Tomarry AU where Tom HATES this book he read because his favourite character dies a miserable death. So what if his favorite character was a no-named side villain? Why does it matter that he only had like seven lines (seven is Tom's favourite number anyways)? He was still gorgeous, smart and strong and beautiful — and it doesn't matter that others think he isn't all that because they would never know him— understand him like TOM DOES.
An AU where Tom has a healthy obsession with a character named Harry Potter, a no named baron's son who was the first to go against the king (MC's father, and the mc who is incidentally known as Draco Malfoy, ahem anyways); he tries to “poison” him. But he gets caught or to be more precise he ends up sacrificing himself for the common girl Hermione Granger (the female lead, I'm sorry guys but imagine the fucking drama.) who gets blamed for his transgressions.
But that is not why Tom falls for this weak villain, no — it's because he respects how this no-named orphan became a baron on his own two feet without anyone being there for him especially in a world where old money and title is everything— and he hates how he had to give his life for the MC to notice the female lead? (Harry is better looking and smarter than her anyways — Tom, in an online forum perhaps.)
Anyways, now imagine Tom dying (he hated it so yes he ends up looking for immorality anyways.) and waking up in the world he hated. Now imagine, Tom Riddle, waking up in the body of a Duke who wasn't even given a name in the novel. (He would know because he has a photographic memory, ok? It's totally not because he read it more than 14 times) and then saying fuck it and owning it.
Just think, Tom taking over the world slowly with his worldly knowledge while trying to keep Harry alive because even though he was right about Harry being smart; the guy treats his life like Draco treats his money - you get the idea.
#so yes#Tom Riddle but isekai's and tries to seduce the canon fodder#oh and he also takes over the world while he is at it#yes order is the main villain of the story tom read#Ron's family is still poor im sorry#Hermione can end up with Ron or Draco#it's up to you#but honestly i put them as mc#because draco is the signature blonde prince while Hermione is the signature smart brunette#like its a trope LMAOO#but dw Tom makes it all better#by being the bigger Villain?#haha. because guess what maybe Lucius was the main villain all along#ill stop#its just#its so like tom to fall for the villain in the story 😭#my man's probably hate read the story to shit on people because:#his harry deserved better#tomarry#harrymort#tom riddle#Harry Potter#also yes Tom still has black duchy's royalty#but he is the one who ends up winning Bellatrix and Barty#and yes Narcissa (the queen) helps Tom save Harry 🥰#Ron is still Harry's best friend btw and because of Tom now so is hermione :')

What trope you will NEVER write ?
While there are tropes that I really don't care for (Enemies to Lovers, Childhood Friends to Lovers), I don't really think there is a trope that I wouldn't write? I think the only thing that would come close is Fake Dating. Not because I have anything against it, I just don't see how it would ever take a part in any of the fics I would want to write. And there also may be a bit of a skill issue with that one too. LOL
But as a whole, I don't really write according to tropes. I don't really care for tropes as a whole. Some of my fics may contain tropes, but it's not purposeful. I just want to tell a story in the way I see fit. If it contains a trope, that's because it fit in with the story I wanted to tell. I always have goals when I write things? I want the fic to achieve certain things. But like fulfilling a trope is never one of them. Idk. I don't read for the trope. I read to read a good story. And that's how I write.
