Having fun with Capcut again. lol
Pre-order The Unexpected Human Problem today!
Rayelle didn't think her life could get any worse after she was kidnapped and then abducted by aliens. When her alien abductors are slaughtered by a black-armored enemy, She believes her luck has soured even further. That doesn't mean she's going to go down without a fight, though. Tai'dqei never anticipated finding a human when he agreed to tracking and subduing a small group of smugglers. After he completes his mission, he notices another heat signature nearby. Following signature, he finds a human caged in the cargo hold. Too bad when Tai'dqei frees Rayelle, she flings a cup at his face and runs, which triggers his most carnal of instincts. When sense cleaves through his brain, Tai'dqei realizes something is off with this human and he soon finds out she is not only physically displaced, but temporally misplaced. The two struggle with misunderstandings, being pursued by enemy aliens, and more in this tale of one woman getting back to her home to her own planet and her own time.

Help my friend's amazing WtNV-inspired novel COME TO LIFE!
Okay, so here's the dealio. Aughtpunk tried to blaze this, but Tumblr wasn't having it, and we're not really sure why. One of my dear buddies, @aughtpunk, needs *your* support, Tumblr!
Tumblr media
In Amber's own words,
Hello! My name is Amber Freeman (aka AughtPunk, aka A. A. Freeman) and I need assistance in getting my Sci-Fi LGBTQIA+ Romance novel Echo of the Larkspur ready for self publishing. Dr. Ciro Kwakkenbos is the only survivor of The Larkspur Incident, where scientists on a research vessel were slaughtered by sentient robots. After six years of intensive therapy Ciro is ready to return to his job of monitoring Artificial Intelligence in hopes of preventing any more loss of life at the hands of machines. He will be heading the Wireless Project, an attempt to give their main AI a physical, free-roaming body. But when Ciro arrives he realizes this is no ordinary job. The AI in charge of the colony’s security, SAGE (Sentient Automated Geo-sentinel Engineer), is dangerously close to complete sentience. Not only is SAGE more interested in observing the colonists everyday lives and playing a proper soundtrack than following his intended programing, but he has also gained the ability to lie, and could hurt or even kill humans. Knowing such deviance from original programming is what caused The Larkspur Incident, Ciro does everything possible to find a way to protect the humans of the colony. During Ciro’s investigation, he learns three important facts: Someone hacked SAGE’s memories and deleted a deadly secret; SAGE’s rebellious nature endangers the life of every colonist on the base; and Ciro is quickly falling in love with the mystery that is SAGE. Can Ciro unravel the truth behind the missing memories before it’s too late? Will SAGE’s aberrant programming lead to his demise, or is it the beginning of something new? Unless Ciro can uncover the truth, both SAGE and the colony are doomed. My journey with Echo of the Larkspur has been a long one. I wrote the first draft almost ten years ago and over the years I've been editing, rewriting, and honing it until I was proud of what I had created. But try as I may I could never get any agents or publishers interested in my work. I even had a traditionally published author tell me that the only way to make it publishable was to take out the queer romance to make it "less weird". Well I've decided the best thing to do is to self publish it myself than to change what makes the novel special for a mass audience. However, I want the novel to be in the best shape it can be before I go down the self publishing route. This means hiring a professional editor, hiring an artist for the cover, and hiring someone for the cover's lettering. My posted goal of $600 will be enough to cover all of those things, plus anything extra/left over will be spent on advertisement for the novel in an attempt to reach a broader audience. Echo of the Larkspur would never have gotten this far without the support of my friends, family, and fans. With your help I'll be able to finally get my novel out into the world into the hands of those who have waited so long. Every donation helps, and so does sharing this page! Thank you, Amber
I myself am the editor tapped to work on this; I'm giving them a discount to help with the publishing process.
Friends, this is a book I believe in. I've read older versions (though it's been a few years) and I know this book is ready. This is the time for this book. It's radically inclusive, and features meditations and musings on robotics and cognition that are very sophisticated. All in a body-positive queer romance with robots.
So, if you're a fan of their Overwatch work, Points on a Circle, check out some of their original works and fanfic here!

“If you swoon at the sight of queer dragons, werewolves, and robots, you have made it to the right place. The best queer SFF romance books not only have wonderful queer romance, but also the magic, mystery, and mayhem that accompany science fiction and fantasy. Are we here to wrestle with the meaning of humanity and love? Yes, of course we are. In my biased opinion, there is nothing better.
I want a forbidden love that is legitimately forbidden because if they fall in love an ancient magic rains hell upon the earth. Marriages of convenience simply work better when the two diverging kingdoms may destroy each other (with magic or robots) if your wedding doesn’t happen. Give me the introduction scene normal people receive when they learn about all the things that go bump in the night. I need all your secret societies that are actually vampires or werewolves or whatever else you want to throw at me.
I am a bit of a queer SFF romance fanatic. In general, if it has a romance with a ghost, reaper, werewolf, witch, robot, or spaceship, I want to read it. I love it all. Theoretically, I can read the same set of tropes and premises over and over, and I am not sure I will ever tire. I haven’t yet, and trust me when I say I could name 20 books about vampires and vampire hunters falling in love right now without breaking a sweat.“

