then the echidna slowly raised a fist towards him. “Team Sonic?” he asked quietly.
Sonic stared at his brother’s extended fist for a moment, almost weak as relief rushed through him. In a rush of emotion, he smiled like a sap and lurched forwards to hug Knuckles close, grasping to pull in Tails as well. “How about, just ‘team’,” he replied softly, resting his head against the echidna’s chest and wrapping his arms around both him and Tails.
His teammates. His friends. His best friends.
His brothers.

A Single Thread
Read on Ao3
For @year-of-the-echidna's Prompt 3: Memory
tw for loss of culture, loss of family, general endling angst, memory loss
Knuckles couldn’t remember the word for ‘thread’.
He’d just finished his second patrol of the night and returned to his bed in House Wachowski. As he pulled the blanket back over his chilled body, he noticed a loose string–the kind that would get worse if left unchecked.  He was making a note to address it in the morning, only to mentally stumble.  Because he had forgotten the word.
He knew it in the common tongue.  In three Mobian dialects.  He even knew it in Babylonian!  But he couldn’t remember his word for it.  The echidna word.
Knuckles stared up at the ceiling of their darkened bedroom and tried not to fall into despair.
Every time Knuckles forgot an echidna word, that word was gone forever.  There were already so many that had been lost to time.  He’d only been a small child when his tribe was killed.  He’d been fluent in his native tongue, but there were many big, fancy words he never learned.  All his teachers had died, taking half his language with them.  And back then he hadn’t thought to try and preserve it.  He was young and sad and hungry for vengeance, for the Master Emerald, for any scrap of what remained of his people.  He’d taken his words for granted.  He never thought he’d lose them.  Now he lay awake in his bed at House Wachowski and felt the weight of his slowly eroding childhood vocabulary.
He’d lost ‘thread’.
It sounded like the word for fur, that he could recall.  He was pretty sure it was a combination of the word for ‘fur’ and fabric, but that didn’t help him much because he didn’t remember the word for fabric either.  He’d lost that one long ago.  He hadn’t had a need of it.  Clothing was for adults.
That was something he remembered at least.  He clung to that.  There were many things he’d lost, but he remembered some things.  He would have gotten a wrapping for his waist when his voice deepened.  His father’s shoulder cloth was made by Knuckles’ grandmother, as was tradition.  Knuckles would have had one made for him after his first hunt, though his father would have had to make it.
Knuckles plucked at the thread absently.
He did not remember his mother.  He didn’t know why she’d left them.  His father tried to explain once but Knuckles was too young to understand.  ‘I’ll explain when you’re older, ‘ Father said.  Knuckles was older now, but he had no father to explain.  This too, was knowledge lost forever.  Like ‘thread’.
He would never fall asleep in this state.
Knuckles kept the Master Emerald hidden all the time, though the specific location changed.  Right now it was within easy reach: beneath a floorboard under his bed.  Moving silently, Knuckles slid beneath, dragging his blanket with him.  He eased the board out of the way and the Master Emerald’s lit up his view.  The green glow felt like a sunbeam on a cold day.  But it also risked waking Sonic and Tails.
With his blanket wrapped around the two of them into a cozy fabric burrow, the light was concealed.  Knuckles held the Master Emerald close to his chest.  Sonic would probably tease him if he were to see Knuckles holding the most powerful force in the universe like a teddy bear, but the hedgehog couldn’t understand.
Knuckles had outgrown his old gloves and shoes.  His makeshift armor and spear were lost.  The totem he’d worn around his neck since the day his father gave it to him had been stolen.  Knuckles wore foreign clothes now.  He lived in a strange place in a home where nothing was familiar.  The Emerald was the one thing Knuckles had left of his people.
Green swirls filled his vision as Knuckles stared into the Emerald depths and remembered all the stories he’d grown up hearing.  Father told him how the Master Emerald had made the echidnas’ island paradise fly high above the clouds.  Chief Pachacamac described its awesome powers.  The head healer said it could be used to heal the sick and injured.  His grandmother said it could move through time.  And the High Priestess had taught Knuckles that the Master Emerald remembered everything it had ever seen.  Maybe even everything it would see.
This had been hard to wrap his mind around.  It still was.  Knuckles wasn’t sure it was even true.  But it was some comfort.  The Emerald was all that was left of his people, but it would outlive them all.  ‘Thread’ would never be lost forever, so long as the Master Emerald existed to remember it.
The Emerald flickered, its lights dancing sleepily like light reflecting off a pool of water.  Knuckles’ eyes slid closed and it seemed he fell, not into sleep, but into familiar arms.  Huge hands held his little ones, and though the skin was so rough, the touch was so gentle.  A bristly chin tickled his cheek.  A heart beat beneath his ear.
Voices surrounded him.  He knew them.  He knew all of them.  And he knew their words.  Laughter.  The smell of food and sounds of cooking.  Fire flared, friendly.  Fabric draped over his shoulders.  A stray thread tickled his nose.  Carried to bed.  A smell.  Like safety.
Knuckles woke slowly.  Sleep lay heavy over his mind like a thick blanket.  Usually he was quick to get up.  He had to secure House Wachowski and ensure nothing had happened while the home was unguarded.  But for some reason, he just couldn’t bring himself to rise.  He was warm and comfortable beneath the bed.
In a daze, it seemed the attic and his dreaming mind were laid over one another.  Two women sat before a fire.  His grandmother and… his mother?  Her face was shadowy and he was distracted, too busy watching entranced as his grandmother wove.  She was one of the women born with no spurs and so her fingers were more nibble.  They flit over and between the threads, colors tangling over and under at such speed it seemed almost a living thing.  Every color had meaning.  Red for the tribe.  White for the moon.  Gold for victory.  Turquoise for the sea and sky.  Green for the earth.  Green for strength, for abundance, goodness, luck, for life.  Green for the Emerald.
Green danced across his vision.  The Master Emerald was tucked beneath his chin, its glow fading as Knuckles became more aware.  His dream dispersed like morning fog.
He stretched, legs tangling in the blanket and pulling it down off his head.  The dawn’s light painted the attic in shades of gray.  Distantly he could hear birds singing.  Knuckles really should get up and go patrol before breakfast.
He reached for the blanket and his hand found the loose thread.
Makai’u.
He paused, surprised at the word that popped into his mind so suddenly.  A smile slowly crept across his face.  Makai’u–that was it!  He hadn’t lost it after all!
Knuckles replaced the Master Emerald in its hiding place, in a much better mood than when he had pulled it out a few hours before.  If he gave it a little extra squeeze before relinquishing it, that was between him and the Emerald.  This morning there was one less thing that he’d lost, and he cherished it, even if it was just a tiny thread.