#about me#that being said there are tropes that i'm interested in as concepts#i love the concept of one sided enemies/rivals to lovers#there's something hilarious about seeing someone like 'I HATE YOU' and the other person just like..... chillin#there are also some other tropes i'm interested in but they're not fit for like.... fanfiction. more original fiction stuff#but even then i wouldn't consider them 'tropes' because i wouldn't consider them that popular?#there are just certain dynamics done in fiction that i am absolutely obsessed with#there's this manga/light novel called the wolf-lord's lady#about a noble girl who fell in love with her servant? but in the end the servant headed a coup to take over the... duchy i think?#turns out the noble girl's family was a bunch of dictators that did terrible things to the commoners on the regular#however the noble girl was 'innocent' because she did not know the things her family was doing. but regardless in the end she was executed#the story starts off after she is reincarnated into her second life#she feels she needs to live her life in repentance for her ignorance and the harm it caused#what you find out is that the servant truly loved her as well but was forced to put her to death. he couldn't save her#anyway it's a complex story#but i really love that 'trope' of ignorance and paying the price of it#and the 'trope' of the tragedy of killing the one you love because it is necessary to do so#that would be impossible to add into a fanfic HAHA#but as for the classic tropes like one bed or enemies to lovers or rivals to lovers etc etc etc#idk i........ they don't really appeal to me as concepts?#to me they're just tools#if a story is a 'project' i want to use the right tools to create my 'project' properly. however i don't discriminate between tools#however some people base their 'project' around the tools they aim to use because they enjoy using that tool#that isn't really me

I know it’s no longer ‘cool’ to talk about/critique Frozen, but my friend Cait and I were talking about twist villains and how Hans was a bad example, and how he didn’t even need to be a twist villain for it to still work and yeah no I’m still thinking on it.
Because no, really… why did we need Hans to be a twist villain? Why did he have to actually be playing a long con and be all ‘muahaha, actually I don’t love you.’ We already had the threat of the eternal winter, the fracturing relationship between Elsa and Anna, and if you needed another outside force to be the villain, Duke Weselton was right there.
You wouldn’t even need to change much, really.
Instead, have it so Hans and Anna do kiss… and nothing happens. They’re both shocked and upset - not by the implications, those don’t hit them yet, but because they had an idea on how to save her, and it failed. Meanwhile, Duke Weselton is shit-stirring and going after Elsa.
You bring Olaf in at some point, and while he and Hans are trying to keep Anna warm, it comes out that maybe it didn’t work because Anna doesn’t love Hans. And, similarly, Hans doesn’t really love Anna - their ‘true love’ was based on infatuation after knowing each other for less than one night, while they mostly just goofed off and had fun, and neither of them actually know much of anything about the other.
(It wouldn’t just be Anna not knowing anything about Hans, you make it so Hans doesn’t know much about Anna either. Neither of them know each other’s favorite foods or colors or best friends or bad habits.)
Scene keeps going til it comes out that the one Anna really loves now is Kristoff.
And yeah this still raises a problem in that Anna and Kristoff didn’t know each other that long either, but it’s a Disney movie, people get married after three days, whatever.
So now the plan is for both Olaf and Hans to get Anna to Kristoff and protect Elsa from Duke Weselton. Make Weselton the guy about to cut Elsa’s head off.
The movie then proceeds like canon, up to the point where Hans is punched out. Now instead Weselton is publicly exposed for his shit-stirring, it’s declared they will no longer be in a trade relationship with his duchy, and Elsa instead turns to Hans and he’s made Ambassador of Southern Isles. Hans and Anna part on good times, agreeing to be friends, Hans and Kristoff are also friendly with one another, and the takeaway is “Sometimes relationships don’t work out and that’s okay, it’s neither person’s fault.”
And instead of “Don’t marry a man you just met because what if he’s evil?” it’s actually “One great date does not guarantee a great relationship, relationships/love is based on mutual experiences and trust, not a sudden burst of attraction and infatuation.” Which honestly is a much better message for the kids.
…why did Hans need to be the villain?

Reactions to Crazier Bastard's Chapter 294
Brief summary: Cale wonders if Exion is an enemy or not. Cale meets the great elf, and talks about the WT and the impending end of the world.
==========
Is Exion an enemy or not? That was the question Cale had after this chapter. Frankly, I would like it if Exion joined Cale's side instead of the Dragon Lord's. All ten dragon gods were considered villains, so it would be nice twist if he switched sides.
Exion was someone who pretended to be a human. He started it as a play he did for fun. But as time passed, 200 years to be exact, the play became real. It became his life.
He fell in love and married a human, a princess of a fallen kingdom. He created a fiefdom, calling it a Grand Duchy, and became the Grand Duke. He accepted humans as his citizens, and treated them well. And now, he was about to become a father and expecting a child soon.
Exion wrote to Cale in a letter that he really wanted to protect his family, even if it meant betraying the Dragon Lord or destroying the world. Of course, there were suspicious parts to his story.
