Rebecca and Wanda are both important and both have a place in Billy's life. It does not need to be either/or. And yet, I've seen multiple instances of people using Rebecca (and even Agatha) as a means to belittle Wanda with the most bad faith readings and it's just not cool.
I can't imagine the fandom pulling this kind of thing with Cassie Lang, Scott Lang, and Jim Paxton. No one (outside of maybe [REDACTED] stan salt fic) would ever use the part Jim played in raising Cassie as a way to imply that Cassie doesn't need Scott and shouldn't care about whether he's in her life, nor would it be used as proof that Scott doesn't actually care about her and that he "abandoned" her because he cares more about "the greater good." No, instead the fandom consistently praises Scott and Cassie's bond as well as the Paxton-Langs as an ideal and healthy blended family. All the time they've lost is seen for the tragedy that it is, not as ammo.
I get that a lot of this discussion is likely rooted in some folks thinking that Wanda shouldn't/doesn't need to come back to the MCU, but man, there's gotta be a better way of expressing that.

Hi! Your writing is amazing! I would love to have a romantic and a platonic matchup for Supernatural/MCU/Stranger Things please!
I'm a 34 yr old lady who loves the men! I'm 5'6", curvy, long dark brown hair with reddish tint, hazel eyes covered with nerdy glasses. I have 4 dark freckles on my cheek that resemble the little dipper, full lips, and a round face.
I am a nerd to the core - I'm a lover of classic movies from Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers classics to The Shining, I have every book I've ever had since childhood (and refuse to sell or throw out), my music collection is so eclectic I may as well be living multiple separate lives. If the grocery store has good music on the speakers I will sing and/or dance along in the aisles. I absolutely love to cook, my cookbooks are used/stained from multiple uses in the kitchen, and I'm always picking up unique ingredients to experiment with.
I have a literal Garfield cat - he's big, whines when he's hungry, and is a brat but I love him. I cry watching Disney movies no matter how many times I've seen them, I never turn down pizza, I can't stand raw onions, and while my workspace is neat and organized my closet is chaotic. I have no patience for slow drivers but patient with kids which I absolutely adore.
I've never judged someone just by how they look; my grandmother used to say I could read people's energy as I always seemed to know when someone was a good person or a walking red flag. While my personal life might be a huge mess, I always seem to find the words someone needs to hear. I'm considered the mother of my friends because I like to plan out road trips and I seem to have a Mary Poppins purse.
Thank you!
When I care and love someone, I do it with my whole heart. But hurt or betray me, I may forgive but I don't forget. I'm a girl who loves flowers, wears black, and is not afraid of the dark. (always wearing sunscreen because ew sun!)
Hello!
Thank you for your kind words!
I just have to say, I also love Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies!
I hope you like both sets of your matchups - romantic and platonic!
Enjoy!

Romantic and Platonic Matchups; Supernatural, Marvel, and Stranger Things
~~~
Romantic;
~~~
Supernatural;
Castiel -
Tumblr media
You met Castiel through Sam and Dean, having been their close friend for a while.
They'd casually mentioned the angel, but nothing could have prepared you for his actual presence.
The first time you saw him, you were half-expecting something more dramatic - wings unfurling, celestial light - but instead, he was standing stiffly next to Dean, head tilted, looking slightly confused by your immediate attempt at small talk.
Confused puppy.
Dean made an offhand joke about Castiel being "new to human social interaction," and you, ever the nurturer, took it upon yourself to help Castiel navigate the intricacies of people.
Your energy and kindness draw him in.
Cas admired how you could sense the intentions of others, your ability to read people being something even he found impressive.
You'd introduce him to classic movies, meticulously picking out the best black-and-white films and watching his intrigued reactions.
He quickly learned that when you sang or danced in public places, it was best to just go along with it rather than question it - especially since it made you so happy.
He loved listening to your music states, often asking you about different artists and genres.
He found your passion for music fascinating and would even remember specific songs that made you happy, playing them on a record player when he thought you needed comfort.
He would ask questions about human customs with genuine curiosity, which led to deep, meaningful conversations that left both of you feeling more connected.
Cas would find himself drawn to your warmth, admiring the way you love fully and care for others without hesitation.
He'd watch the way you mothered your friends, took care of people, and instinctively made them feel safe - something he'd never really had before.
At some point, he started bringing you small gifts.
Flowers he found particularly beautiful, feathers, rocks, or even books he thought you'd enjoy.
