Hey there!

I’m Scotty, a queer writer and artist from the UK.

My primary fandoms that I write for are Mass Effect, Dragon Age Inquisition / The Veilguard, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Assassin’s Creed Revelations / Odyssey, however I do also occasionally dip my toes into other Assassin’s Creed titles, Final Fantasy XV, RWBY, Thunderbirds Are Go (2015 reboot), Doctor Who (and its various spin-offs) and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Most of my fanart will revolve around my various iterations of Commander Shepard and Pathfinder Ryder (Mass Effect trilogy / Mass Effect Andromeda) and my Inquisitors (Dragon Age Inquisition) and Rooks (Dragon Age: The Veilguard).

The call connected. The circle gathered around the comm grinned at each other. “Vos.” Came through the automatic speech to text readout. Then, “Huh, text only.” A few seconds later. Wolffe typed their question as quickly as he could into the repurposed number pad. His fingers flying as he pressed the same button several times to type senth on a number based keyboard. “hi sir” He sent, and immediately started on the next message. “r u a jedi” went out only seconds before Vos’ reply to the first message made it through the signal delay. “Sir? Since when am I Sir? To anyone?” There was another pause, slightly too long to just be the delay before Vos answered the question. All of them leaned a little too far forward as they waited, Bly biting his lip as he stared at the display. A paragraph built itself in front of them. “Well, I can if you want me to be, stranger. I cater to all kinds. Twenty credits for the first 10 standard minutes and another credit per minute after that.” The readout indicated a chuckle. “You want to be Touched by the Force, darling?” Cody’s hand snapped sharply from where he’d been keeping two fingers on the processor chip to make sure it didn’t melt, and terminated the connection.

Budapest, a place you’re getting to know a whole lot better at the curtesy of Scott Forrester. You and Scott went to the academy together. There has always been a line of communication between the two of you. Sometimes you barely hear from him and other times your phone doesn’t stand still.

However about a year ago that changed, Scott’s texts and calls became more frequent and regular. You would both make time in your schedules to hear one another on the phone. He visits you and you visit him. Every two to three months one of you is on a plane. The visits went from a friend visiting their friend to a boyfriend and girlfriend visiting each other.

A couple of days ago you got an amazing offer for a job in Budapest. If you take the job it would mean moving to Budapest, the city where Scott works. And that might be the opportunity you need to take the next step in your relationship, moving in together. It’s something best discussed in person which is why you’re in the city and about to walk through the doors of Fly Teams office.

As soon as you walk through the doors you’re greeted by Tank. How you love that dog.

“Y/n,” Scott instantly jumps up, a big smile on his face.

“Hello, stranger,” you grin up at him when he stands in front of you.

His arms pull you close in a hug while he presses a kiss to your cheek.

“What are you doing here? I though you weren’t able to visit for another two weeks,” he asks.

“Well Scotty, I just couldn’t wait to meet your famous team,” you tease with a wink.

You can tell he’s trying to read you and you let him, hoping it’ll jumpstart the conversation later.

“Of course. In the left corner, we have Cameron Vo. Next to her, Andre Raines. And on the opposite of my desk, we have Jamie Kellett.”

Everyone gets up and shakes your hand accompanied by a warm smile.

“I think I speak for all of us when I say we’ve been dying to meet the woman who turned Scott into a miserable romantic,” Jamie teases with a wink.

Scott’s hand comes to rest on your lower back.

“Glad you’ve all been sticking your noses into my business,” he laughs.

“We should definitely meet up soon for dinner so I can get to know all of you better. And maybe hear some stories,” you manage to say before Scott nudges you into a room that looks like the breakroom.

A steaming mug of coffee is placed in front of you while Scott takes a seat on the chair next to you.

“Is something wrong,” Scott hesitantly asks after you take your first sip.

“No,” you exclaim, taking his hand. “I…It’s just…”

You seem to struggle for words. Scott waits patiently giving your hand a squeeze.

“You know you can tell me anything, right,” he whispers softly.

“I do. I came to Budapest earlier than we planned because I really need to talk about our future.”

Scott’s face turns serious with a hint of worry.

“Scotty, it’s nothing bad. I want to talk about maybe taking the next step. Moving in together.”

“How,” he seems puzzled for a moment, “We live on opposite sides of the ocean and we both have jobs on said sides.”

You shush him by placing your finger on top of his lips. He instinctively reaches up and takes your hand in his.

“I got a really really good job offer here in Budapest. I’m thinking about taking it. That is, if you’ll have me,” you whisper, afraid you might shatter everything.

Scott gapes at you, clearly at loss for words. You nervously fumble with your hands in his.

“You really got an offer? Here,” he whispers.

You nod, trying to gauge how he feels about this.

“And you really want this job? You wouldn’t just take it so we can be together,” he asks.

You reach out with your hand and caress his cheek.

“I know you’d never let me take a job solely for us being in one place. I’m not going to lie and say it doesn’t make the job more attractive. But it is a good offer, Scotty, and I want to take it.”

He nods, still lost in thought, probably reassuring himself that you’re taking this job because you want it.

He takes your face in his hands while he says: “I want nothing more than to have you here in Budapest with me.”

Both of your faces are taken over by huge smiles and then his lips finally find yours. You breathe in his scent, you let him take control, just happy that you’re able to feel him again.

“I can’t wait to wake up next to you every single day,” he whispers the moment you break the kiss.