Was his good treatment of humans genuine or just an act to govern them efficiently? And how old exactly was his human wife? Why was she still alive and young-looking after all these years? Was her secret to youth and long life the thing he was offering a solution to Pope Kesilia's limited lifespan? At the end, Cale thought that he really needed to talk with Exion to figure him out.
Cale's meeting with the great elf though was quite funny. 😂
Clopeh: *knocks on the door* Great elder: *opens and sees Clopeh* Great elder: ...There's a crazy bastard here who overcame brainwashing. *stares at Clopeh as if he was a strange creature* Later... Great elder: *talks about the doom and destruction of the world and the WT* Cale: *counters all the doom talk with his plans to save the world* Everyone: *looks at Cale in shock* Clopeh: *feels proud as he looks at Cale* Great elder: There's a crazier bastard here.
We finally know who the two the chapter title were referring to. 😂 Clopeh was the crazy bastard, and Cale was the crazier bastard. 🤣🤣🤣 Clopeh was "crazy" because he resisted the brainwashing of the guardian knight's sword. Cale was "crazier" because he planned to completely reverse the impending doom and destruction of Aipotu.
Ending Remarks The Exion part surprised me, and made me look forward to Cale's meeting with him. Next chapter would be Cale meeting the World Tree which was... suicidal?! Or to be exact, it was willing to sacrifice itself to save the world from destruction even though it was "immortal". Could this WT still be saved? I'm excited to know what Cale's plan for the WT would be.

The mad desire for vengeance burned within you like an uncontrollable wildfire, threatening to consume all thoughts and reason with each passing day. It lashed wildly like fire accumulating within the belly of a dragon, waiting to be unleashed at those who wronged you, and your family.
But you were too weak. Too fragile, like a newborn chick. What could you possibly do in your miserable state?
Every night while the world slept, you would lie awake in your dirty cot, praying endlessly for someone to save you. Be it God or the Devil himself, you begged to be saved. To be given a second chance.
Then, your prayers were answered. Not by God but the Devil.
"I can grant you only one of your wishes, little one. So, tell me, what do you desire?"
There were a million things that you desired. A warm home. A loving family. However none of those could be compared to your life long desire.
"Vengeance."
"Are you sure that is what you desire?" You do not remember what kind of expression he had on, but the amusement was evident in his voice.
"I am." You answer firmly.
"Very well."
He held his hand out for you to grab, a final chance for you to turn back on your world. But a normal life was something you have given up on a long time ago.
You firmly grab his inviting hand, knowing fully well that there was no turning back now.
The Devil smiled wickedly.
genres ; dark, gothic fiction, romance, crime, thriller
setting ; fictional world of Celtica (loosely based on modern Britain from 1900's), Modern (at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution)
Set in the early 19th century, you play as the heir of the powerful aristocratic family of Morrigan. But your true identity is that of a fallen noble from a disgraced house. Once renowned for its art and craftsmanship, your family collapsed after falling into crippling debt following a failed business attempt and accusations of planning a coup against the royal family. At least that's what the public is aware of. However you know better than that. Your family were no traitors, they were victims of a malicious plot woven by none other than the Duke of Sinclair, once an old friend of your family. Following the false accusations your family collapsed in no time and your parents and siblings were executed publicly.
You who were the lone survivor of this massacre changed your identity for fear of being caught and killed as well, living as a coal miner in an old orphanage. You craved vengeance but what could you, a fallen noble from a disgraced house, possibly do against a Duke who is one of the pillars of the great empire and the closest associate of the Empress.
You prayed day and night to the heavenly being that watched your downfall, desperately begging to be given a second chance in life. But all seemed for naught as the days turned to weeks and weeks to years. Just when you had given up all hope for revenge, an opportunity landed before you, appearing in the form of your father and the current head of the Morrigan Duchy, Law Morrigan.
Between the two choices given to you, as to whether you'd seek justice or vengeance against your enemies, you chose vengeance.
For the past 12 years you have been trained to become the perfect killer by your father. Born with the extremely rare phenomenon known only as a 'Miracle' you have been blessed by the Murder Miracle.