Each one had a deep, personal meaning to him.
Sam and Dean definitely noticed before you did and would tease Cas mercilessly, prompting him to tilt his head and ask, "Is it not normal to want to ensure their happiness?"
Dean even teased one time that Cas was a crow with the types of gifts he would bring you.
He began to seek out your company more than anyone else's, finding solace in your presence even during the quietest moments.
Cas wasn't one for grand speeches, but his words held weight.
One evening, after a hunt that went a little too close to the edge, he found you tending to a scrape on your arm, and the sight of you - bruised but still tender and caring - made something click.
"I do not understand the full scope of what this feeling is, but I know that when you are near, the world makes... Sense." He admitted, looking at you earnestly.
The way he gazed at you made your heart skip a beat, and at that moment, you knew he meant every word.
Cas would love small, domestic moments with you - watching old movies, helping you cook, and simply sitting with you in comfortable silence.
He'd start using little affectionate gestures, brushing his fingers against yours, standing just a bit closer than necessary, and tilting his head when he admired you.
When he saw you wearing all black and tending to your flowers, he'd make a pint to remember which ones were your favorite and bring you more.
If you ever fell asleep in the bunker library, he'd carry you to your room without hesitation, staying by your side until you woke; making sure you were safe.
~~~
Marvel;
Scott Lang -
Tumblr media
You were an Avenger, and Scott was... Well, Scott.
Your first interaction involved him stealing some of your pizza from the compound fridge, thinking it belonged to Clint.
You caught him red-handed, mid-bute, and instead of getting mad, you sighed and sat down with him, stealing another slice off his plate.
"Names, Y/N,"
"Scott."
You had just made your new best friend.
Scott quickly became your partner-in-crime for everything ridiculous, from grocery store dance-offs to late-night movie marathons.
You both shared a love for experimenting in the kitchen - Scott's attempts were chaotic, and you had to save several dishes from destruction, but the effort was what counted.
He adored your cat, despite the mutual animosity between them, and secretly bribed your cat with treats to win his favor.
Scott realized he had feelings for you when he saw how effortlessly you balanced chaos with care, planning everything down to the smallest detail for your friends but embracing spontaneity when it mattered.
He started making excuses to spend more time with you, whether it was showing up at your place with ice cream or insisting you needed a co-pilot for a mission that didn't require one.
Hope would roll her eyes at his very obvious crush and tell him to "Just tell them already, you absolute idiot."
Scott being Scott, it was clumsy.
He probably blurted it out in the middle of an argument about pizza toppings.
"Look, I don't care what toppings you put on the pizza as long as we eat it together- wait, that sounded like- uh, nevermind, uh, ignore me."
But you knew, he was very obvious.
You just laughed before pulling him in for a kiss.
Expect a lot of important dates, like surprise coffee runs, road trips, or museum visits where he tries (and fails) to impress you with historical facts.
He loves stealing your hoodies and wearing them proudly.
Tries to flirt with you with magic tricks.
Domestic moments include Scott falling asleep on the couch, you draping a blanket over him, and him unconsciously pulling you down with him.
He writes little port-it notes for you, leaving them in places he knows you'll find them.
Stranger Things;
Alexei Smirnoff -
Tumblr media
You and Murray have been friends for a while - he appreciates your sharp intuition, love for classic movies, and ability to organize chaos (something he sorely lacks).
When he ends up taking in Alexei, you’re the first person he calls.
The first time you meet Alexei, he’s sitting on Murray’s couch, happily sipping on a cherry Slurpee.
He glances up, does a double take, and then immediately looks at Murray with a raised eyebrow like Who is this?
Murray makes some sarcastic remark about you being the only normal person in his life before shoving you toward Alexei, telling you to “keep him entertained.”
Turns out, you don’t need to try hard.
You and Alexei immediately bond over movies - yeah, you can speak Russian, slay Queen - your collection of old classics makes his eyes light up, and soon he’s rambling about the few American films he’s seen.
Woody Woodpecker is his favorite though.
Your friendship with Alexei is playful and full of laughter.
His goofiness pairs perfectly with your fun-loving nature, and soon, you’re spending a ridiculous amount of time at Murray’s house just to hang out with him.
He’s fascinated by your cooking skills.
He’ll hover in the kitchen, watching you with wide eyes as you move effortlessly between ingredients and pots.
He always insists on tasting things, even before they’re done.
