They met women who had experienced homelessness due to domestic abuse and sexual exploitation.

Well, if it's any consolation, Oman is the most unbothered Arab country, I honestly didn't know they had an heir, I wonder if the label is accurate

Their method for succession is that the Sultan writes a will naming his successor, and the family council have 3 days to decide on one, if they fail, they open the will

After the last Sultan died, his family refused to hold any discussions and opened the will directly out of respect to him, and that's how they got their new Sultan, no fighting or anything, so unbothered 😂

The expedition, scheduled to begin in January of 2025, will trace a historic route from Ras Al Hadd in the Wilayat of Sur, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, following the coastline to the city of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate. This 30-day journey will bring together Omani youth and British travel enthusiasts in a unique cultural exchange.

The project aims to develop youth skills in exploration, heritage preservation, and sustainable environmental practices. It pays homage to British explorer Bertram Thomas, who in 1928 became the first European to cross the Rub al Khali desert (The Empty Quarter), following ancient Omani trade routes. The launch event will feature a display of artifacts from Thomas’s historic expedition.