Now, young heir, this is your story. Your history to be written. Will continue down your bloody warpath of vengeance and be remembered in history as the punisher of the wicked and upsurer of the monarchy, OR will you let the impartial hands of justice make their judgement to your wrong doers and be remembered as the saint of justice. The choice is yours.
House of Ashes is a dark, interactive work of fiction that takes place in the early 19th century, at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. It follows the story of vengeance in the midst of political chaos, grisly murders and schemes behind the scenes, while you have to choose between morality and desire to achieve what you want and what you believe in.
It is rated 18+ for violence, explicit themes, possible sexual content, and ofcourse, lots of blood and gore.
Customize yout heir from their name, appearance, gender identity, pronouns anf many more. Choose what your heir thinks of their family, their position and their responsibilities.
Choose a weapon and master an ancient martial art of choice. Or don't and become a jack of all trades.
Choose what kind of heir you want them become and how far you're willing to go to protect your title. Will you go for a more diplomatic approach with a case of mutual relationship with your siblings or crush them with your overwhelming strength to show your authority.
Will you choose to give in to your murderous instincts or suppress them.
Get involved in a murder investigation following a serious of gruesome serial killings, and maybe learn that there was more than what meets the eye regarding the downfall of your house.
Indulge in some romance along the way with six different characters with varying backgrounds to choose from. Or just don't.
Choose a pet cat or dog to become your acquaintance. Perhaps if you're feeling a little exotic, a hawk will do?
More features to come
The Crown Prince - Maximilian Windsor Celtica [Male]
The oldest of the Sun Twins, Crown Prince Maximilian is a very reverred personality among the nobles. He is known for his shrewdness and extremely ambitious nature. A very charismatic person, he has a way with his words which often allows others to lower their guard around him. Aiming to become the Emperor of the Celtica Empire one day, having such ambitious goals mean Maximilian is willing to do anything to achieve them. That includes sending assassins after his twin, the Crown Princess. With an analytical mind that allows him to see those inferior than him as mere pawns, falling for him is a doomed endeavor.
He is the holder of the Domination Miracle.
The Crown Princess - Victoria Windsor Celtica [Female]
The youngest of the Sun Twins, Crown Princess Victoria is often compared to her golden brother and frequently referred to as the ugly duckling of the two. An aloof individual, Victoria is a person of very few words and prefers to end things up quickly with sharp jabs and assertive speeches. Although a cold person, she has a kind side to her too, which often sees her donating large portions of her personal wealth to orphanages and charities, making her widely beloved among the citizens of the empire. Due to the frequent assassination attempts on her life, Victoria has chosen to close her heart off towards everyone, preferring to bear all the burdens on her own.
She is the holder of the Conquest Miracle.
The Fated Enemy - Cedric/Cordelia Sinclair [Gender Selectable]
Your mortal enemy. The child of the person responsible for your family's death and your misery. There are many things that you wish to address them as but cannot find the words to. That's how much you despise them. Imagine the surprise when they offered their hand for friendship to you. Contrary to how you imagine them as, like a spoiled young master from a privileged family, they're relatively humble. And also a little stupid. But behind their sunshine happy-go-lucky attitude, something much darker is lurking.
They are the holder of the Shackle Miracle.
The Best Friend - Orion/Ophelia Lancaster [Gender Selectable]
The lone, stoic heir of the righteous Lancaster Duchy, and also your best friend ever since the day you stepped foot into your new home, they are one of the few people that you trust. Although they have some trouble communicating with people regarding their feelings, they're a gentle giant compared to their intimidating features. They're also very open and blunt with their words whenever they speak so people tend to think of them as rude, not you though, you like their honesty. The two of you have stuck through the thick and thin of each other's lives like gum and even promised to do so until the end of your lives. But good things never truly last do they? A small misunderstanding which eventually gew to become a feud between the two oldest families of the empire, you wonder, what went wrong?
They're the holder of the Belief Miracle.
The Dream Demon - [???]
All dreams have a price to be paid. Are you willing to pay yours?
The Ash Demon - [???]
An old fossil, rising from the burnt ashes of your past. Do you remember me? Don't worry if you don't. I do.