“Alexei, that’s raw dough-”
“Is good.”
You introduce him to Disney movies, and he absolutely loves them - he’ll sit wide-eyed in front of the TV, whispering predictions under his breath.
When he notices you crying at The Lion King (again), he gently nudges a tissue into your hand without saying a word.
Your cat is not a fan at first.
Alexei tries to win him over with treats, but your furry menace acts like he’s in charge.
Eventually, though, you find Alexei napping on your couch with your cat sprawled across his chest, both snoring lightly.
You teach Alexei basic English, and he gets pretty good.
I might as well say this now, but Alexei ain't dying in this.
Pretend that all is good.
Grocery shopping turns into an adventure - you’ll hum and dance in the aisles when a good song comes on, and Alexei, at first baffled, quickly joins in with an exaggerated twirl, laughing when you spin with him.
Alexei isn’t immediately aware that he’s falling for you, but Murray notices.
Every time Alexei smiles a little softer when you’re talking, Murray just sips his beer and mutters, “Oh boy.”
The first time Alexei realizes he’s in deep is when someone makes you laugh really hard - not him.
It catches him off guard, and suddenly, he doesn’t like the feeling in his chest.
He finds himself seeking you out more and more - waiting for you to come over, listening more intently to your stories, and memorizing the way you tuck your hair behind your ear when you’re focused.
He starts bringing you things without thinking - a flower he found on the sidewalk, an extra Slurpee, a new movie he thought you’d like.
It’s so casual that neither of you realize what’s happening.
It takes Murray’s meddling to make anything happen.
Matchmaker.
He’s the one who eventually shoves Alexei into admitting his feelings.
“You stare at them like they’re the last cherry Slurpee on Earth. Just tell them already.”
One evening, after watching a movie at your place, you find Alexei nervous for the first time.
He keeps fidgeting with his sleeves, clearing his throat, and avoiding your eyes.
Finally, in a mix of Russian and broken English, he confesses in the most endearing, awkward way possible, something along the lines of: “I think… You are better than Slurpee. And I like Slurpee very much.”
Your heart just melts.
When you reach for his hand, his entire face lights up in relief.
Alexei is a romantic in the most unintentional ways - he doesn’t always realize when he’s being sweet, but everything he does is laced with affection.
He absolutely adores cooking with you.
He’s a mess in the kitchen, constantly sneaking bites of food, but you wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything.
You two dance in the kitchen together - sometimes to old jazz records, sometimes to whatever is playing on the radio.
He’ll twirl you dramatically, and if you stumble, he’ll laugh and catch you in his arms.
He always brings you flowers, sometimes real, sometimes paper ones he tries (badly) to fold.
“They will never die this way,” He says with a proud grin.
Road trips are his favorite - especially when you plan them out with that Mary Poppins-level organization.
He loves the way you take care of everything, and he just enjoys the ride with you.
He loves tracing random patterns on your arm when you’re sitting together, his fingers light and absentminded, but always tender.
Morning routines are slow and cozy.
Alexei refuses to wake up properly without coffee, so you make a deal - whoever gets up first has to start the pot.
He hoards snacks in your house, always claiming, “Is for emergency.”
(The “emergency” is usually just a movie marathon.)
When he gets sick, he turns into the most dramatic patient ever.
“I am dying,” He groans, while you roll your eyes and spoon-feed him soup.
Your cat loves him now.
If Alexei sits down, your cat is immediately in his lap.
He steals your hoodies constantly.
They’re always too big on him, but he loves how soft they are (and the fact that they smell like you).
He would always make you laugh, even when you’re having a rough day.
He knows exactly how to be silly enough to pull you out of a bad mood.
He would never let you cry alone.
If you get emotional during a Disney movie, he’ll hold you close, no questions asked.
If you have a bad dream, he’d mumble half-asleep reassurances in Russian while holding you, as if that alone could ward off the nightmares.
If you’re ever overwhelmed, he’s the type to silently offer you a Slurpee and a hug, because sometimes you don’t need words - just comfort.
You’d spoil him with home-cooked meals, always remembering his favorites.
You’d introduce him to all your music, and he’d end up loving your most unexpected picks.
You’d never let him feel like an outsider - you make sure he knows that he’s wanted, that he belongs.
You’d plan little surprises for him, whether it’s a road trip, a movie night, or just a small gift that made you think of him.
Like cherry slurpies.