“And I can’t wait to fall asleep in your arms every single night,” you answer.

zach libresco: “we’ve officially entered the ‘i’m not crying, you’re crying’ part of the evening”

noah, to loud background laughter: “as we get ready for this slate, i can’t help remembering the time that i made a visit to this school...where they are sadly without many slates, and i gave them a speech, and i said to them, i said in the speech, i said something that i learned at home [scotty: “someone’s stalling”] , which was GOIK BLURK *rasping dying noises*, and they learned a lot of things that day. and the first thing they learned was that this is episode 61, section 45, take 1″ and the iMMEDIATELY launches into his line, perfectly in character

emma is clearly one of the people laughing loudest, but she switches back to minkowski incredibly quickly

emma finishes the first take of her last line and everyone starts cheering

George Hannon Junior Invitational Set for Aug. 9-10

The George Hannon Junior Invitational returns to the University of Texas Golf Club on August 9-10 with Texas Mutual Insurance Company returning as the presenting sponsor. This 36-hole event, which features some of the best Junior boy and girl golfers in Texas ages 12-18, sets up to be a great finish to another stellar LJT summer schedule.

“Having a partnership with Texas Mutual is such a blessing to the Hannon Cup Association,” Hannon Cup Association Managing Director Randi Long said. “When we set out to have a junior tournament, the goal was to host one of the best ones in Texas. Along with Texas Mutual and the Legends Junior Tour, I believe we have accomplished that goal.”

Texas Mutual Insurance Company is one of the state’s leading workers’ compensation providers. Texas Mutual Vice President of Marketing and Customer Engagement Jeremiah Bentley said the company is proud to be associated with this year’s championship.

“We’re happy to have the opportunity again to contribute to the organization’s mission,” Bentley said. “As a leader in the workers’ compensation industry, Texas Mutual is always seeking to partner with other leading organizations. This tournament is a high-quality event that provides value to sponsors and exposure to a first-class audience.”

George Hannon was born in Kemp, Texas, and had a 59-year PGA career, including an 18-year term as the University of Texas Men’s Golf coach. Hannon’s career at UT included NCAA titles in 1971 and 1972, as well as 12 Southwest Conference Championships. Hannon coached legends such as Ben Crenshaw, Tom Kite, Mark Brooks, Phil Blackmar, Brandel Chamblee, Warren Chancellor, Rik Massengale and Paul Thomas. He was inducted into the Texas Golf Hall of Fame in 1991 and was the Golf Coaches Associations’ 2001 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

The Legends Junior Tour has conducted the George Hannon Junior Invitational since the Hannon Cup Association created the event in 2009. It brings together the top 96 boys and girls in and around the state with players competing in a Boys 15-18, Girls 12-18 and Boys 14 & Under Division.

The field will take on UT Golf Club’s par-71 layout. Since it opened for play in 2003, the demanding Bechtol Russel design has always had a championship pedigree. The Austin-based club is the home of the University of Texas Men’s and Women’s golf teams, including the 2012 NCAA Men’s Golf National Champions. It’s played host to NCAA Regional Championships, the Betsy Rawls Invitational as well as TGA Major Championships, including the 99th Women’s Texas Amateur last year.

Over the years, the club has welcomed some of the highest profile players in the game of golf. These include three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, PGA Tour winners Dylan Frittelli, Cody Gribble and Jhonattan Vegas, reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Scottie Scheffler and 2017 U.S. Women’s Amateur Champion Sophia Schubert.

This is the sixth time in the tournament’s 13-year history for UT Golf Club to host the George Hannon Junior Invitational. It’s a challenging test of golf complemented by scenic Texas Hill Country views and always delivers a great championship. Other host clubs of this event include Austin Country Club, Spanish Oaks Golf Club and The Hills Country Club.

“It’s always exciting to cap off a great summer with a trip to Austin for the George Hannon Junior Invitational,” LJT Tournament Coordinator Adam Schulte said. “It’s a great event year after year and we can’t thank the Hannon Cup Association, Texas Mutual Insurance and UT Golf Club enough for making it all possible.”

At the 2020 George Hannon Junior Invitational, Austin’s own and University of Texas commit Keaton Vo captured the Boys 15-18 Division. Vo shot a bogey free 6-under-par 65 in the final round to go on and win by six strokes. In the Girls 12-18 Division, Nicole Vivier also of Austin fired a final round 2-under to win the division by two strokes. Henry Guan of Irving secured victory in the Boys 14 & Under Division after carding rounds of 73-68.  Guan entered the final round trailing by one stroke, his final round 3-under-par 68 was enough to win the division and earn his first victory with the Legends Junior Tour.

The George Hannon Junior Invitational is held in the Austin area annually and features one of the top-ranked fields on the LJT Schedule. Past champions of this event include Max Miller, Joe and Julia Beck, Scottie and Callie Scheffler, Brendan Redfern, Cole Hammer, Thomas Critch, Levi Valadez, Alexandra Rossi, Chandler Phillips, Hailee Cooper and Stephen Campbell Jr.

The George Hannon Junior Invitational is ranked by Golfweek and Junior Golf Scoreboard with the top half of each division earning points towards the LJT Player of the Year Standings. The top finishers of the Boys 15-18 and Girls 12-18 Divisions will also earn AJGA Performance Stars.

Players in the George Hannon Junior Invitational are members of the Texas Junior Golf Alliance which is a joint venture between the Texas Golf Association, the Southern and Northern Texas PGA Sections and the Houston Golf Association. The alliance provides junior golfers with top tier competition across the state and a path to gain experience and grow throughout their junior golfing careers.