ChoiCale Northern Duke AU
Northern duke Cale Henituse with his long hair frosted over and tangling in the winter wind, fur cape thick and warm and pitch black, weighing down his shoulders. Northern duke Cale Henituse who stays shut in his castle unless drowning his lonely sorrows (apparently) and does not care for the people he protects (apparently), but stumbles back through the gates at unholy hours of the night or morning reeking of alcohol, clothes stained through with red in the dim candle light.
Choi Han stumbles onto the lands of the remote duchy after fighting through a thicket of winter demons and a pack of timber wolves that took him as easy prey, and the village welcomes him warmly. They celebrate his presence, because they think he is the one who has guarded their village. It's not strictly wrong, but Choi Han has not been in the Henituse duchy for long enough for his fights to warp into local legend.
He has not flung himself off cliffs to lure demons to their deaths. He would not call the way he wields his sword fae-like. Only thrice has he saved fellow travelers from the snow-borne perils. But... they call him a hero and give him food and rest at their eternal bonfire, and that is good enough for Choi Han not to question it too much.
The rumours spread far enough that the duke himself descends from his mansion at the peak of the wintering mountains. When the village leader hollers the name 'Cale Henituse' through the snowy roads, the merriment goes silent. Choi Han is slower to fear and trepidation than the youngsters he is talking to, so he turns and meets the duke's rusted gaze head on.
"So you're the hero," comes Duke Henituse's first greeting, and his voice makes him seem younger than the ageless ice of his expression. Not that it is ageless ice anymore - Duke Henituse's bloody lips twist and splinter his face with a scathing smirk. "I suppose you're looking for a reward, then? Well, what have you?"
The children shrink away from the duke's imposing stare, and Choi Han feels his own agitation rear its head in response. "The fire, your Grace. I come on behalf of another village who has suffered decades of chill now. Can you share some of it with us?"
Duke Henituse's gaze narrows as his sneer widens. "Which village?"
"Does it matter? The cold is impartial, your Grace, it will freeze any that has no hearth like this one." Choi Han tips his head at the merrily blazing flame that burns bright enough to heat the entire village and light the roads in the eternal night. "The fire can be transported without weakening the hearth. I can do it myself!"
"You can try," Duke Henituse snorts. "The Eternal Winter does not take kindly to flame in its midst."
"Harris is-"
The logs in the bonfire crackle and spit, collapsing in a blast of flame. Around them, the villagers flinch away with hands raised against the light. Cale Henituse draws his spine straight and bares his teeth on a fogged breath, embers refracting in his fathomless gaze as his hair and cloak billow in the surge of heated air - a dark burgundy stain mars the right breast of his thick blouse. "Harris Village? Let them be consumed by the full force of the Winter! Let them shatter! Let them die!"
Choi Han raises his drawn sword at a defenseless man, and knows that no villager will stop him. "I will take some fire back to them."
"Ha!" the duke laughs, head thrown back derisively, "Then take some wood with you too! Harris will have precious little dry kindling. Give them our fire."
What a challenge that is. "I will," Choi Han snarls. The fire burns, and even at this distance he is starting to sweat. He takes a lamp from one of the children who offer, and a handful of large candles from another. When he glances over his shoulder, the Winter Lord is gone. Back to his lofty manor in the snow with him, then.
Choi Han thanks the children and bids the rest of the villagers adieu. The older of them shake their heads and chuckle like it is some inside joke. "No need to say goodbye, lad. Best of luck to you."
The fire snuffs out the moment he steps past the tree line.
He walks the twenty minutes back to the village in near-darkness. It is not hard; the warm glow is the brightest beacon they could have. The elders smile when he sheepishly greets them again, amused yet disappointed for his flame. Choi Han leaves and returns four more times before he slumps on the village's pub bench with his head in his hands. The bartender claps him on the shoulder in commiseration and shouts him a jug of mead. "The flame cannot leave the village's bounds. Not without his Grace's permission."
Choi Han sips on the spiced liquor and frowns. "Then that's what I'll do."