~~~
Platonic;
~~~
Supernatural;
Sam Winchester -
Tumblr media
You met Sam in the most unexpected yet fitting way - maybe at a dusty old bookstore where you both reached for the same worn-out classic or at a roadside diner where you bonded over your mutual hatred of raw onions.
He was instantly drawn to your ability to read people.
It reminded him of his own instincts, and he respected it immediately.
Sam adores your love for books.
He’d ask about your collection, flipping through the pages of your childhood favorites with genuine interest.
If you ever mentioned wanting a rare or nostalgic book, he'd keep an eye out on hunts or in random bookstores.
You and Sam would have deep discussions about movies, literature, and life itself, often over homemade meals you insisted on making because “The two of you can’t survive on gas station food, Sam.”
If Dean teases you for crying over Disney movies, Sam is right there with you, totally not wiping his own tears away at the emotional parts.
Grocery store trips are chaotic.
You’re dancing in the aisles, and Sam is torn between pretending he doesn’t know you and fully indulging in the fun.
Eventually, he just gives in and twirls you around like you’re in a classic movie.
You both love road trips, and you always plan them out.
Sam appreciates your Mary Poppins-level organization, and you make sure he actually takes a break from hunting.
Sam bonds with your Garfield-like cat, especially when he’s researching.
You walk in on him absentmindedly petting the cat while deep in lore books.
Sam is fiercely protective of you.
If anyone hurts or betrays you, he won’t forget it - much like you.
When you have a rough day, he always finds the right words to comfort you.
If you need to cry, he’s there with a shoulder to lean on and a warm cup of tea.
If you're stressed, he drags you out on a walk at night, just to talk and let the world slow down.
Sam sees you as one of his closest friends, someone who brings warmth and stability to his chaotic life.
You’re the person who reminds him that there’s still joy in the world, even amidst all the supernatural horror.
~~~
Marvel;
Natasha Romanoff -
Tumblr media
Natasha is naturally skeptical of new people, but something about you intrigued her.
Maybe you could read people so well or how you carried yourself with a quiet strength.
She first met you at a party or gathering, and while she was scanning the room for threats, she noticed you reading people just as quickly as she was.
She liked that.
Natasha quickly learned that you’re the mom friend, and she found it both amusing and endearing.
She admires how fiercely you love and protect the people in your life.
That’s something she understands deeply.
If you’re cooking, she’ll sit in the kitchen, watching you, offering occasional sarcastic commentary, but secretly she enjoys the comfort of it.
She definitely makes fun of you for crying at Disney movies but secretly thinks it’s sweet.
“It’s a cartoon, Y/N. It’s not real.”
(But she watches anyway.)
(She is also crying on the inside, especially when you watch Inside Out or The Lion King.)
Training sessions where she insists you learn at least basic self-defense.
"You never know when it'll come in handy."
She’ll go shopping with you, but only if there’s an incentive - like you promising her food after.
Natasha is the friend who’d never let you walk alone at night.
If you ever had to, she’d either walk with you or stay on the phone the whole time.
If someone hurts you, Natasha will absolutely make them fear her.
She’s not above subtle intimidation.
She doesn’t open up easily, but you have a way of making her feel safe enough to talk about things she normally wouldn’t.
If she sees you stressed, she’ll either drag you out for a drive or make you take a break with a dumb movie.
“C’mon, Y/N, we’re watching something terrible tonight.”
Natasha sees you as family.
She might not say it often, but she trusts you completely.
You’re one of the few people who can make her feel normal and safe.
~~~
Stranger Things;
Joyce Byers -
Tumblr media
You met Joyce in a small-town setting - maybe at a local store while picking up groceries or at a diner where you bonded over music.
She immediately liked your energy-reading ability.
“I knew I wasn’t imagining it, that guy totally gave me bad vibes.”
Joyce adores your love for cooking.
If you make something, she’ll be the first to try it and insist it’s the best thing she’s ever had.
She admires how you don’t judge people based on appearances, something she’s always taught her kids.
If you love organizing road trips, Joyce adores this.
She’s got a chaotic life, so having a friend who can help plan fun outings is a dream.
You help her decorate for the holidays - Halloween, Christmas, everything.
She loves making the house feel festive.
Movie marathons with classic films with the fam.
Joyce has a soft spot for the same classics you do, so you spend nights watching Casablanca or old horror films.
Helping her with errands or just keeping her company while she’s working.
She appreciates just having someone to talk to.