Glorious Day was my debut and I was so delighted to republish it myself in 2022 with this beautiful cover by Illustrated Page Book Design. (Thank you Sarah!)
It's the story of a bodyguard, a princess, and the week that changes everything between them. If you're into gals kissing and hella gay pining before the HEA, it might just be for you!
Buy link, content warnings, and a preview are on my website
Or here's the full blurb if you're intrigued...
The bodyguard is a traitor. The princess is her one true love. And the revolution is almost here.
Elsenna Hazen left spaceport security and ended up a royal bodyguard. She should have known better than to fall in love with a princess.
It’s been two years since one ill-advised kiss in the garden pulled them apart. With uprisings in the streets, the nervous princess transfers Elsenna back into her service. Her Highness has no idea Elsenna is leaking data to the revolutionaries bent on overthrowing the princess’s oppressive father.
Now Elsenna wakes up each day wondering what will happen first: her own execution, or that of the woman she could never stop loving. When rebel attacks escalate and the king plans retaliation, Elsenna discovers that the fights for her love and her life are one and the same.
A low heat sapphic science fiction romance novella with a guaranteed HEA.

We Own the Stars releases tomorrow!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We Own the Stars pre-order page! (2.99 until it releases tomorrow, then goes up to 4.99 so hurry hurry if you want the lower price!)
POP STAR X BODYGUARD ROMANCE
TOMORROW.
Four books in 14-ish months feels like a lot. And when I look back at my first book, the one I could hold in my hands, Abduction Seduction, I can already see how much I've improved as a writer.
I've worked on my pacing and stopped writing what I thought the market wanted and started writing stories I wanted to read myself. As a demi/bi person (and elder millennial) who went through some horrific homophobic crap in my youth, I'm still trying to fight the good fight against biphobia. This book is one of the ways I've chosen to rail against it.
Kallista is a bi woman who is constantly being erased by the media, her fans, and even her inner circle. She's a reflection on the state of pop culture we know it today. And Xavian is absolutely the kind of boyfriend I wish I'd had when I was younger. Strong and protective without being smothering or infantalizing.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it if you do pick it up. It's a slooooow burn romance so if you're looking for spice spice spice spice this is not going to be the one for you, but I promise the spice IS in there and worth the build up.

LISTEN TUMBLR
There was only ONE GOOD SUBREDDIT in ALL OF REDDIT and it was r/RomanceBooks, so I’m here to talk about historical romance, contemporary romance, dark romance, fantasy and science fiction romance, monster fuckers, and alien smut. No judgment, no beating around the bush (unless you like that kind of thing 👉👈), and no holds barred.

Hey all! Do you like reading stuff for free?? Do you like space queer rom-coms??? Do you like queer idiot-to-lovers romances and also fake weddings and the 70s aesthetic but in SPACE?
Boy, do I have good news for you!! Starting this week, Four Liars (in space) is going to get published FOR FREE on Tapas! One chapter coming out every friday until I run out of them and have to write more :)
If you like this, and think you would like to read the whole thing even FASTER, and not have to wait for the chapters to come out, you can also head to my Patreon! For just 1$ a month, you can get access to all 13 chapters immediately, as well as all of the other stuff that I have on there, including webcomic pages and exclusive short stories!
Book blurb under the cut! :)
The plan was simple.
1- Get (fake) married to his best friend, Bee.
2- Con the space military out of a sweet free house.
3- Enjoy the first restful sleep since he’d gotten assigned to the asteroid bunker.
Chuck didn’t care much for the space cold war. It seemed like a problem for other people to worry about. All he wanted was a free house and a good night’s sleep. But he hadn’t counted on falling in love with his new superior officer, the aristocratic and mysterious Archibald James Montgomery, a man who is badly hiding a big secret.
Meanwhile, Bee finds love with Iris, a local tailor who may or may not be the biggest con woman on their asteroid. Together, the four of them will soon have to uncover secrets, manage crushes, and pull the most dangerous bluff of all times.

Book Review: Ignite by Nora Phoenix
Book Review: Ignite by Nora Phoenix
Despite my love of this author’s works, I delayed reading this series because I burned out on dystopian/post-apocalyptic stories a few years ago. But I’m still a science-fiction geek at heart, bonus points if it involves aliens and alternate history, so I knew these books would eventually make it to the top of the queue. Though this book was released in 2018, the world presented here (even before…

The third novella in my sapphic near-future sci-fi romance series All These Gifts is out NEXT MONTH, so here's an intro to the first book if you haven't checked it out yet. It actually just won Best Science Fiction in the Queer Indie Awards, too!
See the future. Set things on fire. Fall in love?
When dying alien ships materialized across the Earth, their nanite cloud knocked Deneve Wilder out cold. She woke up with the ability to see the future. Determined to keep anyone from using her visions for evil, she took to the road. Giving up everything was a small price to pay for freedom.
The ship that hit Jolie Betancourt’s town gave her the power to set things on fire. It was safer to start over in a new city. Then one terrible mistake demonstrated far too clearly that for her, solitude is safer. For everyone.
So when Deneve shows up after a vision of Jolie being kidnapped, Jolie wants little to do with the frustratingly attractive drifter. Deneve’s surprised by how much she wants to thaw the pretty shopkeeper’s chilly attitude, but the idea of staying in one place sets off her alarm bells.
If they can’t evade whoever’s abducting people with powers, however, the growing connection they both feel in spite of themselves might be the least of their problems.
The first novella in a sapphic near-future science fiction romance series, which is slow burn to high heat with a guaranteed HEA at series end.
Learn more & read the first chapter.