The trek up to the manor is treacherous; there are crevasses and cliffs obscured by blinding white, and Choi Han cannot imagine the frosty duke shimmying up the narrow ledge of this particular cliff to get home. But Choi Han has faced far worse getting to the village of the eternal hearth in the first place. He makes it up mostly unharmed, though his fingertips are raw and bleeding.
The manor gates are wrought iron. The windows are dark. When Choi Han raises his hand to the metal, it parts for him as if the hinges were oiled only minutes ago. Soundless and weightless. A single room lights up. Choi Han looks over on instinct. The sharp, willowy silhouette of Cale Henituse stares back.
#i Cannot start another long fic before i finish at least one of my ongoing ones istg#fusion of a bunch of source medias with winter/arctic settings that i half-remember#cale henituse#choi han#choicale#lcf fic#lcf#northern duke chch#part 1?

the thing about lanzenave’s invasion of jurgenschmidt is that, if the lanzenavian royals’ focus had been on saving as many lives as possible rather than on maintaining their own power, i think they could have easily brokered a deal with the royal family of jurgenschmidt to settle in one of the destroyed duchies as refugees.
once they learned that the current zent lacked the grutrissheit, instead of aiming to take over jurgenschmidt for themselves, they could have offered to trade what they knew of how to obtain the grutrissheit for safe passage. instead of pressing for jurgenschmidt to accept a new princess in order to continue the disgusting adalgiza system so that they could maintain their colonial regime in lanzenave, they could have made the decision to agree to the abolishment of the system and accept a more lowly position in jurgenschmidt.
if jurgenschmidt royalty was too concerned about the threat to their own power to allow the lanzenavians to live as nobles, they could have offered to be registered as commoners and dedicate their mana to the temple as blue priests and shrine maidens. gervasio and chiafreddo could have sacrificed their schtappes or chosen to stay behind in lanzenave to meet their fate there, in exchange for the safety of all the rest of the lanzenavian royals.
considering jurgenschmidt’s intense mana and manpower shortage, i think there was a very easy path to negotiating safe passage for much of the lanzenavian royal family, once jurgenschmidt had a zent with a grutrissheit safely ensconced.
the reason it didn’t happen wasn’t because of jurgenschmidt’s unwillingness to help. it was because of the lanzenavian leadership’s unwillingness to relinquish their own hold on power—a power that was only being maintained through colonialist oppression and the horrific exploitation and abuse of generation after generation of women and children.
it wasn't jurgenschmidt's royal family pushing for the continuation of the adalgiza villa system. it was lanzenave's. leonzio was eager to push his own sister into the villa so that the next king of lanzenave would be from his family. trauerqual was the one who turned that down. gervasio claimed that he wanted to make himself king of jurgenschmidt partially to abolish that system, but jurgenschmidt had already begun the process of abolishing it under trauerqual. in fact, remaining the head of the lanzenavian royal family would have allowed gervasio to ensure neither leonzio nor anyone else pushed to have it reinstated. clearly, abolishing the adalgiza system was a lower priority for him.
similarly, he claims that he must be king of jurgenschmidt to ensure that his wives, children, and other loved ones will be safely admitted to the country. yet the invasion was a much bigger gamble than merely negotiating their safe entry to jurgenschmidt would have been. if their safety were really his priority, why did he never attempt to negotiate their settlement in jurgenschmidt prior to taking the huge risk of invading to seize the throne for himself?
the actions of lanzenave's royals make it so clear that their focus—both the gervasio faction which wished to take over jurgenschmidt and the leonzio faction which wished to continue ruling lanzenave—was only on retaining power rather than on saving their families. while it's regrettable that the powerless among lanzenave's royal family are likely doomed to a terrible fate in the wake of the closing of the country gate, that fate was created by their ancestors who chose to colonize lanzenave and their family members who chose to prioritze their own power over the safety of those with whose lives they were entrusted.
there are no winners in the fallout of the invasion, really. jurgenschmidt probably would have greatly benefited from taking in the lanzenave royals as refugees, but that wasn't really an option any longer once the lanzenavians proved themselves willing and able to invade, commit mass slaughter, spread the use of weapons specifically designed to kill jurgenschmidt nobles, and attempt to seize control of jurgenschmidt against its citizens' wishes. closing the country gate is disastrous for lanzenave's royals, but after the invasion, it's the only safe choice for jurgenschmidt.