Joyce is the type of friend who would immediately go into mom mode if someone hurt you.
She will make a scene if necessary.
She’s a great listener, and if you ever need advice, she’s there to talk you through it.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, she makes sure you’re taking care of yourself, even if it means just dropping off some food at your place.
Joyce sees you as a rock in her life.
She doesn’t have many people she can rely on, but she knows she can count on you.
Your friendship is one of warmth, support, and unwavering loyalty.
since i’ve seen most of the mcu, ive decided that i was gonna go back and watch whatever movies i skipped or just didn’t know existed. my first watch was the ant-man trilogy, so ill be giving my unsolicited opinions on the movies.
Ant-Man 2015 - absolutely phenomenal, one of the best origin stories in the MCU i’ve seen so far. i really enjoyed the plot, the characters were well written and interesting to watch, the action was beautifully choreographed, the suit designs were just perfect, and i actually really enjoyed the humor. it was cringey at parts, and some jokes were dumb but i laughed a lot anyway. i really enjoyed the background characters, which isn’t too common in mcu movies for me. most background characters seem pointless and unimportant to me in most movies, but this movie did it just right. i loved luis. i’d rate it a solid 9-10/10.
Ant-Man and the Wasp 2018 - i didn’t like this movie as much as i enjoyed the first, mainly because there was a lot of things left unexplained or shown and not stated and i got confused. that was probably due to the fact i haven’t seen civil war in a very long time, so i tend to ignore movies around that time. it was good though. i really enjoyed this movie’s humor, i laughed a lot and the humor was really well balanced with the emotional parts of the movie that hit harder. ghost was BEAUTIFUL, i really did enjoy her character and she was easy to connect with on an emotional level and i enjoyed that. having three “villains” after the main character or cast is normally hard to execute well, but i think it was really well done in this movie. i also really loved the ending, it was sweet and wholesome and was a really perfect way to end this movie. this is easily an 8 or even a 9/10.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 2023 - i know a lot of people didn’t like this movie, which lowered my expectations of it, but i was very decently surprised by it. the soundtrack was well curated, the costumes were beautiful, the characters had well done development and the plot was very clear and easy to understand with interesting subplots happening simultaneously. i really loved the aliens in the quantum realm, even if their existence wasn’t really explained. the humor was cringey, for sure, and a few moments i did kind of hate whoever wrote that joke specifically, but it still felt like an ant-man movie and that made me happy. i really liked cassie in this movie, the way she effortlessly brought back the “avenger” in scott was something i appreciated a lot. kang the conqueror was done well, and i liked the suspense he gave to the movie. it made the movie feel more serious, which is something the other movies didn’t. while this is definitely my least favorite out of the three, it was still a phenomenal movie and i hope we get to see more of them in the future. i’d give this a firm 7-8/10.
i loved the trilogy a lot! it was kind of refreshing, getting a funny marvel movie after so many serious and intense projects. i love scott a lot, and hank was honestly a guilty pleasure of mine. i hope we get to see more the cast more!!
my next watch (technically a rewatch, but i haven’t seen volume 3 so i’m counting it): Guardians of the Galaxy, 1-3. after that, i’m planning on watching the Thor movies, which will be a pain in my ass because i didn’t like the first one. wish me luck.
Lawyering through fandoms: The four types of common law murder
1) Frank Castle / The Punisher shoots a criminal because he wanted to. It was not out of self-defense and Frank had time to think about it. Intent-to-kill murder.
2) Matt Murdock / Daredevil beats up a criminal with his sticks until the poor bloke goes unconscious. Unbeknownst to Matt, the guy ended up dying in the hospital due to the several blows he took to the head. Grievous bodily harm murder.
3) Party!Thor Odinson decides to hold another party in Midgard. On a dare, he sends a bolt of lightning at a random passing car. The lightning was supposed to miss since Thor only meant to scare the person. Instead, the lightning directly hit the car and electrocuted the person to death. Depraved heart murder (or reckless murder).
4) Scott Lang takes part in a burglary, specifically to steal the Ant-Man suit from the Pyms. During the course of the robbery/burglary, he unintentionally scares Hank and Hope’s live-in maid. The maid has a sudden heart attack and dies instantly. Felony-murder.
have u seen antman and wasp? there's sum potential endogenic plurality in it
Is this about the thing with Janet sort of possessing Scott!?
I never thought about that before, but I can totally see that as plural (or at least plural-adjacent) now that you mention it!