#i've got so many bookworm posts in the drafts XD#ascendance of a bookworm#i hope at least like some of the women and children are able to escape into jurgenschmidt through other countries

♡ She Catches You So Now You're Hers ♡
(Don't really know how else to describe this, you get isekai'd into the kingdom, she caught you and now you belong to her.)
♡ Abigail is a romantic so of course she's obsessed with you from the moment you land in her arms, it's literally like a story from one of her novels, you must be her fated maiden and although she knows the church would love to get their grubby hands on you, after all you're from the same place as the saint but she won't allow them to get you, you're hers from moment one so she won't let them get their grubby hands on you. There could be a prophecy of you saving the world but she still wouldn't give you up to them so to keep you hidden she quits her job and carries you off to her duchy with her so she can become the duke and hide her duchess from another world away from everything. Whether you want to go with her or not is irrelevant to this situation, she'll even lie if she has to, anything for you to be stuck with her. ♡
♡ When you're married she's very careful of who is allowed to interact with you, luckily this is the kingdom so no one questions her having a wife who she doesn't even let maids see, there's many nobles who keep their lovers completely hidden from anyone. Don't worry though, you can spend time with her or any kids you might have or adopt with her since her kids would obviously understand her possessive nature and likely be just as possessive of their future lovers themselves. She'd probably have a freak out if you just were walking in the garden alone even if there were no maids around so no one saw you, she'd likely keep you confined inside until you learn to ask her to go outside with you instead of just going whenever you feel like. ♡
♡ If you say you don't love her then she'll laugh because you will love her eventually, you fell into HER arms, clearly that means something! You just need time to understand how romantic that is. ♡

so about that regressing saintess trope—
Cedric was sure he was making a fool out of himself in front of all of his Knights, but he couldn’t give up after coming so far.
“Your Grace,” his Knight Commander finally addressed him. “Is there a particular reason we are in this city?”
The Knight Commander had already served Cedric’s father. When his parents had died, the Knight Commander had cared for him as though Cedric were his own child. The Ashvain duchy’s reputation hit rock bottom when Cedric inherited it, and many of the servants could’ve left, but instead they stayed to support the child they now had to call their lord.
The least Cedric could do was insure they’d survive this time.
When he’d woken from his seizure, nearly ripped apart by his magic, he’d been granted the memories of a future undone, the continent ripped apart by monsters, their only saving Grace too weak to stand up against them as she was caught up in intrigues of the palace and her training stifled.
“There’s a woman here,” Cedric said. “Brown hair, brown eyes, plain looking. She sells cabbages.”
For half the price if my customer looked really poor, Your Grace! Ah, don’t tell His Highness I said that…
“A woman,” the Knight Commander repeated. “Your Grace, have you—“
“I do not have a lover,” Cedric cut him off. “I wish for you to make her your apprentice.”
The Knight Commander stared at him in disbelief. “Why?”
Because a year from now, they will proclaim her Saintess and the Temple and the Crown Prince will dress her in silk instead of armor.
But Cedric couldn’t say that without raising suspicion or seeming like mad man.
“Just trust me on this,” Cedric asked and took a look around the marketplace. All eyes were focused on them, and there, right in front of the temple, stood an unassuming woman with a stall full of vegetables, wearing a farmer’s garb and an apron.
If she would refuse to come with them, Cedric would damn well strip her himself and put her in armor. God’s most beloved daughter belonged in the battlefield and he’d drag her there himself if he had to.
#fic: help i’ve transmigrated#Isekai#transmigration#original fiction#FL: why are you hiring me as a knight. i sell cabbages. i don’t even know how to hold a sword#Cedric who has seen the world end: I Can Fix That#anyway saintess who regressed and contract married the duke?#nice but have you considered:#regressor Duke who is TERRIFIED bc NOBODY taught the holy monster vanquisher how to do her job#bc they were so busy doing court romance bullshit#Cedric is forcibly dragging this out of the rofan and into the action genre#and I guess he gets to fall in love too maybe
